Richard quoted me a very reasonable price and actually showed up and did quality work after two people canceled on me. He removed an old bathroom light/exhaust fan and installed a new one. Reasonable price, quick work, professional and respectful. Would recommend and will definitely keep him in mind for future work!!

The power in my kitchen went out over the weekend last month and no one else was available. I called Richard. He came through and fixed the problem in 10min! Talking with him while he worked, I learned how much experience and knowledge he has as an electrician.
I asked him to come back a 2nd time to replace my sockets and light switches. My house was built in 1977, and having an experienced electrician is crucial. He knew the ins and outs of all the wiring, etc. He knew EXACTLY what types of sockets we needed.
He's a pleasure to be around (great  vibes), his work quality is A+, and pricing is super fair. I'm all about quality over speed. He's 100% quality, and got the work done quickly!
By the way, he came out for the 2nd job on July 4th! Talk about commitment! I'd 100% have him back for anything else I need.

I hate leaving bad reviews for individuals trying to make a living but if I had known what I know now I never would have hired Richard.  More people need to leave their honest reviews so others can avoid feeling cheated.  Had Richard install a new doorbell/ ring system - he broke our baseplate and then charged me more than the original quote when the work was done.  He said it was for doing additional work around the house but the only additional thing I asked for that wasn't predetermined was a quote to fix a fan.  Not cool and a waste of money.  Now I need to hire someone else to fix the mess that he left at my home.

I had contacted 2 other electricians that were highly rated but never showed up and flaked on me. Richard texted me before he was on his way and arriveed 20 minutes earlier ( which was great). He was able to resolve my issue in my kitchen quickly and neatly. He was so polite and explained what was going on didn't overcharge me repaired what needed to be repaired. Very affordable & incredibly helpful. I wish I found him years ago.

Richard came out to install additional outdoor outlet and switch for some patio string lights which were hung.

He arrived within the time he scheduled and did a awesome job.

I needed to have two ceiling lights replaced and Fix a problem I was having with kitchen circuits. After reading his reviews on Yelp I gave him a call. He was very professional and direct and gave me an estimate for the job.
Doing the work he was quick, efficient, knowledgeable  being imaginative . Very pleasant personality and he explained what he was doing. I would highly recommend him.

We are trying to remodel our kitchen n need an electrician, I found out Mr. Piselli from top ten electrician list in Chula Vista area. Oh wow,  that was best thing that I did for our remodel project! Mr. Piselli advice me from phone that not making expensive change from gas stove to induction cooktop because our house isn't wired for the higher voltage, also he gave advices to how to move our new dishwasher to the other side of sink and if we need a electrician to oversee our kitchen project. We really appreciate his professional input on those important issues and very grateful for his kind, helpful advice. Now we know whom we will go to in the future if we need a qualified n trustworthy electrician.

Richard definitely deserves a 5 star rating.  He's very knowledgeable, professional, efficient, and honest at what he does. We called him to install a ceiling fan in our loft to include wiring. With that, Richard scheduled the installation within a few days with a really reasonable cost.

When he arrived, he discussed our cost options based on the location of where we wanted to place the fan with its reference to the center of the room and the beams in the crawl space.

The installation was an additional $25 for him to install a bracket for the center of the room placement of the fan if there was no beam in the location.

It turned out that after he measured everything, the beam was  5 inches from the center of the room.  Rather than charging us the $25 bracket installation fee, he asked if we were willing to save money and have him just install the fan on the beam as it would give the fan more stability based on its usage. We were definitely okay with that, even if $25 was still reasonable.

Richard installed the fan in about an hour. The work was completed neatly too.

Keep him in mind for any electrical needs in your home.

I'm sorry to say that I didn't have the same experience with Richard as others. I contacted him to get a quote to fix/replace the ballasts and to install an outlet in my garage. I also needed our transformer replaced for our low voltage landscape lights. His rates seemed reasonable but his communication skills were poor.

First,  he doesn't come by to inspect the area to see what is needed. He texted me he won't look, he just comes by to do the job.

He said if he couldn't rewire it then he would just install his LED bulbs and said his are a warm light. I said I preferred cooler/brighter lights and tried to get his guidance on buying LED lights. I figured I'd just upgrade. He wasn't very helpful in helping me figure out what I needed and didn't respond to several of my texts. I felt left to my own to figure out what I needed.

