Water heart burst, made a call in a panic they told me what to do until they could get there the next morning. The next morning a tech showed up with a smile and didn't leave until he finished the job and made sure I knew how to work the new one.

I had a great experience with Water Heaters Only.   Our water heater at a rental property was just coming up on its expiration date and we wanted to replace it to ensure we didn't have an emergency issues when it went out.

The company was super quick to respond to setup an appointment and had tons of availability.  They arrived on the day of, assessed the type of water heater that was needed and grabbed the correct parts from their inventory.  It was all corrected and back to functioning within a day.

In researching similar replacements, the price they quoted was competitive and fit within our budget.

Called and was told they will not come out to inspect and give a quote without a $65.00 charge. The manager Dave was very nice about. It said that he needs to charge an estimate charge because it is expensive to send a van out for emergency services. If it's an emergency and your water heater is leaking when they show up for the estimate, they can take care of the problem immediately which is helpful so it might be worth it to you if you have an emergency water heater, replacement or repair situation.
And $65 will be credited towards your fee for repair or replacement

My mother's 15 year-old water heater stopped working. I called Water Heaters Only on a Sunday and John came out the vey next day to install a replacement at her Mira Mesa residence.  John provided exceptional customer service and excellent workmanship! The new water heater looks and works great. I would definitely use this company again and recommend it to my friends and family.  Thank you John and thank you Water Heaters Only for coming to the rescue!!!

Water Heaters Only was great! One call and less than an hour later, they sent a tech out with a replacement. The technician Justin G. was prompt, thoroughly explained all my options and the proposed job, and got it all installed in just under a couple more hours. This is our second time using Water Heaters Only. They responded quickly and sent a technician out the next day. Clayton Young did an outstanding job and is an absolute pleasure to work with. He went above and beyond to replace our leaking water heater and bring everything up to code. He kept me posted on his arrival time, explain everything he was doing, and even let me record a video of how to relight the pilot. We just purchased a new home and it came with an aging and unsafely installed water heater. John B in San Diego saved the day! I called Water Heaters Only since my pilot light went out.  Over the phone I was told my water heater needed to be replaced. The guy on the phone said my water heater was too old to be fixed. I called another repair person (see my other review) and had it fixed within 10 minutes. If there has ever been a company who only wants to charge you the most, and or take your money, Water Heaters Only is that company.

Clayton came out and replaced our 24 year old gas water heater. He arrived on time, was friendly and polite. He explained what he was doing and was happy to answer questions. He worked really fast and was finished in about 90 minutes. He has a great work ethic and does great quality of work.

Very happy with Clayton and the company. The cost of the job is well in line with other quotes.

First of all, they lied about taking photos beforehand. The install caused water damage, wall damage, stair damage, and door damage. They then continued to lie about the fact they had taken these photos. If they did, where are they? They don't exist. I however, have over 26 photos of the damage they did cause. Second, the manager is a huge douche who's only job is to deny and lie.
Don't use this company whatever you do. They do poor work and then refuse to take responsibility of the damage they caused.

My 10-year water heater tank had started leaking on Friday and I call several services some with no responses and the other that were already fully booked for a week. When I call the WHO, the call was promptly answered, estimate for the water heater replacement provided and scheduled for the next day technitian visit.
Technitian Justin, arrived on time, checked and explained the issue with the  leaking water heater that I had already figured out earlier and was ready for the complete replacement of the water heater. Justin provided to me the actual cost for the replacement that was within the earlier estimate. I agreed and he finished the whole job within 2 hours, accurately and cleanly.
Both, the office representative and Justin were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend WHO and will use them in the future when and if required.

Our 2008 water heater began to degrade over the last day with a leak then finally no hot water after 2 days.  On Friday at 12pm we called Water Heaters Only and Sean was able to slot us in for the next morning.  We were told 9am-12pm for Saturday morning and was given a quote based on location and type of the current water heater.
Saturday morning at 9:15am I received a text that a technician had been dispatched to my house and 1 minute later received a call from Jim that he and Justin would be arriving within 30 minutes.  They arrived with masks on and walked me through the work they would do based on assessment of the replacement work.  The total they calculated was within the quoted price and did not change once their work was done.  They were very professional and patient with my questions and did a great job communicating and cleaning up after their work was complete.  In total they able to complete the replacement of the water heater in  less than 3 hours (including the assessment and payment of services).

Ok... so, we moved into this home in 2009. The water heater here was well over 10 years old. Finally it gave out. Its pilot would not light due to some flooding (because of the rain we got recently. Call after call, the consensus was it's time to replace.

After requesting quotes from Yelp, we settled on Water Heaters Only. That's basically off of their communication and of course a fair price.

Danny from Water Heaters Only came out to see what's going on with out water heater. He was extremely professional during this process. Which of course, goes into our checkbox of good communication and work ethics box.

