Do not use this company!  Steve and his company incorrectly identified the source of our leak.  Our plumber spent hours looking for the leak in the identified area, which required tearing out a wall unnecessarily.  Steve then lied to try to blame his inability to find the leak, which was obvious after simply removing a face plate in our shower, on us.  He is unprofessional and rude.  We will be filing a lawsuit.

I found out that I had a small 6- inch in diameter spot on my carpeting in my rental home that I manage.  I contacted a plumber and they dug up on the side of the home but couldn't find where the leak was coming from.  I then contacted 3 leak detection companies which was a huge FRUSTRATION!  They are all in cahoots with the pricing charging $349 to come out to your home and find your leak.

The 3rd company that I called was this one and I spoke to the owner, Steve Gross.  He put the fear of God into me by telling me awful things about the other 2 companies and how his was superb compared to theirs and I would be wasting my money with them.  He was very arrogant, not at all friendly and I was afraid that he was right.

He came out the next day with a tech.  For starters, he gave me an invoice that he wanted me to sign BEFORE he ever started working for $581!!  I argued with him about it and he agreed to reduce to $373 IF it didn't take too long.  He had told me that they had all kinds of high tech equipment.  It took them 40 minutes using a pressure hose and no high tech equipment to tell me that my leak was from the upstairs bathroom and he showed me in the ceiling where it was.  AND, he was DEAD WRONG!!  $6000 later and a whole new plumbing system through my home had determined that the leak was a main line and not just a little sink drain or tub drain.  When I contacted him back to tell him I was wrong, he was awful, intimidating, no lack of concern.

PLEASE Do not use this company as it is just a big waste of money.  Mr. Gross was unfriendly, arrogant, intimidating, over-priced and wrong.  That should be enough to help you choose.

Quality work by professional people.  We had a main line water leak under our concrete driveway.  They located and marked the leak and worked with the plumber to pinpoint the location.  Good folks, easy to work with and I recommend them.

Called this company when we received our water bill and it was doubled so we knew we had a leak. They guaranteed they could narrow down where the leak was within basically a 2 foot radius. They marked where they said our leak was, we called a plumber had him dig up where they stated the leak was and nothing , no leak yet our meter is still running when all water sources have been shut off. Called back to Abq leak detectors and they wanted to charge another $500 to come back out to look for a leak they guaranteed to find the first time! Keeping in mind this was all within a 3 day time period, it's not like a lot of time had passed justifying another service fee!! And another $500!!!!

Please read your contract before you sign. They came and while drilling for a leak they caused another leak.  They said they found my leak but it was the leak they caused while drilling.  They wouldn't fix the mess they caused nor did they find the original leak.  The contract says they aren't responsible for the damages they caused so read before you hire them.

ABQ Leak Locators came to my home to detect a leak I knew was somewhere between the street and the main shut off valve in the house. They started by looking for the leak in my spare bedroom, emptying out half the room, moving furniture and pulling up the carpet. They wanted to cut part of the carpet out around the closet, ruining the carpet. After hesitation from me on that they said they could just drill the carpet with a hole so small I wouldn't even notice. Why not offer that up originally instead of ruining the carpet cutting it? They pumped gas through the water line and figured that the leak was outside. Why not start outside before pulling up all my carpet? They told me I would have to pay a professional carpet service to come put the carpet back down! I should have been told this before they pulled it up un necessarily!! Now on top of my $520 bill from ABQ Leak Locator I have to pay for a carpet service. When I asked the owner if they could do anything to help he just snapped at me and told me all other services (ex. electricians) will leave a mess as well and it is my responsibility. I have never had any other service tear up my house and then leave without being capable of putting it back together!!! Horrible and unprofessional, I would not recommend.

They found the leak that my regular plumber couldn't find. It was a flat charge for two guys working for almost 4 hours. To me it was well worth it for $389 plus tax.
