Rooter Hero Plumbing

I was impressed and 100% satisfied. Our kitchen sink clogged unexpectedly so we called Rooter Hero who quickly dispatched an angel to us - Kevin AKA the Master AKA the man who saved Christmas. I should mention that at this time we were hosting two dozen guests at our house for Xmas dinner. Kevin immediately diagnosed the problem and took several measures to expertly solve it. Kevin was knowledgable, skilled, and considerate.

Don't call these guys after 4:30pm or their rate goes up to $421 for a main drain cleaning, and they don't tell you that until the plumber shows up with the quote. Then they collect $99 even if you won't pay that price just because the guys had to show up at 8:30 pm. Can't rate their work because that is an abnormal rate to pay at any time.

With all the great ratings I have read for this business, I wonder what would make my call for service an opportunity to make up-sales rather than attempt to fix the issue originally called for.

I called the customer service line because tenants of a property of mine had standing water in their toilet, bathtub, and stand-up shower. I immediately recognized it as a possible mainline blockage, I do not have the equipment (yet) to handle these types of situations so I decided to make some inquiries and found Rooter Hero, based on the reviews I decided to give them a shot.  I called CS and they were prompt and informative. They informed me that the technician would diagnose the issue and provide me with a list of costs before work would begin, they also informed me that I would receive a call when the technician was in route.

When the technician arrives, he is cordial and polite he begins to diagnose the blockage goes to the clean -out and begins to run the drain auger or snake (mind you, I didn't receive a phone call when the tech was in route or was not presented with a list of costs before work would begin) so the tech runs the cleaning auger for about 35-40 minutes and states that he cannot get pass a point in the line. He states he has called his manager to run a camera that normally is offered at a cost of $500 but they are willing to waive the cost (at this point I ask myself why would they waive this cost? do they foresee a greater cost?) the technician's supervisor arrives (also cordial and polite) and proceeds to let me know what they will do next, they run the camera and they locate the ping of their camera about 50 feet away towards the street and simply tell me that the camera stopped there and cannot go further and that the drain line is broken and they need to dig and it will be $4300. They also waive the cost of the drain auger...

Now, my dilemma is how can they possibly know that the line is broken by simply encountering a stop? I was not shown any images of the camera in the drain line. I was stunned, and I understand that this type of work may be somewhat tedious mainly due to the excavating (because in my early 20s  I worked in new construction plumbing and have done residential plumbing as well) but I was certain that the mainline was not broken and even the reduced price of 10% or $430 was somewhat insulting.

I phoned in a friend and called in a favor, they introduced me to a plumber (a friend of theirs) they ran a drain cleaning-bladder or blow bag and ran it for about 45 minutes, it completely unclogged the mainline and they even ran it through toilet drain (removing the toilet of course) the issue was resolved and until now 1  1/2 days later my tenants have not complained about any stoppages. Of course, I will continue to provide the mainline with maintenance to ensure the blockage doesn't occur again anytime soon but felt that the original call for service was met with less than 100% effort to resolve the mainline blockage.  Btw I saved around $4000 by following due diligence.

This is probably the worst service in plumbing. If you're thinking of calling, don't. My mother called yesterday to get help on our clogged bathroom. The guy who attended us was nice. However, the service is poor. The job done with no results cost us $300. The guy told my parents they had two options: one cost $1200 and the other cost $2900. All for the problem to be resolved.
My parents called another plumber to do the job for only $185. Job well done!
This company says, Satisfaction is warranty. FALSE.

I will NEVER use this plumber again. When told that a plumber would be at my house in 2 hrs ( at 10am), the plumber didn't show up till nearly 8 pm. The plumber did a VERY SLOPPY JOB, leaving water under my sink and all over my kitchen floor.
When being paid, it turned out that the plumber stole a blank check, which I didn't notice. One month later, he tried to cash that check for thousands. We were able to stop this, and eventually caught and prosecuted him, but it caused much concern, changed bank accounts, notifying all business vendors, etc.

I requested a refund from the company for all my trouble. They never responded.

I DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY

Update:  Following my Yelp post, Rooter Hero emailed and spoke with me. They apologized and mailed a refund for my original payment.

Beware of FRAUD!!!!

They claimed that the city needed to do special sewer work.  I said I would pay after receiving proof of work and an updated invoice.  They did neither and charged my credit card.  I kept calling them to provide what I asked.  They have ignored me for weeks.  STAY AWAY!!!!

Outstanding service! They were so quick to reply to my quote and I had someone out here within a few hours! Alexander was our plumber and he wore a face mask and kept his distance. He was very informative! He was really great! I don't give out reviews often but HAD to for this company.

I have to admit it's the commercial I kept seeing on TV that made me think of reaching out to this company first. I was hesitant only because I was worried it would be overpriced but they were reasonably priced! I HIGHLY recommend this company!

had a guy name Basilio. He came out to Emeryville ca, on CHRISTMAS!!! Shower would not drain and toilets would clogged and he fixed the problem easy not rushing unlike other plumbers I've used in the past this guy was so thorough an professional, on time so into detail of what the problem was costumer service was. I would highly recommend these guys if there was 10 stars I would tap all 10. Thank Rooter Hero and Basilio job well done

Just wanted to say how thankful I am that Rooter Hero came through on a tough situation.. Big shot out to Dylan and Miguel and the whole team who came through and took care of a bad pipe under my house. They worked with me on my budget and got the job done quickly. This company uses employees who are on commission only.  They sent a tech out to my house on mother's day.  the tech wanted $375 to replace a free heat control valve that was covered from GE.  He negotiated for $275.  and replaced the valve for $275.00.  The water heater still did not work.  He quoted me at $1700 for a new hot water heater.  i hired another company and they replaced my igniter free of charge!  They charged me $183.00 for labor and told me that my 4 year old hot water heater worked great! they explained that rooter hero people only work on commission and do not get paid hourly!!!  I filed multiple complaints online and i am trying to get my money back from rooter hero!!!  i will never ever call them again. DO NOT CALL THEM!

i highly recommend this company for your drainage problem. Very professional and knowledgeable, special mention to ALEX the technician who is very polite and did his best effort to solve our problems. thanks also to JUAN his partner a fast and efficient worker.

My kitchen sink was backed up for a couple of days and I tried to see if I would be able to unblock it using Draino, bleach and plunger but nothing worked. I called Rooter Hero and they immediately sent Leo to come out and and take a look and see what needed to be done. He explained to me that there was grease build up in the line and would need to run the snake to unblock the line and within minutes he unblocked the the line. He was profesional and courteous. I would recommend them and definitely consider then in the future.

I had rooter hero here at my property  with a clogged toilet las Saturday. All I needed was a new toilet  installed if the technician and manager/ sales man  diagnosed the problem correctly. I got 4 options to replace all drain lines under the house , another option to insert a liner in my front yard , another to line  from side walk to city sewer and the last to insert a liner hat from city sewer covering  2 feet. I felt disrespected in the worst way because all my drain lines were replaced in abs  including 20 feet of main line up to the flower bed in my front yard ,  then I had a trench pull up to sidewalk after a liner up to city sewer connection.the work thing is that they told me they will give me a free toilet if I agree to proceed forward and spend $68,429.72 . This company is a big rip off  and I researched this company and it is a branch from mr. Rooter  same owner different license holder  I am going straight to the news with this circus show of a company.

I don't think you guys take the time to read what I wrote. If you read  what I wrote correctly I had work done 3 years ago alreadybefore  by son passed away he was a Maneger for rescue rooter and they replaced everything I stated I have a video on a thumb drive of all drains under home and all the way to the city sewer . Just because I am older and I am a woman doesn't mean you can take advantage of me . I am takeing this straight to to news   And the cslb .

I have been looking at all your branches reviews and rooter hero is the biggest scam out there I ain't the first or the last . Montclair, Orang country , San Jose , gardena  has real bad reviews from gouging honest people in the process of  getting more money out of them . I will make sure that I get a hold of the cslb and the news  to stop this dishonest way of making money and stop takeing advantage of  honest people .

Your manager Alex has never called me number 1 number 2  the toilet was never removed number 3 they only ran a augur through the toilet number 4  your company never hydro jetter my drain , number 5 they never ran a camera . If your technicians were honest they could of ran a camera through a 2 way cleanout in my flower bed .

We had a sink clog that wouldn't go away, we called them at 8:30 and we're here by 9:20. Eddie showed up quickly and got the job done quickly and efficiently. And all done for a great price and great service!

Poor customer service. The plumber broke the plug on the bathtub. I called several times before someone came to replace it. When they did replace it, it did not match the nickel finish, they replaced with a chrome finish plug.
Beware of Rooter Hero. There are so many other plumbing companies out there

Less than 24 hours after my negative post, a young lady called from the company. She listened to my issue with Rooter Hero, she apologized and said that Rooter Hero takes all complaints very seriously.
As a result of the  quick response to my posting, I will give Rooter Hero another try. It says a lot to me when a company responses so quickly. They care.

My toilet wouldn't flush and was overflowing. This company was able to get to me in about an hour on a Sunday morning which saved my life. Jason was very polite, he diagnosed my problem in about one minute, and he even cleaned up afterwards. I will definitely call this place again in the future and request Jason specifically.

I'll start off by saying this company's  techs are great, it's the administrative side and practices that are in question. I've used Rooter Hero four time is in the past year but the last two visits I've had to question their ethics. First, I was told I have a 30 day guarantee on the work that was done, on the 29th day I had to have them come back out to repair the original problem. A tech was promptly dispatched, repair completed and then was billed for the supposed work that should have been covered under the warranty. Speaking with their own representative in the office also who agreed that the job should have been covered under the warranty said her hands were tied and she would have to process the charge. Luckily the tech was in ear shot of the conversation and told me he wouldn't charge me. Second, I had them come out today for the same repair and was charged three times the original cost of $77 now $265 ( Difference this time I wasn't home, only my wife was there. Surprised as to why such a increase I was told $77 is a internet special and has to be mentioned to the technician. Well my original call a year ago never stated that nor the two other visits was it mentioned. Each visit was $77 then boom the switch and bait practice. I will not be using this company due to their lack of transparency and predatory practices. In a nut shell if you have to use this company get your quote of services in writing before the job is started.

This company is not a very reliable company.We had a appointment for them to come out at a certain time frame and the technician called right at the start time of the time frame and said he would not be able to make it and said he could call one hour before if he could make it.That would mean I would have to wait all day not knowing when he could come out and he also suggested maybe the next day.I told him to forget it, that I needed someone reliable.I should have read the reviews before I called them.I'm glad that I didn't have to do business with them.

wow just wow i come home today to find a written check for $1,485.00 to unclog a sink and its still clogged not only that the plumber'' made my mom make out the check to his name  not the company

I had such a clogged toilet. There was no way I was going to wait to have it fixed and I refuse to use Draino, which is so bad for your drains.

I called Rooter Hero, they were here the same day, it was unclogged right then and on their way they went. They were clean, kept proper spacing, has masks and I think the cost was about 80$. I like this company very much and will use them again. At some point all the back house plumbing will have to be done. Now, I know who will be doing it.

The name Hero really came through when we had a main line back up right before 5 pm. Alvino came and spent time explaining what was going on and making good in the promise to clear the drain for $77. I will call them again to scope with a camera and help diagnose this ongoing issue with our main line.

one star is too much - TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT!!  TERRIBLE COMPANY!  UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNRELIABLE!  The absolute worst customer service i have ever received in my life.  Had a confirmed appointment for a water heater fix this afternoon.  Appointment was canceled close to the end of my appt. window.  reason was that they were behind schedule and no tech available.  this is a 24/7 operation and my appt was at 4pm.  I asked if someone could just come out later.  Answer was no.  I asked that a manager please call me back.
A manager called me at 9:15pm only to verbally assault me, literally interrupted me, argued with me, YELLED at me, cut me off and was condescending, rude, aggressive and ultimately hung up on me while yelling at me.  The MOST UNPROFESSIONAL business I have ever encountered.

Rooter Hero dispatch 1st quickly responded to my call with an experienced professional plumber (Rudy) the very same day.  Rudy was able to get to the root of the problem and called his supervisor (Israel) to investigate further via camera equipment.  I'm grateful to both technicians for locating the plumbing problem and resolving it so quickly as well as talking me through the process in a way to help me understand.  Thank you guys so much.  You are the hero's of Rooter Hero!

I have mixed feeling about this review.  I called them due to a $77 special affixed to my LA Times. That part of the service was excellent.  When they couldn't clear the obstruction they ran a camera and found that I had a broken saddle.  They used a different piece of equipment to break through and clear the sewer line until a real fix could be done, basically to run a sleeve and top-hat from my property versus digging up the street.  So far so good. To get the line initially cleared cost me $695.00, which I was notified and agreed to before the work was done.  

By this time there were 3 plumbing vans there and I was quoted a ballpark figure of $15,000 - $17,000 to run a liner and a top-hat.  Needless to say my stress level was getting fairly high.  With three plumbing vans already there, they said they could jump on it first thing in the morning.  For that amount of money I told them I would have to get a second quote.  They were going to send me a bid for the job, which I never received.  As I discovered, the going rate for the job, including the permit and inspection, was $7700.00.

Moral of the experience, ALWAYS get a second bid!  It has left me wondering how overcharged I might have been on getting the sewer line cleared initially....being quoted 100% more for the liner job I suspect I was overcharged on the work they did do.

With that said, the $77 sewer rooter service was exceptional, and IF that is all you need; I wouldn't hesitate using them.

