Shamrock Plumbing & Drain Cleaning, Inc. has been in operation for the last few years servicing the central Florida area in residential and commercial installations and repair. Our experience ranges from small repairs and installation in residential homes to large repairs and installations on commercial properties, we clean and repair sewer lines and have the equipment for jet cleaning sewer lines and video camera of the sewer lines to check for any breaks and roots in the sewer line. We locate and repair slab and wall leaks and also have the electronic equipment to find leaks with our state of the art leak detector. We can Repipe homes and offices, repair and replace hot water heaters, laundry sinks, kitchen sinks, lav sinks and tubs and all types of faucets. We work on single story homes, apartments, condominiums and office buildings. We have a 24 hour emergency service and we always have at least one technician on call at all times.
ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER
I have been in the plumbing industry for about thirty five years. I started my apprenticeship in Ireland which took four years working alongside my mentor and attending D.I.T (Dublin Institute of Technology). I completed the full 4 year course and was awarded my plumbing certificate. I continued to work as a plumber and an operations managers for an appliance company training installers and running the day to day workings of the company. I moved to the United States in 1999 where I continued in the plumbing trade. I worked for a couple of companies in Orlando and then took my certified plumbing contractor exam.
After passing the state test I started Shamrock Plumbing where we have been serving the wonderful people for central Florida ever since.

Thanks to Shamrock Plumbing, we saved $15k after we were told we needed new pipes and it turned out we didn't! After further inspection with a camera, our pipes were fine! We just had roots that needed to be removed. The owner Mark was very professional, honest, and informative. The service manager Jason and his helper was also great during the time of service. I called on a Thursday, inspection scheduled for the next day, and service completed on Monday! We couldn't be happier with the service we received, great quality work. From now on, Shamrock Plumbing will be who we call for all of our plumbing needs.
My house had 2 serious plumbing issues. Shamrock did an amazing professional job twice. I've dealt with plumbing company for years in my job. I can honestly say dealing with this company has been a pleasure. They may not be as big as others, but they have technology, capabilities and products others wish they had. The complete re pipe of my home was flawless. The water jetting of my main saved me a lot of money. I highly recommend Shamrock without hesitation..Well done!

I called to have a 40 gallon gas hot water heater replaced. The girl on the phone quoted me a price of over $1300 for a new tank and labor to install it. There was also a permit fee of $150 on top of the $1300. I ended up doing it myself with a buddy and was out a total of $900. It also took less than an hour to replace. I was told by the girl on the phone that the labor was $600.
Alva was very helpful when our toilet overflowed and there was significant floor damage. He waited for serve pro to show up who was trying to make us pay for more than we needed .shamrock has a better water damage company that they deal with. He made sure we got only what we needed from insurance. Took care of our plumbing . Very nice family owned business that cares about their customers.
We just moved into a new home and had a few small plumbing issues including some slow-going drains so we used Shamrock Plumbing. Levi was our plumber and he was efficient and professional, dealing with the drain issue easily and answering the other plumbing questions we had. We will definitely use them for future needs.
Shamrock was extremely difficult to work with, consistently late on their promises, wildly inconsiderate of our time, and they left a giant hole in the floor for several weeks of the holiday season along with a huge pile of dirt on our laminate floor- leading to a whole lot of sneezing up concrete dust. An expensive piece of our plywood was ruined because they didn't bring anything to cover the hole (which apparently was a tripping hazard they couldn't leave open). The dirt being left has also caused our laminate floors to be incredibly scuffed - irreparably damaged. I ended up having to sweep/shovel all the dirt up myself so we could access the other half of our house without trekking through it and to keep our dogs out of it. The cement they ended up putting down is also not at all level which makes it difficult to restore the flooring properly. While Don himself wasn't so difficult to work with, zero consideration was taken with the extensive damage caused to our house and the impact of the mess on our home and lives. It seems like they have good corporate reviews, but I'd absolutely never recommend them for small jobs like this. They didn't take us seriously at all and consistently gave us the run around about failed expectations. They also said they'd work on the price taking into account the multiple issues and delays, then never actually called when they said they would and ended up not working on the price at all other than waving a measly credit card fee. Shamrock pitches themselves as being by the book - no cutting corners and things done right. At the end of the day the quality of the job doesn't reflect this at all and the constant permitting snafus certainly didn't seem professional. In the end I don't believe this job would be done to date if we hadn't consistently had to bother them for updates. If you're looking for timely, quality work, I can't say that I would expect that from Shamrock. They do have great hold music though - we listened to a lot of it.
As an office manager and having difficulties getting help, they were awesome and fixed our problems right away!

