Bill Leech started his career in HVAC in 1980, where he began learning custom HVAC lay out.  After 3 years, Bill went to work for Good News Heating & A/C.  It was at Good News where Bill perfected his skills as a shop man as well as custom lay out of fittings and duct work.  Bill continued on to become a commercial foreman, running several jobs from smaller tenant finish projects all the way up to schools and water treatment plants.  Thanks to Good News Heating for helping to develop his leadership skills, he and Dean Peterson fulfilled a lifelong dream of opening their own business by co-founding Summit Heating & A/C in 1998.

I had a friend recommend Summit to me and I've very thankful he did.

I had Luis come out and for an estimate for heatpump and mini-splits. He did a great job listening to my desires and determining the equipment I needed to keep my upstairs bedrooms cool. I had a quote from another company and Summit's was better and they are eligible for the Xcel and Denver rebates. I got the work done last week and Luis was communicative throughout the process and following up to make sure things were done well.

I had to have some electrical work done to support the heatpump and the electricians Hector and Mike did a really great job (functional and aesthetic) installing a new subpanel and conduit to support the system. They made a point to make sure I understood what they were going to do and answer questions.

Vincent and Frank were my installers. They did an AMAZING job, I never would have guessed it would look as good as it does before they started. The external line-hides look really good. They made a point to seal up everything very well. I got a ceiling cassette and two wall-mount mini-splits, they all look and function perfect. Vincent and Frank were super professional, communicative, and they left my rooms and yard cleaner than they were before they started.

Deanna is going out of her way in helping me with the rebates!

Called and set an appointment with them. 15 minutes before they are supposed to arrive, they call my husband (who was on another call) and leave a message saying they won't be coming. No explanation given or call back to reschedule. We both tried calling the number they called from as well as the business number in the email confirmation (which were different numbers) and neither one went through. STAY AWAY. Now we have to find someone else to do the work, and our toilet remains unusable.

Update- the owner called to explain that the call was just to say that they were going to be late. However, the message that was left by the receptionist was that the plumber was UNABLE TO COME DUE TO AN ISSUE. The owner then tried to blame us for a miscommunication. He also explained that their phone system was down, yet my husband and I both tried to call within minutes of receiving their message (so it was working then). The owner seemed more concerned about my Yelp review and ended the call with telling me he was going to work with Yelp to get the review removed. Great customer service, and likely why they have so many positive reviews. Apparently the honest ones get taken down.

Working with Summit was a great experience. The quality of their work is the best we have seen, hands down. They are down to earth, friendly but professional, very knowledgable, and competent unlike many other contractors we have dealt with in the past. They arrive on time and the overall work looks clean and amazing when finished. They care about what they leave behind.

The project lead, Amado, was wonderful to work with. He answered all of our questions and kept us abreast of everything that was going on. We are extremely fussy but after the first day we realized we were in good hands. The stress levels dropped immediately.

We highly recommend Summit and we cannot say enough good things about them.

Had used summit several years ago no problems.  Called them again and left message with service.  Afternoon comes no call back.  Turns out they no.longer service modular homes. I am in a senior retirement community.  Rather than call me back and letting me know to find another company they ghosted me leaving me in the heat. So sad and depressing no one cares about us seniors

I hired Summit Heating & A/C to replace some vents in my basement.  They responded quickly and setting up a appointment for an estimate was quick and easy.  I liked the price they quoted and they got the job completed in less than a hour.  Jacob, the technician who did the install, was great and the work was top notch.  Definitely a company I'd do business with again in the future

Excellent service from sales to install.  I am going all-in on electric and heat pumps, and am interested in mini-split systems as well as using the new Denver climate action rebates.  The mini-split solutions are flexible but complex, with a wide variety of configurations to support heating and cooling different zones, but Jeremy was interested and engaged (so many firms just want to replace your natural gas furnace and traditional AC). He came up with clever ideas that I hadn't thought of, and was open to listening to my ideas to come up with a solution.  I was sold!  

When it came time to install it took only a day and the electrician, Eloy, did a great job sorting out our panel and working with me to find the most unobtrusive route for the new power lines.  Vincent and Frank were professional installing the unit--they were neat and had everything wrapped up by 5:00.  After that Casi and Deanna in the home office took care of registering my warranty with the manufacturer, filling out the forms for the rebates with Xcel and the city, and scheduling my inspection.

All along the way everyone was communicative and receptive to my input and the price was the best I found to boot.  Great job!

Got an AC with them. Things did not go well with them from the start. Started with a 3 hour information on AC, the sales guy just wouldn't leave. After installed took them so long to email me a inspection certificate it was already October(AC was installed earlier in summer). Then covid happened. Finally got AC inspected. Recently noticed that the U shaped drain pipe leaked.

Called them on a weekend, backup support took the information and never called back. Called them a week later and they said they will have to come over for $99 diagnostic fee? I told them it's a simple case of drainage pipe work not done right. They won't stand by their work and said sorry there is no way around this fee. Then gave me an incorrect email address that gave a failed email notification.
Your message wasn't delivered to [email protected] because the address couldn't be found, or is unable to receive mail.

Precision maybe expensive but my husband used them for his property and they always stand by their work. Come to you the same day and don't charge it it's an issue with their work.... Even years later.

We needed some work on our furnace because we are selling our house and need to get it all fixed up.  Jason is an excellent technician and really goes above and beyond with his service.  He teaches you about what needs fixing and why, which I really appreciate knowing.  Very professional and they get the work done quickly and clean up behind themselves as well. I would highly recommended Summit heating & A/C.

Summit accommodated an unusual request when none of the other contractors would. The technicians  were semi-punctual, professional, and personable.

The two-man crew showed up  half an hour early - when I was in the shower. They had been given a different window than I  had been given.

Communication and clarity are everything.

Elected to get rid of my 29-year-old furnace and A/C.  Shayne came out and made a thorough review of my house, its square footage and existing system.  He laid out and we discussed several options.  I made my choice and my system was installed one week later.

We've been using Summit for our Heat and Central air for years now. We ended up having a plumbing issue, and we were so relieved when we found out they now offer plumbing services.

Carlos B. Came out, and just when I didn't think their service could be any better, he blew it out of the water. Carlos was professional, and provided great insight. I am so thankful to have a one stop shop for my household maintenance issues. 10/10 would HIGHLY recommend.

We had them do our furnace and AC back in November and it seemed good at first but we had to have them come out multiple times due to the AC unit being DOA but took multiple calls for me to get that scheduled when I was told I'd hear back the next day. So two weeks after I was told I'd hear we finally get it scheduled then when it got installed they never connected the condensate so water did get all over the basement and they tripped the garage and back patio power and when I called to get some help to fix that I was told I'd hear back right then and no one ever called me. They had to send out a crew the next week to check everything one more time since there were so many misses. This seems like it would meet their 100% right or 100% free claim on the website or at least just some compensation back but after a week of waiting to hear on that, we were told we will get nothing.  Just wasn't worth the headache and lack of communication.

It was freezing in our house yesterday because the heating failed (about 25 degrees outside). I called Summit and Jake came out within a few hours. Jake fixed the heating and also tuned it up. The gas regulator had the wrong pressure for our elevation. We will be using Summit going forward for all our HVAC, electrical, and plumbing needs.

Our Nest alerted us that our furnace wasn't working when we were out of town on a 7 degree morning!  Summit Heating answered the phone at 6:30 am and had a technician on-site by 8:00 am!!  Jacob Todd, our technician, did an OUTSTANDING job troubleshooting and repairing our furnace.  His communication was great and he had it running again in about an hour.

I highly recommend Summit Heating & A/C and specifically Jacob Todd!!

Had Jeremy out to quote an AC/furnace replacement.  Selected Summit over two other companies.
Jack and Sky did the demo and install with help from Apollo.  Eloy did the electrical work.  Fantastic teamwork and great result.  We love our AC, and the team did extremely good work.  No complaints at all.  They left the worksite clean, and treated out home with respect.  They were prompt, hardworking and very professional.  I will select Summit for future work.

Anthony came out and replaced our water heater, some piping, and some gas piping. Got out quick for the estimate, and shortly after for the install. Was really nice, professional, and fairly priced. We'll be calling him anytime we need anything in the future, and are using another branch or summit for some HVAC work (which Anthony has knowledge on and offered us initial guidance). Thank you!!!

Fixed the broken ball valve for my outdoor sprinkler system, and replaced the pipes to and from the valve.  Gave me some advice on how to best confirm that all water is removed from the outside pipes to prevent this from happening again.  They did a great job with no issues

No way to know whether the installation would have been good.  I only know that the sales tactics & pricing from Donny did not sit well with me.
Perhaps Jeremy would have been better.

Also, don't buy a Carrier brand furnace.  Without work arounds, fan only mode can only run at maximum of 30% of blower capacity.  What if you want to blow the house out after painting, kitchen fire, use of solvents, or just to cool place down on a summer evening ?

We had been having problems with our furnace and called our usual company for an estimate. After finding out it will cost $1,100 to fix, we decided to get a second opinion. I found Summit on Yelp, read their reviews and decided to call them.
Someone came out the very next morning and diagnosed the problem and it only cost $240 to fix. Our furnace is now running smoothly and I'm glad we chose to get a second opinion. Thank you Craig at Summit for your help!

Our baseboard heating system - original to our 60+ year old house - had gotten air in the pipes and was not running smoothly.  The Summit boiler technician inspected the system and offered several optional items that he thought would improve its operation, some of which were upgraded parts and some that were maintenance.  He explained how and why each step could improve things.  We authorized the work, and it was completed within a week.  Better yet, it got the system running smoothly again.  At no time did we feel any pressure to authorize the work, but we are glad that we did.  We'll look to Summit for our HVAC needs from now on.

We got a mini split installed with them, we were quoted a week for install, then when nobody showed up on the Monday as scheduled, they said installation would now only take four days. In the end it took 2.5 weeks of work over the course of a month for installation. This was compounded by one of their workers unrelatedly becoming injured and catching COVID. We weren't informed about the injury nor someone could've been inside our house with COVID until a few days of nobody showing up to complete the work. My parter and I caught COVID a few days later which may or may not have been related. We were offered a 10% concession to continue the installation due to installation issues that I have brought up repeatedly and never received. We are also still waiting for the (paid) Kumo Cloud boards, installation of our concrete slab and inspection of our AC unit for nearly a year. Despite being told we're on the Kumo Cloud list, we've received zero updates on the availability. Everyone who was in our house doing the installation and sales was wonderful and kind. Management and JT who I believe was the general manager has made empty promises and should not be trusted.

Ruben is great. Professional and personable. He came out for a furnace inspection and was very thorough inspecting all of the components outlining and showing me what needed to be done and what could wait or should be considered down the line to prepare for and why. He took photos of the before and after, provided an estimate to make informed decisions and got in touch with the project manager to come out to assess plans for future work. I highly recommend them and I'll be sure to ask for Ruben in future appointments. Thank you Ruben for easing my mind of these concerns and for doing an awesome job as a whole.

My wife is on oxygen  a/c went out. I needed help   She called these people I'm her husband and caretaker   We are in late 70's  . These people have a game going on for elderly people. It's called a rip off. Yes they are skilled at furnace repair that why you see the good marks .... but don't be elderly and can't keep up with their fast moves , their 10 dollar parts they charge 225 to install, their super fast , sign this iPad , before the next move . Slick.   Super slick. I asked to help me , to let me bring them the screwed on 10 capacitor and adjust bill. Mine wasn't bad come to find out after he left

Oh no. Deanaavcounting  is a fast talker. Obviously , Used to these complaints.  Nothing.   Reuben the repairman good at job but slick too. This company is the Olympics. They hide their bad marks somewhere. And their good marks  are because the repairmen are good   But the elderly rip-off , I couldn't be the first

When it came time to begin replacing aging systems at our house my research soon focused on Summit Heating & A/C as the preferred company to work with. Recently I discovered, to my surprise, that our water heater was 21 years old. No problems with it, but it was a problem waiting to happen. I reached out to Summit for an estimate for replacement and was lucky enough to be connected with Carlos Barbosa for the process. Carlos did an assessment of the old water heater and then made his suggestions for a replacement. When it came time for the new water heater, Carlo did a terrific job of removing the old and installing the new water heater up to code. He was very thorough, explaining the process clearly, did an excellent job of protecting the house during the installation, and cleaned up thoroughly at the finish of the job. Carlos's work for us reaffirmed my decision to work with Summit. Thanks Carlos.

We had a very challenging installation of a mini split heat pump/AC system in our quad level home. The technicians from Summit were consummate professionals throughout the process. They consulted us at every step with options to reduce noise of operation and disruption of aesthetIcs inside and outside our home. It took longer than expected, but the final results could not have been better. We have a cool, comfortable home that can be adjusted room by room for everyone's preference. We were particularly impressed with the knowledge and professionalism of Amado and Gavin, ask for them to lead the job at your home.

Called these guys to do maintenance on our furnace and a/c. They did a great job and told me how to save money on the maintenance in the future. They came again early in the morning next day to repair an a/c issue, so we wouldn't be so hot. The repairman was very knowledgeable and personable. I'll hire them again.

Highly recommend.  We used Summit to replace the furnace, air conditioning and water heater. Everything from the quoting process through install was very smooth - especially considering I live out of state and had tenants in the home they worked on.  The team was professional throughout, and was very happy with the work.

Summit's people are great.  We have a multi-level house, which made it difficult to run the AC lines between different areas.  Amado and Gavin worked very hard to get our installation right.  They are resourceful and determined.  Our AC is working and is a big improvement over the swamp cooler we used to use.  Cannot recommend these guys highly enough.

Website explicitly states that they offer free estimates. They however required a $50 service charge to come out and give a quote and refused to give any type of estimated range for the service. Would not recommend.

Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience with Summit.  Noticing there was a lot of cottonwood built up on my AC unit, I called Summit to ask how much to clean it. I was told $99.95 flat rate. When the person came here, they took it apart, cleaned it and then charged me $285. It was $100 to open and examine it. And $185 to clean it. That's not what I was told on the phone. The technician was excellent and friendly.

I also used Summit plumbing. The plumber was also good, but all the prices were very high. I've since spoken to two local plumbers and was told the same thing. The work was good, but the prices were on the high side.

Feeling unsatisfied, I didn't want to just leave a negative review. So first I wrote them an email to give them a chance to respond. I got an email right back saying: I have forwarded your email to our GM and someone will get back to you. I'm still waiting.

Edit: The Business Manager's response is either not telling the truth or he's calling the wrong number. I have received zero responses to my complaint. They were successful in getting in touch with me up until now.

Either these guys are totally unprofessional or they tried to scam me but they basically told me my compressor died and I'm better off replacing the whole unit which they quoted at $5000 and then raised to $6000 the next day (though nothing had changed since the first quote). I ended up calling another company that came and fixed the AC for $350 and it's running great ever since.

Update: I got the reply from the Summit Cooling GM (below) and a phone call as well. I do believe after the call that this was an unfortunate case of mis-diagnosis and I'm happy that Summit takes feedback seriously and appreciate the GM taking the time to personally address this issue.

Had Summit install a Mitsubishi Hyper Heat mini split unit in a converted single car garage.  The experience was great, from working with Jeremy L to figure out the best heating/cooling system and interacting with Sky and Amando as they installed the system itself.

The prices were fair and their warranty is solid, but their responsiveness and customer service truly sets Summit apart from the competition.

Summit Heating and A/C came out to give me an estimate on a Mitsubishi mini split in 1 business day.  The Jeremy was prompt, polite, knowledgeable and provided a bid on the spot.  They were able to come out the very next day with the unit.  Dave and Tim arrived as the installers, again on time, with all the necessary tools and parts, with a complete understanding of the project.  The install was seamless, and they were so neat and clean I had absolutely no dust or anything to clean up when they left.  They are also processing the paperwork for a rebate and will coordinate the inspection.  I cannot recommend this company more strongly!

We had Summit Heating & AC install an AC in our home last week and we  are so. damn. happy. with the job they did.

To start off, we worked with Jeremy to find the fit that was right for us.  He was very patient with us as we had a lot of back and forth and questions as to what would be the best route for our home. Despite the demand for their services, they were quick to get us scheduled and even moved up on install date which we are so grateful for.

They got it installed and set up within the day. Amado was our tech and he was super professional and communicative throughout the whole process. He even helped us identify an unrelated issue with our dryer vent terminating in a crawl space rather than outside which we can now fix and will save us a lot of potential headaches in the future. They cleaned up after themselves and once they were done it was like they weren't even there, totally spotless.

We are very happy with the work that was done and we are loving our new AC! Bring on that summer heat!

Jake Todd from Summit Heating did a great job servicing my Lennox two-stage/multi zone heating system today. The inducer motor had been making strange noises for several months and I was anticipating an expensive repair. He found the current motor slightly loose causing the odd noise and repaired it by tightening the mounting screws; no replacement needed and no expensive repair.

This is a complex system with dozens of wires representing the 5-zones and two stages. Jake jumped right in, knowing exactly where to look, verify the system is working as designed.

Being a disabled individual is tough, I had a issue with a tree branch and Jason took care of it for me this to me speaks of service that I wouldn't expect nowadays. I hired Summit last year to fix the humidifier system attached to my furnace. They replaced a faulty solenoid valve and the system seemed to work fine all winter. But I recently discovered water on the floor next to my furnace, which is never a good sign. The culprit is the solenoid valve they replaced last year that's now leaking. It's pretty frustrating to spend $380 on a new part that fails within a year and could've caused major water damage to my house.

We originally contacted Summit in 2017 when our igniter went out on our furnace. It was right before a snow storm and they fixed the issue promptly. We've had them out semi annually since then for furnace and a/c tune ups. We get the same rep (Ben) at each appointment and he is a pleasure to work with.

This was the second time that Craig came to our home (two separate problems). He was extremely professional, great with our dog, and worked quickly to diagnose and fix our furnace. Luckily for us, both occurrences resulted in simple fixes; he also gave us some tips and tricks to avoid the issues from recurring. I would personally suggest Craig and Summit Heating to anyone looking for a local contractor who values their customers and doesn't invent issues to be fixed. We greatly appreciated Craig's honesty and will have him out again anytime we have HVAC repair needs.

Those who know me would probably guess that my spirit animal is a housecat. Yes, I do love afternoon naps and the warm sunshine, however there's an animal out there that I identify with even more: Japanese snow monkeys. You know, the ones in nature videos that spent all day lounging in natural hot springs? That's me.

I love hot showers, hot tubs, a piping hot bath.

Where am I going with this, you ask? Summit Heating & A/C just replaced our hot water heater at home. COVID has taken many things away from us, but not my long, hot showers.

The hot water heater that we had upon move-in was from the 1980's? It was a little rusty on the outside and would sometimes poop out if someone (cough, probably me) spent more than 10-15 minutes under the hot water. Even if my husband prefers cold showers (really though?), it's not a good sign.

Summit has serviced our HVAC before, so we trusted them to come back and replace the water heater. It took a few hours for them to take out the original, replace with the new, then haul away the leftovers.

Thank you, Summit, for making my showers even hotter!

Despite a positive start, not a good experience at all.

My furnace was short cycling, but eventually still getting my house up to temperature. A tech came, was a nice guy and acted very professionally, and at the end of the first visit, I was quoted $1000 to disassemble and power wash some of my furnace's components to eliminate 'construction debris' that was causing my furnace to overheat and shut down prematurely. I accepted the estimate and we scheduled the work to be done 2 days later.

Two days later, and having been told that it was going to be a time consuming job, I was surprised when I hadn't heard anything regarding the follow up appointment so with 30-45 minutes left in the appointment window, I called only to find out that the appointment had never been scheduled.

