I have been doing electrical for about 30 years. I love what I do and I do it well, in fact I am one of very few electrical contractors that will give you forever warranty on the labor done in your house.
Simply what it means is if I do something in your house and it stops working, I will fix it for you without a charge. If material fails I can't do it for free once the warranty expires, but I will give you fair price and do it so it lasts for a long time.

Great experience with John yesterday. He was prompt, professional and informative. He provided multiple solutions to the issue and was reasonably priced.
This was such a bizarre experience. I asked this company for an estimate on purchasing and installing a particular camera (and gave all the specifications). Out of several people who were contacted, he was the only one that told me to buy the camera first and then contact him. The request CLEARLY said that we wanted the camera purchased for us in the requested estimate. Otherwise, why would I provide all the specifics? He went off on a rant about what if we don't like the camera, why we'd have to put down a deposit and sign a contract, and all this other stuff.
We have had six other cameras installed and never had this problem. A couple other companies wanted to introduce us to new camera and DVR options and just gave us estimates, so we could fully understand the price. He doesn't seem to understand the concept of an estimate. No one asked him to buy the camera right at this very moment. We were just curious about what the rate would be to pay for both parts and labor. Weirdest experience ever. But at least I know not to ever contact this company again.
We did a mini kitchen remodel and noticed that we had an issue in the electrical wiring in for some of our appliances. John came out the next day (on a Sunday) and very quickly identified and resolved our problem. He was very professional and we'll definitely call him again for any other electrical problems we encounter.

John came by within 90 minutes to assess our power outage. He was quickly able to determine that ComEd's meter labeling was incorrect and the situation was on their end. While he didn't get his hands dirty this time, we'll definitely be giving him a call again to work on installing new fixtures and troubleshooting some gremlins that have surfaced.

Life saver and wallet saver. The main breaker at my house went bad and was tripping with no major appliances on. I called one electric company and before they even looked at it they said i was overloaded and wanted me to upgrade my panel. I knew i wasn't overloaded. I called John and we started texting, he asked several questions and he had an idea of what the problem was. I sent him photos of my panel and he quoted me before coming out. He texted me later on that he was available and he came out. Within 20 minutes he was done. I went from a $2,000 quote to a $180 repair (including parts). Its been two months and everything is working great.
He took the time and explained everything to me while working and why he was doing it. Obviously, he likes to inform his customers which I really like. He answered all my questions and provided a complete answer which left me feeling comfortable with his work after he left. I take electrical work very seriously and I don't trust anybody who doesn't seem to have answers or doesn't like to be questioned.
A lot of people don't like that he texts, its different but obviously he prefers it and it works, so I didn't mind. He asks what he needs to know and gets back to you when he can. There was a gap between the texts but i had patience and he came through in the end.
He's my go to guy for electrical work going forward.
I had a problem with an outlet in my garage and called John. He came out the next day and fixed it. He was very professional and punctual. I would definitely recommend John. I will be using him in the future for all my electrical ned
John is wonderful! Aside from being a completely delightful human being, he's a fantastic electrician. So far he has installed a flush light fixture, a ceiling fan/ light combo, a chandelier, and he even swapped out my hard wired CO and smoke detectors. He gave me a little advice too about some of the lighting items in my home. Such a great guy and electrician.
Have used John for electrical issues several times. He is a great problem solver and has a can-do attitude. Whatever you need he will make it work. He is very knowledgeable and professional. I just had him replace a main circuit breaker and he couldn't have been any better! He was fast, friendly and gave an outstanding price! I'm so impressed, he even stopped to tighten screws on our back door without any prompting and now it works better too! Just the very best experience one could imagine! A+++++ to the max!
Called John out to repair a circuit breaker that was serving our A/C. Considering it was like 95F, I was grateful for the quick response time and punctuality to get the A/C running again. He worked efficiently and made a special trip to get a part. Highly recommended, and very reasonable rates.
I'm always baffled by service companies that don't return calls or follow through on commitments, but that wasn't a problem with John. He answered the phone, had quick availability, was on time, and finished quickly.