These folks are real pro's! Used them for whole house repiping and they gave us quick response to our inquiry, comprehensive and competitive estimate and accommodated our needs around scheduling. Handled everything for us with permit and drywall repairs. On site crew was knowledgeable, efficient, and explained everything thoroughly. Friendly and considerate. Highly recommend!!
Shamrock repiped my 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house in one day and repaired the drywall in another. Both jobs exceeded my expectations. I had a minor issue with the dishwasher line which Shamrock addressed on the same day I brought it to their attention. I would not hesitate to recommend Shamrock for any plumbing work.

Shout out to Mark for getting in contact with me. It looks like the certified letter sent went to their old address so they were not aware of my issues. Mark made things right and the city now came by and completed inspection for permits. This customer is now satisfied.

Shamrock plumbing did a great job re-plumbing my home. I could not renew my home owners insurance unless I re-plumbed my home. They did the entire job in one day, which included three bathrooms , a laundry room, three additional sinks, hot water heater and three outside water connections. Their price was very fair, the crew was friendly and the guys that did the follow up wall closing did a quality job. The professional job of the entire crew was amazing !
A month later I thought they had cut one of my A/C ducts in the attic during installation because my bill was so high. They came back the next day and checked all the attic for me and assured me their were no broken ducts. It turned out my A/C switch was broken.
I would definitely recommend Shamrock plumbing for a job well done and their customer service follow up.
be careful with these guys. They have no idea what they're doing. they literally cut the support beam in my bathroom. Took 6 weeks to get fixed. The owner actually argued with the inspector. Bad situation, the owner accepted no responsibility saying people make mistakes , really
I called first thing in the morning and were able to schedule a technician for the same morning (this was a Tuesday). The staff (Sebino) was very courteous and were good at explaining the problem. A bit pricier then expected ($147 for replacing a flush valve), but the service was great and it was super efficient. Totally recommend.
Purchased an older home that had polybutylene piping. The old pipe was not
safe to keep so had to have a repipe done. Mark came out and gave us an estimate we had gotten other quotes that varied but we went with Mark. They repiped the whole house in about 6-8 hours and then the next day their drywall folks came out and patched the holes. So far everything working good. We would recommend them for repiping.

Great service. Looked to save me money on fixing my tub faucet by using my parts where able to.
We had a issue with dirty water from our kitchen sink going into our dishwasher. We didn't realize until the water started leaking out of the dishwasher onto our floor :( . Shamrock was able to send someone within 2 hours of my call. The technician Jason came and was very friendly, took his time, and was very thorough in figuring out the problem, fixing it, and testing it. Would definitely use them again.
Absolutely amazing! I called one evening because my toilet got clogged. Because I rent and don't own my condo, they were not able to visit without permission and I couldn't reach anyone from my condo. I asked if the gentleman could help me over the phone and he was incredible! He talked me through it all and I fixed it on my own. He was a lifesaver and truly cared about helping me. Thank you a million times over! 6 stars out of 5!!!
Our toilet clogged on a Sunday and Chris did a great job locating and fixing the recurring issue in our bathroom. He was thorough, courteous, and recommended an extra service for inspecting the drains for more roots after he found some during his snaking of the drain. I would definitely recommend and will use them when we decide to get our drains snaked with a camera.
Did a great Job of replacing our two water heaters with on larger one. The had to move gas, water pipes and also the vent. Took the extra time to insulate the water lines because they went under another vent. In my opinion they went above what the needed to do. Broom swept the area and left it much cleaner than when they got there.