Now rescheduled for a few days later, I got a call informing me that the appointment would have to once again be rescheduled due to the technician's truck breaking down. While I appreciated the heads up, I started wondering about the possibility of maybe sending someone else??

Rescheduled again, now for the third time, I AGAIN got a call, saying that they were going to have to reschedule and that the tech wasn't going to be able to make it. At which point, I let them know that I was going to hire someone else.

Finally FYI, a competitor came in and said that my one year old furnace was one of the cleanest they had ever seen, and that it had little to no construction debris. A simple adjustment to the flow of gas coming into the furnace and a tweak to the speed of the blower fixed the problem. No power wash needed.

Joe M was so fantastic on his recent visit. Somewhat an emergency bc my place was cold and getting no heat!! Friendly, personable and professional, he figured out why my furnace was blowing out cold air - causing my house to get really cold during sub-zero temperatures. He also called ahead of time to ask if he may come earlier than the scheduled appointment but with no pressure! Of course, I was happy he was coming earlier!!

Highly recommend this company and Joe. I really appreciated their work product but more importantly their recommendations for ensuring quality service to prevent emergency calls down the road. They did so without hard pressure or sales tactics. Joe was super knowledgeable and professional and set me up to get quotes for new units. But again, wasn't pushy and left the decision to me.

Summit installed a whole house power humidifier for my home. My skin, eyes and throat had been dry in the Colorado winters, so i did some research and decided to give it a try (it is helping a lot). I had a very professional experience with Summit from start to finish. My installer Amato  consulted with his bosses to make sure the humidifier was connecting correctly to my thermostat, and Amato even came back after i had already paid to troubleshoot a problem that turned out to be unrelated to his install. Very thorough and mich appreciated!

Asked thru Yelp if they could come and service our Tankless water heater.  They responded, came out and did so.  They provided a discount.  They also easily set up a yearly schedule to take care of servicing the Water heater and entire HVAC system.  When I put in a new HVAC system 3 years ago, I got 3 bids and they came in second of the 3.  Unfortunately the vendor I chose and subsequently installed HVAC and water heater went out of business, (and can't service my HVAC or Water heater) so I thought I would give these guys a try.  Very satisfied with professionalism.

We had these guys out when we first moved in to do routine maintenance on our AC unit. That went well. A couple of months later we had to call them back out because the AC wasn't cooling properly. They diagnosed an old, worn-out unit and recommended replacement. Seeing as the unit was 20 years old, I agreed. The tech was great - since he's not a salesman, he recommended what he thought would be the best for us.  He called the office and got an installation date.

We got an email the day before the install, but on the day of, nobody showed. My wife called the office and got told that the date had been moved, but no good explanation as to why or why we had received a confirmation email.  The office promised to have the GM call her. She (not the GM) called back later to say the unit hadn't arrived but gave no further details. That's when I got involved. I talked to the office person and REALLY had to press hard to get the story. I still got no explanation for the erroneous confirmation email.

I did get a new installation date, which ended up being 1.5 weeks later than the original. But everything went well this time. The installers were friendly, careful, and thorough.

So basically 5 stars for the field staff, 1 star for the office staff. You guys REALLY need to work on your communication skills and systems. I understand if stuff happens that's out of your control but TELL ME. Don't make my wife or I stay home from work and then not show up.

Today's service with Jake was exceptional even by summit's standards. He took the time to help me understand each component of the boiler system and how he was evaluating its performance. Hired Summit to install mini-splits in my house to take advantage of the Denver climate rebate and Xcel's rebate. They were amazing from start to finish. Never felt like there was any hidden stuff, everything was upfront. Workers were great and the work they did was fantastic. Summit stands behind their work and were a pleasure to deal with, and my new units are such a great upgrade over my old system! Highly recommend Summit!

I'm really sad to have to update my review. My first few experiences with Summit were so great. I even recommended them to several friends who became Summit customers and made major purchases with them. However I had three negative experiences in a row during the month of May and feel disrespected and not valued as a customer. The final visit in this disappointing set of three visits was with Chris, who was absolutely patronizing, dismissive and gave me the most ridiculous quotes on a system (about $7,000-10,000 higher than other companies) and couldn't even be bothered to explain the issue to me. He had come before and missed the problem entirely. Then Ben came a couple of weeks later, misdiagnosed and fixed the wrong thing and said that someone else would come to talk about options to fix or replace. When Chris came a couple of weeks later, he just went straight to telling me about the new system I needed to get. When I asked questions about fixing the issue he just stared at me and finally he said Oh, I don't know what Ben found. I didn't read his notes. I'm just here to sell you a new system.

I realized that my positive experiences were dependent on a couple of great technicians and apparently are not the standard across the company. So it is hit or miss. Hopefully you get one of the fantastic technicians who is kind and demonstrates the integrity that the company prides itself on. Otherwise, you may end up getting someone who misses the issues, misdiagnoses the issue, fixes the wrong thing, sells you something you don't need and that doesn't fix the problem, and then you are stuck with a broken AC and trying to get a refund like I am. I have contacted the company about refunding the membership I was sold along with the misdiagnosis and repair that didn't fix the issue. The membership made sense when having that work done but doesn't make sense when it was the incorrect fix and I will no longer be using them as my HVAC company. I have waited 12 days to hear back from them but it seems that their customer service has gotten worse, just like their technicians. Very sad and definitely makes me regret the friends I have wholeheartedly recommended (who I will be reaching out to to share this experience as well).

Five star service!

Summit was very professional when I scheduled over the phone, let me know what to expect, and when my technician Brian showed up, he was very efficient and did a great job.

Summit gave me a 2 hour window for my service technician's arrival when I scheduled, which is much better than the 4 hour window I have experienced at other places. Brian gave me a courtesy call when he was on his way to my place and let me know what time to expect him. When Brian arrived, he was friendly, educated me on what to expect and what services he would recommend in the future, and finished up much earlier than I expected him to. The whole process took under 2 hours.

I would definitely recommend Summit! As a plus, if you commit to yearly maintenance for a minimum of 3 years, you get a 40% discount on your future yearly maintenance services!

So it just keeps getting worse.  I had a master plumber come out and check my tankless because the tankless wasn't functioning properly. Turns out they installed all of it incorrectly.  At the time they had installed my furnace and tankless 4 years ago, the gas line size that I had would not be able to provide the amount of gas for the BTUs needed so my system has been running improperly for 4 years.  They further discovered that all dip switches were set incorrectly, condensate line is installed incorrectly causing condensate trap to get clogged every time it fires gas, pressures were set incorrectly, condensate line was not draining into a proper drain and is just running with 3/8 vinyl tubing over to corner of floor which is very much against code, they installed a PVC line taped to the vinyl tubing that is getting clogged causing condensate to back up, and condensate line for furnace is draining outside which is also against cold which could cause freezing etc. etc.

In Oct. 2021, we purchased a 40 year old home from the original owners. While it looked like they took immaculate care of the A/C system, when we fired it up in May, it seemed like we weren't getting adequate cooling. We called Summit to help and they sent Shane Sperry, who couldn't have been more helpful.  As new Coloradans, we had MANY questions about heating and cooling in general and more questions about our aging system. Shane took his time and gave his full attention as he answered each and every one. He reviewed the system in detail and provided several options for us to consider on how to maximize our setup. We were so impressed with his knowledge and attention to detail. He cleaned out our system and ran several tests to ensure it was functioning properly. He even talked us through options for when we are ready to replace the system. He was very knowledgeable about the advances in energy savings available and talked broadly about what he's seeing in new builds and customers that have opted for solar. Shane's experience and service were so excellent that Summit has gained us as customer's for life.

Wife and I decided on this company for our annual tune-ups when we purchased our home in 2017 based on good reviews across all platforms.  Our systems at the time were 30+ years old, and on their last leg.  We were anticipating some work in the future where we'd be adding on space to the home so were really trying to defer major AC work until that time.

Fast forward 3 years and not only did these guys/gals keep our old systems alive for the past few years, but we used them as well for a brand new furnace/AC install including humidifier and reme unit.  We did run into a hiccup with the reme/humidifier install, but JT (regional mgr) came out to visit to see what options we had.  He came up with a solution that worked for all involved, and had a second crew out to finish it all up.

I can't say enough good things about how this company operates. They communicate, follow thru when there are hiccups along the way, and most importantly make sure all parties are happy.  Special shout out for the install crew, Jake and Shane who came back out today to tie it all up.  As long as Jake/JT/Shane are with this company, they'll have my business.

P.S.  - virtual high five for them taking COVID seriously too, and generally being cognizant of you the homeowner's home.  They wore masks every time they were here, and wore booties when entering the house.  Especially comforting now more than ever with a pregnant wife during these crazy times we find ourselves in.

I found Summit a year or two ago to do my annual furnace maintenance.  The whole experience in terms of scheduling to arrival was great. So when they told me they had a club type program you could join and get yearly reminders and some discounts on service, I was onboard.  I have two furnace and two A/C units, so every little bit of savings helps.  Fast forward to this past weekend, and my main level A/C stopped working just as family had arrived in town.  After troubleshooting the situation, I gave Summit a call, and they were able to get someone out that same day (Sunday).  The technician Rich showed up with a mask and got to work on the problem.  Turns out there was an electrical short in the unit, which ultimately also fried my thermostat.  While he was out, he also discovered my humidifier (which had been added by another company) was wired improperly.  All in all, in the course of maybe an hour and a half he fixed three separate things.

While it's never thrilling to have to pay for repairs, I appreciate the transparency Summit has with regards to pricing both when scheduling and during the visit. And that club membership did manage to save me about $50-60 on the whole.  It's nice to have a go-to when it comes to house issues, and I feel like my HVAC is in good hands with Summit.

Had a tech come to my house for a ductless AC that wasn't working properly. While the tech was very nice, on time, and had great communication, he horribly misdiagnosed my issue.

He told me that my entire unit was blown and I needed to replace my 2 year old ductless unit. He left an hour later and told me the office would be calling to collect payment for the trip charge and give me a quote on a new unit. Thankfully I got a second company out and it was merely a basic leak in my unit. Took the other company all of 20 min to fix it and 3 months later it's still working perfectly.

As a former general contractor and project manager, and overall skeptical consumer, I have no patience with subcontractors who try to bs me, or who are just not good at what they do.  So I am happy to report that I was very satisfied with the service from Jake with Summit.  Showed up on time, didn't fool around, and knew what he was doing.  Not like the previous company which was running an $89.00 special and tried to upsell $650 worth of un-needed work.  I was happy with Jake's work and think maybe I finally found an HVAC company I can trust.  Wouldn't that be nice!!

Horrible! They do not stand behind their work. If you want to pay a lot of money, have the cost grow as the project continues and then still have a system that doesn't work and leaks call them! Their first visit I paid to fully replace the motor of the swamp cooler over $1,000, then the system still didn't work and he returned to update pads for another over $400!!!! And a few weeks later I returned to see a steady flow of water leaking out over the roof!!! When I called to see if they would stand by their work I was told only if a technician says it is related to their work, otherwise it's a $175 trip fee!!! How could it not be related to their work, the swamp cooler never leaked before!

We have used Summit to replace the AC at our last two homes and they will always be our first choice.  Their techs are well trained, experienced, and professional.  There are multiple people checking every step of the process.  The job is not done until you're completely satisfied.  
    We also upgraded the air filter and upsized the return/supply ducts to improve airflow. The permit always has to find something and their electricians immediately made any needed changes.    
    We also appreciate their after support regular maintenance.  Summit will not be the cheapest, but they will be the best choice.

From start to finish, Summit Heating is all about customer service. We are part of their membership program and they have serviced our swamp cooler in the past. We were looking to replace our 20+ yr old furnace, they were able to provide a competitive quote, great warranty, arrange with the electrician, etc. Sal and his team installed our new furnace, made sure to protect our floors (and clean them after), all the parts look beautiful, fresh and well put. Sal was friendly, informative and thoughtful. We are thrilled with our new furnace and we look forward to hire Summit for other home upgrades in the future. Summit Heating and AC have been great from the first contact. Brian came and did the site survey, giving me an understandable walkthrough of my options and a quick turnaround on the estimate. I didn't feel any pressure to buy and I was given plenty of options.

Today Topher and Sal installed the system and I couldn't be happier. They were extremely professional and friendly throughout, did a great job with the installation and in explaining the system fully. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company to anyone.

Great experience with with Summit. After an intensely hot day, our AC unit stopped working in the evening. The next morning I went through Yelp to get quotes for someone to come out and inspect it. Summit responded almost immediately and was upfront with their costs right off the bat. Once I provided a phone number they called right away and said they could have someone out by 3pm. At 2:15 I got a called from Ben stating he was 20 minutes away and actually showed up 20 minutes later, ahead of the scheduled 3pm time. Despite having a unit that is nearing probably 40 years old (no clue how it's still hanging on) he had a blown fused replaced within 30 minutes. By 3:35 we had cool air pumping into the house. Ben was a pleasure and even had me laughing which is hard to do when it's 90 degrees outside and only a few degrees colder inside. I definitley recommend Summit for your cooling needs!

On a neighbor's advice we started using Summit after moving into our new home in 2016. Over the years we have found their technicians to be knowledgeable, courteous and fairly consistent. We believed in Summit to the extent that last year we signed a service agreement with them to cut down on the cost of future service calls. When we recently had scheduling issues that contrasted with the services we were accustomed to receiving from Summit they were highly responsive. The GM and owner, whom I spoke with at length, were both receptive to my feedback and offered to make it right by going above and beyond to make sure the necessary work was completed quickly and competently. I appreciate the time and effort of everyone involved as we have a unit that is fully functional (and it didn't cost a mint). As a result I'll be recommending Summit to my new neighbors...and to you.

Great support.  Josh came out and provided a nice evaluation and spelled out options and costs for a whole house humidifier.  He then scheduled the install right on the spot.  Christopher (Topher) came out on time for the install and both fast and clean and efficient.  He took time to clean up all the runs and the setup looked better after he got done than before he got started.  Topher then took the time to walk us through the daily operations and periodic maintenance needs.

We were looking for a new HVAC system as our current systems were both getting old and we were not really satisfied with the heating and were looking at adding a whole house humidifier as well.

Jeremy came in and did a really in depth study of our house. Turns out our current furnace (120,000 BTU) was too powerful for our house and he made recommendations for a smaller more efficient furnace (70,000 BTU) that he was confident would be enough for our house. We were surprised to hear the discrepancy but trusted Jeremy due to his professionalism and the amount of time he took to measure the space of our house and all the windows. The price we were quoted was higher than other quotes we had received but the level of detail from Jeremy definitely demonstrated to us that this was going to be more of a premium experience.

Our installation date was set up the very next week and Craig and Sal came out and were very considerate about the whole installation process. They warned us when they were going to have to turn off the furnace so we would have time crank up the heat for the few hours we would have to go without. We had a 2 week old baby and a 2 year old toddler in the house and Craig was also very flexible on when they needed to go up to the rooms to install some vents during nap time. He was able to work on other things first before the toddler woke up. He also took the time to explain all the new equipment that was installed.

Overall, we have had a great experience with Summit Heating. We are very satisfied with our new HVAC system and also the service we have received both before and after the installation. Would definitely recommend them for anyone looking to install a new system.

We called Summit on a Tuesday, and the technician (Josh) was here by Wednesday. Super quick turnaround! Not only that, but Josh reached out and asked if it was okay if he arrived early to which we happily agreed. When your furnace stops working in the middle of back-to-back snow days, the quicker the better. He was in and out within about 30 minutes and got it all fixed, as well as checked on our 2nd furnace to ensure they were both good to go for us moving forward, which was super thoughtful. He showed my husband what the problem was and explained everything he did. We ended up joining Summit's club membership because Josh's service was so great! It's very reassuring to know we have someone to go to that we can trust when these issues inevitably pop up. Thank you Josh for the friendly & efficient service! :)

Wow , I really don't know how to express my self any more then this.
Summit Heating and Air is a great company , with great employees that are about the customer.
Ben Andrew's was the technician that came out to my home , to service my gas furnace and my central air conditioner. My furnace is 18 years old and needed a tune up along with the central air conditioner.
Ben took time to hear what was going on with my furnace and the issues that I am starting have with it. Ben inspected my furnace, he cleaned my fan , my a/c coils and explained to me that a certain part was going out on my  furnace and gave me the price for it . To make a long story short Ben was professional, courteous, very nice to talk to and listen to what I had  to say .
All and All my Gas furnace works like it's new again and my Central air conditioner is cooling my house better then it has in years.
Thank You Summit heating and air for such a great technician and great customer service. If I have any more issues on my a/c or heating I will for sure call SUMMIT HEATING & AIR.

Our heater wasn't working properly during one of the days we had tons of snow. I called and left a message and Summit responding promptly within 5 minutes to make an appointment. They quoted me for the afternoon, but if something freed up they would notify me.

Summit did find an earlier time and notified me that Cody would be contacting me shortly. Cody contacted me and told me he was in his way.

He was very courteous and friendly and found the issue quickly.

I would recommend Summit to anyone and use them again if we needed their services.

Okay, I won't say buying a new furnace is painless - after all, there is the cost. But for value and ease and great service, this was tops.

Josh did the initial inspection, told us why we needed a new furnace, and added that if we bought from Summit his inspection and tune-up fee would be rebated. He didn't push us. His explanation made sense. Okay, on to the next step!

Jeremy examined our current setup and told us everything we would need right down to the penny. He explained everything thoroughly without wasting time. Thank you, Jeremy, great job. You made being sold to as painless as possible.

Just a few days later, Topher and Mike came to install our new furnace and the accompanying thermostat. In by 8:30, out by 4:30. They fixed everything, including things that we didn't know were wrong. Everyone from Summit was friendly, fast, efficient, thorough, and concerned with our lasting comfort and safety. You can't beat that.

We also had to have a lot of electrical work done. Summit provided their electricians (Vossen) and included the electrical costs so we didn't have to mess with any details. Down to the penny, guaranteed. We knew we had to get electrical work, and it was so nice not to have to search for it or worry about it.

I called and scheduled an appointment based on the strong positive Yelp reviews (and the fact that they respond to every review!). Unfortunately what started as routine call, quickly escalated to an emergency when it seemed my furnace  was blowing no/cold air. Summit was great and for a nominal increase they were able to send someone out the same night.

Charlie showed up and was awesome. First, simply from a courtesy standpoint, Charlie removed his shoes as it was icy/slushy outside. He took a thorough look at our furnace and thermostat and I was sure based on its age he would simply recommend what I know will be an expensive replacement. Instead he hung out for nearly 30 min trying to replicate what we were experiencing. Naturally it wouldn't cooperate and behaved  beautifully during his visit.

As his last call of the night he totally could have blown through the call. Instead Charlie took the time to explain a lot about the system including the fact it had a humidifier not in use!  He cleaned a sensor and was very thorough with his inspection. In the end, a sensor cleaning and some adjustments to the thermostat settings was all that was done, but so far it's working. Charlie walked through some potential next steps and repairs before we consider replacing.

I know when it does need replacing this is the company I'll be calling.

This company has been fantastic. They have serviced our old furnace and AC for years. Ben was our technician for a couple times and he was always honest. He told us eventually we'd need a new furnace and AC. That's where Donnie comes in for an estimate. From the beginning when Donnie gave us a quote for a furnace and AC, he was knowledgeable and professional. Then the crew came over and were just as great! Tanner and Robbie were here on time and finished the job sooner than expected. Both of them respected our home and wore masks the whole time. Cleaned up when needed and were very communicative. I had an emergency and called for help with a water heater that was flooding our basement. Literally up to my ankles deep in water. They told me they couldn't send anyone that day but would the next day. We had to emergency shut off all water to our house and wait with 10 people and a medically fragile child in the house for a full day, okay.... They were a no show for the appointment time they agreed to and confirmed 3 times and called after being past estimated time to inform me a REAL emergency came up so they weren't coming at all and they would maybe come Thursday but they couldn't promise anything. Absolutely unacceptable. I called another company and had it fixed same day. Would not recommend.

