Established in 1976.
Our business started as many entrepreneur-ships do, 1 man with a vision to help his neighbors and friends with their homes mechanical equipment and appliances. Over the last 44 plus years we have grown with the community and currently employ 22 full time staff. We still hold to the core values of people helping people, charge a fair price that allows for growth and the ability to take care of our customers in the future.

ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER


I was lucky enough to grow up in the business and have the benefit of being son of the Boss.  In my world that meant taking time out of highschool to be trained on the latest HVAC equipment, business training, and being the youngest person to pass a nationally recognized contractor certification for Air Conditioning Contractors Association.  I spent my younger days in our installation division and moved into service, then to field service manager and finally General Manager at the age of 32.  I currently still hold General Manager position but have added owner to that title as well.

The Chesterfield Service technician opened the drain too quickly when draining an old hot water heater and flooded the first floor unit below mine.  The flood resulted in $1,400 of damage, of which I had to pay the $1,000 deductible.  Chesterfield Service refuses to accept any responsibility, even though 2 other plumbing companies have said not testing the drain was irresponsible.  They have not responded to my BBB complaint.  I think they are not accepting responsibility for a simple mistake and leaving me with the $1,000 bill.  I am very disappointed.

The team at Chesterfield Service are great!  From the phone call to set up the service call, to accommodating my schedule, to the service technicians that come to my home and my business, they are professional and courteous beyond expectations.  They always try to meet my needs and special requests, as far as time frame and giving me a call when they are on their way.  The technicians are friendly and careful to clean up and take care of my home and business.  I also like it that they make suggestions and help me think through possible solutions to issues, or even to improve our overall efficiency of our units.  Their pricing is very competitive, as well, so when you look at the superior service that you get, there's just no better choice for your HVAC needs for home or business.  I've used them for almost a decade now, and I've never been disappointed with them.  Thanks, guys!

Appliance repair was ok. Expensive, but ok. Plumbing service; however, should be avoided until they can respond in a timely fashion. Company was willing to refund their service call fee when they couldn't get out to fix my problem timely, so they get a hat tip for that. They need to get a backup plumber to call when needed so they don't fail their new clients.

Today was my lucky day!  Instead of replacing my microwave/ oven at great expense$$$, Dave installed a new fuse and all is working beautifully.  He arrived on time, was familiar with this Whirlpool model, quick to diagnose, and very neat with his workspace.  He is a very pleasant, knowledgeable worker who has my 5 star approval!  Many thanks, Dave!

Plumbing and Drain review:
The plumbers and drain guys refuse to work=discrimination... call the attorney generals office if someone implicitly or explicitly refuses to do work at your house=discrimination... they come out for the service fee only ($475) and make you listen to them talk for hours and miss work... (my back went out waiting for him to leave my house) the guy was so horrible he recommended that I do not get my dishwasher repaired by them either... if you don't like listening to a million excuses and paying for nothing--call Roto Rooters... actually he quoted me $30,000 to fix a branch in my line & I fixed it for $30 using root killer... my faucet leaks now that he left & it's a faucet he didn't even need to touch--they are nightmares... literal nightmares (a few months later, writing this at 4:00 am because I'm tired of literally having nightmares about the guy--I should've punched him in the face)

HVAC Review:
They did everything right! The price was fair. The service man was very likeable... a service call is $99 during regular business hours and $250 for emergencies... our AC broke Fri Eve so, we picked up a window unit at Home Depot for $159 & made it through the weekend without our 11 or so computers exploding during 98 degree weather... I called on Monday afternoon and was able to get an appointment on Tuesday afternoon... (it's a four hour window). If your AC stops blowing cold--shut it off! Remember to spray the AC unit down because he said it even makes your electric bill go down to have clean coils... we live in the frugal part of the county & my family is Nigerian & they treated us with the utmost respect! I heard about them on Facebook... they also do plumbing and they repair ice makers and appliances like dishwashers etc... we are going to use them again!

Very expensive, found some extra things that needed to be added to the original quote $370 faucet install quote.  $260 more for washers and two valves...

They answer quickly, send out techs fast, and are honest. I worked with Angelo and he was fantastic at giving options, being fast about it, and giving a great price. Guys like that will have me coming back for all of my hearing and cooling issues.

I cannot say enough how wonderful this interaction was.  We just bought a house and the furnace was making a low-level humming sound constantly.  We are both very sound-sensitive, and it was making it so we couldn't use our den in the basement because we could hear this hum through the wall.  The tech who came out was amazing.  Some people would have said it was just normal transformer noise, but he figured out that the transformer was actually vibrating against the unit, and figured out a way to fix it.  I am so grateful I cannot begin to describe it.

Very friendly and professional service techs. I called to have my water heater repaired and they had an appointment for me the next day. They even arrived earlier than expected, which was great. The job was completed quickly and correctly. I absolutely recommend Chesterfield Service.

Chesterfield Service came to our house to repair a dishwasher. The technician noted a sprayer nozzle missing. He said he would have to fix the sprayer nozzle before he Diagnosed the cleaning issue we were having. He said he had to order a part. Three weeks later no part  has been ordered. They charged us $112 he came in and took one look, said he couldn't diagnose the problem without out the part which cost $195.  3 weeks later no part had been ordered. I looked on the kenmore website and the part was $93. They said it they would rush it and could get it here next Friday, nearly a month after we first called them. So they were going to charge double for the part and another service charge to put it in and THEN diagnose the original problem. Seems they are running a service that seeks to exploit their customers and overcharge them. Very disappointing.

