Best Plumbing Services in Nebraska

Appears to be a new business as of 2013. Same day service on a backed up basement floor drain leaking sewage into our basement. We called 8 other plumbers and all were booked. The Drain Whisperer himself is the father in the operation. His younger son and assistant came out for our call. Seems to be a small family business--no uniforms, unmarked white truck, etc. The two kids were friendly but not too talkative other than answering our basic questions. They were quick and skilled with the auger. Took maybe 20 minutes and charged us $84 with tax to snake the basement floor drain. Probably the cheapest in Omaha besides getting a handy man to come out.

I did take off one star because when asked about the 30 Day Guarantee advertised on their website, the son said he didn't know how long exactly the guarantee was for and that  if it backed up soon they would come back out. The 30 Day Guarantee was one of the reasons we chose this company.

All in all: Cheap, fast, no frills, got the job done.

Chris with Prestige Plumbing is great! Easy to communicate with and available on somewhat short notice. He went out of his way to help us on a commercial plumbing inspection and was upfront and honest with his feedback. Those traits are not always easy to come by nowadays. He came highly recommended to us and now we can say the same!

Frank did a great job for us.  We needed a septic tank fix in a hurry and he got right out and got us moving again.

I rarely write reviews, however this has to be done.  The customer service in the US appears to be lacking in every industry, however BLT Plumbing gets it.  Their staff in the office and field are the best.  They all seem to enjoy their work and want to make a difference for their customers.  I can't say enough fantastic things about this group.

Had Gretna Plumbing come and install a warranty replacement water heater.  The service was great and the customer service was top-notch; to the point that the tech gave a heads up that labor will be on the high side.  They came out and did the job in less than one hour.  However, just as they said ...the labor was over the top.  To the point of being 75% of the cost of the actual water heater.  This was a gut punch for one hour of work.  PLEASE make sure you ask for their labor cost prior to any work done.  If this helps someone scared to ask those $$ questions prior to, it would make me swallow this ugly pill a little more.

I'd highly recommend J&J Plumbing! Mark just came out to help with a faucet leak and was fast, friendly, and clean. He communicated well throughout (what time he would be there, a heads up when he was on his way, etc) and explained what was wrong and how he fixed it. We'll continue to use J&J Plumbing for future needs!!

Our water heater started leaking in the middle of the night. We called several different businesses and they either did not answer or weren't able to help until the morning.

Luckily we found Harvey's! He was very helpful over the phone and offered to come by and take a look. He arrived in under 30 minutes! When he got here he let us know the water heater needed replaced. . He gave us a great deal and had everything completed in about an hour. I would highly recommended Harvey's over any other company!

Called Southside Plumbing as a second look at our outside water spigot. The first plumber said we had a split in our pipe. We were able to book Southside quickly to come in. When they came they said we didn't have a split pipe but said we could and implied we should maybe switch out the pipe for our spigot, but that we can just do it ourselves and told my husband to do it. The guy wasn't even here for an hour and charged $130. We tried to do it ourselves and found out that our pipe was split and we couldn't replace it ourselves because of how the original pipe was placed. We called and emailed the company to come back and now they won't respond and keep putting it off saying they're busy. It's been over a week, so now we're going with another company. The only redeeming quality is that they didn't mind our ~50 lb dog roaming around when they came. I do not suggest them.

Ordered a dishwasher through Home Depot. Not only did they install it wrong, they installed a faulty product.  The top corner of the inside dishwasher was crushed, which could mean a leak which would not be found until serious damage to the wood would result.  They didn't even point this out to me, nor the broken middle spray arm.  In addition they installed it incorrectly so wood was exposed along the sides, the securing device visible, and again very like would have damage from moisture .  Keep clear of them!!

This company does not value customer time.

Assigned repair for our home warranty a week in advance. They provided a four hour window. I took off time from work and waited. I finally called 10 minutes from the end of the four hour window. Technician said he would be right over. I waited another hour. Their front office called my wife and I over an hour after that to see if the tech had shown up. Rescheduled through our warranty company, hopefully with a provider that values customers and customer time. I had to take five hours of my vacation time, and finally got a call back from the tech two and a half hours after the service window closed.

They came to my house twice and fixed nothing. Had to use another plumber to get anything done.
