Established in 1999.
All work is done and supervised by the owner Roy Griner. We started as a service provider to large General Contractors on commercial & residential, but our true satisfaction came from serving direct to home owners and small business owners addressing their needs in a prompt & courteous manner. We are licensed, insured & bonded with the CSLB.

ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER

I worked as an employee for a large electrical company starting in 1994. Providing B2B electrical services in the first 2 years and manged & supervised a 5 men team leader on new construction developments in the San Fernando valley. in the last year as an employee i managed several teams providing professional electrical service to home owners and this is when i found my true desire about what i do. Providing satisfaction to a client face to face made me realize that i would like to have my own company and i open doors to RG Electric. I offered it in the beginning to General Contractors working on residential and commercial accounts, and it took me several years to go back to what i really wanted to do and its to serve home owners directly.
I am a black belt in Krav Maga, and i love riding my mountain bike on my back yard  (Santa Monica mountains).

This company has the worst customer service ever. I called them a week ago and an agent from another company got the call and he would leave a message so I can get a callback, after a week I still waiting for the call back a nothing yet. I don't understand how this company could be A+ with the Better Business Bureau if they don't even have customer service willing to assist their clients.
Worst experience ever! Solar panels were installed very quick but as si mentioned before customer service is unresponsive!

Quick Overview: GO WITH RG ELECTRIC; I would definitely recommend RG Electric to anyone who needs any electrical projects done. Specifically we worked on recessed lighting and are DEFINITELY going back to them for our next projects!

Getting Quoted: QUICK AND EFFICIENT; I was looking on yelp for a few electricians, and I stumbled upon RG Electric. Jose (Executive Assistant) was very kind, honest and very personable; he gave me the best quote (out of the 5 companies I got quoted from). Jose knew that I needed lights right away and with it being December and all-he got me someone right away. I got my quote on November 29th and 3 days (December 2nd) later I got my lights done!

Process: DILIGENT AND PROFESSIONAL; the electrician, Miguel and his team, Andre; worked professionally, and diligently to make sure that each recessed lighting was a perfect fit and that each work well and bright. Miguel was very knowledgeable and when asked questions or for his opinion on anything he was very honest.    

Final product: GREAT, FANTASTIC & BRIGHT; the project took a good 8 hours and it was WORTH IT. Again anyone looking for a good electrician/electrical company you should use RG Electric. 10/10 RECOMMENDATION.

They responded very quickly to my inquiry and came by literally the very next day to do an install of a new chandelier for me in my dining room.

Was done quickly and well for a great price.

Only reason not 5 stars is there were some holes in the wall i needed to patch myself after they left, but in their defense i was told this might be the case.  It just made things a little less than perfect.

Either way i would call RG again in the future no question.

These guys showed up 5 mins EARLY, very professional, wore masks the whole time, and completed the job quickly and well.

They were great answering questions and concerns I had, and even followed-up afterwards to make sure I was satisfied and that I didn't need anything additional. Communication throughout was also quick and easy.

Highly recommend RF Electric, and will be calling them if I need any more electrical work done around the house.

They performed multiple jobs for me including installing a ring doorbell, installing a floodlight camera where one didn't exist before, installing a outlet outside my house, fixing another outlet I had outdoors that wasn't working, all for a great price

We had so many people come in and quote outrageous amounts and recommend that we rent special equipment to have the chandelier changed out. I had called RG electric and sent them pictures and they gave me a rough estimate based on those pictures. Once we scheduled the job, we were given a two hour time window. I had requested earlier in the time window because we had something to do and they said they would make a note. I was very happy when they showed up early as I requested. They honored the estimate and had the job done with no complaints or comments about the difficulty of the job and were out in less than one hour. I am very happy with the work that was done, the reasonable cost and the customer service. I will definitely be calling RG electric for any of my electrical service needs.

Best Electrical company in Los Angeles! They are all professional and their work is up to code. I received other quotes but the professionalism and the feeling that they knew what they were doing, was awesome. Don't let price fool you, you will pay more if you hire someone who performs shortcuts in their work. I highly recommend these guys! I am a customer for life!

Firstly would like to note that this is a family owned business, I've had the pleasure of meeting with Roy the owner multiple times he works closely with all his staff on all projects and handles unsurmisable workloads with efficiency.

Took about a two weeks of sporadic email replies to get his crew to come. Charged $500 to install two outdoor gfci outlets. Came back home after the finished and then left this for me. Small job and pretty big mistake.

I had a couple of small electrical repairs so I called around for estimates. I sent RG Electric photos of the work I needed done. They were prompt with my quote but it was TRIPLE what the other two contractors I contacted quoted me! Buyer beware.

Update: This morning I was called 6 times in a row by a no caller ID number before 9am. I screen my calls so I let them go to voicemail but no messages were left. After the 5th call in rapid succession I became worried there might be an emergency from a family member. It turns out all the calls were from RG Electric. He wanted to talk to me about this review. He said that the estimate was so high because he wanted to account for possible unknowns in the job. I shared with him that the other contractors I called for estimates gave me a base rate for the repairs (approx $300 as opposed to RG's $900+). The other contractors acknowledged if there were complications to the repairs they would alert me before doing work outside of the scope of their original quote. RG Electric then said he was new to this and apologized for giving me such a high quote. I shared with him that I had read other reviews of their company here on yelp that also cited excessively high estimates so it seems like this was not a one time issue. Calling me because of a negative Yelp review 6 times in less than an hour was unprofessional & unacceptable. I advise folks to stay away.

Very painless process that makes me wish I had done it sooner!

I cross checked yelp with Angie's list and decided to call RG Electric to get a quote for recessed lighting in my living room.  I left a message and Roy called me back within 5 minutes and said he could come out the next morning to do the quote.  I said that I had to be somewhere at 9 am, so he said he could come at 7:30 am (on a Saturday!).  He took a look around and recommended recessed lighting for both the living and dining areas, suggesting six 3 inch LED lights with dimmers in each room. I had initially wanted a light fixture for the dining area, but he talked me out of it due to low ceilings in my townhouse.  He quoted me $1,250 for all 12 lights plus dimmers, but was clear that the price did not include drywall repair / patching / painting of the holes left behind from removing the old track lighting and installing recessed the lights. The price seemed fair so I did not negotiate, and I'm not sure if it would have worked (he said he did not believe in coupons).

