Had leaky shower - Called Marti's first - I had someone come a give me a quote of ~ 300 (do not remember exactly). That is to just fix shower valve - Since I had older generic model, no guarantee he will find parts - If he does not, still  have to pay - it is money drown the drain (He did mention he will offset this if we get additional work get this fixed).

When he started work, he realized he cannot fix it easily - so instead gave me a quote for 1400 $.

Nice part was, he did not charge any money  as no real work started (he shut off water, just got started when he abandoned it - so not a lot of work yet) and he kept things clear.

After an hour, I had California plumbing come by - David  was very systematic, knowledgeable had all tools needed and was creative in getting things done. 115$ later, All done - I am impressed with him.

3-4 stars for Marti's (Rated 4 here) for keeping it professional, 5 stars for California for plumbing for the quick and nice work.

Omgoodness super duper knowledgeable quick and knows what he is doing! My parents had a clogged toilet drain and we did everything we can before deciding to call someone. It took about an hour because he had to get out this long snake looking thing, I think he actually called it a snake.

We called a few places before we ended up here, I'm super cheap when it comes to things like this, so I have to price compare of course! With that said, this guys prices are super competitive!

He got the job done, and now we have a functional toilet.

I can't believe what comes out of the toilet...and who puts tampons in the toilet?!? I swear I saw like a clump of 5-6 tampons came out! Now that I've grossed everyone out, have a great day!

Our dishwasher would not drain so I called David at California Plumbing because they had installed our garbage disposal.  He arrived an hour later and diagnosed a blocked air gap. He removed the ancient air gap and attached pipes and installed new parts.  Now everything works and it looks much nicer.  David's charge was reasonable and he was efficient and friendly.  I would recommend his services to anyone who needs a plumber in the South Bay.

I rarely give 5 stars but California plumbing is deserving of every star there is. I give 6 if I could.  It was memorial day weekend, just purchased a brand new washer that was delivered that morning. It did not work as the drain was clogged or slowed. The appliance people of course cannot do anything with it.  After numerous panic phone calls to numerous plumbers, some big names, and some even advertised 24 hr, emergency service, non were available to come to our aid. Except David. He answered the call, told us he was not working that weekend but still willing to jump on his van to come over and help after I explain the situation to him. He was there within 20 mins, diagnosed the problem correctly and had it unclogged within the hour. Did not charge me weekend rate or other emergency rate that others do.   If you have a plumbing problem he is your man. A friendly, honest and hard working expert.

Last night, 4-24-18, my Dad comes to me and says we have a problem, this was around 5:30 PM.  He stated that there was black stuff (looked like black sludge/mud), etc. coming up into the tub that is on his and Mom's side of the house, their bathroom. Told him there is also human waste in the tub.  Folks side of the bathroom toilet was also running slow and had been about a week or less prior to. Dad flushes the toilet and I noticed that the tub drain was gurgling, more coming up. Told him not to flush ANY toilets. There is a toilet on my side of the house too, but no issues with flushing.  Told my Dad we have a sewer line backup.

I went onto Yelp to find nearby and highly rated plumbers. Got about 4 numbers and names for my Dad and I to start with. Before I gave him the numbers, he quickly called my sister who has utilized David's services in the past.  My Dad remembered that she utilized someone she: rates highly in person and his work.  My sister gave my Dad California Plumbing's (David's) number.

So, the other companies claiming to be a 24 hour service never called back, except one that wouldn't be out until really late, at least 9 PM, we cancelled that.  David showed up on short notice last night to our house and took care of everything. It was just him last night.  He corrected some issues with two caps that were too tight and location of one that had been down vs. upright. He thoroughly flushed everything out, cleaned out the tub (not a fun job folks), tested, etc.

I highly recommend David, California Plumbing, to anyone. He is top notch, does a great and thorough job, very nice man and respectful.  His prices are beyond fair too!

Way overpriced for a hot water heater.  They charge extra for credit card use.  Guy that did the install was fast,  not his fault about the price.  They took advantage of a women in need and I am a landlord and know what they cost!

David fixed both of our toilets replacing the old valves with the upgraded adjustable ones. Finally they stopped leaking! He also did a superb job with the kitchen sink grout, and I'm so happy with the way it looks - not only cleaner now but he applied minimum amount of sealer so it looks nicer and cleaner. Wish I had a before picture....
I would recommend him to anyone. The price was very reasonable.

If you could dream up your dream plumber - it would be David! He's solid, friendly, quick and reasonable. I wouldn't hesitate to call him. He gets the job done and gave us a great idea to prevent the problem.

I spent two and half hours tried to unclog the sewer pipe of my washing machine, no luck to get it through with the sewer snake and liquid plumbr.  Got the number from another and called David Lee asking him for help.  Within 20-minutes, he showed up in my doorstep, I told him the problem.  Within 15-min, he unclogged the sewer pipe with his tool.  Awesome job.  Save me lots of time!!

Mr. Lee is such a good-hearted guy. He has come to our house to fix leaks before during holidays, and late in the evening. Price is reasonable too. He came by after work last night to patch up our broken faucet hose until our new parts arrive. What dedication. Didn't charge us for visiting us twice yesterday either. He won't charge anything unless he gets the job done right. Fast and professional service.

Similar experience to MK's (Palo Alto) review. Called David around 6pm and told him I had a slow drain in the garage and it needed to be snaked from the roof access. He said he'd come out that evening, but I told him it wasn't necessary and it might be better to work in the daytime (it was already dark and cold outside). He insisted, so I agreed. He was prompt, had a positive attitude and efficient.
After he finished, he told me that he was going to be busy the next day, so that's why he wanted to come out that night. He even got a call from his wife asking why he wasn't home for dinner. He chose to take my last minute call working outside in the dark and cold (the job took about 30 minutes) over a hot meal. Now, that's a hard-working guy!
