Over the holiday weekend, I called several plumbing companies and was met with operators and answering services or I never got a call back. Ben was really responsive and easy to work with! I noticed a small amount of water collecting at base of toilet. I figure the gasket needed to be replaced. They are kind of busy and thought they couldn't get to me for a few days but when he learned of my address, it was close to the job he already had in the books and was nice enough to come to my place after his long day and knock it out...which he did.

I have tenants from hell who harass me, tries to sue me all the time, and tried to spite me by leaving on power 24/7 and water running 4 hrs a day during covid cause I asked them to pay for rent and they refused. If you know me, you know there is a long list of drama with them - ask the police dept, they know them too!

Well.. them leaving the water running for 4 hrs a day was going to eventually caused damage.. and it did. It started causing a serious leak under the bathroom sink that would eventually start RAINING down onto my other tenants closet, ruining all their coats. The leak got worse each day and mold started to form on the ceiling. I called a few plumbing services but with my request, they all rejected me cause my situation was too much drama/trouble (involved having sfpd on site and possibly forced entry to fix leak). One of the companies referred me to Sal and he was honestly an angel. He was very patient, understanding of my situation, and his prices were reasonable.

During Sal's first visit, my tenant basically refused both of us entry even with sfpd on-site (not much help but they tried to persuade them for over an hour). I felt so bad wasting Sal's time, I tried to pay him, but he refused! During Sal's second visit, I had a letter from my attorney to use and they finally let one of us in! Before Sal could enter, they had rules... they were going to record him the entire time and he must take off his shoes, which was so nice of him to do (not sure why they requested this when their house has tiny roaches & hoarded with things...). Sal was finally able to do a consult and see what he could do, but it would involve another visit. During Sal's third visit, it was the same rules. Sal tried to take pictures of damages for me but they told him no and he described to me the situation in the house and finally he was able to repair the leak.

Thanks so much Sal for all your help! You're an angel and I hope you're doing well! I highly recommend Sal as you can see - he's great to work with!

In case anyone is wondering... they finally moved out a couple months after (after more legal things). Woohoo!

I bought an old house a couple years ago with various bits and pieces of plumbing in the process of failing. Some things I can do easily myself. Other things I need someone that really knows what they're doing.

Save now gave me an excellent quote and informed me beforehand that some of my pipes would likely need replacement extremely soon but that they were pretty sure they could work with them for now.

They ended up only needing to also replace the ptrap and connecting pipe in addition to the disposal removal and install work I wanted done. They mentioned the little bit of extra cost beforehand and it was lower than other plumbers.

In the process they also took the time to fix my shoddy job of installing an air gap (the house was sold to me with no air gap).

All really well done and as inexpensively as I could imagine. Great experience, so much so that when I bite the bullet and spend thousands to replace all my sewage plumbing I'll call them first.

I have used Save now a number of times when I had plumbing issues and they are consistently responsive and always professional and pleasant and get the job done in a timely manner. This time was no exception! My garbage disposal unit had failed and I bought a new one with the plan to change it out myself... and when I ran into problems I called Save Now. Ben showed up within a few hours of my phone call and took care of the installation (and the crumbling pipes that were unexpected when I removed the unit). Honest, fast, nice and knowledgeable! Ben was AWESOME! I called Ben on Sunday morning, we set up a time for him to come by on Monday. Once he got here, he assessed our broken water heater and discovered it wasn't the pricey solution that was offered by other specialists (they all claimed we 'probably needed' a new water heater, which is $3k). Instead, he fixed a busted valve, installed a new part on the water heater and now it's working like a charm! ALL FOR ABOUT 1/3 what I was getting quoted from others.

Honest and fair pricing and a really nice guy. AND he covers plumbing and water heaters!

I contacted Ben this morning with an urgent fix for my elderly mother's kitchen sink. With no fuss, he went out to my mother's house and fixed the issue in the afternoon. I wasn't able to be there to supervise, but my mother was extremely grateful (and so am I). I'd call them again if needed.

I'm very thankful that they had the time and were able fix the drain issue in for my mom (an issue that I must've spent no fewer than 2 hours trying to solve, myself).

They were able to give me a same-day appointment that worked with my schedule. Ben was friendly and courteous and fixed the clogged toilet in about 5 minutes. He also advised me I could get something called a toilet augur (sp?) at Home Depot to do it myself next time. He looked at a leaking sink handle and told me how I could get the part replaced from Grohe for free. The price for the house call was reasonable ($150). It's rare that a person is so straightforward, helpful, and professional. Thank you!

Save Now Plumbing helped clear a very slow drain in our tenant's kitchen. Although they were booked for the day when I called they scheduled us first thing the very next morning where they snaked the drain and pressure cleaned the pipe to clear all the built up gook that was causing the slow drain. There was a stain on our wood floors by the toilet. Another plumber came by and touched the base of the toilet and told us the stain was pee-pee.

The stain grew and I called Ben at Save Now Plumbing. Ben came out and moved the toilet and found a leak.

Since the toilet was 20 years old we decided to order a new one. Ben told us we could save money if we just let him patch the base. But we decided to buy a new one as we figured this toilet was on its last legs.

Ben ordered a new toilet and told us he would be by on Tuesday to install it. I got a call Monday afternoon to see if we wanted it installed a day early. Ben came by and was in and out in around an hour.

