EXCELLENCE, that's why!

Efficient & he got down 2 the root of the problem, which had Mom's without water last night, because that's when the incident occurred.

I advised Walter of this & I believe he wanted to address this matter as expeditiously as possible & he not only handled that horrific leak, EVERYTHING else I asked him to look at, he obliged, from adjusting the water heater, changing other hoses to checking the water pressure for the residence, HE DID IT & he did it with zest.

Walter is passionate about his profession. There may be other plumbers throughout, but all I contacted, well they didn't show, didn't call me back or wanted an astronomical payment.

Do yourself a favor,,,,,when the water comes up, SHUT it DOWN with VILLACORTA'S PLUMBING!

Walter came to inspect (what I believed to be) a plumbing issue under my house in the crawl space, but he correctly diagnosed it as a non-plumbing issue; rather, it was a foundation/gutter issue. Not only that, but he thoroughly explained what he observed the actual issue to be and steered me in the right direction to further my research. Other plumbers would've charged a hundred dollar (or two) just to give me a report like that. Walter was detailed/meticulous yet straight-to-the-point even in such simple inspection; he told me what the problem was from looking at it, yet he still went under the crawl space as well as inspecting the surrounding landscape/building material just to make sure. I was glad, because contractors who diagnose/inspect carefully end up doing the best work--they won't overlook the details.

Also, Walter's a great, honest guy. If you're reading this, I'm sure you've dealt with your fair share of poor/shady contractors--you can usually get a sense of them within a minute or two of talking with them. I just don't see that in Walter. I'm glad I've already found a plumber in LA whom I can trust as a young home owner and investor. Thanks Villacortas Plumbing!

We've had work done by this company three times now. Unfortunately, we have trees that are ripping into our main sewer line and causing back-ups. Each time I've called, it's been an emergency and they are happy to come out and not price-gouge you for working on a Sunday. They arrive on time and leave the place spotless. They are also really nice and easy to speak to. That being said I can only speak for the rooter service. We will need to replace our sewer line soon and if we use this company I'll update my Yelp review with the results...

My experience with Walter was down-to-earth while being professional.

I'm fairly handy, however when it comes to plumbing [and electrical] - I call in the pros. My specific issue was a kitchen sink issue, clogged with some leaking pipes. Walter fixed the issue right away, and also made a made an important recommendation on modifying the water pressure - which could potentially creating some future expensive plumbing issues.

I had a sense he wasn't going to charge me for the appointment, since the fix was quickly resolved, however I paid him for the requested issue, and I'll most likely hire him to install a water pressure regulator for my home.

I hired Walter and his crew when I finally got around to dealing with the water pressure issue I was having at my house. I had a leaking hose bib and pipes that would wake us up every time the sprinklers came on (twice a week, because drought).

He quickly assessed that my house was in dire need of a water pressure regulator as the pressure to my plumbing was around 110 PSI. Walter was efficient and professional in easily tackling the situation at my house and I will no doubt continue working with him for all of my plumbing needs moving forward.

I don't want to write a good review because that might make them busier than they already are.

I had an external sewer line overflow and even in just explaining what happened, Villacortas knew what was happening. He didn't have any openings until Monday but since it was an emergency he actually referred me to another company that he knew would be affordable. Which was cool that he was like, you need help. I can't help but I'll send you somewhere you can get some!

Anyway, that company was too busy, so I called a third. Who was nice enough to come out and then say we needed over $1000 worth of work. It seemed high but I don't know enough about plumbing to say otherwise. Then I thought to call Villacortas back just to ask if the quote was on of if my instinct was correct.

He asked a few questions to clarify the scope and agreed that the cost was high and gave me an idea of where it should land.

I've never been so grateful I had to come here and write a review. It's so easy to take advantage of people who aren't in your field. And even though Villacortas couldn't fix my plumbing, he definitely helped me out. He's now saved as plumber in my phone.

Excellent Service! I just purchased a house and found out that I had plumbing issues. When I ran the shower upstairs in my duplex it would run down to the unit below . Walter came, fixed that then I had him look around the house to see if anything else was wrong . He said that the water heaters were old and rusted and the encasement for them was too small to hold the water heaters along with a leaky roof. He gave me a great price for that
Him and his crew worked late into the night came back the next day and it was perfect. The shed they built looked like it was part of the house they painted it, it was so beautiful it looks like I have another addition to the backyard. Thank you Walter!

What can I say... most interactions with plumbers are less than enjoyable... maybe it's the issue you need them for (clogged toilets, sinks, etc.) or maybe because that know they got ya right where they want ya... you need their help and they exploit it!

Well, not this guy!! WALTER!!! This is a master plumber who shows up when he says he will. Is honest, hard working, and dare I say talented!

Fixed my issue, informed me of options to prevent it in the future, and was a nice fellow to chat with.