Roy put me on the calendar for 7:30 am today (4 days later) and I put down a $500 deposit (he accepts checks, but credit cards are 3% extra). His team of 3 showed up at 7:30 am on the dot this morning. They did seem a bit confused as to what they were supposed to do and only one of them spoke English, which was a bit concerning.  I showed them the paper with the estimate and called Roy to confirm what we had agreed on Saturday and he put me at ease.  I let him know that I had to go to work and would be back for lunch at 12:30 pm, and when I came back the job was done and Roy was waiting for me to make sure I was happy with the job and to collect final payment.  He also helped me dispose of the old track lighting.

Roy also had his drywall guy call me, and he will be here at 8 am tomorrow to finish the job (an extra $300). All in all it was a very quick, seamless process. My only complaint is that the drywall is a separate job - it would be nice if it could all be done at once, but maybe that's the way that it always works with these things.

My space looks larger, more open, and beautiful!

Wonderful company to work with!
I have contracted Roy and RG Electric on quite a few projects now and the results have always been the same - extremely satisfied!
Roy and his crew are punctual, professional, they clean after themselves, and most importantly they stick to their price!  
In recent years I have found it to be extremely difficult to find a trustworthy contractor and I found that in RG Electric.
Do yourself a favor and hire them for any of your electric needs, you'll thank me later!

Terrible customer service. Doesn't even want to provide a quote for a job because apparently he can't be bothered to do smoke detector replacements throughout someone's home. F for service and F for communication skills. Guess it's better I found this out before becoming a customer.

I had posted that I needed an electrician on Thursday evening because a few outlets were going off and on. I few weeks prior to that, my panel was making a lot of noise (crackling). My messages Thursday turned up a few electricians sending me messages. I choose to  go with RG, based on how quickly they responded to my messages. They showed up when they said they would, Friday morning before 9AM and I am in the Marina. Turns out that my panel needed to be replaced ASAP. The gentleman (Sam) that was sent out was very knowledgeable and acted as fast as he could, even when he had to leave to go get a new panel he did that quickly. Sam worked here  from 9 to 3. I am happy with their work and response to my situation. Highly recommended.

What can I say, amazing group of people!
I had some  Recess lights installed in my home for better lighting and a more modern look. From start to finish I was made aware of the process. They were so precise with their cuts, no patching nor paint was needed.

Absolutely great service! Roy and his guys were not only on time, but they were also very professional and answered all the questions I had regarding the installation of LED lights and my ceiling fans. I highly recommend this company as they get the job done quickly and properly. Their prices are cost efficient also which is a huge thumbs up from me. We had RG come to our place to install a new ceiling fan and a microwave, both of which needed new wiring as well. Roy's team was punctual, efficient, and of course totally competent. I've done a lot of wiring myself, so I know whereof I speak when I say they did a great job for a great price (and in just a few hours). Highly recommended. Roy's follow up call soon after they left to ensure that I was happy was much appreciated as well. I don't know when we will need any more electric work, but if we do they'll get the call.

Only small caveats, like everything here in LA it helps if you speak some Spanish to effectively communicate with the crew, and making sure everything is as expected before they pack up never hurts.  Finally, know that these are electricians, not general handymen, which means that patch and paint are left to someone else. Roy referred me to someone who I'll certainly call now that I see how high his standards are, based on the work of his team. Stay tuned for updates.

Our home fire alarms went bad. RG was super responsive and came out to replace them. He was super helpful, kind, polite, and honest. He even helped with a Ring door bell that wasn't mounted properly. Can not recommend more highly.

It's interesting you don't think about building a relationship w/ an electrician outside of when a dire situation arises. While this was the reason that I came across Roy and his company it's his level of professionalism, follow up and overall care to ensure my electric needs are all met that kept me going to him over the years.

He's the first person I think of when something comes up, and in an industry where many aren't trustworthy I have personally found Roy to be one of a kind. HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING HIM!

I'm not one to be easily impressed... But the service RG Electrics provided for my panel upgrade and new kitchen rewire was probably the best experience I've had from any Contractor.

From estimate, to written agreement, installation and clean up I couldn't have asked for a better service. The job went so smoothly Roy even had his crew fix my pool light (that hadn't worked for 5 years) for free...

Quick, neat, professional, and pleasant too... I have no doubt in a 5* rating, these guys earned it!

Believe the positive reviews! We just had Roy's crew install recessed lighting in our living room, kitchen, dining room and part of our bedroom. His crew came right on time as promised, very courteous and professional, covered all of our furniture with protective plastic and worked non-stop. Everything was finished ahead of time.

Make sure to go with his plaster/painter recco - Antonio - to finish / paint the job.

RG Electric installed a full-electrical upgrade to our 4 unit apartment building last fall.   Roy worked with the city planners and SCE in order to make our job go smoothly. Great about working with tenants and bringing our building up to code.  Only issue we had was with a bad breaker - but Roy came out on an early Sunday morning and fixed it no problem.  With that kind of customer service, I would recommend them most definitely.

They also put in a new dedicated 50 amp circuit at our residence for an electrical vehicle charging - quick, on time and at a fair price too!

We have more projects planned in the future and I will definitely call RG for all electrical needs.

My grandparents house is older, and it's been long overdue for some lighting renovations! RG Electric came as a referral from a family friend and did not disappoint! Major electrical issues at my condo complex. The company responded immediately and was prompt, responsive and extremely knowledgeable. Called up for an estimate and they were able to come a day later. It was my second estimate and much better price than my first so I decided to go with them. I called around for pricing and RG electrics gave us a really good price so we hired them. Other companies were charging 2 times the amount that RG quoted.

We couldn't be happier with the overall service we received from them. We were also very impressed with the quality of work Roy and his team provided. They were affordable, professional, and they provide great service!

I have a problem with intermittent power to half of the outlets and the overhead light and fan in a room in my house. There are two rooms on the same breaker, sometimes the lights work but right now there is only 0.5 VACATION at the switch!  called them yesterday afternoon (Friday around 3:00) was told someone would call me right back to set up an appointment, I have never heard back from anyone!

I wish I could select 0 stars.... I could have a fire hazard!

I called RG electric to fix a short circuit in my line to the pool after messing with that with other electrician that didn't do a good job. i was referred from a friend that gave only good stuff about him. as i called he was able to squeeze me into his tight scheduled
and his crew came on time . they worked hard until they find the problem and fixed it.they stay all the time they needed and price was exactly as we spoke before about it, although they had to do many extra electric stuff we didn't discussed on. i will more then happy to refer any one to him and consider him to be my electric guy for any issue i will have in the future.

I called Roy this morning at 7:30 am, in a panic over some things in my kitchen that weren't working due to an electrical problem. He called me right back, and scheduled a time this afternoon to come to my house.
After arriving exactly at the time he told me he would be there,he looked under my sink, and fixed the problem, in about 20 seconds. He explained to me that it wasn't a problem at all, showed me what it was, and refused to charge me.
He will definitely be my new electrician the next time I have an electrical problem.

