C T Hardisty Plumbing

I have had plumbing problems before and C T Hardisty Plumbing is simply the best I have worked with. Tom is an honest fellow who does great work and charges fairly. I hope it won't be for a while but I will definitely call them for future plumbing issues.

EXCELLENT and PROMPT service!!! I was highly impressed with Mr. Tom's professionalism and honesty all through. Right from the time I called, till he came to fix my kitchen faucet, he was very professional. Friendly and funny too! In fact, it was the great reviews I read on here that prompted me to reach out to him, and I'm glad I did. After losing a water heater to a tank leak and reading his reviews, I left Tom a late-evening VM and asked him to call me the next day during business hours. He called me promptly, the next morning. I had a large electric heater and was considering a tankless model and possibly a propane version. After a long discussion of the pro, cons and costs, I decided to stick with an electric tank model. He gave me a quote and then said he'd sit on it for an hour or two while I compare other offers. I suspect he knew I'd end up choosing him. He showed up that afternoon and the job was done professionally in about 2-3 hours. He is my new permanent plumber. I can't recommend him strongly enough.

Today Tom came by to hook up a bunch of plumbing in my house after a kitchen renovation. He reviewed what I wanted done and gave me an estimate before he started any work. I asked his advice on one optional job. We discussed the pros and cons of doing it and was fine when I decided against it. He did not try to upsell me at all - where he easily could have.  Tom completed the rest of the work quickly and was extremely careful in my new kitchen. He faced a few hurdles and handled them all easily and professionally. Tom is what everyone is looking for in a contractor - trustworthy, transparent and efficient. I would use him on my next job without hesitation.

Tom is a skilled plumber. I had several plumbing tasks to be accomplished. He took care of all of them with great efficiency. He's friendly , honest and explains everything so I can understand it. He was great about letting me know what time he would arrive. I had a time contingency which he was sensitive to. I would recommend Hardisty Plumbing to everyone. I will definitely call them for future plumbing needs!

I tried, but was unable to replace my sink faucet because the nozzle was broken.  Tom came to the house, assessed the situation and suggested that the broken part could either be accessed for free from the manufacturer or for $20 from Home Depot.  Instead of replacing the faucet for over $100, he gave us great information and charged us $20 for the trip.  Tom is good at his job and honest.  What more can you ask?

Well I found my plumber for the next 100 years.  Tom (sorry I called you John) was excellent.  Best experience with a plumber yet.  Was running a little late and texted me to let me know them showed up exactly on time for revised time.  I'm so used to a four hour windows, 30 minutes was nothing to me.  He was fast and efficient and dealt with the problem without trying to upsell me more expensive routes.  If you need a plumber, give him a call....although part of me wishes you don't so he's always available when I pretend like I'm a plumber....

First Yelp review! 2nd time dealing with CT Hardisty.  First time was just on the phone, where he walked me through some troubleshooting and avoided having him come out at all.  Second time was for multiple water stains on my ceiling.  What we both thought was going to be simple pinhole leaks in the pipes turned into something more complicated.  Tom worked really hard to figure out the best (most minimal but effective) solution to the problems.  He explained the worst case scenario but fortunately it was avoided.  Throughout his time there, as things kept getting more complicated, my mental calculator kept going up and up.  When the job was completed, I held my breath but was totally relieved to see a very, very reasonable final bill.  As an aside, he tried his best to leave minimal mess and was very good at cleaning up after himself.  Highly recommend and will use again!

My husband called Tom because we had an issue with discolored hot water in the house.  Tom was on vacation but he promptly called back and left a very detailed message about what the causes might be and things to try before calling a plumber to look at the issue.  His suggestions worked and the issue cleared after doing one of his suggestions to empty the hot water heater by running the tub water for about 10-15 minutes.  What he did was very professional and proves to me that he is an honest plumber and we will be calling him if we need any kind of plumbing work in the house.  Thank you Tom!

