Note: I have 12 years of general contracting expertise.  My elderly parents had a leak under their sink and as I was out of town, I advised that they just get someone in ASAP to prevent any damage and, from experience, recommended they call AP plumbing.  From the account of my parents, and the two plumbers that were sent who I spoke to on the phone, they inspected the sink, the faucet, the supplies, and the drain.  They cut holes in the under sink cabinet and in the drywall.  Lots of water but No leak found. My parents contacted me afterwords and said a) AP said the leak was coming from outside and couldn't be identified (though they told them it hadn't rained in 2 weeks and the floor was actively wet) and b) they had been charged $600.  Two men, three hours, no solution $600.

My dad told me this and that the leak was still active but as AP had told them it wasn't coming from the sink, they continued to use the sink and unbeknown to them the damage worsened behind the cabinet and then running into the kitchen floor and bathroom ceiling below- mold, ruined drywall in the kitchen and the bathroom below, and now severely warped wood flooring.  I estimate it will be +$2000 to repair all back to normal.

When I arrived home it took me minutes of sticking my head into the holes AP had cut to identify the source of the leak - the sink drain.  Admittedly, the point of the leak was 4 or so passed where AP had cut the hole in the cabinet but all it took was sticking my head in there with a flashlight to find it.   I noted my construction experience because take it from me, this is really basic stuff.

AP came back and repaired it (figured we may as well get our money's worth for $600 instead of performing the repair myself). I was satisfied with the professionalism and skill of the the repair as is typical with AP - but they then tried to charge another $600 or so for the the repair (my figures may be off but it was close to that).  We called AP and they did the right thing and waived the charge.

I see AP is good about responding to reviews - I'm just being honest here - in this industry the price is the price but it's unbecoming of your reputation (I've hired you for commercial work multiple times over the years) to not identify such a simple leak and now I'm looking at pretty steep repair costs.

I'm happy to revise or remove my review for a better resolution than $600.  It's just not right that I'm into a pretty big repair job now because I couldn't help my parents that day and the professionals at AP plumbing didn't do their due diligence.  This review should be 5 stars and say AP saved the day - in which case I wouldn't be sweating the bill.  The only bright side is that I was able to get home within a week, no telling how much more damage could have occurred if I had been delayed longer.

I asked them for a price over the phone and they said they had to see the job first. When the plumber arrived, he went right for a standard price sheet. $400 to install a kitchen faucet. What a rip-off. I paid them over $50 to drive to my house and ended up doing the install myself in a little over 1 hr, and I am not an expert plumber. I will never call AP plumbing again.

Yesterday I googled what do you do when your basement floods?! And today I have a new tankless unit from Navien thanks to AP Plumbing and their helpful crew! Manny V was super helpful and informative along the way and clearly believes in the value of this product. Both Cullen Lozipone and Matt Gordon assisted with diagnostics and installation and I couldn't be happier. Having to deal with something like a basement flood or unexpected plumbing concern can be a nightmare but these guys helped make it seamless. Will definitely be calling AP for all my future plumbing needs!

Good service but at a very high cost. The tech was on time for my job to replace a new kitchen faucet which I supplied. The tech was polite and efficient, finishing the job in less than an hour. Not knowing so at the time, I paid far more than I could have elsewhere. AP Plumbing charged me $387. Including tax and with a $40. off coupon that I presented. This was well over what I now know I could have paid. Today I checked with Home Depot installers and was told that they would have done the job for $150. Lesson learned, I won't call AP Plumbing again.

Our hot water heater started leaking 2 1/2 years when it was installed. I call AP Plumbing. Charged $89 just to come out. Since the water heater was under warranty, I took it back once it was out and got a new one. After installing it (it was the same one as the old one), I was charged $1,100!!!! I feel that it is an outrageous amount for installing it since I took the old one back and got the new one!!!! NEVER AGAIN WILL I HAVE AP PLUMBING DO ANY WORK IN MY HOME OR WILL I EVER RECOMMEND THEM!!!!!