As a realtor, we see all kinds of interesting electrical jobs done. Especially with flips nowadays. I called Roy to help assess the call outs from my general inspectors report. He was able to quickly identify the main issues with the electrical panel and other call outs made throughout the property. He gave me a quick estimate and a list of repairs to complete which I was able to use in my request for repairs. He was also there for me after that point with all of my questions. Quick to answer the phone, and clearly communicate with me.

He also stood up for me and his own professional electrical knowledge when the project manager of the flip tried to say his opinion is subjective and not necessarily accurate. I promise you electrical work isn't a gray area. It's black or white. Use a licensed professional and do the job right. Cheaper isn't always better. Strong electrical codes are there for a reason.

We had just purchased a house which had a wide variety of electrical work that needed to be done.
Everything from replacing a lot of sockets with breakers, properly exhausting a fan that was venting into our attic, installing light fixtures in our garden, adding electrical service in remote locations and, biggest of all, putting in a new electrical panel.  Roy's bid came in very reasonably.  He responded quickly to any inquiries. He put together a very efficient schedule and his very friendly and accommodating crew showed up always according to that schedule.
As we we progressed with the work we added a few tasks and Roy took those on without any protest and for reasonable and appropriate additional cost.  

The replacement of the electrical panel is a big pain. There are several stages that have to take place because of inspections happening at various points in the process.  He scheduled this so efficiently that the whole process just sped through with very little inconvenience to us.
The crew he recommended to rebuild the surrounding wall were also great and all the work is virtually seamless.

Roy showed up to check in more often than I would have expected him to, even when his guys were doing the simple stuff.  
(Including one day when he had the flu)
He is collaborative, informative and helpful:  
a nice guy who is really easy to work with.  
No job was too small or too big.  
We can't recommend him more.

(By the way, I am pretty lazy about posting reviews so I only do it when somebody really impresses me that is why if you look at my reviews, they are all 5 stars.)

These guys are great. Called them out for a estimate on a few projects, and Roy came to the house within a few hours. We ultimately ended up using them for a ceiling fan install, and some corrections to our other fans. The technician was prompt, polite, and worked quickly. I'm very happy with their service and I'll definitely be using them again in the future.

RG electric recently installed kitchen island lights, patio lights, and an outlet in our bathroom. The technician that came out was professional, meticulous, and did a fantastic job! There was a bit of miscommunication between my boyfriend and the technician about the layout of the patio lights. RG Electric responded promptly to our concerns and sent the technician out the next day to fix the patio lights layout. My boyfriend and I could not be happier with RG Electric's service. Roy was great!  I rarely do reviews, but I had to write one after the fantastic experience I had.  After speaking with the very polite and helpful dispatcher, he called me directly within 15 minutes.  He told me he would be at my house within 1-2 hours and showed up right when he said he would.  He completed the job quickly, explaining everything along the way.  And his charge was well below what I expected.

Very professional company!  RG Electric will definitely be my electrician from now on!!  No doubt I will call them again if I ever have a problem.

Here's a 2 yr belated review.
I had these guys install 4 inch LED recessed lighting all throughout my 2- story condo.  The whole process was pretty quick.  
After reading some yelp reviews and getting different estimates, I rolled with RG.  A tech came out, assessed the best layout and immediately set up an installation day later that week.  The crew came out and knocked the job out within a few hours.
It's amazing how much recessed lighting changes the look of your place.
These guys do excellent work for great, competitive prices.

I had to show some love because I recently had to call them on one light that went out and needed help replacing.  RG Electric came out and replaced it for free.

Researched all over the interwebs to find someone to come out to our restaurant in DTLA. RG Electric was by far the best choice.

Not only did they come and give us a quote the very same day but the service was completed the next day in such a timely manner. We had some rewiring to be done and the quote was probably one of the best we've had as far as electrical maintenance goes, as well as discreetness since they had to come during business hours. Roy helped us with a complicated electrical issue that resulted in us needing a new electric panel, ground system, and breakers. It was a bit of a stressful situation but Roy calmly led us through the process, was extremely professional, and provided excellent value. Wish we had found Roy & his team FIRST... Sorry to say, another electrician had started a job for us. We did not hire them directly & was through the General Contractor.  Then when corrections were issued by the inspector, the original electrician was no where to be found. Now we were stuck with a half completed project & no other electrician willing to take over as no one wanted to be held responsible for the corrections and/or tied to the previous electricians work. Luckily we found Roy & his team. We texted him some pictures & Roy came out the next day to quote the project. Roy was willing to take over the project even with the outstanding corrections & even spent time with us to inspect more than 10 Smoke/CO detectors in all the units.

Roy & his team was PROMPT, FAST, PROFESSIONAL, & got the JOB DONE! On the day of FINAL inspections, I was obviously nervous having already gone through a horrible experience the 1st time around. Then Roy said See, Nothing to be Nervous About... & then we PASSED! Roy had actually worked with the same inspector on a different project.

It is very true that you never think of building a relationship with an electrician, but when you find someone as good as Roy & RG Electric, you will want to stay with them.  Please NOTE that we are a property manager based in San Francisco, but the building Roy & his team worked on is in Los Angeles, CA. Efficient and excellent service and quality work.  Rolled with it when I found out on day of I needed firebox protection around my recessed lights due to condo assoc rules.  Roy and his crew worked quickly to get me the proper boxes, install the lights and charged a fair price.  They also installed my chandelier.  I feel other reviews are misleading about communication - Roy was always very quick to respond and clear.  In fact I went with him when other vendors did not get back to me.  Crew is extremely professional and courteous.  Top notch.

I recently bought a house and know nothing about electricity, so when the lights in our bedroom inexplicably stopped working my first instinct was to find an electrician in the area!

I called Roy at RG Electric and he was able to come out and check out the issue. Roy was on time and thankfully the fix was quick and easy!

Roy is a great guy and gave me some other helpful suggestions on reducing our electric bill. I'll be researching those and definitely keeping Roy's number for any future issues!

RG Electric installed LED recessed lights in my kitchen and laundry area.  After requesting a quote, Roy came and gave a quote within the next few days.  He provided a sample of the lights to be installed and explained the different degrees of lighting.  Also suggested the layout of lighting for the kitchen.  Following the quote, we agreed upon a start date for the following week.  His staff (Miguel and Ishmael) arrived on time and put protective covering on the floors, walls, cabinets and appliances.  They also marked the location of the lights on the ceiling prior to installation to ensure that they were placed in the desired location and also to ensure that the lights were programmed for the brightness that I wanted.  After the installation, they cleaned the area, swept and also vacuumed the floor. They finished the job in 3 and 1/2 hours and left the area spotless.  Price was also reasonable.