Called on afternoon Friday to fix my kitchen sink that would not drain. I was told a plumber would come to my house 4-6 PM Saturday.

Had to call numerous times when no one showed up. Their office gal (Miss L) kept repeating they would TRY to get someone to me. She could guarantee nothing. I was not happy that they had 24 hours to get someone - trying was not good enough.

Finally, after numerous calls, plumber J  came about 7:30 PM. It was cold and dark outside.

J quickly came in the house, saw the sitting water in the sink and went out to check an outside pipe. Said he could not fix it. But, he would call his supervisor R who came 40 minutes later.

R looked under the house and said they could fix the problem.

They both went to R's truck. 30 minutes later they presented a bill for $3,629.74 which they discounted by 20% (due to the inconvenience) to a final $2,903. Claimed they need to excavate pipe under house.

I said the price was sufficiently  high that I would have to get a second opinion

Sunday morning, I called Thrifty Rooter who came as promised at 10 AM. Carefully checked under the sink and saw a rotted pipe. Put snake down drain and got out some roots. They put in a new pipe under the sink, finished snaking and I was done - $290 later, including a Sunday surcharge. 90% less than Rooter Hero.

Feel Rooter Hero tried to take advantage of me as a senior citizen who knows nothing about plumbing.

I would never ever recommend them, Unprofessional in so many ways.

I should've read all the 1-star reviews here before I called rooter zero! But no...my cheap, gullible ass listened to the radio and heard $77 and called them first about a clogged tub drain. Tech comes and starts the cable. He shows me just a tiny wad of hair he snaked out and says he can't get the whole thing out unless I replace the whole drain system in the crawl space that would cost almost $2000. I realize now that he was actually using a kinked snake and that was part of his act! He offered to do the job on the side for a lower fee. I ended up paying the $77 for nothing and then my dad called another plumber he knew who snaked out all the hair with no problem for $100! And he doesn't even call himself a hero...
We were pretty pissed about the attempted scam. I'd like to take that snake and shove it up that tech's (_!_)

Rooter Hero responded to our request quickly. They arrived as scheduled. Plumber was able to remedy our issue with leak at the mainline at connection. We are extremely pleased with the workmanship. During this COVID 19 quarantine, it is nice to know they were willing to come & fix our leaking pipe connection. We really appreciate their service and are extremely thankful. We would recommend Rooter Hero to everyone and plan to use their services for any future plumbing problems.

I contacted this company after getting their advertisement in valpak in the mail! At first I had given this company a very poor review due to scheduling issues! But this company took the time to contact me and make things awesome and restored my confidence in them and that is what true customer service is all about. I would for sure recommend this company

We had a leak that had to be handled on a Sunday night.  We called Rooter Hero and they had someone out within the hour.  Jackie was very friendly and professional and took care of business rapidly.

We now consider Rooter Hero to be our plumbers!  Thanks!

I was in a desperate situation. My garbage disposal was clogged because I stupidly crammed it with pasta (no idea why I decided that was a good move). Even as I was doing it, I knew it was a mistake. Regardless, I didn't want to call my landlord again for a repair because last time it was 180. On a teacher's salary, that's not something I can afford. I called Rooter Hero on a recommendation from a friend who has their own apartment complex and they quoted me a really reasonable 77 for someone to come out and help unclog the disposal.

Alvino arrived and was very professional and pleasant. He told me a bit about how to prevent this kind of situation again. He was able to clean it out with a vacuum within 15 minutes.

I would definitely use this company again for any garbage disposal related issues or plumbing emergencies.

I called Rooter Hero based off of a recommendation of a friend. They were very quick and efficient with their  response time and scheduling. I met Eddie and he was very professional, very knowledgeable and very helpful. He came the next day to complete the repair with another plumber named Gio. They were again very professional and patient as I was multitasking. Thank you for your help and I will be calling again should the need arise.

S C A N D U L O U S ! ! !

If I could do no stars I absolutely would. I am apart of a family owned and operated business that has been working in Southern California since 1955. These guys are a straight scam. I called them out three weeks ago on a Sunday due to a back up in the bathtub and kitchen sink.

The guy comes out and tells me it's due to a clog in the main sewage line where the garage (laundry) and the house meet. Also the pipes under the house have completely worn down and have a hole in them. The project will take three days to complete.

Old house, I get it things need to be replaced. Shame on me though for not getting another company out here but I went for it.  Well they took me for $7,200 to replace the pipes under the house and supposedly clear the main sewage line with a hydro jet.

The next day the guy and his partner show up and get to work under the house. About an hour and a half later another guy shows up to hydro jet the pipe. While they are doing this they show me the issues which caused the main line to back up and they pitch me replacing the main line for originally 32k, saying it needed to be done now... I wanted to slap him. Seeing that I wasn't thrilled with the price but stressed about the needing to be replaced now problem the guy left for a few mins and then comes back saying he talked his boss down to 23k and we can set you up with a financing plan. Still frustrated, I tell the guy I need to think this over. I reach out to an old friend who has done some plumbing and as soon as I tell him Rooter Hero is here he tells me get those guys out of there, they are whores. Before long they will try to set you up with a financing plan.  

So I talk to the Rooter Hero guy and tell him hey just finish the job we originally agreed on.  So he leaves and finishes the job.

The next day my wife is doing laundry in the garage and all of a sudden the washer drain is backed up and flooding the garage.  WTF! I have never had any issues in the garage so I'm pissed and call the guy. Basically I tell him hey I have never had any issues in the garage what is going on? He tells me when they flushed the main line with the hydro jet it probably pushed some sludge that way and caused a back up.  So he tells me to call rooter hero and request him. No F'in way...

Well today I get curious after doing my own research and I dug out the dirt to see what they did and found that they cut the pipe from the garage and clogged it with who knows what and latex gloves (if you look closely you can see them).

Save your hard earned money and use

Service - so come to find out when I came home from work I had a sewer clog when my son decided to flush a toilet. Luckily I had Marcos to the rescue and he contacted his supervisor Hector because the technician was running into problems. AWESOME TEAM BTW

PRICE - Main thing people talk about is price and price is not an option since they work with you. I had several separations and cracks in my main sewer and at the time during TAX SEASON I did not have that kind of money. So what did they do they were able to help me get a affordable payment to turn a problem into a bill. I congratulate SAUDI MARTINEZ I think that's how you spell it on the fantastic customer service and working with me in my problem when I was stressed out.

Final thought - THANK YOU SARY AND YOUR HELP WITH FINANCING WITHOUT YOU AND YOUR TEAM I COULDNT DO IT.

They wanted me or someone withe age of over 18 to be there for inspection. I am the owner of the rental property and I live far from the property. I wish they had a better solution to help owners who live far. It is not uncommon for investment properties.

It is sad that you are willing to help after posting a review with less than 5 star rating. I wish the company learns to be proactive from the beginning. After the initial interaction, I am no-longer interested in pursuing with my requirements.

I honestly don't know where to begin. My plumbing went out and long story short, was desperate to get someone out to fix it. I sent out a request through Yelp asking for quotes. Hero responded immediately and came out within a couple of hours. The service Tech Leo, was so polite and a pleasure to work with and did a great job of explaining everything he needed to do in the first visit.

He needed to come back the next day to scope the pipes and committed to be back in the morning and kept that commitment. They came and scoped the pipes. He brought his manager Isreal with him who is also as polite and a pleasure to work with. It turned out that we had some major issues that were extensive and costly but Leo and Isreal worked it out so that we could have working toilets while the spent the better part of two days fixing the problem.

On top of all of the wonderful experiences, the company will text you when your service tech is on the way in addition to emailing you.

I will be considering Rooter Hero Plumbing my go to plumbing company although they did such a good job I may never need them again!

Less plumber firm, more of a sales outfit.

Did not clear a clogged piper, came out to sell of a solution I didn't need for $6,000 plus, and charged me as if they actually did fix the problem.

Earlier this month, the tenant in a rental had a clogged drain so he called Rooter Hero, a major possible disaster for me. Rooter Hero did not clear the clog and claimed they ran a camera into the line, then came to me with the following:  they determined the sewer line was clogged by tree roots, but did not bother to inform me that determination was based on guesswork, that they really couldn't see a break, but estimated it had happened because they couldn't clear it.

I turned down their offer of fixing the problem at $6thousand plus and called a competent rooter guy, who came out the next day and promptly cleared the line.

When the Rooter Hero salesman/plumber came by my house, he brought the tenant, a very big guy, with him, who stood there with arms crossed, as if to say, are you going to fix the problem right away? At past 5 p.m., the plumber/salesman told me they could jackhammer only until 7, so if I wanted it fixed today, I'd have to sign a work order right away.

He went to his truck to get a card, his mistake. The tenant went back to the house, so I took the time to check out Rooter Hero on Yelp and found something strange. Every one star rating was followed by a five star, as if someone was countering each bad review with a good one, packing the reviews, so to speak. And old reviews were good, but they got worse as time went by.

I mentioned that to the Rooter Hero salesman/plumber, and he mumbled, those must be old reviews. Just the opposite. Old reviews were good, recent ones were bad, mixed of course with good ones.

I then concluded I was being sold something I might not need for a very high price. Here's how the sales deal worked. The salesman, whoops, I mean plumber started out with a typical sales technique. The first thing he said is we'll give you a ten percent senior discount, designed to make me think he was helping me.

Then he gave me the price. At no time did he say the expensive jack hammering and replacement of a sewer pipe was based not on a factual determination, only on assumption. In this case, the only facts were Rooter Hero could not or wanted not to clear the line, after all that wouldn't mean a $6,000 payment.

On the next day's visit from Quick Rooter, which did clear the line, I found out this assumption about a broken sewer pipe is a common plumber practice. But to leave out that key fact when describing the problem to me, demonstrated the plumber/salesman was interested in a sale, not in helping me. I later learned that this employee got a commission for the sale, something he didn't tell me. The owner of Rooter Hero told me it was an incentive, but refused to tell me how much.

By now, I was suspicious, so I asked if they could allow me to make payments just to evaluate his reaction. The employee/salesman said, that's not the way it works. The COO, John Bergeron later told me they do have payment plans. The plumber/salesman advised me to take out a second loan on my property to pay them. Bergeron seemed aghast at that advice when I complained his employee took on the role of financial adviser, certainly not his job.

All of this was presented by the plumber/salesman through reading a hand held screen, he never showed me the problem because he couldn't. You can't show an assumption. He left no paper, other than a card, which had no address on it. Had to ask him to fill that in. He said he'd email me the proposal as I sent him away. Never did.

Rooter Hero should have cleared the line, they should not have charged me for not doing so and certainly not turn the call into a sales pitch for unnecessary work at a sky high price. And they should've refunded the $160 they charged me for setting me up to charge $6gs plus. They promised a refund on several occasions, a worker in the Lakewood office and Bergeron, who said the refund had already been sent, but not received by me over a week later.

Quick Rooter told me if they had to do the same job, it was cost at least $2 thousand less.

Oh yeah, the owner John A, has his cell # on the card inviting calls  from any customers. I called, he referred me to Bergeron, then I noticed he changed his policy, currently asking for texts instead of picking up which he did for me. He even called me back to make sure I was for real after I first called him. Coincidence? as that change happened after I began calling.

Rooter Hero runs ads on KFI radio. I've been told not to use any services that advertise on KFI. Now I can see why.

Do not trust Rooter Hero. They evidently pay their employees to turn mundane jobs into big ones.

I had a plumbing issue and I saw a Coupon in the mail for $77 for Rooter hero Plumbing.. the gardena location so I gave them a  call and they came over to see the issue they were very clean very professional. Took care of my problem without leaving a mess in my home so impressed with the professionalism and knowledge they have I will definitely call these guys back If I ever have an issue for sure or any of my family/friends need any plumbing!

Wow, these guys are great!   I called Saturday morning at 7am.  By 1 pm Donald was at my house.  He never gave up locating the clog.  Donald was friendly, very clean and professional.  I wouldn't hesitate to call them again  I highly recommend Rooter Hero Plumbing.

I called Rooter Hero last year when both the master and main toilets seemed to flush slower than I expected. They were running their $77 drain special and that seemed reasonable. A tech came out and attempted to auger one toilet but didnt seem to improve the flush. He then said he would need to remove the toilet and the cost would be $200. I said OK and he removed the toilet only to find roots appearing from the drain. He said he needed to get a camera to check the line and called in what I'll call the the closer. The closer arrived, sent the camera down the line and said there was a break in the line. He said it may require removal of some of my bathroom marble walls or flooring but hopefully would not have to. The cost? $13,000.
I was shocked. For reasons I still cant understand, I agreed. That decision haunts me still.
They ended up cutting a 2 foot by 2 foot section of concrete walkway outside the house near the bathroom, digging out about 2 feet of dirt to get to the repair site, and (theoretically) fixing the pipe, filling back the dirt and re-concreting what they had cut. The total time spent I would guess was about 10 hours. Not bad $1300 per hour!
They spent no time on the other toilet but I figured since the two toilets probably shared the same drain line, if the roots were hindering one toilet, the other might be affected.
I was at least smart enough to ask for a warrantee on the work and got a 15 year guarantee on both toilets.
If you think this was just a expensive but freak misfortune, about 45 days later, the other toilet still seemed to be flushing slowly. I called them back, the technician tried to auger the second toilet, ended up removing the toilet and again called in the closer to inspect the situation when roots appeared out of the toilet flange.
The closer said it would be $3,250 to replace the flange and I became irate.
I told them I had just spent a fortune fixing the toilet and wasnt about to spend more on this job. The closer paused for a moment and then said they could do it for $2,750. No way I said. The closer left and then the technician said: well I think I can probably help you out by lowering the price to $1,200.  At this point I agreed because my option was to have the work done by him or another plumber and my intent was to protest the charge because the work should have been covered by the warrantee. I did protest the charge and it was reversed. My internet research shows a flange replacement should cost about $600. Some bargain. BEWARE

A debacle! Friday evening, made an appt. for drain cleaning for the next day. I was told the plumber would arrive between noon and 2pm. At noon I was told that the appt.was . cancelled due to their being two weeks behind.  It seems they schedule appointments without checking their staffing levels.  The last minute cancellation really created a big problem for our tenant, an elderly woman who could not use her bathroom. We had to scramble around to find another plumber, not an easy task on a Saturday.

