Let me just preface this by saying that I'm rather handy myself and do most of the repairs for plumbing fixtures in the house. I'm not a professional by any means but to date it had worked out fine for me... and then our toilet started leaking and the laundry faucet was leaking and I was tired from work and other things so I finally told my husband, let's hire a professional. That's when we did some research and came across JR Service and Repair on Yelp and decided to give him a call. Boy am I happy we did, and in a minute you'll find out why.

Firstly, JR was really professional and knows his stuff. Over several days of trying to figure out a schedule that worked, JR accommodated our schedules and came in the late afternoon to do the repairs. Can I tell you how relieved I was that I didn't have to carve out time from my work day to be home for these repairs to be done? It's so nice to be able to come home from work and not stress out about taking time off.

Secondly, he came in, checked everything and got to work. Our toilet was running. I knew that it was likely because of how the actual fixture wiggled but I didn't know that the supply line also had a leak. Well, JR did and he not only repaired both issues and replaced the toilet bowl bolts, he cleaned up and caulked the base of the toilet. I've worked with plumbers in my day job who aren't that thorough so it was a breath of fresh air to see someone  really attend to the little details like that. To add to this, I probably wouldn't have caught the leaky supply line if I had replaced the toilet bolts and wax gasket myself and it might have burst and made a real issue so I'm SO thankful I hired a professional like JR Service and Repair to do this work.

Now on to the laundry sink. The faucet has had a slow leak for months now and he went in and fixed the internals of the faucet, saving me money not having to purchase a whole new faucet which was wonderful. THEN he asks if I knew the pipe into the wall was broken. Well no I had NO idea and if I had replaced the sink faucet myself, I might have never caught that. I noticed water on the floor of the room on the opposite side of the wall but always thought it was due to the washing machine leak that we used to have but since we just replaced the washer, I was surprised to see some dampness the other day. Well now we know why!

Bottom line, you need a plumber, hire JR Service & Repair. It was worth the money to have a real professional come out. He saved me probably thousands of dollars fixing the unforeseen issues in both repairs because I know I wouldn't have caught them and they both had potential to be really costly issues if they weren't caught when they were.

Hiring JR Service & Repair was the best decision I made. I'm about to call him to replace our kitchen faucet soon.

Johnny gave me excellent service and workmanship.  My old water heat was a solar hook up that no longer existed.  I had switches for pumps, gauges for reads the works.  JR Service & Repair not only installed my new water heater but took out the old switches and gauges that no longer was need.  He is the best!  Very happy and it is really great to have my hot water back.

Johnny is a life saver! On my wife's birthday the kitchen sink began to overflow due to drainage problems from our building. He came over and took care of it at after hours and saved the night. Can't thank him enough!

This evening we had an emergency w leakage under the sink. Originally we called another plumber but no one could come till the next morning. Called J R Service and left a msg, Johnny promptly called back and came within 10 minutes. He did an excellent job fixing and changing parts-couldn't believe how fast and efficient and reasonable. This review is about 3 months late but still, I can't stop raving about Johnny. My wife and I were headed out on a trip on Memorial Day when the toilets started acting up. I thought that I would call a plumber and either diagnose the problem over the phone or at least schedule an appointment upon our return.  Johnny was the only person that answered on that holiday and was also willing to come to my house that afternoon after spending time with his family at the beach.  I was impressed by that.

My issues dealt with an old sewer drain that had years of neglect from the previous owner.  To make matters worse, we had no idea about the drainage layout or where the clean out was.  Johnny spent about 2+ hrs searching for the clean out and snaked the main house drain 2 times.  When he was done, he used a camera to scope the inside of the cast iron pipe to get an idea of the condition.  At the end of it all, Johnny's pricing was very reasonable and fair for the work he performed. I was expecting higher but was very surprised.

Johnny is way cool.  He's dependable, thorough, meticulous in his work, and very easy going.  I recommend him with no reservations to anyone needing plumbing work.  Read all of the reviews about him and you'll see the same pattern from all of us happy customers that have used his services.

Johnny is the best....we've called him several times over the years and he's always been able to come the same day for our emergency repairs.  No one wants to ever have to call a plumber, but when you have to....call Johnny!  He's very thorough, respectful of your home (yes...plumbing is nasty but he keeps it clean), and he also gives advice on how to prevent the same problems from occurring again.  Thank you, Johnny, for always coming to our rescue!

Johnny provided us with excellent service. He came to snake our drain well into the evening and charged us an incredibly reasonable amount. Very kind, helpful and knowledgable.

I don't trust anyone else.  If Johnny is busy, I wait.  He doesn't cut corners; uses the materials he says he will; is always honest and straightforward; and does excellent work.

Johnny was excellent all around. Responded to emergency quickly, diagnosed problem, and fixed it efficiently. Came back later in the week with Andy for more substantive repairs, and they both communicated excellently, did what they said when they said, and did a great job.

Another job well done.  This time on our kitchen sink.  Unclogged drain, replaced a section of drain line, replaced sink strainer and drain pipe to disposer and replaced hot/cold shut off valves.  Very clean installation.  Thank you Johnny and JR Service and Repair

Had a clogged shower drain that I couldn't unclog by augering it myself. Looked up plumbers on Yelp and after contacting a few with no answer, I tried JR's. Johnny picked up and said he could make it that day (Sunday).  

He came as promised and promptly unclogged the drain. He even gave me tips on how I could fix it if it should happen again.  Awesome.

Found out he could do my mother's shower remodel too!  Overall, I would definitely use them again.

We had a washer drain overflow.  Our first plumber couldn't fix the problem after working about 4 hours.  This morning Johnny from JR Service & Repair came and fix the problem in no time.  I was utterly dumbfounded how fast he was able to fix it.  He is very dependable, courteous and respectful.  I am so glad that Scott Suzui of Tenkaippin referred him to us.  If you need any plumbing job, call Johnny.

Johnny and his crew is the best... We had a water line leak and our heater was no good. They re piped up into the attic (we have a older house)  and then they replaced the heater. All these problems, It only took them couple hours and DONE! JR did a fast and clean job!

Needed to replace some old toilets and replace a leaking mixer valve in the garage. Johnny was very helpful, he even recommended which one to buy and where it was on sale!  He showed up on time, was very thorough in his explanation, didn't waste time, showed me what was done and left the place clean! Totally professional!!
