Josh and Mike were great to work with! They came out and took care of our garbage disposal. They were very professional and made the process quick and easy!

I contacted American Rooter plumbing because we had our shower and bathroom sink faucet would not stop dripping, like non-stop dripping. They came by and did a full evaluation of the home and found we needed:
- A new shower and bathtub (which we planned on eventually doing anyway)
- new sink faucets
- emergency stops for all sinks in the house
- a new main line stop since it was rusted over
- complete repair of our outdoor water line stop
- and a few parts here and there.
We just moved in this house and knew that there would be a lot to fix so, begrudgingly we agreed. It came to a whopping total of almost $14,000 for everything. The first day they have to do stuff it goes fine, water heater is installed, stops put in goes well, then comes the day of the new tub, sink, etc. And I could not be more disappointed. First and most importantly, they just left the wall completely exposed! There are just parts of the drywall missing so the inside of the house is exposed (pictures included) so we can't even use our new shower until that is fixed unless we want to cause serious damage to our house, and when I contacted them they said that their job is done, so they aren't coming back. They never once told me that I would have to hire a drywall person to finish their job for them. They told me that once they were done it would be installed, ready to use and clean, it was anything but and they won't do anything about it except tell me to get an inspector and a dry wall person. Wish they told me that before going through with the project, not after. Speaking of clean, however, it was anything but. The tub was a mess, they left drywall bits all over the floor in the hall and bathroom and put all of our bathroom items in the hall and doorway so there was nowhere to walk and I had to clean up the debris. So it was anything but cleaner than we started. Finally, they just caused more issues for some reason? The new shower starting part is not flush against the wall so water is just going to get inside of it and cause it to rust (picture included), they took our towel rod down for some reason and didn't put it back up, they turned off our water heater and didn't turn it back on, and we didn't notice until the following day, so we didn't have hot water for 1 day and didn't know why, and when we did figure it out, it took over four hours for our hot water to fully come back, and finally, they left almost all the doors open and lights on. This is especially bad because I have 3 cats that do not need to be getting out or in places they aren't supposed to, they could also get sick from eating dry wall. Most importantly, I also have an 18 month old that could be doing the exact same! I am extremely dissatisfied, I have to pay even MORE money on top of the 14,000 and I just don't know what i'm paying for. Don't get American Rooter.

Had a great experience with American rooter! They clearly value customer service, got someone out quickly and even make sure to send an email with a bio of the particular plumber coming that day. It was a great touch! Fixed our toilet leaking issue, and we will certainly use them again (but hoping we won't need to!)

I've had American Rooter a few times with old plumbing and have never had a problem with them.  I've always had prompt, excellent service until the other night.  I set an appointment up for a show time between 1:00pm and 4:00 pm and Dan, the employee never showed until 6:30 when we were in the middle of eating dinner.  (I had given up on seeing them that day).  I gave the guy every opportunity to cancel and told him I would be glad to reschedule because its dark and getting late, but he said it didn't matter and that it was up to me, so I said we could go ahead and snake the kitchen drain.  The first thing he does when we get to the basement to look at the pipe was run his finger across it and tell me I would need a whole new pipe ran because it ran the risk of getting punched through since it was old.  Then he walked over to the main line and did the same thing but stated that it wouldn't need it at this time, but would eventually.  Well, my red flags went up and after he left I called another plumber (who I trust completely) and in fact does not clean drains but has been here and replaced water valves and other minor stuff.  He stated that yeah punching through a pipe can happen but there's no way of knowing until it happens if the pipe is bad, so to just replace it right off the bat would be expensive and would not really cure the problem of stuff catching at the elbow under the concrete floor.  I ended up calling Ricky Rooter and they pretty much substantiated what the plumber I trusted said, so I used them instead.  I'll never call American Rooter again since it seems like they are looking for more ways to make a fast buck.  The review with Dan messing with the water heater totally makes sense to me, but my water heater is brand new so I think he knew better.  I'm sitting here shaking my head because I find it absolutely abhorrent that a company would do this.  It also makes me wonder how many people, especially the elderly, fall for b.s. like this.

Well we are getting a estimate for new gas line and they charge $70 for getting a estimate and the estimate amount was more than twice from nearest competitor and that does sound reasonable .
This passed the basic test for trust wittiness I would not recommend

Do not use this company!

The company explained that the repair was harder than it was.  The workers completed the work in 20 minutes and did not do the work they said they would.  They essentially put putty on two pipes and charged me over $1,300.

I called other companies and they said that job should have cost more than $300 at the top end. I would not recommend this company at all.  Please be advised.

If you are looking for a plumbing company that recognizes resolving your plumbing emergency/issue and great customer service are equally important, American Rooter Plumbing is the company to choose!!

We recognized our plumbing emergency upon return from work on Friday evening of nights... the customer service on the phone call was unmeasurable! I was walked through my issue, and even helped with turning off water at the shut off until they were able to be out. I was worried that I would have to wait until Monday. But to my surprise, they have Saturday appointments and treat Saturday like a normal work day! (Major Bonus for me!!)

On Saturday, our tech David called to let us know he was on the was. Next, I received a text message with his picture and a little bit about him. This made my experience feel more personable as I knew who to expect to knock on my door. When David arrived, he took the time to get to know my family needs with regard to my homes plumbing. David put on shoe covers and we headed in so I could show him my problem area. David explained what he was going to do prior to starting work and kept us informed throughout the process. Once the work was completed, I could not even tell that a plumber had been in my home! David left the area he was working in cleaner than it was when he had arrived.

If I ever have a need for a plumber in the future, American Rooter Plumbing will be

They cleaned a secondary line for me.  90 days later I have a flood. I can only assume they didn't do a good job

The front desk acts a line of defense if a customer calls with an issue. The receptionist has no authority to resolve anything. Whenever you call the managers are always in a meeting. Feels like they hope a customer will move on and stop bothering them about getting an issue resolved. Literally had to demand for a manager to call me. When I did get a call back she purely admitted due to their costs they pass the buck to the customer as she said all businesses do. Charges double or 3x more than anyone after I got quotes in the area. Also went on a Tirade that felt like she was being treated like a victim for overcharging clients. Talked down to me in her explanation on how the world works like I was an idiot.

Called American Rooter in Omaha to replace a single valve. They were over-priced for the work and tried to up-sell other services with a total cost of over $4,000. Will not be calling this company again.

Called these guys for a small pinhole leak in my hot water heater copper pipe. Two guys came and all they were interested in doing is up selling  me $2400 or $1300 or $350 other so called plumbing issues but when you call them they tell you 69.99. Called another plumber and it was only 100.00, and
they fixed it with no other issues. This company
Will RIP YOU OFF IF YOU LET Them!!!!!!!!!!

BEWARE....!
This company charged me 615.00 to install a pilot assembly. Parts were covered on warranty so this was all labor. It took him 2.5 hours. This is more than a high price it's outrageous....!!!!

He was here aout 3 hours. 300.00 per hour is ridiculous....!!!

I won't call them again.