We called Save Now Plumbing after we had dealt with 2 other companies that failed to fix our issue. We got connected with Salvatore who came by the same day, looked at our problem, and came up with a plan to fix it, and gave us a quote (all free of charge). He came back the next day with the special machine that was needed to clean out our sewage pipe and did an amazing job getting the problem fixed. He was so thorough, polite, and incredibly knowledgeable about not only plumbing but all of the weird things that come with homes in San Francisco. He really knows his stuff!

Ben and Sal are awesome! They are the only plumbers we call now. We've had them come out several times for various issues: clogged toilets, clogged drain lines, broken pipe, and a dishwasher issue. They are professional, honest, don't overcharge, they show up on time, and are very knowledgeable.

Most recently I called about our dishwasher not draining. When we called, they advised that we call an appliance person, but I thought it might be a drain line issue since our dishwasher is pretty new (spoiler alert: they were right, but keep reading). They were willing to come by, since they were in the area, and look at our dishwasher. They looked to see if the drain line needed clearing, tested the line, which ended up being clear, and advised we call the appliance person since the line was okay but the dishwasher was still full of water. And, they didn't charge us, even though they took time to thoroughly check out the problem. Highly recommend!

Salvador responded quickly to my call and solved all problems. I have a grated drain in front of the garage door. The clog was so solid it broke one rooter and took another rooter and auger to push through. When I thought we were coming to an unsuccessful end, Salvador gave it extra time and consideration and solved the problem. Second time I use these guys and once again they exceeded my expectations.It's hard to find reliable people in this industry but Save Now Plumbing & Rooter isn't like those crooks I met in the past. One of things that surprised me the most about them is that their plumbers have both offered me different alternatives to fix the problems I had at home, and both of them pointed out that the most expensive option wasn't the best one -- it was just the most expensive. They were punctual, respectful and they cleaned after themselves, no doubt Ill call them again in the future.

Our hot water heater failed this morning and was leaking all over the basement floor. We saw that this company was open 24 hours so we gave them a call and they picked up promptly.

Ben came out within the hour and he was able to shut off the water to the heater. He came back within four hours and was able to replace the water heater very quickly.

Our kitchen sink got clogged up and my attempts to clear it with a snake were unsuccessful. I called Save Now at about 3:15 in the afternoon and Ben gave me both an estimate and a time he could come over and fix it (5:30-6:30 the same day!). Some places won't give you an estimate (even with such a well-defined issue) and want you to make an appointment for someone to come over for an assessment.

About 5 minutes after our conversation Ben called back to say that his schedule had opened up and he could come by in about 20 minutes! He did that, cleared out the obstruction with his industrial strength snake, added new washers, and charged what he had estimated. A very pleasant encounter and transaction. I highly recommend Save Now Plumbing & Rooter.

Yesterday came home from work and saw a huge bubble in our ceiling. One of the pipes were leaking and we needed help right away. My husband found Sal and his crew and boy were we happy we did. We called really early in the morning around 7 am and sal answered the phone!! That was a huge plus, he was able to fit us in same day! He showed up early and assessed the situation. He was literally in and out in 30 min. The only reason it took 30min was because he was providing information as he was working. We felt completely at ease with his work. We had a bad stoppage in our downstairs toilet - tried everything and it just got worse, and water was coming up in the tub as well. I called Save Now P& R at 8PM on Memorial Day Sunday. Salvador answered and was very sympathetic and was able to fit us in today ( Memorial Day). Ben arrived on time and was fantastic! He immediately knew what the problem was - quoted me the very reasonable price - which I approved. He took up the toilet, snaked and used the camera. My Uncle's home had a blockage in his sewer lateral. His handyman could not fix it and suggested that he dig up his driveway to get to the pipe. I contacted Save Now Plumbing and Ben showed up on time and started working on the problem. After snaking the line from the clean out and the street vent with little success, he switched to the hydro jetter and that ultimately cleared the line. Ben did a video of the pipe and it was all clear. Great job!

Save Now saved the day!

A week ago, my water heater died. It had been flaky all week and finally the pilot wouldn't stay lit at all. A few plumbers told me they didn't service American Standard heaters because parts were hard to get and low quality. One guy talked me through relighting the pilot myself, though, so that was a great educational experience.

So, for a few days, I made do with gym showers. I called the manufacturer about the parts warranty and they sent me the most likely replacement part (the pilot / thermocouple assembly) - I guess I sounded like I knew what I was doing.

Then I just had to find a plumber. Everyone was too busy, until I called Save Now. Originally the friendly guy (Ben) said he wasn't free until two days from now, but when I said that I had the replacement parts already, he made time to do it this very evening. And conveniently after work, so my partner could be home to let him in! He showed up on time, installed the new parts in about half an hour, and charged less than other places.

Now I can take a shower at home for the first time in a week! And I know a lot more about gas heaters (thanks to the helpful phone advice of many Yelp-sourced plumbers - and gold stars to everyone for not being condescending to a girl). I could have installed the new part myself but I figure with gas I'll leave it to the pros - those compression fittings are a little touchy. So I'm glad Save Now made it such a painless experience. And I'm really glad they're willing to repair heaters instead of just replacing it as soon as a cheap part dies.