I found they were available for my basement that was flooded. the value after the water meter was leaking.  they gave me a price for the value of close to $500. Plus service charges bill was $630 After looked up the price at Home Depot and was $79. What a difference.  I will look for another plumbing service.  watch out for this company.

I see a few negative reviews on yelp, my experience with AP was great and I will use them in the future.  I received 3 phone calls during the day from the office to update me on when to expect the technician. they definitely were concerned with me feeling like my time was wasted.  Don K showed up on time from the final follow up (20 minutes out) he was smiling, pleasant, clean, and didn't waste any time. Even had the little booties to keep my floors clean.  My job was a simple one, he was ok with me watching so I could do it myself if necessary in the future, even educated me on how the valve worked.  the kicker was I was considering changing out the faucet, and he steered we away from it until we do our remodel as the new faucets that would fit my setup aren't as high quality as my old one.  Shower now works better than if I had half assed it again, price was reasonable, and Don was terrific...100% recommended, and will use them for any other plumbing needs in the future.  Clone Don and keep up the good work!

$365 to install a dishwasher? Plus almost $200 more to swap out the shut off? REALLY? If you don't want to do it, just tell me. My father-in-law and I decided to do it instead. We're pretty handy, but have never done a dishwasher before. Both tasks were done in less than 3 hours. Yikes.

THIS IS A RESPONSE FROM AP PLUMBING CUSTOMER RECENTLY-
Comment from Lynette R. of AP Plumbing
Business Manager
4/22/2020I believe your wife Val has already left us a review and spoken with our service manager in regard to your concerns. We appreciate everyone's opinion but will always stand behind our pricing. We explain exactly what you can expect during your initial phone call to our office, which all incoming calls are recorded. The technician provides a quote in writing prior to starting any work, if you did not agree with the quoted pricing you were not obligated to have the work performed, and would have just been required to pay the $89 charge for our technician to come out to your home, which we inform you of prior to our arrival.

AND HERE IS MY EXPERIANCE YESTERDAY! RUN, DONT WALK TO  ANOTHER REPUTABLE PLUMBING SERVICE!!!!
Well this response from a business manager at AP Plumbing pretty much sums it up! I paid $89 for some rude, incompetent tech to come and quote me $750 (parts only) to replace a faulty kitchen faucet. Same faucet at Home Depot is $59, plus installation, Ive used AP several times in the past and always felt secure in their pricing and knowledge. Time to move on!

EDIT: A manager had contacted me and offered to refund half of the cost. This was over a week ago and we have not received the refund.

SCAM ARTISTS! DO NOT USE! They won't fix your problem and they will charge you for the attempt.

Technician came out, said it would be $500 to snake out our clogged gutter drain. Seemed expensive but we aren't experts and valuing the experience of an expert, we agreed to the price. After attempting it he announced that he couldn't complete the job, they would need to come back with a camera and dig up the pipe for thousands of dollars. He then said that he still needed to charge us the $500 for the attempt, even though we were in the exact same position we were before he started.

$500 to not fix our problem. Will never use or recommend this company again. I understand that it's $89 to have a technician come out, but the rest of that fee should be contingent upon actually completing the service they agreed to do. Imagine if a painter came to your house, painted the bottom half of the wall and said 'Oh, my ladder won't reach the top of your wall, but you still need to pay me the price I quoted.'

I called regarding my sewage line being plugged and I needed it snaked. I went to rent a snake because I know how to do it, but during the COVID-19 they aren't allowing snakes to be rented. When I called I specifically told them the issue and what I needed and they told me pricing would be given on the job but a charge of $89 will be charged for the visit. He came and I told him what was going on again and he told me 400-600 dollars. I said how did you get that number he replied it's flat rate. So I was swindled into them coming just to pay them 100 when they could have told me the price over the phone and I would have told them not to come and save 100. All in all I will never use this service again and I will be calling corporate.