I had no heat starting Saturday night. Sunday morning I started looking for a company that could come over and fix the problem - I always look on Yelp before choosing companies ... I contacted Summit and the lady told me somebody might come by around 1 ... 12.45 a technician - Josh - called and said he was on his way. He was very nice and found the problem easily ... my furnace was overheating and my filter needed to be changed. Since my furnace and AC are 22 years old, he recommended to have an estimate to replace them - without being pushy. Donne Smith came Monday - punctual and efficient and gave me an estimate within 15 min - I had no idea that that replacement would be so expensive and will look for a couple more estimates but if prices are more or less the same go with Summit.  I met with 2 great workers and they could not have been nicer.

MJ has been by far the best technician that I've had the pleasure to do business with in a very long time. In short, my nest unit would not turn on heat. Being in Colorado at this time of year, the last thing you want is snow with no heat (it's supposed to snow today conveniently).  He came over right on time and identified the issue really quickly.

Now, resolving the immediate issue is the utmost importance. But a close second is maintenance and ensuring the longevity of the furnace. Being that the unit is 10+ years old, we agreed that fine tuning the unit and performing diagnostics was a good idea. He explained everything precisely, and also provided his expertise opinion on what can cause issues in the immediate future (after all, the last thing you want is another breakage after a recent service). In the end, I signed up for a 3 year membership with Summit because 1.) MJ earned my trust and 2.) the membership fee would pay for itself rather quickly.

All in all, a very pleasant experience all around. You can bet money that I will ask if MJ can come over again when I need HVAC help again next time.

I called Summit Heating on Sunday because my heater was not working properly and had a faint burnt odor to it.  I was charged $ 179.95 to come out on a Sunday, and do a diagnostic, which I agreed to.  After .25 hours I was charged another $30.00 for labor and $276.00 for FLAME SENSOR.  
Later that evening the heater went out again.  Their diagnostics was to replace the Trane panel, furnace motor, and capacitor, and clean the glower and burners on a 15 year old unit.   I feel I was over charged and the problem was not corrected. I also feel diagnostics was to make more  repairs then were needed at this time.  I will not do business with this company again and would not recommend them.

Today is Tuesday and Summitt Heating did reach out to me by phone in an attempt to rectify the problem and cost previously described in this review.   This is appreciated.

Outstanding service.  A year ago, they told us we would be needing a new control board.  We decided not to replace it at that time and guess what happened when it snowed this week?  That's right.  No heat!  Derek came last night and could not determine the cause of the problem.  He was not on call this weekend, but he told me I could call him directly if I was able to recreate the issue.  I called him first thing this morning and he came himself and was not satisfied until he knew he had the issue repaired.  Sign up for the maintenance plan, you will not regret it!  And ask for Derek!  Outstanding professional.

Last night I had to make an emergency call to the gas company as I smelled gas.  Although they came out and addressed some leaking taking place outside of the house, they shut off my furnace and said I needed repair work completed before it could be turned back on.  I did my online review hunting and first thing in the morning reached out to Summit.  Right from the beginning, I knew I made the right choice.  My details were collected by the office and I was scheduled within a few hours of my call.  The technicians they sent - Lead plumber Esteban and his associate Bill - were great at communicating.  They let me know when they were on the way, listened to my concerns as well as addressing the note left by the gas company.  They were very thorough in diagnosing and correcting the issues that they found.  Esteban also educated me on things I should watch out for going forward.  I asked about an issue with a humidistat that is attached to the furnace.  Although they were not familiar with it, they contacted someone who had the knowledge and found answers for me.  I greatly appreciate having the heat back on and these guys for going the extra mile for me.  They will always be the ones I call and recommend - 5+ stars in my book!  Thank you Esteban and Bill!

I've used Summit Heating & AC twice this year, for furnace and AC repair.  I'm very satisfied with this company.  Their communication is excellent, their customer service is top-notch.

Charlie came by to check on our AC and help identify some trouble we were having with it.  He was very patient and courteous, taking the time to explain the situation to both my wife and me and answer our questions.  While I'm sure he had a long line of other customers to get to, while he was here he took his time and treated us like we were his only job for the day.

The outstanding customer service provided by Summit is why they are the only HVAC company in my contacts list.

We had a 3:00 appointment. We were busy gardening at 1:00 when the guy who was coming called to ask if he could come at 1:30 instead of 3. We had a terrible connection and found out that they have a strange software phone system. We said we could do it, but we weren't sure he could hear us, so I finally hung up and we went inside to clean up. When he hadn't shown after 1:30, I called the office to find out where he was. I was told that their phone system wasn't working well and the guy didn't have a cell phone so he didn't know if he could come to our house at 1:30, so he went on a different job and now wouldn't be able to make it to our place until 4:00! I was livid and told him we'd been busy and filthy and came in to clean up just for him. I finally said if that's the way they did business, forget it. I hope they were doing a simple repair job. We're getting a whole new HVAC system!

Rarely do I leave a 5 star review for a service company, but I think I've found it.  If you're in the Denver area I can attest to the great service provided by Summit Heating and A/C.  Our heater broke over night and we woke up cold.  Summit sent out one of those reps before the work day was over.  Josh was a great representation of a qualified, knowledgeable, and friendly service tech.  Although the fix wasn't as cumbersome as I had feared, Josh walked me through how to do a little TLC myself to prevent future similar issues.  

In my experience, this outfit is second to none in the area.  Give them a try, you'll feel all warm and fuzzy...or at least warm again.

What an unfortunate surprise to find we needed to replace the furnace and AC since the repairs were getting too frequent and costly. $$$ Yikes! We've been customers of Summit for a couple of years, so we called for a consultation and estimate. The sales rep, Donny, was super helpful.

We finally pulled the trigger last week and had the work done. We were impressed that the owner, Bill, came by before the work began. The 2 men assigned to our job were Jake and Shane, and they were remarkably professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. They ran into a problem with one item and before proceeding, explained the options to us. We really appreciated their willingness to let us think it through before making a decision. Once they finished, they walked us through all the features and explained the changes they'd made. And, the final total came out to the penny of what the estimate was.

I can't say enough about our satisfaction with Summit. They are a small business that appears to hire and train the best people.

We woke up at 3AM today in a freezing cold house. The pilot light on our furnace would not stay lit. Called Summit at 7AM and after one ring I was speaking to a live person who said she could send a repairman to our home between 12-2PM today. At 12:06PM the door bell rang and Chris from Summit was there. He found the problem in 15 minutes and replaced the thermocouple in an hour. Heat is back, what a relief. This is a company doing everything right. Wish more were like Summit. Thanks for the timely and expert repair!

Sequel: The original repair failed. We called back and this time the owner of the company Bill personally appeared at our home at 7PM to fix the problem. Wow, I am very impressed. Now I know who to call for HVAC issues!

Just now tried to get a simple quote. Instead they tried selling me a safety inspection for $100. I responded back that is not what I was asking for. They wrote be back saying someome had to see the problem before even making a quote.

So three issues:
1. Do not advertise on Yelp that someone can get a quote online when that is not true
2. Do not try to sell someone something they clearly were not asking about
3. If you really have to see the issue beforehand, then write back and say that instead of doing number 2

If getting a quote is this shady, I can only imagine how they actually are. Looks like they must of had a lot of their friends and family post positive reviews for them.

Our heat was acting funny the last few days so we checked online for a good repair company.  Summit is the only one with over four stars on Yelp, which I consider nearly impossible given how negative people can be when posting anonymously.  We gave them a ring at 2:30 pm on a Sunday before a snow storm was going to start that evening.  They explained clearly the pricing clearly including the $100 diagnostics test.  Our repairman Brian called us from his truck at 3 pm to let us know he'd be at our house by 3:30 pm.  So for the non-mathletes reading this, that's ONE hour from call to door.  

Once at our house, Brian quickly identified the issue as a burnt out pump that went a bit haywire due to how our venting was set up when the house was flipped in 2012.  Brian had the part in his truck and quickly installed it, as well as doing a tune-up on the furnace, by 4 pm.  As for the price, you are sort of at the mercy of companies when your heat goes out before a cold-front comes in, but Brian and Summit explained everything clearly so I could understand it.  It wasn't super-cheap ($400), but I didn't feel like I was mugged in my own house or anything like that.

Anyway, I'd highly recommend Summit and can't say enough good things about Brian.  Good luck with your heating this winter!

Our 2-stage furnace was running on the low setting and not keeping up with the cold. With a 25 day old infant in the house, we felt that we had an emergency repair needed. I called and was bumped quickly to the front of the line. Within a few hours, the technician (Charlie) called and came to the house. He readjusted the furnace after some quick online research on my furnace model, and it works like brand new.

The technician was professional in presentation and performance. He took the time to explain to me what was happening and how it was fixed.  Additionally, the initial answer on the phone in their office was pleasant, efficient, and responsive. Summit provides immediate email records of the invoice and services. No unnecessary paperwork.

I left a message and they called me first thing in the morning. This place is run with excellent manners more like a doctor's office than a HVAC place.

Ben came out as scheduled and figured out the whole problem with my furnace in a few minutes and had the part to fix it.

My furnace is old but he said the rest of it was working fine and we waited to make sure the heat was working properly.

I was visited by a young technician named Charlie. I was pleased to hear you was certified for both heating and air conditioning and he was very quick and thorough.

Kudos to the entire staff because they kept me updated for a schedule change and were very accommodating to me.  The phone representative I worked with was very polite, accommodating, professional and pleasant to talk to.

The rates were comparable to most other companies in the area and way under some competitors. I got what I asked for which was a timely and professional servicing of my air conditioning and heating systems by a qualified technician at a reasonable rate.  I am very pleased and have no problem with spending a little over $125 once a year for some peace of mind.

Can't say enough great things about our experience with Ben! We had on and off issues with our furnace for over a week but were nervous about the cost involved in a big repair. Going into a weekend with lots of snow and single digit temps, we bit the bullet and called Summit. Ben arrived on time, was beyond friendly and joked with my husband, but more importantly, diagnosed our issue in a matter of minutes and resolved the problem at minimal cost. Yesterday it was 97 degrees out and overnight our A/C stopped working.  I called Summit Heating and A/C this morning, and I spoke with Jennifer on the phone.  She was able to get an HVAC technician out to our home this afternoon, and gave me window of between 1 and 3pm for his arrival.  At 12:15pm, Jennifer called me back to let me know that he would be arriving closer to 2pm.  This allowed me to go out and run an errand, which I wouldn't have been able to do had I been sitting around for that hour waiting.  Benjamin Andrews arrived at 1:50, and had our A/C up and running again by 2:50pm.  I will definitely be calling Summit Heating and A/C next time we need help with this sort of thing!

Overall very impressed by Summit Heating & AC. Jeremy explained various options for us, gave a competitive price, and set us up. Craig and Sal spent a full day installing a Daikin minisplit for us and did an excellent job. The look both outside and inside is clean and sleek (slim profile). Summit is such a wonderful, responsive company - there is no lead to look any further for help with heating or A/C issues.  In February we had the wonderful experience of our old heater blowing cold air.  Not good.  Summit was the only company that answered the phone and came out the same day to get it up and running.  Thanks Josh!  

Fast forward to two months later when the silly old heater decided to play a funny joke and blow cold air again.  Classic.  We already knew and had been saving to replace the system, so instead of band-aids every couple months, we decided it was time to bite the bullet and install an updated, energy efficient system.  

Knowing how straightforward and honest our first experience was, we were very comfortable reaching out to have Summit Heating and Air Conditioning take on the job.  Dianne helped schedule an appointment for us with friendly service, and Chris M. came to our house and spent some quality time taking the appropriate measurements to determine which system would meet our family's needs.  Some companies sell a one-size fits all system, but we were given options and had them all clearly explained.  He was patient with our dog climbing all over him while he shared the ins and outs.

After that meeting, we decided to get it all done at once since the systems we had in place were old, and not energy efficient.  New Furnace, new A/C, and new water heater - hoping for peace of mind and energy savings.

Summit even helps with all of the rebates through XCel Energy and even with manufacturer's rebates that bring the total costs down.

While this is a big expense - they get the job done so professionally and promptly it is 100% worth the money.  On install day, Craig offered to treat my wife and I coffee, then he and his apprentice Diego removed the old clunkers and installed the new systems in a flash.  They made sure our house remained clean and tidy through the whole process.  I'm still not sure how they fit the water heater down the basement staircase, but there wasn't even a scratch on the wall.  The utility room never looked so organized.  They cleaned up how exhaust pipes run, secured the insulated pipes that run to the A/C system in a way that made more sense, and even moved the water heater to give us more storage space.  That really counts in these old houses!  Craig and Diego are both real pros and take pride in their work getting everything up to code.  

Great service and work from start to finish!  Stop looking around and comparing other companies, with Summit, you'll save future headaches and have a smooth experience.

Had a great experience from start to finish with Summit Heating & Air Conditioning!

We noticed the smell of burnt plastic coming out of our vents so the next day I took to Yelp to find an HVAC company and thanks to the recommendations on Yelp I decided to submit a request to Summit on their website.  They responded withing about 15 minutes and the woman on the phone was extremely kind and empathetic to my situation and got me scheduled with Josh for 5:00 pm that day, which was perfect for my work schedule.

Josh was not only on-time he was about 10 minutes early, which was unfortunate for me as I was about 5 minutes late ;)  After patiently waiting for me to arrive Josh did a great job in efficiently diagnosing the issue, finding the best and most cost effective solution for me and thoroughly explaining my options. After that he was able to perform the repair on the spot and he was in and out of my house in about an hour and 15 minutes total and was off to his next job. Josh was very polite and easy to talk to and displayed excellent customer service skills, which can be rare for a contractor.

Summit is about as organized and customer-service oriented a HVAC company you could ever ask for, I would highly recommend their services!

These guys are 5 star for a reason.  Today was the first freeze of the year (and a Sunday) and our heater went out.

I used Yelp, requested a quote, and 10 minutes later got a phone call this  sunday morning.  The lady told me they could have someone here a couple hours from now.

Josh showed up, fixed our igniter, and was out fast. We knew this would be an expensive fix but what he quoted us was cheaper than we had anticipated.

Fantastic job and I highly reccommend them.

We needed a full replacement of our AC unit and after meeting with Jeremy decided to also upgrade our furnace in the process. I can not recommend this company enough! Craig and Sal were our installation techs and were absolutely wonderful - careful, friendly, respectful and even made friends with our crazy dog!

Love that they are a small, family owned business and how great the whole team was during our initial consultation and installation. They were prompt and all around would highly recommend them for your heating and cooling needs!

Summit did a great job with a new furnace and A/C unit. Brian came out for the quote and was friendly and thorough, and spent a good amount of time performing an audit of our hose. It was good to know we would be getting a unit sized for our house, and he didn't try to sell us on overly expensive units that we didn't need, unlike some other quotes we got. Jake did the bulk of the installation work and was happy to answer questions and let me hang around for a bit to learn about the new system as he performed adjustments. He built more convenient filter access to our system and explained his addition of another capacitor to the a/c unit. I thought they were nice touches and its clear he takes pride in his work.

Both were friendly and great to talk to, and I'd be happy to recommend them to anyone. Thank you both!

I had air flow issues on the 2nd floor of my house - either hot in summer or frigid in winter.  I looked at reviews on Yelp & Google and saw saw Summit had impeccable reviews, so I thought I would give them a try.  It took a bit to get an appointment.  That was ok with me bough b/c that meant they were in demand! The tech that came to the house, Josh, was professional, courteous, and quite knowledgeable.  Unfortunately for me, he recommended complete system replacement as my furnace/AC was at end of life.  Josh said he'd have the main office call to get a sales rep out to the house.  That same day I had a phone call from the main office and an appointment with a sales rep for the following day.  Quite efficient, which I truly appreciated.  

The sales rep that came to my house, Eric, was outstanding.  No pressure, no nonsense - he just told it how it was.  We discussed my needs and the state of my HVAC system.  He helped me to settle on a new furnace that was not the top of the line system (thus saving me $$$) b/c that was the best for my situation.  I truly appreciated his honesty and knowledge.  

A few weeks later, Craig & Omar did the actual installation of my new furnace.  They too were knowledgeable, courteous, and took extreme care of my house.  After completion, Chad walked me through the functionality of the new system.  

I'm not a big online reviewer, but was so impressed from start to end with Summit that I felt compelled to write something.  Top notch company and a no-brainer choice for HVAC needs.  You've earned a customer for life.

After having dealt with 4 different HVAC companies in Denver, these guys are a breath of fresh air (budumtish).

So far, they've worked on my heating, A/C, installed an Aprilaire whole-house steam humidifier, and connected everything to a Nest thermostat. They're always punctual (or let you know if they're running late), always professional, happy to explain everything and always willing to help. On his way today, the tech (Josh) even called to ask if I needed anything picked up on his way here. If they ever don't know the answer to something, they call the manufacturer or do their own research to get you the answer.

100% recommend these guys for any HVAC needs you may have.

I am super impressed with Summit and in particular Josh who conducted my service and Jeanette who got the service rolling.

My furnace has been acting up for about 2 weeks. I was very nervous since it's been very cold and the last thing I need is for it to croak altogether right now.

Unable to get a reply from the HVAC company I have used in the past, I called another HVAC company that had sent a coupon to my house. Long story short I was told my furnace had a fan motor on it's way out and the cost to replace would be over $1000. I knew that had to be really off the charts out to lunch so after that company left I did what I should have done BEFORE I called them and read the Yelp reviews on them and about 90% of the reviews were not good and mentioned price gouging in particular.

So I Yelped HVAC and found and called Summit for a second opinion based on their reviews. Josh showed up on time and went to work. After about 20 minutes I was alerted my fan motor was fine. Furnace has some age but certainly nowhere near the end of its life. The issue was my poorly designed filter box and undersized filter causing poor airflow tripping a heat sensor. Josh even had an easy fix (much bigger filter and positioned better to allow more airflow) and furnace is working like a charm now.

I have a new HVAC company and it is called Summit. :-)

Honesty and Integrity are huge with me. Summit gets my vote.

When I saw over a hundred 5-star reviews I knew I had to give them a shot.  97 degrees and the air conditioner goes out.  Called five places and spoke to one company scheduling three weeks out.  The other four I just left messages - subsequently a few days later no returned calls.  So I turn to my Yelp community and pick three to request a quote.

Response via Yelp in minutes that I will get a call.  A couple hours later I received a call.  They can come out tonight between 7pm and 9pm.  Are you kidding me, same day service?  Yes they were going to charge a little more, but who cares!  I finally got a response back from the other companies after Summit had already fixed my problem.

If you're cheap and want to wait three weeks go elsewhere.  If you need heat or air conditioning sooner, CALL SUMMIT!

Unfortunately, my 22 year old furnace died a month ago and Summit replaced it with a new one. I got quotes from three places and Summit was the most expensive (by a little bit) but they also had the best warranty so I went with them. I thought everyone I interacted with was professional and knowledgeable. They also installed it on a Saturday which was convenient for me. Would use them again!

Everyone I had contact with was fantastic! Our furnace stopped working this morning and I was freaking out. I did a bunch of online research and reached out to Summit through the Yelp app. Doug responded to my request in less than 15 minutes and Jeanette (I think that was her name. I apologize if I am remembering incorrectly.) called me just a few minutes later to schedule the appointment. Jeanette let me know that they likely wouldn't be able to get anyone out until after hours and was very clear what the charge for after hours work would be and got us on the schedule.