Hot water doesn't seem so essential now that I've gone for a week without. Like Burning Man, but much much cleaner. But I'm so happy to be back to civilization.

After a terrible night trying to clear a very poopy toilet (and shocked that i couldn't find any of the 24-hour plumbers available for an emergency visit; Ace offered to send someone between 8 and 10am, then called me at 8 to say they could be here at noon). I needed to get to work and called a few plumbers around 8am. Save Now had someone available at 9am and Sal arrived promptly. He explained what he was doing, cleared the line and then explained why the problem happened. He offered immediate suggestions for preventing recurrence (hold the handle down for 3 seconds), and a longer term solution that would be more expensive (replacing parts) on our Toto toilet. He was done in less than 30 minutes. Great service and a fair price.

I had a mortifyingly bad toilet that refused to flush anything other than water at my new place, so after the last straw I decided to find help. SaveNow was quick and super easy to work with. Ben and his team are fantastic. I had a gross pipe leak problem under my concrete in the bathroom which was going to require jackhammering and possibly open a can of worms. I was so nervous about it. When Ben got in to see what was going on --he explained that it was originally not installed correctly and he might need to go deeper and jackhammer more. I agreed to do it right but then he called me back and said--we figured it out and fixed it without having to dig deeper. He stuck to his original price and I appreciated this but also his honesty. I really trust him--this is so RARE. He wasn't out to get more money even though I agreed if he needed to. This is one reason why I will hire him again in a minute if something else should go wrong with my plumbing--I trust him and his team. I also want to add that I chose him because he poured the concrete back for me and recommended someone good to redo the tiling --this is something that many other companies would not do. One company told me that I would have to get a hotel for my tenants for a few days but Ben said that he would put the toilet back if it took more than 1 day. (My tenants were very grateful for this because they don't want to leave the house because of COVID). It ended up taking just 1 day to fix it.
The bathroom leak is fixed and it looks as good as new. It was all fixed in less than a week. He gave me a good price, was fast, professional, friendly, responsive and clean. In my 25 years of being a landlady--I have never experienced a better plumber. Thank you Ben and team.

I called at 8am on a Saturday, they answered the phone, said they'd have someone out 10-11 and then Sol called asking if he could come early and was here at 9.15.

He looked at our issue and said I needed a few days applying some WD40 and a new pin I can get at any hardware store.

Then he diagnosed our garbage disposal backing up as likely needing a new/different part which we can also get at the hardware store.

So I said thanks I'll go to the store now, how much do I owe you.

I was shocked when he said no charge, we do free estimates.

I'm so coming back to these guys.

We got a letter from the SF Water Dept that alerted us to a poor water main pipe that was rusting. I saw the great reviews on Yelp about Save Now Plumbing. I called and spoke to Ben. He came by the same day to give us an estimate to replace the water main and sewer pipe. It was fair and competitive. He was very responsive every time I called and left a message. We agreed on a date that also worked for the cement contractor. Ben took care of everything, the permits, markings, and showing up as planned with Sal and Jose to do all the digging and replacing of pipes. They successfully completed the work in one day and it passed inspection the next morning at 630am. They put the sand back in place and it was all ready for the cement work.
These guys are professional and do excellent work. We highly recommend them for all your plumbing needs.

Ideally you want your toilet installation to go as your bowels should move: quickly, smoothly and as cleanly as possible. Like poop through a goose, working with Save Now Plumbing was effortless.

On my quest to further my adulting, I recently replaced my old toilet. I used Yelp's ridiculously useful Request a quote feature to ask for prices from a number of the Bay Area's top plumbers. Save Now Plumbing was not only the cheapest (others quoted a price as much as $150 more, many charging $50 just to remove the old toilet, something Save Now already includes in their low price) but also one of the highest rated. Ben, the owner, also gave me a discount for providing some of my own supplies.

Yes, I had toilet supplies.

I was given the timeframe 9-10 am. Having dealt with cable companies in the past, I assumed this meant the plumber would arrive sometime between 9-10 am, but realistically it would be closer to 1 pm or, at worst, before it got dark out. Not only did the plumber arrive at 9, he was done before 10. The price was what we agreed, stated clearly upon arrival, and they got to work right away. A day later, everything looks and runs smoothly.

We had a clogged pipe Sunday morning that affected not just my unit but my neighbor's as well which prevented us from using any water facility. I called Save Now Plumbing and within a few hours, Sal helped us to assess and fix the damage right away.

Sal arrived at my house on time, as promised, he left everything in order and back to the way things were and explained how could we prevent the damage to occur again. Sal is very professional and knows what he's doing.

A few years ago, while I was out of town my wife had a very similar emergency and the other company that was my landlord set us up with, took more than double the time to figure out what was wrong and at the end, I don't think they did a good job as the pipe clogged again.