9/2/20 I had them out because my tub was backed up.  I called and they explained their rates and charges ($89 dispatch fee) but I was fine with that since every plumber charges to just get in the truck and walk in the door.  The rep came and was courteous and attributed the problem to low pressure in the toilets, which was true our toilets hadn't been working well at all for about the past 6 months.  He cleaned out the 2 toilets in the house for another $90 and I gladly paid $190 for the service.  Fast forward to 10/1/20 and guess what?  The tub is backed up again!  I called AP back and they were more then happy to come back out but wouldn't waive the $89 dispatch fee.  They said that clogs aren't warrantied.  This is where good service would have been the difference between a 1 star review and a 5 star review.  Eat the $89 AP and show some good faith.  It's not even necessarily about the $ for me, I can live without $89 just the same as they can, it's just the principle. Called Pride Plumbing and their dispatch fee is only $49 and once they do the work they apply it to the bill.

Today was the first time using AP Plumbing and also the last. I did give them 2 stars due to they were kind and friendly on the phone and in person but work was terrible. I called on a slow drain and payed a significant amount of money for a less than adequate repair ever so slightly better. I was then told the way to fix it completely would cost $2300 I DONT THINK SO !!!!!!!!. There was also a considerable mess left in my tub dirt and sludge. Well as the old saying goes learn from your mistakes well I really did today. Please use caution with this company

We had AP plumbing do some work in our bathrooms and they did not wear masks! They were the masks when they walked in and walked around the house but when they were in the bathroom they did not wear masks. Also I feel they overcharged us after calling other plumbing services and they were $40-$50 higher than other places. If you have older people looking for plumbing work please talk to them about their mask situation!

I hired this company to find and repair a small leak in my kitchen. They sent two workman down to find and fix the problem. They charged $361.00 to walk in the door. Then added another $270.00 to look for the leak. After making holes in my kitchen cabinets, drywall, and bathroom ceiling they concluded the water was coming from outside the house, despite the fact it hadnt rained for a week. Two hours later water started leaking again from the bathroom ceiling.

My son came to the house and found a leak from the kitchen sink drain line in around twenty minutes. I then called AP again. They came down the next days and repaired the leak which required replacing a PVC drain
joint. They then wanted to Charge an additional $556.00 for a total charge of $1227. to repair a minor leak in a pvc connection. Needless to say I didnt pay the second charge and asked for a credit towards the first charge.

I've lived in Rochester for two years. We have done many upgrades on our home since moving here. AP has been the only company that I have used with good service. They are promt with appointments and ALWAYS show up. (I was shocked by how many companies  just don't show up: plumbing, fence, electrical etc).  Everyone that I've talked to with AP is friendly, polite and professional. They shared online coupons with me that I was unaware of and even gave me recommendations for things to do In the area. This is a great company!

I have used AP Plumbing for a decade and they have (literally) thousands of my dollars -- a basement issue 6 or 7 years ago cost me north of $3,000. I had previously been happy with their work, and figured that the high prices charged were OK since their work had always been good. Until now. I had my toilet clog (it had been sluggish for a while) on Monday and they got out to me on Tuesday. The work took about 30 minutes (hand auger) and I was charged $273. Expensive, but I figured I wouldn't have to worry about this problem for the foreseeable future. I was wrong. On Friday -- THREE DAYS LATER -- the toilet clogged again. I called and was told that drain clearing doesn't carry a warranty so I would be charged $89 for another visit plus be charged for the work. Now, I don't blame the individual plumber who came out -- he was a nice guy and it appeared he got the toilet unclogged (several test flushes after the work was done showed it was working again). And he does not set the prices. But really? Charge me again for the same work THREE DAYS LATER? A company needs to stand behind its work, AP didn't. Very disappointing. But I'm glad it happened now as I'm having some major renovation work done next year which will include several large plumbing jobs. I'm sure they could do the work well, but, on principle, I will never be calling this company again. Too bad, as their plumbers have always been nice and the work they had done for me (until now) had been good, albeit expensive. An expensive lesson for me, but one well learned.

When we called to make an 'appointment' we gave the make/model of our water heater, was told someone would show up between noon and 5pm the next day (they actually called 15 minutes before showing up the next day).