I got a call from the technician, Herb, around 4:00 to let me know that he could be here in 15 minutes. Herb got our furnace up and running in no time. Herb was kind and curtoeous and made sure that I understood what was going on.

This was a best-case scenario after waking up to no heat. Thank you to everyone at Summit! I will absolutely be calling the next time i need heating/cooling expertise.

It's not fun having your furnace quit in the winter - it has one job! Herb arrived promptly at the time of the appointment. He called me before to give me a heads up. He was very courteous and professional and not only fixed my furnace problem (explaining the issue to me before he did the work) but he also corrected another issue he found with my humidifier.

It was easy to schedule the appointment with Summit. They are a great organization and I will definitely be calling them in the future.

Brian came out twice and did a very comprehensive evaluation of my property in order to give an accurate quote.

Craig and Sal completed the installation. They were knowledgable, punctual, and super nice guys. They left my house cleaner than it was when they arrived!

I called this evening at 5::30 saying my furnace had stopped working. The gentleman took all my information and that a tech would call me. As of  10:00,they are now closed per their hours on the web site, no one ever called me. So much for good reviews. Needless to say, I won't be  using them  for any repairs. Why would anyone?

Just an update. Thursday morning around 9:30, I received a message from Chris, saying sorry but his girl said they called and maybe it didn't go through. Offered a discount to call back. Not much of an apology. I realize not everything goes perfect in any business, it's how you handle it.  This did not do it.

I initially called Summit to come out and do a repair to my furnace. Since then, they have been out a couple times for other repairs. Every single time their office staff and techs have been top notch and professional.
I have since purchased a new furnace and AC system after the home and garden show. Pricing and home evaluation was straightforward and honest. Many financing options available.
Install day was a terrible snow storm but the techs came out and protected our floors replaced the old system and shoveled a path to the backyard to get the AC unit set. Jake and his helper did their best in a bad situation. After the install I had some concerns that you could see after the snow melt. Again, Jake, came back and went above and beyond.
I probably won't see them again unless I need a tune up.
Put your wallets down and consider what great service and warranty work is worth to you. I would recommend Summit to anyone I talk to, neighbor or contractor.

My heater was not working when I woke up at 4:30 am. I was scared because it was only 1 degree outside; and it was cold in my house.
I called Summit 3 times before they opened (I talked to the understanding, nice service that they use when the cold weather hits) to add more information to my call: I am a member of their club (they are the best people ever); I was cold, and I am an older person.
They called me about 8:15 and set an appointment with MJ. I have to say he is a super thoughtful young man and a professional. He called me at 1140am (the appointment was between 11 and 1) and was here right on time. I told him my thoughts on what the problem might be, and he went out to work.
He was able to see that the most important thing for me was to get heat in my house, and he did it!!!
Before I go on, I will explain why 4 stars. And don't get me wrong, this company is fantastic, and MJ was a delight. Here it is: after MJ left I looked out the back door and my gate was open; I went outside and saw that the panel box was open; I went out to the crawl space door and saw that my outdoor lights weren't re-plugged in; and lastly, I peeked over the top of the crawl space door and the light was on... Those 4 things took a star away because I had to close the gate, the panel box, plug in my lights, and turn off the light in the crawl space.
Back to my review: MJ explained a lot of things to me and enlightened me that there may be an electrical problem at my outdoor GFCI outlet. He carefully redid the whole length of heat tape because it failed (I think it keeps the tubing warm so that the moisture from the HVAC condensate pump does not freeze and shut the heater off, which it did), probably because the outlet may have some hidden problems. He spent a lot of time out there and did a wonderful job. And I truly appreciate it.
Summit and MJ, you are my hero and once again my house is nice and toasty.

Summit Heating & Air Conditioning absolutely exceeded my expectations for everything they did! This will likely be a long review in order to adequately express how pleased I am with their service.

I bought a condo where I was already aware of the need to get a new furnace, A/C, and water heater...and of course, the furnace and A/C were shoved in a tiny utility closet. It was also clear that the last time the water heater was installed, it was not installed to code nor with a permit. I requested quotes from 3 different contractors in order to compare prices & services. Jeremy showed up to perform the load calculation (to determine sizing & heat loss/gain) and develop a proposal. Not every contractor walks through a load calculation (though they should), nor do they give a proposal versus a quote (out the door price versus general estimate). I was extremely happy with how he walked me through both the calculations and the checklist of work & tests they perform for each install. He was super great about letting me pick his brain about current and upcoming revisions to building codes.

When install day came, they were great about letting me know when to expect them. When they took the old equipment out of the utility closet, it was found that the flooring beneath the water heater had suffered water damage from the last time the water heater was installed. Bill Leech personally came out to evaluate the situation and provide some direction on what to do next. I wasn't keen on installing a new water heater on a rotted floor in the case it completely failed in the next 10 years as to replace the water heater would require removal of the furnace first. Bill was great in understanding the concern and getting things set up so that the flooring got replaced.

To make things more interesting, sometime in the past several years, someone must have drywalled over the main water shutoff valve in the unit, so multiple conversations needed to be had with the HOA and exterior maintenance crew to shut off the water to the entire building. Again, Summit was great in understanding and communicating on scheduling to make sure no one was inconvenienced too much.

Jack performed most of the install, and he was great to work with, especially when I was curious and kept asking questions about what was being installed/tested/worked on and why. He walked me through how the system should perform, what I should look out for in terms of major failures, and got me copies of all the paperwork for each piece of equipment.

With all of the unexpected issues that arose, I couldn't imagine going with another contractor that may skipped steps. At every turn, Summit was there for support and had high quality service, which, in some cases is a rare occurrence. I enjoyed having them install everything and also just enjoyed shooting the shit with them during the process.

I can't thank you guys enough for the help and support, and of course, the lovely, shiny, new equipment!

We just had Summit A/C come out and replace our HVAC units. Brian showed up and explained exactly what we needed, how long it would take to install them, and what the cost would be (including how to file for a rebate). Shane came out with the installation crew to make sure the work was done properly, gave directions on how everything worked, and made sure our condo was cleaned and left in great condition. I would highly recommend this company for all of your heating and A/C needs.

I had a very positive experience today with having my home furnace inspected and tuned by Summit Heating.  Everything was handled professionally and competently, from the phone call scheduling the appointment, to the workmanship by Carl, who performed the service.  He found a water leak in the condensing system that, if not repaired, would have caused serious future damage to the furnace.  He fully explained to me the nature of the leak and how it could be fixed.  Both the inspection and the fix were reasonably priced and I am totally satisfied.  Carl is very personable and knowledgeable and was a pleasure to work with.  I chose Summit primarily because of the good Yelp reviews, and I'm happy to add my positive review to those other reviews.  Highly recommended!

Called these folks for a quote on getting Central AC installed. Extremely responsive, quick call back. The main office scheduled a specialist to put a quote together. The guy did a great job -- explained what I needed to hear and see. He helped explained my existing furnace, the existing ducts and what the options were to retrofit in Central AC. Summit had installers come out repair my existing furnace THAT DAY, and the fixed it in under 1 hour. They were ready to go with AC install as soon as the NEXT DAY. The installers Craig and Sal were extremely quick, thoughtful, and respectful of our property and space, they brought in their own electrician, and I had to plan for nothing. AC was installed in 1 day, it looks very professional, it works great, and most importantly the wife is very happy. I would recommend this to company to anyone looking for experts to help.

We came back from vacation to find our heat out. Called Summit as we were part of their loyalty program ($60 cost) and after three attempts to reach someone over the course of 2hrs without heat we called another company. Disappointed to have wasted money on the loyalty program.

We gave Summit a second chance and they were very nice and well informed. They had fair pricing and nice people so we went with them on our new system. They even refunded the cost of the loyalty program and gave us loyalty discounts on the  installation.

Come time for the city inspection and twice now I have scheduled time with Summit and taken the day off of work to be told someone or something had caused an issue and the city would not be coming.

Nice people, 40% of the time they're great 60% of the time they drop the ball.

Just needed to give another shout out to the Summit Heating & A/C team.  I had my yearly service and MJ was such a great technician.  He called to give me ample notice before he arrived and immediately put shoe covers on.  MJ walked me through my service, gave me some specific steps I can take to continue to maintain my furnace, and then went above and beyond to call and ensure my membership was on the account.  He stayed an extra 10 minutes just to make sure everything was correct and that I got my email with the service info.  Love the addition of the service report with pictures!  You are my number one referral, thank you for continuing to hire amazing people.

Our heat went out at our house yesterday and I was able to get someone to repair it today. I haven't had a furnace repaired s before, but the prices seemed very high for my taste. Perhaps it was my fault for learning the prices of certain parts before calling - note to others, don't do that.

That aside, Preston was great. He was courteous and patient as he talked me through my sticker shock (a good spiel as I am sure they get that frequently).  Most importantly, he got the heat working. (Preston gets five stars)

I am giving three stars because when I called to set up the appointment I asked how much charges usually run and the individual I spoke to would not give me a quote on how much certain average or common repairs might be. However, the technician informed me that all repairs are essentially flat rate and prepackaged. So the individual who booked my appointment could have said to fix the ignitor, our package costs ---- and to fix the flame sensor our service costs ----. Had I known that I could have been a more informed customer and been able to make a more informed decision.

I also did not love that they have their technicians push a membership on their customers. At least for me, it was difficult to understand as I was trying to process sticker shock combined with no heat.

But, they got the heat working and they showed up the same day I called them.

I made an appointment with Summit Heating to give my (18 year old) furnace a tune-up (yearly).  My appointment time was Saturday; window 9-11.  That morning I received a phone call from Josh saying that he was on his way, that he should arrive right about 9am.  He indicated he would be stopping on the way to pick up Starbucks; and did I want one.  First, I had to pinch myself; was this guy really asking if I wanted a cup of Joe from Starbucks (???!!!).  I said yes please!  He arrived on time and with my cup of Starbucks!  Amazing.  I have NEVER had a service technician stop to get me a cup of coffee.  I'm still a little 'weirded out' (pleasantly) about it.    

Josh examined my furnace and found a few things that could use some attention.  I let him know that I have a Homeowners Warranty and did not want to pay for repairs that would otherwise be covered by the Warranty company.  He totally understood.  I asked him to give me 'something' in writing that I could submit to my Warranty people and find out what they were going to do about it.  As of this writing I have not yet done this, but Josh DID get me the 'write up' on the situation.  Josh was very nice, knowledgeable, on time and NOT pushy.  Thank you Josh!  And thank you Summit Heating.  I will definitely be calling in the Spring to have my AC given the once over as well.

I've been working with Summit for over 2 years now. Overall, while the work that they do is good, my 5-star review is because of the trust that they have earned by being committed to doing what is right.

They started with a small job to try and resolve our issue, and then had to do more. Their founders were at our house several times (at no charge) to try and understand the problem. I also trusted that they would get it done right. Their crew spent days at our house making sure the work was done right and in a way that completely minimized the impact to our home's aesthetics.

Our water heater went out on a Friday afternoon. We called around all weekend, but it wasn't until we got a hold of Summit that we found someone to come out after hours.

Daniel was our technician and we could not have had better customer service. He quickly diagnosed the problem.  Unfortunately, he needed to pick up a part from the warehouse which was not open on a Sunday, so we scheduled it for early in the week.

The manufacturer's warehouse did not end up having the part and it looked like we'd have to go another couple days without hot water. Daniel went out of his way calling around town and pooling all of his resources to find the part that we needed. He came out that day and got our hot water heater up and running. I can't say enough great things about Daniel and the service that he provided. Thank you!

Woke up this morning with a foot of snow and a broken heater. I immediately called Summit (who has fixed my AC before) and they gave me a same day service window. I wasn't sure if anyone would be able to get through the snow. An hour later I got a call from Charlie who had transferred all his tools into his personal truck so he could get through the snow, he even showed up early.

Charlie was quick, professional, and overall great. There is no reason to use anyone but Summit, their pricing is fair and the service is fantastic. Charlie went above and beyond today and earned a lifetime customer.

We had an AC problem right during a heat wave. Ugh! With good reviews and a referral from our daughter we went with Summit. We scheduled a visit from them and waited for the day to come. Clearly they are a busy company but the wait was worth it. Ben showed up on time and quickly diagnosed the situation. Our outside lines had froze up and we dreaded the issue. Our AC had worked so well for years that we did zero maintenance which was our mistake. Turns out the filter had completely clogged up. Ben cleaned it and also washed off the AC outside. He also checked how it was running and all was fine! Our house quickly cooled and we became comfortable again. The cost was minimal compared to our fear of hundreds if not thousands of $ to repair or replace it. Ben explained what he was doing and was courteous and knowledgeable. This was an outstanding outcome so this company gets top marks from us! Getting good honest professional service was wonderful. What a relief! Top notch in my book.

We are thrilled with the service and quality of work Summit gave us with our furnace and hot water install.  Our dual furnace was almost 26-years old when one of the units stopped working, and with changes to code over the past two decades, our service team (Tanner and Robbie) had a good amount of work to do to bring it up to code, in addition to simply installing the units.  Tanner and Robbie were polite, wore masks 100% of the time, and kept us informed every step of the way.  We have used other heating companies to do repairs in the past with average results/service.  We recommend Summit highly to anyone needing a new furnace or water heater.

Our furnace began acting up a couple days ago.  The furnace would turn on and the gas would light but the gas would only stay on for about 15 seconds or less.  We called Summit this morning and got an appointment between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. same day.  Technician Ben Andrews showed up just a few minutes past 3:00 p.m.  He asked me to explain the situation.  I told him just as it says above in this review.  He said almost immediately that it just sounded like a small ignitor needed cleaned and it would take about less than a minute to fix the issue.  He went down to the furnace, took the front door off, unscrewed some little needle looking thing, showed me some black marks on it, cleaned it and screwed it back in place.  Literally less than one minute.  Ben turned it back on and it works like a charm.    Ben knows what he's doing.  He treated us and our home with respect.  I'll be calling Summit again when I have HVAC issues.  Thank you Ben Andrews.  We appreciate your knowledge, insight into the heating issue, and the courtesy and respect you showed us in our home.

They went behind my back and called my husband at work.  Note:  I did not give them his phone number!!!! I make the appointments so people are not bothering my husband at work. Such an amazing and easy company to work with! Matt strobel was the technician who came and helped me with my AC. He was FANTASTIC! First off he was on time which I think makes a huge difference so that I did not have to be waiting around all day. Expensive, but you get what you pay for here.

I experienced a furnace failure. I performed my own diagnosis, and decided to collect quotes. Summit charges more for a diagnosis than anyone else, but their availability, timeliness, and communication is commensurately much better.

The technician came out, confirmed the diagnosis, and gave an estimate. The price for the repair was on the high end of reasonable, but still reasonable. I considered DIYing it, but the part wouldn't arrive in time before the temperatures reached below 0, and Summit had an availability the very next morning.

I am confident that I could save money by going somewhere else, but I'd be paying in time, convenience, availability, and being cold :)

I had a completely new AC system installed.

1. I had five different vendors evalute and give me pricing. The ranged from one person saying they could do it over the phone (really?). And then there the utlimate professionals, Summit Heating. Before they gave pricing Jeremy visited our house for two entire days to make sure he had the correct system and specs. He even had the manufacturer rep come to the house to consult on the job as well.

2. Professionals - Soup to Nuts Quality
It took one week to do the install but during that time they were the consummate professionals always cleaning after the workspace and doing high quality work. They handled all of the permits so we didn't have to deal with it.

3. Stand by their work
During the job they broke a mirror and our doorbell. It's an old house and that type of thing is expected. (Things happen!) They gladly offered to credit the amount of each on our bill. They took accountability and made it right.

Bottom Line: These guys aren't the cheapest in town, but they will do the job right and ensure you have a great AC system in the end.

We called Summit on the morning of July 6th to address a non functioning AC unit. I left a message with an answering service. I was called back by Penny in the office. She was very nice! She dispatched Brian Carroll to my house. He was friendly, courteous, professional and most importantly immediately able to diagnose and fix the problem on the spot. Brian was right on time, professional and efficient.  My exhaust vent pipe on my furnace had fallen and water had accumulated in the exhaust fan housing. He quickly strapped the pipe back up with heavy duty straps, drained the water and got the furnace back working.  No parts were needed at this time, and he thought the fan motor was probably ok.  I know what to look for to determine if it is a pressure switch or the fan should it stop working again.  I like to learn how to fix as much as I can on my own, and it was great that he allowed me to watch and explained everything he was doing.  Great service tech and great company.

Ben Andrews came to my townhome today, 8/1, to diagnose problems with my air conditioner. He took as much time as needed to explain the problem and inform me of available options. The price was reasonable, and he did not give me a pushy sales pitch regarding additional services. He was punctual, polite, knowledgeable, and very friendly.

I had Summit Heating & AC come to my house to diagnose my problem with my Carrier furnace.  My furnace was 16 years old and it stopped working.  I had general manager JT Todd and co-owner Dean Peterson came over to diagnose the problem.  I knew and they also showed me that my burners were rusted pretty bad.  The air/gas mixture was not properly mixing and thus my furnace was auto shutting down.  Now we could have them change the burners and re-do everything, which would have been a complete teardown, or replace the furnace.  We went with option 2 to replace the furnace. We replaced our Carrier with a Lennox top of the line Signature Collection SLP98V.  98% efficiency rating, Variable fan speed motor and Silent Comfort fan motor(Superior sound reduction. Very quiet).
Our house 2300 Sq. Ft.(main floor and upsairs) and 1100 Sq. Ft. basement.
We received three different quotes and everyone was very professional and I believe were honest.  We ended up going with Summit for a couple of reasons.  1) They have a 30 day price match guarantee!  If you fine anything lower they will match it!  Remember has to be apples to apples. If you pick a certain model has to be the same model with the other quotes.  2) Lennox has a 10-year limited parts and control warranty, limited lifetime heat exchanger warranty(all quotes included this via Lennox). What set Summit apart is that they included: A) 10 year Labor Warranty!!!!  One company , included one year labor and the other company nothing.  3) 10 year Unit Replacemnt Limited Warranty.  4) One year Ultimate Test Drive!  If you are not satisfied with your unit they will come and uninstall your unit and give you your money back!  5) Summit also included a 1 year Safety and Efficient Agreement, which they come out and inspect your unit for one year (Fall and Spring) at no additional cost(free).  The other companies did not mention any of this.

Now comes the Installation specialist.  I had Topher Rosales.   He was very professional and courteous.  When it came down from teardown to installation, you did not notice they had been there.  Very clean and meticulous!  We came into a little situation due to the Carrier design opposed to the Lennox design when hooking up PVC piping to my Carrier AC unit and this is where JT Todd's expertise showed!  Problem solved and unit installed!

I can honestly say with conviction that my overall experience with Summit was wonderful due to JT Todd(General Manager) and Topher Rosales (Installer).  I look for a company to be honest, back their workmanship and products.  Summit Heating & AC delivered on all three accounts!

Summit was referred to me by a friend.  I wanted a furnace tune-up on my 22 year old Trane furnace. Summit came out the next day......technician MJ.  I was fearful of two things:  1.  That they would say I needed a new furnace since 22 years old, or 2.  upsell of services or parts.  Neither happened.  MJ was very professional, courteous, and proficient.  He pointed out only those things that needed repair (relatively minor), and did not try to upsell me or push me into a new furnace.  Price of repairs seemed a little high, but reasonable.  I will probably be using them for my new furnace (which hopfully isn't needed for another year or two).  Thank you MJ.  It was a pleasure doing business with you.  You represent Summit well.

