C4 Plumbing, Heating & Cooling

We have had such a headache with our pipes this spring and after 2 weeks of trying to fix it through cheaper means, we finally called in a professional. Mark promptly answered our message at 7:30 on Saturday night AND came out at 9 am on Easter Sunday! Again, after 2 weeks of this, we just wanted it done and done right, so we are so thankful Mark was willing to come out on a holiday when most other businesses were closed. Did I mention at this point, we had had to turn off water to our whole house? Didn't really want to have to live like that until Monday evening. Anyway, Mark was on time, friendly, and got new pipes and a new valve installed within an hour. Oh and his rates were fair for the work he did. HIGHLY recommend!

Mark is honest and reasonably priced.  I won't contact any other plumbers for services in the future, based on some of my past experiences described below.

My water heater stopped working after about 16 years.  I called around and emailed several places, and the lowest quote I got to replace it was about $1500 on Yelp and $1350 at Home Depot. Mark, the owner, responded with a MUCH lower price and said I could provide my own water heater if I wanted.  I'm always skeptical of the amount of markup, but after I picked up my own at Home Depot I realized that it couldn't have been marked up much and it really wasn't worth the trouble.

About 6 months before, I had an issue with the thermocoupler and I was quoted $1850 to replace the water heater and $400 to replace the thermocoupler by TJ Christensen, because it was an old unit and they didn't make the part anymore. I went with the repair, because it was such a significant price difference and we'd been without hot water for a couple days. If I had known Mark at the time, I would have just replaced the entire unit and saved myself a lot of time, money, and frustration.

Mark helped us replace a hot water heater and our thermal expansion tank which was leaking. He also helped us repair our yoke from the water meter to the mainline. Mark was able to schedule the initial consultation during a weekend time which was very helpful because of our leak. From the time we reached out until the time all repairs were finished was within 3 days!! We are very much appreciative of Mark being able to fit us in and his professionalism and great work all around. Thank you Mark!

We had an emergency situation where our water heater turned in to a hazard because something was wrong with how it was handling the gas intake.  Mark not only caught the problem, he was able to fix it for us and mitigate the danger for our family.  He did this all at a very reasonable price.  Thank you so much!!!

Mark arrived on a Saturday afternoon.  We thought we had a leak from our front yard spigot.  The water had been off in the house for several years and we did not think to turn the nozzle on the spigot.  Anyway, Mark rushed over and quickly diagnosed the problem.  Well there was no charge.  Since he was so honest about the spigot, I invited him in to address several of our other issues.  He completed some work for us and now we have running water.  His prices are very competitive and reasonable.  We have asked him to return to complete additional work for us in the future.

Did not hire. I contacted this company to get some work done, they gave me a quote and we set up a time 2 weeks out. I had something come up so we rescheduled for following week (Yesterday). I gave my address and number.

It was awhile so wanted to make sure he was still coming. Never got a reply. I called hours before the scheduled appointment and got voicemail which I did leave a message. Been 19 or so hours and still havent gotten a call, a text, and he never showed up.

I'll never hire. I'll just get it done by a competitor.

Do not use this company! We made an appointment and were told the person would be here from 9:00-11:00. We switched our work schedules around to make sure that we would be available to explain the plumbing problems we were having. We called the company at 11:15 because nobody had shown up. Nobody answered the phone so I left a voicemail. 11:30, called again, no answer. Thought maybe they were having trouble with their phone lines so I emailed and left a message on Facebook Messenger. STILL no reply. At noon, we finally got a call saying they would be here in 45 minutes. At 12:50, they finally showed up. The kid looked like he was 18 years old but we gave him the benefit of the doubt because everyone has to start somewhere. He was nice enough but he had no idea what he was doing. He kept calling someone else on the phone and asking questions. He was asking us questions which we didn't know the answer to (that's why we called a plumber in the first place)! He finally figures out the problem and leaves to buy parts. An hour and a half later, he returns with the parts. We are now close to 4 o'clock. Turns out, he couldn't find the right part, so he takes a hacksaw and saws off the end of the valve handle because it's too long! Then he proceeds to take our small trash can, dumps the trash out ON OUR FLOOR and uses it as a bucket to catch the water! Seriously!? Next, he starts to solder the pipes together and instead of putting some protection over the insulation he burns through the plastic and fills our house with acrid smoke. Around 5:30, he is finally done. We pay $700 for incredibly bad service just to get it over with. The next day, we realize that he didn't put the manhole cover back on our main water line correctly after our kids tripped over it. In the process of putting it back on, we realize that he has stripped the bolt. Terrible experience! We will never use this company again and would not recommend anyone using them either! Save yourself the trouble and call ANYONE else!