This Company's business model is based on up-selling.  They took advantage of my 87 year old mom.  She called them out to snake her tub.  Next thing you know she allegedly had broken pipes and they wanted 5k to replace them which she did.  A month later the tub is backing up again and now Eric tells us she has a broken main which they didn't catch the first time.  It will need to be replaced for another 5k.  They also said she needed to replace her kitchen plumbing for another 3k (she was having no issues in the kitchen) but they would give her a deal.  My brother was suspicious and contacted a plumber he knew.  This guy drives down from Lancaster and works on the plumbing for a few hours.  He tells us the work was shoddy, they didn't actually replace all the pipes they said they did and when Eric snaked the drain (the second time) he dislocated one of the pipes and there was water in the basement.  KJI plumbing fixed my problem for $644 as opposed to the 9k Rooter Hero's quoted and informed me that there was NO crack in the main.  Use this company at your own risk.  At the very least get a second opinion before you agree to anything.

Extremely professional,  and timely.  Jaime showed up on time, was very professional,  and fixed our problem quickly.  He cleaned up after himself, and made sure to dump outside the house.  I will definitely be calling again if I have any other issues.

Requested Rooter Hero for a same day evaluation for what we thought was a simple plumbing issue, and they sent out Eddie A. in a matter of 30-45 minutes.  After about ten minutes into the job Eddie reached out to his team and let us know that our simple plumbing issue was more of a major problem.  Without getting into any big details, Eddie and his team were able to assess and solve our problem in a day.  He was polite, engaging, funny and informative.  A man about his work.  10/10 would recommend and SPECIFICALLY ask for Eddie again.

I wish I could give a zero star. Terrible customer service! They cancelled me at the last minute and refused to accommodate me in any other way. I will never call them again

Daniel V came by to give an estimate to relocate my water heater from the back to the side of the house. This guy was extremely professional. I could tell he knew his stuff because I had three other companies come by earlier in the day for the same estimate.  After getting all the pricing he got us the best deal. So needless to say I hired Rooter Hero for the job. Man it was an all day endeavor. A far bigger job than I had realized. I got to hand it to the guy for spending a majority of the day in the hot attic rerouting the water pipes. All through the day he was professional with a great attitude.  Extremely happy with the service. If you got a big plumbing job ask for him at Rooter Hero. Don't waste half your day  getting multiple estimates from other companies like I did. You'll get the best deal with him.

Zero stars for wasting our time. Called and received same date appointment to help unclog drainage of a backed up tub, with a call back promise for appointment time window. After few hours and no call back, I called again and was informed the service vehicle was 20 minutes away.
The service worker, while courteous, made minimal effort to unclog the drain, and instead spent more time inspecting pipes throughout the property, and talking about all the things that may need work. He spent less than 5 minutes actually snaking the drain, and looking back, it was purely an act of show. All in all, over an hour of our time was wasted: lots of talk and show that produced a minimum $1600 work proposal, and more should the job require pipe replacement and wall access.

Thankfully I called another option, and a local plumber came by to help. Took him less than 15 minutes to unclog the drain using standard snake tool.

Lesson learned: this company cannot be trusted, and may use simple jobs to inflate projects for their own financial gain.

I had an absolutely terrible experience with the plumbing services provided by Rooter Hero. I contacted them to fix a major issue with my main pipe, but they did a poor job from start to finish. The plumbers they sent out were extremely unprofessional. The lead on the job Israel arrived late and seemed unprepared for the job at hand. They made a mess of the job with poor concrete work on top of the poor plumbing, leaving behind a pile of dirt and debris. After multiple days of work including a rough excavation around my property, the team that they sent out claimed to have fixed the problem, but it quickly became apparent that the issue was not resolved. Water continues to be backed up and feces continue to leak from the pipe, causing significant damage to my property. When I called the company to request a refund and express my dissatisfaction, they were unresponsive and unhelpful. I was deeply disappointed with the quality of work and the lack of professionalism exhibited by Rooter Hero. I would strongly advise against using their services for any plumbing needs. Will be adding photos soon of concrete repair and spillage next time it happens.

I was in desperate need of a new water heater. The connections and were very old. Eddie from/and Rooter Hero really saved my butt. ​I called three other companies and none would come out on such short notice. Eddie was professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. I felt like I was in good hands and he was able to bring the price down to a number I was comfortable spending.  He worked hard and was able to replace my water heater the same day. Our front bathroom shower started to back up. We have an old house in Long Beach with old Plumbing. Until we can replace that, Leo came out and snaked the shower from the inside and cleared it out. He was friendly & fast & knew exactly what was needed. This is the only company we call, they don't try to up sell us anything.

I had a leak in my drain on Dec 26th. George was the first one on site and quickly discovered that my main line was clogged. After unclogging it and doing further inspection my main line was in poor condition and needed to be felines. Throughout the whole process George spent a lot of time with me, answering all my questions and trying to help me out on certain aspects. I feel like I went to the plumbing university! In the end my problem was fixed, George was so dedicated he was still working in the house on Dec31st at 8pm! If that's not a great plumber, I don't know what is!

We came home to water backed up in our bathtub and called them out around 5pm on a Sunday. They got us on the schedule for Sunday night and Cory was here around 830pm. He was great and got the job done! Great price as our landlord had another plumber out yesterday from another company who claimed to have fixed the issue and didn't but charged over 300.00. I highly recommend using rooter heros!!! They really are good and don't try to break the bank!! We can't thank you enough!!

Shower work by John Lillie.  Quick to respond for the estimate.  Didn't try to make the job bigger than it should have been, unlike some other contractors.  Quick to get the job done.  Reasonable price.  Followed all the Covid guidelines.  And had some good stories to tell as well.  Highly recommend!

I cannot believe how unresponsive this organization is. I have been trying since late May to get this organization to respond to my concerns. And it is not only me, my insurance company has left numerous messages without a call back. The supervisor for the job has more excuses than there are grains of sand on the beach. He tells me to contact his manager, who does't give me excuses only because he doesn't return calls.
The work was performed in a timely manner, corrections were made, after numerous calls, but my administrative questions go unanswered. This organization voided my contract, signed me up for a loan with no disclosure statement, have an unregistered home improvement salesperson identified on the contract and are not concerned at all if their lack of response causes my insurance company to drop my claim due to this company's non-responsiveness.
So you can guess which organizations I will be calling to have them investigate this organization.

We are extremely happy with the customer service the company provided. Leo  was efficient and professional during his assessment of the situation.  Roberto,  the supervisor, was open, genuine , and honest with the assessment of our home. We have an older home and our pipes are not functioning as they should be. Roberto educated us about the how the deterioration of the pipes can impact us in the future. He was compassionate and understanding. As a working family hear the truth was  refreshing .  He did not pressure us about going on to the next phase. When I told him I needed to get two other quotes he was professional and shared what to look for when comparing companies and their skills.

Had a problem with a broken drain line/standing water in the kitchen on Jan 2nd and was not able to get multiple bids due the holidays and emergency. Rooter Hero came out and fixed the problem, but they charged me an arm and a leg. It seemed like they took advantage of the situation. Charged me $2,900 for a $1,500 job and said it was because they had a 20 year warranty. Don't recommend them, will never use them again.

We used Rooter Hero for the first time to unclog a pipe that was clogged due to roots and mud. They arrived on time and gave a courtesy call which is very helpful. Leo was the lead and he did a great job communicating with me and addressing the issue. We were also glad they recommended a video as this showed the larger issue. Thanks Leo and crew!

One of Rooter Hero's fundamental promises is that they respond promptly (within an hour) to service calls. I've reached out to them three times in the past 14 hours without any response. If they don't honor their simple commitments how can I trust them with one of my homes most critical systems?

I had a plumbing emergency this morning at 5:30 AM! Donald Henry came and saved the day! He was professional, courteous, and went above and beyond to solve my plumbing issue!

We had a good experience with Rooter Hero.  Rafeal gave us an initial consultation and gave us a fair price (we compared prices) to service our tankless water heaters.  He was clean, friendly, and displayed professionalism throughout the visit.  The procedure took about an hour.  I would call him again in the future.

This place is a rip off, we were quoted $4500 for a job that was done by another rooting company for $1260.

I asked Rooter Hero Plumbing to install a bathroom faucet that I picked out.  

While the service itself was fine and quick; the price was over twice what competitors would have charged.  

They refused to give me any estimate or quote over the phone; so I was quoted the amount after the plumber arrived.  After he put the service I requested in his phone using the company's app, he showed me the price they charged.  This is easily something the person over the phone could have done.

I agreed to the service because I really wanted to get it done that day and the plumber was already there; so it was convenient.  I'm sure that this is their strategy when it comes to over-charging customers for service.

Please beware of their pricing strategy above.  I will not be calling them for any more service and will be using much lower cost competitors from now on.

Right before a holiday and my drain is clogged.  One quick phone call and  I had an appt.  Within two hours Jesus and Bernie were at my door.  Professional, polite and efficient young men.  Thank you for rescuing me.

Franko Helped me, the 77 dollar thing is good if you have access to the main, if not and they have to take the toilet out its 320 so be prepared. Franko was great, showed me right up front how the outside had no access and I didnt know where one was, he showed me the book that said, toilet out for access, 3 hundred something. I am a guy, I already had the toilet out ;-) 77 bucks and he even gave me a free camera scope of the pipes to see if I had any other damage. I hope I didnt get him in trouble for doing this FREE.
The guy was great, I suggest Franko. I thought I left a review but I couldn't see it, so this guy deserves a good one.

I have had an issue with a leaky shower knob. I took it apart and did what I could.  I found this company on google and they were actually open on Sunday! And... they didn't charge anything for an inspection.

Saw the ad in the Times with coupons so called with three repairs-slow drains in 3 bathroom sinks, one noisy toilet and a leaky faucet handle.  Manny arrived one time and was great.  He had a positive attitude and worked hard.  The leaky faucet handle gave him some trouble though and he worked on it for a couple of hours.  He and my husband figured what was going on and he took it from there.  
Overall I was pleased with the courteous service and also he kept it all clean while he worked.We felt the price was fair as well.  Everything is still working fine.

Don't ever use his company. I called them out to replace a simple screw-on pipe from my hot water heater to the wall. They were going to charge me $500. I asked why so much, since I was just at the hardware store and the part is $10? He said that these are the prices I have to charge but you should just fix it yourself, it so easy. So I went to the hardware store, bought the $10 part and was done in 5 minutes. These horrible people overcharging unsuspecting customers!!!!

I had a couple of leak issues with my new home and home warranty didn't have anyone in their network that could work on PEX systems. I needed a re-piping job with my laundry pipes as well as a leaky PEX system.

This was the first plumber that came over to take a look at my place. I thought it was a good fit and we were on the same page. I even asked if he could take a look at my hot water issue for my kitchen faucet and bathroom faucet they let me know they would help take a look and clean it. They determined that the issues were that I needed to get new faucets and that would be a separate charge. They said they would send me an estimate and never did. But again, they were overcharging in the first place.

They estimated the whole job for $2,200. I thought that was a large chunk of change. Little did I know that when I got multiple plumber estimates, this was the most expensive. I did however choose to go with this service as I felt they would take care of me. I thought, you get what you pay for. I was wrong.

While, yes, they did fix my plumbing issues. There was a pipe that they didn't see behind my laundry and they asked me if I wanted a new estimate to replace that pipe. I let them know that I would have to go through home warranty again to get that approved and so the plumber let it slide and didn't charge me. While knowing that everyone else charged a LOT less than this place, I couldn't help but feel like Rooter Hero got a little too greedy trying to take advantage of me and trying to overcharge for their service.

They also estimated I needed new faucets for my bathroom and kitchen sink. When I went to another plumber at another company, he immediately fixed my bathroom faucet issue. It wasn't the faucet, it was the pipe underneath the sink, he just flushed it out and made it work immediately and DIDN'T CHARGE ME. The kitchen faucet wasn't the issue either it was the line underneath that connected to the dishwasher and needed two angle stops. The fact that these plumbers couldn't even catch that. Not worth the money.

They did do a good job under my sink and with my laundry which I am extremely grateful for. However, another plumber quoted the same job for only $375 and he also fixed my hot water issues immediately. There are better, less services elsewhere.

It's bad business to overcharge and be greedy. I thought Rooter Hero would take care of me but they need to work on the customer service and being less greedy. I will unfortunately not be using them ever again due to the bad experience I recieved.

Armando and Jonathan from Rooter Hero plumbing really took care of us. Right before the 2016 holidays Sh#% hit the proverbial fan. The plumbing blocked in miserable sections in our house, starting in the kitchen sink, proceeding to the laundry room and, finally, in the most undignified parts of our humble abode. Mando and Jonathan were there for us! Within 2 days we had a whole new sewer system. And the price was right. I recommend Rooter Hero. And always ask for these two fantastic gentlemen.

