Had them come out and for a quote to redo my drains and my main bases off an assessment that was done.  When the appointment was made I was told there was no obligation;  the guy came looked and said he had to climb under the house which made perfect sense to get an accurate quote.  He went to his car for about 10-15 minutes came back and said the office would call back to schedule to get a more accurate scope of work and quote.  Two weeks have passed and still no return call.  I have sense opted to take my business elsewhere;  it is apparent to me they were wanting to rescope the main but where it was just done at a cost and I was not going to pay again for this.  They are probably good for the small jobs but something of this magnitude your best off looking elsewhere

Williams was the tech that showed up to clear my clogged bathtub drains.  He was polite, respectful and honest.  I love an honest repairman who doesn't try to sell me a bill of goods. He demonstrated and explained  the process of determining if the problem was with the main line or just locally in the bathtub drain lines.  If it had been the main line, I would have been charged a higher fee.  It wasn't the main line, thank goodness.  Also worth mentioning, I had shopped around before choosing Stephens Plumbing. They had the best pricing, by far, of all the plumbers I called.  I would definitely recommend Stephens Plumbing. Great prices + excellent service = 5 stars!

I cringe at the word plumber and when I went outside yesterday to see I had a leak I thought to myself oh crap! The Plumber we normally would use moved out of California and I didn't know who to use so I called my buddy who said he heard Stephens was reliable. That said I called and set up an appointment. I got the 30 minute away phone call which I appreciated because I like organization and punctuation. Our technician Art showed up toting his mask for safety and was very informative and explained everything that was going on with my leak. Art did a great job explaining the process and what he needed to do to fix my problem, as my boys and I were in his ear all day. He had to cut away quite a bit of pipe which looked like a jigsaw puzzle and replaced with brand new simplified pipe that really cleaned everything up. It was original plumbing that was replaced and whoever built this place in the 60s was a clown. Anyway Art was outstanding and will now be on our family Christmas Card list, I now have a plumber who I can rely on to shoot it straight. Highly recommend these guys

Today, Stephen's Plumbing & ac.   A great team came to my home and installed a new AC pro ac system & furnace, it came with a great warranty of 10 years on parts, 3 years on labor, along with a new tstat.  Freddy was very professional and knowledgeable on home systems ,  jT & Oscar very professional for the furnace removal of the old and the new system.  This was a job I thought was 2 days, done in 8 hrs period.  This being a mobile home, spaces are very tight,  I will recommend this company to any of future home owners.  Great job !

Our Hot water Heater died on us. Called another plumber who tried to oversell  us and his quote was way to high. We called Stephen's plumbing on a referral and they were great. Came out the same day and their charge was $600. less. They were very quick and courteous. We felt they were very honest. They cleaned up up after themselves.  They are definitely our new plumber. We highly recommend them for their honesty and fair rates.

We had a pin hole leak in one of our pipes that was located and resolved; however, in the process additional issues were discovered during the inspection. Galan did a great job locating the source of the problem, identifying a solution and ensuring that the team followed through in resolving.  We will definitely reach out to Stephens to assist us in the future.

Galan showed up and was incredibly friendly and down to earth. He carried himself exactly how you want a service professional to be.

Galan gave me sound advice and found some issues that I can't believe the other plumber overlooked. PVC pipes not actually glued together among other things.

I called on recommendation from our pool guy to get my deck drains cleared out as the water was taking an extremely long time to drain after the last big rain we had a few months ago.  Art and Luis arrived and jetted the drains. Unfortunately they discovered roots and a broken pipe in a section of the drains that needed to be dug up.  Art came back the next day and dug the trench and pulled out as many roots as possible and replaced the broken pipe (which was also completely full of dirt and roots)  and explained everything as he worked.  Although Art was able to get the water to drain well, unfortunately some roots remain in a section that is under concrete which we have decided not to take care of at the moment.  Art explained what would be needed in detail should we need/decide to take care of that in the future along with what we should regularly do to maintain our drains going forward.  Art also tested our gas line for a future pool water heater install.  Art then spent time cleaning the dirt from our deck after he completed everything.  I would highly recommend  Art and Luis for their professional work and attention to detail.