They didn't bother telling us they can not (by LAW, they claim) work on our water heater because we did not buy it through a contractor  -  The reason they knew we hadn't bought through a contractor was by the BRAND ; something they could have told us BEFORE we sat around for 3 hours, and of course paid the $53.00 fee (including tax) because the guy actually showed up and spent 2 minutes in the basement!

They did however offer to install a new hot water tank for ONLY  $1090.00 - excluding tax - for a tiny 40 gallon tank.

Our house was built in 1918.  Water service was added in 1927.  With the lack of water pressure we needed a new line.   After looking I found AP plumbing.  I was very impressed with the crew and the work done.  I expected that we would run into problems (what do you expect from a 100 year old house.)  They did everything they could to run the line, unfortunately, they ended up having to dig up the yard.    I don't blame them at all, I saw the work they did and how how hard they worked to do it.    Price was right and, even with the extra work stayed on price.  They were polite, considerate of us homeowners, cleaned up after themselves.

I would recommend them and would certainly use them again!

I had my wife call AP plumbing to get a repair cost of looking into a low leak in the Kitchen sink. In a self inspection I could see that the leak was coming from near a soldered joint where the threaded joint was connected for the PVC trap/Garbage disposal. Since I couldn't determine the exact leak source I expected at worse that the copper drain pipe would be cut back and then reconnected to the PVC. Well the plumber who showed up stated that the copper pipe itself was actually cracked (hard to believe on a drain pipe with a non blocked garbage disposal) but since the location was tight and the possibility of sweating a pipe in a wall is not something I want to take on we told him to replace and just tie into the pipe in the basement.

4 joint couplers, 16 inches of Joint/plumbers tape, some joint cement, 30 inches of PVC, and a hole cut in the bottom of my cabinet and 45 minutes of work for the tune of 1094.00 plus tax.

Work was clean and neat but there is no way that I will be using them again since the cost of materials at best is 30 bucks (if you bought triple what you would need), and then 530.00 per hour rate charge... I'm sorry but no plumber is worth that much per hour even with a calculated flat rate.

The technician was helpful but here comes the issues. Paying $176.00 for diagnostic and having someone show up then to be lead down a road of more and more $$$$. I needed my tankless water heater to be replaced but it is covered under warranty. I was told the labor would be $295 per hour which while I'm no plumber seems quite insane for a routine job. I was quoted $1200 to install the new one but the best part is they wanted me to give them $500 down payment today towards a tentative appointment depending on getting the warrantied free replacement in the first place. You want $500 toward a job that has not even begun to be executed. You are not contractors buying materials. Just no

I had AP Plumbing repair a utility sink faucet. First they wanted to charge me over $500.00 to put in a new faucet. So then they were able to fix the current faucet by replacing 2 rubber O-rings and 1 flat rubber washer. They charged me over $50.00 for the  2 rubber O-ring and the 1 flat washer. Then their was the $89.00 service charge and over a $100.00 flat rate charge. So almost $300.00 to replace 2 O-rings and 1 rubber washer. It took the repair guy at least 4 trips to the truck to find the right parts. It would have been cheaper to let the faucet drip 24/7 and thats with public water. Bottom line way over priced $50.00 for 3 rubber O-rings an washers. And $200.00 just to walk in the door. Needless to say I will not be using AP Plumbing again.

My experience is that AP Plumbing is painfully expensive. A supply line connector to an old toilet in my home broke at midnight last month, and my house was flooded. Under duress the next morning, I called AP. I agreed to pay $400 to replace the old supply line and cut off valve. $87 was for AP to come on a Sunday and the remaining $313 was for the few inches of new line, a new valve, and the roughly 8 minutes of labor it took to do the job.

The employee who came to my house was courteous and professional, and he quoted me the entire price first. I was sleep deprived and stressed out and looking at water damage, and it was a Sunday, and in fairness, I agreed to pay it before he did the work.

