Best customer service of all Savant and home automation.
I had struggled with Savant, until this company came and solved all our installation, hardware and software problems.
Sent a request to get a quote on a Savant equipment repair and upgrade via Yelp on Dec 29th. No response so sent another messaging on 1/5 thinking it perhaps got lost during the Holidays. Owner responded on 1/10 asking for additional information which I provided and said they would get back to me after reviewing our information. It is now 1/19 without a response - that's three weeks without a quote. Perhaps our small job does not fit their profile, but either way their responsiveness is very poor.
I have been struggling with my wifi for quite some time now. Now, all that has changed.
At first, I was told (by others) that I didn't have a fast enough plan, so I changed it but keep being dropped. So I changed my plan. The problem persisted. Then someone else (not Regent 5) said I need a strong router; so I spent $300 on a router. It didn't fix the issue. I finally gave up and called Regent5.
The owner is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, kind, and patient. As were the person that coordinated my service appointment, and the technicians that came and installed the equipment.
I now have a fast, reliable internet and can focus on my business.
I highly recommend Regent5. In fact, I have already sent them referrals and feel confident in doing so after my experience.

Terrible and not proactive at all with installing what they promise on time. Technical capabilities vary tremendously across these people and they appear not to be able to communicate with each other at all. Needed multiple reminders to fix issues they had created.

The Regent5 team was very professional and easy to work with. We needed installation of automated shades and lighting throughout our home. They also helped automate our garage door, sound and lights through a central mobile app. They kept everything quite tidy as they were doing their work and were responsive throughout the process.
Professional, courteous, and kind, the people at Regent5 have been extremely helpful in assisting me with my IT support needs. They patiently answered all of my questions and made it very clear that they are very knowledgeable about anything regarding computers and networking.

I can't recommend a business with more enthusiasm than I have for Regent5. Every step of our appointment and service installation was incredible and easy. Quick response, easy estimate process, professionalism and superlative service. I just moved here from Oregon, needed better wi-fi connection, network configuration and wire consolidation, TV service in 2 bedrooms, and connection for our Sonos sound bars. As an added bonus, Cham helped set up my Ring and solved billing and service issues I was having with Comcast. Awesome crew and follow up support. There is no doubt that I will always call Regent5 for any IT support needs. Professionalism at its highest level!

Cham and David gave an extremely professional consultation. They looked at the place where I was considering to install a home theater, talked to me about all the different options and were very clear about the problems I could run into (i.e. too much light). They shared very rough estimates of costs for systems and labor. They went beyond that and looked at other parts of my home that could be better suited, and even suggested less expensive options (e.g., large TV instead of projector), clearly prioritizing my happiness as a client over how much money they would make. Highly recommended
I live in the Hayward Hills and I was having problems with my WiFi connection which affected my Sonos system, Cell phone connectivity and other computer equipment that requires WiFi.
I tried several remedies to resolve the issue like buying an Orri and other WiFi extenders. None worked.
Regent5 came to my home and resolved all of my WiFi issues. Their staff is professional and knowledgeable and always available to me when I had questions.

We engaged with Cham and Regent5 during construction and he was involved with all the low voltage wiring for our house for the AV and security system. He was involved throughout to make sure he was installing things as the general contractor needed it. Since completion, his team has installed all the AV and security systems both inside and outside the house.
Cham recommended all devices including music system, televisions, and cameras. He heard our needs and found solutions that fit both our needs and our budget. He's aware of the changes in technology and makes sensible decisions given what's coming. He's engaged with our cable company and alarm company to make sure everything works as expected.
In addition to Cham, there is a great team at Regent5, each an expert in his area. Cham and his team are pleasure to work with - professional and responsive and one of the most collaborative, friendly teams I've worked with.
I could not recommend Cham, his team and Regent5 more highly.

I really can't say enough good things about Regent 5. They have installed our wifi, intercom system, electric car chargers, security and video surveillance for our home. It's an older house so it was not all straight forward. In addition to the setup, Regent 5 has been very responsive to service calls. I would definitely recommend them for any home tech needs!

Cham asked I come to their studio (pre covid). Then we wasted another hour of my life doing a walk through of my house. Then didn't return my calls when I asked for a quote and to move forward. No explanation why, just didn't return any calls. I suspect my $30k project was too small during this hot period of home construction but give me a break - don't waste my time and then disappear. I found a home automation company in the east bay, feel free to message me for the name.
The Regent5 team is responsive, knowledgeable and effective. They can resolve unexpected issues and leave the site clean and working. I am a repeat customer and will use them again when we need them.
we had a great experience with Regent5. i was never oversold equipment even though I was pushing to get more things. Cham was honest about what I needed and what would actually be worth the cost. when it came to install day, Abraham did great work taking care of the surrounding areas and helping answer any questions I had about the system and any future upgrades i might want to do.
Not only did I get the most super duper awesomeness of a home theater experience when R5 guys installed new gear to upgrade my home theater I now have voice controlled lights with amazon alexa for home automation and a cool light system.

Cham and his team did an excellent job wiring our entire home (4 rooms and a garage). The work looks really good, it was easy to hand off to our internet provider's technician, and the entire team at Regent 5 communicated very clearly when they would arrive to start work.
My wife and I were new to the requirements of wiring a house, and the Regent 5 team was very patient when working with us (at least once coming back to redo work they had done because we had told them incorrectly).