He said the outlet in the garage would need to be GFI. And he recommended I replace the landscape lights with 12w LED lights.

We agreed on a day and time (1p). He arrived at 9a when I was out of the house trying to get the replacement LED shop lights. He told my wife I had said 9a and then checked his text to see that it was supposed to be 1p. He told my wife he had other jobs and might not be able to come back.

He arrived at 2p and said he wasn't interested in doing the ballast job because the type of lights I bought would be about a 2-3hr job. He installed the outlet but when it was done I noticed it wasn't GFI. I brought it to his attention and he said it would be alright. I said he had told me it needed to be GFI and he said it wasn't a big deal because it was going to be behind my work bench and I don't have any little kids who could get to it. Does that sound right?

Transformer was installed without issue. But then he told me he didn't have enough wire connectors to do the landscape LED bulbs. He said he'd save me some money and show me how to do it.  He installed one bulb and it was teally bright! Somewhat my own fault for not checking the lumens (900 each light, and there's 8 of them), but I was following his advice.  If he had bothered to see the space first, or ask me about it,  then I would hope he would have noticed it wasn't a big space that needed that much light. We just needed ambient lighting.

Lastly he overcharged me. I paid him, but then realized the error later. I texted him and he should have owed me $60 based on original quote.  But he said the outlet was more since he didn't do the ballasts. He didn't tell me that after he said he wasn't interested in doing that job. He said he'll stop by when he's in the area (to pay me $35). We'll see.

Very frustrating. I value my time and also respect others' time. I wanted to be sure to have everything in place and do it right the first time.  I try to do my homework and make the best choice for our home. So now I'm left with a job undone and outdoor lights that need to be returned.  I'm not a confrontational person and just tend to chalk it up as lesson learned. Felt strongly enough to write this review and hopefully others won't have the same experience.

I called Richard to get a quote for a light that was flickering in my kitchen. He was able to diagnose the problem over the phone. We tried out his recommendation and it solved our problem! He was very professional and friendly over the phone. His honesty and free advice saved us from spending unnecessary money had it been a dishonest company. Thanks Mr. Piselli!

Good electrician to hire if the job is very simple.  I had taken a day off from work to have Richard install fans, he was committed until he peeked in the attic.  The wiring installation was not complicated, it only required 2-3 hours of work for the next electrician.  

If I gave you a clear description of what was needed and what was involved prior to a actual visit, it's not cool to cancel because it's not a very simple job.  Simple means a quick job, pocket 350 in an hour and run.  Taking time off work is challenging and there's a cost factor in addition to paying for your services.

This is my 3rd time using Richard, and my 3rd time updating my review. The support that he provides is really awesome. This time I needed a couple of light fixtures and an outlet (GFI) that I could not do myself. He came out and took the time to see what work I needed done, and gave me a great quote. There were a few other things that I needed done that he said I could do myself, and he took the time to show me how to do it and helped me out. Then we set up a time for him to come back a week later to do the other work that I needed him to do....he was there when he said he would be, and did amazing work, super quick. Richard is awesome...I will never use another electrician again. I have a whole list of things that he is coming back to do for us.

Total professional! Mr. Piselli really went above and beyond the original request to install a ceiling fan. He noticed there was something off with the light switch wiring, fixed it AND left it better than he found it. That is rare these days, my friends! Highly recommend his services. Richard's five star reviews are well-deserved! He is reasonably priced and very responsive to phone calls. We tried to DIY some fancy-ish light switches (timers, automatic sensors, etc) and ended up screwing up the electricity in our guest/office room and guest room bathroom. He is busy so he wasn't able to get us in right away, but when I initially called him he told me how to do some simple troubleshooting over the phone. Only when it became apparent his services were necessary did he come over (i.e. He didn't want to charge us if we could fix it ourselves).  

He was a couple hours late getting to our place unfortunately but when he arrived he apologized, got working right away and solved our problem lickety split. Watching this guy work, you can tell he knows his stuff. We had asked a different electrician (who has all five star reviews on Yelp...) to check out the problem the week prior and give us an estimate and after hemming and hawing over the situation with his partner for two hours he just looked more confused. He gave us an outrageous quote and told us he would have to add a whole new electrical line! That made zero sense to us because the existing wiring had been working fine for us before we decided to try and DIY install some fancy-ish new light switches (which was a mistake - next time we will probably just call Richard, haha).

