I did not have a positive experience here. I was sent here from Ferguson while I was looking for a $3 part for my shower valve.

The employee at the counter immediately identified the part I needed and even went and got it for me. Great! I'll take it. We have a $25 minimum.

So he wouldn't sell it to me, he couldn't think of anywhere else in San Diego that might have it, and followed it up with a blank stare. I even offered to pay $25 for it, but no.

Just as I was about to reach over the counter at him the lady next to me offered to add it to her sizable order. The guys behind the counter were pretty uneasy about it, like the plumbing supply overlord watching them on the security camera would have them fed to his pet sharks for doing something like that.

Long story short, the only reason I was able to obtain my $3 piece of copper was the grace of a fellow citizen and had nothing to do with customer service.

I gave two stars because it looked like they have a ton of odd parts that you won't find elsewhere.

I was just there and I didn't bring the right stuff but they tried to help me as much as they could. They told me to come back with my parts and they would try their best. You don't usually get that, usually tell somebody to buy something and then come back if it doesn't work. I like the fact that they told me to bring my parts in so they can see if they can help.   The store seems to be new and very well organized as well as clean.

They always have what I need!! The quality of their products surpasses the big box stores.

Impeccable customer service. Wish I got the man's name but unfortunately I didn't. Older gentlemen skinny worked today (1/4@1pm) We broke a shower handle and because the part was a Valley part from the late 90's Home Depot or Lowe's didn't have a replacement. In contacting plumbers for quotes to replace or fix it, no one wanted to deal with it and instead they wanted to quote us for the replacement of the whole fixture and valve. 1 plumber (Gabe 619-398-7384) suggested I visit this store and bring them the broken part. We head over I put whatever pieces I could find (one that we didn't throw) and the gentleman spends 20 minutes looking for the correct part. The downside is there is a $25 minimum to purchase something here. On the upside the gentlemen worked with us to ensure we didn't go very much over that price. We purchased 2 replacement nozzles and a pie of gloves. Put us right at $27. Now I know for other people this store may be expensive compared to Home Depot or Lowe's but for a $10 speciality piece that just saved me $800 I was very grateful.

If you are in need of an odd ball plumbing part, don't think it's made anymore or cant find it?, you will most likely find help here, these guys have rows and rows of repair parts. You will be amazed at what these guys have for old fixtures. Highly recommended!!!

Home Depot recommended Valley Industrial for some tub parts that were not readily available.  The staff checked for the part but couldn't come up with exactly what I needed, however, I was shown an item from their special order book that the clerk said was the only thing that came close to what I wanted.  Since it wasn't exactly what I was looking for and there is a no refund policy, I decided not to order it.  The clerk rang up another part that I needed and when I said I was not going to order the first item, I was not able to buy the other part because there is $25 minimum purchase.  The only reason the clerk could give for there being a minimum was it's always been that way.  Lacking a better explanation, I'm thinking this is a poor way to conduct business.

Sat at the counter got ignored for 20 min. Then was helped by some guy that was not friendly. Then was told they don't take card after he found the correct piece for my faucet. Left to go get cash and the older guy said he had no clue why I was here and they lost the piece to my faucet. Horrible place do not recommend.

BEST spot for hard to find plumbing parts. After going to another local business where I was told what I was looking for doesn't exist, Valley made my day one hundred times better. I am a plumbing contractor and sometimes I need hard-to-find replacement parts. This place had everything I needed. My customer is now a satisfied customer because of their stock parts and very friendly, knowledgable staff. Time is money but I would go miles out of my way to visit this business because I know they will have what I need. Bravo.

I've been in the plumbing industry for about 5 years now and I can't count the amount of times the guys down at valley industrial have helped me out. Knowledgeable and friendly staff that go above and beyond to meet our needs. So much as to even be able to send pictures to their associates to verify if the right parts are in stock before making the trip. I've got a give a shout out to John at their Kearny (now San Marco's) location who has always been the guy to see when you need to get the right part in no time. Even the new guys are well trained. Thank you guys for making our jobs as plumbers a little bit easier every day.

Checked out this place to see what all the fuss was about. They are well organized and seem to have good relationships with all the local contractors. They place is tidy, with lots of parking. They are tucked away you would never find it if you didn't know about it. 4 stars from me.

I bought a small washing machine and was looking for the matching fitting. Went if Home Depot didn't have it and sent me to Furgeson no luck, sent me to these folks and they gave it to me in seconds. Friendly staff, the $25 min purchase is there but hey have thousands of items it's not hard to think of something else you need. NEXT TIME I GO STRAIGHT TO THESE GUYS FOR MY PLUMBING NEEDS.

My faucet handle was leaking and so I thought it was just simple to get a cartridge for my sink. Turns out not. Was sent to Home Depot to Lowe's to Ferguson's then to some appliance store that I can't remember the name. Found out they don't make the cartridge for my sink and was told that I needed to just get another sink and faucet. A customer pulled me aside and told me to go to Valley Industrial Specialties. You can find hard to find parts at this place. Long story short I got my part! So faucet fixed and if you have a hard time getting parts for your faucet, shower or anything plumbing...just head to Valley Industrial Plumbing from the get go. Many thanks to Angel, who helped me out! Much appreciated!

Came in and the guys were very helpful. Parking is big and thank god because I hate dealing with having to find parking.

Had a FANTASTIC experience at Valley Industrial.  After purchasing plumbing fixtures at Ferguson (big mistake!) for a renovation, I needed some additional parts so that the plumbing fixtures would fit correctly.  I went back to Ferguson where I had made the initial purchase and they were of no help except to recommend that I go to Valley Industrial. All I can say is, I waish I had gone to Valley Industrial to begin with! The folks (Jameson, Dave, and Isaak) at Valley were extremely helpful. They listened to my issue, and together problem-solved to find the perfect solution.  In fact, they realized that the part that my plumber told me to purchase would not work in my situation, but they came up with an even better idea. Thank you Valley Industrial! You guys will get all of my plumbing supply business from now on!

For any DIYer dealing with plumbing, you need to have VIS in your back pocket. EVERY time I have plumbing issues to deal with, be it bath faucets, sink parts, or any part that's not generic or in a box sold at Home Depot, VIS has it or some comparable piece that works just as well or better. The guys there know their stuff. No frills. They just get the job done.

The best plumbing supply store in town, outstanding customer service regardless if it's a small or big job.  Great prices, they went out of their way to source hard to find parts to save me thousands on re-doing a bathroom.

Wish they were open a bit later (they close at 4:30 so they cater to more of the professional population vs the regular guy who likes to fix things themselves), but they are a life save of a store. They have almost every single hard to get plumbing item known to man. Also the employees are amazingly knowledgeable and helpful. You will not be sorry you went here for what you need. Also it might just be the New Yorker in me but I prefer to support small businesses. Especially when they are superior to a Home Depot or Lowe's.