After Danny left (once he gave the quote), I discussed this w/my better half and so we decided to go with Danny & Water Heaters Only.

Please note: Once we decided to go w/ Water Heaters Only it was towards late afternoon.

Danny came back towards early evening and even though we could tell he had a long day's work and offering Danny that he could come back the next day, Danny insisted to get started while there was still some day light left.

So Danny got started and the job went well into early to mid evening. It was somewhat towards late evening when Danny got tue job done.

Once he finished he showed me and describe the work that he did. During this process we found that the (& please don't quote me on this since I'm not plumber and don't know the exact language) overflow pipe was continuously draining water. After some time of Danny trouble shooting Danny said that we require an expansion tank. I mentioned to Danny that the quote we got 1) the initial quote from WHO on Yelp and then 2) the quote we got from Danny himself after he came out to assess and gave the quote and that WHO told me that there would be no hidden or  surprise costs.

Please note at this point, the water heater was already installed, all the plumbing done and everything was ready to do, except the overflow valve was continuously open thus water draining from the tank. Basically, as the client, I had zero recourse in an unacceptable situation esp. given the cost of this job all together broke us to begin with and now being told that now there is going to be an expensive add on to the job, which we both (WHO & me) had decided and signed off on the job earlier. I mean heck, the new water heater is already installed and all piping soldered etc. What are we supposed to do? Just say, sorry we don't want it, undo all the work you've done , install our old water heater and thank you very much?

At this point. Danny went to make a call, which I suspected that he was talking w/ someone at the WHO office about the situation. Then, Danny came back with a blue tank, which was the expansion tank and said no worries, he will install and make it work.

Please note: this is already some time between 8:30pm to 9pm.

Not only did we get our hot water working, a brand new water heater, a job done to satisfaction but also and imho the most important thing being that we found a solid and fair company that will recommend to all of our family and friends and call on.

Saturday night. Flooding water heater. Not a good scenario...

I reviewed Yelp to find a good company, and Water Heaters Only seemed like the best choice. Not only were they a fair price for a new heater, but the coordinator (Christian) was responsive and we got things set up for the next morning (Sunday).

The tech (Danny) arrived right on time and was dealing with a complicated install. He worked for several hours to get this done right, very professionally, and I could not have been happier with the result.

Thank you Water Heaters Only for your honest and straightforward answers to my may questions throughout the whole process. As bonus, I saved $150 just by using the Yelp Deal, which seems to be the best in the business.

I hope I don't need to have my water heater replaced any time soon, but if I do, I know who to call!

We had a major problem - and now we don't. Danny #157011 was awesome - professional and worked very quickly to solve our problems, discuss options and spent hours in our hot garage replacing our 16 year old water heater. He took the time to explain what he was doing and why - I would recommend WH only to anyone who needs, quick and affordable service - awesome work Danny.

I usually don't write reviews for companies I haven't personally dealt with, but I've been on hold for over 30 minutes with my home warranty company after the dispatcher called to tell me they don't service tankless water heaters and I should call to get another company dispatched more quickly.

Really? A company called Water Heaters ONLY doesn't service tankless units? Not believing this could be true, I visited their website. Want to know what's listed under their specialized services? Tankless water heater service and repair. Waste of time, and feel like I was lied to. Now I'm still waiting to get another company to come out and help me get hot water for my family (two kids, three and under). If they lie about this, what else do they lie about?

Today was a good day. I spent the last few days treading through the labyrinth
of finding a reliable replacement water heater for my home.  The dreaded decision of having to negotiate a deal, that for the sake of argument is usually a no win scenario. Well, the journey was long and full of the anticipated challenges.  

What type to buy, gas, electric, solar, tank,  tankless or hybrid. Then the question of prices, size, and output, the actual water heaters these days are basically the same among the top competitors.

Years ago, one would expect to get 15-20+ years of service out of a reliable unit purchased from the local department store. I.E. Sears & Roebuck, F.W. Woolworth, Montgomery Wards. Or, like so many would just go to the local hardware store, where Bob, John or even Harry would hook you up. They not  only sold you their brand, but also installed and provided a service warranty at a reasonable but fair competitive market price.

Fast forward to the 21st century.
Deregulation and lots of competitive prices with a range in prices from $250 (cheap) to $10,000 (absurd).  Then there's the installation charge, state rebates, upgraded state codes, safety certificates, extended warranty. And don't forget you pay to recycle your old junk.  
Angi's List and Home Improvement. Been There Done That.

I boiled it down to Home Depot, Lowe's and San Diego @Water Heaters Only. Made a grid, listed and compared all the +/- . Then I ask a ton of questions.