We had a sewer backup on Tuesday morning. I called them around 10am and asked if they could come out that day. He said yes and quoted me a fair price for getting the line jetted. He came out right on time and was thorough with the work. Yesterday, we had an emergency plumbing issue at our home, and it was surprising how many plumbers in San Francisco list themselves as 24/7 availability or as emergency services, only to not answer their phone or to tell me that their first appointment was early next week. Ben at Save Now Plumbing in Rooter was the first plumber to take my call and conduct the conversation in a way that seemed to understand the nature of a customer who is experiencing an actual emergency. He listened to my situation, and even though he was already booked heavily that day, he made a point of offering to come by after work around 5:30 pm to help and add to his day. When he arrived, he was pleasant, professional, clear and helpful throughout. He diagnosed the problem, offered two solutions at two different prices (both entirely fair prices in my view), and stayed on for a full hour to complete the work and even used an underground camera at the end to show me that his work was completed and successful, so I could move on with fewer worries. Ben did an excellent job, and we'd definitely call him again. A total treat to have an urgent problem solved by a friendly, capable professional who takes his work seriously and with integrity. I'm glad we have this platform to tell each other about the services provided by companies. Salvador/Save Now is just amazing! I called this morning needing my hot water heater replaced at our SF house. Not only did he replace it (the same day) but made sure the shut off valves and pipes were replaced and all updated. All for a reasonable price! He gave me a price lower than a previous quote I had gotten, then told me about replacing the other stuff. So in my mind, he went above and beyond. I'm so happy to have found Ben from Save Now Plumbing! I called on a Friday evening with a leaky toilet issue and Ben came over within the hour and took care of it for me. Super nice guy, I swear it was like having a friend over to help- he answered his phone on the first try, patiently listened to me while I tried to describe the problem, gave me my options and his advice on what would probably be the best course of action, came right over, and also gave me some great advice on how to take care of the mold on my baseboards from the leak myself and save myself $250 on getting them replaced! We had a leak from our bathroom upstairs and the water was going downstairs through the wall. So I called and Ben said he was going to come by between 5-630pm to check it out. He kept his promise and made it by the time told to us.

He was very thorough and letting us know what he had to do and how much. He also gave us options and not just telling us to get everything done now. He was quick but the best part that we like is that he cleaned up our floors after they were done.

Ben and his team are awesome and he is also a Warriors fans. If we have any problems again, he is already in my phone contact list to call first.

The service Save Now provided when the replaced our toilets was truly unexpectedly, exceptionally excellent.

We wanted our two old water-wasting toilets replaced and a new, non-leaking bathroom faucet installed. I called Save Now late one afternoon just to find out how to get this process started. I had a model toilet in mind from a recent B&B stay, but didn't really know if I should order it online or from the plumber or what.

Save Now said that they'd have someone by the next afternoon... unless I needed someone that night. Tomorrow was fine, so I scheduled an appointment late in the day. I received a call about 10 am saying that they could come by then if I wanted, and Ben met me at the house.

He looked over the toilets we had and said that it was fine to order the model I liked online. He said he'd come back when they were delivered. Then he fixed the immediate leak in our bathroom faucet, and said that service was no charge since we were going to have him install the faucet we were ordering online. He even gave me the specification of the faucet size to order.

When the toilets and faucet arrived from Amazon (another good experience, btw) I called Save Now. They scheduled the installation at the time I wanted in two days. On installation day two different men from Save Now showed up... 5 minutes early, which was excellent. They were ready!

A problem! One of the toilet locations I'd shown Ben didn't have enough clearance from the pipe connection to the back of the bathroom to fit the toilet bowl I'd ordered. I thought I'd have to ship back the toilet and wait another couple weeks for one that fit.

No. The second team took the toilet I'd ordered and exchanged it for a locally-sourced, comparably priced, new low-flow toilet that fit. One man did the exchange while the other installed the other toilet and faucet.

No extra charge. No extra time. They were in and out in two hours. Superb quality work.

My only two concerns:

1. Other craftsmen/contractors will probably drive Save Now out of the area. What kind of repair person shows up on time, does what they say, and handles something expected without causing delay or asking for more money??

2. And, this is a more real concern... their business name Save Now makes them sound like cheap, discount, and only focused on price. I almost didn't call them because I didn't want to deal with a slick person selling me on their low cost, never mind the quality.

Save Now is Diamond Certified for high ratings, so I called them despite of their name. But, I had hesitated.

Of course, in the end, I saved a lot of money, time, and aggravation.

This is the best plumbing contractor I have ever used! My water heater failed one
morning this week.. I called Save Now Plumbing based on the Yelp reviews and Ben answered the phone. He was out within an hour and a half of me calling.
We also had one toilet that needed replacement and he said he would have time to do both. We agreed on what was needed and by 2:00 I had a new water heater and a new toilet installed! He and his helper left my garage cleaner than they found it and the toilet installation was also spotless.

I came home one night and noticed the kitchen sink clogged and filled with water. I live with a couple of roommates and one of them clogged the sink and wouldn't own up to it. I had no idea what was causing the clog. My friend recommend this plumbing company so I called and made an appointment. Sal came by to try to fix this minor problem. He was very prompt, courteous, friendly, professional, and informative. Sal figured out what was causing the clog in minutes. Grease was causing the sink to clog (funny because my roommates were cooking steaks that night and probably poured all the oil and fat down the sink that solidified causing the clog). All the reviews for Save Now Plumbing & Rooter are spot on! I came home late Friday night and found my kitchen sink backed up with some nasty looking and awful smelling water. I'm an avid DIY so I got to it first thing the next morning. The pipes are 56 yrs. old so the snaking and poking of the clog dislodged inside rust and sure enough leaks were all over the place. An 8 1/2 foot pipe section screwed on cast iron had to be replaced. This one was out of my league because I do not have the power tools to work the job.