I would recommend John based on how helpful and honest he was with me. I have a problem with an electric radiant heat bathroom floor. He told me he did not have the equipment to do beyond a certain point in figuring out the issue. He directed me to someone who would be able to give me the name of someone who could help me. We exchanged several texts and talked on the phone. In a time when many contractors don't call you back at all, let alone on work they don't do...he is a standout.
He came to my condo to check whether or not there was any aluminum wiring because another electrician had told us we had some. He was there when he said he would be and was polite and to the point. All copper wiring. Not aluminum! Thank you.
John does excellent work. He is responsive, trustworthy and his pricing is very fair. John completed a large job for us that required running electrical underground from the garage to the house - and has also come out for a few smaller jobs fixing outlets and a closet light. He works efficiently and explains the issues thoroughly. Highly recommended for electrical projects big and small.

John is a seasoned electrician. He was very experienced and thorough. His pricing was very reasonable. He was very professional and I will definitely use again!
John is phenomenal! He came out for a consultation to replace lighting above my kitchen island and was very friendly. He explained a few options and we decided on a plan of action. Today he came to install the lights. The cost was exactly what he estimated, and he even threw in a few lightbulbs! John workd quickly and was very clean. No mess! Please call him for all of your electrical needs.
I contacted John to help GFCI protect 3 of our outdoor outlets. I had a wonderful experience working with John. Not only was he responsive and easy to schedule with, but he was honest, considerate of our home, knowledgeable and efficient. I appreciated that he explained to me what he was doing and why. He did terrific work and, to top it all off, his price is very fair. I would absolutely recommend John to anyone needing electrical work done.

There was an issue with an outdoor outlet (screwed up by a previous contractor) that ended up shutting down the electrical service in half my house. John listened to me and basically diagnosed the source of the problem right over the phone. He was able to stop by at the end of his workday and made the repair quickly and professionally.

I can not say enough about how much we enjoyed working with John. John is patient, kind, punctual, affordable and one hell of an electrician/detective.
He first came out to our house about a year ago to hang 2 chandeliers and mount our TV over our the fireplace. He gave us a free estimate at a time that was convenient with our work schedules which was far less expensive than the other 4 bids we received. He also advised on some of the missing parts we needed to buy prior to the install. When John ran into unexpected issues (our house is built in 1894) I was horrified that we wouldn't be able to afford finishing the job but John didn't give up and he didn't increase his estimate, saying it happens and we couldn't have known unless we opened up the wall...it's not your fault. He stayed all day running a conduit through our very old walls and didn't once complain. We've enjoyed our fancy fireplace mounted TV with over the past year and guests are always amazed that we were able to run 4 HDMI cords behind the wall, across the room, to a perfectly hidden bookshelf.
He came out again this week to investigate a non-functioning ceiling light and was able to provide us with options and a workaround that allowed us to hang our new bedroom chandelier.
Highly recommend and plan to call John for all our electric needs in the future.

I absolutely couldn't recommend anyone more than John! Around 5pm on a Saturday my breakers blew the entire house four times in an hour with no explanation. I randomly started calling Yelp electricians and John was immediately responsive and here with the part I needed in under an hour! He's incredibly friendly, professional, smart and gave me all the options, including the cheap fix and the way he would recommend. Best of all he hooked me up with a fix that will last until we can get it done properly! Best of all, his rate (which could/should have been an after hours emergency rate) + parts was so reasonable.

I called John when I accidentally fried an outlet and the baseboard heater in my daughter's room. He was able to fit me into his schedule the same day. He fixed the issue quickly and also provided me information on a future project to expand my electrical panel. John communicated with me mostly via text, which I prefer over phone calls. John was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. I will definitely contact him again with any future electrical needs.
They are magical. My garage circuit breaker blew and would not flip back to on. I texted John about it and he responded same day with a series of questions about my problem. Within 5 minutes, VIA TEXT, we solved the problem. Cost to me? $0. That's simply amazing from a number of perspectives: professional, ethical, and electrical :-)
Above everything else, what I learned is this: if you need an electrician you can *trust*, call John.
There isn't much I can add to the other 5-star reviews here, so I'll just say that it's great when you find a tradesman who's honest, dependable, and competent. I'm very happy to have found John!
Over the last 20 years we tried many electricians to make repairs in our 80 yr old condo with many ancient wiring issues. It wasn't until we found John that those repairs were made the right way and held up over time. This is a professional who knows what he's doing and takes the time to find the right solution. We highly recommend him to our friends and family.