Walter seemed great at first because he could come out next day for a plumbing inspection. He told us that the entire house needed to be repiped, but we never got the written report that was promised, even after following up with him 3 times. Charged us $400 for that.

Had few quotes before and they all sound that my issue is just another bussiness opporrunity to make money.... but when I called Walter and told him our toilet issues, he showed interest to help to fix the issue. Walter responded to my call for what I thought was a leaky sewer pipe under my house because of a bad smell. He came promptly and quickly figured out that a dead animal of some sort was causing the smell. I got a good trustworthy vibe from him, so since he was there, I remembered that I had a water heater I wanted to replace behind my studio so I showed it to him and he gave me a reasonable price and in a few days came and installed the heater. He did a great job, was very efficient and friendly. I'd definitely use him again for my plumbing needs.

We had Villacortas plumbing come out to give us a quote on installing an Aquasana water filtration system. The plumber told us we needed to reconfigure the piping under our sink, which would take 8 hours and cost us $450. This seemed outrageous, so we decided to try and figure it out ourselves. We watched a couple YouTube videos and were able to install the system in under 2 hours for free.

Villacortas specifically asked for us to write him a Yelp review, so this is it. They are either dishonest or terrible plumbers. Either way, get another quote from someone else because Villacortas is outrageously pricing their services.

Another L.A. gem to keep in the Rolodex! (You know, that rolling thing that kept contacts on paper. LOL)

So I had a water heater with smoke coming out the exhaust pipe that vents to the top of the house. It scared the bejesus out me because I JUST completed a long and arduous process with the insurance company over a flood. Last thing I need at the house was a FIRE! OMG. So I called my ace Josh over at 1 Oak Remodeling and he sent someone over to turn off the water heater on HOLY SATURDAY! (Love that dude) And then I followed up with a plumber later. That plumber saw the video I sent him of the smoke coming out the chimney and told me I needed a new water heater. Minimum $1800. Shit. But when I wanted to make arrangements for him to come out, he told me he didn't work in my area. No problem.

Enter Walter. Found him on yelp and called him because he was close to my house. When he came out and saw the problem, he said you don't need a new water heater! That's ridiculous! You need a widget and a thing-a-ma-bob and I have to reconstruct your vent. Probably a quarter of that amount!

Dude literally saved me over a $1000 by replacing the doohickey and that thing right there.

So I was like hmmmm, while I've got your here...

Then I had him fix the toilet...
and my garden spigot...
And the leak at the toilet...
And...
And...
And...

Never complained, did a great job, was even friendly to my dog, AND did some of those things for free. AND YOU KNOW HOW I LIKE FREE!!!

Anyhoo, give Walter a call. You'll be glad you did!

Briefly, here is the problem we had...Every time I would flush my toilet, a cascade of water would flow from where the pipe was connected to the flange underneath the house. Without getting into how we discovered there was a leak, trust me, it sounds horrible and it was happening all underneath the house and there was no sign of it inside the house. And if this leak had gone unattended for too long we would have had a much larger problem to fix. Basically what caused this leak was an improper installation of the wax ring.

So Walter, from Villacortas Plumbing came out, identified the problem and did the repairs. He was professional, thorough and charged me a super fair price for the work. He removed the toilet, replaced the wax ring and sealed the area where the flange connected to the subfloor. He then replaced the toilet, caulked around where the base of the toilet met the tile floor. Then he went back under the house, and had me flush the toilet several times while he recorded a video of the problem area to ensure the leak was repaired.

I have since gone underneath the house to check that the leak has not returned. And as I would expect, his work is flawless and there is no leak. After all is said and done, Walter did a great job and I highly recommend him.

Fantastic guys, extremely fast but also at the best price.
I called 5 different plumbers and nobody came even close to their price.
My wife told me about Villacorta because they did a few works for the clinic that she works at and Walter came over to give me a free estimate.

A 2 day 5 guys job. By the end of the first day my back yard was a mess, by the end of day 2 I can't even tell they were here. They put all the grass back together as if nothing ever happened!

I'm calling for my job and the guy that answered refused to give me a quote since my number came out private. I explained to him that I'm calling from my job and I have no control of what shows up on their caller ID, I offered to give him my work number so he could call me right back and he refused. I had a missing piece of piping under my kitchen sink, and also my toilet had a small leak. I contacted this company and was very pleased w/ his response time. I set an appointment for the following day, and the plumber arrived 15 - 20 mins before the appointment. We called Walter for an emergency that was happening out doors on our french drain. With all the rains we have been getting a flooding issue started to happen & was slowly creeping into our garage.

