DO NOT USE THIS PLUMBING COMPANY. THEY PRICE GAUGE, AND DO NOT PROVIDE AN ACCURATE BREAKDOWN OF LABOR AND MATERIAL COST. I WAS HUNG UP ON AFTER REQUESTING FOR A DETAILED RECEIPT FOR MY RECORDS.
If I could give zero, then i would. I have used this company on three different occasions. On this occasion, I had an issue with the shut-off valve on the exterior of my house, it was leaking and was causing my water bill to increase.. I had them give me an estimate, and they gave me a quote at 850.00. Not sure what the going rate was, and since being told by the individual that it would take at least half of a day and would require two individuals, I thought it sounds reasonable. Two days later they show up, and mind you, 1 hour early from the schedule time at 8 am, without notifying me in advance. After interrupting my breakfast they began working after getting my blessing. After about 2.5 hours the individual knocks on my door and asked for payment. I ablidged, and paid the individual in full. I found it strange that they were completed so early, and that the individual request he show me the work to explain what was done.
The problem arises when my wife sees the email of the receipt. I assumed that it would have a break down of the cost of materials and labor, but my wife explained otherwise. I called the number they gave me to request a more detailed receipt, but was greeted by a bewildered woman by the name of andrea. I asked her if there was anyway i could get a more detailed receipt with the break down, and she gave a long awkward pause, and began mumbling that the price includes all of those things. I explained that I understand, but that I wanted to see what I was charged for labor and materials. She placed me on hold, and after 5 minutes said, that she would have to have her boss call back with the break down because he was on the phone. I politely said that is fine, and that I would call back in 20 minutes. She chuckled and said that you could call, but that it would take probably longer than that.
At this point, I begin to get a little perturbed feeling as if she is just trying to get me off the phone. I figured that they must just give general pricing on a case by case basis, and that they needed time to actually figure out how to break everything down to sound reasonable. I found this to be disingenuous, and told her that I feel a little disrespected with the fact that I was charged $850 for 2.5 hours of work and some PVC pipe. I was adamant in the fact that at lowes those materials do not cost anywhere in the ball park of 500 dollars for 15 feet of PVC pipe.
After my response she started to talk over me and raise her voice explaining that they usually charge a flat rate. I broke it down further to say that even if I paid 100 an hr for labor it would mean the materials cost $550 dollars. She explained that they charge more than 50 dollars an hour for each plumber ( oblivious to the fact that only 1 plumber was dirty and sweaty, and that the other one was there to- what I believe- up charge me). After she became fustrated she began yelling, sir why are you talking that way to me. I replied I am talking normal. She then decided to HANG UP ON ME. I called back, and was greeted by the same woman. I told her that I just wanted a break down of what the cost were, and that he handling of me as a paying customer was completely unacceptable. I let her know that I would be reviewing their company on every major website and reporting them to the better business bureau. I then politely told her that I would never use their services or recommend them because they do not respect or appreciate re-occurring customers.