Yelp to the rescue ! ! ! I called the first two highest rated outfits but both had very bland responses and the sound of uncertainty were evident. I scrolled down some more and voila, Save Now P&R shined like Christmas Tree lights. I picked up the phone and dialed. Ben answered with a very positive tone and in first person verse, aka he's the man that will do the job. Ben showed up 20 minutes earlier than the agreed time and assessed the situation immediately. He gave me all possible options but agreed to my slightly tweaked version then off he went. The job took 4 hours and Ben never gave up until he got everything right to his and my satisfaction. He is a perfectionist and will not settle for anything less. That's what I call top notch ! ! !

We love these guys. Any time in the future we have a plumbing issue, or even a water heater issue, we're going to call them.

We had a lot of silt backwash after every rain and every drain would run slow. At first we thought maybe it was because the sewer was getting overwhelmed during the torrential rain. But then it was finally getting to the point where things were backing up with no rain.

We called Sunday afternoon. They were out here Monday. Snaking didn't help. Hmmmm...they called in the camera, and the camera came an hour or so later. The camera revealed...pipe broken in several places.

UGH.

They scheduled the fix for next day. They were early, dug up everything, replaced the pipe, got it inspected, and put the dirt back in one day. There was no hanging around waiting for a permit, waiting for an inspector (they got him/her out same day), an open ditch for days or wandering off after something shiny. These guys work hard and fast. Plus a 15 year warranty.

Thanks so much, guys. While it kind of sucks that the salary bonus money we just got went to sewer pipe replacement, if we had to pay it it went to people who deserved it!!!

I made the mistake of going down the Yelp list and calling Sal after 5 other plumbers when Sal should've been the first to call. He came to my rescue after such a shitty day! Literally.

My toilet was clogged and everything was backed up in the pipes which caused everything from the drain in my tub to overflow as well. It was a nightmare!!! I had some friends come over to try to help. (Men who thought they could handle it but my clog was more extreme than just anyone to take on.) They tried to unclog it for over 4 hours before I realized I needed to call a professional to come fix it.

So thankful Sal heard the desperation in my voice and came to my rescue at 8pm on a Saturday night when he was already at home and off the clock. He gave me a couple of quoted rates over the phone to make sure I knew he wouldn't try to overcharge me. Sure enough, my toilet clog was more difficult than a normal one so he had to take out my whole toilet just to get my stupid wipes out of the drain.

Moral: ladies, don't throw anything that says flushable into the toilet no matter what the packaging says. It was such a nightmare to see when urine, feces and sewer soil is coming out from your tub drain and filling into your tub and overflowing onto your favorite bath rugs.

Thank you Sal for being such an understanding and great professional. My dad and I really appreciate all of your help! I extremely recommend Sal for all your plumbing needs.

It has been a wonderful experience with Save now plumbing.

On the past weekend I have been through big headache experienced. Our water heater broke so four people in our household didn't have any hot water and you could imagine the headache .But even worse is when i tried to call at ease 10 plumbing companies. And all of them even gave me a call back (seems like they are all busy).

Thank God for Save now plumbing, they are the only one who called me back

I told them the issue and within an hour they showed up in my front door.

Sadly after they went through their procedure. It turned out that we need to buy a New water heater. Sal offered to get the new one and install it for us on the next day.

They came back on the next day, this time it's Ben Who's doing installation.

And sure enough they got our brand-new water heater up and running in no time.

Just had a wonderful experience with these gentlemen. I called and they picked up immediately (I called 3 other 5-star plumbers before calling them who still haven't called me back! ). Call them first and you will save a lot of frustration.

They made an appointment for only a few hours later. They were polite, efficient, friendly with my dog, and took care of my emergency issue (broken drain pipe under the sink) as well as several smaller issues in the bathroom (leaky pipe that just needed to be tightened, another pipe that needed to be replaced, etc).

I especially appreciated that they told me that one pipe just needed to be tightened, when I thought it needed to be replaced. After they left, I was so happy with their work that I changed my mind about something that I had planned to DIY- called them and they were still in the neighborhood- they were very nice about being called back and fixed it for FREE! They are the best!

Ben and his crew are totally awesome! I called several other plumbers before Ben, seeking quotes on having a toilet installed - and his quote was the most reasonable. The others not only quoted nearly double, they recommended plumbing shops to get my new toilet that had prices much higher then even Home Depot.

He was very accommodating in terms of scheduling, and was super helpful letting me know of anything I might need to help with the installation (ie., additional materials). When the day came to install, he surprisingly had his schedule change, for which he fit me in earlier then my normal appointment, which was perfect for me!

He showed up on time for our free estimate, checked out our piping issue that was connected to our garbage disposal, and recommended that we finish the job (since we installed the new disposal ourselves). Got an appointment for next day, and while they confused the time for one hour later when calling, they were able to came earlier (some changes in load from previous jobs) and fix my toilet. They installed a flange on top on the one that I had (broken and difficult to remove) and put silicone all around the base, so that hopefully make the smell coming from the sewer to stop entering the house, and have a toilet that is not dancing anymore. May update in the future about durability.
The team were courteous, clean the surfaces and made a quick (hopefully durable) fix.