I had a few companies come out to give me quotes to temporarily move my air conditioner, and return it when we needed, and Stephens gave me the best price, and great service. They were on time for both removal and return, very courteous, and kept the space very clean.  They even placed the unit on a nice new platform. They made sure the air conditioner worked properly before they left. They reconnected everything, and checked everything to make sure it would work perfectly. I'm so happy I have AC again. Thank you!

Our toilet has been having issues for the last couple of weeks and I could not figure out how to fix it. Luis came out within an hour,took the time to walk through the issues and did not leave until it was fixed. He was very friendly and fair to us. Really appreciate the professionalism and service!

Was trying to help a friend in an emergency situation. He was having bad luck finding a service with reasonable rates, seeing as he is on a fixed income.

When I called, their service had a technician call me.

When I spoke to Galen, he informed me of the typical difference in who is responsible for what in mobile parks, as well as providing his company's rates. With that knowledge, plus knowing the home was able to have water stopped prior to entry; we were able to make a good judgement call to arrange for services during the day when rates are more manageable than middle of the night rates.

The technician who came out was able to diagnose the issue in under an hour, not speeding, nor taking his set time to drag out service. He apologies for not having certain necessary parts; completely understandable because of how this home had been piecemealed and the part necessary was not completely a standard, every day use item.

He arranged to come back the following day, showed up as promised and completed the work in the time estimated for the quote; this able to keep the quote true.

I HIGHLY recommend going with them.

Second time I've used this company, they sent Luis who showed up on time to take a look at my leaking shower.  He gave me an estimate, popped out to get parts, and had it fixed in an hour or so.  These guys are legit.

These guys are amazing. Their customer service is outstanding. Williams was willing to go above and beyond to help my family out when we needed it. He stayed after hours until the job was done at around 8:00 pm. AND... one of my neighbors walked by and asked him to take a look at something in her house... and he actually went to help her. No appointment. No call. Williams just went to work at 8:00 pm for somebody who asked for his help.

Stephens also replaced all of the air conditioning ducts in my entire house a while back.

I had an emergency with a water heater that wouldn't start after hours and Luis came out late and got it working! Amazing, friendly, and the guy obviously knows his stuff. He had it working in less than 10 minutes and explained what was happening. Highly recommended!

Omar was Very professional. Even though my heater was installed by another company, he took time to explain the problem and what was needed to correct it. He took video of the heating unit to show me exactly what he was talking about. He was very friendly and nice and made sure I had all the information I needed for the next yearly service.

Stephen the CEO of Stephens Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning reached out to me to get some details as to exactly what happened with the technician (Pancho). I appreciate the time he took to speak to me about it and it was concluded that the service and work was not communicated properly. The technician explained nothing to me and expected me to pay over $12k, so understandably I was upset. Stephen was very respectful and made it clear that it was not their intention to try and scam me. Thinking back to it, there was a language barrier since Pachno had a thick accent and did not speak english clearly. Stephen apologized and assured me that their intentions was never to cause me any inconvenience.

We had a small project - kitchen faucet installation and dishwasher hose replacement. We got an appointment the very next day.  The office called that morning to let us know where we were on the schedule.  Victor arrived within the quoted window, and he did an excellent job.  Professional, courteous, and responsive.  Victor and Stephens Plumbing are now our go-to service providers!

Chris & Trever were clean and courteous and very informative - I used their service to replace a Heating system (Rolling Hills CA) . They were both polite and answered all of my questions. I would highly recommend them.

Stephens Plumbing & Heating was professional from the first call to the completed project. Our A/C was on the fritz just as it started to broil. I called Stephens and the next morning, Oscar came out to do a simple repair. He identified the problem immediately and got our A/C up and working. Combining the Yelp voucher I purchased, the entire fix was only $50! I was so pleasantly surprised and relieved. I'll be calling Stephens in the future. Can't recommend more! Our repairman Oscar was very friendly and thorough as well.

Much like Barbara H below, I made an appt for 8-12 and they didn't show. I called at least 10 times to get an estimate. They called me at 3:30 to say they were not coming at all. Don't waste an entire day on these people.