No such nonsense with Richard.  He gave me a rough estimate right over the phone after asking me a few questions, then when he got here he chatted happily with us to explain what he was doing while he was working and (almost) everything was working probably less than an hour later.

There were a couple things that didn't get fixed while he was here and I'll update our review once those two items are (hopefully) fixed.  With anyone else the tardiness and the two problems remaining would have probably resulted in a lost star or two.

However, Richard is a great communicator. He kept me in the loop when he realized he was going to be late, and the two issues that weren't fixed were due to us not having parts that will be easy for us to grab from Home Depot and plug and play (hopefully, if Richard is right about what is going on).  Richard got the difficult stuff out of the way and now our guest room/office/office bathroom has lights.  He also reassured us he could help us if there are any further issues with the remaining two small problems.

Richard was very clear about price before the job began, arrived 15 minutes early and completed the job in short order.  Richard was friendly and professional and a lot less expensive than other electricians I researched.  Home run baby!

Richard installed 3 ceiling fans with j boxes after we had a bad experience with another said to be electrician.  Richard was knowledgeable and professional.  Everything was explained well with the different options and his prices are competitive.  Would definitely use him for any future jobs!

I heard of Richard from good reviews on NextDoor so I gave him a try to install a ceiling fan. Richard communicated well, came on time on the day he said he would and his price was fair and reasonable. He worked efficiently and was clean. Just had a whole-house project completed by Richard & could not be happier.  During our first meeting, Richard arrived promptly, brought his ladder to fully evaluate the house & provided a very fair estimate.  

In one day, Richard completed the electrical wiring, switches & light fixture installations in five different rooms.  There were no surprises & the work was performed according to our initial meeting.

Richard has been in my home twice to install a total of 3 chandeliers.

Each time he is professional, courteous, good small talk, always asks for my opinion and he knows what he is doing.

The first time I called him he was able to squeeze me in next day and the second time I called he made himself available on a Saturday.

He charges a reasonable rate for installation as well (about $120-$125).

I think it's great to support small businesses, Richard works out of the Chula Vista area but he is willing to do work anywhere in San Diego.

Had a minor (translation: user stupidity) problem that fritzed my outdoor outlets right before a big party.
When I couldn't reach my usual electrical guy, I turned to Yelp for a recommendation. Richard understood the urgency, so he  came as soon as he was free.
Paying a professional to troubleshoot something simple may not be the most satisfying experience, but it's WAY better than fretting over the polite way to ask the neighbors if the band that will be annoying them at the party they weren't invited to, can run extension cords to their house.
Richard is funny and engaging.  He was very gracious about showing me what I did, so I wouldn't do it again.  He was here and done quickly, having solved my problem and taken a load off my mind.  Will definitely use Piselli Electric in the future.

This is without a question my go to guy.

I'm a new homeowner.  Bought a condo and upgrading EVERYTHING.  For my kitchen I installed a free hanging hood after knocking down some cabinets, but the wiring didn't work.  I had quotes for 300, 150, and 98.  Richard told me 65 and that he most likely would be able to diagnose and fix within 15-20 mins.  

He came, fixed it in 20 mins, and even helped me attach the hood to the brackets.  I gladly paid him his fee, plus bought him lunch.

I can't recommend him enough based on his customer service, reliability, and HONESTY.

Next up is a home automation project. (Wiring up EVERYTHING, so I can control and monitor via my iphone.)  Richard will be back for me.

Needed an emergency electrician and Richard came to my rescue!  Found the faulty outlet and was able to restore service to my home!   Honest, reliable and priced fairly!   He is licensed, bonded and insured.