I called Roy as I needed to rewire my whole house. I needed a cow that I could trust as I did not want a fire to start in my house because of a mickey mouse electrical job. This company is awesome. I had four rooms on one circuit, two of which were bathrooms! Needless to say, we were constantly tripping the breaker. So I needed an electrician to come out a redistribute the power to the four rooms.

I had a few come out but Roy was able to give me suggestions for a better way to fix the problem. The work was done quickly, properly and professionally. They even cleaned up the house so it was neater than when they came in! His prices were very fair and he didn't try to charge any more. Super honest guy!

In fact, i asked him to come by a few weeks later to help me figure out a problem with a z-wave switch because I am playing around with home automation. He educated me on wiring, took care of the connecting the switch and didn't charge me a single cent for the visit. Unbelievable!

I have a great plumber and now I have a great electrician - what a relief!

I've used RG electric few times already. This time I've promised myself I'll find the time to give this company the thumb up they well deserve.
Roy has been always been so patient and professional. He takes his work seriously regardless to the size of the project.
Employees ALWAYS on time, kind and polite, they clean after they done, you can't even tell there's been work done on your walls and ceiling. Price is reasonably quoted. And some of you might think I'm crazy but the fact that Roy's guys took the time even to explain my kiddos what they were doing and being so patient with my 18 months old that just won't stop and try climb their ladder - so sweet!!! will use them again and recommend them to anyone need electrical work done.

Roy was great! Had him and his team fix some bizarre wiring issues that we had in the house, and run 3 new lines to ensure that our circuits would stop overloading.

While they were out running the lines (one was 220 for a mini split AC unit), Rpy asked if I had an installer lined up for the unit. I didn't yet as I was waiting for the lines to be run first. He referred an HVAC pro for the job who came out and installed the piece in 3 or 4 hours.

Very satisfied with Roy's work, will definitely use again!

Roy & his guy were efficient, knowledgeable, & so nice !! My kids had triggered a short that took out half of our power including all overhead lights & half the outlets in the whole house. I am renovating my home and I called RG based on the reviews online. They did not disappoint! Roy was on top of everything. We had a lot of work done...recessed lights, new outlets, moved outlets, cat6 installed, dedicated outlets installed...and all the work was done professionally and exactly as I expected.  The crew cleans up afterwards and makes sure the house is clean throughout the whole process. Roy even made the effort to juggle some other appointments around to accommodate my last minute request. I will continue to use this company and recommend them to anyone needing electrical work done!! They are the best!

I found RG Electric through Yelp and I was not disappointed. We needed to rewire our 1920's bungalow to rid ourselves of the knob & tube in order to insulate the attic. Roy came out the day I called for an estimate. His response to my every request was no problem!. He also had a lot of great ideas I hadn't even thought of, like adding ceiling fans and changing out our ugly old light fixtures. He even suggested an under counter light in the kitchen which has turned out to be amazing (it's the little things in life, am I right?). He kept saying it would be extra for this or that but didn't end up charging me for most of them. The only extras he charged for were the ceiling fans.
His team came out the following week (WAY faster than I expected!) and started work. I spent the weekend ordering all new light fixtures and Roy took care of permits and everything else. A week and a half later and we have a completely updated electrical system! New box, new wiring, new lights, new switches, new plugs, new everything! And it's all grounded! Thank god! He even made sure we're all set for our future hot tub and possible addition. I feel we got a great deal for all the work they did here, and they went above and beyond on many of the items we talked about. RG Electric are my electricians for life!

I just saved myself thousands by NOT hiring these guys.

Here's the story - my family bought a home a few months ago. Typical older Valley home. The other day I noticed the power in my kitchen was going in and out and there was a scary burning sound coming from my electrical panel. So I called RG based on these Yelp reviews.  

The electrician came out, took one look at my panel and told me that I needed to replace the entire panel and rewire my entire house. Potentially costing me thousands if not close to $10,000. Pretty frightening thought when you just purchased a home.

I was instructed by RG to call DWP to report the problem and ask them where the new panel should be installed when they came out. That night, DWP showed up at my home.

The DWP technician informed me that although the panel is quite old it is very common in this area and there is no reason why it shouldn't last another 10 years.  

He then opened the panel (which RG did not do) and quickly identified that the problem was due to a faulty (failing) circuit breaker. Very common he said. He then instructed me, step by step, on how to replace the breaker which I found at Home Depot.

Grand total for the repair $70.

Problem solved and thousands saved.

I am not suggesting that these guys were trying to cheat me but I cannot help but feel that their suggestion was extreme and unnecessary. Especially when I explained to them that I was not in the position to spend that type of money on a problem that was easily fixed with a trip to Home Depot.

Yes absolutely great service! Roy is very friendly and his guys are great! He's very easy to work with and he will flat out tells you what's good and what's not. He installed recessed lighting throughout my 1 bedroom apartment. I got 8 6-inch LED lights in my living room and 6 4-inch LED lights in my bedroom. All with dimmer switches. He also added 1 of the switches with a control that I use with my phone. I also had someone else previously come in and they installed 4 terrible, mickey mouse lights in my kitchen and Roy fixed it for me. It's all pretty sweet and I am now loving my place! I called RG Electric on a Saturday figuring they would get back to me on Monday and was surprised when he called on Sunday and made an appointment on Monday. He gave me a fair price and his guys came on Wednesday right on time.  I needed a new pump wired in for my fountain and not only did they do the electrical part but they help me assemble the fountain. I would definitely recommend RG Electric.

Contacted Roy to figure out why the downstairs unit's main breaker kept being triggered.  He couldn't find anything really wrong with it, but suggested to upgrade the subpanel of a duplex.  The quote he gave was quite high, but he gave me a slight discount and said that he could do the job the next day, so I agreed.  Him and his team were timely, got the job done without hassle, and if I had any questions, he would get back to me right away via text.  So far, no problems with the main breaker.  For this reason, I am a fan.

I needed electrical work - replacing florescent bulbs in kitchen ceiling with recessed LED lights... I contacted Roy as I noticed his excellent reviews.  He arrived at the house the first day and gave a reasonable estimate for the job, came early the next day, did a beautiful job and arranged for the drywall/paint man (a separate estimate) to complete the ceiling on the third day.  All this was accomplished in 3 days from very beginning to end.  I am amazed at how gorgeous the kitchen looks now  I would definitely call Roy again for any electrical work.