Pedro nailed it!!  Had wonky pvc line outside house that ran down our two story house. He was able to reroute and eliminated unsightly line. He also wired new thermostat.

I had a leak, and found Stephen's plumbing through yelp. I really needed someone today as all of the water had to be shut off and I had 3 people in the house who need water.

The person whom I spoke to on the phone was very cordial and helpful. I believe it was Ryan. They were able to come out today. I called many other companies who were booked solid.

So, I'm writing this review in advance, but I must say that my experience with Stephen's Plumbing so far has been as good as it could get for me under this circumstance.

The dispatcher promised to call back shortly, which he did, and was able to schedule me in the same day between 3:30 and 4:30.

They sent out their technician named, Louie. Louie was great! Nice young man. He was very helpful and fixed our problem. After he welded pipes together he took time to go over everything and make sure the job was done right and no more leaking would occur and checked all around.

He asked me if I knew about their pricing? I said no, I hadn't asked. He proceeded to tell me, and it was very reasonable!

I am extremely happy with the job they did in every way and will definitely use them again if I need someone!

I am grateful to have 3 people not miserable left without water for a day or too!

Reached out to them through yelp within 30 min we already had an appointment for the next day. Luis serviced my sink and was great! He explained the issue with my sink and snaked it quickly. Definitely will use them again!

Had to change my Garbage disposal and Matthew from did a really good job with no issues at all. Very professional and friendly

I highly highly highly un-recommend this service for any plumbing issues.

I had them come out on Wednesday of last week to give me a quote (which I later found out to be extremely high) to fix a broken pipe under my house coming from the second story to the first story out to the main drain. The experienced plumber stated it would take a full crew a few hours and the service could be completed Friday. After getting off work at 7am after being up all night I came home to expect a plumbing crew who had not shown up. I received a call from the experienced plumber and he stated after further consideration that there would have to be some wet dirt/ mud removed by a professional company before they could do the work. Why didn't he mention that two days prior? He recommended a dry out company and said to call them. I called the company and they stated they could come over and do the work immediately (0930). I called Stevens and asked if they dried the dirt then and now if they could still do the repair today and the stated yes no problem we can be right over when they are done this afternoon. I let the dry down company know they were good to go and that the $2500 dirt removal service Stevens had required was a go. Mid dry out service I received a phone call from Stevens starting sorry we mistakenly over booked and we can't do your repair until Tuesday of next week (4 days from now). With this $2500 wet dirt removal service they requested currently underway, what made them think waiting 4 additional days would be an option after a verbal agreement they would come immediately following the wet dirt removal?

I was extremely upset they did that to me while I had wet dirt actively being removed from underneath my house. The unapologetic man on the phone stated it was not his fault and that his Plummer was confused. I told him that's no way to do business and mess with The livelihood and finances of customers already facing financial strains during these times. They left me without a Plummer while wet dirt was being removed.

Thankfully the wet dirt crew knew a great Plummer who came and did Twice the work for %50 less than what they quoted me. They gave me a $1700 invoice for a $875 job.

All in all I was out over $4000.
I would never hire Stevens to replace a light bulb much less step foot in my house do do plumbing ever again. Very unprofessional plumber with zero people skills and no follow through. Lack of communication and follow through with terrible customer service from the clerical staff as well. And they over charge and bail on you last minute.

Be ware of Stevens.

They responded promptly to my request for a quote but said they don't do quotes without assessing the work first - and then said they don't do their assessments on weekends.  I appreciated that they offered to do a no charge estimate but wanted at least of cost range for something we thought was very straightforward.  Consequently, we did not go forward with them

My fifteen year old air conditioning unit decided it was done.  I called three contractors to get bids.  When Omar came out for the estimate, I knew that Stephens was the vendor I wanted to use.  He was friendly and knowledgeable.  The first two bids were roughly the same price so i expected Stephens to be similar.  I was wrong.  They were significantly less money.  In fact, I had to verify with Ryan Stephens that their bid included all the parts and installation.  On install date, Omar came with Chris and Matt.  All three experienced professionals and did an excellent installation.  They covered the work areas to keep it clean. They did not let their ladder damage the walls of the spiral staircase (nearly every vendors seems to do that).  In the end, we have a powerful air conditioning unit.  Now i just need to wait for the weather to warm up so I can enjoy it.