We have gone through a number of HVAC companies in 17 yrs we owned this home. The original installer would not come back for service calls unless we had a service contract. The next company had good service, but told us the last time we needed service,they were scheduling 3 weeks out . The next company came out and did the minimum but I was not impressed.

I came upon the great reviews for Summit on Yelp and thought I would give them a try. I called on a Friday and Jake came out on Monday, evaluated our furnace, diagnosed the problem and made recommendations on what we should do. Although replacing the high limit switch would have (and did) correct the problem, Jake also made note that the blower motor was pulling more amps than expected and recommended it might be good to swap at the blower motor while they were replacing the switch. Although I was tempted to delay on replacing the motor, I decided to follow his advice and I'm glad I did. When he pulled the old motor out, it was covered with a heavy grimy dirt that looked like it was getting pulled into the motor and decreasing efficiency.

Jake was back first thing the next morning with the parts and had everything replaced and up and running in a little over an hour. Jake was professional, friendly, went out of his way to explain everything -- and my two large dogs loved him.

If you are looking for a new HVAC service company, I would recommend Summit Heating and AC. Their service, responsiveness and professionalism were all worth five stars

I've lived in Colorado for 3 years and this was the single best experience I've had with a contractor since moving here. Jeremy, Erin, and Daniel were awesome! Jeremy did a great job walking me through the process and putting together a competitive offer, he wasn't pushy and was a great consultant. Erin and Daniel were so cool - my dogs even loved them! I really appreciate how they made a fairly invasive 2-day project as simple as possible for me. They communicated timelines, progress, and confirmed every hole before drilling. They also cleaned up after themselves and put in a ton of effort to move carefully through our house and yard. Plus, they were awesome with our 2 crazy dogs, which makes having strangers in the house so much easier!

I appreciate the response, but the fact is I took the time to write a detailed description of what i have been trying to et done through the website now over a week ago.  After I clicked to submit it, I got the typical thank you... page saying my info was submitted and someone would be in touch, etc.  I waited and waited (submitted after hours, as this is my only time to focus on stuff like this).  After a number of days went buy, i continued to do more research and assumed maybe there was just an error, so I wrote up another detailed message and submitted it through yelp on the 5th.  Here is a screenshot of my actual message (copy and paste this link into a browser: screencast.com/t/MyBJh5XH).  zero response again, so this led me to my review that I left here.  so there is no doubt a breakdown in your customer service, which is unfortunate for this specific situation for me.  you said to call you personally, which i would have but you didnt provide any direct contact information.

This is the second major job we have contracted with Summit Heating and A/C and, again, we could not be happier. We had flexible duct work all replaced with rigid ducting and additional trunk line added. Jake was very professional and a joy to work with. He did an excellent job and cleaned up the mess so well that you wouldn't even know he had been in the house except our crawl space looks great! This company restored my faith in customer service! We called them when our A/C would not run ( and it was brand new-installed by our builder) for Denver's first real hot spell this year. They were able to come service our unit the very next morning. Their receptionist was very helpful and polite. Charlie, their technician came to our house the next day at the earlier segment of our two hour window too. He was very courteous and efficient. He quickly showed us that he was very knowledgable and explained everything clearly to us. He WAS able to get our A/C running and corrected the problems we had. We joined their club membership (members will get service discounts) as we plan to call THIS company whenever we have need for Heating or A/C service in the future.

I am very pleased with my interaction with Brennan from Summit Heating and Air. About two weeks ago I woke up and my thermostat said the heat was on, but only cold air was blowing up from the grate.
I called Summit and they told me they could have someone out to me between 12 and 2. And to their word, they were at my place by about 1:45.
Almost as soon as the front was pulled off, we could see the furnace was in trouble (I just moved in and it is clear the previous owners didn't care for it at all). Brennan gave me an idea of what needed to be done and how much it would cost. He went over my poor furnace from head to toe vacuuming, cleaning and rewiring. He got the furnace up and running again!

If my AC is in the same condition as my furnace, I will call on Summit again!

I called Monday morning shortly after 9am, was put on hold and then talked to the answering service. The operator at the service could not clearly understand me at all; I had to repeat everything and spell everything more than once. It was ridiculous. Then she said that I would get a call back but she had no idea when that would be, but did say they were heavily booked. About 15 minutes later, I got a call from another woman who said she could have a tech out between 6-8pm on New Years Eve or on New Years morning for the holiday rate for an evaluation, but not anytime before. I had a bad feeling because the woman who called me back, though promptly, sounded a lot like the answering service operator. If I'm going to have to wait that long, I'd rather find another service, especially when I'm going to be charged more for waiting.

Summit Heating & A/C installed a new heating system in our home in October 2020. It took them three months to get the system working even halfway decent and to this day, we still are not happy with it. Our electrical bills went up about $100/month and now we have learned that the thermostat is not controlling the existing A/C properly so it is not cooling the house. We were told by Summit that if we were not happy with the system, it is a complete 100% money-back guarantee. They do not stand behind that guarantee. Bill told us he would give us some of our money back since it took them so long to get it working but that never happened either. Now they want to charge us a service call to come out and work on a system that they never got to work properly in the first place. This new system that we paid a lot of money for doesn't even work as well as our old heating system. Summit has been a disappointment all the way around.

We had an attic furnace replaced and A/C installed along with all upstairs ducting replaced. I worked with Brian Carroll, Jake and Shane and all were professional and courteous. Communication was clear and their attention to detail was appreciated. They were respectful of noise while we were at home and on calls and completed the install in the time that was estimated. One of the best services I received. Dean and Doug answered all my questions very quickly. They scheduled my service appointment in less than 24 hours. Chris, the certified technician, arrived right on time (literally), diagnosed and fixed the problem and completed his inspection and everything within 50 minutes. High quality service company that makes customer satisfaction their first priority. Could be a little more expensive than your average A/C guy, but it is worth every penny. These are honest people trying to provide the best service they can. I signed up for their subscription package on the same day my AC got fixed. I had a great experience with Summit. My AC condensation pan wasn't draining and I couldn't clear it myself. Called Summit, got scheduled quickly, and Josh came over in a jiffy (on time) to take a look. He immediately diagnosed the problem, fixed the drain with a nitrogen line, and also explained how the system worked so I can now remedy this issue myself if it were to pop up again. The key explanation came around how the drain pump system work --- very informative.

The service call is a standard $99 plus parts / materials of $30 --- I think they're worth it.

On a hot day with a broken swamp cooler, Summit was a breath of fresh air (sorry, I had to).

My technician was polite and informative - he explained everything he was about to do before doing it, and very quickly fixed the issue (the pump needed to be replaced). Within minutes, the swamp cooler was blowing cold air again. He gave me some advice on the best way to run it and maintain it, and I did end up signing up for the membership (since I know I'll need to service it twice a year, it's a no-brainer).

Summit will be the first company I call if I run into future issues. Thank you!

Ben Andrews came to fix my furnace yesterday. He was very nice and professional. After I told him what the problem was and I suspected the ignitor was bad. He checked the ignitor and found that it was indeed bad and need to be replaced. Ben did an amazing job, the total time to get it done was only 30 minutes. The reason I give 2 stars was I was charge $289 for the ignitor which cots only $15.35 online!!! I wish they could charge me a reasonable price for this.

UPDATE 11/1/19 - The service manager Crystal reached out to me today and thought it must have been a mistake and offered me a discount price for the ignitor. I'm happy to give 5 stars this time for their excellent service. Summit seems to be committed to doing what is right and I would recommend them to anyone.

My family has been having persistent furnace issues since our most recent cold snap began.  We have an annual service plan with a different HVAC company, so they were our first place to go in trying to address things.  We've had them out three times now, and all we've gotten from them are quick fixes that would fail within hours and heavy sales pitches (including from the manager we asked to come review the decision of the technicians) to spend thousands of dollars with them for overly complex repairs or new furnace systems.  

We decided that a second opinion would be valuable before we made a multi thousand dollar decision, so we reached out to Summit.  I submitted a request on Yelp and was called back within minutes - this was after 6PM on a Monday.  The scheduler managed to get us an appointment on the next day (no heat situation).  Our technician, Ben Andrews, called us when he was on his way and showed up at the beginning of his scheduled window.  He allowed me to explain what was going on and what our previous HVAC repair technicians have told us.  He then systematically dismantled our furnace in order to diagnose the problem himself while I watched.  He explained what he was doing while answering any questions I asked.  After persistently examining our furnace, Ben identified a significant blockage in our furnace's condensation drain system that our previous HVAC technicians had failed to find during each of their three visits.  After cleaning out the condensation the clog unleashed and vacuuming out the debris, Ben reassembled our furnace.  It has been working continuously since then.  

Our previous HVAC technicians would fix our system so that it would fail within hours and tell us that we needed to pay them thousands to repair the issue.  Ben listen to our problem and took an interest in actually trying to resolve it.  He investigated and cleared all potential sources triggering the error.  As a result, his repairs have been working for several days now.  Even if our furnace is on it's last legs and will eventually need to be replaced, it gives me piece of mind to know that Summit's technicians will do their absolute best to honestly assess and fix the situation before suggesting costly repairs or replacements.  THANK YOU Summit - and specifically Ben - I would enthusiastically recommend you to any of my friends or family.

We needed our A/C serviced and were told by Home Depot to contact ARS. After doing some research we decided NO WAY! They have terrible reviews! Home Depot had already given them our number and it took them 4 days just to call us back! We decided to go with Summit based on their great reviews and I'm really glad we did. We received a call back the same day and a tech was able to come out within the same week. The tech, Chris, was very nice and professional and showed up on time. He was able to diagnose our problem which did not end up being costly. We only paid the $100 service fee.

Unfortunately, the problem was still present 24 hours later. Chris had come out on a Friday and we were worried that we wouldn't be able to get any service on a Saturday without paying emergency fees. We called Summit Saturday morning and received a call back within an hour. The owner arrived in less than 5 min after we hung up the phone! Wow! He took a different approach and fixed the issue in less than 20 min free of charge! I highly recommend them.

I had Eric come out to give me an estimate for my HVAC problems.  I own a 1895 Denver victorian and have several issues with my current situation.  While I did have to wait a bit for an appointment, that didn't bother me.  High demand = good quality.  So Eric came and evaluated my situation.  He even offered to bring me coffee.  So even though I didn't end up buying the system (it was a little beyond my current means) I loved the honesty and clear direct approach.  If I decide to do this next year, I will definitely call Summit again.

Left a message on the website on a Sunday evening when we got an error message on our thermostat.  I received a prompt follow up and was able to book a service call the next day.  After inspecting our system, we were provided with some options and costs.  Service was completed and we've been happy with the results so far.  We would definitely recommend Summit to others.

I just had a new HVAC system (furnace and A/C) installed in my home.  Even during the hottest month of the year, Summit was able to get me on their schedule within a couple weeks.  Craig and Tino arrived on time to begin their two day job.  They were first greeted by my less than accommodating crawlspace which had taken on some water from the recent rainstorm.  They were both so gracious in dealing with the wet ground and mud and made it work.  They were both troopers that kept their positive determination to get the job done and done correctly.  I felt very confident about the installation and had all my questions answered throughout the process.  Very professional.  Plus I want to mention the teamwork that I observed between Craig and Tino.  It was clear that they respected each other and were in lockstep getting the job completed.  Craig showcased his years of knowledge and Tino obviously took every opportunity to learn from him.  Thank you so much!

Thank you to the Summit team.  We had to replace both the AC unit and furnace.  Everyone was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.  Craig and Sal showed up right on time for the install.  They were respectful of the property and friendly.  They went above and beyond to make sure the job was done correctly.  Even though working on a 90+ year old house never goes as planned, they took the extra time to do it right.  Thanks Craig and Sal!  You guys are awesome.

I called today to get my AC looked at because it wasn't starting up, and they responded extremely fast. It took very little effort on my part. Within two hours, the technician had already come to the house, diagnosed the issue and assisted me  resolving it.  Brian was very professional, very helpful, and answered all my questions. He helped me with what my next steps should be, and discussed all the options going forward.  I will definitely be Summit again if/when I need my heating or A/C serviced.

WOW!! I will never have a need for another heating or air conditioning company! I have had a number of bad experiences with contractors over the years: from missed appointments, to pushy salespeople, and even attempts to overcharge and overprice, but I experienced none of that with Summit Heating & AC. My experience started with a wonderful woman on the phone named Dianne. She is a hoot! Then, from the time Jeremy entered my home (with shoe covers) to provide what he called a guaranteed proposal with no hidden fees and a proposed investment guarantee, they exceeded my expectations.

Jeremy spoke so highly of the company ownership and their commitment to excellence I decided I could trust them with the work I needed done. Not to mention Summit was very fairly priced compared to a number of other companies I had bid the work. A couple of companies never even followed up with me after they left or ever even got me a price!

Jeremy explained every step of the process and never made me feel pressured. The installation crew showed up bright and early as promised just 3 days later. They were courteous and meticulous about the work they were doing throughout the day, even putting up with my daughter asking them a million questions! (Like What are you doing? What are you doing now? Why is it so hot in here? Are you done? Are you done now?) At the end, Jack set up and explained how my new thermostat would work and sync to my phone and Joseph walked the entire job with me at the end of the day. He even called me a few hours later just to check in and make sure the house had cooled down to the set temperature! If you're looking for a wonderful, family friendly company that will treat you with respect, Summit is the right choice

I am updating my review now that Summit has stood by everything they said they would. I was contacted less then 30 minutes after my Yelp post, my invoice was emailed less then 30 min. after talking to one the owners of Summit.  
( by the way , he was on vacation dealing with this) they did send me $500.00 just got it today. Here's the thing , a guarantee for the $250.00 if job not completed on they day wasn't a selling point for me, I was going with Summit because of your reviews, but when you guys did go a day longer and my husband brought it up, the guarantee of $250 he was told he should not have been told a day was not long enough and nope sorry! Then I ask my husband where is the invoice? And no invoice I was now wondering what did we just do? Thank you for honoring your guarantee double, but I hope that the big guarantees are honored if, let's all hope that we don't need them are honored. Your crew where GREAT! It's just unfortunate about the 2 troubles we had. Thank you for all your hard work from beginning to end. Merry Christmas.

Mike was extremely professional and knowledgeable. Although we aren't able to proceed at this point due to finding that we needed a new furnace and additional things due to our current duct infrastructure - we are glad we know about it. I had my to have my furnace serviced for the sale of my condo and found Summit via yelp. They were quick to respond to my quote request and get a service call scheduled. Mike came out today and did an excellent job. He was personable and professional and left me with more knowledge of how to properly maintain my furnace. Overall the entire experience was great and I opted to enroll in their customer loyalty plan so that I can keep on top of my HVAC maintenance with a company I can trust.

We have used this company since 2016 I believe. Very nice people a d they are always available to come quick and help you out. That portion I give a 5 star. However, after this last year using them, it sickens me how they can rip people off. Last year our furnace went out three time and spent over 2000 to fix them. It went out again last night and had them come out this morning. Very nice guy and their customer service is great. He quoted us $1000 to have our gas valve replaced and our igniter...but their main recommendation was to just purchase a new furnace because the brand we have is a money hugger and once one thing goes out they all do...we got a second opinion thank God. Turns out it has nothing to do with out igniter. The valve had a shortage which fried the board as well. The person who fixed it for us we only paid $395! Over 1000- 10k to fix or replace with summit! Who knows how much money we blew away and got ripped off for last year with the things they quoted is ...their quotes are not honest quotes and always add extra items in there that are also going out. I would not recommend them anymore for an honest HVAC company.  Sad that they rip off people that much. Will no longer be using them unfortunately.

Summit Heating & A/C did a great job on my air conditioner install in August,  2020.  Josh came out to examine my original-to-the-house a/c of 26 years.   I knew it was on its last legs, and he gave me some good advice to not fix it and throw away good money, when the unit was so old, it would need to be replaced shortly, anyway.   On the day of install, Craig & Ray did a fabulous job.  They arrived at like 8:30am and worked tirelessly until 4pm.  They cleaned up everything and didn't leave me any mess or parts to dispose of myself, and they even fixed the crooked ductwork that was installed with my furnace replacement 8 years ago.  Craig & Ray were not only clean and efficient,  they were not loud (as I'm stuck working at home due to COVID).  Totally recommend Summit, and I signed up for the regular service plan.  I finally have found my permanent HVAC company!  Thank you, Summit!

My experience with this company was stellar.

They provided me one of several bids for a furnace and central AC install in the 1980s townhome we just moved into in Lakewood, and they were honestly the only people I feel like did the right thing. Mike arrived promptly and did a full load calculation -- that is, he used geothermal data to decide exactly which machine would be most efficient for our property. He answered all of my questions clearly and succinctly, laid out the options, and when the actual install ran into a little delay, they refunded us $250 as per their company guarantee.

HVAC work is expensive and can be frustrating, but I felt super confident doing business with this company, and they treated us well.

From A/C Apocalypse to GREATNESS!

The first thing you need to know, is when you hire a contractor, it doesn't really matter how well they've done in the past, all that matters is what they've done in your home.  And when you have a company that is doing things right like Summit (based on my research and reading their reviews), the business is bound to grow and will need to hire new people. When a business hires new people, they can call references, train them, and then trust them on their own. Unfortunately; that is where my experience started with Summit. (Bear with me, read to the end! I promise it ends as you would hope.)

The two-man team that was assigned to my project was in their first week out on their own with Summit.  Despite over 30 years of combined experienced, they practically destroyed my ceiling over the course of 2 hours of sawing, used shortcuts like shoving cardboard under an A/C foot to keep it from shaking, showed up HOURS late (twice), didn't bring all of the equipment (twice), vanished for hours at a time, didn't listen to requirements concerning the outside of the house and put in a system that in no way could be trusted to have been installed correctly as a result.

Before I chose Summit, I agreed to complete the anticipated ceiling repair myself in order to save myself a couple of bucks. I've done a lot of repairs such as this around the house, so as long as they made clean cuts, I was happy to patch a couple of holes where the refrigerant lines would need to be run in my finished basement.  Well, they made ragged cuts through corners, supports and corner bead material and DIDN'T EVEN LEAVE THE PIECES BEHIND for the repair.  Based on the hundred+ 5 Star Reviews I've read about this company I just couldn't believe ANY OF THIS could be a true representation of their service!  

However, my first experience with an hvac contractor installing an A/C was with ARS / Rescue Rooter Colorado.  They had messed it up royally too and I was just starting to think this is how the hvac industry is.  The running theory is ARS had found a unit that had been sitting in the back corner of their warehouse for 15 years and installed it in my home (I found out the gas connectors hadn't been the standard in many years, the year after it was installed).  

Back to the present. I brought my concerns with this latest AC install to Mr. Kable, my Comfort Advisor at Summit Heating & A/C and I was immediately contacted by one of the owners.  They were extremely empathetic to my situation, were sickened by the experience I had to that point, and scheduled a day and time to meet with me at my home to review the work that had been completed. Their shock at what I was communicating was very apparent.  

One day later the owners showed up to see for themselves what this newly hired install team had done. These gentlemen were true professionals, and I learned they even teach The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People to their team on a weekly basis. I also soon learned that the new install team that had completed my installation had already been terminated because of similar situations in their first week.  It was explained that this new installation team had been vetted by a previous employer and they had even done an outstanding job during their training period (under direct supervision).  Unfortunately, they turned out to be the kind of guys that needed to be constantly supervised.

The owners inspected the system end-to-end, taking pictures that were to be used for a company-wide training session for their installers the following week.  What this company's ownership did next was astounding, and to be quite frank, a breath of fresh air.  