Handled several projects for me today, including the surprises that come with a 100 year old building (think 100 year old boxes, old gaslight pipes, and some shotty work leftover from the previous owner's rehab). Found a few issues along the way that he took care of as he completed my projects.
Did fantastic work, excellent patching and cleanup, and genuinely cares about what he does. Also, very nice to my spaz of a dog.
I cannot recommend him enough. Really one of my best Yelp finds to date.
I've used John on many occasions now for my rental properties. He is hands down the most proficient electrician I've used in the city over the last 20 years. He's talented, fair, honest, and works above and beyond regardless of the hour to get the job done. And done right. Without taking advantage of you and is extremely affordable with his pricing. You couldn't find a better electrician.
We've used John's services twice, once to fix our dishwasher connection and also recently to install an outdoor outlet. Both times he has come out to give an estimate the same day as my call and has completed the work within a day.
His workmanship is outstanding, prices are reasonable and he's also a really lovely guy! Sometimes it's hard to find genuine and honest tradespeople, we are really lucky to have found John!
I called John because all the good yelp reviews, and I am very glade I hired him. It is such a pleasure working with him. I will highly recommend him.

After reading some great reviews I had high hopes for John and his troubleshooting. Unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. After calling John on the phone we made an appointment for him to meet me at my home on a Tuesday evening (which he never showed up to). Thinking that maybe I had understood incorrectly I called John and asked if I was mistaken. He proceeded to state that he thought we had scheduled for the following date. I gave John the benefit of the doubt and rescheduled for the following day at 6 pm. At 7 pm that day he texted to say he was coming from across the city and was on his way. When he did arrive he proceeded to offer zero solutions to my electrical questions and jetted out of the house having complained that he had just spent 2 hours in traffic which is irrelevant when you are a business owner who seeks business throughout the city of Chicago which does span across quite a distance. I rarely rate people so poorly, but this time around I felt compelled to do so based on the fact that he pretty much wasted our time to two days straight.

I don't know how to install any light fixtures on my own , so I found John's Electric Troubleshooting on yelp!!!! To switch off a ceiling fan light fixtures . a chandelier and dining room fixture , he was awesome , he was on time , and professional , he installed all fixtures within an hour , I would definitely call on him for future projects, thank you again John, you rock !!!!!!

Very knowledgeable, honest, and pleasant man. John quickly diagnosed our electrical issue and worked efficiently to solve the problem. He was wonderful and I'd certainly recommend him to anyone.
Make a call to john to see about a GFCI outlet problem in the washroom. He came out and fix the problem in no time. Give me great advice and Love the attitude and experience. John is an exceptional electrician and REALLY knows his craft. Over the past 15 years I have used him so many times, I've lost count.
He dug a trench and supplied electricity to a large water fountain in the yard, he has installed numerous ceiling fans and dimmers on light switches, He has installed new outlets (both interior and exterior) for me, he maintains little mushroom landscaping lights twice a year, provides ongoing hallway and staircase lighting maintenance on apartment buildings, has replaced light fixtures and also knows how to fix other things like install a new lock or help with light carpentry.
I only have great things to say about John--and when someone is that great, you hesitate to tell the whole world about it because you're afraid he'll be too busy next time you need him, but I decided to pay it forward and share the love. John is the best!
The communication before the service call was excellent. I was unable to be there when the work was done. There were some issues that I believe I should have been informed about, but wasn't. The workmen were on time and neat. I would definitely use this company again, but wouldn't rely on someone else to be there when work is being done.

Cue Friday night...sitting down for a glass of wine, turn on your track lighting, and all of a sudden your switch sends off some sparks and your track lighting goes dark. Not quite the relaxing Friday night we were hoping for...I called John Saturday morning and he was able to come out on Sunday to look at the issue. Thankfully, he determined it was not a serious problem and was also able to help us fix some of the other small things we had been putting off until later. John did a great job and was very friendly. We are definitely using him for some future things we are planning to do at our place!