This week I decided to upgrade the old supply line and valve to my other old toilet, as the old valve to this one would also not shut off and I was worried about the same thing happening. I shut off the water main, took the old line and valve to Home Depot, and for about $22 I got the same new parts that AP used. It took me about 8 minutes to replace them myself.

I am still berating myself for letting someone take advantage of me and paying $400, which is a great deal of money for me. It did inspire me to figure out a bit about plumbing on my own. Lesson learned.

Ultimately, he did a fantastic job at clearing the blockage and the clean up afterwards.

First of all, if you are reading this I am sorry you are looking for a plumber. Plumbing stuff sucks. Anyway, I have used AP plumbing three times now and I won't use anyone else. The first time was in our old house when our kitchen drain clogged-- they sent someone that evening and the service was great. The second time I used them for a water heater installation-- that obviously was a much bigger project. I appreciated the honesty of the technician, Jerry W. He showed me what the issues were and I trusted his expertise. Jerry also came back another time to redo some plumbing lines, put in some new shut offs, and diagnose/replace a water expansion tank. The company is very forward about pricing and there are no surprises. I also appreciated the communication from their office about availability and technician ETA.

I will give them one star for showing up on time and fixing the problem. We were kind of stuck with them because we don't know anything about plumbing. They came to fix my 80 year old Mom's toilet. We later found out they totally ripped her off. $170 for a flapper and $172 for a fill valve, both of which are probably $6 parts. Another $89 for the pleasure of them even coming to the house. At the end of the day my  Mom paid $443 for a 15 minute visit. I would never call them again.

Update: Lynette below has Jason her Service Manager call me. He basically admitted their prices were high but since I paid it I could go pound sand. He was really rude. Run from this place!!! My bad for not getting another estimate to see that I was getting ripped off.

Discovered a leaking toilet on Sunday evening (9/11/16).  Sent an email to AP Plumbing right away.  Received a call by about 9:00am on Monday, 9/12.  They were nice enough to help schedule someone to come to my house by 1:00pm that same day.  I asked if there was a cancelation, etc. that I would be available earlier.  They called back by about 10:30am and the technicians arrived shortly there after.  Within about 1/2 hour, Merritt Shippee had determined what the problem was.  He and his trainee wrote up an estimate and explained the entire job to me so that I fully understood it.  I agreed with the price and they had the job done, checked it out to ensure there were no issues very quickly.  I appreciate everything along with the professional manner in witch they conducted themselves.  I feel that I got an excellent job for a reasonable price from AP Plumbing.

Lynette,

Thank you for responding and your questions.  I agree, it is good to know if the comparisons are equal.

The information on the quote I received from AP was for Replace sump pump with 1/3 HP pump $561.81 (Retail cost $200) and Liberty SJ10A backup pump $1,556.20 (Backup pump with the alarm, retail cost $500).  No additional information or explanation was provided of what would be provided in the installation; such as the double check valve, compression valves or the first test and report to MCWA. When I spoke to your plumber during the inspection, I indicated we did not need an alarm as I had a water alarm in the sump pump closet but the pump with the alarm was quoted. We also discussed that there was an existing water backup system installed and no additional piping would be required.

In answer to your questions: I did not have the alarm for the backup pump installed.  As for the valves; yes, there are three check valves on the system, two I know are compression. As for the report to MCWA, I am not sure but will ensure it was completed.

The bottom line to my complaint/concern was the total cost or the amount being charged for labor above the cost of materials.  Even taking in consideration of the SJ10A alarmed backup quoted, the cost of material at retail would have been around $900, on the high end.  That still calculates to $1,200 for installation for what would be a maximum of a two hour install.

The service I used charged $750 ($1,368 less than your quote) for all the equipment and installation and the job was completed in one hour.

