We just bought a place in Brooklyn and for the first time, needed to do some homeowner shit. The kitchen sink needed some love, and all of our efforts (plunging, draino, removing the ptrap) were fruitless.

Aladdin plumbing was recommended by someone in our building, and offered the fairest price, $185/hr, of the places that we called. When the two hour window was just about up, I received a call explaining the next available person would be by within another two hours. Understandable, but I wasn't psyched about having to wait around.

They finished the job within 15 minutes, which was great, so we asked for them to do some preventative work in the bathroom. Maybe that was a big ask, because we received a very, very, unenthusiastic response. Yikes.

Still, on the way out, one of the guys was very friendly and chatty. Overall, would definitely recommend them if you're in need!

Very disappointed with customer service.
Tried to reach someone for a follow up but calls never returned. Don't waste your time.

They suck charged me 400 dollars for a thermostat installed a boiler the pipes keep banging he said because it's a new boiler it's been a year and it is still banging dont use they are very rude

Could not get a call back for a gas issue, was told the owner Mike would call us back for days and never got the call. Receptionist was extremely rude and did not care that families did not have gas over the holidays.

I have a contract with HomeServe to service & repair the boiler & two hot water heaters in my mixed use building. Hurricane Ida resulted in the basement flooding & the hot water heaters stopped working. HomeServe came & fixed one of the hot water heaters. They advised me that the other one needed to be replaced. I called Aladdin to do the job. Michael looked at the hot water heater and said it could be repaired & did, not need to be replaced. He changed some parts, got it working and saved me a lot of money!

Larry Williams from Aladdin Plumbing arrived on time, as usual. He observed all Covid protocols. He quickly and competently repaired our bathroom problem. He cleaned up the work area perfectly. And he was courteous from start to finish.

If you're too busy to supply a service, at least be honest upfront. (like others were)

I wholeheartedly recommend Aladdin Heating Co. My 70-year-old furnace had an inoperable gas valve. Michael Bruno assessed the situation and fixed the valve in 10 minutes!! His experience and excellent service were invaluable.

I called the company to let them know that my pipe is frozen and there is access to the pipe from the outside... The person on the phone said that they specialize in frozen pipes... When the plumber showed up, he confirmed that the pipe is in fact frozen and he can see the pipe, however he just left saying that it's too cold for him to do the work... it is winter and the pipe is frozen... what did he expect??? Find another company with employees who are willing to work for their money...

My landlord hired this company to fix a leak in apt. I was leaving for work and had no choice but to leave the plumbers in my apt under my landlords supervision.... THEY STOLE a large sum on money and when I contacted their office they were no help and hung up the phone. This company is not to be trusted!!!!

I used their online chat to speak with one of their plumbers and they were very helpful!  The person I spoke with was Michael Bruno who seemed like an experienced plumber who had a very good understanding of my problem.  If they were closer to my area, I would definitely seek them for plumbing services.

Aladdin plumbing puts customers first. I have an older faucet and was unsure of how to fix it. I was pretty certain I needed to purchase an entire new faucet. I reached out to Aladdin and Erik was so kind and offered me professional, HONEST advice and took care of me. It turned out that I only needed to replace a small part - not the entire faucet! Despite me living in another state - he still took the time to research my faucet issue and he located the replacement part for me!!!! Outstanding customer service. I highly recommend Aladdin Plumbing Corp for any plumbing issue. If you're looking for a great experience, go with Aladdin. Kudos to their entire team!

Amazing experience.  Mike was super responsive and extraordinarily helpful.  He identified several problems with our hot water heater (which has been installed incorrectly) and he had it back up and running in no time at all.  Great customer service.  Could not be happier.   We will definitely be using Aladdin for all our plumbing needs in the future.

I have been a residential customer for 10 years now both for my apartment and for our brownstone condo. Mike and his team respond quickly and are very thorough. I called them to fix a leaky shower. First, the guy asked me all sorts of pointless questions (probably to gauge how much BS he could tell me) and then refused to give me an estimate (he shouted ARE YOU SERIOUS???? when I asked for one). When I called the office to complain, they said that's the way they do business.