Just called to ask if someone could come out to look at a problem I'm having with a switch and he flat out said no. He said he couldn't do it this week and 1) didn't ask if next week would work and 2) when I asked about next week he said he didn't know. I guess this place has so much business they are flat out turning people away.
I highly recommend John for any of your electrical work needs. He recently did some work in my house and was thoughtful about his approach and mindful about doing it in the most efficient yet least invasive manner. His work is quality, he is very experienced and knowledgeable, and a heck of a nice guy on top of it all. You're in for a great all around experience with John!

I called John at 3pm and he was at my house less than 5 hours later. He replaced a faulty switch in my kitchen and got my dishwasher and disposal working again within an hour. He was fast, professional, knowledgeable and fairly priced. I would use him again in a heartbeat!
Contacted this guy on Monday for an estimate and said text him the address for a Sat appointment. I tried to confirm for Sat and he said he can come on Sunday evening instead. After changing my schedule around to accomodate the new confirmed time. He doesn't show up or call at all.
John helped me with several electrical troubleshooting needs for my mom's place in Evanston. He was thoughtful about the work, helping us seek the most efficient solutions, thus minimizing the cost of repairs. He found time on a Sunday to help us, without charging at a premium rate. He was also super friendly and accommodating. We need some additional work done in the fall and will definitely be calling him. Do not hesitate to use him!

Cannot recommend John highly enough. He did some electrical work for us earlier this summer (upgrading our breaker box and wiring for central air)), and he added two outdoor outlets for almost no charge. Then, tonight, we found a circuit was tripping when our heat kicked on, so we called him and he came within half an hour. On a Sunday night. He switched out the bad breaker, no problem (we're not particularly handy). Oh, and he didn't charge us anything. Such a nice, professional, knowledgable guy.
FANTASTIC QUALITY AND SERVICE! It was the first time we have used John and we selected him based on online reviews, his availability (able to come in the evening) and was easy to communicate with. We would definitely recommend him to others and will call him again. We had him install a ceiling fan and he was informative, by telling me an honest opinion of the fan I had purchased and why he would not recommend the integrated LED light. He allowed me to quickly purchase a different fan after laying out the pros/cons of the one I had bought. He also had all the tools and supplies for the job including a new switch and some new wire. I also enjoyed spending the evening with him and learning a little about electrical wiring and ceiling fan installation. Thank You John!

Wonderful. I called John around 7pm on a Thursday evening and he came over an hour later. Thankfully there wasn't a problem and he only charged me a nominal fee. Highly recommend!
Another great review for John. We had an issue with our overhead porch light and he was able to come out the next day to investigate. Since we work during the day, he was willing to stop by after 6 p.m. which was really helpful. In addition to repairing the light, he stayed even later to help us repair another light fixture while we had his attention. His rate is also reasonable. We were relieved to have all of this settled within 24 hours after another electrician told us he wouldn't be able to come out for a month.
We have had a couple of really GREAT experiences with John. He's communicative, arrives when he says he will, is friendly, professional, and know his stuff. He's hooked up the electric for our new A/C system, exterior outlets for the house, and, most recently, our new dishwasher. Always friendly, always reasonably priced. Cannot emphasize enough how happy we are with his service; you can't go wrong with John P.

I contacted John on 4/7/15 and he came to my place on 4/8/15 to replace two electrical outlets that were causing problems. He was very responsive, prompt, polite and extremely helpful. Oh yeah and quite reasonably priced! I will definitely use John again in the future and have already recommended him to several friends. Thanks John!
Highly recommend! John is the whole package: courteous, responsive, professional, and knowledgeable. What's so clear when John comes to fix your stuff is how much he loves this (highly dangerous!) craft. He loves to talk shop, answer questions, and solve problems. He's been to our condo twice and both times figured out tricky problems. His prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality of service he provides. Top marks, no question!
John installed a ceiling fan for me in my old home with questionable wiring. He gave an estimate via email, was easy to arrange an appointment with and was on time. The work took a couple hours and when he left the room was clean. I will definitely call him in the future if necessary.