We needed exterior lighting installed around a nine-unit condominium.  Our landscaper provided a bid but told us to seek competitive ones because his electrician is expensive.  We collected bids from three other contractors and found RG Electric to be very competitive and responsive.  RG was onsite for an estimate within a couple of hours of our call and provided a bid an hour later.  When we informed them that they had been hired, they said it would be a two-day job and they could start the next day.  The following day, four RG guys were onsite installing the landscape and garage lighting--and they finished by noon of the second day.  Everything looks great and the owners are very happy with the new lighting.  We very much appreciate and highly recommend RG Electric, and we certainly would use them again.

I called RG because I had a circuit go out in my house. They were able to come out same day. It took Jose about 5 minutes to determine that it was a breaker that needed to be replaced and fixed it. Although prices seemed a bit high it is difficult to put a price on having great expertise and getting your problem fixed fast. I called RG because I had a circuit go out in my house. They were able to come out same day. It took Jose about 5 minutes to determine that it was a breaker that needed to be replaced and fixed it. Although prices seemed a bit high it is difficult to put a price on having great expertise and getting your problem fixed fast. I am thankful for that and for Roy working with me as finances are tight. So I am very happy with RG and the service they provided. Thank you!

Fantastic service! I needed some wiring work to power office cubicles on a film set. I called for a quote and Roy stopped by a couple hours later to take a look before giving me an estimate. We hired Roy and his team to install new lights throughout the house.  This included recessed lights, chandeliers, bathroom lighting, outdoor lights, and new outlets.  Roy and his team did a wonderful job.  They were able to start the job the very next day and worked long days to finish the work according to our tight schedule. We were very satisfied with the work.  After a couple of weeks, when we noticed a minor issue, we called Roy and his team quickly came and fixed the issue at no additional cost.  Overall, I highly recommend Roy, and I plan to request his help for any electrical work we do in the house.

After seeing all the great reviews on yelp about RG Electric I decided to give them a call. We installed 3 new electric boxes with switches for ceiling fans in 3 bedrooms.
I decided to save some cash by installing the ceiling fans my self but new that I would need help with the electrical boxes since we needed to run new wiring.

We had an appointment for 12pm and my wife was going to be available. He called at 9am to ask if he could start at 10am his previous appointment had run shorter than expected. This was even a better time for us since we have 2 young kids and my mother would be able to watch over them in the morning. I appreciate the fact that he called rather than just showing up like others tend to do.

My wife had nothing but great things to say about Roy and his crew. She mentioned that they were very polite, covered and cleaned the area where they were working.
Roy also kept my wife on the loop about certain decisions, like making a small whole in the bedrooms a pose to the hallway. I always appreciate questions like that instead of them just guessing or not giving you the option. They finished the job in about 2hrs and couldn't be happier.

It's great to see a family owned business do well. Keep up the great work Roy.

I'm writing this in the Bay Area... though the work I entrusted to RG was performed in SoCal!

My problem is, I live in San Jose... but I am responsible for the caretaking of an invalid, unfortunately bed-ridden Mom in Encino. We have round-the-clock actual caretakers for Mom... but they certainly are not very good with the on-going details of maintaining a nice home!

A recent electrical issue found me in need of finding a qualified electrician... that I could trust in my absence.

That quickly became Roy, of RG Electric. I had Roy on the phone 10 minutes after I read about him, he arranged a phone call to Mom's home the next morning; and by next afternoon the job was neatly handled and resolved... with an assurance of trust, having a tradesman I never met, enter my Mom's home to do a professional job.

That may not sound like a lot in today's world... but it is. Everything today comes at a steep price... but it's those intangibles that remain priceless.

This is our fourth time using Roy and RG Electric in our home.  We've called him twice to install ceiling fans in the bedrooms (one of which had no existing wiring and the other was a replacement).  We've also called on him to check out a few smaller electrical issues we were having (2 of which he fixed at no cost!)  

When one of our fans lights began flickering after 9 months, he instructed us to buy another one (return the flickering one in the new one's box) and reinstalled the new one again at no cost.  

His pricing on jobs is fair, and he is always responsive to inquiries and shows up exactly when he says he will.  Roy has become our go to electrician and someone I would not hesitate to recommend.

I had a few light fixtures which required more than just a light bulb change, so I called up RG Electric. After describing the fixtures, he was able to roughly identify the issue and so we made an appointment.

Appointment came, he showed up on time, took care of things, and I now have working kitchen lights.

Fast, friendly, and got the job done nicely in about an hour. I would definitely Recommend!!

Roy and his team at RG Electric are wonderful. We needed our bathroom ceiling vent replaced (removal of an old unit, plus installation of a newer unit). I called on a Monday afternoon, and Roy scheduled the appointment for the following morning. The RG technicians arrived on time, and they completed the entire job in about an hour. They were extremely professional, and the whole job was reasonably priced. Roy even offered to connect us with his drywall specialist (but we didn't end up needing to repair the drywall). I highly recommend their services!

Furious! I called in the early am to have an outlet put in. I was told someone would call me. Well, five hours later I got no call. I called back and gave all my info again. I was told that someone would call me back. What!? They said they would call me to make an appointment and they weren't sure if it would be for today or another day. Who are these people answering the phone then? A big thanks for wasting my entire morning! I'll never know if RG Electric is any good because I could never get a call back. Simple customer service is so important. Be clear, call people back. Do what you say you're going to do. Now I have to find another electrician. Yelp didn't come through for me on this company sorry to say.

I work for a property management firm, so I have a fair amount of electrical needs! Unfortunately, sometimes I need an electrician immediately. I was in a bind on a Saturday and could not get any electricians to call me back or go out to inspect the issue. We needed to have some re-wiring done and a sub-panel put in.  It was a big job and required a lot of drilling, cutting, patching, etc.  I checked Yelp and saw lots of good thing being written about Roy and his boys so I took a chance and called him.

Roy is great.  He helped us design the outdoor lighting in our front and back yard.  He took time to find the right fixtures (we are picky), gave recommendations on the types of light that would best suit our yard and helped perfect the placement and direction of the fixtures.  His installation was flawless, quick and clean without any damage to landscape or our house.  He was always on time and patiently answered all questions.  Even once the job was finished, he has returned to help tweak things and reset the timers without charging extra.  We highly recommend RG.

