Luckily we had a 2nd bathroom & most importantly had Chris come out to fix it for us! We were so thankful it was done within the same day since we had very low expectations to begin with but we were so pleased with their service. Would highly recommend to anyone needing help!

The pipes at our house were 41+ years old, and have never been changed. We called Alert Plumbing (Ruben) and automatically felt like family. With the help of his family, our 3 bathroom, 2600 square foot house was repiped in 2 days! All of our faucets are working beautifully! Ruben even let us know that our water heater needed replacing and did it right there! It's so nice to know that Alert Plumbing will be there whenever needed! They are now part of my family. These guys saved the day! Had a pipe burst in a commercial building forcing evacuation. My upstairs bathroom's shower and kitchen faucet seemed to have low pressure, but the other faucets and toilets were working fine. I could also hear water in the wall behind the shower, which made me uneasy. My next door neighbor recommended Alert Plumbing, since she had a very good experience with them.
Bryan showed up within the time window I was given. He was polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. He fixed the problem with the shower and the kitchen water pressure. The told me what steps to take about the water I heard in the wall, because it might involve the HOA. Once I hear from them, if needed, I will call Alert Plumbing again without hesitation.

My faucets has low pressure and they sent Brian out to diagnose FREE of charge. He even cleaned the faucet heads without a charge (gave him a tip) and was very knowledgeable, respectful and good at his work. I have tried so many plumbers and never had such a good experience! Highly recommend.

Contacted the business in the late afternoon, a very kind woman answered, took my information and said she'd check to see if anyone of her techs were available. She called back as promised within the hour and said that Brian would be out within the hour as well. Brian was diligent, kind and knowledgeable. His equipment failed him, and said he'd be back the next morning. (Understandable). He showed up the next morning, cleared the clogged drain, showed me the roots that were at the end of the snake. And explained (which I already knew) of a house this old, that we're going to need a drain / sewer replaced sooner than later. (I don't think I'm ever going to retire ) Nonetheless, service was excellent!! Definitely will contact Alert Plumbing again.

Our rental house in San Jose had a serious gas leak. Our tenants, a family of 5, including a newborn, had to vacate.
Alert Plumbing, Raul, inspected, and began work right away. They even worked on their day off so the family could move back in the house!
When PGE came to turn the gas back on, they refused to climb a ladder to turn the furnace back on!
Raul's team turned it back on for the tenants.
Can't say enough about their professional AND caring service!

What a rip off. Con men. Told me pipes under house are all rusted when a real plumber came and looked, all copper plumbing. had called for blocked toilet, they ended up taking off the toilet and putting a new one on cause they couldn't clear it unless they did ... $1,050 later and a couple weeks later blocked again. There should be a law about this kind of business cheat.

We haven't started work yet but so fair Ruben has been great. Very responsive crew. Ruben is straight forward and accommodating. He didn't try to upsell or scare us into getting work done in a hurry. He gave us options and provided a very competitive quote that included permit and a 10 year warranty. When I commented that some other plumbers quoted much more. He explained Alert Plumbing is a family run business and they do the work themselves so can quote a better price compared to others that charge 30% markup using subcontractors. His hourly rate is $125 which is reasonable and fair for a licensed plumber.

Job Done: Replacing all old (old, old, old) galvanized pipes with copper in two bathrooms (showers/toilets/sinks), kitchen (sink, dishwasher, refridge water), washing machine, water heater & outside faucets.
We were referred to Alert Plumbing by a good friend. Ruben was very responsive to our initial call. He gave us a thorough evaluation of what he thought needed to be done, quoted a reasonable price and didn't try to upsell. Brian and all the workers were very friendly, and disruption of our home routine was kept to a minimum. They were VERY detail-oriented, from tear out, installation, clean up, and finishing touches. They even threw in some nice extras. We would hire them again in a heartbeat.

