I am as honest and fair as I can be. I can do anything related to plumbing in a house. I will give you the best quote for your home. I do it all, including water, waste, and gas . I can do main line waste repipes from the curb to your house, main water lines from the water meter to your house, snake drains, install/service shower valves, and install/service faucets, toilets, and tubs. I have a camera with a locator. I do It all!

Established in 2015.
As a third-generation plumber, I have been plumbing for 13 years. I want to show you, the customer, that I am the most professional, reliable, honest, and knowledgeable plumber that you can hire. I want to build a positive reputation for my business, and can only, do that by having happy customers that will call me back the next time they have a plumbing issue.

ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER

I was born and raised in Huntington Beach, CA. I grew up in my father's plumbing business, Manny's Plumbing, where I worked very hard to learn everything I could possibly learn about being a good plumber. Over the years, I went from solely digging trenches to being able to run the plumbing for an entire house, including water, waste, and gas. The customer is my top priority; no matter the size of the job, I will not leave until I know that all of my work has been done perfectly.

Yelpers, if looking for an HONEST plumber then please call no other than Jacob for your plumbing needs. Had no hot water coming into the shower and I needed a plumber fast. Found Jacob on Yelp and gave him a call and was at my home within 40 minutes, finishing a previous job. After assessing that the culprit is a bad mixing valve and the shower needed a cartridge replacement, he gave me a quote for the job. His price was very competitive so I had said yes. Upon opening the face plate and exposing the cartridge, he said that since there was no soldering and pipe work it involved it is something I myself can do. He told me that it just did not feel right to charge someone for something that a person can do themselves with proper instructions. Jacob gave me clear instructions to do and follow, and assuring me if I had trouble to call him and he would walk me through it and which he did. The actions of this HONEST man helped me and I saved over $300. An unscrupulous plumber would have taken me hook, bait and sinker easily, but not Jacob. I totally recommend yelpers to give Jacob a call for your plumbing needs and rest assured your dealing with an HONEST man.

Jacob came to my house to snake a clogged pipe. He was extremely fast and professional. His prices are reasonable and he honored the price quote he gave me on the phone. I will definitely call him with any plumbing issues in the future. Highly recommended!

My idiot roommate had flushed a hard piece of cleaning material down the toilet and completely clogged it. We had lots of company visiting that same night too so it needed to be fixed ASAP!!!
Called around to multiple plumbing companies and nobody could get in to see me until a couple days out. Called Jacob and he was there within 30minutes, and solved the problem within 5minutes.
Jacob is friendly, funny, and knows what he's doing. As well as his team that accompanies him.

Jacob repiped the house we just purchased and replaced the sewer line. He was always on time, friendly and did great work. We've had a few other minor plumbing issues since and he has taken the time to explain to us how to fix them ourselves to save money. Jacob is a hard worker, he's honest and knows what he's doing.

I called Jacob last week because a knocking noise in a water pipe.  Jacob respond quickly and even showed up early!!  He gave me a free estimate which was resonable than other company that I spoke with.  He was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Had a sewer smell coming from one of the side vents near my kitchen.. House is on a raised foundation and noticed a water noise when the kitchen sink turned on. Now I knew I had a water leak behind the wall.. Came to Yelp and saw Jacobs good reviews and gave him a call. He showed up the next day on time and quickly found the issue. The leak wasn't behind the wall but under the floor. He explained to me what needed to be done and I thought to myself.. Here we go... Money for this money for that... And the bill quickly getting expensive.. To my surprise it was lower than other plumbers had quoted.. He was honest and got the job done on time. Totally wound recommend him for any plumbing needs. Definitely calling him back when I need a plumber

