The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is that Patriot came out on a Sunday within hours of my call. They came and diagnosed my AC problem as a bad blower motor. The estimate they gave me was around $1800 (that was WITH a military discount!). When my warranty company requested a breakdown of the costs on the estimate, they refused, saying they are a flat rate company. I requested estimates from other companies on Yelp and found one who not only replaced my bad motor with an upgraded one, they did the whole job for $950! Be careful of these guys!!!

Tried them some years ago while I was out of town and furnace stopped working

They did not fix the problem and tried to sell the wife on an entire new $8000 water heating system - nothing to do with the furnace

I did eventually find the furnace problem using another provider (Nytech HVAC) who found mice were getting into the exhaust vent and fixed it with $10 of wire mesh.

We called Patriot Plumbing out to work on what we thought would be a simple fix. We're experienced homeowners. After looking at our system, we were told that we immediately needed thousands of dollars worth of repairs to our HVAC system. After they left and we recovered from the sticker shock, we got a second opinion from a very professional and highly recommended HVAC company. In short, we will not be calling them again.

Patriot Pros came out and did a $425 repair to my shower head. WIthin 2 months, the leak came back, this time worse than before. I called and they scheduled me for someone to come out on a week day between the hours of 11-2. At 1:45 I call them to find out where the plumber is at, as I took a vacation day to be at the house for this repair and they told me that they were backed up with issues due to the freezing temps and couldnt get to me until Friday. While I understand the freezing temps and people needing help, the deep freeze happened on Sunday and they have such little respect for their customers that for them, its okay to miss an appointment 3 days after the event, and not call their customer to allow them time to adjust. I had to take PTO to be at home for this repair and they couldnt even notify me that they werent going to make it, I had to call them to find out. Then when I asked when they could come out, they told me Friday, and when I said that I couldnt take another vacation day, they told me that the weekends were reserved for emergencies and they couldnt reschedule me for those days. Absolutely the worst customer service and they obviously do not stand by their warranty.

I do not often write a bad review online as I know they can have a big impact on a company. But Patriot Pros are so shady I had to speak up. Top things you should know before making your decision whiter or not to go with Patriot Pros:

1) Go to the Yelp reviews for Patriot Pros. Sort them by the lowest rated reviews. We experienced many (most?) of the same issues dozens of other customers have complained about.
2) Note that the owner or his wife will respond to all low rated Patriot Pros reviews (possibly including this one?) and either question whether the reviewer is even a customer, or blame the customer for not understanding their own repair needs, and what normal prices should be, and offer a veiled apology.
3) They are very courteous, polite and good at communicating about when they are going to show up at your house, and sharing the details of their problem diagnosis. If that is all you are looking for then I am sure you won't mind getting absolutely fleeced in the quotations they will provide to you.

Next are the facts of my experience:

1) We were rescheduled twice by Patriot Pros due to other emergency jobs that popped up where the technician was unable to come take a look at our leak in our basement bathroom ceiling.
2) When Patriot Enterprises finally got somebody to our house, the technician felt that the leak was coming from my son's bathroom on our top level. We authorized him to cut into our wall behind the upstairs bathroom so he would not have to damage any tile. Turns out there was no leak there so the technician went out to his van to call his manager. He came back in, looked behind the holes he had cut in our drywall again, and said he found another problem, unrelated to the leak he was there to fix. On old inactive leak caused by a valve that needed to be replaced is what were told.
3) After not finding a current leak issue upstairs behind the wall he cut open, he now said that the leak was a hairline crack in the PVC pipe just above the ceiling in the basement bathroom. So they would replace 3 feet of pipe.
4) We asked him to also quote a water heater replacement (75 gallons).
5) Sat down to discuss the quotations. $1990 to replace the valve in my son's bathroom.$1300 for a master plumber to replace 3 feet of pipe. $342 per foot was the quote. $5200 for a new water heater. BUT - if we did both of the leak issues together then they would take $900 off and only charge us $2400 to repair the real leak and the new issue supposedly discovered by the technician in my sons bathroom.
6) So I did not commit to anything and paid them $246 for cutting a hole in my wall and called another plumber to come out next day. He quickly found the hole that had been drilled in my pipe by me (unbeknownst) when I was hanging a coat rack 10 years ago. It was 4 feet above the section of pipe that Patriot Pros was going to replace due to a crack. He replaced the drilled section of pipe for $424 and now we are leak free. He looked behind the wall in my sons upstairs bathroom that Patriot Pros had cut out. No issues. Nothing in need of replacement or additional work. He then quoted me a water heater at $2900.

Patriot Pros knows people are scared of water damage to their valuable homes and most people don't have a good understanding of the underlying systems that Patriot Pros evaluates. Patriot Pros preys on this ignorance, and then uses good manners and a professional demeanor to fleece you of your hard earned money. Get a second quote if you decide to have them out to look at your problem.

We used Patriot twice in 2013 to replace our whole-house air conditioning and also our well pressure tank. Both were experiencing issues when we called Patriot. They came, told us what was wrong and we made the decision to replace.

When I called Patriot to ask them how much it would cost to replace our furnace, I was surprised when the lady told me there would be a $69 diagnostic fee for the estimate. I explained that we weren't asking them to come out to see what, if anything, was wrong with our old furnace. We simply wanted an estimate on the cost of pulling the old one out and putting a few furnace in. She explained that it was company policy to charge the $69 diagnostic fee regardless.

A few days later, after thinking about this situation, I called Patriot a second time and asked for clarification on this policy of charging a fee before we could get an estimate on replacing our furnace. Again the lady explained that it was Patriot's policy of charging this diagnostic fee. It didn't matter that we weren't asking them to diagnose anything.

Please be aware of this when you call Patriot. The disclaimer they say to you about the diagnostic fee goes by rather quickly and if you aren't paying attention you don't get the gist of what it means.

Personally, we won't be doing business with Patriot anymore, since we feel that it's absurd to pay a fee under these circumstances.

Had them out, got a really high quote. Was told the part i needed was around $900, then there would be labor It just didnt feel right, so I did not have the work done, and paid the visit fee. I found the part for $100. Replaying the visit in my head, there were just a lot of classic traits of when someone is trying to hook you in. The tech was nice, seemed knowledgable, but they always are when trying to take you. Total classic 'used car salesman' approach.

Update: Javier, your response reinforces my gut feeling about your company's visit and quote.

Don't use this company. They over charge, don't do the work they charge for and then try to sell you a new system when it's not needed. We had to hire another company to actually do the work and they cost half as much. Patriot goes to all the Castle Rock town events trying to look good but they don't do what they say. I should have listened to other reviews.

The good experience starts with scheduling. The team was extremely nice and informative over the phone and understood that my heater going out meant that my condo was freezing and personally I hate the cold (but love Colorado).

I worked with their dispatcher Jaime and she called me not only to schedule, but to give me a timeframe of when Javi would arrive. She then called me to let me know he was on his way. Her last call was a 10 minute warning. This was awesome!

When Javi arrived my great dane went right up to him and wanted to play...which means he's a good person...she can tell...trust me. He also loved her...dog people are the best people. So good start.

Overall, Javi diagnosed and fixed my heating unit (which come to find out, the last company completely screwed up). He even installed my Nest which the last company said was not compatible.

Great people and great experience. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately, we did not check Yelp before calling Patriot Plumbing. Lesson learned.

In short, Patriot Plumbing's whole pricing is a total scam. As Javier (owner) has noted in previous review comments, they do not charge by the hour - they charge by the job. Well, if they did charge by the hour, by my calculations it would be about $1,000 an hour!

We had them out today and asked for a small job to be completed. Tech (who was nice in his own right) said that Patriot Plumbing prices by the job and this job would be ~$1,300. Keep in mind that this is a job that should take less than 1 hour and has less than $20 in parts. After talking with the manager, the tech said he could do it for $728 - minus a 15% discount (woo hoo). Obviously, we didn't have the work done as we're not idiots.

This seems to be a very common experience with Patriot Plumbing as in talking with a neighbor this afternoon, she said she had the same experience with these guys last year. She got a $4,000 initial quote for work, then $600 after talking with the manager, which she declined and then had another company do for $200.

Stay away from Patriot Plumbing and their crazy fixed pricing model!

I called Patriot Pros to ask if they would come out and check my water heater because we had no hot water. They came out on a Friday and Xavier, the owner came out and gave me an estimate of $3,600.00 plus for a new water heater. I didn't think I'd need a new one since Patriot Pros installed my last one about 9 years ago. I asked Xavier if I could get a better discount since I was writing a check, and he said he'd give me a 2.0% discount. Seriously??