While in the process of getting a washer installed, I found out that my water valves needed replacement.  I called Tom (referred to me by the neighborhoood listserv) who was able to stop by right away and fixed the problem within 30 minutes.  Tom is skilled, professional, and extremely efficient. I HIGHLY recommend him for any plumbing services!

Second plumbing crisis and of course Tom was there to save the day, again. Simply the best plumber.

Has made two attempts to fix a leaky faucet without success. Replaced the washer on cold and hot handles but it still leaks from the handle! Trying to get it serviced one last time with this company.  Not responding back to me at this point. Very frustrating.

I have twice used Tom for home plumbing needs and have been impressed both times. He was able to fix the problems easily and even used some supplies and parts I had on-hand to keep the cost down. I know for fact he could have easily made the work more timely and expensive but he was able to fix them with the least expense but still did the work properly and proficiently.

He was on-time, very conscientious to work neatly and cleaned thoroughly when done, called 30 minutes ahead as promised, professional, reasonable and HONEST.

I've had some bad experience with plumbers, this was not one of them.

After being twice ignored by the heavily advertised guys, Mr. Hardisty came to the rescue. He is not only the best plumber I have dealt with, he is simply the best serviceman I have ever dealt with. A real pro . . .

I have used Tom Hardisty several times now for a plumbing emergency and then for general maintenance. I have finally found my Go To plumber, and I am relieved knowing I have Tom to call. He is extremely honest and charges very fair prices, unlike those big plumbing companies who send out plumbers with half the knowledge and skill set of Tom.

During my plumbing emergency (washing machine valve burst), Tom called me right back and walked me through how to get the situation under control (which enabled my water to be turned back on:). He didn't even know me yet. He fixed that plumbing problem and since then I have had Tom do many plumbing projects for me like: 1) replace garbage disposal 2) add water pressure valve to home as mine was dangerously high 3) install new faucet 4) change all toilet tank bolts and gaskets 5) replace fill valve/guts for two toilets.

It's really hard to find an ethical plumber who takes such pride in his work and makes sure he does right by his clients. Example, I said to Tom recently when he was working in my home that I will probably need a new hot water heater soon. He took a look and said no you won't; you shouldn't need a new hot water heater for a few years.

Tom is a gem! So glad I found a reliable honest plumber.  He was timely with his response to my initial call, made time for an appointment for me right away, and was pretty much right on with his initial estimate.  Most of all I appreciate his being upfront about there work he would perform, and clearly very knowledgeable!

Friendly, professional, efficient and punctual. Tom was great to work with and we are very happy with the work he did on our house. It was a big job (main sewage line repair) and he even took care of a few other small things while he was here. And the final total was within the original estimate. Very highly recommend!

Very fast and efficient service. Called, sent him pics of the problem and within three hours of calling, it was repaired. I would use Hardisty Plumbing again.

I called Tom Hardisty for a pin hole leak on my main copper pipe and he showed up in 2 days to fix the leak. I also asked Tom to fix the high water pressure in the house by replacing an old pressure regulator and leaky toilet. He did an awesome job and I now have a trustworthy plumber in my address book. I forgot to mentioned that Tom was recommended by my neighbor friend.

I had a toilet stop up...normally I fix small jobs like this.  However, after trying baking soda and vinegar, which usually works, plunging multiple times over a day and a half, I knew it was time to find a professional plumber.  I checked Yelp and found great reviews under Plumbing for:

Mr. Hardisty was going to be working in my area and came to look at my toilet the same day!  Mr. Hardisty is professional, knows his craft and was able to diagnose and fix the problem!

He determined it was blockage from toilet tissue. Within an hour he repaired the toilet.  He checked the other toilets in my home and found one tank was not filling to capacity.  I had placed the the small, thin hose carrying water to refill the tank, into the plastic overflow 'pipe'.  He also replaced a toilet flapper, which wasn't seated correctly due to 'bumps' on the ring portion. He showed me this while explaining what was wrong

I highly recommend Mr. Hardisty!  It was a pleasure to meet him.  He was thorough and his rate for this job was definitely fair and reasonable.