Our upstairs master bathroom developed a leak that wasn't evident except for a pool of water coming out of the wall of our downstairs living room. I tried finding it myself but couldn't do I put out requests on Yelp. 3 of the 4 requests replied and Jacob was one of two that replied within an hour. I cold tell from talking to him and the questions he asked about the age of my house and the location of the leak that he knew his stuff. He offered to do a free inspection the very next morning and showed up on time. When looking at it we determined the wall needed to be opened up and that it may need to be opened to the ceiling. BUT, because my house was built in 1966, he could not do it until it was tested for asbestos and led paint. What? Really? I was skeptical but went with it as he said if it tests positive and abatement was needed, homeowners insurance would cover that part, as well as restoration. The results came back positive for asbestos as well as a some led in the old, original paint even though it had been painted over. And the drywall was very moist, along with the framing. Turns out I had a pinhole leak that had been going on for a while but had gotten worse. He recommended replacing the old copper cold and hot line that had deteriorated (not just patch it) and might as well do the rusty, led drain pipe while exposed. I looked at their condition and agreed, as I don't want to go through this again. Jacob did a great job, and recommended a great restoration company (Restoration Pros), that he has worked with. I highly recommend Jacob and will use him again.

The good:

The not-so-good:
Not ethical nor truthful.
- I specifically told him we had a tree root problem which would require a rooter long enough to go out to the street. He assured me he could handle it.
- He brought a MINI rooter and stated - falslely - 'they only make them to go up to 50 feet'
- He said a guy 'built his own that can go much further' and called him to come over. Claimed the other guy 'was not licensed.'
- That, too, was false. The 'other guy' was not only licensed and bonded - I checked - but his large rooter was not home made but had a commercial steel plate identifying the manufacturer - and said it could go up to 90 (or 100?) feet. It cleared our line far short of that.
- I paid $150 to the 'other plumber' - who I will use again in the future - and Jacob charged me $230, which I thought was unwarranted and exhorbitant under the circumstances.
- So I paid $380 for a job that should have cost only $150.
- Jacob made at least four misstatements: (1) Represented that he could do the job but brought only a MINI rooter; (2) Misstated the length of rooters commercially made; (3) Falsely claimed the other guy had built the large rooter himself; and (4) Falsely stated the other plumber was unlicensed. Which I attribute simply to greed: He didn't want to lose business to another plumber, even though he called him to our job, so just made up a story about him being unlicensed.

Maybe not a unique experience for Jacob's customers, but certainly unique for me. I called Jacob to get an estimate on removing the gas line nipple and valve assembly behind my dryer. I'm switching to an electric dryer, and to save space with the install, this hardware needed to go. I called a few places all wanting to give me quotes or charge a fee to do an estimate of what I thought should be a straightforward project. Ultimately, Jacob confirmed my suspicions, and actually recommended that I do the work myself to save money. In total with his guidance on the proper tools and hardware, I spent 20$ at a trip to Home Depot, and less than 10 minutes to do the work. Jacob gave me the confidence to do the work myself, told me what to be mindful of while working with natural gas. I have his number saved in my phone and he'll be my first call whenever we need any work done.

Yet another update for Plumbing By Jacob. There's nobody else I trust w/ our 1960s plumbing. Pipes are too old to trust w/ a random plumbing company who hires inexperienced workers. I tend to only write a yelp review if someone leaves an impression on me. Jacob is very professional and you can tell that he is a down to earth guy. It is refreshing when you run into someone like that.
He has obviously been in the business a long time, and that he actually cares about the work he does. It's just a bonus that he shows up on time and happens to be easy on the eyes...

Called up Jake because I needed a new water line going to my front yard. He came by Saturday at noon and a couple hours later, I had a spigot at the front of my garage, have wanted one there since we bought the house a couple years ago.
We got a call while Jake was working, a family member had a shower that was not draining, asked Jake and he said sure. We went there with him, (the lady was working) Jake got out his drain snake and within a half hour, the shower was draining as it should.
So, two households were happy customers. Plumbing by Jacob, it's who you call when you need a plumber!

Jacob showed up on time, did a good job for a good price, and was very professional. I especially appreciate the care he took explaining everything to making sure I understand our plumbing situation. He is a top-quality small business owner, and I am pleased to support his business and recommend him to you.

I called yesterday about an issue with the sewer line under the main bathroom, and he immediately stood out from others just over the phone: he took the care and time to ask questions over the phone to make sure he had a good idea of the source of the problem, which he identified as more than a simple clog.