I personally don't think I needed a new water heater and then he stated I needed to replace a water spicket that was out front of my house, and I said why, and he said that the water was leaking and could get into my walls and flood my basement and cause mold, so I said okay, and asked how much that would be and Xavier said $950.00 and I said, absolutely not, and he said he would give me a discount and would drop it down to $500.00. They are a complete scam. They said they charge $500.00 an hour for their Master Plumbers to come out. The plumber who came out spent 1.5 hours here, and charged me a little over $3,600.00.

For a returning customer, you'd think they would work with you on discounts, yet they don't. I do not recommend this company at all.

Wow! What a shocker. I had called to get an estimate on a water heater problem. Yes I was informed of the $69 estimate fee and that it would be waived if I went with the service. So I tried to get a ballpark number from the office, but they could not provide one; they only make the appointments for the techs, I understand that. So based on having the water heater replaced in April of 2010 (by another company) that cost me $350 labor (parts were under warranty) I was figuring on it being less than $1000 labor plus parts.

The estimate was almost $4000! That included parts, but the tech could not even tell me how much of that was parts. He said the price was based on their catalog (so why couldn't the office staff provided that when I asked for a ballpark number) and any part covered by warranty would be refunded. Needless to say I did not go with their service and paid the $69 fee. Expensive lesson that I won't repeat.

The office staff and tech were very professional and courteous, but not worth the estimate provided.

BTW - got the job done for $550.

I looked them up in Yelp and read their reviews 2 positive reviews, however I missed the Yelp Feature of only seeing recommended reviews another lesson learned when I went back on Yelp and saw there were 33 reviews not recommended, yes all negative. I'm sure if this doesn't get posted it will be because it is negative. I gave it 3 Stars only to see if it was not filtered.

Shame on you Yelp to not reveal all reviews.

Hold on to your wallet when these guys show up. They were up front about their per job quote but not real clear about the complexity of the job. Turns out I paid the equivalent of $1000/hour for very basic plumbing work; install a shower valve and fixtures and install a toilet. Install only. I supplied all the the fixtures. If $1000/hr is reasonable to you for non-emergency basic plumbing work, hire them. Silly me for not asking what their hourly rate was. And after bringing this to the President's attention asking if perhaps a mistake was made with their quote he suggested that I was having buyers remorse. Wow.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Our 10-year old Trane Furnace stopped blowing out hot air with a flashing diagnostic code of four flashes, which means the high limit switch needed to be replaced. We called Patriot and they had a technician come out the next morning which was great response time considering it was cold outside and I'm sure a lot of people we're having furnace problems.

However, this guy walks into the basement and the first thing he points out is that there is some corrosion on our hot water tank over-fill reservoir and starts going into a service upsell skit to try and convince my wife that we need to replace that part (Its 10 degrees outside and our furnace isn't working which is what the service call is for but you the technician are worried about our hot water heater that's only 2 years old). So he finally starts looking at the furnace and comes to the conclusion that the filter was put in backwards when last replaced and some of the filter has been sucked into the furnace so he advises that we'll need a clean and service, high limit switch replacement, and a new filter. He quotes this at $1,250, with an up sale addition for the water reservoir on the water tank bringing the total to $1,596.

Now, I'm out of town at the moment for military training and my wife and 8 month old son are trying to deal with this while I'm gone. It's 10 degrees outside and now only 40 degrees in our house since they've been without heat for about 24 hours.

As I'm talking to the guy over the phone I look up the high limit switch replacement part online which costs only $35.99, and filters are less than that. So I ask him to break down the cost estimate. He says the clean and service is $199 but he can't break down the rest of the estimate because that's not how they do business. He states that they come and look at the required work and provide an estimate for what they recommend but aren't able to itemize how they generate that estimate. Well, by my calculations there's $35.99 for the part, plus say $20 for filter, plus $199 for the clean and service which leaves about $1000 left over for labor for a job that would take less than 1 hour...really? This company apparently thrives by taking advantage of people when they're stuck between a rock and a hard spot with outside temperatures at 10 degrees and the indoor temp down to 40 degrees.

Needless to say we sent him on his way with our $69 service call fee and got another company out who quoted the same repair work at $325 total. That included replacing the limit switch and filter, and the clean and service. I highly recommend that you skip Patriot Plumbing, Drains, Heating & Cooling and move on to the next one because this company will take you for your money.

The company we ended up using was 1st Call, you can find their info at www.1stcallheatingandair.com

We had a pipe burst during a recent deep freeze. It was a simple job to fix it the way I wanted Total cost of parts less than $100. Total labor time for a competent plumber to fix 2-3 hours. Patriot Pros figured the repair would be $1500 to $2000. If you want to be ripped off, go ahead and use them. You probably have plenty of money. If you do use them ask for cost of parts and per hour labor charge and see what they say.

I had a similar experience to Ross and Jim. I needed to have a PVB Valve replaced. I purchased the new valve and proper fittings. I had everything needed to complete the job in about 15 minutes. I was also quoted over $900 dollars for the work. I said no thank you and provided a $40 off coupon thinking it would reduce the $69 service call down to $29. They wouldn't accept the coupon and required $69 for the service call. Money well spent to figure out who I won't be using for my future plumbing needs.

Javier is a genius. You can get cheaper work for sure and you can get more expensive work, but you will not get more thorough, honest, save you money in the long run work. Just by checking my water pressure he heard a noise he knew shouldn't be there and uncovered a leak in our wall that had been there all summer. Fixed it right there.

Do you know how many other plumbers checked our pressure and didn't find that?

The boiler: 6 (and I have receipts) plumbers looked and misdiagnosed why our hot water would suddenly turn scalding. 5 minutes, maybe 4, Javier knew it was the faulty valve and went and bought the right one and put it in the next day.

Complain all you want about the fees (which are completely resonable) but if you own your home, you can't afford to NOT contract this company. The guy has 3 Master's degrees in different aspects of plumbing and heating, his knowledge is worth everything I paid.

I have never met Javier or the people at Patriot prior to this, but I've met plenty of plumbers that aren't as precise, neat and spot on as Javier was. Grateful we met, we will meet again because I signed up for his preferred twice a year service.

Unreliable. My appointment was rescheduled twice before they changed the date. I had stayed home from work to be available for the appointment, and it is very frustrating for them not to fulfill their end of the bargain. I went with another company that jumped though hoops to fix my air conditioner. Not recommended.

BUYER BEWARE! Please think twice before calling Patriot for any of your household needs. And if you do call them - get a 2nd or 3rd opinion before you have them fix or replace a thing.
We used them last summer to address our broken AC unit - I was 8 months pregnant and it was a heat wave at the time. Due to the urgency of the situation, we replaced it at their recommendation for an astronomical price.
I had immediate buyer's remorse and asked all of my friends in similar size/quality homes how much their AC units cost to repair, and have since asked multiple other home professionals, HVAC people, plumbers etc what price range would have been appropriate. We payed Patriot easily DOUBLE or TRIPLE what it should have cost. I feel like an idiot. Can't get our money back but hoping to save you yours.
This company is scamming people. DO NOT USE.

We were EXTREMELY worried about a loud clanging noise made each time our washer stopped filling (along with the cost/mess to repair the problem). After calling dispatch, Javier was assigned and provided both a phone call and text indicating he was on his way. His knowledge quickly addressed the issue and his professional presence made the situation go away. Thank you!

I give this company one star because when I consulted Home Advisor for help with my hot water heater, Patriot Pros called quickly and were able to come out to look at it within the hour. Javier and a trainee arrived and were extremely courteous and put on booties so as not to dirty my house. The good stuff stops there.

I am a 64-year-old woman and my husband was out of town, so when I woke up to cold water, I didn't know what to do. I followed the directions on the hot water heater and attempted to re-light the pilot light. It would not stay lit, so I asked Home Advisor to send someone out. Last time I'll use Home Advisor, last time I'll use Patriot Pros. In short, Javier said my unit was 7 years old, and therefore was getting old, although he didn't see any leaking to indicate there was anything wrong with it. He explained (over and over) that there are two assemblies on our hot water heater and one of them was probably the problem, although he never tested anything to find out exactly what the problem was. I asked him why he would replace both assemblies instead of just the one causing the problem and he went into a long explanation, It's like when you have brake work done on your car... He said they could replace both of these assemblies for $2,000, but he recommended replacing the whole unit for $3,500!!! Those were my choices.

After doing a little research online, I learned that we could purchase a similar new hot water heater at Home Depot for about $700. I suffered through more cold showers until my husband got home, and he found a small local company (MJB Plumbing & Heating) who came out the next day and did a little testing, took one of those assemblies apart, replaced the thermocoupler, and cleaned the burner, all for $137. He said the hot water heater itself should last another 5 to 8 years, but if he were to replace it, he would charge $1,400 - that's $2,100 less than Patriot Pros wanted to charge me!