At my convenience, without any begging or pleading from me, they made the decision to have their top team come to my home, pull every inch of the system out and install all new equipment and materials. ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING WAS NEW without any argument whatsoever! The A/C unit, refrigerant lines, indoor coil, the outdoor condenser, I mean everything!  This had to cost this company thousands of dollars, and it came directly from the company's pocket just to make it right.   The install team even cleaned up the holes in the ceiling so that the HOLES looked better while waiting for the professional drywall repairman that Summit hired at their expense!  Their professional drywall repairman was so good you can't even tell there was ever even a cut to my finished basement.

Anyone who has the responsibility of hiring new employees knows that there are a percentage of people that interview great, train well and end up being a colossal mistake.  It happens to every company and it always will.  What is important is how the company responds when there is a problem.  Summit Heating & A/C made it right in a big way, without any argument, and did more than I could have ever expected.
My new air conditioning system now looks perfect, and works perfectly!

Ah-mazing. I reached out to Summit Heating & AC after reading through reviews on Yelp. They did not disappoint! Jeremy did a great job looking at the HVAC system and made great recommendations for my condo. My experience was so great that I passed the info on to my neighbors and 3 other neighbors also got new systems installed. Jeremy and team were absolutely great throughout the process. Jeremy and team were patient with my texts and calls and explaining the process to me, and my neighbors agree! They deserve all the accolades they have received and will continue to recand I am forever grateful for them.

Summit was great... I had them come to give me a second opinion after being told my A/C system had to be fully replaced. Chris was my technician... he did an inspection and found that the capacitor had blown.  This repair was under $400 and he was able to fix it on the spot.  Summit saved me literally thousands of dollars.

They do good work, no complaints there, but they are hard to reach. Whenever I have called, I always get to their answering service, regardless of the season I have called (spring, winter, doesn't matter), so they take a message and have to have somebody call back, which is not convenient. I've never gotten directly through to them. I always get the message that we are experiencing higher than expected volume, etc. Have been getting that message for over a year. I am always half tempted to use a different company because of the difficulty in getting ahold of them, but the work they've done on my heater and my swamp cooler has been good.

Everyone at this company is extremely nice, helpful and knowledgeable. Jennifer and Brandy got back to us right away after we called and helped us get everything scheduled. Both ladies were super amiable and easy to talk to. In addition they worked with us after hours and gave us their numbers to contact them directly. They have gone above and beyond. We have had Josh, Matt and Macke at our house recently for work and we are so impressed with how kind, personable and friendly all three guys have been. I was exceptionally impressed with Summit Heating & AC.  Our AC unit went out on one of the hottest days of the year, and Summit, as it is based in Littleton, called me 20 minutes after my late night call.  Benjamin arrived in a crisp, clean uniform, assessed the problem, and offered two options to remedy the problem.  And, he showed me the blown up part that could have started a fire!  We received fast service (under 30 minutes,) courteous assistance.  He is clearly S master electrician who had all the parts in his vehicle.

I'd recommend Summit Heating & AC to anyone needing honest, well/educated help.  They are so very helpful.

I moved into a house with baseboard heating, which is new to me, and every single room in the house has its own pipes and thermostat and they were going crazy, not turning off. Josh came out, diagnosed the problems, fixed a couple of shorts, and then, when I panicked that it was still broken, Josh came back to the house again to walk me through the basics of baseboard heating (which he couldn't do on the first visit because that day I was attempting to multitask on a day off and had multiple people working on things in the house). Great service!!

I cannot believe the amazing and honest service that I received from Kable from Summit Heating and A/C!! He is the best!
I'd been without heat for the last two months of winter. And I'd been without A/C for the entire month of May.  I figured I probably needed an entire new hvac system, but thought I'd get a couple of estimates to compare, and see if my unit was repairable. Trying to keep a long story short! The other Heating and A/C companies tried to sell me new units. And one even told me that my control board was shot, and needed replacing. But that I might as well just replace the whole unit rather than putting money towards repairs!
I had to wait two weeks for an appointment with Summit. And temps were high 80's almost 90 already.
Well, the wait was worth it!
Kable with Summit arrived and inspected the unit, and found out it did not yet need to be replaced! Nor was the control board broken. All that needed to be done was some cleaning around the flame sensor!
It took less than ten minutes to clean it, and my heating and A/C unit is running just fine.  I was so happy and grateful for this honest person that showed up at my door today, that I almost cried!! I had been so stressed for the last month trying to figure out how I was going to afford a whole new unit being a single Mom.  I highly, highly recommend this company!!
I will always call them for any of my Heating and A/C servicing needs going forward.

Had an issue with a Furnace in one of my rentals. It's freezing today, so I thought it will be impossible to get someone in to fix it. Called Summit and spoke to Jessica. She was very professional and patient. She scheduled us for the afternoon. Even though she told us 3-5pm, she still called me around 1pm, to give me a heads up that it will be closer to 5pm. That was very considerate. Joshua was our Technician. He was on time and very friendly. Inspected everything and found the root cause quickly. We had tried to replace a Thermostat ourselves but he made our existing one work and fixed the Furnace. So that saved us money, since we didn't even need a new Thermostat. He explained every single step in detail and in terms that I could totally comprehend. He gave me options and fixed the issue in no time. I am always skeptical with these types of work, since I'm not familiar with what needs to be done and am working with a limited budget. This company is exceptional. They are a family business that clearly prides themselves in having long term relationships with their customers. I have a couple of rentals and feel relieved now that I have finally found good folks that I can depend on.

Ben was our technician.  He called ahead and said he was early and asked if it was ok to come ahead of schedule.  He offered to bring me coffee!  Ben was very thorough and professional.  At the end, he went through the 21 point inspection with me, bullet by bullet.  He did not try to sell me anything...no warranties, annual programs, etc!.  I was very, very impressed with his knowledge and they way he represented himself and the company.  Will definitely be using them in the future!

Called Summit Heating on Friday AM for an appointment the same day and they were able to squeeze me in for a 3pm-5pm window. Around 5pm I was wondering if the Tech was going to show up. Left a message with the after hours answering service and within 15 mins a received a call back that the Tech was stuck at another job and would not make it. Summit front office worked over the next 30 mins to get me a 8am spot on Saturday morning and waived the extra surcharge since my original appointment was not fulfilled due to their issue. Ben came out on Saturday morning and did a fantastic job clearing up all the weird issues with my Trane furnace. I was pleased with the quick follow-up when appointment was not made and great Tech Ben fixing our issues.

Summit removed a swamp cooler and replaced with an air conditioner that worked well for a year.  When we started having issues this spring, they sent their best and brightest to remedy the situation.  They stand by their service and hire great people that are knowledgeable.  We would do business them again in heart beat.

The installer Jake showed up on time on efficiently finished the furnace replacement by mid afternoon. All of the old gear including the 40 year old non-functional humidifier were removed. Aside from the necessary furnace replacement, he and his co worker suggested a better orientation for the new furnace making it easier to access and solving a code problem with the previous exhaust piping. It passed inspection with no problems.

Great company!  Mike Valencia came out to our home to advise us on a furnace replacement. After a thorough inspection of our house, Mike found us one that fit our budget and needs. He kept in touch to advise me on everything from the installation to the final inspection. Nathan did a great job on the install and was also very informative.  The whole process was painless and I really appreciate their customer service, the quality of their work, and the level of professionalism.

My Lennox HVAC fan won't turn on when thermostat switch turned from auto to on.  My home warranty company sent a contractor, who told me that fan only was NO OPTION for my model.  I called Lennox manufacture next day, who said that was not true and recommended me to contact their preferred local dealer: Summit Heating Co.  I talked with Summit and another independent contractor and both concurred that the home warranty company sent contractor was incorrect.

Next day, I called Summit to schedule an appointment.  Josh came the same day and called 30 to 45 minutes before the appointment to let me that he was on the way.  Josh diagnosed and fixed the problem within minutes of his arrival.  Now my HVAC fan works whenever I turn thermostat fan switch from auto to on.  

Summit Heating Company customer services from their owners to their  technicians and their representatives is top notch.  Their service call fee rate is even $35 lower than my home warranty company sent contractor, and they get repairs done.

We had a great experience with Tanner installing a new humidifier at our home.  Tanner was knowledgeable about the product being installed, walked me through what he was doing, how to monitor, and how to adjust throughout the year.  We will definitely call Summit again for our heating needs, as the associates we have worked with - and their third party partners - have been incredibly reliable and dependent.

The office was able to schedule an appointment for the next day.  MJ arrived on time and did a thorough job finding the problem with our heating system.  While he had to return the next day with the correct part, he took the time to determine that the part in question was still under warranty with Amanda, saving us a considerable amount of money.  We would use this company again without hesitation.

I came home Friday at 5:30 pm to find my furnace blowing cold air with a temperature of 61 degrees. Summit came up in my search as having 24-hour service and they had good reviews so I gave them a call.  The dispatcher was friendly and helpful and gave me a couple things to try because a lot of the times it's a dirty filter, she was also very clear on the after-hours trip/diagnostic charge.  Well, I couldn't figure out where the filter went so I asked them to come out.  My tech (Joshua) gave me a call to say he'd be there within the hour and could he pick me up a cup of coffee to warm me up.  I was actually speechless at the offer, that has NEVER happened to me before.  He showed up and it was...a gross and dirty filter.  But, now I know where the filter goes and now I have an HVAC company I will use in the future.  It was a great experience and I highly recommend Summit, and Joshua.

I went for a little research tour on Yelp and Google to look at customer reviews. Decided to call Summit Heating and AC to have a new AC unit installed at my house. From the first visit with my Summit Tech to the first rate install (2) days later I have turned into a no need to call anyone else Summit customer. This group of guys that I was pleased to meet did a really fantastic job. They were here to do a job and they did not mess around got the unit installed and working in (4) hours (I have a small unit, and a small house). Feel very confident in recommending them to you.

So after 5 trips from another HVAC company over a couple days (that came highly recommended) and STILL not fixing my heating problem, I was beyond frustrated.  I went on Yelp and did a search and Summit was at the top of the list.  It was a Sunday night so I called and figured I'd leave a vmail and hope they call on Monday, but I wasn't sure what to expect.  To my shock, a woman answered the phone.  We literally spoke for maybe 30min about all the problems I was having and my incredible frustration with my recent HVAC vendor experience.  She was amazing, sympathized with me on what happened and told me that someone would be at my house at 9am then next morning and get things fixed.  She said their team is very well trained and would solve my problem.  I still had doubts but figured I had nothing to lose.  Sure enough, right at 9am the doorbell rings and it's someone from Summit.  Super nice, professional and immediately started to troubleshoot the problem I was having. Within a couple hours, the problem was identified and fixed.  From my prior bad experience, I told him that I was going to wait a few days before claiming success.  IT's been about 2wks and the furnace is working flawlessly.  I cannot thank Summit enough for the excellent work and outstanding customer service.  They went so far beyond my expectations.  They even talked me out of having to replace my furnace.  Quite frankly, I'm still in shock.  Thank you Yelp for proving such a great service.  I would have never found these guys without Yelp.  Summit truly is the best and it's well deserved!

My experience with Summit Heating and Air Conditioning was bad. I scheduled an appointment to provide an estimate for complete replacement of my central AC system. The appointment was scheduled for 10:00am this morning. I took time off work, went to my home and waited. Finally at 11:11am I received a call from the estimator saying that he was ~30 minutes out and on his way. To be fair, he was apologetic and nice. The issue seemed more on the dispatch team than on him, so I obliged.

He finally called back at 12:03pm (two hours+ after our appointment), saying he needs more time, and that he would try to make it by 1:00pm. At that point, I told him to cancel the appointment.

To Summit... please understand that people have jobs, and that many of us take time off of our jobs to meet you at our homes. I took more than two hours off of work to meet your estimator, and your team never even came. This was a $4k+ job for your company that is now gone. Additionally, I will not hesitate to provide a negative review for your company when given an opportunity.

To the estimator... you seem like a nice guy, and I'm sorry that this situation seemed to stress you out. From what I could tell, it was the dispatch team's fault, and not yours. Thank you for the calls.

Josh cane by today and fixed our swamp cooler system and took time to educate us on how to properly use this system as we are new home owners and have never had swam cooling system. I typically don't write reviews unless I experience exceptional service (bad or good), and I had a great experience in this case. It was just yesterday that I woke up to a furnace that wouldn't stay on, so I looked through Yelp reviews and decided to contact these people. I called at 8 when they opened and was surprised to hear they had availability that day. They were able to get to me before my scheduled time (they called to verify that it was ok to come early), and it was a quick and easy service. Ben was my technician and he was nothing short of helpful and professional. I commend him and this company, and would happily recommend them to anyone needing furnace service.

This experience has turned out better than expected!  From the initial consultation with Chris, to today when they left has been exceptional!  Chris spend over an hour with us looking at what we need and thoroughly discussing our options.  They had scheduled us for two days, because we were replacing the furnace and air unit.  Joseph showed up today, and was able to get a second crew, Craig, to come help; and they finished the entire job in one day.  Joseph showed us how to use the new system completely!  I only know Joseph and Craig's names, but the entire crew they had here was just amazing!!!!  Fast, efficient, and very friendly.  We highly recommend them!  I really can't say enough about how impressed we are with this company.  It's really beyond what we expected.  Thank you so much!!!!

Monday morning, my 18 year old water heater was leaking.  Paul came out in a couple hours, declared it dead, and gave me an upfront quote on how much it would cost to replace.  I live in a house that's over 120 years old - and he was careful to notice all the interesting aspects of our plumbing, chimney, etc. so there would be no surprises.  The next day, Jake and Topher came out and did an amazing job replacing my old water heater and left my basement cleaner than when it started.  Everyone was on time, communicated well over the phone, and was pleasant to work with. The cost was exactly what was originally quoted, and no one tried to up-sell me things that I didn't need (I had other companies try to sell me a new furnace, upgrade my electrical, make me go tank-less, etc. while I wanted was a replacement old school 40 gallon water heater!)  Summit and team turned a nightmare of losing all my hot-water into an easy hassle free experience.  Recommend 100%!

I had several issues with my radiant heating from leaking couplings, dead circulating pump and some code violations from the original installation.  Josh and team came in explained everything that needed to be fixed and then completed the job quickly and efficiently.  Once complete, they walked me through the repairs and then ensured that every heat zone was in working as it should.  They left the bolier room cleaner and more organized than it was previously. UPDATE:

While I was disappointed with my experience per my original review below, this company impressed me with how they truly cared to remedy the situation.  
- JT (their general manager) personally called and visited to apologize, especially as he never got my message for a call back.  He then went through a very honest assessment of our true needs and never pushed any product.  JT is highly knowledgable and someone who genuinely cares to make sure the customer is happy.  Summit won my business back as a result (I was also impressed with how one of the owners of the company came by to also apologize).  
- Regarding the BBB rating, the company (like many small businesses) never focused on it historically but recently fixed it to be at A+, another sign that they will do what is right.  

At the end of the day every company makes mistakes or has an employee issue from time to time.  The response to a mistake is what sets apart a great company and Summit has proven to be exactly that.

We had a great experience with a repair Summit conducted on our A/C so we decided to get a quote from them on replacing our entire AC and heating systems.  Very disappointed by our experience so we decided to take our business elsewhere for the following reasons:
1) The salesmen constantly kept over-selling us systems we did not need and kept trying to pressure us to make a deal that same day.  We absolutely were not willing to move forward on such a big purchase without doing our research (and we did end up confirming the oversell of systems after having two other companies come in and do their evaluations).
2) When I requested a call back from management no one ever bothered to call back. I'm sure they figured out they couldn't up-sell someone who had done their research and wasn't worth their time.
3) As part of my research I discovered this company has an F rating with the Better Business Bureau.  While Yelp reviews are important, I would never recommend doing business with a company with such a poor BBB rating.

I called Summit after reading their glowing reviews as the A/C unit in my condo was acting up. I explained to them that I had heard from other companies that this specific type of A/C unit needed specialized technicians. They assured me they could service it as long as it was not located on the roof (it is not). They scheduled me out 5 days with a two hour arrival window. The day of the appointment, I got a call from the technician stating he was 20 minutes out. This was great as he was going to be there right at the beginning of the window they had given me. After waiting 50 minutes and not seeing him, I called the company. They informed me that the technician had driven by the building, realized that they don't service these A/C units (apparently he knew this based off of being at the building before?), and had left. I was not called or informed of this. Additionally, he never even laid eyes on the actual condo or A/C unit. Very frustrating to be promised one thing and for a different thing to occur but what made it worse was the lack of communication.

Wow. Just wow. Called for an A/C tuneup before the season ramped up. Josh was able to show up earlier than expected and very effectively worked through our system. My 16-year-old is interested in being an HVAC repairman and Josh spent a great deal of time teaching and talking to him about our system and my sons job prospects. He even answered a quiz my son busted out about HVAC systems. He didn't try to sell us anything but warned us of some impending work we could expect to need done eventually. My husband was so impressed with every aspect of this visit. Josh had amazing communication skills and was a consummate professional. We have certainly found our HVAC company for life.

We just had a furnace, AC, hot water heater and electrical lines brought up to code through SH&AC. Craig, Xavier, Sal and Kent (electrician) were friendly and knowledgeable. I have a 21 year old high functioning autistic son and they were having to work in his space. They took the time to ask me what they could do to make him more comfortable. I told them how clean and orderly he is and they laid drop cloths on everything and cleaned up after each day they worked. My son would inspect the area after they left and gave a thumbs up. They walked me through how to use the new installed equipment and were a pleasure to work with. And also big for me as I am all about rescue and my dogs....they were great with them also and made certain all gates were closed properly. I would recommend SH&AC. Very people oriented and they know their stuff.

Wow, these guys are professional and so friendly and happy to explain the problem and how they're going to fix it.
My daughter in Denver had an AC clogged pipe. Chris came and cleaned it out, double checked it before he left and decided it needed a little more work. Excellent and the unit is now working properly.
We've also had do some work and, again, excellent and explained the problem and the solution when Jared came.

I was amazed by Summit, and that started with my initial call and ended with my evaporative cooler working! The gentleman I worked with, Brennan was truly a professional and was polite as well. He took the time to walk through options, found a leak in my crawl space, and even recommended a water damage company. My case was not that easy and these people call when they say they are going to, do a fantastic job and make you feel like you are an important customer. Rare these days!!!!! Amazing! Calling for service as a new customer because your air conditioning goes out on Good Friday at noon and a very nice serviceman arrives within 4 hours and fixes it within 50 minutes? Unheard of right? That is exactly what happened when I called Summit today to get service for my 86 yo mother. I was shocked and ecstatic. My mother said the young man was so polite and helpful. She was so relieved he was able to fix because her home faces west and gets quite hot even this early in the spring. Thank you, thank you, thank you Summit. I cannot find one good thing to say about this company. In fact, I had such little trust in the technician that came out, whom I paid $135.00 for a diagnosis, that I called another company. The tech did absolutely nothing except tell me that I need a new A/C unit. He wanted to schedule me right away, then a comfort team would come to assess my house, which takes approximately 3 hours, then we would schedule the install. Extremely disappointing! There are other, more trust-worthy HVAC companies out there. There should be a refund involved here.

I received a call from Doug, one of Summit's owners, he has offered to refund the $135.00 and send out a different tech to diagnose my unit. I am so impressed by Doug's stand up resolve and the care he has for Summit's reputation; unheard of today.

He was extremely professional, courteous and knowledgeable. I was so impressed by him that we decided to turn the visit from an estimate to a service visit. I have been a Summit Heating & A/C Customer for the past 7 years typically having them come out to do a furnace and AC check up at the start of each season.  I am continually impressed by the level of professionalism, integrity and customer service right from the office staff that handle the bookings through to the service professionals.  Josh typically handles the tunes and I particularly appreciate the fact that despite our furnace and AC units being beyond their estimated life and the fact I was prepared for the potential replacement on the horizon, until recently, he would advise that they are still operative for another season which demonstrates a great deal of integrity.  Jeremy handles the estimates for new units including a hot water tank we had Summit install a few years ago and is clearly knowledgeable which provides a high degree of comfort given this is an area well outside my expertise.  Highly recommend Summit!