I should have written this review a while ago.  I just never wanted to create a Yelp login!  But Roy deserves every good review out there.  He's helped us a few times now:  when we installed solar panels we had to have our breaker box update, I needed a 240 volt outlet in the garage for the EV, and now our pool guy said our pump wasn't working and there must be a short.  Roy always came through quickly and transparently.    On the last visit he only had to look at it for two minutes, saw something was out of place, and fixed it.  I wanted to pay at least for the visit, but he refused.  Roy is a stand-up professional who knows his stuff and doesn't try to nickel & dime you.  We cannot say enough good things about him.

If you need an electrician, I recommend you contact Roy.  I am very pleased with the project he completed for me. He is a good electrician and a professional through the entire process.

It's hard to assess his work because I don't know much about electric structure wiring but the lights go on/off like they should and the outlets power anything I plug in so yes, he is a good electrician.  What I can assess is his professionalism.  This is what impressed me:

Great communication - he was in constant contact with me through the process often giving me real-time options on my project.  He even contacted me after the project to make sure I was satisfied with the work.

Timely - 7:30 a.m. Monday means exactly what he says.

Value - he bid the work, gave a price and delivered as agreed.  What impressed me is that, as he got into the project, he was very willing to include other improvements without nickle-and-dime charges.

My project was a garage rewire.  Two remodels to a 50s-era house left my garage wiring a disaster with some exterior lights that no longer worked.  Roy rewired the lights and improved the outlet wiring so I can eventually dry wall the garage.  I have already showed him my next electrical project and will definitely use him for it.

BTW - after years of lurking reviews on Yelp, I have finally decided to pay back with a review of my own.

My 2-month old dishwasher was not powering on so I scheduled an appt for a service call with Bosch. One of my dedicated lines in my home must have had too many appliances working at the same time, which blew a fuse out yesterday -Sunday. I called Roy, who answered his phone immediately. So, Roy is my new best friend. He totally came through for me in the last three days.

I called him up, using Yelp's reviews as a guide, and asked him to take a look at the electrical work that had completely gone out in my pool area. This was an area that had not been addressed in years and was simply a mess. I was not surprised that I was now having problems.

Roy showed up the same day, on time, completely neat and clean and polite.
He assessed the situation. I was not surprised by what he discovered and he gave me a couple of choices to fix the problem. We worked together on a game plan, and then he went to work the next two days with his crew making the fix happen. The crew he brought in were polite, clean, professional and totally quiet while they performed their job (a big time deal because they were working underneath my home office!)

After they were finished, we discovered another problem that had nothing to do with the work Roy was doing... and no surprise, he stayed with me  and followed through with someone he trusted to perform the job. I could have gotten someone else, probably by using yelp, but I trusted that Roy would take care of the situation at a good price, and he did.

I now sit here... with my electrical situation 100 times better than before, up to code, and totally reasonable cost wise. And the job Roy, and RG Electric performed was not only as he promised, but better.

I know it sounds like we cut a deal and I'm shilling for RG Electric. I'm not. I just got professional service, very rare nowadays... and a new best friend, an electrician I can count on for future problems.

This company previously did work on our condo -- we have since purchased a house that needed work. So we called them back. They relocated our electrical box from one side of the house to the other, updated boxes, added two ceiling lights into bedrooms that had none, fixed lights on our outdoor stairs and added gfi's to our bathroom. All this work was done in two days with complete professionalism. The crew was kind, dealt with having our dog and two year old very interested in their work and cleaned up after all the work. Again I highly recommend RG Electric for big or small projects!

The wine room refrigeration unit in my house wasn't working properly. I recently purchased this house and this was my first experience with this type of thing. The first electrician I hired spend almost an hour trying to figure out the unit and in the end was unsuccessful. About a week later, I called Roy at RG electric Inc. He came out few hours after I called and had the unit off within about 5 minutes. It just needed to be unplugged and he knew exactly where to look. He didn't charge me because he said he could not in good conscience charge me for literally pulling a plug out of the wall. He's friendly, professional and I will definitely hire him to fix the other electrical issues that come along with purchasing a new property.

Roy to the rescue..
My wife bought an electric car in December and we also purchased a LEVEL 2 car charger that required professional installation. I started making phone calls after reviewing yelp and I called 5 different electricians around the Hawthorne area and two of them actually live in my neighborhood. I had to leave a message to some of them whom never called me back and others told me that it was too difficult to do or did not have time 'cause they were booked until January. One guy was so confused whether he could have done the job or not that he asked me to sent him pictures of my house,pics of my electrical box and crawl space, my garage and pics of my wife's car. A that point I almost gave up. Then I choose to look outside my area for help and I found RG Electric on Yelp with good reviews. I gave them a call and Roy called me back 5 minutes after, he understood exactly what I was talking about and told me that he was at another job site 30 miles away and he was almost done and could have been at my house in the next 45 minutes, I was very surprised. Forty five minutes after Roy shows up, he looked around the house and inside the garage and after giving me a very reasonable quote he told me that he could have started the job right the next day, and so he did. The next afternoon the job was done by three gentlemen and not only they finished installing the LEVEL 2 car charger but they also brought power in my garage with 2 power outlets and one light switch. When done they swept my garage and thanked me for my business, now that is what I call good service..Roy and his crew earned my business for life and all the good recommendations.

The tenant in my rental house was scared by a burning smell behind wall in kitchen.  I knew I needed a licensed electrician to check it out.
I was attracted by the 5 star reviews and the Yelp $50 for $120 deal.  I was told that the deal was not valid for the service call, which was an expensive $115.  He said not to purchase the Yelp voucher and that he would give me a deal on any work beyond the service call.
Roy arrived before me and had already checked things out without finding a specific cause for the smell.  He told me he was not trying to sell me anything then tried to get me to rewire my whole house for $7200.  The house was built in 1956 and has two 15 amp and two 20 amp circuits plus a double one for the air conditioner.  All outlets are the older two prong type.  There is no doubt that it would be good to upgrade to the newer standard but it is not necessary as long as one does not overload the circuit no matter how new it is.
While the web site says he accepts credit cards, he would only take a check.
He might be a very good electrician but I did not like his business model.
The tenant called later that night and said her freezer was not working.  It turned out that her refrigerator relay burned out and was the source of the smell.  There was nothing wrong with the house wiring.

I called 2 other electricians before finding Roy and RG Electric--2 electricians that were well-reviewed on Yelp, I should add.  Both of them completely blew me off.  It was infuriating.  Roy came over right away to see what we needed (some motion detectors, fixing a light switch and replacing the doorbell) and he came back with his guys first thing the next morning.  They were fast and efficient and pleasant.  I will definitely be calling them again in the future!