Jose Galan saved the day. Never imagined how bad it was until our toilets clogged up. Called Stephens plumbing as an emergency and they sent Jose Galán very profesional and knowledgeable. He wasn't able to do the job that night due to it being dark and having to go under our home at night would have been difficult and he needed the proper tools to really go in deep but he came right on time early morning which I'm thankful for him I live in a mobile home which he went under and let us know that our tubing wasn't the best constructed everything was backwards which made everything worse for the whole home in general and that was causing the blockage. Boy was he great! He advised different options and decided it was best to add what was needed. It's my first time ever having to deal with plumbing but if ever needed again I'd call Stephens plumbing again and request Galán to come help save us thank you for your work!

I was in one real shitty situation

Stephens plumbing is great.  Used them many times either with mainline maintenance or other plumbing issues over the last 10+ years. Good services at a very reasonable price.  Jose the hydro jet specialist is very friendly and informative.  We used his hydro jet service annually for our mainline roots cleaning.

Called Stephens plumbing on Wednesday morning to replace two kitchen sink valves that were leaking under the sink and they came right out around noon that same day. Very friendly plumber that took care of the valves right away! I will use them from now on, very happy with the service I received.

I appreciate that I called at the end of the day, right after business hours, and Omar came to my business to look at our AC leak within in the hour. (I had to pay after hours price, which wasn't too bad). I was calling around and having a hard time finding a company who repairs commercial AC's. He was right on time and quickly diagnosed the problem with my leaking AC and everything was up and running in no time. Omar also gave me tips on how to keep the AC running its best. Stephens is who I will call whenever I need repairs.

My AC went out at 7pm during recent heat advisory. I called at least 6 places listed as having 24 emergency services available. Stephens Plumbing were the only ones who said they could be there that night. I expected it would be a few hours but tech was at my house within an hour. He was professional, had appropriate PPE and engaged in his work. Based on my description over the phone he was fairly certain of the problem and fairly sure he'd have the part. It was what he thought and he had the part. He was finished within 30-40 minutes. It was worth every penny for the emergency service call which I might add I thought reasonably priced for emergency call.

Happy to see a business that's professional and has great customer service. They're now my plumber and HVAC company of choice.

Our gardener accidentally ran over the main sprinkler valve so after the water department shut the water off I called Stevens. Rico came out the next morning and was beyond helpful. He could have taken one look at the old pipes and recommended replacing the entire main line however spent the extra time carefully working with the rusted out pipes and found a solutionist that saved us a few thousand dollars. He could have gouged us but instead put in the extra effort to do the right thing. Need more people like that especially for first time home owners! 10/10 recommend

Miguel and Byran came out today from Stephens plumbing to inspect our sewer and give us a bid for repairs. They arrived during the window we were given, were friendly, and efficient with their work. We had Stephens plumbing install a water line for our fridge a few months ago, as well as clear a blockage in our shower drain. We have found their prices to be competitive with other local plumbers.

Wow...where do I begin. I was referred to Stephen's by our realtor, who's used them for many years and has had nothing but great experiences, but wasn't sure what to expect. Called for an appointment to fix a problem with our heater and they were able to send a service team out the next day. Omar and Oscar came over, were great to work with, very professional and very experienced when it came to working on HVAC equipment. They also did a great job fixing the gas valve on my fireplace. I highly recommend these guys!  Had an urgent need to fix a leak that sprung in hot water heater.  They came same day, had all the needed spare parts in their truck and completed the replacement and tested the new hoses and pipes all within one hour!  I even got a 15% discount.  Love this businesses support, service, professionalism, knowledge and expertise.

They have a service answering their phone saying they will do a diagnostic test for 105. I told them I have a leak.  Then he comes out saying it is 1250 for the day.  Awful customer service!