Kitchen sink was suddenly clogged. Two men came to my house and shined a flashlight under my sink, did not touch any of my pipes. They wrote me a quote for $1989 to snake my drain and then charged me $289 for looking under my kitchen sink with a flashlight. I called another company and they came and snaked my drain for $95. I feel foolish and taken advantage of. I don't understand how a business can charge $289 for doing basically nothing.

We're new to CR this year and Patriot Pros was listed in our HOA book so we gave them a call. We ended up sealing our Duct work, replacing our water heater with a tankless, put in a water conditioning system, changed out all the emergency shut offs and spent approx. $25K. We called them back to get pricing on installing a humidifier on our furnace. When the quote came in high, we started calling neighbors to get referrals for other companies. We found a great company for 1/3 the cost. Patriot Pros does have great employees, but so do other companies that don't take all of your retirement savings. We currently smelled gas on the outside of our home and the only equipment running was the tankless water heater. So we called Patriot Pros since the equipment is still under warranty, explained the issue and said they would get someone out here within 3-4 days. The day of the appointment they called and because the service person got an install, they didn't make it out. I rescheduled and asked to be the first person on their list, an 8am appointment and the scheduling girl said ok. I just got a call from the scheduling person because they're not here and it's after 8:30am. She said they don't make specific times and if we were told that, she's sorry. They won't be here until after 1pm. So bottom line, we spent a lot of money with Patriot Pros, no longer used them, (which they know because we didn't let the come and check out the A/C unit), so any issues we have with new products under warranty for the next year, we can count on not getting the service we deserve. By the way, they have A LOT of employees, so where are they when you need a product under warranty checked out? I will also contact the HOA company and ask them to remove them from the book, too many bad reviews.

No stars.

I am writing on behalf of my elder neighbors. These folks have no children or immediate family to assist in tough times like losing their heat in negative temperatures. We were out of town, so they relied on the phone book and called Patriot. (otherwise I'd have been SURE not to direct them to Patriot)

The technician showed up very kind and friendly, quickly wrote a quote for an ungodly amount well over $4000. They signed, they paid. She had no other choice as her husband is dying of cancer and heat is imperative. Voila heat back on in 15-20 minutes. She said the nice young man was there for no more than 1 hour! I questioned her what was done, she simply said I don't know, it didn't take long and we had heat

After review of her contract I decided I should contact my plumber and have him review, to which he explained they were taken and should file a formal complaint again Patriot. I made contact with Patriot and was told I am not the home owner nor a resident therefor my concerns are invalid.

I have already had my own dealings with this bad mouthed crook and wasn't about to put up with his BS again. GUARANTEED Mr. Javier will respond to the post with how he doesn't know what anyone is talking about and contracts are contracts... JUST want the general public to understand THIS MAN and HIS POSSE of half-wit technicians will rob you blind and smile out the door. Please do your research, read ALLL the comments and consider your options... if a business owner spends MORE money on his advertising and pretty vehicles rather than promoting an HONEST business with adequately trained staff... it should be clear your MONEY is all that matters to him not the safety of your family!!

Its a shame Mr Javier you rip off your own neighbors... 0 stars for crooks

I made the mistake of not reading the other yelp reviews before calling them. Call someone else, anyone else before you get taken by these guys. They have nice trucks and do a lot of advertising, but they charge almost double what other companies do and they do BEWARE!

I would run the other way if you're considering using them it's not just me READ THE OTHER REVIEWS.

My experience has been awful! Here is my experience... I had an AC unit go out. I called them because I driven by and seen their nice yard and vehicles. They put me on the calendar for a few days later. Then the day of didn't show up at the time they quoted me. I called and they apologize profusely claiming that they had someone out sick and convinced me to give them another chance to make it right. So we rescheduled for a few days later and again they didn't show up. They told me that someone on their team had a baby shower which should've been my sign who has a baby shower on a weekday morning. They finally came out and at this point I was so eager to get it done and so hot from my house having no AC I agreed to let them replace my AC unit. They charge me around $6500 and I later found out they didn't replace my coil which is now causing issues with performance and efficiency. If this was an emergency call I can understand paying more however that was after they rescheduled my service three times. They will tell you what time they will arrive to get you on the calendar and then change it.

They essentially did half the job other companies have quoted me $3500-4000 for doing the full job. When I called and asked them about it they didn't even have a record of what they did at my house. They said one of the techs on the job was brand new and didn't remember and the other tech had left the company so they had no idea what was done in my house. I also found out they had not registered my new unit which means my warranty could've been lost and they promised me it was done. I called and complained and they didn't care they had my money and take my warning BEWARE!!!

They are extremely overpriced and didn't finish the job.

They charged me almost double what I later found out is the industry standard and did only a portion of the job.

I would RUN THE OTHER WAY if you're considering using them it's not just me READ THE OTHER REVIEWS.

I'm only giving one star because ZERO STARS wasn't an option. We tried to get a gas line installed in our home but after this company failing to ever show up for an appointment, I cancelled the work and got a refund of our deposit.

They were always very friendly on the phone but were extremely unresponsive and unreliable when it came to coming to our house to complete the work.

I can't recommend this company at all!!

OK so this morning I woke up and I have no hot water. The water heater in our house was replaced in 2013 under our home warranty and in 2014 the pilot tube assembly was clogged and had to be replaced. The water heater is a Bradford White with a Honeywell Gas Control valve.

I looked at the control valve and it was presenting an error for a weak pilot. I didn't have time or the desire to measure the output from the thermocouple etc so I called Patriot because they're local and I purchased the Yelp Coupon for $100 in services for $50. When I called I made sure to inform them of the later.

The technician is still here and he's leaving very soon, and I am still without hot water, although I was able to get him to fix a cross threaded pipe that was leaking.

Bottom line, I don't like getting ripped off and that's what they attempted. After spending about 15 mins on the phone with Bradford White's tech support he finally broke out a tool and checked the pilot tube. According to him that meant that the Honeywell Natural Gas Valve needed to be replaced. Please note that I have the manual and troubleshooting guides for this unit and the technician never once attempted to troubleshoot the system according to BW. Don't even know if he can use a multimeter. He called their tech support.

Well I had researched the part, note it's got a lovely part code and part number on the side and the part is available for anywhere from 120 to 200 bucks most typically it's something like $150. see http://bradfordwhiteparts.com/Bradford-White-ICON-Natural-Gas-Valve-2394746301-BWC-239-47463-01.htm

Well low and behold what does Patriot quote me to replace the valve? $1190 dollars discounted from $1,400 for about an hours work to replace the valve.

I declined to be taken by these thieves. He asked for his $69 service charge, 60 of which should have gone to Bradford Whites Tech support and then initially refused to take the $100 service coupon from Yelp. I protested so they graciously took my $100 services coupon in lieu of the $69 service call.

Do not under any circumstances call these people unless your insanely cavalier with your money or unless you enjoy being taken.

UPDATE: It turns out that the water heater is under warranty for parts, but Patriot never mentioned that. How the warranty works for Bradford White, this is ugly folks, the contractor gets the part from the supplier. Bradford White suggests you call their local sales reps and have them recommend a plumber. Since you have no hot water and don't know the process I doubt this is what usually happens.

Now getting a part replaced under warranty by Bradford White is a nightmare. You have to pay for the repair, the plumber has to return it to the distributor and the BW. After 30 days if they say it was bad, they remit the cost to the supplier, to the plumber than you.

I am certain Patriot noted that the water heater was under warranty. So the net is that Patriot would get a hundred or two in backend parts credits when they sent the bad part back through this Rube Goldberg warranty system.

Please Yelp is there some way to give less than 1 Star?

This update is to respond to the owner's pithy little excuse of a reply. Let me be blunt, your polished methodology serves only to enable you to brazenly maximise your revenue. I sincerely doubt that charges thousands to provide a part, one covered by a manufacturers warranty and 60 minutes of labor returns only a 15% profit. You must have reversed your numerators and denominators. No one called to measure the customer satisfaction. You are liers and pirates.

Very disappointed. I called Patriot Pros about a month ago to get an estimate on some plumbing work. Our pressure reducing valve wasn't working properly and we wanted a quote to replace several faucets. After the initial visit, I was hoping they would just send me a written estimate, but they insisted that the associate return to my house to discuss it with me. I'm referring to him as an associate because I don't think he was a licensed plumber. He was very young and when I asked how long he'd been a plumber, he evasively answered that he'd been in the business since he was 10.

Between my schedule conflicts and theirs, it took about three weeks before I was able to meet with them to go over the estimate. In the meantime, I purchased a Moen faucet and the appropriate valve and drain assembly on Amazon and replaced it myself. I am not a plumber, but the Moen instructions were surprisingly clear and the process was fairly straightforward. Three weeks later, everything is rock solid with no leaks or problems. All in all, it took me - a complete novice - about three hours to do the replacement and I suspect I could do it next time in less than two hours.