Great experience with Roy and this company.  Had a few minor electrical problems in my house - a hanging lamp that went out, dead outlet, and a weird flickering lamp.  Roy was friendly, fast, and showed me what he was finding and explained everything to me.  It was great to have a professional take the mystery out of some nagging problems, and gave me a tip on fixing one particular problem in the future without calling someone out.  I'd add that they came by same day and were great about communicating with me regarding when they were going to be there. RG Electric succeeded where others have failed! We lost all power at our outdoor patio area. Prior to RG Electric, we had a different company come over, and they didn't identify and resolve the issue over the course of several visits.

This is my first yelp review because they are that good!  Prompt, courteous, clean and reliable. We called RG Electric after seeing their reviews on yelp and can now verify the great service! Roy and his crew arrived on time and fixed what we thought was going to be a lengthy and costly problem in less than an hour for a minimal charge.  Everything was left clean and Roy was very professional and exceptionally nice, explaining exactly what the problem had been and its solution.  We highly recommend RG Electric and will continue to use him for all our electric issues in the future.

We hired Roy at RG Electric for the second time since we bought our home. The first time was to do major re-wiring work inside our home, grounding our garage, adding and moving outlets etc. This time we hired him to come back and work on exterior lighting; installing motion sensor lights, landscape lighting, path lights, and also to add some permanent string lights over our patio. He designed the lighting beautifully, had wonderful suggestions and even installed an indoor switch for the string lights which I didn't even think we could have.  Always on time and extremely professional, I was very happy again with the job.  More than just an electrician, Roy will help you with lighting design and concept as well.  Strongly recommend.

I called Roy from RG electric and he was honest, professional, and reasonably priced.  He worked with my schedule and arrived on time.  His work was quick and done with ultimate care for my condo.  I like Roy and his company so much I have added him to my address book in my phone so I can easily contact him and recommend him to my friends.  I would wholeheartedly recommend this company to anyone who needs electric work done in their homes.

I needed  some electrical work done at my home and i found Rg electric.the main electrican his name is roy he knows his work inside out I showed him what I needed done we agreed on a price he finished his work without any extras along the way his crew did a nice job they kept everything clean.and I would definitely use them again..

Roy is the best electrician I've hired in the area; I would definitely recommend him.  He is responsive, caring and knows his stuff!  He fixed every electrical issue that I had and even advised on some that were outside of the scope of work that I hired him for.  He worked around my busy schedule and made sure that I was satisfied when everything was done.  Really nice and competent guy!  Plus, he's got a great sense of humor.

When I booked RG Electric, I was hoping 10 pages of 5 star reviews wouldn't be wrong and they weren't! We hired Roy to install recessed lighting in our family room. We have a decorative ceiling in a new construction house so making sure the finish was clean and matched was key. Roy did an awesome job - looks as if the lights were always a part of the design. Not only that, he was right on time, got it done quickly and the work was clean, barely knew he was there. I highly recommend RG and will use Roy from now on for all of my electrical needs.

Roy is a nice guy, easy to communicate with, listened to my needs, suggested good options and gave a fair estimate. When his guys showed up to do the work, they were on time and fast.  They were courteous and clean as they worked throughout the house. I told Roy about two other electrical problems, and he investigated them and offered to fix those for free.  I will call these guys back for my next electrical needs.

Roy is simply the best. After having 3 electricians give me some crazy estimates, Roy came in and saved the day.....and my bank account! He is prompt, professional, knowledgeable, fast working, and most importantly honest. You can trust him. He does quality work at an extremely fair price. I can't say enough about Roy. After years of looking for a knowledgeable, reliable, honest electrician, I've found ROY from RG Electric - I called with a problem early this morning, and within a few hours, he was at the house (exactly when he said he would be) and fixed my problem immediately. I was so happy, I asked him to inspect two or three other problems, and he handled them. He's excellent at explaining exactly what the problem is in layman's terms that make sense. I will trust him with all my electrical from now on - HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION!

I needed the separate guest apartment in my house(done in the 70's) rewired for more modern power requirements.  An overloaded circuit had already caused a near fire. Roy showed up early on a Sunday to give me a free estimate, waited till the appointment time before ringing my bell and  shortly thereafter sent me an  estimate for the work which was very reasonable.  He broke it down for me into stuff  I needed to do right away and stuff he recommend I do when I can, as I requested. On the work date his crew (and him) again showed up early and respectfully waited outside before the appointment time. They were actually working at the start of the appointment time, no messing around just ready to go  right away. Roy laid out the work, and left his 3 men. They were totally professional and installed 4 new circuits as well as cleaning up a decades old wiring nightmare under my home, new boxes and cover plates where needed all in less than a day. Just did a completely professional job, from start to finish. RG relieved a huge amount of worry and stress, and this job also required some discretion.  Prompt , Courteous , Professional, Excellent pricing. Mr. Griner besides being an excellent electrician is fluent in at least 4 languages. I was very happy with the work and the experience and Roy and his crew will be doing additional electrical work at my home, just as soon as I can afford to have them back.  Roy and RG Electric  has my highest recommendation.

Roy and his team are fantastic! They installed outdoor lights at my home that came out beautifully. They are punctual, efficient, trust worthy and took the proper time to explain the work to me before doing anything. I have mixed feelings about the work that RG Electrical did at my home. They did good work, but there were several issues that had to be worked through. What impressed me was that any time I raised a concern, Roy would make sure it was immediately fixed, but I would have preferred if there weren't issues to fix in the first place. I was also frustrated that Roy said it would take five days, but really he meant it would be five days to install the electrical, then waiting three days for the city inspector to come, and then another four days of patching and finishing up. I would have liked a clearer timeline. Another frustration is that Roy only gave me a quote for the electrical work, but not the patching of the holes. So RG Electric seemed super-cheap compared to competitors, but then there was an additional $2,700 patching job that came later. I would have preferred to know how much the patching was going to cost beforehand, and if I had known, I probably would have gone with a different company. But in the end, I think they did decent electrical work at my house, and Roy was quick to fix any problems I brought up throughout the process.

I had major electrical issues with my condo.  Another electrical company would not even give me a quote.  Called RG Electric, and Roy came to the house to suggest a solution:  Replace the entire sub-panel and add 3 dedicated lines.  The work was done within the week.  They were knowledgeable, good for their word, and great on customer satisfaction.  I highly recommend them if you are in need of a professional electrician.

found RG Electric via yelp search and called to get a quote for wiring a spa / jacuzzi in my yard.  Roy ( who everyone on yelp seems to adore) shows up on time, looks at the job and quotes me a fair price.  the job involved breaking stucco  to access the panel / grinding concrete / digging a trench for the conduit / installing a switch at the main panel and installing a sub panel/  wiring the hot tub.  He shows up at 7am, he and his guy get the whole job done at the quoted price, and he throws in an outlet rewire for no additional fee.  they work clean and fast.  Decided to use him for another (larger) job later this week.  he earned my business.  looking forward to working with him in the future.  cool guy too.  no BS.