Our water heater went out yesterday and I could not reignite it by myself.  I never saw a spark or the pilot light come on after following the instructions.  Called a couple of plumbers for help trouble-shooting the issue, and the guys from Rooter Hero Plumbing were fast to respond and dispatch a very friendly technician to help with the problem.  He briefly inspected the unit, tried similar steps to reignite my unit, however, also without success.  After quizzing me about the age of the unit and how often we flushed the unit, he quickly concluded that sediment built-up was the issue at hand for this age (9 years), and the only logical remedy would be to replace the whole unit for $2700 or repair at ~$1300 (plus waiting for parts 7+ days).  Puzzled I asked him why sediment built-up in the tank would cause the igniter to fail, he could not satisfactorily answer the question...   Turns out the spark was actually there but a quite recessed in the glass window (which I did not see/realize initially), and the device fired up later in the day without issues after following the proper steps (e.g., hold down the ignition button long enough).  At the end of the day, basically user error, but the technician could not figure that out...  I almost fell for the water heater exchange offer if I did not tried some more trouble-shooting tonight.

I had a terrible experience,and urge caution to anyone considering Rooter Hero.
They did send a technician,extremely quick,but that's as good as it gets.
Had a backed up shower drain,and the technician could not clear it,with a snake,via the tub overflow/waste. Decided to try the clean out,on the outside of the house. Clean out was packed with 70 years of gunk,and Technician said he wouldn't touch it,and told me I needed to Hydrojet it,to clear it. Paid $475 to hydro jet the line. It worked,but shortly after,we discovered a leak somewhere in the drain system. It was getting late,so technician said he would be back the following day,with his Supervisor to inspect the line,with a camera.  

Showed up 3 days later,but I had already determined where the leak was coming from. The drain at the bottom of the tub,had a hole in it,caused by the technician's poor attempt at snaking the drain.
I went ahead and let them run the camera,in the drain line. Within seconds,they told me that the line was full of roots,and said that it needed to be replaced. I guess,the $475 I paid them for the Hydrojetting,wasn't enough.The drain line is above ground,so how could it be full of roots?
They never offered to repair the piece that was damaged by their equipment,and said that it would cost $1500,to replace the part.
I declined the repair,and sent them on their way.

I had the tub drain repaired by a different Plumbing company,a couple of days later,that confirmed that there were no roots in the line.

So much for a $77 drain cleaning!
This was a terrible experience,that could have been avoided,had I taken the time to sift through the reviews. Lesson learned!

These guys hit a triple. Not quite a home run. They are professionals who treated the house and family with high regards during this pandemic.

Replaced the entire cast iron sewer system with my favorite black ABS and with all the finishing touches; scoped the system before and after, installed a main lateral clean out per code; replace some old galvo risers with copper for a bathroom basin - since the wall was already opened.

The price was more than what you'd pay for if the job was done by one guy. The job got done in two days with none of those little annoyances upon completion. The crew cleaned up and left the work area better than it was.

Why not a homer you ask? The bathroom basin sanitee needed to be replaced, but it wasn't part of the original estimate so it didn't get done. They offered to come back and do the job at minimal cost.

All around satisfied and would recommend them for bigger jobs.

Called for appt.  requested the next day they gave me an appointment 11 to 1 called me at 1030 said Biondo called confirming appt and said he would be out within 30 minutes.  1 hour later still not here.  I called Answering service told me they would have supervisor call me half an hour later didn't hear anything call them back they said they were waiting for a technician to come to be available it was already past 1 o'clock I told him never mind my time is valuable too, after waiting two hours for them to show.  Don't use them they don't show when they say they will and doesn't seem to care.

Needed late night drainage of my homes main sewer line, called, and they were here within the hour. Abraham inspected and explained everything before any work began and then did a thorough job. Excellent service.

These people are scammers.  Their main goal is for you to agree with them that you need a new sewer system installed in your property worth $$$$$.  They may unclog your drain but still they want you to tell them to install a new sewer system after they brain washed you about it.  STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE.

Needed the pipes snaked or hydro jetted and was promised an arrival time of 9am. At 10 am, he still had not arrived so we called and a receptionist said she would look into it. Never got a call back on when he would arrive. We started contacting other companies services. At 11:30am he arrived at the house with no explanation. He then told us hydro jetting would cost $1,100 even though we got estimates from other companies for $400-$450. He told us their company could match theirs. We thought they would give us a deal for the inconvenience. He came back and said the best they could do was $500. So not only could they NOT match the competitors price, but they went higher and wouldn't offer a discount for the 2 1/2 hour delay. Waste of time and energy, don't contact this company if you want good customer service, good prices, and reliability.

They do such a great job. Leo A was my plumber and he was such a good plumber. He answered all my questions and did an awesome job. Thank you so much.

Called to get service for a backed up main line about 5:30pm. The coupon on line said service was good until 7:00pm so when technician arrived at 6:15pm figured I was good. I showed them the clean out and explained that it happed about 5 years before and this is the area that needs to be snaked. You could see the leak and smell the sewage.  The technician said he couldn't snake that are because it was dangerous and would need help. He proceeded to other side of the house and started snaking.  About 10 minutes in explained that the coupon was only good until 5:00pm, but because he forgot to tell me, would horror the $77 price.  After about 20 minutes there was no change and drains were still clogged.  He told me he couldn't fix it that night, but could come back the next day with a help and would be $385.  His dispatch was going to call me to make arrangements.  Basically left me with no way of showering or flushing the toilet until the next day.  Obviously that wasn't going to work, so called another plumber, (someone I never heard of), and was out that night and fixed the situation.  A single person with after hour charges was $180 and was able to shower that night.  

I hear this guys commercial almost everyday on the radio, and not only was the technician inexperienced, but had didn't really care that we were unable to use the bathroom until it was repaired.  Also never received a call from the dispatch, so not sure where the customer service for Rooter-Hero was? Anyway, not a good experience and will be the last time I use a big box company I hear on KFI.

Had a blocked shower todaycalled Rooter Hero they asked me what time was good for me!! Leo A from western Gardena shop was at my door promptly as promised, he was super friendly, professional and efficient! The shower is now unblocked and I even get a warranty So Glad I received their coupon in the mail yesterday! So efficient and affordable thanks!!

Five stars is not enough to rate the service technician - Leo, who repaired a major leak that I had under the house. Fast, thorough and courteous service from beginning to end. Leo provided videos of leak, pictures of repairs, and had it repaired in no time. I called Rooter Hero from NorCal to have repair in SoCal - great service!!! I would recommend Leo and Rooter Hero to anyone. Thank you!!!

These guys are amazing. I had been dealing with a plumbing stoppage for over a month. Home warranty was being difficult, and even though they sent 3 different plumbers out to my house, one plumber multiple times, none of them were able to help me. Eddie from Rooter hero came out and was extremely friendly and helpful.  They were able to fix the problem in one day, just a couple of hours. Afterwards, I informed them of various other problems that the other plumbers said I had and told me why they couldn't fix my issues. Eddie contacted his manager Frank. Frank came out, they looked at all of my pipes, said the wrong types of pipes were installed in the past and I might have stoppage issues again. Also, all other plumbers told me I didn't have a main line clean out and couldn't tell me where my main line was. Frank checked it out, found it, and convinced my insurance to basically completely cover payment for installation of a main line clean out. (And it was expensive). Then to help me out, the replaced all the wrong pipes in my house for a reasonable price. And even though they don't install drywall, I was offered assistance in removing the toilet and replacing it whenever the contractors would come to repair the drywall removed to repair my pipes. If I need plumbing work in the future, or if anyone does, I would advice and suggest to call Eddie and Frank at Rooter Hero First. Truly heroes of the job.

We needed some sewer clearing that the usual snake could not clear. The crew came prepared and hydrojetted the sludge. The also ran a camera down the line and found a couple of serious problems that will need to fixed. But line is open again and we can use the drains. Cost for hydrojetting is much more expensive than snaking but that is what we needed. Crew were good at explaining what they had done and emailed me pictures of the interior of the pipe where there were problems.

I just had the best experience working with Eddie Antillon from Rooter Hero Plumbing. I am 9 months pregnant with my due date in 2 days. What we thought was a simple clogged pipe ended up being a major plumbing issue that Eddie and his supervisor Miguel were able to find, assess and give recommendations on next steps.

Eddie is personable, knowledgeable and truly took the time to make sure my family and I understood what the issue was. He worked diligently to ensure we had a functional solution each day, even though the job took 3 days to resolve because of how massive the job ended up becoming. Through his long work days, Eddie remained super friendly and talked us through every step. He even helped walk me through the financing options as a result of the major repair they had to do. His supervisor Miguel was also incredibly detailed, friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend Rooter Hero and Eddie specifically in a heart beat!

He was very courteous, pleasant and efficient.  He was very confident and fixed the problem very quickly for the price offered $77.00 He is an excellent representative and he said he checked it and it worked fine before leaving. WARNING! These are the biggest crooks anywhere. Just read the other reviews including the hidden ones. Same story over and over.
Called them for their $77.00 drain clearing special on a rental house of mine. The $77.00 turned into $395 and then $1200.00. I was told that my main drain line was broken, and roots have clogged the entire system. In addition to this they also diagnosed leaking pipes under my house all of which were untrue. Total estimate $16,000+.
They bring out their camera system and tell you the very worse scenario possible into scaring you to pay out the nose. Then they dispatch the salesman who basically told me that it is a good thing that he is pressuring me into making a decision right away. His words were that diamonds are made with pressure. What a fool to disclose his obviously learned sales technique.  They also coached my tenant on what to say pitting her against me. Scared her into thinking the drain would clog again in three days to get me to pay the eventual $16,000 estimate that gave me.
Needless to say i was over charged for a simple clean-out, and sent them on their way.
These guys are SCAM ARTISTS plain and simple. They should be put out of business, and if i can do anything to help this happen you can be sure i will spend as much time and effort to make this a reality.

I was very happy with the service and the reasonable charge this company provided me today. I had a clogged floor sink and they had their guy come sooner than the time they projected and was able to fix the problem in a short period of time. The employee they sent, Lamont, was very courteous and really made extra effort to fix my problem. He also made future proposals of what we may need to do in the future without pressure. I highly recommend this company and I know I will be using them again.

We recently experienced a major septic line blockage and contacted Rooter Hero. We were  fortunate to have Eddie Antillon come to our home to help diagnose and repair our problem. Over the course of 2 and 1/2 days Eddie and his team snaked out our line , used a camera to determine that we had a major root obstruction in our line, dug out a 20 Square foot area 3 feet down, replaced 8 feet of root blocked line with new pvc pipe, installed a new Y clean out , descaled the lines from the new Y clean out in both directions  and then refilled the excavated area to its original condition. The majority of all this work was personally performed by Eddie , a master plumber, who is polite, professional, takes pride in his work and is always a pleasure to work with .

What a great experience!! Had our drained unclogged without any hassle in no time IN THE RAIN!!! So appreciated!!  We had kind of made it easy by pulling out the washer and pulling off some of the piping to access the clog better but he returned all pipes and washer back to normal and working order. Thanks again Donald.

Had them out to clear a simple drain for their $77 special. They tried to up sell me to $12,000 (10k with discounts) in repairs .  Had a second plumber out to bid and he cleared the clog and quoted $2700 as preventative not urgent for the same work they said was needed to fix my problem.  

They are nice and knowledgeable but they will take your money if you don't watch out.

On September 16, 2018, I called Rooter Hero because my stall shower, bathtub, and toilet were all backed up in the only bathroom In my house. Within 30 minutes, Frank (Rooter Hero Technician) was at my door.  (Great response time.)

The plan was to clear the clog with the jetter and then scope the drain with a camera to check the condition of the pipes.  The cost for these two procedures was $230.  (From this point on, things did not go as I expected.)

Within minutes, my drains were cleared with the jetter and it was music to my ears. Then the camera was guided through the pipes revealing numerous cracks, broken seals, and bottomless pipes that needed to be repaired.  Since a permaliner would need to be installed as part of the repair, the cost jumped to about $15K.

The following day, Robert (Field Supervisor), brought me a copy of the Home Improvement Contract and told me I WAS approved for the $15K to fix the pipes. He seemed to be very anxious to get the job started, but I wanted a day to think things through and consult with my contractor in regards to the schedule for the other work being done.

Frank and a small crew started the job on September 19th and completed it on September 21st.  A couple days later, Frank told me I was NOT approved for the $15K and that I should call the finance company to find out why.  (NOTE: The job has already been completed at this time.)

According to the representative at the finance company, I was never approved for $15K. I was only approved for $3500 which was my available balance in my home improvement account at the same company.

The following day, Robert finally showed up to tell me what Frank had already told me. There was no mention of Robert misleading me about being approved for the $15K, when I wasn't.  (Now what?)  He also told me he spoke to the financial department at Rooter Hero and they would be contacting me for more information.  (Why wasn't this route taken in the first place?)

Then the conversation took a turn.  Still on my front porch with one foot in my doorway, Robert began asking me some personal questions that had nothing to do with plumbing. His questions were unprofessional and unsolicited which made me feel uncomfortable and concerned for my safety.