I've waited over 5 months since Cham did a walkthrough at my place and I still have not gotten a quote on a project that included full a/v and security builds at my house. I've reached out a few times reminding them of this quote request and I was consistently ignored.
I understand that sometimes companies are busy, and even asked them to just let me know if for any reason the project at my place was not a fit for them. Completely ignoring potential customers is very unprofessional and disappointing.

Regent 5 was wonderful. They updated our internet and we now can use it from anywhere in our house. They also installed a Nest thermostat. Nothing is easy in our old house with very challenging wiring, but Cham, Abraham and Ullysis made it seem standard. When we had some difficulty with our new Nest thermostat they immediately sent out one of the guys to straighten it all out. Regent 5 is very professional during this COVID time being very careful and wearing masks. Again they were all excellent, very nice and certainly deserve the full 5 stars!

We hired Regent5 for fire alarm installation in a mult-unit office/warehouse space in Burlingame. We worked with Tony on this project and he was a professional who kept us posted on the progress including working with the City of Burlingame to get final certification. Cham was always reachable and responsive as well when we had questions and issues. It was a pleasure working with Regent5.
I have been battling with the control4 system at my home for three years now and decided enough is enough. After some extensive research and a few calls to home theater installers and audio video contractors I found the Regent5 squad on Yelp. It also greatly helped the fact that one of my neighbors had used them for installing security and video surveillance. They walked me through all the options and offered me three packages for a full AV, Lighting, Home theater, Security, Wifi overhaul. A simple package, a deluxe package and the full works package. I choose the deluxe package with a Savant system for home automation.
They did a great job from the wiring, installation to teaching me how to use the system. Five stars to the company and their work ethic.

Usually I am not lost for words .. especially on Yelp. I am however, beyond words that would adequately describe the AWESOMENESS that is Cham and Regent5.
We hired Regent5 after finding them on Yelp. Promptly returned our inquiry, arrived at the appointment at the appointed time, took a look around and spent a good amount of time asking us exactly what our concerns and needs were . Within a week we had an estimate and gave the thumbs up to get into Cham's already packed schedule. He slotted us in 60 days later and guess what? YES! Started on the day he initially promised.

We had a few ups and downs along the way, partially because of a change in personnel during our construction, but overall we are pleased with the end result and the service.
I recently became a new home owner and called Regent5 after it being highly recommended by a friend. They were able to help me put together the home theater I wanted and they also installed wireless access points so there's great wifi all throughout the house! A plus because they let me know of other services they offer such as computer support and IT services; just in case I ever need it. I'll be contacting them soon again to install a home automation system next!

We finally got a smart TV and were trying to see if we could get our ancient DVD/VCR player to work with it. This is a tiny job compared to the main scope of Regent5's business, but Cham came out twice to help with the problem, got us a reasonable solution, and also charged us an incredibly reasonable fee for everything he did. I got a very quick response to my initial email request for help -really fast! They are responsive and easy to deal with, very friendly.
The Regent5 team was referred to us by our building contractor who had worked with them previously. We hired this company to manage our estate and all the audio video, electrical, security and technology needs. They installed a Lutron Radio Ra2 lighting system, home theater, Sonos music, Savant home automation along with major electrical rewiring work. We also had them complete network wiring for our home office for extended WiFi wireless coverage as well as manage our IT services and computer support for office personnel. We're delighted with this company and all their efforts, and six months into this relationship we couldn't be happier with this organization and their crew.
Cham and Regent5 are great. After some really bad luck with another vendor (here's a tip: if a sales guy ever says But I won't make any money if I do that! then find another firm) I asked for a home automation system that I could program and change myself, as my husband and I are both highly technical and want to own the stuff in our house, not just license it. After no other vendors would even respond to me, Cham finally did. Instead of upselling me on Control4 or Savant -- which both have their uses, just not in my home -- he told me to just go with Harmony. He was the only vendor with the correct answer.
He and his team came in, yanked out all of the old stuff, put down drop cloths and taped up dust shields, and went to town. In three days I had things mounted and reinstalled and working perfectly.
Cham is trustworthy, smart, and best of all he listens to your needs and sells you what will solve your problem, not what will make him the most money. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

What a great company! Had an issue with a subwoofer so I called Regent5 to troubleshoot. The tech was able to quickly identify the issue and told me the wires were set up wrong originally from the other crappy company I used before and it caused the Amp to short out.
He was so informed that he told me the subwoofer manufacturer offers a 2 year warranty and got me the contact information to get it resolved. Then he marked each wire for me so I would know the exact way to install once I got the warranty replacement back.
Can't say how wonderful this company is. Very much appreciate the service and knowledge offered.

Jumping back in to Yelping because Cham and Regent 5 are that good! About 6 weeks ago they did some network work for our office suite. Prior we had slow unreliable internet and our employees were annoyed and not very productive. Enter Cham and his guys. They showed up on a Saturday (and 15 minutes early!) to make sure we made all the changes when there was no one in the office. They not only made our network 100X better they made sure I fully knew how to work everything and spent time explaining what wasn't working before and what to expect with our new set up. I was super impressed with how professional, kind, and quick Cham and crew got us up and running. Would 100% recommend!