Finally, I called  Shawn at SDWHO his approach was rather straightforward and relaxed. So I decided to give them a try.  I confirmed the appointment about 10AM and was given a 2-4 hour appointment window, same day, great! The  technician, named Danny arrived on time and explained in detail everything I could possibly ask about the product and its functionality. I let him go about the process of removing the old unit and I preparing for the new unit, with all the minor modifications that state codes required. Danny was amazing as a technician and he had a friendly personality that instilled confidence and at the same time pride in his work.

His attention to detail matched my own high expectations. Great job Danny J. You were very appreciated.  I would highly recommend San Diego Water Heaters Only. They are a serious business that cut to the chase.

Paul is a great guy! Our water heater stopped working and I called Water Heaters Only. Paul answered the phone, diagnosed the problem, told me  what was wrong, and helped me to quickly fix it and reset and start the pilot.  He did all of this over the phone! I really appreciate his honesty and help. The water heater is working now, but I will definitely call Water Heaters Only for any future problems.  They are very friendly, courteous, and helpful. Highly recommend! Friday morning after Thanksgiving and water heater died. Called WHO and got scheduled for the next afternoon. John B called to let me know he was on his way, showed up right on time, looked at our old setup and immediately said no problem. Even though our old water heater still had water in it. Even though it's kind of an awkward location. No problem. John was meticulous, obviously knew what he was doing, and explained everything I asked. Totally professional. All done for a fair price, and on a holiday weekend! WHO goes in my list of companies to call, companies to recommend to my friends.

This company was sent out by Fidelity Home Warranty to fix my parents busted water heater. They refused to replace or even fix it under the warranty even though it was clearly broken and not working. We realize home warranties are a scam, so we told them to fix it anyway and we'd pay full price. The crew said they were going to lunch and just never came back. We had to call a different plumber to do the work the next day. Terrible service.

This is definitely the place to go for a water heater replacement. Ours was doing a slow leak, so it wasn't an emergency, I had a few days to call around for quotes. Our usual plumber and other well-known places were giving us quotes up to $3,600. I think they were up-selling us, trying to tell us they would have to replace the earthquake straps, and all the pipes and connections, which was not necessary. Water Heaters Only got it done in one day for $1,800, and guess what? It works perfectly. Five stars.

They came out the same day and were on time. It seems they are a bit on the expensive side, however they do offer a good warranty.

In 3 hrs and in sweltering heat within our garage Danny labored away and gave us a great brand new 75 gal water heater that replaced a way past it's prime Rheem that was giving off rust colored water. He worked at all times with mask and made sure to bring our new water heater up to code by adding in the necessary accessories during installation. After install he spent a lot of time walking us thru maintenance tips and how to operate it. We also saved a good chunk of $ by going with this company compared to other bids I received. I think in large part it has to do with the large volume of tanks they install - they can source their tanks at a better price and then share some of that cost savings with customers. Couldn't be happier!

First hand experience with this company - Water Heaters Only. I, myself, called a local phone number here in San Diego County,  to get a Water heater installed.
I, myself was told the Water heater with install would cost $1800.00+
I, myself then asked, about breakdown of Waterheater and Install costs.
I was then told Water Heater was $1100 and Install was $800. I was told this by Water Heaters Only team member on the phone. I told him this same Water Heater cost currently on line was $703 online. He said yes, his company paid more ( now this does not even make any sense ) because Water Heaters Only has contract with the water heater maker.  Phone call to company was Saturday, May 16, 2020

We had our water heater installed by Danny this is our second heater installed by this company the first one lasted over 13 years! Think no further call this company they are honest great customer service i give them 10 stars ask for Danny he was amazing  thank you  thank you!

Water heater stopped working, traded some messages over yelp with a few vendors.  WHO answered the questions the fastest and most directly. Called to schedule and confirm an appointment a little after lunch. Danny came out, reviewed the work order with me, and in a few hours had uninstalled and packed up the old water heater, and installed the new water heater and cleaned up. He reviewed the controls and maintenance guidelines with me and we were done before dinner. Overall it was a quick and seamless experience at a competitive price. I would recommend WHO and Danny to friends and family without hesitation.

Our water heater started leaking. John Burns came out from Water Heaters Only the same day. He did a very neat and professional job replacing the water heater. At this point I recommend him and the company.

I called OWH on  Monday morning and made an appointment for midday. Clay their technician  got hung up on an earlier job and called to say he would be late. When Clay arrived he was extremely professional and well spoken. We came to a monetary agreement for a replaced gas water heater and he  proceeded to complete the task with alacrity and I cant say enough about  his work... AAA!!!
Replacing and installing water heaters are relatively costly given the amount of time spent for installation(2-3 hours) yet I would recommend  Clay and his company whole heartedly.