Can't recommend John enough- he's amazing. First off, I called few other electricians for my job and John was the first to get back to me to schedule. He was right on time, super friendly, and very efficient. We actually had bought dimmers and ruined them unknowingly and John had spares in his car that were the same brand and half the price. He did work on the two dimmers and we added another job. Great price- great service. If you're looking for a great electrician who knows his stuff and has integrity, John is your guy!
John's customer service is absolutely stellar. I was having trouble with a couple of light switches and asked him if he had thoughts on how to fix them. He gave me a couple of ideas to fix it. I tried it out, and it worked! He successfully troubleshooted my electrical issues via phone, and that's what I was looking for. Yay! Thanks so much, John!
The electricity on the second floor of my condo was on the fritz, every electrician/handyman I called required $50-150 to come out and give an estimate telling me the earliest they could come was later in the week. I called John who told me he could be there in two hours to provide a free estimate and diagnostic. He came less than 120 minutes later assessed the problem and gave me the estimate saying he wouldn't charge anything more. He not only fixed the problem, but then took time to verify existing surround sound on another floor was still working properly for free. Highly recommend his work.

John is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and skilled at what he does. He recently helped us replace 2 overhead light fixtures which both required a bit of troubleshooting, including 1 that required some electrical re-wiring. John showed up on time and continued to be professional all the way through. He was extremely patient and willing to go the extra mile to solve a problem which we both realized was considerably more complex than I had conveyed over the phone when scheduling the appointment. He even went to 2 home improvement stores to get the additional equipment needed to solve the problem - without complaint or reservation.
Prior to calling John I was fearful that we wouldn't be able to find anyone to help us, as previous electrician's we've reached out to had declined to work with us when they found out that we didn't have a massive new construction job for them to work on. Unlike those previous experiences, John was exremely attentive to our needs even though we had a smaller job for him.
John operates with utmost integrity and takes great pride in his work. We loved working with him and our dog loved him too.
We would and will absolutely work with John again.
With a perfect rating (save a couple outliers), John probably does not need another 5-star review, but I cannot stress enough how great John is. He is a diamond in the rough; he truly cares about his craft, while being fair and reasonable to the customer. I asked him to install 4 can lights, and when he learned it was not possible absent major costs, he installed a single pendant fixture and did not charge me for literally hours of work he put in diagnosing the issue in the first instance.
About a month ago I moved into a studio in Logan Square, and from the time I previewed the apartment to the time I moved in, the ceiling light had lost power. There was a horrible noise every time I tried to turn on the light and I definitely felt a little shock go through my system. After complaining to the building management and waiting almost three weeks with no contact, I decided to take matters into my own hands.
After calling around and being given wait times of about a week before an electrician could come out to even look at my place, John promptly told me he could be there the next day. He showed up on time, listened to my concerns, and immediately got to work. By taking the situation and my preferences into account, John was able to have my problem fixed in under an hour with minimal mess and absolutely no fuss. It was outstanding! I have never received this kind of service before! Hopefully I won't be needing any electrical work done any time soon, but if I do, I'm definitely calling John again!
Never gave me a business card, never wrote down work to be done, and never got a bid. I contacted multiple times. Very unprofessional...17 days later I have to start getting an electrical bid again.
I called John today as I was having issues with the electrical in a few of the rooms at home and he was extremely helpful. I was ready to have him come out but he walked me through a few different troubleshooting options. I am very appreciative of John taking 20 minutes from his day as opposed to coming out and charging for a simple job. Wow! Words can't express how pleased I am with John's service! I recently drove in from STL to help my son take care of a few things around his new home. After having done all I could do, I decided to call on a professional. I chatted with John & scheduled an appointment for my next visit to Chicago. John stayed in touch with me & assured me he'd have it all taken care of before I left town. Not only did John quickly & professionally handle the tasks I couldn't, he even double checked the work I did to ensure it was done correctly!! He then went above & beyond to investigate a few suspicions I had about some previous wiring at my son's place. He not only corrected those issues, but offered me advice on a few things I planned to do later myself. My son kept his card & rest assured, as a mom, I trust him to handle any further electrical work needed around his new home.
Wonderful person and wonderful job! I called John and left a voice message. He replied quickly and came to our Apt to give us a free estimate. We suffered from partial power outage. John helped us check all the outlets and replaced the broken. He is very professional and hardworking. He worked from 10:00 am to 3:00pm even without a break! Besides, the price is really reasonable and great! He is so nice! RECOMMEND!
John did an excellent job installing new can lights and pendant lights for our home remodel. He is friendly, punctual, professional, and very informative. He openly communicated with us throughout the project and even helped correct a wiring issue that a previous contractor tried to hide. John is fantastic! I was having an issue with one of the kitchen light fixtures not working in my condo in Chicago. Since I live in Los Angeles, John and I communicated via text, and he worked around my tenants' limited availability. He determined the fixtures needed to be replaced. I had new fixtures directly sent to his home, and he installed the new fixtures. His pricing was unbelievably reasonable! And, he provided a great recommendation for an A/C issue. He was responsive, communicative and very helpful! Can't recommend him enough!