This guy was awesome!  We hired him based on yelp reviews & plus every company I called were way overpriced.  He quoted us over the phone and his price was very reasonable. He installed ceiling fans in our bedroom and living room. Was very nice, efficient, on time, and he even had covers for the furniture. He did however let us know that since we didn't have a j - box that there would be holes he would have to make, which sucks but he explained to us how to patch it up and even gave us a box of screws. Oh & when I tried to tip him but he gave it back to us and told me to buy something for my Lil ones who were running around everywhere HA!  :)  very sweet man! Richard installed a ceiling fan in our dining room and we were very pleased.  When my husband first called Richard he was very helpful in answering questions and giving advice on choices of fans and what we would need.  We had an existing ceiling fan with lighting and we wanted to change the style. We were trying to avoid the pool chain on the fan and light, so Richard suggested a remote that goes on the wall.   Richard was punctual and very neat.  He used a drop cloth before installing the fan.  After he arrived he noticed the remote we had was not compatible to the fan.  He suggested my husband go to Home Depot and exchange the remote while he installed the fan.  Richard gave my husband all the information necessary.  When my husband was at Home Depot the sales associate told him there was no such remote and more work needed to be done to install this remote.  My husband called Richard from Home Depot and told him what the sales associate told him, and Richard asked to speak to the sales associate and explained what we needed.  It took not more than 2 minutes for Richard to explain to the sales associate what we needed.  The sales associate then realized that Richard knows what he's talking about.  Richard installed both the fan and remote in less than two hours.  He is very knowledgeable, professional, polite and knows his stuff!  He walked us through on how to operate the remote and asked if we wanted him to explain it to us again until we felt comfortable.  The fan came out beautiful.  We haven't had any trouble.  I've already lined him up for other work we need done in our new kitchen and will definitely recommend him to family and friends.  The price he quoted us never changed and it was very reasonable.

Richard is awesome!!!!! He came to my house and within 20 minutes had identified and fixed the problem. The other 10 minutes he spent explaining why we had the problem in the first place. The one thing  that stood out besides his fast work was his attention to detail and safety. Long story short I got my hand slapped! (Literally) I recommend this guy 100%.

Richard provided excellent customer service. We had a party yesterday and after the jump house was plugged in and a number of electric appliances were going, we lost power on half of our house. The circuit breaker seemed fine. Called Richard Sunday morning, gave us some tips over the phone and we are good to go now. He couldve just came out and made an easy $150. Instead he was honest with us and saved us some money. When we have a more serious electrical problem down the road, we will definitely be giving him a call.

HONEST & Ethical. Asked Richard to come to my home and install gfci outlets. He even went and purchased them all about (18) prior to arriving to my home. When he came and inspected my outlets, prior to installing, he informed me that it would not be in my best interest to install and spend the extra money. Who does that? Even after the hassle of making him go purchase the outlets and drive down to my home. He still advised me not to do it because it would not make financial sense for me. I offered to pay him a trip charge for hassle but he wouldn't take it. Sorry for making you drive and buy outlets and I sincerely appreciate that you put your customers interest first, thanks.

What is it about the words install and ceiling fan that warrants an immediate $200 quote?  I called 5 electricians who gave me the same quotes - $200 and I'll probably need a new box since it's an older home so that will be extra.  Of course it will be.

Thank you for helping me find Richard, Yelp.  He was super nice on the phone, stated the box will most likely withstand the ceiling fan, but will check it out when he gets there and quoted me $75.  He arrived, was done within 45 minutes, and took the time to show me how to use the controls.  Will definitely call him again for other electrical projects.

Mr. Piselli is an amazing person. I thought I needed a new circuit breaker switch. He looked at our panel, switched the switch off then back on again (which I had already done but I guess I don't have that Midas touch). He then left without even writing the job up or asking for his $125 fee. Another thing that I'm impressed with is he didn't try to up-sell anything or make it seems like we were in potential danger if we didn't do this or that. Thank you very much, Mr. Piselli. It's nice to know that there are still people out there who don't feel the need to charge an arm and a leg for something so minor.

We needed to install 3 ceiling fans in 3 rooms without ceiling electrical installation,
I got a quote from de Home Depot Installation services and they wanted to charge me $250 for each fan. I quoted with other 2 electricians and they quoted me $200 for each fan. I spoke to Richard and he suggested I could save money by controlling the fans only with the remote. He charged me $150 for each fan, was always on time for our appointments and did an excellent job.
I would definitely call Richard again for any future electrical work around my house.

We've gone two years with no electricity in one of our rooms because we were told that we would need a new panel and it would cost us almost $10K to do. I had Richard come out so that we could get a real estimate and he fixed the problem in under 10 minutes. All we needed was a new breaker and to have the connection moved. Husband wanted to go with another electrician but after reading all the positive reviews on Yelp, I talked him into calling this place.  It's been a week now since I left a voicemail with my name and number and no return call.  This is truly unprofessional.