We scheduled an estimate for this morning, and he was able to stay to snake the main line and run a camera down to identify the root cause: the main line was installed at a bad grade/angle and has a weird lip in one section that is causing standing water in the line and is the trouble spot where the snake was needed. Our clog is gone and now we have valuable information and to help us move forward with what is needed. I really appreciate Jacob's service and the information he shared!

1.  Contacted the company via Yelp and Jacob called me and we went over the issues, and I got a rough price estimate.

2.  He stopped by the house, scoped out the issue, and provided me a precise estimate and scheduled a date to get the job done.

3.  Came back another day, worked his magic, and all is good now.

Very Profesional! Jacob came by twice for me.. I even interrupted him late in the evening came by quickly. If you want something done right call Jacob I guarantee you will not be disappointed . Especially when leaks happen you're distraught but he talks you through the steps how he will be fixing the plumbing correctly he eases your mind so you can feel confident. Highly recommend him!!

Jacob is awesome. He came on really short notice when we had an emergency. He diagnosed the problem (it was our neighbor's plumbing) and didn't charge us a dime! True to his word, a free estimate. He spent about 45 minutes here figuring out what was wrong and was courteous and helpful the entire time. I know who I'm calling if I ever have an issue again.

We had a clogged drain under the kitchen sink. Jacob was able to squeeze me in on the same day. He was on time and courteous. He snaked the clog in the kitchen and snaked the main drain. Jacob explained everything and worked very clean. I would recommend Jacob for all of your plumbing needs.

The character and ability of a service provider is surely demonstrated by his work. But it is also demonstrated by honesty and today Jacob showed how great a businessman he is. Jacob had helped me about two years ago in fixing the connection to a refrigerator and also moving a gas line that would work with my new dryer. The work was fantastic!  Today I needed to fix the equipment in a toilet tank. He looked at it and instead of installing some equipment that was obviously broken, he explained that the problems were much deeper and that I needed to call my landlord.  That's integrity and that's maybe more important than just his skills--although those are top notch. This is the plumber you need to hire.

Jacob was very prompt and it seems he did excellent work as far as we can tell at this point. However, we had been quoted $150 + $20 for materials and after 1 hour and 10 minutes, the bill came to $380. This is more than double the orignial quote for fixing a leaking toilet base! Due to lack of transparency of charges, we will not use his services again.

This is my 2nd review of Jacob.  We noticed a pretty strong smell of gas coming from the fire pit and called Jacob to check it out.  Turns out that the landscape installer put in an older, non-standard fitting of 3/8 rather than the standard 1/2.  Jacob was able to find the part to fit the fitting and he fixed it easily and very efficiently.  He is a very nice guy and does not rip you off with unnecessary fees like others do.  If you need any plumbing work done whatsoever, I highly suggest you give Jacob a call.  You will not be disappointed.

I contacted Jacob because I had a busted pipe that was shooting water a couple feet in the air. He came over within an hour. He looked at it and said it was part of the sprinkler system and pipes needed to be replaced. He said a sprinkler guy would be much cheaper then him as plumbers are much more then irrigation guys, He was honest and told me to call a sprinkler guy who would save me a ton of money.

He could have easily said anything and I would have paid to have it fixed. I loved his honesty and the fact he basically showed up for a free estimate and left with nothing.

Although I obviously didn't use him this time, he is saved in my book should I need a future plumber. After all, honesty and trustworthiness is worth its weight in gold

It's always a stressful time when you have call a plumber, but let me tell you about our excellent experience with Plumbing by Jacob. My mother was having trouble with a relentlessly leaky sink drain pipes and garbage disposal. Another company had installed the pipes incorrectIy and after several attempts to fix it(over several months) we were left looking for answers. I then referred her to Jacob after seeing other positive reviews(I live out of state). He responded immediately came out and replaced the faulty pipes and explained the problem in detail. He even called me afterwords to assure me everything went well and that my mom was being taken care of. A week later, the sink, faucet, and disposal are finally working. I would refer someone in a heartbeat and he took great care of my mom. I rarely take the time to write a review for this sort of thing, but he really came through on this one.

Contacted him early one morning via Yelp due to a leak in my yard that was seeping into the house. Replied right away. Talked with him on the phone about the problem and how I needed to get the leak shut off or fixed as soon as possible. He was here shortly after our phone call. Checked for other issues and solved the problem. I'll have to have him come out to finish some of the exterior plumbing, but the leak it stopped for now.