Would definitely use them again and will refer them to anyone that could use their services.
They only do Plumbing and Drain Cleaning and they do it very well.

I am a single woman living on my own for the first time and had a simple clogged toilet that I couldn't seem to fix. The kind man who answered the phone took the time out of his day to teach me the proper way to plunge a toilet over the phone and I was able to fix my problem. A+ I will definitely be using Shamrock when I truly need plumbing repair.
We used Shamrock many years ago and we were incredibly disappointed. We tried to resolve our issues with them but they would not return to our home or accept any responsibility. They installed a new water heater which ended up getting granules and debris stuck in all of our pipes throughout the house. Took years to get the crap out of our pipes...without any response from them. They never got it inspected and turn out it is not to code! Not professional!
DO NOT get work done by this company! I had my house re-plumbed by them and immediately afterwards, I had a leak in my guest bathroom that ended up causing extensive damage to the floors in my master bedroom. When their plumber came out to inspect their workmanship, he confirmed that the issue was caused as a result of the re-pipe.
When the owner came out, he told me that it wasn't their fault and blamed shoddy workmanship from the home builders for a pipe being disconnected. Which is funny, because I had no plumbing issues in my bathroom prior to them coming out and working on my house. Now I'm stuck with a shower I can't use and warped wood floors all through my master bedroom. Save yourself the headache and find a better company to do any major repairs on your home.