My bathroom sink, toilet, shower all decided to back up at once. Called and they were able to respond that afternoon. Took almost 2 days to get the problem fixed. We had a Sunday night emergency of the water heater shut down.
I called Alert Plumbing Sunday eve and was told the technician will be by tomorrow between 9 and 11 am.
Ruben showed up on time and proceeded to diagnose my problem. He asked what I had done and then proceeded to inspect and trouble shoot the problem. He got the heater burner working and consulted with an other manufacturing expert and concluded that the heater was working properly. His timely arrival and professional expertise was greatly appreciated. He went out of his way to consult another expert and left satisfied that the problem was corrected.

Our toilet was leaking and when I called Alert this morning they gave me an appointment for the next day, but called back later to say there was a cancellation and could come now--great!
Brian came and quickly fixed the issue. He was very polite and friendly and immediately found the issue. And, because it was a minor adjustment, he didn't charge us!
We have used Alert Plumbing a few times before and and have always had quick responsive service.

I noticed a wet spot in one of my downstairs bedrooms and knew I had to get in touch with someone to get it looked at ASAP. Got an appointment with Alert Plumbing the next day. Ruben and team promptly arrived, explained in detail the diagnostics activities they'd have to perform, and kept me informed every step of the way. He was very open and transparent and more importantly, incredibly patient and responsive with my many questions. Ruben and his team determined the root cause of the leak (from the upstairs master bathroom), picked up the necessary parts, and got the plumbing issue fixed in two sessions. Just had my bath tub spout replaced by Ruben! The water diverter stopped working and the metal was corroded underneath so I couldnt pull off the old spout by myself. Highly recommend Alert Plumbing for any of your plumbing needs. A few years ago this company installed a water line for my refrigerator ice maker. Yesterday Brain from Alert plumbing did an excellent job in installing a new American Standard ADA toilet. Brain fully explained what needed to be done to properly fit the new toilet to my sewer line. If possible, any new plumbing requirements I will ask for Brian to do the plumbing. As a Air Force veteran I was happy to know that Alert Plumbing offered a 10% discount to Veterans!

They snaked our sewer from House to city pipe, about 30 feet. The cement pipes fill with roots and sewage backs up into the house. It only drained for 3 days. The guy who came would not come back out. He charged $250.
We got Triton Plumbing to redo for $145, the owner will guarantee for 30 days

We became aware of a pipe leak under our home and I quickly contacted Alert and they were able to get someone out the next day! 2 weeks ago I had a leak under the kitchen sink from the garbage disposal. They replaced the disposal. Last week when we ran the dishwasher for the first time after the repair, it turned out the drain hose from the dishwasher was leaking; it had gotten loose when they installed the disposal. Called them again and they came out to repair. Joey noticed not only the hose needed re-attachment but also a new air gap from dishwasher was needed. He drove to the store and installed everything under warranty at no charge.

I am writing the review 11 months after getting the service. was busy with many projects at home finally got a chance to write it up.
I got a quote from Ruben Oacha for running a gas line to the kitchen and fire place. the quote was very reasonable, and got on schedule pretty fast. Joey worked on the project and was awesome. He finished the project on time, and cleaned up the whole place after he was done.
Alert Plumbing also helped securing the permit for the project and it went so well.
After few days of this work, our water heater started giving trouble. the pilot would not stay turned on, and i contacted Joey. He came over to turn it on and did not even charge us. Later we realized that it was time to replace the water heater as it was almost 15 years old and Joey helped replace it too and did a very good job. i am extremely happy with the work.

An honest, family owned/operated, midsized company with decades of experience in the area. Highly skilled, professional and economical. They replaced and otherwise repaired my lame lawn sprinkler system that was leaking water and money. Last year, my kitchen plumbing issues were also fixed exactly when and how they said they would. I called for an appointment to fix a leaking faucet drain and was scheduled for an tomorrow. They called back about a half hour later and said they could have someone out in about an hour. Joey Dominguez was the technician they sent. He and his partner were friendly and courteous. They fixed the problem quickly and were off to their next job. Very happy with the service and will not hesitate to call again if I have another plumbing problem.

We had a semi-emergency in the kitchen. Alert was the only one to pick up and get someone out within the hour. Ruben came by about 40 minutes after we called and the issue fixed in about 45 minutes.