RG Electric was very responsive and friendly, and made time to come check out some plugs for us a couple days after I first contacted them.  The work was done quickly and professionally, and we're very happy to have everything working again.  Definitely satisfied, and highly recommend -- many other companies in the area would not call me back or follow up, and I appreciate Roy's responsiveness and willingness to get someone out for a small job quickly.

Roy came to the rescue when I had smoke coming out of my bathroom outlets due to an overload.  (Pretty scary stuff!) He was prompt and took the time to explain exactly what needed to be fixed in my older home and why. He and his electrician were neat and pleasant to have in my home. The pricing was very fair. Roy is definitely my go to guy for all things electric!

We were extremely happy with the service and competence of Roy and his crew previously and so when we had an electrical issue develop recently we called RG Electric. They, again, came through at the highest levels of responsiveness and expertise on short notice and were reasonably priced. We will continue to use their services whenever we need electrical work or even just electrical advice (which Roy was so patiently willing to take time to do when we needed it).  We highly recommend RG Electric.

Superb professional company. I needed a very small project completed. Addition of 1 power receptacle and change out a light switch. I called to schedule an estimate and they were able to schedule this for the same day. Quote was better than anyone else and they were able to schedule my job that week. Once they started working they needed to do some additional work to complete the job. There was NO additional cost for the minor additional work. The guys were on time, clean, quote=final cost. Will definitely use them again and recommend to anyone needing an electrician.

RG Electric showed up quickly; his guys covered and protected my new flooring, and completed all electrical work efficiently.  Roy was able to provide a team for the necessary patching and painting both inside and out.  He even followed up to assure all work had been completed to my satisfaction.

I was provided a complete written estimate and there were no surprises!  His rates were competitive and for the quality I received I would say, they are the best out there.  Roy even went above and beyond the call and removed old wiring left behind by landscapers in yard, with no extra charge.

I will be calling Roy for future electrical work as I rennovate an old 50's Ranch Home.  I trust and highly recommend RG Electric.

I have multiple properties and have dealt with other electricians over the last several years. RG Electric is by far the most timely, fairly priced and professional.  Roy answered his phone right away.  I described my problem over the phone and he arrived quickly and on time for a relatively urgent electrical problem. He immediately diagnosed the problem and gave me a free estimate.  Since I don't know much about electrical issues, I got 2 more estimates for the problem and consulted my contractor. It turned out that Roy's estimate was very reasonable and fair.  RG Electric got the work done quickly and professionally.  A few weeks later, I had another electrical problem and he again got the work done quickly and professionally and charged a fair price.  For all of our future electric problems, we will definitely be using RG Electric.

Look no further for an excellent electrician. I called after 5pm on a weekday and to my surprise, we were able to schedule an appointment for the next morning! Basically, all the outlets went out in my daughter's room and within minutes of arriving, Roy discovered the issue (poor wiring). Problem solved and fixed in under an hour. So fast and easy.

I called RG electric and met with Roy at my property-He did not charge me for the call. He gave me an estimate offering a couple of options and recommendations to solve an ongoing breaker's  problem due to an outdated panel.
Prior to reaching a decision on what I was going to do, I got a text on a Friday evening from my tenant that the lights had gone out again- It was between Christmas and New Year.  
I texted  Roy and asked if he could go up to the house to check it out. Roy responded immediately and said that he was going on a trip  with his family  the following morning, however he promised to go check the problem at 7:00 am, prior to his departure. I confirmed with the tenant, who agreed to let Roy in personally in the morning to explain the problem.
Roy showed up on time, however  my tenant did not open the door and slept right though it.. Roy wasted at least two hours of his morning, did not charge me for the service call and was very gracious about it. I was disappointed by my tenant that he could be that  inconsiderate of someone's time. This was a weekend emergency service call after all.  I felt embarrassed for having interrupted his trip with my urgent request. Again he did not charge me for this call.
The following week I hired RG Electric  to install the sub-panel and new breakers and Roy was right on time.
My tenant again, tested Roy's patience by stalling his crew of three electricians for a good half hour, this time he answered the door and said he had to go take a shower  before he could let us in the garage to start working. Luckily I was present and hurried my tenant along.
I have hired Roy's crew  again for another job. Roy runs a good company, he is reasonable. reliable, professional and very knowledgeable. I trust this company and would highly recommend them. Being that I am realtor and deal with a lot of property management I value and support  companies like RG Electric.

Roy and his team were great.  They came out and gave me an estimate for work I wanted, as well as provided some alternatives that would work just as well while saving me money at the same time.  The work was done quickly and Roy checked in afterwards to make sure everything worked as desired.  He also fixed work that I had a general contractor do a while back but was done very poorly.  His pricing for this fix, which wasn't originally part of the scope, was fair and it made my home safer.  So far so good and would definitely recommend him and use him myself again.

I called Roy, when I had to fire my previous General Contractor mid kitchen redo.   His team is very professional and respectful. Returns calls quickly, shows up when he says he will.   Licensed and bonded my confidence was restored!   He added a additional power line from the box in our townhouse garage, up through the wall and into the kitchen.    
We installed beautiful bright white overhead LED lights on a dimmer and LED against a wall.   The under the cabinet  lights are absolutely beautiful, and required the installation of dimmer control boxes, that were discretely hidden inside our new cabinets. He had to cut the back of one cabinet to install the dimmer box  flat behind the microwave. Neatly done.    
We also had cable lines run from the under cabinet DVR, through the wall, and up to a wall mounted TV.   The garbage disposal  power was left un-working by the previous GC.  Roy fixed that, added a proper outlet , with additional grounding plug for the water filter.              
Roy had to tear up walls to add additional light switches to avoid drilling through my new cabinets. He recommended a drywall paint expert he had worked with before.  Together they were a great team and got the job done in two days.    
Now here it is, two months later, and one of the undercabinet LED lights failed.  Roy called me back immediately, and came to replace the failed light in two days, at no charge.   I am looking forward to having him back to add lights to my living room.    

Thanks Roy.  I feel very safe. Paid  1/2 check 1/2 credit card.  Worth the price.
I wish I had pictures to share.  It's amazing what good lighting design will do for a little galley kitchen like ours.