When the associate finally returned to give me the estimate, he was unprepared and didn't have anything ready for me to read. After I explained again what I needed and gave specific model numbers for the faucets we wanted, he said he would put together something for me in just a few minutes. After another ten minutes in his truck, he came back to the house; after asking to log on to our Wifi, he finally showed me an estimate on his tablet. He couldn't or wouldn't print out a hardcopy for me to keep and carefully go over, but these are the details that I remember.

The estimate, to replace one pressure reducing valve and six faucets, was over $7,000! I couldn't believe he was serious! I told him I could get the faucets and valve assemblies on Amazon for less than $300 each, so then he said that he could quote what it would be if I supplied the faucets and assemblies. At this point, his numbers started to get really sketchy. Again, he didn't offer me a printed estimate, so these numbers aren't exact, but they're very close. First, the labor to replace each faucet was over $700! When I told him that was not even close to what I was willing to spend, he asked me how much I thought it would be. I told him that Amazon offers expert installation for $125 per faucet. He said he'd never seen that (I showed him the website), but then he told me I wouldn't end up paying that much. I told him that I was just reading from his estimate and it said $700 labor for each faucet. He looked confused by that, but told me the total cost if I supplied the materials would be just over $4000, and they could bring it down to $3000 if I would commit to their ongoing maintenance plan for $59 a month. That's still way too much and I have no interest in the long term commitment of their ridiculous maintenance plan.

At this point, I was getting pretty fed up with absurd prices and numbers that didn't add up, but I decided to ask about just replacing the pressure reducing valve. He quoted over $1000. For reference, Home advisor and Angie's list both say this should cost between $300-$500. So I asked him why it would cost so much. How much is the valve itself? He didn't know. How many hours to replace it? He didn't know. How much do your plumbers charge for an hour of work? He didn't know.

Throughout the process of simply getting a quote from Patriot Pros, I felt like I was dealing with a very sketchy used car dealership. Although the associate I met with and the scheduler I spoke with on the phone were generally friendly and polite, the prices and service I was quoted were not remotely competitive with industry norms.

I can't waste another second of my life on this company but I do think it's necessary to alert everyone. All I can say is steer clear, what they try to pull over on their customers or potential customers, borders on criminal. This is the absolute worst company I have ever encountered.

Javier, trust me, we were your customer. I don't go around wasting my time posting fictitious reviews. You are a borderline criminal for the way you run your business. Also, I used to work for Tom Martino, so I know how he runs his referral list and that's also a total scam.

Don't be fooled. This is a sales company more than a repair company!!
They state a $69 fee will be charged to come out and see the problem, which will then be credited to the repair price. They came out and said the cost to repair a pinhole leak in the copper pipe would be $500. We thought that was excessive. Their response was that some of the $500 would be applied to fix the drywall. I just want to know how much to fix the leaky pipe...$500. While they were here they wanted to sell us a water filtration system. I just wanted the immediate (emergency) problem fixed. We told them their price was excessive and to take a hike. We paid them the $69 for nothing but a sales pitch. FYI we found another plumbing company that repaired the pipe for $150. People in our neighborhood have the same complaint. Patriot Pros is always trying to sell them something they don't need. Avoid Patriot Pros at all costs...or it literally will cost you.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating to my needs. Gave frank solutions and was not pushy. Biggest downside was that their price was double another company. I am glad I waited to get a second quote. I would suggest getting a second quote before proceeding. Even if you go back to them to try and get them to match it.

Javier apparently tried to up sell to a complete faucet replacement when the final repair (at my suggestion) amounted to a new cartridge in the kitchen faucet. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say it was due to inexperience. In my experience, the first solution to a problem should be the simplest (and least costly to the customer). $1200 for a new faucet?? Really?

I got the referral from Home Advisor. Very nice young man came out. Fixed one item on my 15 year old furnace then told me another item needed to be fixed as well.... total price of $3,600.00 for both repairs, same price as an entire furnace replacement from the 2 other companies I called. Don't give them an opportunity to take you like they did me! There are more ethical companies to call!

I had a toilet problem, where the tanks would not fill and the water would continue to run. One toilet occasionally filled but would not drain. I called Patriot Plumbing because I found them in the Dave Logan Resource Guide, and they were based out of Castle Rock! Well, one guy came out. Very professional and really nice. He looked in my tank and made a comment that it was not filling up. I agreed. He then went to my upstairs toilet and figured that there had to be a clog because sometimes the toilet would fill but would not drain. He said that it would be a good idea to see what the issue was, but had to take the tank off, and recommended a camera so we could see what the problem was. He had to call his boss to see how much it would cost. Well, it was $250 to do that, plus the $89 to snake it. BUT, I found a $40 off coupon on line for any plumbing service. After going back and forth with my husband, we ultimately agreed to get the camera and the snake, because our toilets were not flushing. Well, the camera operator had to come out, also a nice guy. He did his thing, and there were no clogs whatsoever. The ultimate diagnosis was that we needed 2 new toilets to the tune of $1400 plus!!! We said no, they left, and we STILL had two NON-WORKING TOILETS!! I called my neighbor and told him what happened. He came over, looked in the tank, saw that the stopper had actually disintegrated, went to Home Depot and bought two stopper kits for $20 each. HE fixed our flushing problem for $40 and a six pack of beer. I called Patriot Pros to complain, and talked to the manager, who also happened to be the camera operator. He said we agreed to the camera, and based on our description, it sounded like a clog. I agreed, I accept that. BUT THEY ARE THE PROFESSIONALS!! There was NO offer whatsoever to replace the stopper in either toilet... KNOWING that they were old and in pieces, and the most probable cause for toilets that would not flush and continue to run!! Well, they could not give any type of refund. AND I already got a smokin' deal because the $89 was a promotion, and they gave me the $40 coupon, so I should be happy. Nope. He gave me a credit for $50 for the NEXT service we have with them. That will never be used. You can count on it. THEY CHARGE A RIDICULOUS AMOUNT AND UPSELL AT ALL COSTS!!!

Had a copper pipe leak, non emergency. I called and left a message on a Wednesday and received a response the same day, nice. They scheduled for Friday and said after their morning meeting they would call to confirm time. They did call but to cancel anything Friday. I rescheduled for Monday. I received a call and text at 8:15am that the technician was on the way. At 9:30 I called them since we only live 5 minutes from their location and I was told the technician might have gone to get parts. BS! Technician showed up at 11am. After about 15-20 of checking water pressure, pitching full house water conditioner, he finally looked at the drip leak we had and provided a quote of $1600+. He laughed when I said this repair shouldn't be any more than $500. He did waive the dispatch fee of $280 something, the only plus out of the interaction. Thank you! Called another company 30 miles away, 3 hours and $175 later fixed and with warranty.
I like supporting local business but just can't in this case.

Had a furnace go out 18 months ago during a cold snap and had Patriot come out. They ended up replacing both our furnaces (long story behind that, nothing to do with Patriot). Price seemed high, but we were in need and so we went with it. For 18 months both furnaces were fine until the smaller unit stopped working a couple of days ago. Called Patriot and they came out. Said unit was under warranty and that the igniter had gone out. Price to replace was $315, but since the part itself was under warranty it would only cost me $275 to do the job!

I said wow, how long does it take to replace the part? He, the owner of Patriot hemmed and hawed for several minutes (saying he already told me how much it would cost so why was I asking) before eventually saying I've been here 15 minutes so far and it will take me another 15 minutes. When I pointed out that he was asking me to pay him $550 an hour to replace a $40 part he became highly belligerent, saying that there are other costs to run a business and that he was the owner and knew all about that. Since it was 10 degrees outside I told him to go ahead and do it and I would do whatever else I needed to do after that (namely, post this review on Yelp). He then hung up on me. He also became belligerent towards my wife (she was at home with him), so much so that she was forced to tell him to leave the house immediately. So we will not, under any circumstances, be using their services ever again.

Complete and total ripoff. Was quoted 4 times the retail price on parts and 10 times the price on labor. They will lie to your face and pull all the classic scams. Please, please get other quotes!!! I have knowledge of what is a standard or a fair fee. They wanted three times what it should have cost to replace my hot water heater or just to replace a part. The part costs around $10 at Home Depot. They wanted over $1,100!!! Are you kidding me!?
I called another plumbing company, (Did NOT) mention names. I told them what I was quoted. They laughed and said, please do not go with this company. Even though they could not help me because they were so booked- they said Please don't go with the $1,100 quote. It's crazy!

Absolutely horrible customer service. We were called to do a free furnace check. I said sure, and they called a few days later giving me a 15 minute warning that they were coming. 20 minutes later, they finally showed up. I work from home and have my small child with me- I'm pretty busy. I told the lady who showed up (late) that I needed to get this done quickly- I was told it would only take a couple minutes over the phone. Their employee balked, told me she needed to give a thorough explanation of everything with my furnace, then said she was going to leave. When I called to complain, I was hung up on. When I called back and asked for a manager, I was hung up on again. These people treat customers like dirt, they did nothing but completely waste my time today. I will NEVER use Patriot for anything, and would encourage others to use other companies as well.