From yelp contact to completion, about 3 hours. Probably not the standard turn around time, but much better than the other responses I was receiving, which was anywhere from a couple days to a couple weeks.

Jacob is a very personable and nice guy! He came in to replace a kitchen faucet and create a water line to my fridge. I thought it was just a simple in and out and maybe I could do it myself... SO GLAD I CALLED HIM!!!

It was simple for HIM! Yet there were valve replacement and old rusted welded faucet... he was very clear and upfront with what needed to be done. Gave me options for pricing (plastic or brass) so I was able to choose. He had it done in no time at all! Works excellent and his pricing is very fair!

Working with Jacob was great! He was very quick to respond after I contacted him via Yelp and set up a meeting at my condo right away. He was very knowledgeable and was able to diagnose my plumbing problem right away. After he gave me a quote, I did some research with other plumbers and online and found that his quote was appropriate for my area.  Although I had to pay quite a bit of money to replace my water heater, Jacob made the experience bearable because I knew he was being thorough and truthful. Overall, working with Jacob was a great experience and my major plumbing problem was fixed the day after he came out!

Called in panic no one could help us with a leak in the backyard.  He came over within 20 minutes.  And went around our whole property to figure out where the main water was coming from.  Mind you we just got our home and the yard has been sitting for over a year and he just went through everything and was so nice.  Top it all off he showed us how to fix it and it didn't cost us a thing!!  If you need a good honest plumber  Call Jacob!

He really is honest plumber. I called him with some help regarding my leaky bathroom faucet. I sent him some pictures regarding my faucet and gave me some tips on fixing it. He basically saved me money by being honest and telling me what he would of done. It's rare to find an honest plumber, I'm glad that I was able to find Jacob!

I called Jacob to see if he could hook up a built in BBQ and fire pit for me and he said he could, but that it's easy to do and he would be happy to walk me through it over the phone. He did, and didn't charge me a dime. Jacob will definitely be my go to plumber from here on!

I can't really add anything more than has already been said about Jacob.  He is honest, does a great job and takes pride in his work.  He completed a shower valve replacement job in under two hours that the sorry plumber my home warranty company sent me couldn't accomplish in three DAYS.  Not only did Jacob do the job quickly, but he didn't leave me a 12x12 inch hole in the shower wall to deal with like the other plumber told me was unavoidable.  Thankfully, I found Plumbing by Jacob before the other clown started cutting away.  Thank you, Jacob!

Thank you So much Jacob and Tyler in doing a good job fixing our kitchen plumbing issue.

This was my first time having to deal with pluming issue. I must have called over 10 plumbing companies and which 3 plumbers come before Jacob to try and fix my issue. The third plumbing company even brought a hydro jet, camera and 2 guys, but was not able to fix the issue.

Then come super Jacob and his trusty co-pilot Tyler.

They come on time as agreed... went straight to work... then Magic! My kitchen sink can be use again.... with that beautiful whizzing sound of water draining down the pipes was music to my ears...

Now, experiencing not able to use my kitchen sink, made me realize how I take simple thing for granted. Like opening the faucet and water draining down the sink...

The positive: I have Jacob and Tyler saved in my contacts. When you need a plumber --- who do you call??? You know who to call!!!!

I called Jacob mid afternoon on a Monday about a leak that I could not  find. He showed up that same afternoon after finishing up another job to help find the leak. Once we found it, he determined that it would be something I could fix easily. He gave me a quick tutorial on how to replace an overflow gasket (it was easy), and then went on his way without charging me a dime. Jacob's honesty and professionalism were refreshing especially when I thought I was going to have to spend an arm and a leg to get a pipe fixed. I can't recommend him highly enough.

Hard to find a honest Plumber.. Lucky for you Jacob is one of them.  I had some shotty work done on a water heater which i wanted to be reviewed.  Jacob was the only one to offer to check it out for free.  He was able to point out some key problems for free and even offered to fix those problems at a very reasonable rate.  I highly recommend him.

