Total Plumbing

Decided to contact this company based on the positive reviews and info on their website to have some work done in my manufactured/mobile home. Called them on 2 separate days and left messages. As I'm sure they're busy, finally got a call back on the 3rd day only to find out that they do not do work on manufactured/mobile homes. I guess a separate license is required to do work on these types of homes. It would've been nice if this was mentioned somewhere on their website, which would've saved me some time and looked for another plumber sooner. I'm sure they are a good company, but this was my experience.

Ruben was extremely helpful. He was honest, thorough, and reasonable. You can't go wrong with this plumbing company.

If you're looking for a knowledgable, trustworthy plumber that offers 24/7 emergency service, this is your guy! Ruben really knows his stuff and did an excellent job outlining what needed to be done in a way where I understood it, which to be honest can be hard sometimes! Lol Ruben serviced our water heater at the drop of a dime when I called for emergency service one night, totally saving me from missing work the next day due to not being able to bathe myself. A few months later we noticed a leak and called Ruben at Total Plumbing right away. We understand that things happen and sometimes may need to be revisited, especially in the plumbing area. Ruben came right out the same day to diagnose where the leak was and if it was serious. Luckily it was a simple repair unrelated to the previous repair. Although he had come to service a much larger issue a few months prior, I was prepared to pay Ruben for his time. He picked up his gear, shook my hand and advised me to call if there was anything I needed once he left. When I asked him how much I should write the check for, he politely declined any payment and said it was no trouble at all to come out and help. This is quality service people! A humble, honest man who treats you like an actual person and works hard for you! I will recommend Ruben at Total Plumbing in the future to all of my family and friends! Thanks Ruben!

After bad experiences with various other plumbing companies including a national, larger one we called Ruben at Total Plumbing. As in most cases, when you need a plumber, you typically need them right away. Given that it's July 3rd and with the holiday baring upon us we thought for sure we were in for a wait. Not at all! Ruben not only provided same day service,  he was here within the hour. The best news was when we described to him our issues, he immediately knew what the problem was and presented us with a solution along with an estimated cost. We were quite impressed with his knowledge. He was extremely professional and courteous.  Everyone should have on call those folks who we may need services from on hand at all times. Those include an electrician, lawyer and absolutely a qualified professional plumber. Ruben at Total Plumbing is just that. As of this moment, we have by default fired our previous plumber. Seriously, save this man's number because when a pipe breaks or something goes wrong, water flow and damage has no prejudices and will not wait for slow service arrival or unqualified personnel. Wow! The toilet in my guest bathroom sprung a leak this morning and I decided to call a local plumber. I was able to reach Reuben at Total Plumbing while he was on the road and he came right over. He and his assistant were very professional and quickly fixed the problem in the guest bathroom, but while we were talking, I mentioned a couple other things. Right away, he took a look at my other toilet and realized there was also a problem with that one and fixed it , too. My water dispenser from my refrigerator was making a noise due to high water pressure, and sure enough, they also adjusted that!  They did all that work in about an hour for a reasonable charge. I couldn't have been more pleased!

Ruben is professional and very competent.  I had a gas leak and my hot water to the bathrooms was shut off.  Ruben got the problem solved and at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend Total Plumbing.

Pretty sure it's been more than four business days.  They haven't responded even to say they don't have time.  Glad business is good for them, at least.  I hope they treat their existing customers well because they don't seem to be taking any new ones in.

Super fast response time and very professional. Was able to quickly find my issues under my sink and fix a few leaks. Reasonably priced as well and very honest. Would 100% recommend and will use again if I have any other issues crop up.

I contacted Total Plumbing on Sunday night through Thumbtack.  Ruben responded right away with quote and a time.  He showed up at 9:30 the next morning and was done by 1 pm.  He had to add a valve and cut through a wall to add a drain to the pan.  These were not in the original quote but he just charged for the cost of the valve.  He did excellent work and cleaned everything up.  The A O Smith hotwater heater he installed is not what they sell at the big box stores, it is the ProLine Commercial Heater.  I have use 4 plumbers in the last few years, Total Plumbing is the one I will call back and use again.

Our home had two plumbing issues. Mr. Mendez diagnosed and fixed both in 30 minutes. His company is professional, friendly and reasonably priced. I finally found a great plumber in Rio Rancho!

Ruben has been our preferred plumber. He is very  professional  and has a great personality. He installed a new hot water heater and nuvo water softener and has done an excellent job. I would not use any other person than Ruben .

They came for a blocked vanity drain (three-year-old doing three-year-old stuff!) and a squeaky kitchen faucet.  Wore their masks, were friendly and respectful, in and out in no time.  I work in the office of another tradesman and I know how a good service call goes.  They were super professional and the price was fair.  Will definitely use them again.

Ruben was SUPPOSED to repipe my entire home. Living in Rio rancho the Home originally had polybutylene. Ruben decided it would be a good idea to leave 5' of polybutylene on the main line coming from the water meter with no reason other than I do it all the time. This resulted in a $300 water bill and a $250 emergency call bill from TLC. After going back and forth for nearly a month, Ruben finally came to repair his shoddy work while leaving trash and old pipe all over my front yard. Between the yelling at me because of his wrongdoing and lack of quality work, this guy is probably the most unprofessional tradesman I have come along in my career as a tradesmen. 10/10 DO NOT recommend Ruben

Are you looking for an honest reliable well priced plumber?  Well guess what!! You just found the best. The main line from my water meter to the house broke in two places. I have renters in this house and we had to turn off the water on them.  Ruben came out very quickly and had the issue fixed in just a few hours.  He also made sure to leave the area clean. He has it fixed for now but I have that awful pipe stuff put down in RR that has caused so many people problems. I have requested a quote from him to replace all that bad piping.  I know he has the best rates in the area and highly recommend his service.

I bought a house that was built my Mickey Mouse, everything needed to be fixed.  After 2 weeks without water in the kitchen and getting handymen to fix it, I called Total Plumbing.  They came the next morning, pulled out all the unnecessary lines and pipes, rerouted (the correct way), put in normal sized lines and told me about a vent that should be there according to code (and would keep my dishwasher from backing up).  Wasn't any time at all and they were done and I would have save a bunch of money if I went with him in the first place.  It have been over 3 weeks and I have no problems with it.  They are very affordable, came out quickly, were polite and told me what they were doing and I have water!  AND the dishwasher now works too!  What a great experience.  Need a great plumber?  Call Total Plumbing!!!