Patriot pros came to one of our rental homes because the air conditioner wasn't working. They told us that: 1) We needed a new air conditioner because ours is old 2) Stating a 2nd option was a temporary fix by replacing the motor as well as telling us our motor was installed incorrectly. 3). They sent us pictures of a motor stating it was ours showing proof that it needed to be replaced. The picture they sent was not even our motor!

Their quote for this needed work was $1500+ to install a new motor, and $10,000 to install a new air conditioner! Our house is only 2200 ft.². Luckily our son has been an HVAC technician for over 17 years. he has worked in both commercial and residential. We asked him to come look at the unit and he immediately so that the wires to the motor had been cut by the motor fan, which can happen. He fixed it in 10 minutes with two wire nuts and a zip tie! He said there was nothing wrong with our motor or our air conditioner.

Beware of this company!

We are so disappointed by this overpriced company. We called them about a leak in the ceiling of our finished basement. The looked for hours for the leak, the obvious answer was it was the frig since it was below the frig. They suggested the grout in the upstairs tub. Uh no. They upsold us to the tune of $1,111.00. That number is key because they accidentally charged my credit card $11,111.00. Yes, one more digit is an honest mistake BUT that $11K extra PLUS the $1,000 on my card sat there for over a week rejecting my other charges because I was now at my credit limit, right before my vacation. I called several times because my credit card said the merchant needed to call to get the charge immediately removed. They did not. Finally after 8 days I asked for $250 refunded to my card as well because of all of the hassle. They ignored this valid and reasonable request and wanted ME to call again on a three-way call. How much does the customer have to pay for their mistake.

Not a good company do not hire excessively expensive and they do not stand behind any warranties or any issues you may have after they leave. they charged me $12,000 for a tankless water heater and has been replaced three different times 2014 they came out again for another issue same tankless water heater instead of a Warranty they offered me a new tankless water heater for an additional $8000.
So after I posted a prior review on Google I got a call back from the general manager Cindy which is Javier's wife owner of patriot plumbing which I don't think he can no longer have his name on the company because of all the lawsuits (public record)
so you know just do not do business with this company. I feel frustrated and angry that me and my family have been took an advantage of!!! Come to find out the install was done illegally with no permit.

Under no circumstances should you ever do business with this company. This is a scam company. They will charge at least triple for a simple service because they have overhead like 'buildings and lawyers'. I had a blower fan on my furnace go out. I knew this before calling them. Their truck roll fee was extremely high, I believe $250. I was fine with this as it would roll into the service fee. The two technicians came out who I was very comfortable with. They answered all of my questions about my issue and even other potential issues. I had already researched how much it would cost to replace the motor (around $1200) but their quote was $3000. They called the supplier of the motor in front of me. It would cost them about $350 to get the part. That means the labor would be $2650! This was ridiculous in the extreme. I found an online retailer that shipped me the motor and I installed it myself for $400. This is a scam company. Never call them or use them unless your furnace is currently on fire. Scumbags.

Ha ha ha ha...as predicted in my initial post, Javier took time to defend the indefensible. More importantly, he makes the weakest argument for his defense..hey, you must be a fictitious customer. Why not just use this argument, Javier, nuh uh... Saves time and is just as effective. Really??? LOL

Initial post:

Not sure how these guys stay in business! If you accidentally call them, it's OK, just simply throw them out or ignore them after they leave. Based on Angie's List and Yelp, Javier must spend most of his time defending his charlatan business practices! Here's a novel idea: Why don't you treat people right, do good work at a fair price and stop ripping people off so you don't have to spend so much time countering all these negative reviews?? HA

Javier was, in fact, the person who came to my house. We had just moved in and discovered the A/C did not have any coolant. No problem. We wanted to call in someone local. He did the job at what seemed like a fair price at the time--until his fix didn't work. The unit started short cycling which is not a good sign. He offered(can you imagine the Grinch who stole Christmas in the scene where he, thinks of lie and thinks of it quick?) to come out and take another look.[insert evil grin on his face here] Of course, now the unit needs MORE work--which he slyly offers to do for us. Then we got the bill! $4000.00 to get it working right? WHaaaa?? A new unit would have cost us half of that! Our fault for trusting the guy. Here's the best part of our story: the unit stopped working shortly after we threw him out of our house. Another company came in and told us the work that was done was completely unnecessary AND the fix for the unit was a $50.00 part was that installed in 10 minutes--4 years later the unit has worked without fail!

Here's a tip: go to Lucky Duct HVAC and get them to work on your plumbing, AC, heating whatever...they are incredible and we have used them ever since to our delight!

Laughable quotes. A plumber came out to quote on replacing our upstairs shower pan. He told us 2200.00! We asked for a breakdown on the quote and his labor charge came out to be roughly 500.00 per hour. Um, I think no. We went out to Home Depot and bought all the materials he said we'd need for $225.00. Hmmm feels a bit like a rip off to me! Beware!

The plumber that arrived at my door was congenial, professionally dressed and on time. However, the quotes for 2 dripping kitchen Delta faucets began at $800. He recommended that since my Delta faucets were 13 years old they should just be completely replaced. These faucets are in good shape not scratched just dripping. Shocked I said no, just fix the leak. With each new bid the young man had to go back out to his truck and talk to his manager. At the third bid he asked me what I thought the price of repair should be, I said about $200. Again, a trip to the van, came back with a bid of fixing both for $360 - because he really wanted to work with me. I got a written quote. Looked up on the computer how long repair like this should take -1.5 hour and about $150. I called Handyman Connection. He replaced the cartridges on both faucets and even with a trip for parts the appointment took 2 hours. The cost $224. The parts were more expensive because he chose to buy heavy duty cartridges that would last even longer. Handyman Connection plumber also left the product number for cartridges so in the future I can all Delta ahead of time. Delta will send necessary parts for free for the life of the faucets. Also, Bryan with Handyman quoted if I had replaced both faucets completely the bid would not have been over $400. Handyman Connections give free estimates. Patriot Pros made it feel as if I was buying a used car from a shady salesman or trying not to buy a timeshare. Truly a shocking experience. There ad is beautiful in the yellow pages - their practices and bids are borderline fraudulent.

I would highly HIGHLY recommend Patriot Enterprises to anyone. The ownership and employees of the company are very committed to their customers and will go to great lengths to ensure that you are satisfied with their work. We had them install a new compressor at our house, and they repeatedly came back when a few issues cropped up to get it working properly. They have a friendly and knowledgeable team and I would highly recommend their services. They understand the human element of all the business they do and its not just some pushy people who want to use you to make a buck - in fact its quite the opposite. They want to make sure the people they acquire business from are partners with them, not just another sale. Please give these guys a call if you need a service they can perform - you won't be disappointed!

The people my wife dealt with were very knowledgeable and friendly. The HVAC inspection and work was in line with pricing elsewhere, but the plumbing pricing is another story. My wife was charged $1000 to have a pressure regulator replaced. They do not break down pricing on their quotes. After all was said and done, it took less than an hour and the part was the exact same part number you can get at Home Depot for $80. Live and learn. Definitely get multiple quotes.

BUYER BEWARE!!! One star is generous, but their tech was polite and well dressed and put on protective booties when he came in the house. We needed our kitchen faucet replaced. We called them to come give us a quote and hopefully do the job. Upon the 2 second investigation by the tech, he diagnosed that we needed to replace the 2 emergency shutoff valves. These valves were neither damaged or in need of repair. We were told they were unreliable and because of the age of the house (11 yrs) these types of valves weren't used for residential building anymore and used more in commercial. Right. Also we needed to take the fittings from 1/2 inch to 3/8 and they didn't make an adaptor for that. Right. Their tech then quoted us over 1250.00 (with discount) to install a 200.00 faucet. All I could think while he straight-faced and calmly explained the quote and how he arrived at this number was do they really think we're that gullible and stupid. When we declined their outrageous quote, their tech then told us that we could go someplace else, but it would be the same. We found the non-existant adaptors at Home Depot and had the faucet installed for a fraction of what they wanted for the job. I detest being lied to and that's exactly what they did.

If I could give less than 1, I would. Repair needed, leaking toilet. Common repair. To fix toilet: Patriot wanted $1177, replace a 5 yr old Kohler toilet. 2nd toilet, to fix a difficult flushing lever, Patriot wanted to replace toilet, 7 yr old Kohler toilet. I declined both repairs; paid the $69 service fee.
My Master plumber fixed leaking toilet, $125, took less than a 1/2 hr to fix; Patriot spent more than 1/2 hr sitting in my driveway before & after service call. My Master plumber never mentioned replacing toilet.
I suspect we were overcharged for sump pump replacement. Concerned it will not work or that they will stand behind their work. The owner's son did the sump pump replacement. He seemed professional, honest?
I trusted Patriot because they advertised in St Peter Catholic Church bulletin.
DO NOT use these people.