The owner, Doug Wyatt contacted me and explained the issues felt with all the modern technology. This is a stand up company and will do whatever is necessary to make things right. They have integrity and a reputation for customer satisfaction. After reading the message Doug  sent me, I can tell that this company treats customers as if they were family. Very impressed with Summit, their response time after hours held up in the 1hour response, and the tech that responded, Josh, was very professional and did a great job. I didn't feel I was being oversold or price gouged (taking advantage of someone with no heat on a cold Jan night) and he took care of the problem perfectly and left us with a warm house an hour later (our problem ended up being a faulty thermostat). As homeowners in a new neighborhood, we joined the club membership program: big selling point that it prioritizes you in future calls with service and part discounts applied immediately.

Let me just say....Josh from Summit was out today, and he diagnosed my A/C system issue within minutes. As it turns out, there was NO leak at all. My system was just overcharged, so it was being overworked.  Josh was able to remove some refrigerant and normalize everything! And at a substantial savings, to boot, because there was no expensive repair required!  I am already planning on having them come back out in the fall to service the heater and verify that's also running smoothly. I will definitely be using Summit for all of my future HVAC needs, as well as recommending them to everyone I can.

I recently called Summit to schedule someone to look at my thermostat in my condo that was not working properly. As I tried to explain to the woman who answered my call some more details I was repeatedly interrupted by her stating that I needed to contact the management company of the property. I explained to her that from my understanding that I'm responsible for the thermostat in my unit and the management company is not. I was quite surprised by her response given that I wasn't told I was speaking to a technician from Summit and when I explained this same scenario to other companies I contacted prior but couldn't book to come out in the short timeframe I had, they didn't even try to brush me off in this manner. I was disappointed at how I was treated and dismissed when I was trying to contact experienced professionals for assistance but apparently I would never know how professional they are given I didn't get past the unprofessional dispatcher.

WE had a furnace issue and solicited for bids. Summit responded via YELP site, and arranged for an appt. They were very timely on their setup for the appt, as well as updated on the arrival of the tech (Charlie). We were informed of the issue(s) with the 25+ year old furnace, and given several options from Summit for the bidding on the work. They were quick, up front,and seamless in the assessment, and bidding info, and we never felt obligated in this competitive business.
We did have another option, for which we applied, but highly recommend Summit to be inclusive on anyone bidding process. They were receptive to the bid denial, but I couldn't close without saying that Charlie was an effective representative for this company, and very informative on their options when relaying our decision. Thank you Summit for making ease of mind when searching for services needed. We are grateful for this classic customer service appeal.

I do NOT do heat. When I turned my AC on this Spring and found that it wasn't working, I panicked. Summit was my first phone call. Diane was amazing! This was a Friday afternoon so I was skeptical that anything could happen until Monday but I was so wrong! Diane was able to get AJ out to my house within AN HOUR!! And AJ was even more fantastic! I had a whole house humidifier installed by Summit Heating. They were quick to respond to Yelp messages, they had a knowledgeable guy out here quickly to check my setup and answer any question.
The install team showed up the day after I agreed to the installation and they were also really nice and thorough with their work. I had a smart thermostat they hadn't worked with before but they figured everything out and got it setup just the way I wanted. We subscribed to the membership service a few years ago and I'm so glad we did because they were out there in less than 2 hours! I came home from work today and my furnace was not working.  Talk about cold. I called 6 or 7 HVAC Companies and no one could come look at it until the next day, which is not helpful in this temperature.  Jordan from Summit promptly returned my call and got someone out here within an hour.  I really appreciate her remaining courteous in light of the fact that I was extremely agitated at having already called several companies.  Brian arrived and was able to make the repair.  Having heat is usually a good thing when it is 15 degrees outside and snowing.  Thanks Summit.

But usually they took a quick look, maybe a measurement or two, and then offered a solution consisting of you need to install this ($10,000+) system to fix your issue. Case closed. (mind you, I already have a functioning A/C).

Jeremy concurred that an expensive system was the *best* fix, and his price on that system wasn't the cheapest I received. But, realizing that I wasn't sold on that plan, he put on his professor/mad scientist hat and got to work preparing a custom Plan B solution to upgrade my current set-up. Other guys took a measurement or two and tossed out some off the cuff estimates. Jeremy pulled out some crazy slide-rule for HVAC guys and started doing calculations of airflow volumes and capacities, scribbling feverishly on a scrap of paper, doing full blown math, brainstorming and asking questions, sticking his phone down holes to take pictures and figure out what my ducts look like...and ultimately coming up with a solution that would meaningfully enhance my current set-up, at a price I thought was fair (not 'cheap', but fair).  He was at my house for 2.5 hours on a free quote.  It was obvious he is passionate about (and very good at) his work.  He wanted to solve the puzzle. And he did.  And when it came time for the work to be done, it was flawless.

If you're doing something really easy, there are probably cheaper people you can call. If you need an expert solution from a company that takes pride in their work, then call Summit.

These guys have been great. I'm very happy with my new swamp cooler and ductwork. The guys who showed up actually provided me with a better configuration of vents than we had initially talked about; they were very invested in getting me the best possible system for my money.

There were a couple snafus, which were quickly  remedied.  They took longer than the promised 2 days, so I was compensated as promised with a check. Some of the water ducts came unglued, and a technician was sent out to fix it as soon as I called.

All in all, I'm very pleased with the product and the customer service.

Great experience with Summit as a whole. My first time having to do this major of a home owner's replacement so very cautious but have been quite pleased.  Brian was great to work with in sales, to the point, didn't try to over sake me, just gave me the options with the pros & cons, which I appreciate.  Most importantly, very responsive in communication with any questions throughout the process. He even took pity on me and loaned me a spot cooler as my system was completely kaput. It was a life saver truly with the recent heat. Furthermore,  Craig and Sal were simply the best installers! They called with plenty of time for a heads up and right on time. They literally worked all day, no lunch, no breaks (that I could tell) And in 90+ degree heat. Very respectful of my property  & sweet to my dog & kitty. Believe they also took pity and stayed late to finish the job--Thank you gentlemen, truly!!! And perfect timing looking at 100 degrees tomorrow.

Our heat went out tonight around 7.30.  I called Summit Heating and A/C and MJ came out and did a great job.  He showed me what the issue was and the proper way to fix the issue.  Within 15 minutes, we had heat again.  MJ was professional and courteous.  The person on the phone was great also.  I would highly recommend Summit Heating and A/C.

Summit Heating & A/C did an excellent job on my annual tune up for my heater and air conditioner. Joe was my technician and he was professional, knowledgeable, and did an excellent job following all of the COVID safety guidelines.  He gave me suggestions on things I could do to make my unit last for years.  My air condition unit outside was really dirty because of the fires we have had in Colorado.  I can't believe how clean they look now!  This was my second visit from them.  My first visit was two years ago. My home is only a few years old and I had furnace problems right after my builder 1 year warranty was up.  I needed a new motherboard which is SO expensive.  They contacted the furnace manufacturer and were able to get me my parts for free.  I couldn't believe it!  So I had them come back to check everything out today, especially after all of our dirty air this summer from the fires.  I highly recommend this company.  Their honesty and help to cut cost for a senior citizen will keep me coming back!

Jake from Summit serviced our heater in advance of the Fall weather.  The heater ran okay, but was very loud.  Jake quickly diagnosed the problem--an old worn down inducer motor.  He had to call many distributors before he finally found a new motor to fit our off-brand furnace.   He came back promptly, installed it.  The cost ended up being way under estimate.  Jake was friendly and competent.

Josh at Summit Heating & Cooling continues to be most knowledgeable and a good communicator.  After my move to CO this last summer and purchase of a condo, I contacted Summit for a furnace check.  Josh gave me realistic and helpful information re my older furnace.  I wanted to replace my thermostat and we went over pros and cons of several.  His next visit was to install my new equipment.  I live in a two floor unit and the thermostat has a sensor for both floors!  This week I checked with him on best winter maintenance of my AC, and he provided useful specifics re what climate factors will let me know it is time to call him for a pre-season AC check.  He clearly likes his work, and helping people.

I called Summit Heating the day before New Year's and got their answering service.  I left my info and a brief description of the service needed at my son's home in Littleton, CO.  A very nice lady called me back within minutes and I was able to get an appointment for the date, and time, I wanted. 1/2/2019,  AJ was at my son's condo right on time.  Within minutes he was able to determine there was no gas pressure coming to the heater.  He narrowed the problem to the city gas meter and called Xcel gas company for my son (My son is Deaf so this was a huge help for him.)  AJ told the Xcel worker exactly where the problem was, and all the other info they wanted. He even offered to stay on site, as long as he could, to talk to the gas company employee.  The gas company was there in no time and AJ was instrumental in expediting the repair process.  Thank you so much AJ for Facetiming with me so I could interpret your conversation to my son and daughter-in-law!  Your patience, caring, knowledge and professionalism is an example of how all employees should be.  100 stars for AJ.

Great experience all around! I purchased a townhouse with a very old furnace and shopped around for a new one. Summit was not the cheapest option, but they did guarantee that the quoted price was the final price, which I liked. They did a full measure of my home, and fully explained the size of furnace they recommended and why. They left my home in the same condition they found it. Came home to a very cold house!  Called Summit based on the reviews on Yelp, scheduled an appointment the next day.  The tech was running late as we were going through a cold snap and they were very busy.  But when he got here it only took him a few minutes to diagnose the issue.  We were offered options to fix it or purchase new with pricing estimates right there.  We opted for the fix which sent him on a parts run.  A couple hours later he returned and fixed the issue.  It was a whole day process with a lot of waiting but my house is now warm!  We signed up for their club and will definitely be calling in the spring for the AC tuneup.  Felt like it was a small family type business and he cared about our needs.

Frustrating Experience

Summit had serviced my old furnace for a couple years and I was pleased.  When it was time to replace my furnace, air conditioner and water heater this fall I got a couple estimates.  Summit's estimate was $2,000 more than the other estimate, but I felt more comfortable that the job would be done correctly by Summit.  

Fast forward to the installation process.  At the end of day three, on what was supposed to be a two-day installation, I received a call saying that the technician had accidentally installed the wrong furnace.  Since the technician who did the installation had only been with the company two weeks, I asked that the owner's son, Jeremy, come back to do the final walk through.  He did, and discovered that one of the new pipes for the tankless water heater might be installed incorrectly.  He told me he would look it up and call me the next morning.  No call.  A few days later someone from Summit called to ask if the work had been completed to my satisfaction.  I explained that I was waiting to hear back from Jeremy about the pipe.  The woman said she would call him right away.  No return call.  In the meantime the financing company was calling me every other day to ask if the work had been completed so they could fund the loan.

A week after the walk through I left a voice mail for Jeremy asking about the pipe, only to receive a voice mail from a woman in their office saying the technician needed to come back out.  No explanation.  I finally talked to Jeremy, who told me that if the pipe wasn't fixed it could cause the water heater to cut out.  In the meantime, I had called a gas fireplace company to restart my fireplace.  (The pilot light had been turned off during the HVAC water heater installation.) The employee at the fireplace company told me Summit should have restarted the fireplace pilot light after they completed their work.

So I just received a text that the tech will be back out tomorrow (while I'm at work) to fix the pipe and turn on my fireplace pilot light.  Jeremy did offer me a 1% discount for all the trouble, which is better than nothing.  But it doesn't really make up for the inconvenience of having to rearrange my schedule and leave work early multiple times, not to mention all the time spent on the phone dealing with both Summit and the financing company (as well as the fireplace company).  I can't help but worry whether anything else was done incorrectly that wasn't caught.  Not a good feeling with something that has the potential to harm my family.

I needed my furnace repaired.  After going through two other companies, and getting ripped off by one (The Wire Nut), I called these guys.  Steve came out, he was a super nice guy, and he explained exactly what was wrong, how to fix it, and what it would cost.  A week later he returned, fixed my supposedly un-fixable furnace (according to the Wire Nut) and charged me less than what he quoted me originally.  I am more than happy with my experience.  I would absolutely do business again, and would recommend Summit to anybody with any heating and a/c problems.

Summit Heating and A/C has done a great job for us with our furnace, they have provided great service and have been very fair with us regarding billing.  We bought an older home a few years ago that hadn't had much maintenance done, including a 30 year old furnace that was a bargain basement model when first installed back in the 1990's.  They didn't try to immediately sell us a new one, they kept the old running as long as possible, but it did finally died this winter.  When trying to replace it they found problems with our flew (there is wooden floor in the flew where hot gases are vented - who thought it was a good idea to have floorboards in a flew?  the original builder of the home in 1952!).  Anyway, they found they could bypass the flew entirely by venting to the outside (they hid the pipes behind some bushes so there is no eyesore) and the new furnace works great.  They did great work and were very fair with the pricing, I am very happy with their maintenance and installation services and recommend them highly!

I recently had my air conditioning go out on a 95 degree day. I did some research on Yelp and I found Summit heat and air conditioning. I gave them a call and their Dispatch Center said they would send some out tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. Matt was sent to my house and explained how everything would work after he replaced a part. 45 minutes later after he went out and got the part I had perfect air conditioning again in my house. I told him I was a new home owner first time and he was kind enough to explain everything in the basement where water came in and emergency procedures to shut everything off in case something catastrophic happened. We then discovered that my Honeywell air purification system was not properly functioning and that he would come out and fix it at a later date. I'm using them to fix my purification system on Wednesday and I'm very happy with them. Great communication too!

Summit Heating & A/C stopped in to try and revive a 17 year old system that likely needed replacing 2 years ago. Unfortunately, the old system could not keep up or even keep going. Mike their consultant came by and walked us through options and made recommendations based on his thorough assessment. The team was punctual, professional and did an incredible installation. There customer service and this customers experience was worth every penny we paid. I would recommend them if you are considering repairs, servicing or replacement of your heating & A/C unit.

It's taken me awhile to write a review but better late then never.
Summit is the real deal with owners that will insure the system is designed properly and installed flawlessly.
I live in a 110 year old property in Park Hill.
I hired them to remove an old boiler and radiators then replace with a gas forced air furnace and air-conditioning.
This was not your typical new build installation.
They overcame many obstacles during the installation and did a great job.
These people stand behind their work, they do what they say they will do with no surprises.
If friends or my family need any HVAC work Summit will be on the job.
They won't be the cheapest people out there but they are fair and reasonable, they don't gouge people.
I had my 90 year old dad use them and they contacted a wholesaler to open their warehouse so they could get a part he needed on a Saturday to take care of his problem!
That's just the kind of guys they are over there.

Josh just left after fixing our outdoor AC unit. Summit was an easy choice with it's good reviews and much better availability than any other local company this week. My service technician Josh kept in touch with me in the morning to update me on his arrival time. Once here, he talked me through the diagnostics he performed on the unit, showed me the malfunctioning peas and replaced it from his truck. He worked quickly and gave me an overview on how the unit was doing overall. I was very happy with his service and plan to use Summit for any further heating and AC needs we may have.

Separately, Josh also spoke to me about some of the great training that the company offers its employees. As an Employment Specialist, I love to hear about companies that treat their employees well and help them grow toward their future careers within the company. This is an update to my previous review (original at bottom):

After some communication issues between the property management and Summit and my small business, and following my original posted review expressing my dissatisfaction, Mr Peterson (co-owner) personally came out to investigate the problems I was experiencing (AC unit was not cooling the small space I work in).  Mr Peterson determined that the mechanics were actually working, but the cool air was being blocked.  Further investigation revealed the ducts were mostly all closed, so the cool air was not finding its way into the lab.  He opened all the ducts and I will be evaluating cooling capabilities over the next week or so to allow for warm weather to return, and to see if this did make a change in the problem.  He also offered to write up some suggestions on what can be done to assist the existing equipment to ensure temperature regulation within my space (I plan to take him up on this).

Mr Peterson was very professional and easy to work with, and I am grateful he was willing to come by personally to help rectify the situation.  It is unfortunate that the initial communications between the property manager and Summit were very incomplete, as Summit technically works for the building owner, and , the occupant, was kept out of the communications loop.  Direct lines of communication in this case would have helped mitigate the frustration created from this situation.

My review will be amended again once the situation has been remedied.

Full disclosure:  There may be a disconnect between property manager and Summit, but the short story is:  I run a very small lab in a strip mall for businesses.  My AC would not cool sufficiently in interim weather (changeover from summer to winter and vice versa), so I requested an addition to the HVAC unit servicing my section be installed that could accommodate these needs.  It was installed, but it literally did NOTHING to cool the air.  It merely brought in outside air.  Fast forward to spring, when we can get 70+ degree days, and my lab is getting HOT.  The AC unit DOES NOT COOL.  Summit keeps telling management that it is the fault of my equipment.  So after 2 years of being here (and reducing the equipment load in the lab), suddenly it's my equipment?  And not a single technician has been by to check on the interior of the unit to ensure the equipment they are supposedly working on works correctly.  After 3 months of complaining I'm done.

Furnace issues can be intimidating and expensive.  Our family suffered from a lack of heat during freezing temperatures.  Before calling Summit Heat and Air, we called another company and told we had to replace our furnace because it was cheap.  Needless to say, we got another opinion from Summit Heating and Air Conditioning, and they were able to fix the problem saving us thousands of dollars.  After speaking to the owner of Summit Heat and Air, it was obvious he cares about his customers and their satisfaction.  The technicians he hires are professional, friendly and a pleasure to work with.  When the time comes for our family to replace our furnace, we will be using Summit Heat and Air.

Well, I had another company out (applewood) they quoted me 10,000 to replace my furnance! I thought I needed a second opinion. I called summit and Chris was out within the hour! Took one look at it and quoted me 150$ for a pump plus a small labor fee! Took but two hours to install and it's been almost a year! No problems. Wow!  Just had Charlie at Summit Heating & A/C come out to inspect and tune up my heating and cooling system.  Turns out my furnace is 30 years old, and that if an issue in the future occurs, any parts would need to be special ordered and could be hard to come by.  He was still able to service my dinosaur of a furnace, and was really honest with me about my options and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need.  He recommended to wait on doing a full tune up/ inspection on the A/C system because there are things that can't be thoroughly checked if the weather is under 65 degrees, and he didn't want to charge me for something I didn't need right then.  Charlie was an excellent ambassador for his company: knowledgeable, friendly, professional, caring and sensitive to my cost limitations.  He set me up on their service plan (one time payment of $60 for 3 years) which cut the cost of the furnace tuneup by almost 40% and would do the same for the AC tuneup when they come out in the spring.  He also let me know that Summit offers free design consultation for new furnace and AC equipment, with a quote that's good for a year, and can finance new equipment installs to fit my budget when my furnace does eventually stop working. Summit knows how to play the long game, and that by taking care of customers when they don't need much brings them back when they do.  This was a great experience.  I would recommend Charlie at Summit & A/C to anyone.