Very efficient and courteous service. We spoke with Nancy/customer service early morning. Previous water heater purchased from Water Heaters Only, Inc. 7 years ago. Nancy was able to pull up previous details by referencing invoice number. Technician Danny Gonzalez was out the same day for install. Very thorough and kind man.

Great same day service! Josh promptly responded to my call regarding our broken water heater, arrived on time to give me an estimate and had his team (Jacob and Eli) dispatched within 60-90 minutes to install the new water heater. They were friendly, polite and answered all of my questions. Importantly, Josh and his crew made sure that the job was finished as soon as possible the same day.

Quick friendly service! We called for an estimate on a propane water heater replacement and they brought one with them. The price was what we expected to pay for a tank and installation - actually almost $1000 less than the WAG discussion over the phone. My wife signed and paid and we had a functional water heater the same day - within hours of them arriving.

Our water heater blew out and flooded the garage on Friday. We got the water and gas to the heater shut off and started calling around.

We found Water Heaters Only, Inc. in Santee listed on Angie's List with excellent reviews, so we decided to give them a call. They said they could come out the next day (Sat) and have us back in hot water that same day. Based on the size of our water heater alone, they gave us an estimated quote range of $1,200 - $1,500 over the phone. We agreed.

They called Sat morning and said the technician, Patrick, should arrive between 11am-1pm. Patrick arrived at ~12pm, quickly assessed the situation, and quoted me $1,559. I was disappointed that the amount he quoted was just above the top end of the quote range we were given over the phone, but Patrick explained that was based just on the size of our old water heater, and he was strongly recommending that he replace the water lines and gas line that would connect to the new heater, and that he change the earthquake bracing to pull the tank against a single wall rather than into the corner like our old tank was braced. He also said we needed a heater drip pan per code. I agreed and Patrick started the work.

Patrick was no-nonsense, polite, he worked very efficiently, and the quality of the work he did was excellent. He was done by 2pm and we had hot water by 2:30pm. :)

I'd use Water Heaters Only again in a heartbeat.

Lastly, I chose to leave my review on Yelp, rather than some other review site, because three Yelp reviewers unfairly criticized Water Heaters Only, Inc. in Santee because they confused them with some other company or misunderstood the service they had been hired to provide.

Had a great experience! Got a new water heater after discovering a leak in our very old one. Patrick came out and knew exactly what to do. Very pleasant, kept me informed of every step, and gave me good pointers for the new one. Very happy with our new water heater! Def recommend :)

I called water heaters only and within 4 hours they had someone out to replace my water heater. The service tech, Chris, was very professional and within 2 hours had my water heater installed and working. This business is easy to deal with and very reasonable.

Our 18 year old water heater decided to spring a leak and after doing some research we decided to have Water Heaters Only install our new one. We received same day punctual service and Danny, our installer, could not have done a better job. Since the last install there have been new codes put in place and Danny brought everything up to code for us, and explained all the new regulations. If I could do negative Stars I would. Rude customer service, parked in my assigned spot to do somebody else's water heater and when I was forced to have to try to put my truck into a one-car garage and messed up my mirror the owner says he won't do a damn thing about it. I hope nobody ever uses this company just do to the fact that he won't own up to his employees mistake

Water Heaters Only did a great job replacing my Water Heater quickly and professionally.  Danny the technician walked me through the exact timing and steps need to complete the install while dealing with my Home Warranty.  He was courteous, friendly and answered all my questions.  I would definitely recommend using them for your install as well.

Pat installed our hot water heater on 4/27/18 and although it was a little pricier than we anticipated, he was amazing in getting the job done quickly and efficiently.  It has worked perfectly! We Are so happy with pat and the service provided! Thank you! :)

Water Heaters Only quoted me about 1600 for replacement of my water heater. I explained that I had to de-install it, do some repair, then re-install it at a later time. They quoted me $260ish for the de-install and a $100 credit if I choose them for the install. They didn't really ask me much and I didn't know what to share. Pat showed up and immediatly said the price was too low because a valve needed to be replaced. He sad the valve replacement would cost an extra $100. The the labor was still under an hour and a ball valve costs very little. Randy credited me $60 for the miss-communication so I was only out an extra $40. I had the drywall removal guys coming the next day so I was stuck.

Next, Pat said his truck was full and he can't fit my water heater and disposal wasn't included. WHAT!? They said if hired them to do the install then they would take my old heater back at that time.

They then offerred me a new quote for the install which was $1,859, minus $100 credit so $1,759. This new quote was more expensive than the original quote even though I'd already paid them for the de-install.

Pros:
1. Randy was nice. He listened and worked with me.

Cons:
1. They give quotes over the phone then show up and say they don't quote over the phone. Then, the quote is significantly higher. It's also higher than every other quote I got from every other plumber.

