I had left two calls over a two-week period and got no return call. I Called back a third time got somebody on the phone and asked them to service a furnace they installed for me.  She told me they don't service that furnace anymore with a bad attitude, and hung up on me

Came home from work to find water in bathroom in our remodeled basement. Further inspection found minor flooding in laundry room and another room. My husband came home to find if we flushed a toilet or turned on water, started flooding again. This occurred on day that Govenor Cuomo ordered 100% work force reduction for non essential services. I know plumbing is considered essential services but after getting no answers from other companies we tried Duffett. So glad we did. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He had the problem fixed within an hour. I can't say enough good things about this company! It ended up being a problem with main sewage drain. During this time with corona virus, I had to use all my bleach to clean lol! That was what impressed me. I would not want to deal with sewage at any time, but especially right now. No hesitation from anyone. Just concern and helpfulness. We as a family are very thankful to Duffett!

The man who came over was really nice. I understand that it's his company's policy but- my husband received either or call or mail (we used them before) about a service check for $20. Right away I figured it was not a good idea but he wanted to try. We had our house inspection two years ago so I know our furnace is not perfect but they said it should last another five years. Our house isn't very old. The nice guy went to leave and said that he had to come back when both my husband and myself are home to talk about the furnace. I think that is just ridiculous especially during a time of Covid- why come out one more time? Why can you not tell my husband on the phone what's wrong with his furnace? Why can you not tell me (who is sitting right in front of you) what is wrong with my furnace? The whole thing was just ridiculous so we called lake view  heating and cooling to come check and it out. I understand that it's policy of the company and not this man's fault but the policy is absolutely ridiculous. I am not even financially tied to this house. What if I was just a girlfriend? Do you only speak to married couples? My husband is active military with a medical unit, he can't exactly leave work during a time of Covid to talk about a furnace when you could do it over the phone. Silly. Oh and in the summer we stayed outside with a guy, Who fixed our AC, and he told us that they do duct cleaning and he suggested we do that. Today on the phone they told my husband that they don't even do that! Like what the heck is going on

I called because the hot water kept going out in both of my showers with my tankless water heater. The first plumber couldn't find an issue. The problem continued so I called again. The second plumber blamed it on the water and told me that I needed to install a whole house water filter and descaler along with new shower heads and bathroom faucets. He threatened to void the warranty on my tankless if I didn't do the installations. $8000 later, I had somewhat improved water pressure (not the issue I called for) but the problem was still there. It was actually a little worse because now the kitchen faucet hot water also was going out. I called again and insisted it had to be the tankless and explained that the kitchen water was also now affected. Was again told I was wrong and that I needed to replace the valves on both bathtubs. He even was going to give me a break and only charge $550. Two holes in my walls and two unnecessary valves later, the problem was still there. Fortunately this work was done by someone astute, who checked the tankless for an error code and found one. It was a dirty sensor which he cleaned and the problem resolved. It was still under warranty so it would have been a no charge repair in the first place. $8550 later, my daughter's fall tuition gone and no apology, no offer of any restitution. Will I call Duffett again, I think not.

I am a female, divorcee/single parent. Had some leaking from upper bathroom to lower bathroom. Called this company for an estimate and sad to say, the gentleman who came out definitely tried to take advantage of me. Apparently my toilet was leaking, had cracks. The plumber (Mitch) actually quoted me $970 to basically install a new toilet. Home Depot charges $200 for the install with the price of toilets ranging from as low as $99. He even tried to pressure me into purchasing a new sick- an entire vessel due to a dripping faucet. Total con artist!! DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY.

They will scam you!!!!  We cancelled their service after paying $1000 down and they told us they would shred the check.  Well they didn't and ended up depositing the check.  Stay away!

We needed to replace our water tank which had begun leaking and called Duffett. Mitch came out within 2 hours to explain our options. He was very personable with a great sense of humor which helped reduce our anxiety about anticipated costs. We opted for the tankless water heater which will increase our home value when it's time to sell. He scheduled installation within 48 hours.
At 8:45 Mike arrived and asked if we had any questions before work was begun. He was joined by Blake and they worked efficiently removing the tank, installing new piping and the smaller, wall-mounted unit. During the 5 hours they were here, you could tell that they enjoyed working together, bantering back and forth. Upon completion they cleaned the area and reviewed with us how the unit works, encouraging questions.
Everyone we dealt with wore masks and maintained appropriate distance.
We were well-pleased with the whole process.

Wouldn't give one star but I had to pick something.  Had an emergency last night, called them, said they would get back to me. Never heard from them again.   If you know what's good for you, look somewhere else for service.... These guys are unprofessional.