Richard was amazing. I had a number of issues I needed to deal with, and I've already had a number of electricians out to try to deal with it. Others were not able to handle some of my issues, but Richard has a lot of experience and common sense, so he was able to figure out solutions to everything. Best part is that he does not make the job bigger than it needs to be.

I called Richard to setup an appointment and get a quote on some work I needed done.

He came in on time and saw what I needed to do and came up with a few recommendations. He was attentive, courteous, flexible and knowledgeable. After we agreed on the work that would be done and the quote, he said he could return that very same day in the afternoon and do the work.

Had some questions about running new coaxial lines and called Richard.  This was not within scope for him but he spent a good 30 minutes on the phone talking to me about his recommendations and then sent me the contact of someone who could help.  His expertise was very helpful, very easy person to talk to.  This is great customer service even though he did not provide the services I was asking for.  Thank you!

I called Richard based on fellow yelp reviews. I needed to install 2 ceiling fans before summer. I was quoted $190 per installation and scheduled for the following week. Upon arrival Richard inspected the area and determined it would be difficult to access due to dry wall and if he was to do the work it would result in several holes in our ceiling. In the end he was unable to do the work and told us to give him a call if we needed anything else. I give him 3 stars for his quick response, scheduling, and consultation.

Perfect service and true professional.  This is the second time I used Richard P.   This time I had him install 2 ceiling fans.  It was simple, I buy the fan and if I want a remote buy it and he installs it.  He quoted me $150 a fan. $50 more if I want it wired to the switch and an extra $25 if he had to use a bracket.  Luckily for me the stud was very close to center in both rooms, no extra charge.  I bought the universal remotes he suggested from wal mart and he hooked them up. He did throw the disclaimer down that if the ceiling in the attic was too low he can't do the job. I would rather him do that, than do something that can mess up my house. Obviously, he can't see my attic from a phone conversation.  Luckily there was enough room for him. Well everything worked out great, fans a running perfect and I'm happy.  Don't think twice, give Richard a call for a quote.

Only electrician to return my call in a 24 hour period, on a Saturday. Showed up on time and quickly found/fixed the problem for a reasonable fee.

I have been having problems with my outlets at home for quite some time now. Replaced the GFCI and that wasn't the problem, so I called Richard because he had such great reviews on Yelp. He arrived on time and showed me that the wires in my circuit breaker panel were fried and that it was wired wrong. He rewired everything and placed the breakers correctly, and with no problem. I was charged the quoted amount on the phone and it was a good price. I highly recommend Richard and will call him again if I need him.

I called RPE based on the Yelp reviews with a problem I was having thinking it was going to cost me like a hundred dollars but when I gave him a call he walked me through the issue and it didn't cost me a penny. I'm wary of calling electricians in general because of how little I know of the stuff.  Unfortunately in the process of placing nails/screws into walls, I severed on of my power cable that ran along the stud.  

Called Richard for help after reading some positive reviews.  Richard was informative and friendly.  He spent the time to give me advice over the phone and actually gave me enough information to figure the problem out on my own.  Nonetheless, I asked him to come and fix it for me because personally I just don't like electrical work.

He was fast and efficient.  Pricing was reasonable and the extra parts were not any more than what would cost me at HomDepot had I bought them myself.

If I ever have problems with electrical stuff in the future, I would definitely call Richard for his expertise.

Called Richard up on Monday to see if he could come out and install a ceiling fan in my living room.  He also had to hook up power since I didn't already have a light in that spot that the fan would replace.  He gave me a quote over the phone and scheduled to come out the next day to do the install.  Showed up a few minutes early and installed the fan with 0 problems.

Richard installed all new wiring to our garage for a washer and dryer for our rental unit behind our house. He was prompt in arriving, provided options for pricing and wiring and did a great job! He vented the dryer and it works great. We will be contacting him again to inquire about adding  recessed lighting in our living areas and master bedroom. Would definitely recommend him and his work!