I wanted to wait a few months to evaluate the systems that Regent5 installed at our Woodside residence and that moment has arrived. Cham and his crew upgraded both our alarm/fire and network systems as they were over 10yrs old and problematic. We have a fairly extensive property with 3 buildings all networked together but that did not phase Regent5! I was so pleased at the quality of workmanship and detail used by this crew especially on the alarm end of things where Tony had to build the entire system main board from scratch due to it's size and complexity - it didn't fit their standard enclosure. I got to watch some of this and was amazed at how professionally done it was and how great it all looked with the new touch screen system. So much easier to understand and use than any previous system we've had. Just love it!
Same story on the network upgrade - all work done professionally and correctly the first time. Where we had some long runs between buildings required determination to replace an older, slower fiber optic line but the guys got it done and now we have excellent coverage overall where in some places it was missing before. So glad Regent5 was using the same commercial mesh routers I had specified for the job when I first spoke with them. We replaced a lot of hardware and after almost a year everything is operating perfectly, as I expected it should. I couldn't be happier that I used Regent5 for our project and would recommend them for any home large or small. They proved their value and were a very courteous, attentive group.

Regent 5 just finished installing commercial grade WiFi access points on every level of our house. Now we have zero dead spots and full WiFi access everywhere (including the backyard). They were fast, cost effective, knowledgeable and most importantly professional. I also appreciated there were no hard up-selling of services that I didn't need. Needed help with my Savant remote and was getting frustrated with the slow response from the person who set up my system. So I called Regent 5 on a weekend planning to leave a VM but actually got a live person who set up an appt with me for the next business day. Cham came out and not only fixed it but also showed me how to troubleshoot in case it happened again. Easy solution at a reasonable cost. Impressed!
I wish I had found Regent5 sooner. After years of struggling with a cobbled-together home tech system that never worked right plus several failed attempts by other companies to diagnose and fix it all, I finally got an answer and a solution from Regent5. They fixed slow/intermittent internet, weak WiFi, an improperly configured security camera system, a Sonos system that was mickey-moused together in a way that barely worked, and a few other critical things. They tested wiring, speeds, and settings, replaced what needed to be re-done (including sending someone up in the attic to run wires), set up the network, security system, home audio, and configured everything to work properly. They brought everything with them on install day (they purchased the equipment based on a detailed upfront evaluation) and explained exactly what they were doing at every step. No up-sell or pressure. The price was reasonable given their expertise and professionalism and they were absolutely top-notch all around. I will be working with them again on some extensions. These guys do home wiring/networking, computer configurations, backup systems, connectivity, everything to do with home security and camera security systems, home theater, audio (indoors and out), WiFi, ... THEY EVEN CALL COMCAST SO I DON'T HAVE TO... and every kind of home automation you can think of. And, bonus, they take privacy and security seriously and made some smart recommendations on that front. They fixed everything on my list and explained what/why so I can be self-sufficient with settings. Total pros with a vetted and carefully trained team.
After 10 years of fidgeting with my last A/V-IT guru - which never quite produced the end result my family was looking for - I went on a search for a new expert. FOUND IT - Regent5. With the huge following of positive reviews on Yelp I invited Cham over to review the house. Apparently Cham has a photographic memory because we walked a 4K sf house with Four bedrooms, 3 entertainment rooms, plus outdoor and he never took notes (he didn't miss anything). Cham gave solid value add advice on scope of work and product options. His crews were respectful and diligent. NOW - I am very very particular on details for systems. Many would say bordering on obsessive. Cham and his team came back multiple times to work with me to continue to tweak and upgrade components. Including a semi-custom remote set up for all my rooms which I was requesting. All products and all service was fantastic with Cham and Regent5. Highly recommended. Seriously.
We had some issues with the WiFi in our home, which impacted the ability of my family to do work (I work from home) and schoolwork (for my kids) effectively. Upon reading the many positive reviews on Yelp, we decided to contact Regent5. We have since worked with them a couple of other times and are always thrilled with their service. My husband and I had an outdated system that was in dire need of replacement. Cham was able to easily recommend a solution that took into consideration both our budget, and how we interacted with our equipment. His setup allows us to fully appreciate all of the most current technology, but does so in a intuitive manner.

My husband originally hired Cham to straighten out and expand our AV and IT capabilities in our home. It was clear from the first time he came to the house that he was beyond knowledgable and incredibly talented at his craft. Not only did he unscramble my husband's mess, but he was able to diagnose and configure everything so that even I could understand and use it! Anytime we have a problem or something goes wrong, I'll text him and he'll try and and walk me through the problem. If it's not fixable over the phone, Cham is here in a heartbeat. Cham at AV Druids did a wonderful job setting up our home entertainment system in three rooms. He took a tangle of wires, unsightly equipment and multiple remotes and turned chaos into beauty by moving the wires and equipment into closets/behind walls and programming single, universal remotes for each room. He also diagnosed some intermittent internet and Wi-Fi issues with our home networking setup, and will be streamlining the system for optimum performance.
Cham is very knowledgeable and professional, and is conscientious about his work. He will definitely be our go to guy for any future AV/home automation needs!
Cham and his team did a seamless job in our house. Finally we found a company that is knowledgeable about what they are doing. Our whole security system, A/V and light system is right now a pleasure to live with!

They have zero follow-up, don't stand by the products they install and pass any blame for broken (recently installed) equipment on to the homeowner.
Cham, was fantastic! He came to our house on the weekend and after a through examination of the problem determined that the fault was NOT as the AT&T technician had tried to claim, a short in the wiring inside of our house, but the fault was in fact due to the ineptitude of the AT&T technician who had not only failed to notice that the wiring inside of the MPOE telecom box had corroded and burnt, but in trying to assess the problem the AT&T technician had actually cut off the phone feed line going into the house from the outside telecom box. Seriously... If you want or need a reliable, trustworthy high quality low voltage wiring service Cham and AV Druids is the place to call!