There is a reason this company is rated so poorly. Do not use them! They quoted me almost $700 to unclog my plumbing. I agreed. They ended up being at my house for about an hour and were unable to resolve the issue. They said they would only charge me half and the other half would be collected if they have to come back out. Wtf? $350 for an hour of work that didn't resolve anything. The only thing they did was dig three tiny holes in my yard. I offered to pay them some for their time. Didn't want a freebie. But they would take 50% or nothing. They are scam artists that don't know what they are doing. Side note: this happened to me 2.5 years ago and the plumber I used them was able to resolve the issue for $800 in one day. Avoid AP Plumbing!

One of my tenants called AP to help snake a drain because Home Depot or Lowe's was not renting due to the COVID-19 outbreak. AP shows up to the house, doesn't even want to go into the house to look at the job, tells my tenant $400-$600 to snake the drain from the clean out in the front yard, ignorant deduction as the main was plugged and he had done no investigating. When obviously the price was astronomical and for a low income house during a pandemic they can not afford a 400-600 GUESS on what's wrong, so AP Plumbing has the nerve to demand a $100 fee for showing up at the house. Absolute garbage. We had it handled by another professional company promptly in less than 2 hours for $100.00. Bottom line, these guys are shifty trying to take advantage of people already living in a disadvantaged situation. It's a national health crisis and that's how you treat people. GARBAGE.

I ALMOST feel bad posting this die to the fact that this company didn't even make it to our house, but I think this needs to be shared.. I called AP Plumbing at 11:30 on Saturday morning.  I get it, Saturday's are rough.  They quoted me between 3-5.  They called me back at 5 and said they would be here around 6:30, 6:30 comes and goes and they don't call
Me back until 8:00PM!!! Only to tell me obviously we aren't there, so we are just going to have to call you tomorrow morning. Absolutely ridiculous.  Won't be waiting on them any longer, poor way to keep or do new business.

The morning after I posted my critical review of AP Plumbing, I received a phone call from one of the managers.  He was attentive to my feedback, and his demeanor sounded sincere.  He offered me an option to get a partial refund, or get additional work done for free.  I opted for the partial refund.  About three weeks later, I received the check.

I appreciate a business that makes strides to understand the issues with a job, and gives back to reconcile the matter.  It shows that AP Plumbing is willing to listen, and to improve.

Thank you, AP Plumbing.

I called AP plumbing regarding a bathroom faucet that wouldn't turn off. They told me it would cost $89 just to come to the house if they didn't make it there before 5pm. Conveniently, they arrived at 5:02 pm. The plumber said I needed a new faucet and it would cost me $850 to purchase and install. I declined and asked him instead to install a shut off just for that sink...that cost me $250 plus the $89 for arriving 2 minutes after 5.
I distrusted this guy from the start. I found another plumber and he purchased and installed a faucet for $150. DO NOT TRUST AP plumbing! Bad business!

I made an appointment with AP Plumbing to come to my home because I wanted a faucet replaced. They had been highly recommended. I was told they would arrive between 3 and 5 pm. I purposely left work early and rushed home because I wanted to make sure I was there when they arrived. After waiting a hour for them the phone rings and it was AP plumbing calling to cancel the appt. and wanted me to reschedule.
My time and schedule are just as important to me as theirs are to them. They want to charge you $50 to give you and estimate, are they going to give me $50 for canceling at the last minute? If they were going to cancel they should have done it way before the expected time! When asked if I wanted to reschedule for the following week I told them I would reschedule with someone who keeps their appointments....isn't that the reason you make an appointment in the first place?
If your time is valuable to you, keep looking and don't bother with this company!

I called AP Plumbing yesterday morning when I discovered the carpet in my newly finished basement was damp. I scheduled an appointment and the dispatcher called when technician was on the way so I was able to finish out the day at work. Don was terrific, he explained what needed to be done, provided the quote and warranty in writing and had the new sump pump installed in about an hour. While he was here I also had him fix a drip in my bathroom sink and the kitchen faucet sprayer. He was careful to not let my dog out when he went out to his van......much appreciated! They honored my online coupon, which saved me $40.00. Overall positive experience and I would use them again!