Conclusion:
They're overpriced and you don't know the quality water heater you're going to get. Home Depot beat their price by $300, took away my old heater, 12 year warranty, and a far superior heater than what these guys install.

We were very happy with Water Heaters Only.  We found out our hot water had stopped working when we got back from a camping trip on Labor Day.  I called, they picked up the phone immediately and were able to send someone out that same day - on Labor Day.  We had a reasonable quote and a new water heater installed and the old one removed in just about an hour!  Pat with Water Heathers Only saved our Holiday weekend!

Aja from Water Heaters Only replaced our broken water heater on 9.19.18 and he could not have been more helpful, knowledgeable, or professional. Urgent situations like these can be stressful but he came out within an hour of us calling WHO and within another couple hours had the new heater all ready to go. Aja was so flexible, even when we had to put him on standby so we could sort our a mess with our terrible property manager. He completely accommodated our situation and once he had the green light, we had hot water again in our home within 2 hours. He thoroughly went over everything he did and even informed us of additional steps we should take to prevent strain on the new heater and how to follow up with our HOA/property manager to accomplish that. Like I said, theses urgent and unexpected situations can be stressful and sometimes you are at the mercy of whichever company is available but we could not be happier that we chose Water Heaters Only and had Aja attend to this matter- such a relief. We found out that they have been in business for about 50 years and it is not surprise- professional, reliable, quality company.

I can't say enough good things about this company and the people they hire.  Our old water heater had called it quits. At that very moment I knew exactly who to call. A year prior, a gentlemen came over to light the polite light and provide us with a quote. Our water heater was 16 years old, it was only a matter of time before it died.
The first call I made on 4/18, I was directed to Valerie.  She was polite, sweet and very knowledgable. She set me up within minutes for a new water heater-same day. A couple hours later, Aija Harris, arrived at the door.  He was super clean and respectful as he had to bring the old water heater out through our kitchen and bring the new water heater in the same way.  He was so careful not to track dirt or scratch our hardwood floors, he even helped me move my table.  His installation is superb!  He knows exactly what he is doing and does not rush the job. I could tell he takes pride in what he does.  We are so happy we went with Water Heaters Only. My name is James Edwards and our water heater went from a seeper to a leaker on 3/3/18.  After calling around, we ended up going with Water Heaters Only, and they were able to send a technician out that same afternoon.  Pat showed up a half hour early, worked quickly and efficiently, and was pleasant the whole time.  The final price was a little higher than the phone quote, but only because Pat had to tweak a few things to bring it up to code.  After the work was finished, Pat went through the operation of our new water heater with us and didn't leave until he was sure we didn't have any more questions.  Even on the lowest setting, our showers are piping hot now.  As long as this water heater doesn't blow up within the next six years, I am very happy with Water Heaters Only.

Just had our water heater replaced called last night late and had an appointment the next day Pat was on time efficient and really nice .water heater is beautiful Way better quality then a Home Depot product ,working great. A friend of mine who is a contractor says this was the only company that he recommends when he's not in town they were awesome will definitely recommend them

Mike and Chris came out to my home on March 4, 2019 to install my new water heater. This is the second time I've gone through WHO for a water heater. The service was top notch. Everything they did was explained beforehand so I knew exactly what I was getting. Chris and Mike were competent, profesional, and friendly. I can highly recommend WHO.

Water Heaters only was a breeze to work with. They were able to answer all of my questions over the phone and arrange for an installation of a new water heater the very same afternoon. The installer, Pat, communicated well and worked quickly and cleanly. After finishing, he went over the set-up with us and answered all of our questions. I went with the company because of the great reviews and also because they provide the warranty servicing should any problems arise.

He was nice to me and my children, explained to me what the problem was as well as how he would fix it and got the job done super quick and with a smile. He told me a few times how much he loved his job and his enthusiasm was palpable. It goes to show you that if you treat employees well, ultimately they will give your clients the best possible experience. They had the lowest price by several hundred dollars of any place to replace our leaking water heater within 24 hours. Chris, the installer, explained our options clearly and even offered minor changes (like draining catch pan and pressure relief outside); so, I wont need to have my garage flood in another 9 years. Polite, clean, done in two hours, provided good directions on how to operate and maintain, and the price didn't go up from quote (even with the several recommended improvements).

I called Water Heaters Only because my plumber recommended them, saying they're the only company I use, and I have a lot of respect for my plumber. Pat was actually early and did not complain when I hesitated to have the installation done today - he actually had to make a second trip but showed no aggravation! Very polite, clean and neat work....I, like my plumber, highly recommend!