We had the main sewer line from the house fail due to age in January. After several estimates by plumbing services we determined that the terra cotta pipes had collapsed under the driveway and needed to be dug-up and replaced.

That's when Alert Plumbing entered the picture. They assessed the situation, provided a very reasonable estimate, and quickly got to work. They were professional, friendly, and very informative throughout the job. Repairs were made and City inspections completed without delay. The speed and quality of repair was impressive, especially with a job of this magnitude, and they guaranteed their work.

My first phone call if I have a future plumbing issue is going to be Alert. They delivered on a big job at a very reasonable cost.

I got home one night to find my garage full of water. The water heater broke. I immediately started calling repair companies to come out ASAP. Ruben was kind enough to come out that night to help get the situation under control enough so the technicians could finish replacing the water heater the next morning.

Highly recommend Ruben and his crew! He's experienced, honest, and fair. We contacted him (after he was referred to us from a good friend) for a 2nd opinion on an island sink install (as part of a major kitchen remodel) that our General Contractor said couldn't be done...AND Ruben made it happen!
Fast forward to another issue we had, we discovered a leak in our walls caused by rodents biting through a drain and Ruben handled it like the pro he is! We want to highly recommend Alert Plumbing (408-272-1423), a family business in the Berryessa district. Our old water heater completely failed, flooding our garage on a Friday night. While other plumbers were closed for the weekend, Alert Plumbing came out on Saturday to walk us through purchasing and installing a new water heater. They were very patient, and kindly helped us return and swap a water heater that turned out to be defective when we opened the box from Home Depot. Their prices were very reasonable. And we even got a rusted water main valve replaced by them on the same day. Kudos to the plumbers, Jesse and Jose.

I have had their service a couple of times in the past, never a problem. But I guess their service have gone south.

I had an appointment from 8AM to 9AM, no show or no call to let me know they will be late. I called back close to 9AM to check up, the technician said he is on the say and will be there shortly by 9:15AM. By 9:30AM, still no show. I called back and now they told me van broke down. I understand van can break down and thing can happen, but isn't this a basic courtesy to let your customer that you will be late. It doesn't make sense for me to have to follow up twice.

Then first thing the technician tells me as soon he arrived was that the job is $250 but he will give it to me for $200. $200 was what I was quoted when I made the appointment. Then when I called back to speak to the customer service, and I was told the price is $202.50 and she will give it to me for $200. Excuse me. How did the price all of a sudden goes up and then comes down to my quoted price as a special discount for being late?

Late without giving a heads up is already bad enough, but dishonest is just a no go.

Ruben and his crew were very thorough. We had a clog in our sewer line, and after they removed the roots that were causing the problem, they determined that the line was sagging and split. They made sure they did it correct the first time. The broken pipe was replaced and they offered their recommendations. Moreover, their prices were reasonable.

Danny Ochoa has given us great service. He did a copper repipe of our home, as well as replaced the sewer line to the street, and everything was done satisfactorily and on time.

He also did sewer line replacement for our church, and whenever we had questions or needed him to come and check on something, he always came right out.

He's not like some contractors who, after he is paid, you can never get a hold of him again. Danny is a true professional, taking pride in his work. I cannot recommend him enough.

I want to highly recommend Alert Plumbing. Danny is a life saver. I called to have them come replace cartridges in Price Pfister bathtub faucets. When he went to shut off the water the water would not shut off. Also he found a gas leak. He cancelled his other appointments and took most of the day getting parts and fixing the issues. He showed me all the leaks and issues. He was also very reasonable about the pricing. I will definitely use again and would highly recommend.

Danny and Jesse came out to help install my Buoy flow meter and leak detection device. They arrive in the window they prescribed, and assessed the project. Unfortunately they had an emergency to attend to and they were polite and asked if it was ok to help them first. They were in contact the whole time and made sure I knew when to expect them. Their solution was innovative and pragmatic. The work done was excellent, and I've done metalwork in another life before. Danny has the skills. Unfortunately, the part they bought had a pinhole in it and started leaking after installation. Undaunted, Danny and Jesse solved the problem and replaced and rebrazed the piping in 45 min. The main line valve to the city water had some problems when we tried to turn on the water again, but Danny and Jesse figured it out and I have a new Buoy device monitoring my water flow and checking for leaks all over my house. Big thanks to Danny and Jesse (the Instgram man) for doing a great job, updating my pipes and valves and installing my Buoy device. 5 stars all the way.