Sal from Save Now Plumbing is one of the best plumbers I have gotten to know. I texted him and he arrived promptly to my house in the Haight Ashbury District. It's an old Victorian house and I did not have tons of money to spend and Sal immediately got right to the point. He was on time, professional and had all the right tools for the job. Most of all, I really was happy that Sal was honest and did quality work! That was a rarity in the plumbing field and something that will make me go back to him in the future.

I had an issue with one of my toilets not being able to flush properly for a while. I really appreciate the fact that Sal took the time to explain what the options are and was conscientious about doing a quality job and a cost effective job.

Our kitchen double-sink would not drain, despite our trying plunging (which loosened a lot of gross black gunk from the pipes) and the baking soda/vinegar trick. Ben came the next day, on time and was very courteous, friendly, and quick. He didn't mind explaining as I watched him diagnose and fix our problem. The cost was very reasonable ($135 for unclogging and snaking drain; on a Sunday) and he charged me only the cost of parts for the p-trap he replaced after noticing there was a tiny leak that we weren't even aware of. Just as they advertise on their website and as many other yelp reviewers say, Save Now was professional, friendly and reasonable. I would definitely call them again should we have another plumbing issue.

Highly recommended. Fri evening, I was going to have some guests over the following morning and I realized that the flush tank is not filling up. Some basic internet search revealed that the 'toilet fill valve' needed replacement.

I called a couple of plumbers who agreed to come, but weren't giving me a quote beyond the (roughly $100) emergency visit. They wanted to see what's wrong before giving me a quote, and if I decide not to do the work, I sill owed them the visit fees.

Ben told me exactly how much it will cost and came over immediately. He replaced everything quickly and also fixed some small stuff in the wash basin. He didn't have to replace one of the pipes and so he charged me less than what he had initially quoted. Very happy with the service and the professional attitude. I have his card and I'll definitely call him for any future plumbing needs.

We had a blockage in our sewer line under our home causing water to back up in our garage. I call Save Now and Sal was at our home within an hour. Plus it was 6:00pm when I called them. He worked at the blockage for nearly two hours from two different access drains but could not clear the blockage. He explained that he would have to come back and remove the downstairs toilet and run a snake from there. He charged me a nominal amount for the two hours of work and came back a few days later right at the appointed time. They removed the toilet, cleared the sewer, pressure flushed the line, and inspected the entire drain out to the street. He gave me recommendations on how to keep things running and clean. Ben (co-owner) gave me a very reasonable estimate for a backed up sink that flooded my family room's carpet on a Saturday. I usually vet my service providers via Yelp, BBB (A+, 17 years in the biz), and obviously in person (amiable, good listener, knowledgeable, provides options, and honest). It was a relatively difficult plumbing snake job to clear the grease/sludge obstruction (some consolation to me, since I tried for almost 1/2 hour with my funky power drill snake), but Ben persevered. He also did a great job with a subsequent recommended Hydrojet cleaning of my main sewage line. Saturday, 5pm, and a blocked drain -- plunging the toilet resulted in backflow in the shower. Ugly. Smelly. And all our neighbors were out or away, and so we didn't have a recommendation for a plumber at all.

Ben was here within 45 minutes and I swear he had it fixed in 15.
Never had a plumber that quick. Or that pleasant.

I rarely do reviews, but special deeds need to be rewarded. Sal, the owner, came by on short notice to replace the faucet for my kitchen sink. I attempted to do it myself, but got stuck mid way. Instead of charging me to do the work (or even just for coming by my place), Sal provided his advice on how to get it done by myself. I have lived in SF for quite some time and as a home owner have seen my fair share of contractors and home services. This truly stands out! Sal is honest, knowledgable, and conscientious (he even offered to take off his shoes before stepping in). This plumbing service will get all of my business from now on. Highly recommended!

As a business owner, having a working sewer is a must for any facility. I myself is handy enough to unclog most clogged pipes at home and small stores, however, the building's main pipe was clogged and all the stores (four) sharing that main pipe has sewer blockage. I first tried with my 18' snake, but I didn't catch anything, so I thought a professional grade snake will be required, or get plumber service. I called several plumbers, these guys were the only ones picked up their phone, and they showed up in half an hour. When they got here, I explained to them what I have tried already and didn't work. They then explained the problem and possible solutions, instead of just going for the most expensive option. Very professional!

Awesome company! Ben immediately answered my call; and offered same day service this afternoon. He arrived promptly (said he'd be here between 3-4pm and arrived at 3:10pm) which is great. Sal & Ben have saved me and my 100 year old house several times. Most recently, the hand held on my kitchen faucet broke off (In the middle of a huge dinner party!) Ben came over right away the next day and fixed it. He also unblocked my garbage disposal that hadn't worked in a few weeks. They saved me a lot of money by repairing instead of replacing expensive fixtures / appliances. Super reliable and efficient. Love these guys!

Sal from Save Now Plumbing is amazing and such a nice person. We had a clogged toilet on a Saturday afternoon - which did not make for a good situation considering our other bathroom is currently down to the studs and in the midst of construction, and I'm five and half months pregnant. I called Save Now Plumbing and someone immediately picked at 5:30pm on a Saturday. Within 30 minutes Sal was at my door. Gracious and friendly, he got right down to work. He explained what he was doing, identified the issue and fixed our toilet in no time. Lesson learned: do not put dental floss down the toilet. We (and our neighbors below who had to deal with water leaking into their bathroom below - ugh!) are so grateful for the quick response and quality work. I will definitely be calling Sal and Save Now Plumbing for any and all future plumbing needs. Highly recommend using these guys!!