I called up a few places for home automation and structured wiring, picked Cham and his team because I liked the answers I got from him during our initial consult. Two weeks after our meeting Cham's staff came in and did the pre wiring for our home remodel with new speaker wiring, cat7, fiber, electrical, and the audio video terminations for some home automation gizmos. I was planning on using Control4 as my neighbor but Cham convinced me to go with Savant. Loving the app based system for controlling the whole house. We plan on having them back in six months for the second phase of our remodel.
Cham at Regent 5 has done work for me in my home for over the last ten years. I have had nothing but wonderful results with him. He has come up with high quality, cost friendly ways for me to get my home AV the way I want.
They are on time, courteous and the whole 9 yards. I will continue to have them make upgrades and changes for years to come and have no hesitation about recommending them to anyone.
All the positive reviews on Yelp for Regent 5 and Cham are spot on. Cham installed a home surveillance system, our home network and our a/v systems. He is a great listener and happy and extremely helpful in working with a budget, dealing with our quirks and preferences, and in repurposing equipment where it makes sense. He is very knowledgeable about the technology and adept at adjusting to our level of savvy.
As others have mentioned, our work entailed wiring and rererouting a fair amount of cable. His crew was clean, neat and efficient. We cannot tell where they had to patch the walls and ceilings.
Although he is extremely busy (we suspect that he gets a lot of referrals and repeat business), he is responsive and cheerful. No question that we would use him again and have already recommended his services to friends.

We wanted to have outdoor surveillance cameras installed. I requested quotes from many companies. Only two came out to look at the house. Everyone else just emailed me random quotes. Cham came out on a Sunday. I had the notion of installing outdoor Nest Cams. Only Cham gave me advice on the poor quality of outdoor Nest Cams compared to a traditional system, and the security problems with outdoor Nest Cams (needing AC power, wifi access, etc.) I was very impressed with how thorough he was in explaining everything to me.
We ended up having a traditional system installed and couldn't be happier with the results. His team was professional, meticulous, and courteous. They did not leave any mess. The installation was efficient and beautiful. The camera quality was fantastic. Most of all, his price was very reasonable.
We also found out he does AV and entertainment systems, and will be using him again for our home entertainment system upgrade. I highly recommend this company!

Highly recommend Regent5. Top notch service for your internet and cable TV needs. Very knowledgeable, professional and helpful. Our wireless router was not powerful enough to cover all our needs (house, detached garage and home office), so Cham and his team installed a hardwired internet system from the house to small home office located in rear of yard. We worked with the Regent5 team for our home theater in our San Francisco home, and we were so happy about it that we called them again for our Los Altos Hills home. Cham and his team are extremely competent and professional. We've worked with plenty of contractors and automation specialists, and Regent5 is by far the best experience we had. They helped us pick components and finalize a design for our system, and have been extremely effective in executing our projects. From taking shoes off and cleaning up after themselves, all the way to making sure everything works well, I couldn't recommend them more.
We selected Cham and Regent5 because of the stellar Yelp reviews, and we're really happy we did. He worked within our budget, and especially within our desire to set up a modular, easy to upgrade system. I highly recommend Cham, he's knowledgeable, personable, and efficient. He set up a Sonos home sound system for us. I recently had him come back since we changed routers and needed to get the Sonos working again. He solved it within minutes. He will next be back to work on parental controls for a PC in our home.
Cham was a pleasure to work with! We had our house hardwired for cat6, alarm, multiple point access points, new TV's, Sonos, IP based doorbell, smart lighting and savant system. First, I rarely write reviews but home IT can be infuriating. I found Cham (Regent 5) on Yelp and having used his services with such a positive outcome I felt I should pass on the info for others to benefit as well.
Cham is a pro. He is honest and thorough. He will think through the issues you are experiencing and problem solve. He will not sell you equipment. He tells you exactly what to buy and you can shop around. He charges an hourly fee and while expensive he is efficient and complete and in the end Cheaper (in most cases) and much delivers a much higher quality solution. I will not use another provider going forward. I hope you have the same experience.
Cham and his team are excellent contractors who really know their trade. They were able to install a home audio system with ceiling speakers at a competitive price. Before the installation, Cham came out for a free consultation and provided some useful tips. On the day of the installation, his team arrived a few minutes early, covered all of the surrounding furnishings to keep things clean, and were very respectful to others in the home the whole time they were there. During the job, the team ran into some interesting challenges due to the way the house was constructed, but his team implemented their solutions professionally and without much delay. I can't imagine a contractor gig going much more smoothly than this.
Our new home came with a Lutron Radiora2 and Lutron Homeworks QS lighting and shade control system. First off, this stuff is very cool as long as you have a good team at your side to reprogram and make changes. I didn't at first, the home builder used a complete numbnuts for this and screwed the system royally. And we went through three different electrical contractors and spend a considerable amount of money trying to get the system to work properly, and no one seem to know what they were doing. At one point we even considered pulling the system out completely and going with traditional light switches and controls for the window blinds and light fixtures out of total frustration. Then we found Cham on yelp, go figure. I actually never thought of using Yelp to find an electrical contractor for something this complex but I am glad I did. Cham walked in for the initial consult where I wanted his company to help me pull the system out completely, but he convinced me not to throw away the Lutron gear and to let him reprogram the system. I was very skeptical at this point but figured I had nothing to loose. He plugs in his laptop and within 45mins, gets the ground floor lighting to work properly...amazing. Cam back four days later over the weekend and reprogrammed the whole house within 4 hours with two more of his co-workers. Presto, all the lights, and scene based keypads work beautifully. And the electric shades open and close now. Amazing team and definitely the go to company for technology needs in the bay area.