They have to be the one you call first.  The staff and technicians are very professional and efficient.  The relieve you of all the stress that can be caused by any plumbing needs you may have.  So glad I chose them.

Erik Gitli of Aladdin Plumbing and his crew did an excellent job installing the waste and water lines for a second floor washer and dryer at my Bayridge home.  I had contacted 3 plumbers in order to get estimates.  Erik came to my home and we discussed the job.  He was very responsive to emails regarding the specifications for the washer and the size of the required drain lines.  While his quote for the estimate was similar to the other plumbers, you could tell that he really cares about the quality of his work.  His crew arrived on time and had to cut into a cast iron pipe and ran a new cast iron waste line for the new drain and new copper water lines.  They were efficient, explained what they needed to do and finished in one day.  They left the area spotless.  If you need any plumbing work, contact Erik at 718 783 4621

Serious Professionals You Can Trust - Believe It!  We discovered the owners on the Brooklyn episode of This Old House and trust me, their professionalism was worth every penny.  They took out a sub-par base heating system in a chilly sunroom and calculated exactly what we needed.  Result - a cozy room w/ its own thermostat, heated by 2 compact radiators, at lower monthly costs overall.  Since then, they are my go-to company for any serious projects.  Everyone on the team was knowledgeable and experienced - Mike not only replaced my main thermostat with a much more efficient one that has saved me a ton, but he also has a hilarious sense of humor :)  Be aware that they sometimes get busy, but ask for Moko & she will try to get you onto the schedule asap.  And they're really good to their customers (Erik delayed a meeting today to help me apply for a gas company rebate I didn't even know about). They are not the cheapest but you get what you pay for.  Very highly recommended!

2nd time using them - again He arrived exactly on time, had everything he needed in the truck and had the job complete and me able to go to work in under an hour.  Jerry was so polite it and did a thorough job explaining what he was going to do, cleaning up after and explaining the bill.  Could not be happier with he service.

The quality of plumbers they send varies greatly.
We had someone come to fix our toilet. The very next time we used it, it did not work. We had another appointment which we would have cancelled after that last poor work, but because they told us to wait until Monday, we kept it. He came and really didn't have much to tell us except he hopes it works now (I had plunged it repeatedly until it worked) and then do the other work of the original appointment. They then charged us the whole darned fee again. Yes, that is what it says in the fine print, but it is pretty sleazy considering they 1-did not fix it properly the first time, and 2-did not send someone over the course of 3 days of our having a non-functioning toilet.

I've been using Aladdin for the past 7 years. I own a brownstone in Ft. Greene, BKLYN. These guys are top notch. Always professional and they do it right. They're punctual and have a good understanding of historical brownstones/houses. They are my go to plumbers. Also, they are very accountable for their work. Very detailed oriented and are always helpful in making cost effective suggestions.

The plumber whom they sent took care of several tasks with a minimum of fuss and full display of competence.  He also cleaned the crud off the floor after snaking the drain. The customer service staff can be a bit short with you on the phone but hey, this is Brooklyn, it's nothing personal.

This review has nothing to do with the quality of the work, simply the lack of customer service offered by the company.

I had a conversation with the booking agent about the need to replace a shutoff valve.  No further questions surrounding the type of shutoff valve were asked by the booking agent.  That could have potentially solved the whole problem, as I knew exactly what type of valves were needed.

When the plumber showed up at my door, he took a look at two different types of shutoff valves in my apartment, and found he did not have the proper parts to replace them and told me he would have to run to the plumbing supply store.  At $170 an hour I had him verify that I would not be charged for his run to the plumbing supply store to which he promptly called up the main office.  

They insisted that i pay for the run to the supply store, so I told them they had two options:
1) To leave without billing me and I'll find someone else
2) To not charge me for the time it takes the plumber to go to the supply store

They chose option 1.  Now I just need to make sure I don't receive any bills in the mail where they would charge me for wasting 10 minutes of my time while they figured out that they were unprepared for the job.

Really good service on a catastrophic basement overflow situation.