Uodate: per the response from the company below. We have NO problem paying for good service. The service received was subpar. The reason my husband gave permission to saw the handle off was because the worker said he couldn't find any other parts. What else were we supposed to do? This had been an ALL DAY fiasco. We have jobs and other responsibilities. Most companies are more prepared with parts, especially when they know ahead of time what the problem likely is. As far as previous damage, that does not give the go ahead to cause more damage, throw trash on the floor or leave a manhole cover open as a tripping hazard!

Had an outside pipe leak in a newly owned house. Mark talked me through how to shut it off over the phone.  He did not have to do that, so a thousand thanks to Mark.  We can now get landscaping company out to blow lines!

Caught a leak from our kitchen sink basket and Jeremiah came out the next morning. Fixed it all up and gave us the chance to swap out some of the problematic piping that was causing some unrelated odor issues.

Not the cheapest guys around but you get what you pay for, *especially* with plumbing. I know first hand that water has a way of making you ultimately pay for shoddy work so it was worth it to have a master plumber service something we use so often.

After the job was done I had asked about a purifying system and he was ready with literature and was very knowledgeable on just about everything I asked him. He was very personable and just an overall nice guy to talk to.

Highly recommended and will reach out again for any other plumbing work. A+

Working with C4 Plumbing was a great experience. Mark was very professional and to the time to get to the source of our plumbing issues. He put a plan together for how and what we would fix and prioritized what was urgent and what could wait until the next time. I am very impressed by his work and will be using him exclusively.

Buyer beware - C4 Plumbing is HIGHLY overpriced and I'd say they borderline on gouging customers.  They will do a decent job and they have professional workers who will do decent work, but they will charge 3-4 times the price of a normal plumber who will do work equally as well.  Shop around!

We had a Saturday evening plumbing emergency (sewer water backing up into our basement). After calling about 10 companies that didn't answer or didn't have availability, C4 came to the rescue. They had a technician available in 2 hrs, and he ended up arriving 90 min later. Mark got right to work on our main line, and had to get a longer snake due the distance to the tap. Even though it took him much longer than normal and he had to use two machines, he did not add any additional charges. He was also friendly and explained everything that he was doing. I would certainly recommend this company and will likely use them in the future.

I would certainly use C4 plumbing again and I highly recommend the company.  I could tell in my dealings with C4 that they were knowledgeable and professional. I had a relatively simple plumbing job. Rather than up charge or replace things that didn't need to be replaced, they replaced only the critical components to stop the leaking valve. I appreciated that fact. I will definitely give them a call in the future for any plumbing needs. I don't normally post reviews of contractors, so in order for me to do so I had to be impressed!

We noticed a leak around the garbage disposal unit, and of course this happened on a Sunday. Mark was able to come check it out same day.  He clearly explained what the issue was, and it was quickly fixed.  The fee was less than expected,  especially for a weekend call.  Satisfied customer

I try and refrain from award all stars because it can cause grade inflation quickly . I stop at just before the hugest rating. So understand what I mean, please.
C4 Plumbing merits close to full rating. In terms of Local, nearby, live person, who works there, phone service, respectful, sooner than estimated in all aspects, and finally, in repair or return-to-Service efficiency and economical.
My water system repair was in a tight space, hard to get to, and compounded by other difficulties, including never at the best time to fail.But Technician M, made a quick evaluation, offered a quote, and was finished within an hour.
I find it difficult to point to any areas where improvement could be suggested.
I can't offer a picture because I am in bed after a relaxing shower. I am going to sleep well.

I would be wary of using this company. Witness their driver in a wrapped van get over without a blinker and there was a car in the lane right next to him. And he kept going all the way. Luckily the lady saw him at the last second and swerved causing a big truck in the fast lane to have to swerve too otherwise it would have been hit by her. Super careless and due to the fact of the lack of blinker, it's apparent that the driver could care less about other people. I suspect that reflects in the quality of the work. This review is my opinion.