I paid $270 for a service call to clean and reassemble the burner on my hot water heater. When the pilot light when out the next day and I couldn't get it to light I called them back.  They returned late for an appointment, then gave me an estimate on a gas valve and burner totaling more than $900!  When I told them I was going to purchase a water heater from a store, the technician gave me an estimate of $700 for an installation of a customer supplied water heater!  My neighbor referred me to another plumber.

I needed a kitchen faucet replaced and having observed AP Plumbing van at a neighbors home, called for a quote. As they do not give quotes by phone, was told they priced by the job, not the hour and for $49 fee to come out and give quote, would be refunded upon contracting to have the job done then and there. Price the guy gave me was $416.00!!! SEVERELY INFLATED for a 15 minute job (I know because another plumber did the job for $100 and did it in 15 minutes...simple swap out same brand identical faucet for the faulty one) I feel the $49 fee to come out is a ploy to get consumers to agree to their inflated job prices. I would NEVER recommend this company! Consumer Beware!

I had a horrible experience with AP. I asked Matt, the plumber, several times to leave my house, he would not. It was so bad my dog had to chase him out. The plumber was extremely aggressive with me, doubted my knowledge of my own house and the price was extremely high ($850 for a three piece shower faucet.)

I had a leaky shower faucet, he said it was iffy if it could be repaired and I was better off getting a new one, I agreed. He wanted to rip the tile out, I said I would prefer to go thru the back. He did not even consider that. If I had not known we could it, it would have been very costly! That $850 was with me making the access in the back for him or it would have been even more!

Matt complained about his co-workers to me and complained about how my plumbing was done and how hard to job would be for him. He slammed his tools around my room and knocking over the boards I had removed bending part of my heat vent.

When I called to find out what were Matt's qualifications, I was told I should trust him because they trust him and if he makes a mistake it is covered under a year warranty and that should make me comfortable.

After I put Matt's tools on the porch and let him know he was fired, he still tried to come in my house, he told me he had to fill out an invoice. I had to close and lock my door. I told him he could fill it out and leave it on my porch. This is a bad guy.

I used them years ago for a main issue and that plumber, Brian Hill, was extremely helpful and courteous. If I have another issue like that I would see if I could get him, but for anything else I will never use them again. I didn't even get an apology from Matt's direct supervisor, Jason.

In the end, it cost $350 and no troubles.

UPDATE:

I did receive a call from the business manager, Lynette R., and she did apologize for the incident. She seemed very sincere and I do not believe this is indicative of her management.

**DO NOT USE, THESE GUYS ARE RIP $$$** My sink was leaking water at one of my rental homes and I wanted someone to come out and take a look ASAP for the tenants. So AP Plumbing sent a technician out to take a look. He said that it would cost me $600+ to replace the faucet and they could add hoses for free. Well the faucet cost me $20 at Home Depot, it was just put in! So I told him no, the charges DO NOT add up. He was so rude about it, even said well I guess your tenants are not going to have any water and was pissed off I didn't use his services. The tenant even called me to tell me that the technician told them that there is another issue of Mold from the leak. (The leak just started that day, that was a lie!!) I called another plumbing company in Rochester, and they came out right away and fixed the faucet for $80.00!! He said the faucet was put on backwards (by my maintenance guy) and all he did was put it back to normal, no need to put in another faucet. These people are trying to make every extra buck out of you as possible! Ridiculous stuff right here!!

I have stopped doing plumbing because nothing ever goes right and after three trips to the home improvement store and all the blue air, I've decided that AP Plumbing will be my plumber!  Professional, courteous and they do the job right.  Dependable and honest.  The estimate is the price.  Thanks Mike!  Thanks Merritt and Tony!

Outrageously high prices, and they charge you $89 just to walk in the door and give you the quote. I agreed to it, like an idiot, because I just wanted the job done and use the sink again. They installed a new garbage disposal in about 15 minutes and I paid what you would pay for a good dishwasher being installed. My bad for agreeing to it. They have a flat rate price for everything which seems to take into account any worst case scenario so that they are covered, meaning that the customer only benefits if the worst case scenario actually comes to fruition. So for any basic standard services go someplace else.