I called during off hours and they got back to me promptly and showed up early in the window of time they gave me. The plumber was hard working, understanding and highly knowledgable. He snaked our drains and then went beyond to indicate a greater plumbing issue affecting the entire building. They are now my go-to in any plumbing situation.

They advertise as a Brooklyn plumber but with a Queens office? Nevertheless I called them on a Monday when the pilot light on my boiler would not stay lit. They said they could not come until Wednesday. That doesn't help with winter weather with elderly in the house.

I called to get a quote for installing radiant floor heating a week ago.  The receptionist told me they're too busy to take on renovation projects right now.  I thought that'd be it and went and called other plumbers.

Today I got a call back from the owner, and we discussed at length about my project (even though we both know they won't be contracted to do it).  He gave me sound advice and a wealth of valuable information.  Very classy!  I wish I could hire them for the job!!

I've used Alladin and Natco dozens of times over the past 20 years.  They are prompt and professional. In particular, Mike Bruno (Natco Mechanical) is as good as it gets.  About four years ago, the hot water heater stopped working.  Since it was fifteen years old, I figured time for a new one.  Mike came in, took a look, and swapped out the electronic ignition.  Charged me about $130 overall.  Kept the heater operating another four years.  Last Sunday was Easter and Passover, and the heater finally gave it up.  Called Mike around 6:00 am Monday, he asked for some details over the phone (was able to send photos of the heater spec), had some guys in the building by 9 am, removed the old heater, delivered the new one and had it installed and operating by 1:00.  Price was competitive for a post-holiday emergency.  Mike called back twice during the week to make sure I was happy with the job.  I told him I am very happy with the job.

They've come 5 times for us. The first 3 visits were to fix the same leaky pipe. It should have been a no-brainer but the plumber (the same guy all three times) kept doing non-fixes and only found the actual source of the leak on the third try. We complained to the management and they didn't charge us the per visit charge the third time.

We tried them again for a different job and the same plumber once again billed us for a non-fix. We had them come out the 5th time to correctly assess the problem. This time we got a different plumber and -- eureka! -- he found the broken drain pipe that the clueless guy missed. They were going to bill me for this visit (which only resulted in a diagnosis, not a fix) but waived that fee when I complained.

To their credit, management responded to my complaints. If I use them in the future, it will be only if I can make sure not to get the incompetent guy.

Did not have a positive experience with this company.  Called them to fix leaky bathroom sink faucets which they said sounded like an hour or so job (@ $170/hour) so I chose them over another recommended plumber who was $200/for the whole job. Boy was that a mistake! The plumber they sent ended up hammering through my dry wall to fix what he said was a drainage issue (I was astonished to find him in the bathroom doing this after thinking he was just fixing pipes!).  Appeared as though he created a larger situation than was needed and after almost 6 (!!) hours, he was finally done repairing the mess he had made and also fixing the thing I originally called about, which was just a matter of replacing a little piece in the faucet! Cost me over $1000!!!

I mistakenly tried them again for another job a few months later-- my shower faucets seemed to be leaking.  The same plumber returned and fixed this problem, but created a new problem where the shower would turn on when the middle faucet was set to bath only.  This was only happening with the hot faucet, which was the one he was working on.  I called Aladdin to explain the situation and they sent the SAME plumber back, who COMPLETELY DENIED responsibility in creating the new problem, and the company had the gall to charge me for the visit! The plumber's supervisor Mocha was arguing with me over the phone that sometimes new problems come from fixing things and it can't be helped and it wasn't her plumber's fault.  Obviously it was-- I had not turned on the shower/bath since he was there and when I did, there was an obvious new problem.  She tried to charge me for an hour of work!! I explained how she could not charge me an hourly rate for her plumber to fix a problem he created, and she bargained down to $50 and said that's what she would charge me plus the parts.  All this time, I'm standing next to the plumber on his phone to his boss and he's just saying, I have nothing to do with the cost side of things, I did not touch the inner tube that would create this problem, etc etc, completely denying any agency for the situation. Absolutely unprofessional and ridiculous. Will never use again.