Cham came twice to my house to discuss various options to install 8 outdoor cameras and minimize the amount of work and wiring throughout the house. He is very knowledgeable about the security camera business, but what struck me even further is also his knowledge of the IT business, making many recommendations about data backup, potential usage of the cloud, as well as recommendations on routers and access points. Other security camera installers lacked that IT in-depth knowledge.
His installation team was very professional and very efficient, and the overall pricing was quite fair. Would definitely recommend!

AV Druids just finished an audio-video upgrade at my home. Cham offered excellent advice, and implementation was painless and trouble-free. He and his crew are professional. Price was right, and they make no $$ on the components you buy. I plan to use Cham for other services, such as home security.
So every once in a while I come across a company that is doing it right. I can add Regent5 to that very short list. I had an urgent issue....family coming into town, Savant system unresponsive...URRRRR. Bestbuy, as usual, slow and unresponsive. Searched out Regent5 on Yelp and Cham got my entertainment center up an running in about 15min in time for family visit. I plan to upgrade my Savant and the installation with Regent5. These guys just get it.......relationship, service, quality, value.
Found these guys very irresponsible and disorganized. Cham had hard time scheduling even the first appointment. Said he will call back.. which he never did. Though I called him many times. Can't trust.

The hype is real- Cham is a stud. I moved into a new place in Menlo park and unfortunately hired some knucklehead from Craigslist to do some additional wiring. This guy not only didn't do the job, but he screwed up the existing internet wiring. Reading the reviews on yelp, I called Cham at 6pm On Wednesday. By 730 he was at my house and by 830- he'd fixed everything. I've already booked more time with him to setup my home office and entertainment center. He's polite, friendly and most important- is a real pro.

I found Cham on Yelp after reading all the positive reviews and they were truly spot-on! If you have any home audio/video or IT needs, do not call anyone else. I just went through a major home renovation and I found Cham to be not only the friendliest and fun to work with, but he was incredibly competent, helpful in explaining things, responsive, professional, neat and best of all proactive. He would anticipate issues and address them well in advance, without me prompting. Really a breath of fresh air for those who need to deal with folks in the contractor world. We had two TVs installed and wall-mounted, wiring throughout the home in-ceiling speakers in multiple rooms and universal remotes to control everything.
He is best in class and takes his job seriously and wants to exceed your expectations. i also liked that he knew his stuff. Was up to speed on products and their strengths/weaknesses. For example, he gave me my full shopping list for everything we needed including in-ceiling speakers, receivers, remotes, etc. He also gave me options at varying price points explaining the pros and cons of each. Cham goes out of his way to make sure everything is working. When we first installed the system, there was a wifi issue and he responded to my texts while on vacation and also spent an evening FaceTiming with us so we could try to resolve the issue. We love our awesome home entertainment system! A+++!!
As I write this review, I'm enjoying the handy work from Cham and his team, listening to the music from the audio system they set up for my place. A few things to note:
1) He is very timely and responsive: I was only two weeks away from moving into my new place, and realized I forgot to get some help with setting up the audio visual system. I found AV Druids on yelp and frantically called them. Cham was able to accommodate my schedule and stopped by the next day to do an assessment. Because some of the wires have to go through the crawl space, he recommended that all the installation be done before I move in so it won't get dusty. His team managed to complete the installation before I moved in.
2) He gives GREAT recommendation on what equipment to use: The previous owners left behind an older set of equipment so Cham recommended me to sell them and replace them with a different system. What a great recommendation. I can now use my phone to control all the music and listen to podcast, radio, and any music I have on my phone in any room.
3) His design element is fantastic. I asked for a clean esthetic and to hide all the equipment and wires, and that's what I got. The audio visual elements feel tucked away and not intrusive and the room feels really clean.
With Cham's help I now feel like I'm living in the 21st Century. :-) Thank you for a fantastic job done!!