Timely, professional and thorough. Setting up the appointment was easy. Jarod showed up on time and identified the issue. We agreed on a time for the follow-up and he arrived on time with all of the spare parts. Repair was completed quickly. Will use again for my personnel home and rental property.

based on the way the staff of Chester field service are reckless on the road, I would highly recommend staying away. Watching a companies service vehicle try to go 15 miles over the speed limit to cut vehicles off means they also probably cut corners on their jobs. If they are not safe while driving, why would you spend money to have them not be safe as well?

Shaun M. has been my heating and cooling expert for many years now.  He is knowledgable, prepared and professional.  I have a complicated heating and cooling system and he is an expert.  He advises me of areas that need immediate attention as well as things that could be a concern later.  He discusses the options and their cost so that I can make an educated decision.  At times I can even plan ahead. Like when I knew that I was going to need to replace a concrete pad that the A/C tower sits on. He keeps me updated and informed, and he's always on top of current standards, options, and technology.

I've used Chesterfield Service for my maintenance needs for about 2 years now.  The folks who installed my new system gave me a fair deal and did a good job on the install, but they didn't follow up on the ongoing service.  I know some people like to save money these days by avoiding service contracts, but it's crazy to spend thousands of dollars on HVAC equipment and not have it regularly maintained.  It's like buying a car and not changing the oil.

Their office is very organized, and whenever you call or email them, they respond promptly and cheerfully.   Their service folks almost always arrive on time, and on the rare occasions when there is a hitch, the office calls you with updates.  They are always clean and polite, and put on disposable booties to avoid soiling your carpet or floors.  They are always up front about explaining the covered work they did, and do not put any pressure on you when it comes to recommended work that is not covered by the service contract.  I always feel comfortable when they are in my home.

I recently needed a warranty repair to my system, and they handled it in a completely professional manner.  All I had to do was sign on the  dotted line.  I didn't have to pay a dime.

They also install my air filters for me when they visit, for a reasonable fee.  I have a busy life, and I always forget to buy and install new ones.

I always feel like I'm getting a fair deal, and when I have referred them to family members, I always get good feedback.

I chose Chesterfield Service, as my Certified Bosch Appliance Repair Co. to come to my home to fix a faulty ice maker. Dave had to replace my ice maker, and then when the ice didn't make within a reasonable time, he had to come out again only to find out that the fan was not working.  Dave was efficient, and always called ahead to let me know his time of arrival. The girls I spoke to in the office were aware of everything going on and communication was spot on.  He had to come out twice but the staff was great to communicate with and Dave was fair with pricing  for the fan.  I am going to be using Chesterfield Service for my HVAC.

Disappointing.  We needed a dripping facet replaced so called Chesterfield Service.  It took a week and a half for them to come.  They charge $102 just to come over and quote.  Then every other cost is in addition.  They quoted me $325 to change out the faucet.  Umm no thanks!  Got a handyman over here to do it for $50.  Out $102 for a quote and they did not fix anything.

They come out quick but that's about it. Sent a horrible repair man for my commercial unit. Either he didn't know what to do or was lazy or both. I tried lto call the company to send someone else out but they would not. So I paid them and had to calll another company the next day. Save your time and money call someone else first.

Jarod N has helped me several times with my temperamental Thermador oven.  This time he fixed the microwave by identifying a loose switch saving me a potential costly replacement of parts or the whole unit.  While he was here I pointed out that the oven display was dim and low and behold he had the part on his truck giving me a two for one fix!  Jarod quickly fixed both problems... in and out in less than an hour!  I wish all service calls were this painless!  Thanks Jarod for the top notch service!

Like everyone in town, the recent torrential rains caused problems at our home. The rains shorted out a landscaping light which cause a section of our home to go dark. We called for an electrician and the dispatcher rearranged the schedule and sent three of their guys out within a couple of hours who quickly diagnosed the issue and were able to restore power.

The response time was amazing, the guys took care not to track dirt into our home. The charge was more than fair, particularly given how quickly the company responded and the text notices, informing me of their arrival time.

This is my new go-to firm for everything HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. No need to call anyone else.

I had a problem with the Stone Age oven in my house. The oven door literally came apart. I called the office, got an appointment, and they called the day before to confirm. Dave called before he came, was right on time, and got to work. I was fairly freaked that this was a huge problem, but clearly he'd seen this kind of thing before and he got everything put back together and good as new in about 15 minutes. The price was very fair, he didn't try to sell me something I didn't want or need like other service companies have, and he was a pleasure to talk with. It's nice to find an honest company with experienced, no-nonsense technicians who can fix things on the first visit. How I didn't find this company before today is a mystery to me, they are truly outstanding.

Jarod N is amazing.  He came to look at our Viking oven that seems to be a different temperature than the dial is set at - he gave me all sorts of useful information, like the oven takes at least 25 minutes to heat up and the pre-heat light cycles on and off but doesn't mean it's at the right temperature (news to me!)  He was thorough and figured out the issue with the oven quickly.  He was super nice and answered all my silly questions without making me feel dumb.  We will certainly be enlisting his services for any repair needs that arise in the future.  Highly recommended.

After several years of flooding in my basement and seeking assistance from multiple plumbers across the area, I finally had someone come out who took my issue seriously.  Mike was my Drain Tech and he was the absolute best.  Not only did he take the time to really listen to my concerns, he was empathetic as he explained to me what needed to be done.  Never in my life have I been so happy about having repair work done in my home.  I am really looking forward to gaining some peace of mind.  Others literally just came out and did what they were asked. If I suggested something or asked what else I could do, I was always greeted with a stale response.  

I'm a big believer that great service comes from a persons sincerity and how they treat others.
Chesterfield Service seriously passed the vibe check.  I will definitely be in touch for other things.