$600 for 45 minutes worth of work. I timed it. The 2 drains they snaked are not clogged anymore....but using their high-powered snake is not rocket science. Next time, I will go rent the snake at Home Depot and will be able to do exactly what they did. I have NO problem paying a fair price to skilled laborers...but their fee was outrageous. And it was a discounted price they gave me when I questioned their original cost. I should have paid their fee for the trip out and showed them the door. Probably still would have been cheaper to pay that fee AND the cost of another plumber. But in a moment of stupidity, I let them do the work b/c I was unfamiliar with the cost of plumbers and I needed the drain to work.

Castle Rock, CO - Techs are very, very friendly. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. They so over-charge you it is ridiculous. Our A/C fan motor went out - $108.00 on GE website. They charged us $1,800 to install the new fan motor which literally took them 20 minutes (and this was after they first quoted us $2,400.00 but could give us a discount of $600 - gee thanks!). Tried to up-sell us for a new AC/furnace system costing over $18,000 as well as new water system, etc. Told us all the things wrong with our system to try and sucker us into a new unit. We wanted to do this ourselves but it was 103 degrees outside for the next few days and ordering the part on line was going to take over two weeks. We caved and had it repaired.

STAY AWAY FROM PATRIOT PROS UNLESS YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT THROWING YOUR MONEY AT THEM.

I would not given a star if the computer had not made me do it, lol, overpriced, un knowledgeable staff, Oh The owner has all kinds of lic, but his techs don't, Save yourself the time and loss of work, call another plumber,The Trucks are nice, the tech had a nice uniform on, but nothing going on in his head, got a quote of over $17000.00 for a boiler, had another company, give same equipment, very knowledgeable, and had it done in half the time , Patriot said it would take, for less than half the price,$8200.00, Now there is something wrong here, will also send a complaint to the BBB, and to the Douglas county chamber for this outrage, They need to know the kind of business's they stand behind, This was for my Mother, a long time Castle Rock resident, how dare someone take advantage of the elderly

Thank you Jim

What a joke! Prior to purchasing our home, we had a home inspection, and it was discovered that they the gas valve in the wall was inoperable; it wouldn't turn. We went back to the seller to fix this, and he hired Patriot Plumbing. Patriot Plumbing made a service call (with 4 guys- a little overkill), and they said it worked fine, and left behind a new key for the valve.

During our final walkthrough on the property, my husband, our real estate agent, and I tried turning the gas valve on and off. It still wouldn't budge. We reached out to Patriot Plumbing, who told us it worked fine when they were out. The seller agent's office told us that once we owned the house, we needed to put more muscle behind it and it turn and work.

Two nights ago, my husband tried turning on the gas, he put more muscle into it, and it broke. Gas FILLED our home. We had to have the gas company out, who then cut and capped the gas line from our basement to the fireplace.

I called Patriot Plumbing yesterday and told them about the predicament. I told them that despite their service call, the valve still wasn't working. They asked me if I wanted to schedule a service call for $69 for a diagnostic. I told them that I wanted them to fix the valve, like they supposedly did before. I then asked for a manager, whom of course was unavailable.

7 1/2 hours later... one of the owners called me back. She had no clue what she was talking about. First she said her husband made the service call, then she back tracked and said another man had made the call, then when I told her I had a picture of (4) men at the house (a picture Patriot Plumbing provided to the seller as proof), she agreed that they had made the service call.

After explaining what happened, she told me that the warranty on their work was no longer valid, because my husband had broken the valve, and that warranties are not transferable, seeing as the seller paid for the work to be done. She then asked me if I would like to schedule a service call. Why in the world would I want to pay Patriot Plumbing a dime when the last time they fixed the problem, it wasn't fixed, and it took FOUR grown men to fix it. Potential customers beware!

One star is generous! To be fair, this happened a few years ago so if ownership has changed, then the new owner shouldn't be held responsible.
My furnace stopped working a few years ago and I called Patriot because they were on Tom Martino's referral list. The repairman inspected my furnace and told me I needed a new furnace which would cost approximately $4000. I politely showed him the door and called Time Heating & Plumbing. The tech from Time literally walked to my furnace and pressed the reset button, cleaned my furnace and charged me $165. He showed me what to do if it ever happened again and told me what filters to use for optimal performance. I will forever be faithful to Time.

I called Patriot because our A/C was not working. Javier, the owner, came out with his son because they are busy and short handed. Javier told us that the problem was that our compressor was blown out, shot. To replace it would be over $4000. Of course it was recommended that the total A/C and furnace be replaced for around $16,000. I called another company for a second opinion. As it turns out the compressor was fine. They replaced a bad capacitor for $269 and now it works. I think Javier tried to rip us off.

My boiler needed service and certification for home sale. I called and was quickly scheduled for service, there was a delay on arrival time but they called to let me know. I am sure that thee delay was caused by the outstanding service they provided to the last customer. Javi (the owner) and his son came to my house and did both what I expected and much more to ensure that I was happy. They are never rushed and want to make sure you are happy before they leave. I will always recommend Patriot Pros to anyone that needs service. Call them today and find out what a great company this is.

DO NOT USE THESE HORRIBLE PEOPLE! I was naive and chose to go with this company to fix my A/C. Huge mistake. First they charged me $2500 to 'try' to fix it (not only that, but also convinced me I needed my plumbing fixed). They eased the burden by saying that if they didn't fix it, whatever I paid today would go toward replacing my A/C unit if it didn't fix the problem. Well, still not fixed. So, called again and had them come out again. Gave me an outrageous price to replace the unit and said they only agreed to give me $500 off my new A/C unit saying that I must have misunderstood our conversation and I failed to read the fine print on the contract. Needless to say, I found another company to replace my A/C for $1500 less than what they quoted me. I wish I'd never called them at all. What a waste of time and money. This is an example of a company trying to take advantage of someone who truly needs help. Just horrible. Please take your business elsewhere.

UPDATE: THEY JUST CAME TO MY HOUSE TO HARRASS ME AND BULLY ME INTO TAKING MY REVIEW DOWN!! Absolutely unacceptable of a business I trusted to do some work in my home. They took advantage of the fact that they had my address and came over to harass me. Completely unprofessional.

These guys are fantastic. I had a broken shower valve, and Javier (the owner) showed up on time, and both he and his guy were extremely professional. He took it apart, and instead of telling me I need a new valve (which another company told me on the phone), he suggested I find the replacement broken part myself, as it's easy to screw in. He then helped me locate the company who sells the part, and the company told me it is free because the brand has a lifetime warranty.

I also received a follow-up call about a half hour after the appointment to be sure I was happy.

Needless to say, I'm thrilled and highly recommend these guys.

We had truly excellent service from Patriot. From our initial panicked call during a cold snap when our furnace went out to the installation of a new furnace, we experienced prompt, professional, extremely courteous treatment from everyone at Patriot. I would highly recommend this local Castle Rock company for any heating or air conditioning issues you have.

If I could have chosen no stars that's what I would have done!!! Worst service ever! We had a sprinkler pipe inside our house break and I called Patriot Pros because that was the number listed close to the pipe. This happened on a Thursday and they scheduled us for the the following Thursday. We had to shut off of the sprinkler system to stop the leaking and wait for our appointment. Well, Thursday came and I called to get a time frame for service. Chris told me the plumber would call us around 1pm to let us know when he would be on his way. 1pm came and went until we finally got a call at 2:30 stating the plumber was tied up and they would have to reschedule for the following Tuesday. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!! Who does that! I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy!

I just called to schedule an appointment to have some maintenance done in a home I manage. I was told I needed to be there in person - which doesn't work for me - everyone has always been comfortable working with my current tenant and billing me later. They said, We don't bill so we will need the money upfront. NOT USER FRIENDLY at all!!! Best of luck with your business practices.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Please hear me, my husband and I do not want what happened to us to ever happen to anyone else. We feel like fools for trusting this company. We trusted them, chose them, because of their name. Calling yourself a Patriot means something to us. Trust me, these are NOT Patriots. They are anything but.

We received a bid from them to install a new A/C unit in our house. The original estimate seemed very high so we delayed the job for a while. When we called back seven months later to scheduled the appointment, their technicians didn't show, TWICE! When I complained and cancelled, the owner's wife, Sarah called and blamed staffing issues for the incompetent service. We agreed to let Sarah and her husband, Javier, come out to do the estimate.

Since these are the owners, we felt like we were in good hands. We received a quote that was just as high as the first one and actually included less work. They also sold us on a new Flo water system that we did not need. Still, we agreed to the work and actually felt like we had made new friends. Oh my goodness, were we wrong! To close the deal, they hugged us when they left our home, making us feel as if we were truly making the right decision.