Simply: JOHN IS GREAT! John spent the day at my home figuring out my antiquated electrical system. With great patience he solved our problem and was able to update my circuit box. He explained the problem to me in laymen's terms and helped me understand why and what needed to be done. He was professional, punctual and very efficient. I tried doing some amateur electrical work on an outlet in my kitchen and suddenly several outlets and the refrigerator were out. It was Presidents Day weekend, and no one answered my call except John. He agreed to come the next Tuesday, and he fixed the problem: a circuit breaker that wasn't reset. He was totally on top of it.
I was a little apprehensive calling John since there were only 2 reviews, but I'm glad I did! I was leaving out of town for the weekend and my electric water heater was causing the fuse to pop. I wasn't sure if it was faulty wiring or a faulty fuse, either way, I had no time to check it out myself. I needed to get it fixed before I left for the weekend and John was able to come the same day and work around my roommate's schedule. Professional and trustworthy, I'll definitely keep him in mind for future jobs.
I contacted John via email, he replied very simply that he was booked for next 2 weeks. No effort to book a future time with me, even though I tried. Just ignored my email.
John was absolutely professional and very honest and fair with his rate. Called back promptly and did an excellent job. I would whole heartedly recommend him and would definitely use him again in the future
This review is purely on non response I had contacted this service on 9/10, initially by phone, and per his vm, it said to better reach him, do so via text. I then sent a text same day. No reply or acknowledgement. I prefer to deal with a business who at least responds to the customer, even if they are too busy to do the job or estimate. I don't know how his service is, but again this 1 star review is only due to lack of response.
Amazing work. Came the same day and helped troubleshoot a real head-scratcher of an issue with a bathroom fixture. Ended up tracing the issue to a junction box and fixed everything up so it was working and SAFE. I'd recommend John for anything. Great guy, great value and really knows what he is doing.
John did great work! I called John because I was concerned the current ceiling outlet box would not support my new ceiling fan. He not only reinforced the outlet box but also installed the new fan and the medallion I purchased for the ceiling at a very affordable price and with minimal mess. He was respectful and knowledgable. He also gave me advice on how we could repair things ourselves. As an Army wife whose husband is currently deployed, it was a pleasurable surprise to find that John is also a Veteran. I will be calling John again the next time I have electrical questions and work that needs to be done, and recommend him to anyone who is in need of an electrician.
John was very flexible with out needs and schedule, and did very thorough and clean work. We were worried because they had to dig a little behind the house but they put everything back perfectly, and the wiring work was all top notch. I would recommend and will call John when there is any future electrical work needed.
My bathroom vanity lights went out, so I called John on a Saturday morning. We needed the light to be fixed by Monday because we had company coming and I had dinner reservations on Saturday night. Not only did John fix our issue that day at a very reasonable price, he also made accommodations for our time constraints and he did it with a smile! I would absolutely recommend John for any electrical needs. He's a very nice guy and extremely helpful!