We had a plumbing disaster at our house.  A pipe was leaking in our crawl space for who knows how long.  It was a lake down there.  A week ago, at midnight, my wife & I realized we had a problem and turned off the water to the house.

After reading all the excellent 5 Star Reviews on Yelp, I called Stephens Plumbing and Heating, the first thing in the morning.

Williams was the plumber sent on the job.  He was excellent.  He arrived early in the afternoon, as promised.  He crawled under the house into a sea of mud and diagnosed the problem.  Williams was able to put a temporary patch on immediately so we could have hot water.  He returned the following day, again on time, and completed the permanent fix.

I have nothing but high praise for Williams' professional demeanor, his calm and thorough explanations of all relevant information, and his timely and expert work.

I highly recommend Williams and Stephens Plumbing.

If I could give less than 1 star I would....  made an aptmt to check for a leak in my chimney valve and to secure pipes below my home ....

guy does not come with the machine to check if I have a leak and suggests I break through wall to see if I have a leak.  Really!!!!

The guy can't give me an estimate for securing the pipes...  I don't know how long it can take...  one hour or 10 hours and you don't have time today, plus your upset. Really!!

Don't waste your only day off on this bull!

First time calling this company for emergency service. Something inside my shower knob snapped and my water wouldn't shut off. They scheduled me for a service call around 11-2 or something and then a few hours later they called me saying that there's been a delay and they can't come until 2-4pm. Plumber arrived close to 4 and I asked him what was wrong. He literally looked for not even 15 seconds and said I don't know but you're looking at a $300-500 repair if it's an outside issue or $1200-1400 if I have to fix something inside the wall. That is RIDICULOUS. He didn't even take anything apart to examine it, didn't spend more than 1 min to diagnose the issue fully. He just GLANCED at it. Barely touched it with his finger. How can you give me a quote that big when you don't even know what's wrong with it? And barely spent 1 min examining? This overall made me feel extremely uneasy.

Then he said he had to take all the parts with him and rebuild it at home and figure it out that way, then come back another day and rebuild it possibly with new parts and what not. I was panicking about my water leaking (which was leaking since 8 am when the damage happened until he arrived) and now he's telling me he can't fix it right away. At the most he capped it so that I can have ease of mind and water will stop leaking, but I can't use my shower until he comes back.

I agreed to the appointment because I felt very helpless and many plumbing companies close at 5 or 6 pm. It was also just before New Years and on a Friday so I know it'll be hard to book another appointment soon with someone else.

Anyways, my dad told me to cancel the appointment because the plumber was ripping me off and shouldn't have taken the parts with him in the first place. We ended up having to rebuy everything after I cancelled the appointment which added up to $100+ and called a different plumber. This plumber was able to fix it in two hours for $300 and explained what he thought the issue was after examining for at least 15 min, trouble shooting with me, and asking tons of questions.

Stephens plumbing, the plumber you sent to my house was named Galan and he is the worst plumber I have ever experienced. It made me very skeptical of the plumbing business over all. Will not be calling this company for help ever again.

He came to inspect the job on a Saturday afternoon. After seeing that it was a 2 person job,made arrangements to come back on Monday,to take care of the issue......caused by another plumbing company!
Monday rolled around,and he arrived at 10 am,when he said he would,with his co-worker Arturo. By 1:00 pm,the repair was complete!
During the repair process,Galan made no attempts at up selling the job,and also confirmed that the other guys (the same guys that caused the issue),were not telling the truth about the current condition of drain system.

I called a couple of companies who didn't want to come out to address my problems with the heating and air.  When I called Stephens, they told me that one of their employees would be calling me soon.  Got the call from Oscar and he came out the next day as I requested.  Quickly noticed the air conditioning problem and is ordering the part to fix the heater.  Fast, friendly, and helpful.  I'm hoping he will track down the heating element and get me in top shape shortly.  Thanks for doing what others didn't want to deal with.

Omar is very pleasant and professional. He did his best to service my old heater but was unable to fix the issues. He showed up on time and did quick replacement with a new wall heater and piping. I highly recommend Stephens Plumbing service!