On the scheduled day of install, they sent out a technician who had only worked for the company one week, though he seemed likable and competent. He left several times for parts he didn't have on the truck, working until 9:00 pm that night. In addition, the plumber who installed our Flo system did not even know how to install the app on my husband's phone. My husband actually had to show him how to do it.

Sure enough, by the next day, the A/C did not work and our water heater blew out leaving us with cold water. Prior to installing the Flo system, we did not have any issues with our water heater. While the technicians came out to fix these issues, we began to see who Patriot Pros really are. The plumber tried to blame us, stating that the reason the hot water heater went out was because we had not changed the system's water filter. It seemed like more than coincidence that when they added a sophisticated water system that regularly tests the water pressure, our water heater went out due to pressure issues. Also, the plumber said it was our fault for not knowing that we had a water heater that was discontinued and out of business. Keep in mind that the owner himself, stated that all of our current equipment was fine and he would clean it all up. The plumber agreed to bypass the system to give us a functioning unit, but would do no more, except quote us $5000 to $10,000 for a new water heater, which was included in the initial bid.

The A/C technician also blamed us for the problems with the A/C, stating we did not clean the heat exchange prior to installation. There are two problems with this: the owner said he would clean our entire furnace upon install and why wouldn't the $13,000 A/C installation include cleaning the furnace? He quoted another $1500 to clean it. My husband challenged him and the technician relented stating that he had only been at the company for one week and didn't understand why the bid didn't include this service. He did clean it for free, but this did not solve the problem.

After a month, we aren't sure we a reliable A/C. After cutting holes in the ceiling and duct in the wrong place, they installed a new return hoping that adding more air to the system will help and eliminate freezing the unit.

We now have an A/C that is very sketchy. We had to pay another company to install a water heater. Javier and Sarah refuse to call us back. They sent their condescending son, who tried to be intimidating.

Lastly, they charged us over $600 for a permit that cost $150. We inquired with the county and told they cancelled the scheduled inspection. We are in the process of having it inspected ourselves.

Do yourself a favor, sort these reviews from lowest to highest. This is a systemic problem. DO NOT USE PATRIOT PROS! They are not patriots. Check their licenses!

Last summer, a hose bib in my garage began leaking. I suspected it had frozen and ruptured during the previous winter, so I asked this company to take a look.

Javier and his sons arrived, looked briefly at my hose bib, and estimated $725 to replace it. Then they led me around my house to discuss thousands of dollars in plumbing services I didn't know I needed and that were unrelated to my service call.

The hose bib estimate was much higher than my research suggested it should be, so I paid Javier his call fee and told him I'd let him know if I decided to move forward.

Later, a neighbor and I tackled the hose bib. It needed a new small plastic piece found in a $13 Lowe's repair kit. 10 minute job.

At least one of three things had to have happened, none of which speak positively toward my experience with this company:

1) Javier may have been unable to diagnose the simple repair that the hose bib needed, and he erroneously recommended a full replacement.

2) He actually did recognize the simplicity of the repair and chose to recommend full replacement anyway.

3) His intent was to move the discussion as quickly as possible to more involved plumbing issues in my house that would generate more revenue, and therefore his hose bib diagnosis was arbitrary.

Whatever the case, I felt uncomfortable during the service call and as if I were being led through a sales program and not talking with a professional who wanted to solve my problem as painlessly as possible.

Needed a sprinkler system backflow pressure valve replaced. Javier was able to come out the day after we phoned and replace the valve in one service trip. I called them because they were close. The outside hose valve leaked when turned on. They wouldn't give me a price over the phone except that it was fair flat price and the plumber would evaluate and quote me a price onsite.

They came over later that day. The plumber said all we needed to do was turn off the water, cut the copper pipe in the downstairs and insert a new valve/handle( this is a $20 part). He said it would take about an hour maybe a little longer.

Then he told me the PRICE! $1845. YES you read it right Eighteen Hundred dollars!!!!!!!!!!! I should have checked the reviews first!

I told him to get lost. I had 2 other quotes from $350-$500

Called their 24 hour dispatch at 10:30 pm on a Saturday night after realizing my sump pump was not working during a particularly rainy spell. I received a call back in under 5 minutes from a scheduler, and was told that there was no one available on Sunday, but they could be there Monday. She also said that if an opening came up on Sunday, they would contact me. Got a call at 8:00 am on Sunday and they were at my house within the hour. The owner, Javier, and his son came out and sure enough my sump pump was not working and had not been for some time. They were done with replacing the sump by 11:00 am, showed me how to test it and explained how it worked. Very courteous and polite! I am extremely pleased with the work, the service and the fact that they came out on their day off to ease my worries and avoid a flooded basement. I would have given five stars, but felt that the price was a little high, though I gladly paid it considering they came out so quickly and were able to fix the problem right away.

Sounds like a long explanation of lies and excuses for not doing a good job. Many inconsistencies in your reply as well. Prices are outrageous and have heard opinions of others that would warn anyone to use this company. First, we asked Javier who is apparently the owner if we needed to be there and we could reschedule. He told us IT WAS NOT NECESSARY to reschedule it was ok if we weren't home. Why he said that I'm not sure, because every time there is service on something like that you have to check to see if it's working right after you are done hooking it up. He failed to mention the other $400 they charged for the same job. I got excuses that he was dealing with a sick child and no phone calls by 9am. So many lies here.

I'm sorry to have to leave this as a review but...

I've been using Patriot Pros since moving to Colorado and I've always been pretty happy with their service. However, the last few times - where I've spent close to $40K on different services - the scheduling and communications have been VERY sorely lacking.

This time in particular, I was supposed to have a plumber out on Thursday. By 5pm, I was calling asking when the technician would be arriving. I know from experience they can work later in the day. I was told by the person answering the phone that the service had been completed that morning. Crickets...

I mean, seriously? I'm calling asking when they'd be coming and you're going to tell me they've already been???

When I had my heater repaired, the technician also installed a new thermostat and didn't connect it to my air conditioner - another call.
I have been a loyal customer and, in fact, belong to their priority club, for which there's an annual fee.

I will NOT be renewing that program again.

I left a 5-star review with this company in September of 2012. Not sure why it doesn't show up (maybe due to Yelp screening), but I'm so glad it doesn't. I am SO embarrassed that I ever recommended this company to friends. We recently had Casey come to our home to give us a quote for some work that we wanted done: 1) a gas line run to our kitchen stove, 2) pumping the sewer line in the front yard (I'm sure I'm not using the right term here), 3) replacing the water heater. I must admit, I was hesitant to pay the $69 diagnostic fee that they insisted on, since there was no DIAGNOSING being done. Normally trades do not charge you for giving a replacement quote. Against my better judgement, I paid it anyway, since I'd had some wonderful HVAC service done twice in the past, and I was so sure I was going to use this company. Casey arrived extremely late and stayed for over an hour. He talked a lot, but didn't seem to be very sure about anything. He kept mentioning about how he'd have to speak with Javier. I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt however...big mistake. He mentioned that he'd have the quote by the next day (Friday), or Monday at the latest. 12 DAYS LATER and I've received NOTHING. I call and get the run around from everyone that works there. Heather even tried leaving a terse message about how I had the quote all along and basically insinuated that my husband and I were just trying to be difficult and get our money back. I called her out on that and as it turns out, she never even spoke to Casey before calling me. ZERO communication going on here. Casey admitted to my husband the night before on the phone that he had done NOTHING yet, he had some family issues that got in the way of work. Fine, I get that things happen, but the BS from this place never ended. He finally did send a really lame quote that was just a list of prices and the numbers were ridiculous! I mean so outrageous we were cracking up. Over $3000 to run a gas line on the EXTERIOR of the house for a range! We just had two more quotes done (by places that DO NOT charge to give you a price estimate....which nobody does, by the way), and they range from $300 to $450. Maybe he thought we wanted a solid gold gas line! We asked for our $69 back and they agreed to return it, but never did. It's not worth my time anymore, but NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!

They we're very professional, timely, communicated well and got the job done right. However! Very much so overpriced. $742.00 to replace an outdoor water spigot. $592.00 after I was told they can help me b/c they don't have to replace dry wall. They wouldn't honor a 5% military discount or the $40.00 coupon on their website b/c I already received the special price. But the quality was there so there's that... I wouldn't recommend for the sake of the cost of the repair.

Our air conditioning was not working so we called Patriot. There service tech was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would not call Patriot a repair company but an installation of new unit company. They were not interested in the repair but wanted to sell me a new Air conditioner and furnace for $19,000. We of course did not use them so I can not comment on quality of service. Once we call another repair person they were able to fix it for about $400. I would recommend that you get several quotes before signing a contract with Patriot.