With perfect timing, William from Plumbing Financial called to get some information from me to secure a loan for the $15K.  I explained to William that I was having other work done on my house and wanted to keep the plumbing separate from the home improvements.  I also told him I did not want the $3500 from the other company used for the plumbing.  William understood.

Unfortunately, Robert took it upon himself to use that $3500 for part of my plumbing bill without my permission. (Why was he allowed to do this?  It wasn't his to use.)  In the meantime, William found another company to finance the remaining $12K.  But, now my plumbing bill was split between two different financial companies, which I did not want.  And I no longer had the $3500 to put towards the home improvements I had going.  I am not pleased with any of this.

Besides all of that...

1). There's a statement on the bottom of their Home Improvement Contract stating I would receive a copy of the contract with signatures, before the job begins.  I did not receive a copy with signatures before or after the job.

2). I have not received a copy of the video from the camera shoot as promised by Frank and Robert.

3). When they replaced the wax seal underneath the toilet, they did not shorten the bolts at the base so I could hide them with the caps.  (I don't have the tools or the know how to do this.)

4). After repeated requests to Frank, I still have not received my itemized invoice for the job that was done over a month ago. (NOTE:  I did not want to contact Robert for obvious reasons stated above.)

Yelp! may or may not be the place for this particular review, but I needed people to notice.

If you have a real clog in your main line, don't bother with these guys.  They can handle a sink or interior clogs,, but they have only the small snakes and can't handle any major clogs from tree roots in your main line.

After their second visit, doing the same ineffective thing with the wrong size line in the wrong cleanout, they refunded my money.  What a waste of time.

I finally called Valley Rooter and they showed up the next morning with the right tool and got the job done.  It was $225.   that's what it really costs to get the job done right.

I highly recommend Rooter Hero. Before giving them a call I read a lot of the reviews. A common theme in all the negative reviews was angry people writing an angry review. Rooter hero doesn't charge you to come out, even at 3am!  If you don't like what the tech says about your plumbing issue then don't hire them. There is no rip off in the culture of Rooter Hero. They do quality work at competitive prices with professional staff that is attentive and great at communicating status.
My first call was met by a very pleasant and empathetic office lady that dispatched a Foreman out to my house within 2 hours on a Friday afternoon. I had a feeling that my problem was going to be a bad one because I had been told several times over the years that my main sewer line in the street was filling with roots due to broken clay piping. Matt and his apprentice discovered on their own what I dreaded to hear but knew was coming. Matt called out Supervisor Steve to confirm his findings and they gave me a quote that was within the range I had previously expected to pay when judgement day came.  I authorized the work and they proceeded with demolition on my driveway and street asphalt. They communicated all along the way. They quote firm job prices so there were no surprises. No one tried to sell me financing or anything I didn't need. I was given all the options  that are now available and educated on what Matt and Steve felt were needed and what were optional.
They did an extensive job on time, cleanly, professionally and for the original price they quoted. I highly recommend Rooter Hero for plumbing jobs small and large.

Late post. Last month we contacted Rooter Hero to take advantage of their TV special for our clogged bathroom sink. Eddie came out and checked out the situation and realized it was a larger issue that was tied to our already blocked bathtub that wasn't draining and hadn't been draining for a while.

We had gone through other plumbers before and either the plumber couldn't handle the job because our bathroom is just about fully tiled by the previous owner or they suggested taking the entire tub out to get to the pipes that seemed to have a break somewhere under the slab.

Eddie assessed the situation and advised they could go through the bathroom sink and get to the tub to help replace the broken pipes.  Eddie brought in his boss Miguel and they gave us a quote to address the issue. They were very helpful and came up with a plan that didn't require tub removal and would allow our bathroom to be put back together nicely.  

Long story short the job turned out to be much worse than we all thought and they ended up having to open both the bathroom and kitchen floor to replace the badly damaged 50 year old cast iron pipes. In the end Eddie, and Daniel who came in and did all the work in like 3 days had took care of everything and put everything back together and you wouldn't know we had gaping holes in both floors just days before. Problem solved and we can use the downstairs bathroom sink and tub again.

Rooter Hero is a top notch service, the plumbers are down to earth and will work with you to help get the job done. Also being that we were in a pandemic the plumbers were careful to ensure they cleaned up behind themselves at the end of every workday.

I had a serious back up in both my bathroom. I had  no toilet for several days, so you can imagine the stress with a family of three and no toilet. to make things worse, I have old plumbing pipes, galvanized iron that were so dilapidated, we could not snake to open the drain. But, glory be to God I found Rooter Hero and Auturo, Omar, Kio (check spelling for Kio name) I called the office, and the same day they dispatched Arturo and Omar out to my house. These guys came out when they said they would come, they assessed the situation and began work right away to unclog my toilets and old pipes. They work into the night, and discovered it was more work than we had thought. They asked if they could come back the next day and gave me a discount for allowing them to finish out the next day. On the next day, they brought with them Kio who is a master at Hyro Jetting. They worked hours without complaint, but they are committed. knowledgeable in  their craft as plumbers. These guys went way beyond the call of duty to not leave until my drain was open. These guys posses a great attitude: professional, kind, caring, and great to work with. After working with these guys, I am convinced they will always, as the need arise to do all my plumbing work , and I highly recommend them to you for your plumbing needs. Scam Artists that Double Team You!

I called Rooter Hero to figure out why I had water damage under the tile next to my shower.  Their plumber, Donald Henry, came out and called in his supervisor to offer a second opinion.  The two of them told me that my shower valve needed to be replaced.  The written estimate to replace the shower valve was $2158.  

I called two different plumbers for another opinion and discovered two important things: (1) it usually costs somewhere between $400-700 to replace a shower valve not over $2000! and (2) the shower valve was NOT LEAKING.  In fact, when the other plumbers came, they looked at the water meter outside my house and it was not moving. There was no active leak in my house.  Rooter Hero tried to charge me more than three times the going rate to fix a water valve that was perfectly fine!

Needless to say, I would never use them again and would never recommend them to anyone.

Ralph was the man! Unclogged my sink in no time. Quick and easy and very thorough. The pricing was fair and the situation was resolved with a 30 day warranty!

I had backed up drains in the bathroom and wasn't even expecting to get same-day service but was pleasantly surprised when Eddie called me and he was able to come out today. Within a couple hours he was able to get everything flowing smoothly again. I'll definitely use Rooter Hero again in the future if I need to.

It's always a challenge to find a reputable plumbing company. Definitely found one in Rooter Hero. My brother experienced a leak in his kitchen that caused quite a bit of damage. I had seen an ad for Rooter Hero and decided to call because we needed immediate action taken to assess the damage and provide a reasonable action plan . Matthew McCaw was outstanding and responded immediately. He had the plumbing technician , Johnny come to the residence and start work right away. He was extremely knowledgeable, took the time to explain what had to be done , was diligent , efficient , pleasant , and cleaned the work area thoroughly when he completed the job.  He tested all his work to insure everything was operational with zero leaks. Assured us that if we encountered any problems, to call and they would be out to correct  any issues because they stood behind their work.  Mr. Matthew McCaw  always was available to answer my calls and answer any questions and always made my brother and I feel as a priority customer. He was responsive and demonstrated true professionalism. Both Matthew McCaw and Johnny should be commended for their professionalism. They are clearly the type of professionals you want servicing you.

Rooter Hero Plumbing contacted me quickly after my request and scheduled an appointment same day between 3-5 PM. Their associate, Blas G, called me and specified at what time he can reach our home and was on time. He inspected the problem, explained the issue and cost of different solutions. After our decision, he got to work and fixed it swiftly and easily. All in all its a good experince from start to end.

Sooooo unreliable. Had an appointment set for a drain clearing , got a call saying the tech would be late. Then immediately got a text saying the tech was en route. Called dispatch, they told me the tech was en route from about 4 miles away but when I spoke with the tech directly he said he was coming from 20 miles away (big difference in LA!). When Tech arrived, he called the wrong number so was waiting outside needlessly...I only find out when I called the dispatcher to find out why 2 hours later I still didn't have a knock at my door. And,  to top it off, he couldn't get the grate off of the drain to unclog it! The tech said the screws were stripped and he needed to cut a hole in it to fit the snake in, but didn't have the equipment for it. Well, the screws were NOT stripped, I was able to remove them myself with the proper size Allen key (with less than 3 minutes'  effort) after deciding to try myself. So...then I rescheduled for the tech to come back out the next business day, only for him to bail on me at the last minute! Absolute disaster of an experience . And my drain is still clogged! Needless to say I am going with another company and never calling this place again. They're a hot mess. Run in the other direction, folks!

All the bad reviews are TRUE!!!! DON'T CALL ROOTER HERO! They are predators! Look at the bad reviews, everyone needs a complete sewer re-pipe or major repairs! Rooter Hero technicians... better referred to as salesmen... are con-artists! They did the same thing to my friend. They called for a sewer back up. All they needed was a jetting.... it turned into a $50K quote! Rooter Hero uses scare tactics, prays on the naive homeowner & the elderly. EVERYTHING was bad & had to be replaced according to the salesman. Fortunately, they couldn't afford the $50K and they only got scammed for $25K, for a $10K job.

Unfortunately, they didn't call me first! They wouldn't have gotten conned and ripped off. When we told the supervisor to stop the project (within the 3 day period to cancel) so it could be inspected, he said the job was almost complete... but then spent 2 more days working at a feverish pace trying to hurry & finish. All Rooter Hero needed to do was jet the mainline and replace a section of sewer mainline... that's all!

The company office staff is just as crooked as the salesmen. We called to complain about the sham. They always had to call us back..... but never did. We were lied to by multiple employees, numerous times. Everyone had a different story.

Rooter Hero pay for Yelp reviews! They give disgruntled customers who post bad Yelp reviews a discount if they take down the bad review! Dealing Rooter Hero is like dealing with a shady used car dealer. Buyer beware... You've been warned!

I will never call anyone else!!! Abraham was amazing and fixed my issue in 30 minutes. I had another company out earlier in the day and they told me I was going to have to spend 3000 to 5000 to fix the issue. It was just a clog and didnt spend over 100 with them. Honest and reliable!!! Don't use them. I called with a water heater issue. They said 1-3 hrs. I can accept that. After 3 hrs, I had to call them for an update and was told another 2-3 hrs. Wish they would have been more honest in the beginning. Called another plumber and at my house in 20 minutes. Problem taken care of asap. They hide 1 star reviews.... tried posting several times.

Jamie came out today to help us with a sink that wouldn't drain. He was fast and very helpful! He arrived on time and did exactly what I needed. He was nice and I felt comfortable with him in our home. I would definitely recommend. Thank you!

Pacoima, CA. I had service today, Saturday, September 22, 2018. Elizabeth and her assistant were both competent, friendly, and capable. They diagnosed the problem, and said it would necessarily be more expensive than just a drain cleaning, that I originally assumed it to be. When Elizabeth called Rooter Hero Office, she was informed what the total cost would be: $1200.00. Elizabeth reported it to me. I felt I was working with professionals. I accepted the amount. I watched Elizabeth and assistant successfully accomplish the task after they returned from obtaining the pipe from a supplier. But it was an easily accomplished task that a handyman could have done for far less. $1200.00 was exorbitant in the extreme. I WAS SCREWED !!!!!

Francisco and Dylan were very helpful trying to unclog my kitchen sink. Not only were they professional and polite, they knew what they were doing!

My Plumber Mark was exceptional. Courteous, polite, on time and friendly. Had my faucet installed in less than 45 minutes. Triple checked everything and cleaned up thoroughly before he left. I will always call Rooter Hero for my plumbing needs. Excellent customer service and experience. Fair price. This is the second time I've used them and they just keep getting better!

I respect Rooter Hero and would recommend them based on our interaction. We recently purchased a home which had sewer lateral work performed by another company (which Rooter Hero purchased). Turns out the sewer lateral was incorrectly installed by the other company and would need to be corrected under the warranty of the previous agreement. Rooter Hero honored this warranty and fixed the issue with no questions asked.

Shady false diagnosis @ my (immigrant) fathers house. Told us pipes in front of house were offset causing backup. We might as well clear sewer pipe entire way to street ($20k). You gotta be kidding...stop. got new plumber who found backup was actually in house. What a scam attempt!

Poor job clearing a 4-inch underground main sewer line in January 2019. Their plumber said that it was better to not use a cutter/blade on the end of the snake because if you cut the roots out of the line, they will grow back even faster, just like cutting hair. (...yeah, well the best plumbers I've hired over the past 20 years all removed roots when they clogged sewer lines.) Also, two weeks before writing this review, I sent them a note AND called asking that a representative of Rooter Hero call me. Crickets. Find another company who will do the job right and won't try to up-sell you, and who will get someone in authority to call when you ask. This company failed on all 3 counts.

These guys are complete crooks.  I still can't believe these people can live with themselves.

Our washing machine was leaking so we called these guys out to fix the problem.  They tried to rooter it but said they couldn't go in far enough because something was stuck.  Oh, and they scratched my brand new cabinets while doing this.  They didn't even have the decency to protect my cabinets or apologize for scratching them.  

They claimed they needed to remove the wall to get to the p-trap because something was stuck inside it and he needed to get it out.  It was going to cost $1,700.  Thank goodness my friend who was with me had the knowledge know this was a racket and we told him to leave.  My friend then called his plumber who fixed the problem for $150.  Ummm ... yeah, for $150.  I was shocked.  Needless to say, please please please don't use this company.  They will literally steal your money.