Saturday morning we woke up to no hot water. After calling serveral different companies that would not give quotes over the phone (with the exception of one) I became frustrated and took a break before calling Water Heaters Only. The young lady I spoke to was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions and set up an appointment for Sunday afternoon. The gentleman whose name is Michael came out and assessed everything then explained to us what needed to be replaced besides the water heater to bring it up to code (our old water heater was 19 yrs). After completing the job he showed me the changes that were made and explained everything he did from top to bottom. Michael was very pleasant as well as professional.

Our water heater started to leak on Tuesday this week 4/10/18. We called the company and they gave an estimate over the phone and sent Pat out to give final estimate. He was within a couple hundred $ of the phone estimate. Pat promised to be back in AM Wednesday and do the repair. He returned as promised and finished the install within a couple hours. We have had Water Heaters Only replace water heaters in the past. I noticed brown tinted hot water and decided to replace the water heater. The technician, Danny, arrived promptly at the beginning of the appointment window. He had called 20 minutes before to let me know he was on the way. Danny was professional and very personable. He worked quickly to replace the water heater and make sure everything was up-to-code and then explained exactly what he had done and which parts in addition to the water heater needed to be replaced/upgraded. We continue to have good service from this company and we recommend the company and Danny, the technician.

Our gas valve broke after 1.5 years. I called to ask for a tech to come out to fix it. The salesman promised it would cost 159 for a trip out and that they would bring the part same day. The guy shows up without the part and says they will need to charge 259 and that he would need to return another day to install it. 4 days later our appointment is set up for 4-7pm for install of the part and they call at 11:30am saying they are on their way. I called the office to ask why they were 6 HOURS early and the lady apologized saying the tech would be here at 4. The tech calls at 2pm and says he's a half hour away. He gets here and is less than pleasant in his introductions and then I requested that he drain the heater completely prior to installing the part (that's what the last tech recommended we do) and he refused. LIES ALL AROUND. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NON EXISTENT. I'VE HAD BETTER LUCK WITH CABLE COMPANIES THAN WITH THIS PISS POOR EXCUSE OF A COMPANY! 0/10 if it was an option.

These guys are great. At 9:00 on Saturday I noticed that my water heater was leaking. I called Water Heaters Only and they were able to schedule me that morning. The technician (Pat) showed up at the scheduled time (how often does that really happen?) and by 2 PM we had a new water heater installed. Pat removed the old one, replaced all the piping, brackets and gas line and we had hot water again.

I just wanted to re-affirm my 5-star rating. On Sunday, unexpectedly (as home repairs tend to occur), our existing hot water heater went kaput. Having had such a stellar experience with Water Heaters Only in the past, we promptly gave them a call. We were provided an estimate of charges ahead of time, and a timeframe (11:00am-1:00pm). Pat kindly gave my husband a call when he was en-route and arrived about 11:45am. The service was quick and easy. Pat was very friendly, and provided an overview on the new unit upon completion. We're so grateful!

Everyone has the fear of coming home to a garage with water all over the ground coming from their water heater. That was me today. So I go online and one of the first results was Water Heaters Only. Checked out their website, called, and they had someone at my house within 30 minutes. The person on the phone was very nice and helpful. He found out that my water heater was 12+ years old so it was time to replace it. As soon as I knew someone was coming I immediately drained my water heater to make the process faster. Patrick was person who came to do the job. As soon as he came he looked to what need to be done and started right away. He was very professional and got everything done quite quickly! Water heater removal, installation, gas piping update, soldering, pan and straps only took about an hour and fifteen minutes! Water Heaters Only did a great job replacing our water heater.  They fit us quickly into their schedule.  Chris and Milton worked quickly while explaining to us all steps necessary and answered additional questions we had with regard to the operation of the water heater.  (Got quite an education!)   Their work was tidy, and they were done in no time.  The final bill was within their initial telephone estimate.  We would definitely use Water Heaters Only again!

We noticed our garage floor was soaked and traced the source back to the water heater. Of course it happens on Sunday morning. Luckily we were able to get a recommendation from a friend for water heaters only. They are open on weekends and holidays and do not charge extra for coming out on those days. I called and talked to a friendly person on the phone who gave me some price estimates and helpful information. She set up an appointment for the afternoon. Even before the time window came, Pat called and gave me a 30 minute notice that he was on his way. In 30 minutes he arrived, just like he said.
Pat was very professional and knowledgable. He answered all my questions and did a great job removing the old water heater and installing the new one. He made sure everything was up to code and gave me instructions on how to perform the basic steps.