We had a weird buzzing noise coming from the breaker box. We called John and he was to our house within 2 hours. He fixed a bad breaker and tightened all the neutral the ground wires, which resulted in fixing several issues we were having with bulbs burning out too fast and faster ethernet speeds on the places using ethernet over powerline. Price was very reasonable. Exceptional service and the only electrician I will use in Chicago here on out. Highly recommended.

What a nice guy. He was available within the hour. He diagnosed and resolved our problem quickly. He reassured us about some of our general concerns, and convinced us that the additional electrical work suggested by others was not necessary. An unexpected repair is always an unhappy situation, but John's visit was really a pleasant experience. It's a good feeling, knowing that we now have an electrician we trust.

I scheduled an appointment with John to install a ceiling fan and check a potential loose wire connection in an outlet. We made the appointment a week in advance. He was on time and did an excellent job plus he's a nice person. The new fan installation needed some more work since the building still had an old gas pipe so he took care of that and the other project and the bill was very reasonable. We're so happy we found him.

John is great! I had him do a big job (putting in an extra fuse box). His rates were amazing and he was very professional. Definitely recommend. I do recommend texting him as the best way to hear back from him quickly.
Just an update here. We hired John to do some work at our new house. He installed a security light on our garage. He really went above and beyond what was required and even installed a light in our garage as well. He also installed an outlet on a wall where we wanted one in our house. He did a exceptional job and is a magician! He also provided us sound advice regarding another company we were using. He is very trustworthy and an all around nice guy. We will be hiring him again soon since we will need more work done. Thank you, John! We appreciate your wonderful work!
I was very happy with John's work. He is very meticulous and thorough and takes pride in his work. My job was fairly simple - I am selling my house, so needed to remove a home-made electrical fixture and random hanging wires in the basement so the house is up to code. John knew exactly what needed to be done and pointed out a couple of things I was not aware of, which he fixed at no extra cost. I was going to have him do some work on my speakers but he explained how complicated it would be and advised against it. So he charged me less than the estimate because he didn't do the speakers. All in all, a very positive experience and I'll be calling John again for any electrical work.
John was exceptional! Had a problem with lighting in my kitchen/dining area & John had the problem solved within minutes. He returned my call promptly; was pretty much right on time for our appointment & cleaned up when he was finished. Will highly recommend him to my friends and neighbors.

I was fortunate to get to spend a couple of days with John as he worked on various lighting projects in our home. He was so pleasant to have around the house that my family was a bit sad when he finished the work...Luckily, we got a few more projects that John can help us with soon enough. John's a great electrician and extremely reasonable with him estimates and pricing. We had him hang some light fixtures and put in track lighting and everything works and looks great. I highly highly recommend him and look forward to seeing his jovial self very soon.

John installed an external outlet in my house today and he did an excellent job and a very reasonable price. He is very knowledgeable with what he does and very clean after his work. So I would highly recommend John for electrical issues in your house and I am already having another project for him.
Just used John for attic fan replacement and he did a great job. Returned initial call quickly and was able to do job within a week. He actually had to delay work by a day which I could have been angry about but he put the Emergency call (which was really bad) first. Good to know as a client! Very reasonable for the work done. Will use again.

I called John to fix our building's intercom system and he was brilliant. He knew what the issue was right away and gave us accurate estimate on parts. He even checked our outdoor sensor lights and roof for free, which have some issues he discovered. Great experience and a very polite and knowledgable man. No inspection costs, no visit charges, and no drama! Thanks, John!
I came home to a partial power outage; some low-power devices were working, my lights were dim, but no electrically demanding units were operating. I called John's number and was actually able to speak to him within a few rings. I explained the situation and he very patiently and pleasantly explained that the issue was probably with ComEd--instead of coming out and charging me for nothing, he honestly explained that in his experience, the best thing to do would be to call ComEd's emergency line and get a technician out there asap to check their lines. I did so, and ComEd actually confirmed the problem was on their end and would be remedied shortly. In addition to that, John assured me he would come out later the same day if, in fact, ComEd were unable to remedy the issue. I am EXTREMELY impressed with John's demeanor, honesty, and professionalism. I will absolutely refer to him for all future electrical needs. Thank you for being such a good guy.