. I called to have a drain cleaned out After seen that a basic 75 foot max clean out was advertised fo $77.00 online. The initial experience setting up the service call seemed promising. I received a call within 15 minutes stating the plumber Pedro was on his way and would arrive in 30 to 40 minutes. A hour and a half later no Pedro. I called again & was told Pedro hit some traffic but was still  coming. It's now been 3 hours no one answers the phone & of course NO PEDRO!! I give up.

I have had a lot of plumbers over the years and these Rooter Hero guys are the worst.
They will take advantage of your problem and over inflate it to get a better deal for them
They are not to be trusted. I have some tree roots in a small section which cause problems every two years and need a rooter. These guys use scare tactics to exaggerate the extent of the problem they wanted to dig up the garden and replace a section after running a camera down it .
Since this bad taste that they left I run a couple of bottles of Foaming Root Killer down the toilet and go out for 8 hours to let it work. I do this once a year and never had a problem since and saved hundreds of dollars calling in a plumber.
STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS
There are other plumbers out there with way more integrity.

We had a whole house plumbing issue that was causing back up and flooding throughout the house, along with sewer smell. We did not know who to contact so took a chance and I'm so glad we did. I called Rooter Hero Plumbing as a last resort. I wanted a brand new toilet installed as my old one was giving me problems. I purchased my toilet from home depot who has their own installation team. They wanted almost $400 for installation. I called Rooter hero Plumbing after calling 4 other plumbers to get prices and quotes. They sent out a Tech for FREE which was something I couldn't find anywhere, and did the installation within the hour!. Donald came out and was very polite, friendly, engaging and very knowledgeable even though my toilet gave him a hard time. Thanks rooter hero for having a great tech like Donald come to my rescue.

My experience with Rooter Hero can simply be described as disappointing.  It was a routine service call that I make yearly with the purpose of trimming root growth in main drain line.  Over the years this maintenance service has prevented undesirable and disruptive drain stoppages which result in aggravation for my tenants.  After the arrival of the technician, I had to explain the nature of the service call even after already explaining it to the dispatcher earlier.  The service call was very clear yet he went through some unrelated motions to check the water pressure of our building, the age of our water heaters, the water pH and the presence of minerals in our water.  Clearly he came to sell something that I did not need.  When it came to running the snake, I asked him to use the 4-6 adjustable blade, yet he argued to use a 2 cutter blade knowing very well that the diameter of the drain was at least twice as large.  He acknowledged that the 2 blade would not trim my roots and that I should purchase from Rooter Hero an $1,100.00 hydro-jetting service for my 70 year old frail pipes.  If there is a licensed plumber whose primary line of work is main drain clearing and has a 50' to 75' power drain auger please call: 323-300-4251

1st let me say, the Tech that serviced me was very nice and professional. The reason why I wouldn't use this plumbing service is because I feel like I was overcharged for the service I was given And they didn't give me a warranty for the job. Also, the manager who came out never sent me a estimate for the suggested work that needs to be done. I feel like companies like this only want the fast money and don't care about the customer. I had technician 7354 Eddie A super cool cat, they did my mainline out in Carson some months ago. Had a backup with a tub, response rate was awfully fast. He took no less than 10 mins to get here. In and out and fixed the issue with no problems. Definitely recommend these guys to anyone.

Eddie came out and cleared out the blockage in both of my bathrooms. He was very professional, friendly, and throughly answered all thousand of my questions. This company is getting 5 stars because of Eddie. Thank you!!!

We got sucked in with the Rooter Hero coupon for fixing a toilet that did not flush correctly. A worker came out and checked to see if we had a clean-out for snaking the line. Since we didn't, the cost was set at $224 to pull the toilet off and snake down the line. There was a lot of noise snaking but the worker said he would need to go under the house to look at the pipes. After a lot of commotion my wife cleaned the access to the crawlspace. I used to fit under the house. I did not see the worker go down there but it amazed me how quickly he crawled under without getting dirty! He said it was leaking down there and called the sewer specialist who came out a few minutes later. He came in with sewer camera inspection equipment and before I knew it said there was a break in the sewer pipe that is causing back-flow pressure that is not letting the toilet flush. The sewer specialist and workman went out and wrote up 6 different cost options for repair.
    The lowest cost option was repair major damaged section of 4 sewer in front of home at the standard cost of $4,257.16 .(with 15% senior citizen discount would only be $3615.58). (1 year warranty)
    The second option included fixing drain lines under the bathroom + all of option 1  at the cost of $5858.34 / $4979.58  (1 year warranty).
    The cost went up from there with 5 or 10 year warranties.
    Option 6 was to re-pipe the whole drain system at the cost of $20,937.81 ( $17,796.88) with a ten year warranty.
     I asked the sewer specialist if I could see the picture of the break in the pipe. He said he would have to do the picture again if I gave him a USB stick to use. Then the workman said it would be another $179.00 to go up on the roof and do the picture.  I told them to wrap it up and that I would do some more estimates. It was put together without a new wax ring.
  The next day I called Ernie's Plumbing of Gilroy.  They immediately determined that the pressure assisted Mansfield toilet was the problem and I had a choice of fixing the toilet or getting a new one. Since we are getting up in age we sprung for an ADA Standard Toilet and new flange.
All for around $800. I learned my lesson with regard to plumbers.

She called and they told her that they would be here between 0900-1100, Eric & Greg showed up at 0930 with all their COVID PPE on(masks, booties, gloves, etc). They found the problem and fixed it in no time. The estimate was on point and the guys were so nice and professional. You have found a customer for life with us. Thanks for everything.

Performance a far cry from what they advertise.  Was given a 3 hour window for arrival & then received a call telling me no technicians were available.
Why would they spend so much $$$ on ads when they can't provide service?
Rooter Zero!

Rooter Hero scammed me out out of $14,000 dollars. They claim to have high standards and exceptional service but they take advantage of people dealing with stressful plumbing situations. They lied, used fake images and videos to scare me into believing that I needed major sewer line repairs. Unfortunately, I believed them and signed a $14K contract. After signing, the RH technician said to me that RH overcharges for this job by $5-$6K. Because of this, I reached out to RH customer service and management for help, including RH Owner John Akhoian, who did not help and did not return my calls. So, with no help and no further reply from RH management, the job continued. Later that day, the RH technician tried to escalate the job and price even further to $90K this time. I said No, we can't afford it. He then said that they offer financing so we can make payments. I refused but he wouldn't let me out of the $14K contract. He later claimed to be able to go ahead with the $14K contract afterall. In the end, they did not complete the work in 3 days as promised. 8 days later, RH claimed the work was complete and required full payment. This turned out to be another lie, it actually took 3 months for RH to finally complete the job that I had already paid for months earlier. I had to call week after week to get RH to follow through. I spoke to manager after manager, up to the COO John Bergeron to get the work completed. During this additional 3 months, one RH manager identified additional poor quality work that had to be redone, which also revealed another lie made by the original the RH technician regarding an existing drain clean-out. After this, that RH manager offered a $5,400 refund in exchange for a Google review. I am still waiting for that refund.

I was so lucky I called Rooter Hero snd spoke with a nice lady named Joanna.
She dispatched Jesse Sanchez to my house. He arrived in a timely manner.
Jesse from the first of an eight day project , was so polite, informative and I could tell right away he was passionate about his job. He always gave me a chance to ask questions and to give criticisms ( there were none).
He also had a crew of Luis, Chad and Jeremiah who were also hard workers.  Thy all respected my property and my garden. They worked hard all day and always cleaned up before leaving each day. I really appreciated that. With a job this big for me, trusting the crew was huge.
Also Robert was very patient with me in explaining his estimates so that I understood all parts of the job. He even showed me pictures through their camera to show the wear and tear that I had in the system . No one wants to need a job like mine but at least I was confident in the technicians that were here.
All of these guys are an asset to your company !!!
I am totally satisfied with the project that was completed here.
I will for sure keep Rooter Hero on my contacts and I will always request Jesse Sanchez for my projects

I thought I had a clogged bathroom sink. It turned out that the old plumbing in the house was cracked and leaking into the wall and underneath the house. I have a 3 month old and was not looking forward to dealing with this issue. The team that responded was very organized and clean. They were also extremely considerate of my needs, especially since there was a baby in the house. The Supervisor Jeff helped communicate directly with my landlord to make sure there was no confusion and the issues could be addressed. In the future I will use them for any major or minor repairs.

Rooter hero saved the day for us.  Our kitchen sink backed up and my husband couldn't clear it with the tools we had.  We called several plumbers but no one could come out for several days.  He found the add for Rooter Heros and the call center woman said they could be out by 9pm ( it was 5pm at the time!).  We were thrilled.  They also quoted us a great price.  Anton was our plumber that came out.  He was quite and went straight to work.  I'm a talker and got a smile out of him after a bit.  He was professional,  pleasant and got rhe job done.  He cleaned up afterwards too!  Thank you Rooter Hero for the quick response and we will definitely call you again if wr need additional service.

My toilet broke down and stopped working ....  so I called Rooter Hero Plumbing to have someone come out and fix it. The dispatcher said they would locate a technician and have him call me for a time of arrival.  Spoke with Gilbert, and he arrived when he when he said he would.  Explained my dilemma to Gilbert, he understood... got the parts that were needed to fix my toilet.... replaced everything that needed replacing. And now my toilet is as good as new !  Thanks Gilbert !!  Job well done !!

I would give a zero if I could. This place is a total rip off. I paid 5500, they did not diagnose the problem let alone fix it. They dug a huge hole and did not come back to backfill. They left my bathroom a complete mess. Contacted the 800 number, they told me I would get a response. I haven't got on so far. Never ever ever do business with a so called professional  business. I thought they would take care of the problem with the amount that I paid.

Eddie came in today I had a clogged sink which would overflow and the smell was terrible he was very professional and fixed my sink highly recommend.

Couldn't find a plumber that could come out immediately for an emergency.  Called rooter hero they sent Eric.  He was super cool.  Knowledgeable, professional, and got the job done in no time!  Eric is my new plumber going forward.

A couple of weeks ago, I had guests arrive on a Sunday evening from Portland for a 2 week visit.  All was well until they wanted to take showers and the water didn't go down quickly.  We quickly realized there would be worse things happening if we didn't get a plumber out but what plumber wants to work on a Sunday night.  I was lucky.  When I called, Rooter Hero sent out Evan who showed up within an hour of my call, was pleasant and went to work.  He was efficient, made sure I understood what he was doing, made some suggestions for the future and cleaned up the area before he left.   The company did what it promised, Evan was great and my guests enjoyed the 2 weeks they spent at my home.  If it wasn't for Evan, this visit would likely have turned into a nightmare - Thanks to Evan and the company!

Total Scam Artists! The kitchen sink in my 2nd story Townhouse wouldn't drain. 10/13/18 They quoted me one price over the phone. The Plumber Lamont comes to my house to snake my drain. Says he has to charge extra (from 77 to 95) to remove the standing water from my sink (which I was fine with and understood). He does so, and then proceeds to snake my drain. Several hours later, he says used the entire length of his 75ft snake and didn't find an obstruction, and says that the obstruction must be further down the line my only other option is to immediately get their six hundred dollar jetter option to completely clear the line. I was hesitant because I knew that didn't sound right...then he kept trying to pressure me, saying that if the line wasn't cleared immediately it could leak into the garage downstairs and cause more damage. I still declined and he kept being pushy...saying his manager could maybe get it down to 550. I declined again and finally he packed up to leave. I hand him my credit card (thinking I only had to pay 95 dollars) and the bill was 195!!!! I told him that he told me 95 outside and he insisted that he didn't. We went back and forth a few times before I finally wanted him out of my house so I just paid the 195 so he would leave. I basically paid 195 to have water sucked out of my sink. The next day I called a plumber a friend had referred. He came out, could tell instantly the problem was In the relief line (saying that any REAL plumber would of known that...especially with townhouses) he snaked the relief pipe...only using 30 feet of snake and cleared the obstruction. Then he told me that the Rooter Hero plumber was obviously lying because the relief line was only 15 feet below the kitchen sink and he only used 30 feet from there... meaning there was NO WAY he used 75 feet of snake and didn't hit anything. the good plumber was here for 40 minutes, and charged me 60 dollars. DONT USE ROOTER HERO!!

Stop continuing to defend your terrible service. The staff admitted no one was showing up after they lied that someone would be coming.

Nadel and Sean drove 1.5 hours on a Sunday to clear a main line. They were very polite, considerate, did a clean and proper job. Removed an reset a toilet to cable the line. My only complaint with the company was that I clearly advised the dispatcher that there was no ground level clean out on the portion of the clogged line and the only access was through the roof vent. When the technicians arrived they advised they were not made aware of this fact and that because of liability reasons were prohibited from climbing on the roof to clear the line, thus the necessity to remove a toilet. Not a major deal, but the job was more expensive than I had anticipated.....regardless, it all worked out. Again, Nadel and Sean were great to work with.............

This business is garbage they overcharge on their service and will lie through their gills just to make a extra buck off of your problems,  Do yourself a favor and shop around at different businesses and compare prices before this business tries to rob you.

In spite of any 5 star reviews received by this company, I am horrified by the treatment I received in May, 2018 and continue to find them unethical and rude in 2019. In 2018, I was desperate for a water heater and Rooter Hero was only too glad to accommodate me, but with price gouging. I hadn't had time to do my due diligence, but did so after the fact. I called around and got 3 estimates that were less than half of what they charged me. Actually, if you go online for prices, they are well less than half of what I paid. In fact, no one charges anywhere near for a water heater what they charged me. After I did my homework, I attempted to have conversations with the company and though the assistant continually said someone would contact me, they never did. At the time, I just didn't think to go to Small Claims Court.