We recently discovered that our water heater wasn't working, so we called a local plumber to repair it. All we got was $400 poorer and more cold showers. When I called back to have them replace the heater, they said it would cost extra for weekend rates and wouldn't even credit the money we'd already paid for the unsuccessful repairs! Recently my Propane water heater started leaking and was in need of immediate replacement. This water heater is part of a two tank solution for my solar hot water system and is fed by a large storage tank that gets heated by the solar panels and pre-charges the smaller water heater that feeds the house.  With that said, energy efficiency is EXTREMLY important to me.
I always get at least three bids so that I can asses both the cost AND the competency of the contractor. Of all the people I called, including the plumber who I had worked with for may years and who had in fact installed the unit I was replacing, only Water Heaters Only was truly responsive to my requests and inquiries. In point of fact, Matt, was  the ONLY one who said, I completely understand... this is not how most people go about this, but this is how I would do approach the process. Every one else was only interested in their personal agenda and the specific water heaters THEY wanted to sell, regardless of performance or my needs. On this basis I gave them the contract OVER my long term plumbing contractor.
What was more, the installer, Jim G., not only contacted me in advance to let me know the exact time he was going to show up on the job site, but also was nothing but cordial, efficient, and cooperative the whole time he was at my site. In point of fact, I placed a follow up call the next day over a specific solder joint in the system that I was concerned about and he contacted me immediately to follow up. It turned out it was only a venting joint that was never under any pressure, so it was a non-issue. Once again.. professional, cooperative, and supportive of my requests instead of dismissing me off hand.
I would have to say that I would recommend this organization and their crew without reservation..... NICELY DONE!

I suddenly was faced with a broken water heater and no hot water on a Sunday afternoon.  The worst!  I called two other companies, but no one could come out for 2-3 days.  Then on Sunday evening I found Water Heaters Only website and called them. I was given an accurate quote and an appointment for Monday.  Two very nice guys showed up on time; I figured my old water heater needed replacement, which they said it did.  The reasonable price was what I'd previously been quoted, and I could pay by check or credit card.  The guys had the new water heater and all necessary tools in their truck; in less than 2 hours, the job was done with my old heater removed and nice new heater installed.  I was very happy and relieved.  Very good experience with Water Heaters Only!

Somehow a full moon and the sound of businesses locking up for the night causes numerous water heaters to all of a sudden spring a major leak. It was my turn for just this very scenario to occur on this fateful night. Either way, no idea who to call so took to Yelp to help me out. Came across Water Heaters Only...the name alone drew me in but the long history of highly satisfied customers hooked me. Anyhow, I called and scheduled for someone to come out the next day. The next day Aija came to assist me with the switch. My old set up looked pretty sketch to say the least and it always concerned me but Aija took the time to show me what was wrong and what he would do to get my whole set up safe and up to code. Told me the price for everything and that was that. The whole job took 2 maybe 3 hours and we were back in business. New set up looks great and we're highly appreciative of the job Aija did. I can't be too sure but I think I heard him singing in the garage..I could be wrong but whatever it takes to get the job done. Definitely recommend Water Heaters Only and will use them again in 10-15yrs when I need another new water heater.

Pat came to replace our water heater on Sunday, 6/11/17. We called to see what the best price would be, and Water Heaters Only offered $100 less than what we could find elsewhere, with no extra charge for weekend work. That was great for us, because we didn't want to wait any more time to get hot water, and Sunday is so much more convenient if you work during the regular week. Pat got the job done quickly and required very little input from us. He made sure everything was up to code and then explained how to use the new water heater, answering all of our questions. Pat installed my water heater today (05/04/2018) and everything went very smoothly with same day service! Pat called to let me know when he would arrive. When he arrived he explained what he needed to do and quickly got to work. He worked quietly and only stopped once to ask me to turn on my tub to test out the plumbing. We called for service on our water heater yesterday and Aija was at our home in less than 2 hours. He diagnosed the problems quickly and was able to replace our tank and add additional trays, plumbing, etc. in under two hours. Pat at Water Heaters Only was a nice surprise on a stressful day when my water heater went out the late afternoon day after Thanksgiving. He did the best job and was so awesome at every detail from going over my options to completed product. What a relief! I made the right choice.

Water heater went bad last night....Called at 9:30am on Fathers Day and was given a window from 11-3pm...Pat called at 10:30 and said he would arrive within 30 min. He showed up at 11:00am and went straight to work. Explained everything very well, was friendly and polite. Pat   seemed to enjoy his work, at the end he found we had a pressure problem advised us of the solutions with no pressure just a thorough explanation. We recently moved into a new place and just wanted to make sure that our water heater was functioning properly.    The appointment was made.   Jim and Martin arrived as scheduled - went through the set-up and made a few adjustments.   Explained what they had done as well as what to expect in about 5-6 years.  Very professional and thorough.

The entire process was quick and I actually watched the whole thing because I enjoy watching home repairs (although working on them myself is a different story sometimes). Jim was a very funny guy and also very honest. He answered my questions very clearly and I am satisfied with the service I received.