I admit I am spoiled by modern conveniences and the need for electricity at my house is constant and ever growing.  So when  the lights go out , it's an immediate freak-out for me.  I waited and checked the neighborhood and the fusebox and neither had the answers I needed, so I called a friend and he suggested I call this electrician to find out the root cause of my power failure.  This guy showed up the following day and did a basic inspection and left me an itemized, prioritized list of what would be required. As owner of an old dwelling with original wiring, I knew this day would come, we'll work on this list over the next few months and be in great shape

Super contractor! Texted him at 6:45 a.m. when I realized my siding would be down and this was a great time to upgrade my electrical. Asked him if he could come and look at what needed to be done and give me an estimate. He came at about 9 a.m., he said it was 12 gauge and fine as it was. The only thing needed he said, was the ground wires (in 3 outlets) needed to be tucked into the box. The siding/electrical contractor (Invictus Veritas Construction (IVC), Shannon Barry) had said he could do that, no problem. Richard Piselli said no charge for the visit (who does that anymore?).
Fast forward, three days... there had not been electricity in the affected room since touched by IVC and they could not figure out the problem. Called Richard again and he was right out once again- quickly checked the wiring- found the outlet that was improperly wired by IVC and repaired/rewired it. We had electricity again! Except... the newly replaced (by Invictus Veritas Construction) doorbell that was also attached to that line did not work. Richard pulled it off and saw it was attached to an old t.v. antenna wire, courtesy of Invictus Veritas Construction, he dug around to find the original doorbell wire to no avail since now it had siding, plywood and insulation covering the frame. He had great advice about the wifi doorbells available so all was resolved. Very cheap price (wanted to say reasonable but it was cheap!). Super conscientious worker, does not play hard to get and knows his stuff. Highly recommend! Thanks again Richard for coming to my rescue!

I hired Richard Piselli to take care of three jobs for me ... installing a new recessed lighting fixture where my existing fixture was broken, installing a ceiling fan, and fixing a ceiling fan that had been improperly installed (hey, I give myself an E for effort).  He arrived promptly at the scheduled time, was very professional and polite, and finished the three jobs in a reasonable amount of time (a few hours).  I thought the price was very fair ($140 for all three jobs).  I would wholeheartedly recommend him to any of my friends, and would not hesitate to hire him again in the future.

I called Richard  and he was great he helped me over the phone it was a Holiday and he still took his time to help me..   Thanks again Richard!  If you need service from someone who actually cares and is an  honest person you know who to call!

I called Richard Monday night at 715pm because a breaker failed and caused electricity to go out in 2 rooms in the home. He came at 9am the next morning immediately found the cause and was prepared with the replacement part. 30min later new breaker and working perfectly! He has fair pricing and is very professional. I highly recommend using him for all your electrician needs!

I had a ceiling fan to install so I called Richard. He quoted me $75. Home Depot $198! He was on time actually early. Was fast, friendly, and went out of his way to help. I mentioned that my electricity in my garage wasn't working and he said he would take a look. He managed to find the problem and didn't charge for taking the time to check it out. I will definitely be calling Richard again for the rest of my fan installations and anything else Electric I may need in the future. Super nice guy!

Found Richard in Yelp and he lived up to his reputation. Installed two bedroom ceiling fans with no fuss or mess and for a reasonable price. He then did troubleshooting on a light switch and associated socket that have never worked since we bought the house 20 years ago. Switched a couple of wires and it works! Was reluctant to accept payment and I had to insist - quite the opposite of most transactions! Will definitely use him again

Thanks to Yelp, we decided to give Richard a call when half of the electricity went off in the house. We called and he arrived and went straight to work to find the problem. Richard is a true professional with an amazing work ethic.  His workmanship is great.  I called to attain a quote for his services.  I wanted the ceiling fans installed in each of my upstairs bedrooms.  I was quoted a very fair price that had been lower than others I had shopped around for.  So I attained his services.  Initially the date to get the work accomplished was Tuesday morning around 10.  Richard gave me a call a couple hours before the appointed time and explain that he had come down with something and asked if we could reschedule.  He stated that he could still install the fans that day if there wasn't any way we could reschedule.  Of course I said we could and hoped he felt better.  We rescheduled for that Friday at the same time.  Friday comes along and Richard arrives earlier and gets started right away.  These fans were brand new installs and had to be wired and run through the attic.  With all three fans it only took about four hours to complete.  I had thought I wanted the fans to be wired to the switch at first.  But Richard educated me a bit on remote control ceiling fans and I was sold.  He even provides the remotes and made recommendations on where to go if we ever needed to get more.  If I ever need anything electrical done I will definitely try to retain Richard Pisselli Electrical again.

