Best Electricians in Indiana
Contacted Patrick for help on a long list of electric work after getting my home inspection report. Being a new homeowner, I appreciated his candor on what was higher priority and lower priority on the list since I didn't have the funds to do the whole list right after purchasing my home. I am currently redoing a half bath and needed some electric work completed before I went on to the next steps. He fit me into the same weeks' schedule although he was busy so I was able to move forward with my bathroom remodel. I could not recommend him enough!

Fabulous and would highly recommend! I was left with a horrible mess from another contractor. Wesley came over on a Sunday and was able to get everything in working order. He has done several projects since and I would highly recommend him!

Friendly owner, friendly staff, they got the job done quick. Not much I can write about except that they got the job done with efficiency, they did what they were supposed to do, and they were nice folks.

I hired McGlinch electric when my under ground service shorted out. I called for them to replace my meter base while the service was down, they stopped on the job they were working on an came right over and replaced the meter base. The work was fast and professional, I would use them again.

Fast, friendly and fair. Thank you to Aaron for coming to the rescue - reattaching my riser due to a down limb and assisting in the restoration of my power. Same day service, reasonable rates.
I would recommend him for any electrical service needs.

My whole job wasn't real big, but it was in a pole barn that provided lots of obstacles. They came on a 90+ degree day and worked quickly with quality as the end product

My Mini Cooper has been giving me all kinds of trouble of late. Took it to a few different mechanics but had no luck identifying the problem correctly. They always found a "problem" just never the right one. Thankfully, I found Mike and my car's been running great. Highly recommend!

Professional, communicative, and efficient. We've used Ashpaugh on two separate occasions to install ceiling fans and then med/large size chandeliers + pendant lights. Both experiences exceeded our expectations. Our electrician, Micah, provided high quality work and had a genuine knack for customer service. If you're particular about things being done the right way, and working with professionals who care about their customers, give them a call. I also found their prices to be very fair. We will continue using Ashpaugh for all of our electrical needs in the future.
Highlights from our experience:
-They got us on their schedule quickly
-Arrived well on the earlier side of their arrival window (both times), which was appreciated
-I was told the price up front before any work was done
-I was told how the work would be done, how long it would take, and they proactively asked me about any personal touches (i.e. which side for the fan paddle, how long to hang the chandelier chain, etc)
-I was asked if I was happy with the work on each fixture, and if I wanted something changed, Micah was more than happy to make the change
-Micah took caution not to damage any part of our home throughout the installation. Carrying ladders and tools around the house... it's easy to bump wall corners, he paid attention to everything.
-All of our fixtures look and work great!

HOME OWNER BE WARE!!
We called this company out on Friday Jan. 31st to repair a broken furnace. Their resolve was to replace a motor or replace the furnace due to its age. We paid for the motor and was told this should resolve the problem until we can replace the furnace. The furnace went out again Feb 6th. Because they had fixed a problem last year for the furnace, I chose to get a second opinion. I was told in that review the actual problem was a leaking pipe that had leaked into the parts and that another part was also affected which Efficient System did not mention AT ALL. It was very apparent that this was the issue. There was rust everywhere. We trusted the Efficient System rep when he told us that the furnace was just old in fact his quote included the following note with NO mention of rust, water leak or the other faulty part which you could see just looking at it:
DRAFT INDUCER REPLACEMENT: Replace inducer assembly do to failure other issues may still exist after repair but unable to test until inducer is repaired
Efficient Systems NEVER mentioned any leaks or rust or that more than one part was affected. I called them back and requested that they remove the part and refund our money for a fix that did not solve the problem and would force us to spend an insanely unnecessary amount for several separate repairs. Rob and his assistant refused to provide a refund and argued that they fixed a part. Yeah a part that was not needed. Don't call this company. I'm filing with BBB.

I've used these guys several times for various home remodel and repair work. They arrive on time and work all day getting your job done. They are sometimes a bit expensive in how they price things, but if you talk to the owner, Chad Christian, he will work with you for the best deal that fair for all and affordable for you. Estimates are normally not fee, trip charge is about $85 and will count towards any repair work you may have done. They have done AC, plumbing, wiring / electrical, rood, gutter, and construction work for me. The crew does good work and tries their best to not make messes and cleans up as much as they can at the end of each day, but messes are expected in any type remodel. So they do a good job. I will use them again as needed. I recommend them for your home repair needs.

It pains me to write a sub-par review, but honesty is what keeps Yelp the authroity that it is, right? I reached out to Paul in late September regarding installing a ceiling fan in my son's room. By early October, we were ready to schedule and get the job done. When they arrived and began working, they discovered that the ceiling fan I had purchased on a garage sale site would not work for the space. Bummed out with a hole in the ceiling, a guy in the attic, and no ceiling fan, Paul recommended that he would buy me a ceiling fan and install it the next day if that worked for me. Perfect! We were still moving in, and things were hectic enough! He texted me a photo of the fan he found that met our specifications, I agreed, and he bought it. He just included the sale price in with my overall fee to him. He and his assistant came out the next day and completed the installation.
Cut to mid-November. All of the sudden, the ceiling fan and lights stopped working, and we couldn't figure out why. I texted Paul, refreshing his memory of the installation job, and told him that everything stopped working, and could he please give me a call or text after a set time that business day, when I'd be available. He immediately responded yes. I didn't receive a call or text. The next business day I texted him again, letting him know that I would be available all day for a phone call. I did not receive one. The next evening, we were putting things up in the attic, and suddenly my son's fan and light came on. We just bumped the wire they installed in October that had a loose connection. So my husband was able to fix it right then. So the next business day, a full four days after I contacted Paul, I told him not to bother texting me, because my husband was able to fix the ceiling fan situation.
Look, I know people are busy. That's why I give them the benefit of the doubt. But when you immediately respond, but then ghost me after you find out that I need you to fix your work, and therefore it won't be a moneymaker for you, that's just poor customer service.

Fast professional service at a fair price. Dennis was excellent at discovering the problem and with repair. Will not hesitate to call in the future and would highly recommend.

He gave me a bid for new AC and air handler! When he came he cut gas line and just let it go in air! He then installed old equipment! Air handler is 10 years old, A/C is 6! I had different contractor tell me how of everything was! The day I told him not to come back he pulled permit 2 weeks after he started! Lines are two small! Electric is in wrong! Thermostat wired wrong! He bypassed my heat pump so it wouldn't even kick on! This is all supposed to be brand new equipment why is he bypassing!!! Awful experience! I want my money back and he can have his 10 year old equipment back! Everything has to be replaced! I am suing him!

Still owes me $80 (since 2016). Not impressed with his business or personal ethics. I am easy to find, so he has no excuse.

This was the second time using Hickman Electric they must be a very large company with many accounts because the little guy in the little house means nothing to them I had an appointment scheduled for a week and a half for 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning took the day off work so I could be home for them call them at 9:45 wondering where the guy was to do my electrical work got a voicemail received a call back about 10 minutes later telling me I'm glad you called I was on my way back to the office to get your number we're not going to be able to make it out today we had a fire loss two days ago and we are trying to restore the power to the building is what the man told me thank you very much for my cancellation notice all it takes is a phone call and I would be at work today earning my wage so if you have a little electrical job may I suggest looking for someone besides Hickman to do it for you they are not even deserving of one star but Yelp make sure you give them at least one