I left a message at four companies that had good reviews on Yelp. Ben was the first to call back, he came on time and was a very nice person to deal with.
I had the toilet and washing machine backup in my basement and Ben came and did an excellent job. He had to unclog both pipes; the main to the side walk and the pipe from the toilet to the main pipe. He had to remove the toilet to get to the pipe and he cleaned up perfectly and even recaulked the toilet. He was very thorough and spent a while making sure everything was okay.and even put a camera down so I could see the pipes and make sure nothing was broken. He was very reasonable for all the work he did and was much cheaper than the rooter company that come out 3 months before to clean just the main pipe, and only gave me 30 days warranty, whereas Ben gave me a 90 day warranty which is great. I will definitely use this company again and refer them as well.

Sal did a great job! I'm always leary when getting a price range in an informal quote... But I was charge at the lowest end of the range. Whew! Sal took off his shoes, was very pleasant, and tried several ways to solve the problem - eventually victorious. Oh - and be sure to ask him if he's been fishing lately - wach his eyes light up! Awesome.

They were on time, respectful (took off shoes), quiet (sleeping baby), friendly, great work, and trusting. save no plumbing was so amazing that i ended my 3-year review hiatus to yelp them.

last month, we had a bathroom leak that resulted in our bathroom raining on my downstairs neighbor's head. everything (shower, sink, toilet) resulted in a downpour. not great. called a few folks who either didn't work on condos or couldn't explain how they'd tackle the problem without breaking into the floor or ceiling. save now came out the next day, performed a thorough root-cause analysis (i have no idea what they call it, but that's essentially what they did and it was impressive), determined a blockage (wipes) caused the leaking, and fixed the problem without making any holes in the floor or ceiling. cost = $295. they also replaced the water hose for the toilet at no extra cost.

a couple of weeks ago, my co-worker had a similar problem. told him to call save now. they came to the rescue again. they are as good as it gets.

Sal came out to our house and was very rude, abrupt and not friendly right off the bat. He looked like he was irritated that he had to come on a Sunday, even though i was originally told by Ben on the phone that they work on weekends all the time and would be happy to repair our issue if they could get the parts. He was not going to do anything anyway... no matter what... even if he had the parts. We have Orchard supplies and Home Depot in a walking distance from us. Sal just glanced at the pipe, did not even take a close look) and said: $575 and i am not going to do anything now. reschedule. and left us speechless. My husband and i could not even ask anything he ran out so fast!
What a jerk!!! Guess what? we found somebody REALLY GREAT! The person repaired everything immediately, went to Orchard supplies, got the part and was done in a few hours.
Not to mention he only charged $400 for everything (including the part he had to purchase).
Jude for yourself. Someone mentioned in the reviews - responsive, honest, thorough... I DON'T THINK SO!!!!

Plumbers are like mechanics..you are at their mercy. It is so wonderful to find service people you can trust. Our toilet with a lot of our plunging was not moving its contents. It was the day before we happened to be leaving for an out of town wedding. Needless to say, my day was filled and this was the last thing I needed to wake up to, nor wanted to come home to!! I called and was, I could tell, squeezed into the schedule. When they arrived they were so professional and said it might be...., or if it was....., it would require removing the toilet to investigate, oh no! Happily, they rectified the problem in minutes (they could have said it was the latter more expensive, time consuming problem...what would I have known?). A very reliable and honest business. Can not recommend them more highly!!

Sal is great. He came out within a few hours of my initial call to look at a leaky kitchen sink. Had to call him back after the first attempt didn't solve the issue completely and he returned within an hour to remediate the residual problem. He also proactively inspected all the plumbing in the house (I just bought a house and moved in two weeks ago) to make sure there are no other obvious issues and gave me some pointers on maintenance. Besides all this, Sal is just a really cool guy.

Save Now is awesome! I'm a relatively new home-owner plumbing scares me. Naturally, when a couple of problems appeared (leaky sink and an unruly toilet that kept clogging and clogging) the first thing I did was procrastinate. When I couldn't do that anymore, I called Save Now. Sal showed up right a way. For the sink, he showed me where the installers screwed up and what he was going to do to fix it. He talked me through what he did and tested and re-tested the results. He was efficient and careful. For the toilet, rather than charge me for the service, he told me what tool to buy, gave me detailed instructions on how to use it, and saved me money at his own expense. It's kind of funny to me that I'm raving about a plumbing service - you typically don't think of plumbing as anything to write home about, but getting truly exceptional service is a great feeling. Having a plumber I can totally trust takes care of an item on the things-that-scare-me list. And that's priceless.

Sal is amazing! If you need a plumber, you should 100% choose his company. I called with 2 problems thinking I would definitely need a video of our pipes and a costly repair. He spent 45 minutes examining the plumbing and pointing out the potential upgrades we could do but ended with some simple cleaning advice that fixed the problem. All for free! Super honest guy and super nice as well. If we have any plumbing needs in the future, I will definitely call Sal!