I have used this company for over a year. Walter Villacortas is always very thorough with every project he's done for us - from informing us about what equipment or products to purchase... to accomplishing the work in a timely fashion. Very reliable and professional. They replaced the faucets/fixtures for my utility sink, bathroom sink, and outdoor hot and water taps in one day. I had been putting off on fixing the leaks for a couple of years worried about how much it would cost. They offered good prices and replaced the old equipment with more sturdy ones. They really know what they are doing and also answered all my questions with patience. I also liked that I booked my appointment a week out and they didn't forget, and sent reminders they day before the inspection and the actual installation.

Hate to be boring, but here's another five star review for Walter at Villacortes Plumbing. Plumber #1 tells me that I need a new circulating pump (immediately!) and two other parts and gives me an estimate of $950. I smelled a con and called Walter. Guess what? It didn't replacing - the homeowner had just turned off the water to the house and the circulator was screeching as a result. He helpfully pointed out a corroding pipe and misplaced water purifying system - saved me $950!!
Walter is honest, super-knowledgeable, prompt, and professional. He's officially my go-to plumber.

Walter Villacorta is a gentleman and a scholar. With any skilled trade, there is an art and the science to it. Walter is a master of the science, but does not skip the art. I had him install a pressure regulating valve and he made sure to do the job RIGHT. Not only technically correct, but those small steps like debriding a fresh cut pipe and big steps like thinking of how we may use the system in the future and taking pains to install not just what I asked for, but what I may need in the future as well. Villacortas was on time and estimate was written up. When I scheduled to have the work done he was also on time and stuck to the estimate. No extra for this or that. I am very satisfied and would definitely use Villacortas Plumbing for all of my future plumbing needs.

I called Villacortas plumbing to give me a quote on installing a new water heater and moving it to a different location. Walter showed up and he was the most knowledgeable plumber I've talked to. He gave me a pretty competitive price so I decided to give him a try. The final product was fantastic. The work was super clean and detailed. I was so impressed I asked him to come back to help me with my bathroom remodel. All new copper and drain piping installed. Walter is a professional. You can rest assured that the job will be completed up to code and in a timely fashion.

Walter was precise, thorough and patient as he completed an extensive job connecting the waterline for my new refrigerator's ice maker. He went above and beyond in fitting the refrigerator into a tight opening. A big job that included panel and flooring. I couldn't be more pleased.

We had a plumbing emergency and were looking for someone to help us right away. Walter was quickly responsive and was able to come out within 24 hours to not only give us a quote but also finish the project. He was fast, professional, knowledgeable and cleaned up the whole area when he was done. He was also very honest and didn't try to oversell us on anything. We had another company give us a quote the day before and they were trying to charge us literally 10x the price that Walter quoted. Plus the final project looked and worked fantastic.

I fully recommend Walter and will be hiring him again.

If you're looking for a professional plumber that shows up on time, is very knowledgeable, communicates very well and charges fair prices, then call Walter! I called Walter in need of a bathroom faucet replacement and even though I couldn't be present during the work, he communicated very well and sent pictures of everything. He was also just really nice and easy to communicate with, which I really appreciated. I'm saving his number because he'll be the first person I call for any future plumbing jobs!

Walter was able to come help on very short notice and was a total pro. Walter Villacorta is an excellent plumber: he does everything to code, is licensed, and is thorough and meticulous. I got a call late on a Friday afternoon from a tenant that she had no hot water. After searching up plumbers on Yelp and making a couple of calls to plumbers that couldn't come out for a few days, I found Walter Villacortas Plumbing. He was on another job but was willing to drive to us at 7pm on a Friday night! He diagnosed the problem (earth quake shut-off valves installed with flimsy - and therefore shakable - hardware, which kept triggering the shut-off valve. He re-set the valve, relit the water heater and made sure the pilots were on on the tenant's range. This was the 3rd time the valve had been triggered in about 5 weeks. Other plumbers (and the gas company) had re-set the valve and relit the water heater, but it was Walter who diagnosed the real problem and came back with a permanent solution which was to install beefier straps and more clamps to keep the valve from shaking. We've had no problems since. While Walter has been on this newly purchased property, he has been really helpful in showing me a few other problem areas - which are obvious when he points them out. I feel that he has my best interest in mind and is helping me to ensure our property will be safe for everyone who lives there. Walter returns my phone calls promptly and is excellent at describing the problem and the solution. His prices are good and I am 100% pleased with his work. Can't recommend him highly enough.

Highly recommend!
My husband and I are new home owners and new to wonderful home owner issues such as kitchen sink leaks! What initially was a potentially Intimidating issue, especially since we have not dealt with anything like this before, we were so fortunate to have Walter on our side!

We had an issue with connecting our water filter to our new refrigerator, we called and secured an appt. Walter arrived to the appt at the time scheduled. He connected our water filter and also helped me fix a connection for my dishwasher on a different date. He is very reliable, fair cost and very professional.