Aladdin Plumbing provided great customer service, showed up precisely on time, and had my bathroom back in working order within two hours of when they arrived (time which included taking measurements, making a trip to the supply store, and completing installation). I didn't do enough research regarding prices ahead of time (didn't *have* time to!) to know how comparable theirs are to the competition's. However, I was pleased enough with the service to (barely) bat an eye when I handed over my beloved credit card. That's got to count for something!

I had a really great experience with Aladdin plumbing. After another plumber wanted to charge me nearly $500 for my leaky kitchen sink, I called Aladdin and they came to the rescue.  Their guy arrived on time the next morning, was very friendly, and fixed the problem quickly for less than half the price. The office manager was very friendly, too, and she contacted me to follow up.  I believe they have an office in Clinton Hill actually where they worked.

I needed to fix 2 leaks i had under the my kitchen sink. Aladdin plumbing did great work at a fair price. The plumber arrived on time, was courteous, and only took 30 minutes to do the job. Easy.

We had a frozen pipe that turned into 3 burst pipes, as well as some other related problems.  They came out right on time, and handled a 2-day job perfectly.  They explained their charges in advance, and showed all of the work they did as it was fixed.  Perhaps as a result of a prior review, they cleaned up everything really well.  All of the broken pipes were saved for insurance, and they discounted the bill by quite a bit due to what the owner perceived as an error by his employee.  (I didn't, and still don't, think it was an error - and didn't ask for the discount.  This was as perfect a plumbing experience as I could hope for.  They are my first call for any future plumbing repair.  A+.

I came home from vacation to a burst pipe and a flooded basement!  I called Aladdin, and they arrived the next morning to pump out the basement and fix the pipe.   They were the only plumbers who even responded to our call.  Over the next week, they continued to be there at every turn, and even responded to an emergency call on Friday night after I screwed up a radiator after they had just been here to fix everything.  The plumbers were great - patient, polite, and service-oriented.  This is my first Yelp review, and I'm happy to write it.  Thanks guys!

Called for emergency service, they haven't called back after 6 hours (I called them again after 2 hours).  Now I'm stuck looking for other plumbers.  I guess you shouldn't waste your time with Aladdin.

I used Aladdin Plumbing to install and new energy efficient boiler system in my Brownstone.  They spent a long time before they even had the job talking to me and figuring out how to install the system in a way that would work in my house.  They have always been very responsive, showed up when they said they would, and the new system works great.  This was a significant project, but their quote was very comparable to other companies with less experience with these systems.

I own a brownstone in Park Slope.  I decided to zone my heating system so that  the heat would only be on when and where it was needed.  I got several quotes and decided to go with Aladdin based on the recommendation of a contractor that I have used for other projects, even though Aladdin didn't quote the lowest price.  I was very satisfied with the work.  Aladdin's workers were very organized and efficient.  Moreover Aladdin proposed an innovative remote/radio controlled thermostat system that eliminated the need for separate in-wall thermostat wiring for the new heating zones.  As a result I did not have to pay to have someone wire the upgraded heating system. That saving put the total cost of the rezoning in the same ballpark as the other quotes that I got.

We needed to unhook our appliances before new ones got delivered.  Last night when we went to turn off the gas, we realized our totally ancient gas valve was all but welded shut by years of grime or rust or something.  Called up Aladdin the next morning, they got in before our appliance delivery was due, and installed a modern up-to-code gas valve and disconnected our stove and dishwasher for us in less than an hour.  It was not cheap at $180/hour plus parts, but same-day plumbing never is, right?!  The guy was extremely nice and helpful and arrived more or less when expected (I think it was maybe a half hour later than they said, but personally I think that's perfectly acceptable for the situation).  Would absolutely call them again.

I was dreading doing an oil-to-gas conversion for our house. We got quotes and project plans all over the map. Finally we settled on Aladdin Plumbing as the most straightforward about cost and ancillary requirements (chimney, city permit, oil tank removal). When the job began a parade of boiler, plumbing, and oil removal specialists trooped in and out, on time and in sync. Five days later everything was gleaming and in place for city inspection and National Grid meter swap. Great coordination and absolute attention to detail. Worth it!
