After several months the Tesla Nema 14-50 charger started tripping the breaker more and more often.

I tried contacting Charles, he sent me two replies I'll send someone without specific details when pressed for date or time.

I had to get another electrician to come check out the installation. They said the outdoor Nema 14-50 plug needs to be weather proofed with sealant. Perhaps moisture is getting inside and tripping the breaker.

Another reason could be the sub panel is not adequately supplied. The other electrician is coming by next Saturday to check the current levels.

Charles is cheaper than other electricians but the follow up service quality is lacking. Which is why I've decided to go down to three stars from five. You get what you paid for.

PS I asked him to quote me for fixing several light switches after the Nema plug install. He came by to check but left without contacting me again. I was pretty bewildered and hesitant to contact him again. I hired a different electrician who took an hour and charged me $80 for the work.

Edit: Charles reached out immediately once he saw my updated review, apologized, and came over to check everything. Looks like the breaker wires were loose, he tightened it, and the car charged properly.

Charles promised if the problem returned he would replace the original cabling and garage sub-panel under the original installation warranty.

Thanks for making things right. Will update again if anything else happens.

Charles is the most considerate electrician I have ever dealt with.  He was able to get the job done perfectly sooner than expected due to the need of the situation.  He is the best of all the electricians that I had business with.

Disappointed- scheduled an appointment 2 weeks ago for 8am on a Friday and 2 hours before the appointment time, I received a message from Charles saying the technician will be coming 1-2pm instead.

Still no technician by 2:30pm so I check in. By 4pm, Charles tells me they cannot do the appointment until Monday. My girlfriend called to see what he can do and he was argumentative and interrupting on the phone but said he will try to line someone up for 8am the next day. I received no update or anything until 6:30am after I followed up with him and he wasn't able to line anyone up.

I would have appreciated some transparency and better communication. If he did not have the bandwidth to do the job, I would have liked to know sooner so I could have lined something up with a different electrician.

I have had work done with CT Electric before and they did good work so maybe this was just a fluke.

Sloppy work overall. I Just learned today, after spending thousands on a new air conditioner, that they wired the old incorrectly. In addition to that they broke shingles on my roof, left my snow shovel up there, and left a hole which cause water to drip in. I was annoyed a few months back when he did the work and pissed now that it cost me much more due to the AC.

Charles and his crew were awesome. He actually did over $8000 worth of work on our property. We had been wanting to bury our power line for many years especially since our trees have matured and lean on the line during heavy snowfalls. Charles had to coordinate with Xcel and several inspectors to accomplish this. The work involved digging a long trench and moving the mast to a new place on top of a sturdy shed. We also asked him to set up an underground electrical connection to a future greenhouse to be built in the Spring.
As usual, once you have a competent master electrician and crew, you tend to look for other home improvements. He added several outlets inside and outside of the shed plus an overhead light. He replaced another outside outlet and added motion lights and a new dusk to dawn front porch light to make our home safer. The price was reasonable and much less than the other quotes we received. The crew was on time and they replaced all dirt (raking it smooth) since the trenches were pretty deep. Charles also checked a breaker on our Spa and found that it had be wired incorrectly. Thank goodness he repaired this! It was a huge safety issue that we didn't even know about.
We would definitely hire CT Electrical again!

Was good at responding to initial inquiry. He answered my questions and gave me price based on my description of the work. Obviously I'm not a professional electrician, so we set up an appointment for him to come by my house between 11am-1pm on Monday. I received a call around 11:45pm saying he's not going to be able to make it on Monday. And asked if we could reschedule for the same time on Tuesday. I said yes even though that meant taking more time off work for another appointment.

He showed up on time and was polite. I showed him the project and he told me that if we agreed on a price, we could get the work done by the end of the week. He told me this when we scheduled the appointment initially. So that being said I didn't bother calling other companies. I was just expecting a somewhat reasonable price. So we could just get signed up and get the work done.

He was only at my house for about 3 minutes. And he told me I would for sure have an estimate by the end of the day. So I waited til the end of the following day (Wednesday) and asked if he had a chance to send the estimate. I got no response.

Today is Thursday and still nothing. I would've been absolutely fine if he said he wasn't interested in the work or couldn't do it... That way I could've contacted someone else and got this done on time.

He seemed like a nice guy. I would've hired him for sure, but I guess he wasn't interested so he just told me he'd email me a quote and never did. I think better communication would be helpful.  Now I just need to contact a company that can be honest with their customers and communicate if there is a problem.

Charles at CT Electrical Services was quick to respond. We set up an appointment for him to do a walk-through of the house/project for the following Saturday where he said he would be at the house sometime between 9am and 1pm.

He ended up being a no call no show. I would rather have spent my Saturday morning getting errands done than waiting around the house for him.

Charles was an absolute Life Saver! He fixed my electrical issues in about 15 minutes flat! He answered my call and was at my front door within 30 minutes. I got the runaround from a few other Electricians and was left hanging the better part of the day. Charles & CT Electrical were fast, efficient, and very fairly priced. Highly Recommend!!!!

I was getting bids from multiple different electricians to upgrade our current. 110 Amp breaker box to a 220 Amp breaker box. Charles (owner of CT Electrical) responded quickly to my request for a quote, but came out on a Saturday to look at the job.  Charles gave the best price by far of 5 contractors which included being inspected and approved by the city.  He had a team of two guys come out and upgrade our system within a week and an inspection scheduled soon after.  During installation we lost power to a section of our basement that had been working prior and they were able to troubleshoot and fix the problem the next day. There was a minor fix that the inspector required before he could approve the work and Charles came out himself and fixed it right away.  This is a very professional company that I would work with again and recommend to family and friends.