Had a great experience with the shoe process The tech came back to install the faucet as I had the incorrect item.
I have a mischievous toddler who flushed a container of toothpaste and a washcloth down the toilet. Shamrock Plumbing was finishing up work in my neighborhood so I asked them to stop by to take a look, offered to pay their minimum fee, and whatever the cost was to repair. So after a long day of work, at quitting time (5pm), they graciously stopped by to take a look. But instead, they went ahead and fixed it for me free of charge. He even tweaked my tank to help it fill faster. I'm in disbelief. There are still good people who do good things out of the kindness of their hearts. He could have justifiably charged me an emergency rate, rush fee, labor, etc. I'm leaving this review because I want everyone to know the integrity and character of this company. I'd have paid double their rate, but instead I'll be telling everyone I know about them. I'm a customer for life... but next time, I'll happily pay and make an appointment.
If you are going to repipe your home, I would recommend hiring another company. I was selling my rental property so I hired Shamrock to repipe my house. The house was unoccupied but was staged by the realtor. When they came to do the drywall, I specifically asked them to text me when they were finished. I explained that I did not want to leave the house unlock. So, they agreed to call me. After 4 hours, I sent a text for an update. They told me they were done and gone. I asked why didn't anyone call me. I received a nasty text back that said: BECAUSE WE ARE DRYWALL GUYS WHO ARE BUSY NOT BABYSITTERS. I notify the owner who did not condemn their behavior or rudeness. He had the audacity to say maybe they read the text in a negative way. I asked him to tell me how else he would have asked the question. However, he did not have an answer. He agreed my question was not rude or inappropriate. He said that texting is a bad way to communicate because you do not see the emotion behind the text. I can say with all certainty that he is part of the problem for justifying and reinforcing this type of attitude. If I could give them a zero I would. Btw it took him longer to type the nasty text, than what it would have taken him to type we done.
Don't call them unless you know for sure that you need work done! They do great work BUT I just had to pay $125 (service call) for them to look at my meter and tell me You don't have a leak! Took about 3 minutes. I think $75 would of been reasonable.
Beyond horrible service from Shamrock. They performed a re-piping and, WHILE they were working, several outlets lost electric. They said they would look into before they left but did not. I had the breaker reset and outlets tested and after several WEEKS of telling them of the problem, they finally sent out an electrician who said he couldn't do anything to repair the damaged electrical wires unless and until the walls are all re-cut open!! That was two weeks ago and still have not sent someone out to cut open the walls for the electrician. This is all after Mark and Tom both threatened my elderly father that they would slap a lien on the house if he did not pay them 100% for the work BEFORE they were even done with the re-piping! Not to mention, the left the bathtub facet is hanging off several inches away from the wall (with surrounding title cracked) and now several of the hot/cold facets are reversed! Honestly shocked they are still in business. I don't ever leave reviews and rarely complain about service but have never been treated so unprofessionally and would NOT recommend them to anyone.
Shamrock repiped our entire house and we were so grateful. The provided an official and efficient quote. And everything was transmitted electronically. They were able to come the next day to complete the work. They provided excellent service and included the drywall repair in their cost. They made a really stressful week without running water so much better.
My fiance and I bought a new home in February that had been repiped by Shamrock plumbing in December of 2020. We ran the dishwasher the first night we moved into the home in February which unfortunately leaked. We purchased a new dishwasher and called Shamrock Plumbing to install the dishwasher as we were pleased with the repiping of the home. RW came out to install the dishwasher, he was prompt, professional, and kept his mask on during the time he was in the home. After pulling out the dishwasher he discovered heavy water damage from not only the dishwasher leak, but a leak from the previous owner that was hidden from us during the sale. Upon further investigation RW said in good conscience he would not install the dishwasher due to the mold intrusion. I agreed and he suggested to call Damage Control 911 for the mold and water mitigation. Obviously this is not what we wanted to hear but the levels of mold were unsafe and RW had our best interest at heart. Jeff with Damage Control 911 came out and took care of the issue, (I will post another review for them, but they did an incredible job). Instead of charging us the full amount for the install RW only charged half then came back after the drywall and studs were removed and I had framed in a cavity for the dishwasher. RW did a great job leveling the dishwasher and in the process explained to me a lot of different things to watch out for with the plumbing to prevent any leaks happening again in our home. For first time home owners this information will I am sure prove to be invaluable and we greatly appreciate the candidness from RW and professionalism. We will be using Shamrock Plumbing for all of our plumbing needs moving forward.
They did plumbing work at the house and totally trashed the place. Bits of plastic piping, drywall and tile pieces, dust from drilling through block, etc. etc. left at every spot in the house they touched. The A/C air filter was so clogged I had to change it 2x after they left. If there was a no stars or negative stars they would get.
Have no care of concern for your house or belongings. Just try to get in and out asap and get your money.
Would never ever use again or recommend to anybody. The job was signed off on by Mark.
Great experience with Shamrock. Very competent. They re-piped our house for a very reasonable price, and FAST. Sent in a team of 4 and they had obviously done this before. Very competent staff in their office - easy communication and scheduling.

Their website says they service Clermont, but the tech I talked to on the phone said they will only go 4 miles from the Turnpike. Very misleading.
We just had a toilet leaking from the bottom that wet our bath mat overnight. The toilet was not overflowing just leaking. Shamrock Plumbing did our re-pipe 10 +/- years ago and it was a great experience so I called them again. They had a plumber out the next day. I recognized him from the re-pipe 10 +/- years ago. Very thorough professional and asked a lot of questions checked everything even septic system before doing any work. I can't imagine why anyone would use any other companies for plumbing work.
had a water softener install on my house. They came out, advised me on what was needed prior to the installation and then explained all the details about the system to me. When they were done, we had a nice water treatment system that looked as good as it works. I couldn't be happier with my experience.

It seemed as though my garbage disposal had died so I purchased a new one at Lowe's and they sent Tom from Shamrock to install it. He took one look at the situation and said that it sounded more like it was jammed rather than a burned out motor. He disassembled the unit and cleaned it out thoroughly and now it's as good as new. Since I had already bought a new unit from Lowe's he had no interest in telling me my old one was fine but now I can return it to Lowe's and save several hundred dollars. It's refreshing to meet such an honest and friendly technician - I'll never call another plumbing company and will be recommending them to everyone I know!