But, after what has transpired in the past few weeks (Jan.-Feb. 2019), I will. Out of the blue, I received a phone call from Lyndee who said they were reviewing my business with Rooter Hero, that they were under new management and there was a new manager named Alex who would call me. After a week of not hearing from him, I contacted Lyndee and told her. She checked with him and he said he had called me yesterday and left a voicemail. I did not receive his voicemail so I made sure Lyndee had my correct number. I still did not hear from him so I contacted Lyndee again who said he would call later that day. He didn't. Next I heard from his assistant who wanted to once again review what had happened in May. She signed off saying he would call the next day. When I didn't hear from him again, I contacted Lyndee again, saying I felt disrespected. I have not heard from any of the aforementioned individuals. This is not a business to be recommended.

I'm writing to acknowledge the awesome service I received from Joey and (Matthew) today.  I have had issues with my shower head for a couple of weeks now, I tried various things such as clr, cleaning the screen, and every do-it-yourself troubleshooting possible.  He came in with the right attitude and disposition.  He was on time, ready to work,  courteous, clean, respectful, and above all cared about my issues. He took time to look at appliance issues to confirm they were not plumbing related. When he was doing the showerhead work, he called in for backup and that's when Matthew arrived. They took a genuine interest in resolving my issues and my showerhead is flowing better than ever!!! :) I was thrilled with the work and they gained my confidence so much that I asked for estimates for future plumbing work that will be part of a bigger project!  THANK YOU Joey and Mattew. I will definitely call back for future plumbing needs.  Oh and they cleaned up before leaving to make sure things were left how they found it and even asked if I had any other plumbing questions or concerns before they left.  It just so happened that I did and STILL, Joey and Matthew checked my dishwasher to make sure that I needed an appliance repair person vs a plumber!  Great teamwork guys!  Thank you for caring about your customers. It was a pleasure having these two guys because you could tell they love the work that they do!

So i gave this company a one star because i had to . So one of the  Technicians came  06/27/2018. So i thought i need to put in a sweat value now remember i don't know I'm not sure I'm not a plumber at all. He came as nice as he can be  he checked every thing and said i need single handle seat value and shower trim. Well he gave a me a price to do the job he said 1900 to do it. If my sister didnt call me back i was going to do it. I called a plumber as well he said he would do it for 700 remember I'm going off what he told me i needed (that was a lie ). Well thank God for my brother he called me later on  i told him what was going on he  said go to home depot get a  Cartridge that all you need ...funny thing is i thought i could trust him he was going to come tomorrow and fix what he said that was wrong with the shower because It was late i was going to buy my own parts .i didn't need what he said i  just need cartridge this is . I called a few plumbers in the morning explained what was going and they said the same thing what my brother said ..wow so since I'm a woman lie and take my hard earned money !!! Never ! estimate that gave me was crazy and the lie was to.
Needless to say I'm going with another place ..just to let you know my shower didnt need a sweat value ..it need a cartridge and it works perfectly

Pedro from Rooter Hero was very helpful and quick in the repair. Within an hour, he was able to fix the drain for an affordable rate. Highly recommend them!

Leo was great abs cams within 30 minutes of calling. Friendly and quick! He returned the next day when we had another issue and fixed it quickly.

A minority Female own local nail shop in Pasadena had water flood from floor sink, trying to fix and remedy the situation immediately and got hold of a technician from rooter hero. It's sad I have to give 1 star out of 5 as a business owner, how upset I am can not describe 1000's of their 1 star review and  I feel obligated to share my recent experience with rooter hero with yelp community, and hoping that I am the last victim to go thought this, and should never let this happen to any desperate small business owner nor to any female who doesn't have plumbing knowledge.

A technician who came out first suggested that I run water leak detection and that I should also have a restoration company to come out so that they can start cleaning up the place so the business that has been destroyed from the water ( the whole vinyl floor was wet and needed to be ripped off, dried ) can start operate soon.

One of the restoration company I called and found from yelp was able to come out pretty quick but the technician from rooter hero refused to work with them and explained to me that he has a protocol and he has a specific restoration company that he is only comfortable working with.( later I found out that the plumber gets very high Referal fee)

While waiting for the crews from restoration company come out, he said the water detection will cost $950 and he suggested that I run hydrojet for all faucets (I had 6 faucets for pedicure bowl) which will cost me additional $1600 to clean up the pipe.

I was desperate and fix the immediate situation with water, I agreed to sign and he quickly handed me his IPad with no explanation rather than that is for agreeing with service fee, nothing was left for me to read or explained, and I signed. At first I refused to do hydrojet, and He told me that he can provide me a discount and asked me how much I was willing to pay for the hydrojet service. I explained to him that my recent hydrojet service I received for other location costed me $120 and agreed to pay $350 to run hydrojet.

The whole cleanup was moving forward with the restoration company and the  plumber from rooter hero came back and was trying to clean up the pipe. The plumber came back to me and asked me that I might have an issue with my drain pipe under concrete, he doesn't know where the blockage is coming from and that his jet wouldn't pass certain point.  He suggests me to run an inspection camera to find out where the source of water flood.

I asked him what the cost will be, and he said it will be $5800 for jackhammering the concrete and that the cost doesn't include fixing the pipe. I was shocked to hear how expensive it was,and he started explaining to me that it will not be part of my expense but the insurance company or the landlord should cover it because none of it was my fault. I was very desperate, felt like my time and effort had been vested, desperately wanting to restore, remedy situation as fast as I can. He elaborately explained to me that insurance or the property manager must cover this expenses because none of it should be my fault, it's an accident and the pipe most likely at fault is underground, drain pipe, structural issue. I called the property management company, he explained the situation to the property manager, but the property manager quickly told him she will not do anything but if the fault is found in landlord's responsibility, then she will send her vendor to investigate.

He insisted that I move forward with the service knowing how desperate I was, but I explained to him I would like to get a second opinion. That day, He ended up accidentally leaving the sink faucet open after his attempt to hydrojet which caused further water damage. Not only he couldn't complete the service but also the sink faucet pipe left unhook, the water ended up coming out, and extended an extra day of the dehumidification process.

After trying to get different quotes for the pipe inspection, I found out at no cost Jack hammering was not even necessary because there were multiple access points they could run camera without jackhammering the concrete floor and those access points were clearly visible from the floor sink there was water flood where he was attempting to administer hydro jetting.

After-all, my total expenses were $1300 with no pipe cleaning, no camera inspection, charged for services that was not needed - water detection.

Do not ever work with this dishonest, unscrupulous with absolutely no integrity plumbing company.  Technicians/plumbers are commission shared with no set pricing in place, their business model is set to try to charge customers as much as you can get away with it, take advantage of their unfortunate situation with no sympathy at all.

Jaime Topete was on time and quick to diagnose the problem. He gave us some good options and was completely honest and upfront about costs. I'd definitely Jaime and Rooter Hero for any household plumbing needs. We'll be calling them again, but hopefully no time soon.

I had a stopped up sink and I called Rooter Hero. They were extremely helpful and very professional. I had a Plummer at my house in less than an hour. When Leo arrived he was professional friendly and told me exactly what needed to be done. He really went above and beyond to do a great job. He was neat, clean and fast. In the end my sink is fixed, I got a great price and if I need a plumber again I know who to call.

Very disappointed with Rooter Hero's complete lack of professionalism. Things started off well and quickly went downhill. They came out and looked at my pipes and gave a verbal estimate for repairs.  I spent the next four weeks calling them everyday trying to get them to send me the estimate in writing before hiring and was repeatedly ignored.

Dispatch was usually nice on the phone but there's an obvious disconnect with technicians.  Despite telling dispatch that I was ready to hire Rooter Hero ASAP, I just need the estimate in writing, weeks went by with no response. At one point dispatch flat out told me maybe these guys just aren't right for the job.

To make matters worse, when the estimate of the job was finally sent to me weeks later, it was not only incomplete but also $2000 more than I was told at the start. I asked for the cost of the omitted work and was told they would send them ASAP. I never received them. Over a month later and 20+ phone calls, I'm finding someone else for the job and would advise anyone else to do the same.

Horrible company! If I could give them zero stars I would. They quoted me $8000 to repair a broken sewer line. My husband didnt trust them, called another company, who was able to clear out my line for $140 and found no significant damage in the line. Do not use this company!!!

Don't even bother.  This company charges double to 7x as much as other companies in Contra Costa County.  I had 5 companies come out to assess and spoke to another 3 on the phone this past week.  Most suggested a plumbing reroute for a cold water leak in the slab.  All were under 10K except this company which quoted 21K without even blinking an eye.  When I told him his quote was more than double he said, We throw in a hot water heater for free.  I told him mine was brand new, something he hadn't even noticed. They also wanted $750 for a slab leak detection.  You can get that from $95 on up but no one quoted that much except him.  I'd steer clear of these guys.  I think they take advantage of that fact that most of us are a bit anxious, scared, worried or desperate for help when we get a leak.  It's just not worth their price.

I made an appointment with these people, they never bothered to show up and when I called they said a plumber would call me in the next couple of minutes. An hr later I still hadn't heard back and called to cancel. Very unprofessional business. Do not recommend!!!!

Terrible experience. The only positive is that they were available last minute. Rooter Hero sent two techs out to our property while it was for sale undergoing inspections. One was to repair a gas leak detected during inspection and the other was to hydrojet the main sewer as a courtesy to the buyer. The urgent gas leak repair was botched and had to be redone by another plumber. The guy they sent out to hydrojet the sewer, named Fernando, was disrespectful and lied both to me and the buyers, trying to upsell all of us on expensive repairs that he had no evidence were necessary. He also fabricated a story and scared the buyers into thinking we had lied to them when we had not. Stay away.

Even after I called this company, spoke to a representative who promised me to remove my number from their list, I still received another call today. This is one of those calls were your phone rings for a split second and it goes right to voicemail. Not sure what technology they're using to do this but this is very invasive and I plan on taking legal action against this company.

Problem - I had a backed up sewer line at one of the worst moments I can have a backed up a sewer. My daughters birthday on a Friday between 2-4pm. Not sure the time. Well I contacted Rooter Hero and I'm glad I did.

Technician - Leo was my hero for that weekend. He came out charged me $77 through a clean out and even told me there is no additional charge for coming out on the weekend which is a huge plus.

He offered me a free camera inspection which he came out with his supervisor. Offered me several options to repair or maintain the line. I didn't choose either but at least they gave me good advise on how to properly maintain my line so I won't have any huge expenses in the future.

Overeall - I will definitely contact this company for any future projects. Now that I know I have a huge problem with my sewer I will be setting money aside to make sure it doesn't turn into a huge burden.

AVOID !!!!! These people are true criminals. They came out, my sink was clogged, that is it!!!  They tried to convince me that I had a broken pipe that needed to be replaced - they used a camera and showed where it was broken.....
The said I needed work done which added up to almost $10,000.
And they wanted to start the following day.
The next day I got a second opinion and the plumber snaked my sink for 100 bucks. everything was fixed!!!
YES, it was 100 dollar fix,  not almost TEN THOUSAND!

This company claimed that they have emergency services (EMERGENCY SERVICES We know plumbing problems happen at all hours, that's why we offer 24 hour emergency plumbing and drain cleaning services with no overtime charges.  As they advertised on the web),  but they never had any one available.  But we need to make appointment. (We tested by randomly calling many times from different phones, but never success)

2. This company never delivered services as promised.
I called for emergency service because of the leaking water damaging my floor and carpet.  They told me that no one was available and made the appointment on the next day from 9 am - 11 am. After waiting till 11 am, I called 3 times to follow up. They kept promising to call back, but no one showed up or called back.   I had to call them again the 4th time. The person on the phone said that some one was coming before 2 pm. After 2 pm. I called back to follow up and they said that the technician 's on his way ... I told them to cancel ... but at 2:30 pm he showed up I gave him a chance to do his job.  He spent another 45 minutes to get the part and came back. But he couldn't finish the job because he didn't have proper tool to fix the problem and made another appointment next day from 8-9 am. After taking another day off work, no one showed up. Called again at 930 am and the person said the technician had to drop the tool off at another place and promised they will arrive before noon. No one showed up, and no one called to update us.  The technician showed up at 1215 pm

3. Each time we called, the person answering was 90% of the time rude and unprofessional. They always say they will call back and never call back. They always act and sound annoyed or rush to get off the phone instead of trying to help us with the problem.

4. The technician was very nice, but was not properly trained. They did a lousy job (I had to cleanly remove the old seal and properly resealed the base of the toilet myself).  It was extremely dirty after they finished and also damaged the toilet seat. Before the arrived we explained the whole problem (Need to replace Wax ring of the leaking Toilet) , yet they didn't bring any tools and wasted our time more.  

5. Most importantly, The management and customer service was horrible and unprofessional. The people answering calls including their manager, which we talked to, were disrespectful and condescending.
They did not help us with the problem at all and they don't care about the companies image. After they messed up by not showing up and moving the times repeatedly, they were just rude instead of helping us.

Took two days off work and they kept missing their promised times to arrive. I regret my choice of choosing this company. Was trying to save a couple of bucks, but lost two days pay and received horrible service.

Don't call this place. I had a hydro jet service done last month by these guys for $400 that they assured me would last at least 1-2 years.  33 days later I have the exact same plumbing issue and when I called them they told me I had a 30 day warranty that was expired. I told the manager that I guess I paid $400 for nothing. He disagreed and told me I got 30 days of clear drains. If it wasn't so absurd, I'd laugh.