Everyone was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, efficient and patient dealing with my many questions! Cham is the tech whisperer...and a super nice guy as well. He and his team assessed my home for security vulnerabilities, recommended a video surveillance system, and installed it quickly and seamlessly. They also upgraded my WiFi and cell phone reception, with excellent results; installed a Sonos wireless sound system in my home and back yard; and rewired for and installed a flat screen TV in a tricky spot. I no longer call anyone else for my technology needs - truly, Cham's expertise is mind-boggling. If you want top-notch work done at a reasonable price to upgrade or install security, music, and/or home theater systems, fix internet/phone service issues, resolve computer problems or even just learn how to easily manage online passwords, look no further than Regent5. Cham and his team are the BEST!
Have a small office with no full time IT support. Following a friend's advice, called Regent5. Using them for all of our IT Support, Networking, and Computer Security. They are economical and things are running much smoother now!
These are the guys you want in your home installing all your tech gear. They take the time to listen and get to know your needs so that they can recommend as well as install the appropriate audio video/home theater/wifi equipment. They set up my sonos system/installed and updated all the televisions/took out the old crestron system and installed savant and security system. I have referred them to friends and family, and they have enthusiastically expressed gratitude for making the connection. Highly recommend.
We hired AV Druids to replace an old flatscreen TV that had a bad circuit board. We had an old home theatre system with AV receiver, DVD, CD player, AppleTV and iPod hook ups that channeled through multiple rooms and an outside deck. We also had an older generation DISH receiver set up in multiple rooms.
Cham came up quickly to look at the project for no charge and made excellent recommendations on upgrading the existing system and hanging a new generation flat panel TV. He also recommended we upgrade our wireless network to improve connectivity throughout the house and backyard. Cham recommended we upgrade our AV receiver, DISH receivers and universal remote and guided us to which components were best for our needs and where to get the best price.
We hired Cham and he brought a team to our house, supervised the work, tested the system, explained how to use the we universal remote and answered our questions quickly on email when we had questions after the system was in place. The team was professional, clean and efficient.
I would hire AV Druids again in a heartbeat.

Cham and team are very clear on price and service. Once they start working its all hands on deck and they deal well with unexpected challenges as often happen when trying to install new systems to old houses. Excellent value for the price and a very knowledgeable and professional install team.
My husband and his buddy tried to wall-mount our new TV themselves, and let's just say, it wasn't pretty. It was at the wrong height, angled weirdly, and they had snapped a few bolts in the process. We called 3 or 4 AV services, but we found a frustrating lack of follow-through and unresponsiveness.
We got Cham to take our call on the first try, and he was at our home within 2 days! Cham did an awesome job for us, helping us remount the TV correctly, and untangling the rat's nest of wires left behind by the previous owner. The job turned into more of a project than Cham originally anticipated, but he still just asked for his original quote. We also found out that Cham is a man of many talents, and he will be the first guy we call when we reconfigure some lighting fixtures and need electrical help.
One more thing: Cham is a really nice person, and I would not hesitate to invite him into my home at all. Call him; you won't be disappointed!
Cham and Regent 5 are fantastic at what they do - which is just about everything technology related! My wife and I have been looking for a one-stop shop when it comes to outsourced IT, AV expertise, and security/fire capabilities. These guys are able to do it all - timely and professionally. Cham is responsive, and he is usually able to do walkthrough within the week. And the project work (our security system, IT overhaul and now smoke alarms) was all done very well - neat, clean, on budget and on time. We will continue to use Cham for future needs as it is a great to know that you have a responsive technology expert available when things go wrong!
We hired Cham and team to redo our home theater setup. We moved an existing free standing setup to a hidden in-ceiling speaker system (with in wall subwoofer), and mounted TV. In addition, all of the wiring was rerouted to a nearby closet where the equipment was mounted/stored (receiver etc).
Project went great, it took about 3-4 days, the team was very professional, and cleaned up each day. End product was fantastic, sounds and looks great, and the process Cham and I went to arrive at the final build list was good - he presented ideas/ranges and I ended up selecting what I wanted. Where he considered something not a great fit he would tell you (which turned out to be right), so he guidance was great and appreciated.

We have used Regent5 for 4 years and they are the best! After struggling with other AV companies we decided to try Cham and he made everything seamless for us! Both Cham and his team are very reliable and always take the time to both set-up and explain each device. We have not had one issue with any of their work to date, including automated lights, universal remotes, security cameras, all tvs and speakers, sonos, heat lamps, chandeliers and recessed lighting. They are very precise with their work and even with the construction they did, I couldn't tell where they cut into walls and ceilings. I highly recommend them to everyone!
Chamila responded promptly when I contacted him, even though it was a weekend. If you have ever tried to get technical support you know this is amazing. He offered to come out right away. When he did show up he quickly assessed the problem we were having with network connections on our home wifi network and proposed a simple solution. Having done all of this he was prepared to leave without charging for what he had done... However I wanted some help with running some cable and relocating one of the routers so he did this for me. Total charge was very reasonable and in general I cannot say enough about his technical expertise and how he runs his business.
I really can't say enough great things about Cham and his crew. They were so helpful and very professional and took their time explaining things and kept me updated throughout all their work at my house. I would highly recommend these guys!

Regent 5 did a great job with our AV upgrade and new security system wiht 4 cameras and the dvr. The crew was prompt, careful, polite, and thorough. Cham made suggestions for the installation which resulted in a much cleaner and more presentable installation than what we originally had in mind. He also improved our internet signal strength - an added bonus for the entire house. The price was competitive and our email and phone interactions were efficient. We are happy with the results, and the systems are better than what we envisioned when we started the process.

Cham wall-mounted and rewired 2 tvs, set up several components and installed 2 surround sound systems. He installed a Sonos system throughout our house and backyard, as well. He programmed all of the remotes and gave us a helpful tutorial so that we can fully utilize all of our new toys. Cham was able to get Comcast to upgrade our antiquated internet service and installed a roof-top cell signal booster and M-cell so that we can finally get decent cell coverage in our Hillsborough home.