I never write negative reviews, but after our experience with Patriot Pros, I feel compelled to in the hopes that it will prevent someone else from being screwed by this company.

We hired Patriot Pros to install a new well water pressure tank after our 30-year-old one failed and flooded our basement. My husband purchased the new tank on his own, so all they had to do was take the old one out and put the new one in. The estimated cost just for the installation was over $3,000. (We know now that that cost is insanely high -- a reputable plumber would have charged less than $1,000.)

Two workers were here for several hours, all the while assuring us that things were going as planned. We were a little nervous, as the lead installer had mentioned casually that this was his first time installing one on his own.

They got the tank in and turned it on, and water began spurting out of the wall. The pipe from the well to the house was now damaged. Patriot Pros immediately blamed my husband for having turned the water off the night before, saying the pipe had likely frozen and burst. Never mind that the pipe is four feet underground, and the coldest it got the night before was 20 degrees, after a week of weather in the 60s. (We'd verify later that the pipe never froze.)

Later that same evening, Patriot Pros sent another technician out to assess the pipe and give an estimate to replace that. Mind you we have already paid over $3,000 at this point and still do not have water. Since we've already paid so much, Patriot Pros is offering us a 10% discount (said the technician, this never happens -- the owner must really want to take care of you!) to replace the pipe, totaling $9,000!!!!!!! We said no way and showed him the door.

The next day we had a local excavator and plumber come do the work for $1,600. He even used a missile bore to avoid tearing up our walkway, an option Patriot Pros would have charged extra for. He also tightened the pipework on the tank that was leaking as soon as the water was connected -- Patriot Pros had installed it wrong.

Long story short: avoid Patriot Pros at all costs! They literally cheat their customers out of thousands of dollars, betting that homeowners aren't knowledgable enough about plumbing and HVAC to call them on it.

If I could leave zero stars, I would. My furnace is acting up. We started calling early Monday morning. They sent someone out the same day around 6PM. He gave us a few options; replace the furnace for $15,000 or fix some valves for $800. (No, the 15K is not a typo.) We opted to fix some valves. He said he would come back the next day. My husband took off Tues from work, and called first thing in the morning to make sure they were coming. They said yes. Then they called me to see if someone would be home. Because I didn't respond within 15 min, they rerouted our service tech to another house. We were quite irritated as my husband had already called their dispatch. They agreed to send the next available serviceman. Our original service man shows up after lunch around 12:30-1PM. He tried fixing a few things. Then told us he couldn't fix it but that to install a new furnace he could drop the price to $9,000. He showed him the door at that point. Do NOT waste your time. So annoyed with these people. They're incompetent and thieves.

Wish there was a negative star rating... The only reason this is getting 1 star is because Yelp requires a star in their ratings.

I ended up dealing with Javier Hoggard who said he is the owner of the company. Be very careful of this guy he is extremely shady and unethical. Long story short. An electrician came to my home to install wifi light switches. After the election left, 2 3-way circuits had issues. So a week later Javier showed up with a new electrician and he wanted to charge me over another $1000 to fix what his electrician screwed up the first time. Claims he was just trying to make sure I got a fair deal and insure he could pay his employees. Yes you read that right! We had a 30 minute argument and I almost kick this schmuck out of my house. He finally agreed to just fix his errors for no charge. It literally took them more than 6 hours to change out 4 light switch all because Javier came to my house uninvited to try and sell me more services than I ordered and to call me unethical for not paying him almost the same amount of money to do the job correctly, and the new electrician that came to my house just fumbled around and honestly didn't really know how to change out a light switch. And... he had no clue how to fix my flood light that won't turn off after they installed the light switches. I ended up just telling this guy to leave and will have to hire a new electrician to fix what they screwed up.

The only reason Javier Hoggard came to my house uninvited was to make me pay double for work completed and to sell me a $22,000 water heating system which had nothing to do with fixing light switches.

Patriot Pros Plumbing, Heating, Air & Electric is complete unethical trash! Consider yourself warned!

About a month ago I had a problem with the sink in a first floor bathroom. The guy from Patriot Pros came out to fix it, and it turned out that the only thing that was wrong was a loose faucet fixture.

He would not accept any payment for the service call. I know very little about plumbing, and he gave me a couple tips on how to make sure the problem does not happen again.

The negative reviews that I see on Yelp in no way reflect the high level of service and professionalism that I experienced with Patriot. I feel very grateful to have this company in our community.

I was impressed by the initial presentation of the male owner(his wife seems to actually d the business side of the company). What a mistake. First, I truly needed a new furnace so I had them do the purchase and installation. It failed two City of Castle Pines inspections. First because they failed to install ductwork per code. Failed second inspection because they did not tell me door from furnace room had to be solid and have rubber on the bottom to stop ventilation through door. Next, they charged me almost $1500. more than fair market value for a new air conditioning unit which failed city inspection due to failing to put required electrical outlet with required proximity to air unit. Then they installed cheap water heater and failed to put code-required pan to catch water leakage from safety valve.

I too wished I had read these reviews.I went to Home Advisor because it was Friday afternoon and I had two leaking bathroom sink valves and I was having trouble finding anyone else. They hooked me up with Patriot Plumbing. They are extremely professional and the two bathroom sink valves were replaced and the problem was fixed. However they charged me $750.00 for a job I later found out should have cost me only around $300.00 which included the trip fee. Yes I agreed to pay it and that is on me. Never again to Patriot and never again to Home Advisor.

When I read the other poor reviews, they are scarily similar to my experience. We are experienced homeowners and I've been around the construction industry for years. After investing well over $15k on new systems, water heaters, etc. with Patriot. We have not gone one season without needing some sort of service (more money)!! More importantly, the company is clearly ill-equipped to meet the demands of its customer base. They continuously cancel appointments at the last minute and, if they do happen to show up, they have a very difficult time diagnosing the problems (on the very equipment that THEY INSTALLED). I could write a book on the issues we've had with Patriot, but in a nutshell: Costs are excessive, the repair/maintenance teams are understaffed and inadequate, and customer service is abysmal. In no way would I endorse or recommend this company. Going forward, we will be utilizing another company to provide any service or repair work on the systems that Patriot installed. I do not trust their commitment, nor their capabilities.

This guy is a crook. THey were called to do a simple main line clean out and immediately began t o sell me his presidential services and wanted to charge me $2600 for a $300 job. Got all offended when I called his bluff on his outragous rates. I always try to give local business a chance but this is why it's better to do business with well established honest businesses. I would give him no stars if there was such a rating

We've used Patriot on three separate occasions. Once for an ongoing problem with our furnace that they fixed quickly and inexpensively and twice for plumbing issues. They were extremely professional and did the work quickly and right.

These guys have great service but they are really expensive. I had a leak and they replaced about 7 inches of copper pipe with a bend. The total?
700.00.

Our kitchen sink was leaking on Nov 20th. I contacted Home Advisor, and Patriot Pro was the company who contacted me. They said they could come out between 8-10 am the following day. We waited for them, called at 10:30 to see if they were coming, and finally at 11:07 I received a call telling me the repairman, Javier, was on his way, would arrive in about 15 minutes. At about 11:30, he arrived. He verified there was a leak under the kitchen sink and indicated the faucet was leaking from the pullout. He said they could replace the faucet, and while there, he talked us into buying a whole house water conditioner, the Halo 5, and to sign up for a home maintenance plan membership at $39 per month. (we are so dumb). The water conditioner and faucet could be financed for 18 months at no interest. Another fellow came about 3 in the afternoon to install the new faucet, by 3:30 the faucet had been replaced and the serviceman was gone. I received a call that evening to arrange a time for the installation of the Halo 5. I arranged for 8-10 am on the following Wednesday. On Monday morning at 7:28, I received a call from Patriot Pro that the delivery for the installation of the Halo 5 was on their way. We had appointments scheduled for Monday am and I had already arranged for delivery/installation on Wednesday not Monday. The office then changed the delivery date to between 8-10 am on Wednesday. On Tuesday night, I received a call telling me that they would be there to install the Halo 5 between 8-10 the next morning, and wanted to make sure we were going to be there. Wednesday came, no one showed up. I called about 10:30, and they said they would be there about 1 or 1:30 pm, which did not fit into our schedule. They then indicated they could install the unit on Thursday between 8-10 am. After initially agreeing, my wife and myself talked it over and then called to cancel the Halo 5. Today I received the bill from Patriot Pro for the installation of the new kitchen faucet, it was $1,182.64. We were told by Javier that the faucet was about $1,000 and there would be a charge for installation. The faucet which was installed (Delta Charmaine) lists on the Delta website for a retail price of $531.65 leaving $650 for labor for a job that took about 30 minutes. I will not use Patriot Pro ever again, and if you use them, you will be paying high prices and probably getting the same sales pitch that we received.