My water heater started leaking on a Sunday afternoon.  I turned off  the water and gas.  Monday morning I called water heaters only after an on-line search and reading reviews.  I arraigned for Patrick to come out between 1-5 Monday afternoon.  He arrived at 2:pm.  My water heater was 33 years old.  The installation was not to code.  Patrick quoted a price I felt was high, but he listed the items he had to do to bring it up to code and I agreed with the price.  He did the install quickly and methodically in approximately 1 1/2 hours.  The installation was clean and neat.

After making several calls, Water Heaters Only had a competitive price, had the heater we needed in stock, and was able to come out sooner than any other company.  They were knowledgeable and helpful on the phone as well.  Pat installed the new water heater without any problems and was very professional.

I left San Diego heading back to Oregon fearing my girlfriends water hear was about to die.   Thankfully I was able to contact Matt at Water Heaters Only who said they would be able to come out and take a look. They had installed the previous water heater back in 1998, which lasted 15 years!  

That evening Matt was able to explain to my girlfriend over the phone how to turn off the water to prevent it from leaking and bursting. This greatly relieved her anxiety.  The next day Matt and co-worker were in the garage ready to install the new water heater but did not have an electric model hand so they came back the next day and give us a discount as a result of the mix up.   Matt and his crew were prompt, thorough and very personable.  It was a great comfort to know it was being handled honest helpful folk.

Called WHO after our 75 Gallon LP heater died.  Customer service instructed us they had no WH's that would fit our needs, they would have to locate one.  If WH's is ALL you do, wouldn't it make sense to stock ALL versions?  Asked about tankless, wanted to sell us 2 units at $8,000 to $10,000 installed when one 11 GPM is all we needed.  What a RIP OFF!

Cannot say enough good things about this company!  From the quick and very considerate call I received setting up the equally quick appt. to the installation. Pat was our installer and he did a very clean install. After finishing, he explained everything he did and how to re-light if necessary. He also showed us the 800 number to call 24/7 if we should need immediate help. I would highly recommend this company and ask for Pat, you won be disappointed.

August 17, 2016. Quite satisfied with Water Heaters Only. We discovered the pilot light was out on our 12-year-old water heater, and would not light again. The tech on the phone was very helpful with problem solving, and was very courteous. Pat came out right away, and we had a brand-new water heater installed within 3 hours of calling. He was professional, and installed all new hoses and connections, without an extra charge. The price was a bit high, but within range of competitors.

This company stood behind their warranty. I was in a pinch. Was given a same day appointment. Personnel are efficient and polite. I will most definitely continue to recommend.

Our water heater was showing signs of leaking, that and it had a tag that said it was from 1983. We knew it was ready to go. Water heaters only was referred to us by our home warranty company. I was in a bind yesterday when I came back form vacation to find out the heater was leaking.  I called Water Heaters Only late and they were able to let me know what to do and they sent Matt in the morning.  He explained what was needed; was incredibly professional and helpful and above all calm.  He was able to get me a new water heater installed and replaced in no time.  Just amazing.  I used them 10 years ago and was glad they had placed a sticker on the heater itself to make sure who to call.  It was the right choice 10 years ago and even more so now.

I'd heard about water heaters leaking and catching fire, but never thought it would be us.  Until today.  Of course, just as I was heading out to work I see water leaking from the water heater all over the floor!!  Water Heaters Only mechanic Derek was here on the same day and did a great job explaining the whole process.  He was very professional and patient with my questions.  He put in a whole new water heater in under 90 minutes for which I am very very grateful.  Thanks Derek!!!

Quick and friendly service. The price with installation was about the same as Home Depot. The Plumber had all the parts he needed on his van. I didn't need to wait for hours while he ran around town picking up parts.

Got out of bed, and got a cold shower. I called 3 plumbers and Water Heaters Only, Inc had the best price. Jim came out fast and had the job done in about 2 hrs. Jim from Water Heaters Only charged me $929 for a complete installation. My other prices were $990 and $1225 (way high). Jim also knows his Job. The person who I talked to on the phone (Bill I believe) was very nice and told me the job would be around  $900. The extra charge was for a drip pan that Jim said I should get and I thought it was a great idea. I will recommend this company to my friends.

They had installed a water heater for me previously and did a great installation of a high quality unit which lasted 16 years with no problems so I called them again when the old unit began to leak.  I called on Saturday afternoon and Derek came out Sunday morning with everything he needed to do the work.  He did a clean, thorough, and efficient job at a fair price and I am very pleased with the whole process.

Living in Santee! We like to use local businesses when possible. Derek arrived within an hour of my call and, as he was described in other reviews, was excellent! Professional, courteous, honest and competent, Derek is an outstanding representative for this company! The only negative was the price. While I was quoted $400.00 or $500.00 over the phone, the final price was more towards $700.00. I cannot fault the quality of the installation, however and they came through on short notice and made my wife & I happy.