We had a small issue with the coil that went from the toilet to the wall. Victor came out to replace it and he was awesome. He checked out our downstairs toilet to make sure it was good and even glanced at our faucets. He noticed a crack at the bottom of our toilet tank and said to keep an eye on it. He told me what kind of toilet to buy when we decided to and then just call for an install. Sure enough, the time came soon so we bought a tank and he came out and installed it. That saved us some money. Fast forward to a few months later and the coil from the wall to the water heater started leaking! We called and they sent out William's to fix it. He was just as great and helpful. He answered some questions I had on tankless vs. Tank heaters and even took a look at our other plumbing making sure everything was working great. The office people are great too. The keep you informed on arrival times and such. I will only use these guys forsure!

After having a very unsavory experience with another company, Stephens Plumbing came in and didn't try to upsell me on unnecessary and costly replacements. Omar was punctual, professional, and very down to earth. He explained what the issue was with a small part and was able to fix my AC compressor with the inventory he had on hand in less time than the horse and pony show took with the other company. He also noticed that a washer that connected the high voltage wires to the compressor was cracked, so he offered to fix that as well to avoid any potential danger in the future. I found Stephens Plumbing on Yelp after not being able to schedule my typical go-to plumber.  I had a mystery leak in the toilet of one of my rental units.  I messed with the supply line, the valve, etc but could not find the source of the water.  Enter Galan from Stephens Plumbing.  Galan showed up on time and quickly diagnosed that I had an almost invisible hairline crack in the tank that was leaking water.  At this point my only real option was to replace the toilet which Galan expertly did.  Galan was personable, patient and skilled - pretty much everything you can hope for in a service professional.  And last but certainly not least - the pricing was extremely fair.  I've got another go-to plumber.

These guys were great!  We just bought a home that we discovered had some plumbing issues. Our waste water line backed up on a Sunday so we had to shut-off our water. We noticed that Stephens Plumbing had a lot of good reviews and have been around for over 30 years so I called them. They called us back within 15 minutes on a Sunday and let us know that they could come out on Sunday or they could call back to schedule an appointment Monday morning. They called Monday morning and scheduled the appointment for that afternoon, and the technician arrived early. Once he got to our home he was very helpful in assessing the problem and took the time to answer a lot of questions regarding our plumbing issues. We also had a leaky facet, which he fixed in 10-15 minutes and was able to resolve another issue with a slow flowing hot water facet. They are coming back to replace a cast iron main line and made some recommendations that could end up saving us money. At the end, the bill was more than fair for the time he took to address all of my concerns. The technician was professional and friendly - overall, my experience from first contact to the technician providing me with the invoice was excellent!

I'm a repeat customer, this time needing a complete HVAC replacement for my parents' home in Irvine. Omar came out and gave a thorough and competitive quote against two other highly rated local shops. We selected Stephens for the job based on excellent past experience, and Omar's informative expert presentation/consultation.
Once again, we were not disappointed! Freddy and Omar, the master technicians and Samuel, did an excellent installation and got everything dialed-in beautifully. My parents are extremely happy with their service and highly recommend them for HVAC services in south county. My parents also got a senior discount which they're very pleased.

These guys installed a water heater for us 2.5 years ago.   Instead of installing the proper water heater, they went ahead and decided to install a commercial water heater into a residential home.  We were told that everything was the same and that there were no downside to using a commercial unit.   What they don't tell you is that the commercial units have a significantly shorter warranty than the residential (Only 1 year parts and 3 years heater vs 3 year parts and 6 years heater).  

So fast forward 2 and half years later, we have a parts issue with the burner and for the average person with a residential unit and warranty it would have been an easy parts replacement covered by the manufacturer.  Instead we are stuck with an $800 part replacement.