My toilet picked a Sunday to stop working and it was fixed within two hours of my phone call that morning. Originally they said they could come in the afternoon but would call if they could come sooner, which they did. The plumber was tidy, careful not to let his equipment drip as he walked through the apartment. The work wasn't guaranteed (apparently clogs tend to recur frequently) but it's been a couple of months and I haven't had another problem.

Highly recommend. They were prompt, skilled and honest. I had a tricky situation (argh IKEA) that Sal provided a decent estimate for and no promise it could be solved. NOT ON A SATURDAY AFTER THANKSGIVING!!!! Sal came to my rescue when my husband's favorite toilet got clogged. I called another plumbing service earlier, but was shocked when they gave me the low down of how much they'll really charge; $125 for them to come (b/c it's after hours, it's the only time they have available for them to fix our toilet) and that doesn't include the cost of the actual unclogging of the toilet ($180-$200, b/c the lady who I spoke to doesn't know the prices). Well, needless to say...I cancelled that and SAL SAVED THE DAY....he's, straightforward, responsive, reasonable and clean!!!! He also arrived at the time promised! I am one happy customer.

Wow, Sal is the man! Tonight (Friday night) we called him out to fix our leaking kitchen faucet. He discovered the problem was easily fixable, and he did it, no charge!!! On a Friday night! If there were ten stars, I'd give them to Ben at Save Now Plumbing. I'm a Realtor and deal with tradespeople all the time. Realtors don't have time for substandard service. It takes a lot to impress me, and I'm impressed. I hate Yelp and rarely do reviews. But I can't say enough good things here. Ben gets what service is about. He owns the business and it shows. I called Save Now on a SUNDAY AFTERNOON AFTER CHRISTMAS. It was my fifth call. BEN PICKED UP THE PHONE. (That's five stars right there!) Anyway, the toilet was stopped up in our rental unit downstairs. After a brief discussion, he asked, I could be there in an hour, would that be ok? I think I was speechless for a moment. He was good as his word, and not only took care of the problem quickly, he fixed the water pressure in our kitchen sink while he was at it and did not charge us. I had had the flu over Christmas and was just DONE with everything, so this meant a lot to me. Ben was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, practical, clean, professional, generous and positive. Wanted to change the sink/cabinet in my kids bathroom, called Save Now. Ben came out at 8PM, which was wonderful because I get off work late. Ben quickly took my old cabinet/sink out and replaced it with one I had bought, a floating one, and change some of the pipes that were older. Our kitchen sink had a knob break and water wasting away. Called SF water authority to turn water off. Called sal at 11:10, he was here by 11:30 and our sink fixed by 11:45! He even beat SF water authority here and found where to turn the water off! Reasonable pricing as well for such a quick turnaround. Monday I had a sewer backup. I yelped to find a plumber, I went with these guys because it is their business & THEY do the work. I immediately felt comfortable explaining my problem. Ben advised Sol would be available in the afternoon. I was called with an approx time, then called again 30mins before arriving. I really appreciated that thoughtfulness. Unfortunately the problem was more significant than just a blocked drain. A broken sewer pipe with roots clogging it up. These guys were FANTASTIC. They gave me my choices, & prices for each option. (Which were very reasonable). Came back next day & did a great job. Awesome cleanup of concrete debris. Any plumbing need I have they will be the first I call.

We had a serious leak in our bathroom sink and under it as well. Our property manager called Save Now and Ben and companion came that day. Den diagnosed the problem under the sink and replaced the angle valves and the supply lines quickly. With that problem solved they addressed the leaking faucets. We have lived in this flat for 17 years and have had constant leaking problems with the faucet - washers replaced about every 2 years and with handles very hard to turn. The sink and faucets are 73 years old with horizontal faucet stems which are difficult to find these days. They called the property manager and he said that he would have a new sink installed. Ben said that he could stop the leak but he did not want to charge for that if a new sink was coming. I was impressed by his professionalism and honesty. He arrived when he said he would and the charge was reasonable. Highly recommended.

Another 5 star review! Saturday, stepped out into the yard and found overflow from the sewer vent pipe. Called Save Now Plumbing (in the neighborhood) and Sal said he had a 3 PM opening-same day! I said, Come on out. He arrived an hour early(!), snaked out the line and said the problem is tree roots on city land behind the house. I had a clogged toilet where an object had fall into and got stuck. I shopped around a lot, and Save Now Plumbing had the best prices all over the city and by far and large!!! Sal gave me a quote for both the best and worst case scenario and both were *extremely* reasonable and way way cheaper than anyone else. Most others were even surcharging because it was a Saturday. So I was extremely happy to have found such a reasonably priced plumber and went back to killing some time on the internet. Except I realized I had been using my snake wrong and gave it another try and unclogged my toilet. I was just about to take my gloves off and my doorbell rang. It was Sal from Save Now Plumbing who was a little bit early (I had told him it was OK if he came early). I said I was sorry but I had already fixed the toilet and offered to give him something for the call. He was extremely cool about it but refused to get anything for the call. I also asked him if given all circumstances he thought my toilet was fine now (i had pushed the clog down with the snake) and he reassured me that the piping below is twice as large as the piping through the toilet so I was good. I kind of feel Sal is a rare find and I am sort of disappointed that I didn't get to use his help today because I would have been much much better off than using any of the other plumbers I contacted!!!