I just had Mike V. with Summit Heating and A/C come out and while it's always a bummer to get the news you need a new furnace, I was SO impressed with Mike. I'm someone who likes to know what's going on and he patiently explained everything to me and answered my questions while he was testing the furnace. He talked through all the options with me and both his and Summit's commitment to excellence and customer service is amazing. I am disappointed in the misinformation I was given over the phone, and the fact that the tech called me an hour after he should have arrived and gave me very different information, causing me to cancel the appointment.  What a waste of my time!
I called Summit to ask if they could service an Aero Cool 4800 evaporative cooler.  I asked a lot of questions and shared info about the situation.  I was told that the technician would have a lot of experience, and know exactly how to take care of things.  The cost would be $174.95 for a routine maintenance call, and that price would include the cost of new pads as well as labor, but not parts, for installing a new pump.  I have worked on this cooler before, and of course installing a pump means plugging it in.  I thought the cost wasn't bad because I know that the pads for this unit run about $125.   After thinking it over, I called back and scheduled a visit.  I made it clear that this is a rental unit and I would have to meet the tech there, so we agreed I would get the first visit of the day, at 8 a.m.   I arrived at the house at 8 a.m. and waited for an hour.  At 9 a.m. I got a call from the tech.  He asked if someone had called me to tell me that the cost of the pads would NOT be included in the call, and that the pads would cost me $250.  Additionally, the pump would cost me $150 and the installation of the pump would not be included in the service fee, but would be extra.  He told me that he had spent the last hour tracking down the pads I would need, and this is why he was contacting me an hour after he should have arrived.  There were so many red flags here.  Someone who supposedly was very familiar with this unit needed an hour to find the pads?   I know where they are sold, and it took me 15m minutes to figure that out.  The cost was going to be considerably more than double what I was originally told.  (The originally quoted $175 for visit and pads was now $425, and that didn't include any repairs).   AND, I know for a fact that they were doubling the cost of parts, as I can get the pads for $139 and the pump for about $75.  
All the information I had been going on I  had already heard from TWO people, but now that I was up at the property and waiting for a tech (who was going to arrive well over an hour late), I was being told completely different information.  
I am very disappointed with the misinformation I received on the phone, and the lack of respect the tech and company had for my time.

What great customer service!  I worked with two other sprinkler companies to no avail.  Summit was very patient and communicated regularly with me even after they fixed the problem to make sure the sprinkler system worked long-term.  Highly recommended!

Water heater blew a leak in Monday night, talked to Summit at 8am Tuesday morning, and they had the water heater swapped out and were out of my house by 5:30pm Tuesday afternoon. My hot shower this morning was much more relaxing than my cold shower yesterday morning. Very courteous and prompt service at a reasonable price. We will be using these guys to replace our 24 year old furnace sometime soon!

We reached out to Summit after our a/c pipe kept freezing by the condenser rendering our system virtually useless. Brennan came out on Fathers Day to diagnosis the problem. Given our unit is 14 years old, he suggested switching out the motor on our furnace with a stronger one. We went forward with his suggestions, however, we discovered that night and following morning that it didn't fix the issue. We called them back Monday morning to discuss and asked about refrigerant. Doug, one of the owners, was quick to rectify the situation. Brennan came out and added the necessary refrigerant and we had a cool house within 30 minutes, just in time for the 99 degree weather!

My elderly parents have Excel HomeSmart yet on New Year's Eve at 6:30pm their furnace went out and Excel had no technicians to send out so informed my 78 year old Mother on a -10 below night that there was nothing they could do until the next day at noon although my parents pay faithfully for the service. For over 2 hours I called numerous furnace repair businesses but none could help. Then I came across Summitt and Bill, one of the owners, stated to me that there was no way he would leave an elderly couple without heat on such a frigid night. He sent out his technician and promptly took care of the problem. I was very impressed with his compassion. I recommend this business highly! Thanks Bill.

I would like to give a big thumbs up to Summit HVAC!  I had a 20 year old AC system that had been giving me problems for the last couple years so I called summit to give me an estimate on getting a new system installed.  They promptly sent Brennan over to take a look and before trying to sell me a new system he tried to save me some money and get my old system fixed.  After spending half a day diagnosing the problem and replacing parts Brennan found that the compressor was bad which was going to add some significant costs to the repair.  I started to worry I had made the wrong decision to try and repair the old AC unit because it would only be under warranty for a year (compared to 5-10 years with a new system) and when I called summit to see if I was stuck with the repairs they were super accommodating and put the repair costs towards a new AC system!  The guys who installed the new system were able to come out a week later and had everything finished up in half a day.  They did a great job and I am super happy with the quality of their work.

These guys went out of their way to make sure I was happy and I will be sure to use them again for all future HVAC needs.  I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for HVAC repairs or replacement.

I contacted Summit for the first time based on reviews I had seen online.  They showed up on time, and performed a repair which did not fix the problem.  I contacted them about this, and they promptly fixed the problem and provided a full refund for the misdiagnosis.  I could not have asked for better customer service, and my furnace is working perfectly.  Based on my experience, you could not do better than Summit!!

Joseph and his team encountered some unexpected challenges with the installation, but honored the original quote, and ended up working 2 additional days (including one of their days off) to get the project completed. Got home from a week in Florida late one night after Christmas to find my house temperature at 20 degrees. I could literally see my breath, and all my house plants were dead. The next day I called a guy who did all the HVAC for my business and he bumbled around for a few days on my furnace without being able to diagnose it or fix it. Found Summit on Yelp and called at 2:30pm today (Wednesday) in hopes that they could get someone out to fix it by tomorrow or Friday. The woman on the phone was very nice and said that if I didn't mind someone coming after 5pm, she could actually get someone out today. The tech (Chris) called about a half hour later and said that he could actually be here in 30 minutes. He came on time, fixed my furnace problem in no time, and the total charge was $99.95!! Service doesn't get any better than this, and Summit just won a new lifetime customer for any time I have heating or A/C issues. Very impressed!

These folks are the best. I had a tenant with an elderly Mother and the furnace went out in a real blast of chilled weather. They went outside their service area to repair the furnace and did so promptly inspired only by their concern for the family without heat. I will use them from now on. The price was fair and the service just great.  Catherine, on the phone , is also so pleasant and courteous that it is a pleasure to talk with their office.

Summit has restored  my faith in home contractor  services. I am SO VERY IMPRESSED! This company  has been incredibly professional, responsive, and did high quality  work. It is so much better than other ac work in my neighborhood. From our sales person Kabel  to Jennifer in the office and DJ and the rest of the install team we were treated so well. The workmanship of the installation was top notch. This is clearly the go-to company for ac and heating.

I called at 4:00 pm because the furnace on my rental property wasn't working. They gave me a time estimate of 6:00-8:00 pm and since it was after hours there would be an additional $35 charge on top of the $99 diagnostic fee.  Brennan showed up right at 6:00 pm and fixed the problem immediately, he got me signed up for their club where general maintenance is $60. Since it was a simple fix I was only charged the $135, and since I live next door to my rental, I had a concern about my water heater that he came and checked for free, of course, the weird noise didn't happen while he was there so he gave me a few ideas on what it could be. He was in an out within an hour, and about 20 minutes later he called me back to give me one more suggestion for the weird noise! Overall, I was extremely impressed, they were timely, kind, and I will definitely be calling them again.

Excellent experience. I had a new furnace installed two weeks ago to replace an older failing unit that was stressing me out. Firstly in the recent past, I had the best technicians Chris Mc and Josh come take a look at a moment's notice at different times and service the old hunk of junk and they were here fast. Also, I had Chris Mc evaluate my system and recommend furnace choices and measure at no estimate charge. So, finally I got super tired of worrying so I purchased a brand new better furnace. Since my home purchase is an older home I have been through the contractor ringer! so I was appreciative of these guys! From start to finish... Measuring, load study, ordering, quality equipment, install, instructions, payment was a breeze. And to note Topher R and Chris arrived at 9:30 am and were done at 3:30. In addition, they added a support to a noisy steel panel and it is SO quiet! They also had to deal with a 4 foot crawlspace ouch and my noisy dog! Everything was cleaned up, they put floor protectors down and wore protective shoes too. Such a professional operation. I am super impressed. Can't wait to refer you guys. Hopefully I got all names right! Thanks

After my husband replaced the burned out motor and capacitor on our furnace, it still wouldn't run. Instead of trying to piece together a list of what if's after that, we decided to turn to Yelp to find an HVAC repair company. We read the great reviews for Summit, gave them a call on  Saturday, and they came right out and diagnosed the additional problem: control panel. Steve was great at reassuring my husband he did everything right up to that point, and it was probably the motor that burned out the panel. He ordered the part, showed up Monday, put it in, and now our furnace is running better than before! Price was very reasonable, and we are happy happy happy with the quality of work and timeliness. Would DEFINITELY recommend this company to anyone looking for HVAC repair. Thank you, Steve!

After the tech left, I realized seasonal furnace service didn't include a new filter - or any service. No cleaning or anything. He checked that it was working, told me to get a carbon monoxide detector in case it stopped working, and then he left. I'm scratching my head and wondering what I paid $80 for.

Brooks was awesome. I had no idea what the issue was and was unfamiliar with the set up for my HVAC since I live in a rental and have an unusual circumstance when it is my responsibility to have it serviced! He didn't give up with my weird apartment layout and stayed until he could figure out my complicated situation. Went above and beyond and offered me a long term solution with their membership since my ongoing service will definitely need to be handled by professionals. I was told by another company (Brother's Plumbing, Heating, and Electric) that I needed a new ac unit and furnace to the tune of $10,000 last summer after a routine annual check. Nothing was acting up so I decided to wait until there was an actual problem. This week my AC was having problems turning on and keeping the house at the set temperature.   I called Summit after reading good reviews.  They called me back in under 24 hours (I had called on a Sunday and got their answering service) and I was scheduled within a week.  Brian came out and did a thorough check of my ac and furnace, took the AC unit apart and cleaned the unit, topped off the coolant, answered all my questions, and explained things in an understandable way. After the work was done he took the time to make sure everything was working (way better than before, as opposed to having to call Brother's after they left because the furnace was reassembled incorrectly). I didn't feel pressured to get things I didn't really need (like a new everything) or like I was being overcharged.  I'll take paying $500 to fix an actual problem over $10,000 to fix a made up one any day.

Update: Since my original post, Summit had an electrician come out to our home to fix the inspection items. Unfortunately, he did not perform the work correctly. However, shortly after that, two of the owners came out to our home on a Saturday morning to discuss all of our concerns. They corrected all of the issues within 12 days by 1) having a master electrician re-do the electrical work. 2) obtaining a new permit with the second electrician added and 3) refunding a significant portion of our money. We passed inspection today and I'm grateful that they did the right thing and fixed the issues. My original review is below.....
Our experience with your company has been an nightmare! When your techs came to install our new furnace and AC, they completely rushed the job - taking 4 hours to complete what should have taken 8. After complaining, you had someone more experienced from your company come back out with the tech and there was a lot of work that needed to be fixed. We then did not receive our permit (although it was included in the cost of the install). After a few months I had to call you and request the permit, at which time you actually ordered the permit from the county. We have now FAILED inspection. I called on Friday, August 4th and did not receive a call back. I've continued to call back and speak with your staff all week and I still have not received a call from an owner. Instead, you hired an electrical contractor to contact me directly to schedule the work to correct the failed inspection items. A new permit needs to be pulled listing the electrician, and I need to know that you are covering the cost of this. Please call me so that we can get this resolved. I'm so incredibly disappointed with your work and customer service.

I can't say enough great things about my experience w/ this company! They over delivered in all aspects of customer service. Our A/C went out  on a super hot 95 degree day and on a Saturday of course.  Our house was a sauna and we were melting. I called several other places first, and either got no answer, or was put on the eternal hold. I finally came upon Summit Heating and A/C on Yelp, and noticed that they had 144 reviews that were all 4.5-5 stars! By this time it was 9:00pm on a Saturday night, but I figured I would try to call anyway,  but honestly didn't expect much after the experiences with the last few places I called. A customer service rep immediately answered the phone, and said she would have someone call us back shortly to discuss the problem. Within 10 minutes, my phone rang and a very pleasant and helpful woman  asked how she could help, asked what the problem was. She said they were super slammed w/ service calls on Sunday, but would gladly rearrange a few things to get us in. She gave me an immediate quote for a last minute/weekend service call of $135 and said the technician would come by b/w 11:00am-1:00pm on Sunday. I received a phone call Sunday morning form a very polite woman from Summit at about 9:45am, she said she just wanted to update me on the techs arrival time, and he was running a little behind but would there by 11:45am. Then by 11:15am , Chris (our tech) called and said he would be there in 30 minutes. Sure enough he showed up exactly at 11:45am. Chris was VERY professional, polite, and even wore shoe covers. He immediately addressed the problem w/ our A/C and fixed it, and was in and out within an hour. He was so personable and chatted w/ us about our upcoming trip and his 4th of July plans. The A/C starting blowing cold air and working beautifully! It was like heaven! The cost was exactly $135 ( as quoted) with no extra charges. We tried to give Chris a cash tip for all his hard work and help on a Sunday, but he politely said no thank you and he was just glad he could help. I was so happy and impressed with this company and with Chris, we will refer them to all our friends and family. Thank you CHRIS!!!!!!!

Jeremy came out on short notice and not only fixed our furnace right before the freezing cold moved in but he gave us a breakdown on some other issues with our current and old furnace. He explained everything to us so we could understand it and was very professional. Great guy and great company! His was willing to give detailed explanations regarding each inspection he performed. He made recommendations, but also respected my budget. Our Summit technician, Steve, provided the most thorough inspection I've ever witnessed on our evaporative cooler and furnaces. We've been through various companies to service our equipment (yearly) and none have been as meticulous as Summit. Steve went the extra mile to ensure our safety. As a Real Estate agent when I need something done for a client, it is usually needed same day.  That is just the nature of the beast.  And it usually has to do with Inspection issues which are contractual, and need to be done right.  I have been using Summit for years now for all furnace and A/C issues noted at inspection.  The techs can usually get there on the same day that you call, are on time, professional, and courteous.  They will clean and certify a furnace and test an A/C unit for any leaks or issues.  A lot of these companies just want to sell you new equipment, but in most cases the recommended repair is a part replacement or adjustment, which can save you thousands of dollars.  I highly recommend these guys.

Dean at Summit Heating  and cooling saved us so much money by replacing are furnace fan instead of selling us a new furnace, and this spring with our A/C would not cool the house he was able to tune it up so now it runs great, What a nice / cool guy. We looked at several heating and air conditioning companies and decided to go with Summit Heating and Air Conditioning because of all the great reviews and reasonable pricing.  I have to say I agree this company deserves all 5 stars as their sales, installers and office staff, as well as their customer service are all honest, knowledgeable and dependable.  We had Summit install a new water heater, furnace, air conditioning and thermostat. They recommended equipment that was appropriately sized for our house and the installation was done quickly, efficiently and very professionally.  A big shout out to Joseph, Dean and Sal who installed all the equipment.  Dean returned promptly to take care of a minor issue after the initial installation.   Another shout out to Jeremy in sales and also Jennifer and Jeannette in the office who helped us with the rebate from Lennox.  Everyone was awesome and I highly recommend Summit Heating and Air Conditioning.  They did an excellent job for us and I know they will do an excellent job for you too.  Thank you Summit!!

Today is my Birthday. The best present BY FAR was finding Summit and using them! My furnace is 20 years old and I am pretty good at fixing minor things, like replacing the igniter and stuff like that. On Tuesday night, the furnace quit and the blower fan was running constantly and I had to shut the whole thing down. I knew this was not something I would even have a clue to fix. Cold night with grumpy wife and 2 teenage daughters! I went online at night and scheduled a service call with Summit for Weds. Nate came over yesterday. He was slightly late because his previous call ran long, but he called me to tell me he was still coming. He showed up, put on his shoe covers and went right to work. What a professional and pleasant fellow!  After awhile we needed to go find a fuse for the furnace and after striking out at 3 places, Nate figured out how we could convert the fuse holder from BUSS to ATO and I bought the stuff for that ($10). We came home, the shoe covers came back on (not really necessary in MY house) and in ten minutes I had heat and 3 happy ladies again! Thank You, Summit and Nate! The charges were more than fair and I have signed up for their frequent flyer program as well. Look no further, Denver. These guys are the REAL DEAL!! If Yelp had a rating of 10 or 100 you can be sure I would give them that. You simply CANNOT go wrong by choosing Summit Heating.

I'm impressed.  My daughter is afraid of HVAC companies because of previous experiences our family has endured, so she requested my presence while the Summit tech was in her home.  I let their tech know he would be watched.  He had no problem.  He actually made his repairs at no charge beyond the initial call fee.  He also offered my daughter a relatively inexpensive maintenance program and when she signed up, he waived some of his original fees.  This company is now going to be MY HVAC go to experts.  The tech was on time, knowledgeable and communicated well.  As far as my home furnace service went, I'm doubly impressed.  CW was very thorough inspecting all compartments, testing the fan shutoff and explaining all the way.  Very straightforward and honest.  Two great experiences for my family and myself.  This is my best HVAC experience ever!  Thank you, thank you!!

I am so impressed. I requested an estimate on Saturday. Jeremie came the next day (on a Sunday). I always get three estimates, but I broke my own rules on this one and didn't even bother getting a second estimate. I know they are not the cheapest on the market, but I work from home, so when it comes to temperature, quality is important. When he talked about their company culture, weekly trainings that every tech receives (including on the 7 habits of highly effective people which happens every Wednesday from 6:15-8:30, plus ongoing technical training), and how they treat their people, I just knew I would have quality work. And importantly, he was really thorough in putting together the estimate, calculating the load etc. The company's warranty and customer service is amazing as well. Jack and Jake, the installers, were phenomenal. They showed up early, were extremely professional, very neat and clean, did meticulous work, explained everything so well when they were done. I had 15 calls scheduled for the day they were here and I didn't feel at all interrupted. And they were just so warm and friendly. I can't recommend them highly enough. They installed central AC, and they replaced a water heater. I will probably use them again down the road to add a humidifier. And I'll be recommending them to anyone I know who has needs in those areas as well.

If I could give these guys a negative I would. It took them six tries last winter to get my furnace working each time it was a different answer. The techs were different each time it was like a revolving door, I never got the same guy and half of the time the new guy blamed the old guy who is no longer with the company (but wait he worked there last week what happened). They they would try and convince you to give them good reviews on Yelp too, wait for it if you go here, trust me. Every time I had to ask them to come back the techs were downright pissed that I did, and for that benefit the cost went up and in a week and I'd have to call again. I'm posting this now because they signed me up for some membership to a discount club to make me happy on my furnace repair moving forward (they offered to give me a whole new unit for about 10K each time they showed up too, seemed to be the continual answer I got when it only turned out to be an igniter switch, which the first guy didn't know how to install it it took four other guys to figure it out again). Considering it's time to get a check before winter, I thought to myself no way in hell will I call these guys ever again. Do yourself a favor call someone else.

Had the awkward experience of waking up to a cold house. Furnace was off on failover. Called and was able to get same day support from Summit when others were quoting 2-3 days. Chris the technician was professional , had all the proper diagnosis tools- and identified a faulty igniter in 15 mins. Replaced parts and was out in less than 1 hour.  I'd give a 5 for service- but it was candidly very pricey for a $40 part- they use fixed menu pricing which cost me $280 plus trip charge.

I came home after recuperating from a serious surgery at a friends house to find my townhome had no heat.  The last thing on earth that I needed was to freeze while waiting for a repairman.  I call one and left a message; I called another and was scheduled for the next day late in the afternoon; then I called Summit and got scheduled for the morning of the next day.  I was resigning myself to having to drive back to my friend's for another night.  I am still really weak, so I knew that would be a struggle; but what choice did I have?  Then, the phone rang.  It was CW from Summit.  He happened to get the dispatch and said he would be over in twenty minutes.  He actually got here early, found the problem, and fixed it.  Not only was he exceptionally knowledgeable and efficient, but he seemed to genuinely care about making sure that I would be safe and comfortable.  Thank you so much Summit H/AC and a special thank you to CW!!