We called Alert yesterday. I have a small 30G water heater that was not working. My handyman who had come to work on some other stuff the previous day looked at it and
said that the heating filament was broken. I picked up a new heating filament from a hardware store and called Alert to get a professional plumber to replace the filament.
I mentioned to the dispatcher - clearly what needed to be done.

Ray shows up. 1* for - showing up. When he finds out that this is at the most a 15 min job - he starts whining, whining and whining. replacing the filament might not fix it its a old water heater you should replace the water heater - its a waste of my time to to just replace the filament and on and on an on.

15min to replace it and 45 min of complaining. Says it will cost $250 !!!! He finally brow beat us to pay $150.

Will never use them again.

My husband and I have known Ruben and Alert Plumbing for about 7 years. We first used them for a septic to sewer conversion in 2004 on one of our rentals. The job went well, the tenants were able to stay in the house while the work was being done. We found Alert to be professional, prompt and courteous. Subsequent to our rental two other houses on the block used Alert Plumbing for their septic to sewer conversion

I would highly recommend Alert Plumbing to all property owners and property management companies. We all know that plumbing repairs can be a costly nightmare. In the past, I know other plumbing companies have overcharged me. I found Ruben to be honest and fair in his pricing.

Most recently we did a bathroom remodel to our own house. We took our bathroom down to the framing. The end result was beyond my expectations. I have a beautiful new bath and am so happy. Ruben and his crew did a fabulous and custom job in a timely, professional manner.

I had a sewer back up on Saturday and tried to run a snake myself, that didn't work. I called Alert Plumbing on Sunday and Joey came out and tried to get it unclogged. He was polite, friendly and explained everything he was going to do ahead of time. He was not able to get the problem fixed but made suggestions on how to proceed. The next day Ruben came out with him to look at the situation and also made some suggestions on what to do, which was dig a replace a suspected broken pipe. They were very accommodating to answer all my questions and even made a recommendation that could take business away from them. They went out of their way to try and fix this by grabbing a city crew they saw down the block and bringing them by. I felt like the were truly trying to do the best for my situation and I appreciate it. As it turns out, my issue ended up being fixed by the City (a few days later) and I did not need Ruben's services. Alert Plumbing earned my respect any any future business as well as recommendations to others. Thanks.

We called Danny from Alert Plumbing, he was very prompt and went over and beyond the job .We live in an older home pipes are very old we had what I thought to be a leaky tub faucet ,actually it was a broken pipe!Danny replaced the pipes for tub ,valves under bathroom sink and that's not what he was called to do.I HIGHLY recommend ALERT for all plumbing issues.!!! I HIGHLY recommend Danny for the job!!

They came out to do the work and although they promised to leave the wall paint ready it was not done the first time. The tech also left dirty, oily marks on the door frame. The came out the second time and still the wall was not paint ready. After that they hounded us to make payment even before the job was complete and have yet to get them to send us a copy of the invoice after 30 days. I would have to think long and hard to do business with this company again. Ruben talks well but he does not follow through with his promises.

Ruben's team at Alert Plumbing has just helped us on re-piping the cold and hot water line, and they changed a new sewer line for us as well. They are very professional and nice to work with. Ruben also helped us found the two blockages between the drain in our house and the city's, and replaced a new one for us. They completed this big project for us timely with 35-year warranty. If some thing happens, Ruben promised me they would come and fix it within 2 days. They have done a great job. I really appreciate it!

We hired Alert plumbing about 6 years ago to repipe our house. Ruben and his brothers did an amazing job, he told us the job will be finished in less than two days and true to his word they finished it in less than two days. In addition to that they were very courteous coming in and out of the house while performing the job and made sure the rest of the house stayed clean. Additionally they have the best customer service ever! They are very prompt with returning phone calls and informing their customers if they are running late... Highly recommend Alert Plumbing!!