Appreciated the fast response to diagnose our AC problem.  Rob provided an estimate and timeline for the job.  Freddy and Sam got the job done early and on budget!  Thanks for the workmanship and keeping a clean job site!  Thank you Rob, Freddy, Sam and everyone at Stephens!

i highly recommend stephans plumbing, heating and a/c repair!! all staff i interacted with were professional, efficient, communicative and so kind. i had a water heater valve leak, that wasn't a 911 and i was still able to get an appointment in less than 24hrs. luis was my technician and not only is he an incredibly cool, kind and awesome human being, he is extremely efficient, knowledgeable and so helpful in sharing how i can do some things to help maintain the water heater i have, as well as information and answers to my questions about a new one in the future, if need be and when i get to that point. he fixed the issue, no problems and we had an excellent conversation in the process. covid safety precautions, 2 thumbs up!! pricing was totally fair and they're 5 stars all the way!!!

Excellent service. Finally found a place I can trust. The serviceman I had, Omar, was great. I found them to be extremely knowledgeable, helpful, efficient, and friendly. I have used them a few times for my heating and air and they have been able to fix the problems quickly.

Where do I start.This review is primarily for customer service, Joanne in particular.
This was our first time working with this company. When making the appointment for them to come look at our air conditioning unit I had to explain over and over again I understand you charge $150 per hour. I had said I just wanted to pay for one hour of them looking at the unit just to diagnose the problem not fix the problem. They had tried to encourage otherwise and say it might take longer. I insisted that I only wanted to pay for an hour of work to diagnose the problem.
Since they work with commercial businesses I had assumed they would know procedures when working with a commercial business. They never asked me what shopping center I was located in to determine insurances. As I have never experienced working with an Air conditioning unit fixer I had no idea. Upon their arrival the man did not have his insurance and had needed to send the insurance to the property management to get it approved. The gentleman I had talked to on the phone was different from the person they sent to fix the issue. The gentleman that came to help was very friendly and nice. He understood that he shouldn't be paid until he actually comes and diagnoses the problem as we had discussed. The man on the phone called and was demanding that I pay him very rudely and anxiously/ desperately. I said I have no problem paying him, I said I will sign something but I will not pay him until he goes onto the roof and does his hour of work.
This was just the first incident.
The next time they send someone else to come out once the insurance finally gets approved after me calling because they hadn't sent it yet. The guy diagnoses the issues and we approve for him to do those fixes a total of $391.68 to replace blown fuses, heavily restricted filters, and worn fan belt AND I stated as long as those things he does will fix our air conditioning unit I approve. Once he comes to fix those items he comes down and says we need to replace the motor and it's going to be 1,700 dollars!! What?! You did not diagnose that the first time you were here. He had stated that he needed the other things working before he could even tell the motor was working. So I understood. He was nice enough to discount the initial repairs from the motor cost. From a few estimates I had received when calling other heating & air conditioning unit companies the feedback I got was the price of the motor & repair was very expensive repair compared to what others had quoted. Let me clarify I had already paid him for the price of the motor and all repairs prior to getting estimates.
This is when after the repairs have been made I called and Joanne had picked up. Joanne has had nothing but a terrible terrible attitude. She is the one that picks up the phone every single time I had called.
I had called to ask for the price of the motor because I want to make sure I was paying a fair price. I had told her that I the gentleman they sent said it was around 1,000 dollars but he couldn't tell me the exact amount. That sounded very shady to me. So I was simply calling to ask for the price of the motor. After telling me 5 times I feel like you are on a witch hunt she finally caved in and said I will email you the price of the motor. She also said how can they give you an estimate over the phone they would have to go out to the property to see, she said they were just trying to get my business. I understand how this may be true, but why was she so unnecessarily rude just when I was simply asking for the price of the motor.
After a week no email had been sent to me with the motor price, I had called again she said I will send it first thing in the morning. A few days go by no email, I call again. She said again I will send it first thing in the morning. Still nothing.
Oh and by the way during our first discussion she had also said I don't want to see any bad reviews on yelp I never even brought up writing a bad review, but thanks to her she planted the seed in my head. She also said I feel like you are trying to get money out of us. I NEVER once asked her for money back. I don't mind paying a fair price, but how can I know if I am paying a fair price if you do not give me the price of the motor?

I will never use this company again.

Poncho checked out our furnace that was making funny noises. Turned out not a major problem, but solved. Recommend Stephens Plumbing anytime.