I called with a bathroom GFI probem.  Rick was exptemely helpful helping me troubleshoot the problem over the phone.  Bottom line... incredible service.  I now have an Electrician I can rely on.

Richard is honest and upfront.  Most electricians will come to an old house and recommend that you update your breaker box and get new wiring.  But if it works, then why change it?  Richard tested the circuit and now we have a working oven.   And he charges $65/hour.  Great price, great service.  Thanks Richard!

I called Richard Piselli Electric out for a problem at my mother's home. Richard located a short circuit in the wall behind the dishwasher. After replacing a short piece of power cable the problem was resolved. Richard even replaced a faulty AC receptacle in another room at no extra charge. I would certainly use him again.

What a wonderful experience with an Electrician!!  It would have been nice to actually meet him.  As we all know this week in September has been a brutal one as the heat goes.  My AC fuse kept resetting and I was unable to keep my home cold.  We were all suffering.  With no relief in sight, I turned to Yelp called up the guy top on the list...and go figure....no answer and no return call.  So after a bit of review I chose Richard.  He answered his phone and made himself immediately available.  I was unable to get away from work so I had a neighbor meet up with him.  He was able to quickly asses that the fuse I needed was not readily available.  He waited at my home for me to locate one and to no avail.  He did have some magic with his screw driver.  Don't ask me, but my AC has been working ever since.  Richard claimed he was unable to really fix anything and in return did not expect payment.  WOW!! Shocked!!  I will be calling him and his magic Screw Driver again!!  Thank you Richard!!

Richard is not reliable. I've been trying to get him for past several weeks but each time he came up with some excuses at the last minute and never had the courtesy to call me back and reschedule. His rates are not that reasonable. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND HIM TO ANY ONE. I had to get the work done by another electrician who promptly arrived on the day and time and did a better job.

I've got my new electrician!  The last electrician I had out fixed nothing, made one thing worse, and charged a lot.  After seeing the yelp reviews, I called Richard for our electricity ghost.  He made it over the same day, was very quick to find the source of the problem, and charged a reasonable rate.

Richard Piselli did a great job installing two ceiling fans in rooms that had no mounts or power running to it, just a flat ceiling. He was up front with everything and a pleasure to deal with. Over the weekend on Sunday 8/17/2014 lost power to a whole set of 120 volt outlets and lighting in one of our bathrooms.  While I've got an electrical engineering degree with many years of experience, I knew only an expert could figure this mess out.  In checking Yelp for electricians in Chula Vista early yesterday, it was apparent to me from the get-go that only Richard possessed the complex problem solving skills that I needed to resolve this problem.  So I placed the call and got an appointment with Richard the next day on Monday 8/18/2014.  Just like the reviews I read in Yelp, Richard quickly diagnosed the problem within a few minutes, replaced a bad 120 volt outlet, and restored power to all the remaining outlets and lighting in the bathroom.  Wow! - now that's service!  With regard to cost, I can say Richard's fee was less that any of the other quotes I got, and, his communication and attention to details top-tier / top-notch / A+++.  If you've got a job that you want done right, done quick, and at a competitive price, Richard is your man!  Thanks Richard, really appreciate your AWESOME / A+++ service in taking care of this problem!  Bruce

Called around to get quotes for running a line to my back patio for a hot tub and new AC unit. Rich was the only person who was able to come and look at the job sooner than a month out. Rich came by and appraised the job, gave me an estimate and we set a date for the work. Rich showed up on time, ready to go and jumped in to the job. I helped out a bit with the job and Rich was very knowledgable and professional and I managed to learn a few things. Rich completed the job in a very timely fashion, despite my help and the price was very fair for the work being completed. Richard was recommended by our realtor.  Our house is in escrow and there were some electrical repairs requested by the buyers based on the inspector's report.  I called Richard on a Tuesday and he was able to come to our house two days later.  I thought he would look things over and give us an estimate, and that we would have to schedule another day for him to do the work.  But he did everything in one trip and it was a relief to have the work completed so quickly.  Richard is very nice while also being exceptionally competent and professional.  He is honest and reasonable in what he charges for his expert work.  He has our enthusiastic recommendation!

I was very pleased with all the work Richard did at my house, installing multiple light fixtures, fire alarms in hard to reach places as well as some difficult to reach ceiling lights that were showing wiring problems.