Cham installed an upgrade to our home theater last year and we have been very happy with his service, knowledge and honest efforts to minimize costs. Since the initial install, he has been available for phone consultations when we have questions. He even stopped by recently to run some quick diagnostics on the system and made some helpful tweaks to improve performance. Cham and his team did a fabulous job in designing a custom AV solution, advising me on equipment purchases, and installing our flat screen TV and ceiling-mounted surround sound speakers. We moved to a condo that was equipped with some older, existing ceiling-mounted, high-quality NHT speakers. These speakers were previously set up on a single channel, for lounge style music. In order to configure a 6 speaker surround-sound solution, Cham and his team removed two excess ceiling-mounted speakers, relocated two others, added a new ceiling-mounted recessed center speaker, and connected my powered subwoofer. Cham guided me through the purchase of a new AV receiver, Apple TV device, and universal remote control. He and his team did a beautiful job installing our 70 flat screen TV above the fireplace - with all wires neatly hidden. When all the equipment was installed, Cham programmed the universal remote, and tuned the speakers for the room layout. The sound is fantastic and TV viewing is just like in a movie theater. The total cost was modest and reasonable.

Very high review for Cham. I requested a universal remote setup and was easily able to schedule an appointment. Cham asked and listened to my needs and not only set up the remote, but went out to Best Buy to purchase a DVD player to replace my dying DVD which also enabled me to access Amazon Prime Video. He patiently showed me how to use the remote and showed me features on Comcast and iPhone I was not aware of. I highly recommend Cham as he is a one-stop service. He and is team are knowledgeable in video, audio, computers and more.
Cham has been such a big help, picking up where someone else left off, getting us up-to-date on our home theater system and our wireless/home computer functions. Cham, Abraham, and the rest of the Regent5 team did an outstanding job on all fronts - consulting, estimating, installing, troubleshooting and supporting - for our home project, which included installation of outside security cameras and video capture system, LED lights, upgraded master remote systems (that actually work) for two TV systems, various challenging electrical fixes and upgrades, TV sound bars, and vastly improved WiFi in the house. I've had so-called professional AV installations done before and they didn't come close to matching the quality and professionalism that Regent5 provided. In fact, Cham and his team had to fix a bunch of problems leftover from my last AV install! I contacted Cham after having had another professional work on my AV system over the course of a few months (and quite a few $) with an unsatisfactory result. Cham came in and very quickly diagnosed the problems with how the system had been set up and ways to optimize and expand its functionality. He quickly and very thoroughly redesigned features of my AV set up so that now I have a far more functional set up that is RELIABLE!!! He even did a quick correct of my IT situation that was causing difficulties with wireless connectivity in my home, and now that system is functioning at a higher capacity and with greater reliability! Cham can do it all! He's also extremely pleasant to work with - a very nice person. I look forward to re-engaging his services with an expansion of my current AV set up in the near future.
I highly recommend Cham! I initially purchased a sound bar for my TV that I thought I could easily replace myself with the existing sound bar. When I took the old sound bar off I immediately realized that I could not do it myself. It was very late in the day, around 5pm. He quickly came over to help me. That in itself was amazing. Cham does it all. He wired our house for new A/V equipment while it was under construction, and finished out the job with the complete installation, and tutorial on how it works. If I ever have an issue, I text and no matter where he is, he is ready to FaceTime to resolve the issue. He works well with construction crews, and is also great with the end user - really not easy to find in an A/V person. He works hard to understand the needs before recommending product. Also, there are no kick-backs he is getting from the products he recommends. He literally sends links to the products online and you purchase them yourself. He really wants to help you find you the best pricing. We trust him around our whole family and he was even here completing an install on Christmas Eve. Cham owns and operates his own business, which means every prospective client matters. I contacted AV Druids to help reconfigure our home media system to adapt to our new cable set-up. Initially he advised that he wasn't an authorized dealer for our existing components that Magnolia (aka Best Buy) installed several years ago. He was honest about that and said there were other technicians who could help us. There was no hard sell or duplicity about trying to steer us away from our existing set up. When we said we wanted to look at alternatives he agreed to come out to our home in Noe Valley the next day. It only took him an hour to get our multiple TV/Audio/DVD components set up, and the new universal remote he introduced is a vast improvement over our old configuration. I found AV Druids/ Cham on Yelp. After having some of my friends help me install my speaker, A/V, wireless system a year ago -- it turns out I had so many issues along the way which caused problems all the way down to the wireless. When I had a company come out to help me with my wireless (which meant remotes dependent on wireless, etc), it was a disaster. 4 hours and 320$ later -- the wireless was almost completely broken. I called Cham the next morning (saturday) and he actually made time to come out to my house that afternoon. He helped me get to the point where i could function until he could get me a list of items that he felt were much more simple and widely used (Sonos) that would get me everything I needed vs. the complicated/antiquated system i had from just a year before. I ordered everything (ps, he told me about a bunch of different technology options not just Sonos so he let me chose and explained the diff) and when it was delivered,he came and knocked everything out in one day. He scheduled to come out the following weekend to finish it up and go through a tutorial with me. It is amazing...i can't explain it. To further explain how amazing it is -- the reason i had my friend's help a year ago was b/c I contacted another company that quoted me 38K for one system and a 2nd one was 23K. With AV Druids, had I contacted them a year ago, I would have had a simple, low cost solution that was in today's technology and delivered what I needed in my house. Next step for him is to now hook up wii U for the front room, apple TV and an outdoor seamless system by re-deploying the existing sonos controller and control music in the backyard. I had been looking for some AV and security work and spent a lot of time on Yelp. After getting multiple quotes and visits, called Cham and set up a visit. Cham is thoroughly professional and a very pleasant man. He came and explained all the issues I was having and also various solutions based on cost. He helped me decide on the best option for my house (it's not a very big place). Cham and his team arrived on time and spent almost the entire day wiring and setting up my AV system. Once done, he walked me through every step and explained how to use the system. He basically made it idiot proof (I needed that :) ). After a couple weeks I had another issue with my TV in one of the rooms and Cham came by to fix it - AT NO CHARGE (on a weekend)!! His work ethic is very high and the overall cost was very affordable. I would very highly recommend Regent5 for all your home AV/security needs. I wouldn't look elsewhere.
We heard about Cham from our Realtor, who we love. She is very professional and only refers her clients to people she uses herself or have proven track records of excellent service. Cham met and exceeded our expectations! The house we purchased was already wired up but had multiple systems - which was a big challenge - cleaning up all the systems and creating one integrated high performing system; audio, video, security, high quality equipment, etc. Cham and his team came in and created a wonderful all-encompassing system. Even with multiple challenges, one being the issues w/ the Dir TV techs who continued to come in and mess-up Cham's work while trying to fix the Dir TV connection. Cham is the best. He installed a full theatre system, and left the room fully re-patched and painted. He also replaced parts of our surveillance system and upgraded our wi-fi network. At no point does he ever say this can't be done. He can accomplish any project with which he is presented regardless of existing systems/wiring/construction. Truly a find! In fact he accomplished the nearly impossible task of finally getting us hooked up to Comcast high speed internet!!