Will definatley go with Rooter hero again. Eric Garcia did a great job on fixing our water line to the washer dryer. He was super clear, transparent and professional with what he was going to do. Rooter hero was very afforable. Will be call Rooter again!

Terrible customer service. Called for water heater help. I was told someone would come between 4-6pm and they showed up at 8pm. They came in, sparked the water heater, said it would work in 30 mins...and it didn't. They came back out TWO DAYS later, the technician (who was extremely rude) took another look for 2 mins, said it would cost $4000 to replace the water heater and walked away.

Never calling these guys again.

Called for an emergency draining issue at 6pm Said a technician would be out from 8pm- 10pm then they call at 7:30 said they don't have anyone. Definitely not a Rooter Hero. If you want to enjoy the super bowl game just say you're closed for the evening.

I rarely write reviews but this time it deserved it. What an amazing experience with Miguel Tellez. I had a issue with kitchen sink backing up.He showed up on time and took care of the issue. Explained to me what was wrong and also how to prevent it in future. And all this with a smile. I tried to tip him but he did not take it saying this is his job. Where do you find people like this in this day and age. Hats off to Miguel.

My bathtub was clogged and I bought the liquid to clear out the drain but I didn't work. So, I signed the form to schedule an appointment to have my bathtub unclogged and I received a call within 10 mins and I was able to schedule my appointment for the following day. Leo came to unclog the bathtub he was very friendly and informed me why it clogged. He was very quick and efficient and I'm very happy with the service he provided.

I made an appointment with Rooter Hero for a 2-hour window after work. I got a call that they'd arrive in the later part of the 2-hour window, around 6:30 pm. An hour after that I called, and a dispatcher called back at nearly 8 pm saying they could be at my home by 8:45 pm. No apology for the inconvenience (until after I pointed it out -- at which point I got an I'm sorry, but we didn't have a lot of people working.) Every business has bad days. I see positive reviews that indicate this business also has good days. This wasn't one of the bad ones. I don't have a lot of confidence in a business that can't even let a customer know if they're going to be two hours late.

I was initially impressed with how pleasant the people were in scheduling an appointment. The plumber was also very efficient and explained the project and gave me an estimate which I thought was a bit high but I agreed to. We scheduled a time for the plumber to come. I was at another appointment when the plumber called and he left a message to call the office. When I called I was told that the Dispatch person rescheduled the appointment to a different day and time without consulting me.  I understand that the policy is if you don't answer that call your case gets pushed back. I canceled the job sine I was not available at the time they decided to give me.

I came to Rooter Hero (RH) with a leaking shower after having it inspected by another chain plumber. I suppose you could say I hired RH for a second opinion. But it truly was going to be a first opinion because my first plumber didn't diagnose the leak. I knew the cause wasn't the supply lines or a leak from the shower head because I had inspected them and isolated the problem with several tests. Tests which no plumber I've contacted so far has bothered to do themselves (they are time consuming), aside from checking the water meter to see whether the leak was in a copper pipe, which again I already knew wasn't the cause of the leak. It only happened when someone took a shower.

I wanted to definitively know what was the problem with my shower and what remedy would most directly and cheaply resolve the problem. I wasn't looking for a remodel, the shower works aside from this lousy leak. If someone could have told me the actual problem and show me, I would agree to the most comprehensive and lasting repair necessary. Instead of diagnosing the problem, I've received estimates to overkill the problem. Not cool.

So, I called on Rooter Hero to run a camera down my shower drain and p-trap so I could see where the actual problem was located, from bathroom to sewer. They answered that they could do this for me, including going through the p-trap. I couldn't observe the camera-inspection (was at work), so they called me over the phone and without sounding too alarmed, they said that my cast iron drain pipe was totally gone under my concrete slab and it required replacement from the shower to the edge of the house or sewer; they were vague. They proposed to open up and redo my floor, replace the drain pipe for some amount of feet which they couldn't specify or even give a range of, and retile the showerpan and all. They would also put in a clean-out for my shower, which would be cool but not actually fix my leak. This would all cost ~$12k. They didn't offer any alternatives upfront. I had to see this myself if it were truly necessary, it sounded dire and horrific. They didn't provide me with video or pictures from the camera run when I requested. However, they agreed to come back and run the camera again with me there, which was pretty nice of them, and there was no mention of a second charge.

Five days after the first camera, we all met at my house to run the camera again**. I sit on the front lawn and watch. They go on top of my roof, which is a significant safety risk on their part that I appreciate them taking, and stick the camera down through the bathroom vent. The video monitor that the supervisor and I watch for the entire time reads 0.0 ft, there's no recording of any of the media, not even any still pictures. The screen was half obscured the entire time, like something was stuck on the camera and they weren't going to brush it off. I saw a lack of blockages and no area where the pipe actually looked like it had failed and they didn't specifically indicate where there was a problem, other than to say that the clay sewer pipe looked fine. The camera went through the pipe rather smoothly despite its supposed horrific condition. They did not identify the specific problem. And furthermore, they completely bypassed the shower drain, they didn't run the camera through my shower like I had asked over the phone. I repeated my request in person; they said they wouldn't be able to get their camera through due to the diameter of the pipe. So the people on the phone lied to me or were mistaken.

They tried to pressure me into getting them to start work right after the camera, but I refused. I ran a test after they left and made sure it wasn't the drain pipe. I stuck a hose straight through the drain, bypassing the shower drain and pan to isolate the problem to the drain pipes, which is what RH insisted was the problem. After running that test, I didn't detect a water leak so I didn't have reason to believe that the leak was in the p-trap, or drain pipes running under the slab. I got RH to agree to a smaller repair, restricted to the shower itself, redoing the showerpan and the tile, supposedly they have a dedicated tile person, so that sounds cool, and the estimate is OK, but a little high. I suppose I could have them do that, but I don't want to give them business after they tried to dupe me into a big, unnecessary, overkill, repair.

** By the way, I had had the first plumber I mentioned run the camera inspection a month before, and the video quality was much better; it was not partially occluded, although it was black and white compared to RH's  color, but theirs was a lot sharper, overall better than RHs. Furthermore, they ran it in the same pipe and had made no comments on the state of the drain vent pipe, other than to say there were no clogs in it. They didn't offer a video or pictures but, it didn't seem necessary at the time because they didn't claim there was a dire problem like RH had.

They did an amazing job. Ask for Jose A. who was so honest and kind. He went above and beyond to get our main sewage line fixed. Thank you Jose A!!!!

Wonderful service, Miguel and Junior were excellent they tried multiple times to unclog my drain and didn't stop until they found a solution. The guys were professional and worked tirelessly through the night to get the job done.  I was given two options, but given the fact I wasn't prepared to have a plumbing issue I had to settle for the cheaper option.  The duo sweated through the fix and even waited to make sure nothing else backed up immediately. I never dealt with rooter hero before, but after the experience I had tonight I would definitely call rooter hero again for any plumbing related issues. Miguel and Junior were honest to me about the plumbing situation which goes along way when dealing with certain trades of work. I truly appreciated their help and work ethic the two men work great as a team.

Called Rooter Hero and they sent out Grant immediately! I had a kitchen sink & laundry stoppage. Grant cleared my stoppage, and gave me a VERY reasonably price! Definately will call them again!!

Art does not tell the truth about the issues...Or the work that has been done or needs to be done...
By the time Art left, the kitchen sink problem was worse than before he came...
The pipe under the sink was not an issue before his arrival...after he left the pipe was leaking like running water....
Art lied and said he went back to repair the pipe...
When I went to verify, it had not been done.... so I called him back and the story changed...
I called the office to complain and ask for someone to come repair the pipe (that was never the issue)...
They send Omar who calls Art and still nothing is repaired....
Spoke with Miguel Tellez (Operations manager) who only seemed to care that Art did not charge me...not the fact that he left my property worse than before he arrived....
Or the fact that he accepted money from  tenant and lied about not getting paid at all...
Then I spoke with Lizette (Complaints Manager)....she also reassured me that someone would be coming out to repair the pipe....
It has been another week and I have heard absolutely nothing...
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE!!

I called at 2:37PM - they gave me a 3-5PM ETA. I called at 6:15PM to see what was happening, they said would call me right back. At 7PM I called and they said my appt. was for tomorrow 9-11AM. Yeah, don't call these people unless you don't mind the run around. Unprofessional at it's finest.

I've had some bad experiences with contractors in the past but this was by far the worst.  I had a leaky exterior faucet as well as water seeping near my irrigation valves.  For some unexplained reason the plumber they sent out could not give me a straight answer for anything.  He tried to tell me that I didn't own a shut off wrench for the main.  We went back and forth a few times and I finally described it to him and he finally agreed  that I do own one.  He tried to convince me this so that I'd agree to have the entire pipe replaced from the faucet down to the ground and probably to the main since you can't connect copper to galvanized steel. (WTF.
The entire house still has galvanized steel so it's going to have to be connected to GS somewhere).  He couldn't even ballpark the cost without calling his supervisor out (again, wtf?).  Almost immediately he tried to talk me into using ygrene to finance and that they could even finance a tankless hot water system (which, of course, requires copper re-piping).  I just wanted the leaks fixed!  I told him this several times.  He tried to scare me into thinking that the leak from the irrigation valve might cause a sink hole and that someone could get injured.  My current plumber says the leak isn't that bad and was able to quote me prices for both without a hassle.  In any case, he left to use the restroom and said his supervisor was on the way.  That's when I called the company and asked him to tell him not to come back out.  10 minutes later he was at the door with no supervisor.  Why did he come to the door if his supervisor wasn't there?  This experience should be in a How not to treat a customer training video.

Con men not plumbers.  Waited all day for technician that the customer service operator kept promising was coming soon, within the hour.  Finally showed up at 4.  They said they had to open a wall to get to the problem, $2100 (that didn't include repairing the drywall).  Got another plumber who showed up earlier than promised at 8:30 pm, snaked the drain, fully cleaned up and were gone by 9.  $170 included overtime fee.  DO NOT PUT UP WITH THESE PRESSURE SALES PEOPLE.

Unfortunately, I would recommend avoiding these guys.  

I heard their commercials on the radio and when I had a clogged sink, I figured I would give them a call for their $77 drain cleaning.  When plumber went under the sink, for some reason he undid the garbage disposal and because it was old, he said it should be replaced.  I had no issue using my old garbage disposal prior to his arrival, but because he moved it, it was leaking and it needed to be replaced.  OK, I figured why not, it was old.  Well, the plumber told me it would be $920 to replace the garbage disposal.  Yes, $920 US Dollars!!! BTW, garbage disposals are $75-$100 normally and installation should be around $100-$150.  

After I said no, he said he couldn't unclog the clogged sink.  

I won't call them a total scam, but it's very shady that they offer a low price drain cleaning, and somehow a problem that did not exist before they came, now exists and costs an outrageous amount.

Outstanding job! Abraham went over and beyond to make sure all the plumbing problems were taken care of. Excellent communication, work, and answered all my questions, and gave great advice. I would definitely recommend this company to everyone. Free estimates, and reasonable prices.

I wanted to give this 5 star review for Raphael specifically.  We had Rooter Hero re-pipe our entire house but the original crew did a very very sloppy job.  They were difficult to communicate with and there were many issues on top of them not completing their job as promised.  Although it took 6 months for Rooter Hero to finally have someone come out and fix the issues we had, they finally sent us Raphael who is a supervisor.  I told him the issues we had and he fixed everything!!  He was very prompt on time and was very considerate of our situation.  Thank you Raphael!

Wow. I am SO impressed and yes, I was startled and a bit apprehensive after reading (mostly) five star reviews with the odd one star review thrown in.

I can't understand how the reviews are not all 5 stars. It's not often that you schedule an appointment (understanding there may be some delay if the repair person is running behind) and open your door to a friendly, professional, courteous person, who has exactly what is needed for the job. And ... hold on to your hat - there is no upselling, there is no but we need to tear all your pipes apart.

Seriously, this was so much more positive than I could have imagined. The quoted price for a drain was simply provided, and a guarantee.

The work was done so that there was no mess, and of course I did expect somewhat of a mess - a clogged kitchen sink issue involves water and mess, NO MESS!!!!

What is that Kanye song ... not saying you're  a golddigger so ... to paraphrase a bit - not saying those one-star reviews are fake but know that my eyes are rolling.

Companies are fairly consistent, and my experience is the same as many others who left happy five star reviews.

Ok, one no show can be excused, but two??? No way. The women who answer the phone can't reach the dispatchers who can't reach the service providers. I know they're inexpensive, but once again you get what you pay for. I'm going with a reliable plumber!

Eddie A. did a great job of unclogging my bathroom drain. He was professional, courteous and even cleaned up the mess.

Rooter Hero are our Heroes!  We had a major stoppage in our main line and needed to it to get cleaned asap.  We contacted Rooter Hero and they came within the hour to come take care of the problem.  Once we realized the problem was worst than we had predicted the RH guys gave us options and pricing on what needed to be done. We had to replace 25 feet of 70 year old pipes!  It was a big unexpected cost but it was something that needed to be done for us to be able to use our bathrooms again!  They were very professional and understanding to our situation.  They offered us financing and were able to start the replacement of the main line the following day.  Leo and Greg did an AMAZING job!  They went above and beyond our expectations.  They made sure everything was better than before it was broken.  I would recommend them 110% to all my friends and neighbors!