Freezing temperatures caused a pipe to burst in our laundry room.  Called a number of plumbers but C4 were able to get to us in the shortest time frame.  Plumber was punctual and gave us an estimate before work was started.  Excellent communication and they made sure we understood what was being done to fix the problem as well as mentioning things that could be done to avoid this issue in the future.  Work was fast and cleaned up very well.  I highly recommend their services

Update for my review just beware of plumbing companies that just throw out a quote after a quick assessment by walking through and doing nothing. My problem wasn't even plumbing related it was a leak dripping from my hot water heater into the floor missing the drain pipe causing the leak in the ceiling below. So if they were so professional they would have found out the real cause and not trying to get over with outrageous quotes. When you have someone to come to assess the issue whether they charge a trip charge or not you would expect them to be honest this is not the case with this company. So beware of the plumbers that are just looking to swindle you .

This was an after hours call for us and Mark showed up very promptly! He came right in and solved the issue we were experiencing. I would recommend this company to anyone.

My condo doesn't have a centralized water turnoff. Meaning that I have to schedule a turnoff with the city and need a plumber to come within a very specific 4 hour window of time.  

They didn't bother to let me know they couldn't make it. Didn't try to find someone else for me to use. And left me scrambling to find a new plumber myself that could come out with no notice while the water was still off.

I hired C4 plumbing to come check out my nonfunctional air conditioner in early April. Two younger guys came to diagnose and clean my AC on 4/7. The workers power washed my AC unit before telling me that was their plan, and now the AC won't switch on at all. They told me that I was low on freon but they didn't have any freon available and would get back to me. Despite my calling multiple times and getting a promise of service and put on the schedule on several different days, I still have a nonfunctional AC unit a full month later. I have a medical condition that makes me particularly sensitive to being exposed to heat for prolonged periods of time, so this entire month of fluctuating temps has resulted in making me quite ill.

I'm fully aware that air conditioners are closed units that are designed to not allow freon to escape, and that freon doesn't need to be replaced or topped up. Instead, my unit is probably leaking. I'm also aware that power washing an AC until will most likely damage the coil. I'm not thrilled that the AC techs either thought they could scam a woman or that they weren't knowledgeable enough to diagnose, clean, and fix the AC properly. I should have listened to the negative reviews before hiring. Zero stars.

Mark was able to come out on a Saturday and fix leaky ice maker box.  Price was fair, work was clean so what else would one want?  No complaints

Called C4 Plumbing at 7pm because of a backup in the basement, and was looking for someone who could come out quickly.
Mark arrived within an hour, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Prices were very reasonable, and more importantly, disclosed up front with no surprises at the end!

My kitchen sink lost pressure in the middle of cleaning up after dinner. I tried to Google a few things because hey, maybe it was simple, right? So, after several hours and a huge, watery mess, I called C4 Plumbing.

They amswered their phone right away and were able to come out within a couple of hours.

The technician was there exactly on time and got to work right away. He also spotted some leaking hoses that I didn't know were needing replacement. Everything he did cost less than the new faucet he installed!

He was also kind enough to look at a couple of other issues I was having and gave me estimates.

Fast, professional, courteous service. Very happy and will definitely  recommend!

5 stars all the way. C4 plumbing will be my go to for any issues I have going forward. I noticed a pinhole leak on one of the copper pipes in my basement. It was 7pm on a Sunday so I was bracing for the worst but C4 plumbing made the process as painless as possible. I was given an ETA of 40 minutes and Mark arrived right on time. Mark's professionalism and expertise immediately put me at ease. He quickly diagnosed the problem and began repairs immediately. He talked me through each step he performed and gave expert advice  if the issue should occur again in the future. The copper pipe now looks great and a potential disaster was avoided. Coincidentally, I purchased a garbage disposal unit and was planning to install it the next day. I asked Mark if he had the time to install and he did. I mean who does that? You just don't see this level of customer service anymore. He saved me half a day's work easy. All pricing was reasonable and I couldn't be happier with the results. I highly recommend using C4 plumbing.

I had a leaking bathroom sink. Mark, the owner of C4 Plumbing, came highly recommended by a friend. When I called, I spoke to Mark himself and we set and appointment for the following day. He was able to diagnose the problem, quote me to fix it, and go ahead and fix it while he was here. He was a pleasure to deal with, is polite, friendly and respectful of the home. I recommend Mark for you plumbing needs.

Mark with C4 plumbing came out to install a whole house water purifier for us. He was professional and did excellent work. Also a really nice guy! We have remodeled our whole house since we bought it five years ago and have used quite a few subs so we have had our share of good and bad, sadly more bad than good experiences. I would not hesitate to use Mark again, in fact he will be installing our hot water heater when needed. My husband was in the commercial construction industry for 40 years, he also knows good subcontractors when he sees them. If you have several to pick from, choose Mark with C4! You won't be sorry!