Regent 5 is a concierge, high touch, totally professional operation. We had our home wireless and entertainment issues diagnosed quickly with a delightful can-do approach. All questions were answered in as much technical detail as one wants. I have always been concerned about contractor reliability. Not with Cham. In fact I would say Cham under-promises and over-delivers. His team installed cat 6 ethernet under the house and up through the garage into various rooms, It was the cleanest and most problem-free install I have ever seen. The wireless coverage is now flawless as is the AV. Cham returned to follow-up on a few minor issues and, when he was at the house, spent whatever time was necessary to answer a few more questions and found some additional items that needed adjustment, of which I was completely unaware until he showed me. Cham runs a 5-star business and I recommend him unconditionally.
I hired a guy to install a smart home system in my house. It included lighting controls, an full AV system, speakers throughout, Netstreams, etc. They installer was a flake and left many parts of my system in disarray, and then flew the coop. I had heard of Cham through a friend of mine who had recently used him with rave reviews. Cham came to my house and I was immediately sold. Not only was he professional (calling you back promptly, explaining his costs up front and intelligently trouble shooting), but he was also a very nice guy. I would highly, highly recommend Cham to anyone who is in need of a AV specialist.

I don't write many reviews but in this case Cham is definitely worth it. He specified and installed an excellent home theater system for me and later did the same with a new Windows 7 computer system, notebook system, and wireless home network. In both cases he specified which equipment to order and showed me where to buy it at the lowest price (no mark-up). He is extremely knowledgeable, his response was timely, he completed the tasks quickly, followed up to make sure the systems worked properly and charged a very modest price. And he's a really nice guy. What more could you ask for?

I called Cham on Tuesday and he was able to come over the same day to give me a quote. The next day he arrived on time and re-wired my entire audio system. We just moved into a house with a multi-room sound system and I had no idea how to get it to work. I am so glad I found AV Druids. If I had tried to do this myself, I might have blown the whole system since it was wired all wrong. Cham took the time to fix everything and then walked me through each step. No question was too stupid for him. He was thorough and patient! Definitely well worth the money! As someone with a general understanding of A//V issues, and a Physics degree, I know a true expert from one that merely purports to be such. From the moment I engaged with Chamilla to help engineer my new upgraded HD projection theater room, it was clear that his distinctive competence in this area was enormous. Moreover, his customer service attitude was equally outstanding. At one point in the project, we had a technical glitch that he clearly could have laid at my doorstep, as I had deviated from his specified components list. Instead of going down that path of taking an arguable position to cite my alternative component as to blame, he simply manned up and put in the several hours of extra work necessary to fix the issue, with nary a word about extra charges or my culpability. The end result was an HD theater in which he helped me get discounted components through his connections, the best sound I have ever heard in a home, all expertly calibrated and tuned by Cham. I recommend him in the strongest possible terms.....!!
You can never go wrong with Cham. He's extremely knowledgeable at what he does. Once he walks into your house, he knows exactly what is best for you. We totally underpaid him for what he has done for installing our home entertainment system. He walked in our house at 3 pm and didn't leave until 4 in the morning for two straight days to finish the work!. He makes sure everything is perfect before he leaves. We bought a $3000 bose system hoping he can install it for us. He thinks it's a piece of crap and suggested us to sell it asap. He recommended other brand names which are cheaper and give us higher quality sound. We ended up spending less money for the entertainment systems and got ourself a Wii, blue ray disc dvd player, and better sound quality system. Woohoo! As good as he gets. We are extremely happy at his finish work. LOVED the Logitech Harmony remote he told us to get. He programmed all our favorite channels and we can turn on everything with a press of a button. Everything is better than expected. Our project was extremely complicated. Everything needs to be rewired in between the walls. He helped us rewire new speaker wires, running new HDMI cables to the bedroom, installing higer gauge speaker wire and programming our logitech remote and setting up our receiver.