First time I called Jacob was August 2019.  My kitchen sink was clogged, and a simple Drano treatment wasn't cutting it.  Jacob was available to come out the next day, opened up the pipes and showed me the problem. My 60 year old cast iron pipes had rust and corrosion build up, making the pipe opening 1/3 the size it should be.  Most plumbers would say it's time to re-pipe it all.  Not Jacob.  He cut the corrosion out, increasing the water flow and then showed me how to maintain it myself.  I've been able to do this simple maintenance myself, rather than call someone out.

Yesterday, I had to call Jacob again.  The clog was beyond my reach, and I was afraid this time I was going to be told it's time to re-pipe.  Nope.  He came out today, snaked the pipe, and told me it's not worth re-piping yet.  There's still life in the pipes, why waste the money?  He was in & out in less than 30 minutes...drain is clear, no mess left behind.
 
Jacob is more concerned with building a relationship with his customers and making sure they're happy, than he is with making money off them.  He is the most honest, and helpful repairman I've used, and yes, he will always be my go-to for all my plumbing, water, gas needs.

I'm working on a job in Huntington Beach and one of my subcontractors pulled a hose and broke off a rusty spigot. These guys were here within the hour of getting the call. Jake came to my house and within a hour he was able to fix the bathroom sink that was leaking, replace and install a brand new kitchen faucet with a tight fit underneath, and was able to get my garbage disposal working again. He needed a few parts to finish the job  and never had to leave. He had everything in the truck. He was definitely prepared. Called Jacob due to a stagnant bathtub.  Tried to snake out the tub and even climbed on the roof to access the vent.  Problem not solved.  Looks like I have bigger problems than I thought.  Need more money to fix my issue that I cannot afford to address until next year.  Handed over Jacob my debit card and he handed it right back to me.  All he asked was that I call hime back when I was ready to address the issue, and that I give him the first opportunity to work on it.  Honesty and professionalism go a long way with me and as soon as I have the money ready, I'll be calling Jacob Plumbing.  He came to do a job on a hot day, climbed on the roof with a snake machine on his shoulder and left with nothing but a promise that I'd call him back.  Respectful, honest, punctual and professional.  Thanks Jacob.

Jacob is amazing. You can't go wrong hiring him to handle any plumbing issues. He came over, gave me a free quote to replace 3 old toilets and to fix a misc. plumbing issue. He is knowledge, friendly and professional. He ordered my new toilets, cheaper than I could have gotten them, and installed them in a more than reasonable amount of time. His pricing is also more than reasonable - you won't believe what a great deal you get compared to hiring a larger plumbing company. And with Jacob you will get exceptional services. My dad told me a plumber was coming by while I was home alone (not the most fun thing to hear as a young woman because people can be weird) and I'm glad that it was Jacob (and his apprentice) that my dad hired! Jacob was super friendly and had great manners, he made a point to ask my name and wipe his shoes thoroughly before entering the house. My dad had quite a bit of tasks for Jacob to take care of and he got through them all in good time with a great attitude. He even checked out an extra issue in our upstairs bathroom that was not part of what he came over to do. My dad told me an estimate of how much it should cost since I was going to have to deal with the payment and the amount Jacob's total came out to matched it so he was honest with me about the price even though it was clear I don't know anything about what he was doing or the pricing. We will definitely be going to Jacob again for any other plumbing needs we have and are excited to try his homemade Thai chili beef jerky that he gave us a massive piece of. Found Plumbing by Jacob here on yelp.  I had to replace my water heater, and wanted to use a local plumber.  I looked around and had a couple other estimates with everyone about the same price give or take.  I did my due diligence and checked for feedback for each business I looked at.  In reading the other guys reviews they were mixed.  Jacobs reviews were spot on.  No one had anything bad to say which is very rare these days I liked what I had seen and set up a time to start the work.  My job was scheduled for 0800, Jacob showed up 20min early...even better.  His costumer service was great with no BS, told me what I needed and didn't try to sell me on any extra work. The job took 3hrs and he cleaned up and fixed everything that was wrong or broken replaced my old unit with a Bradford White unit.  This is a good young hard working local guy making a living.  I would definitely recommend him and will be calling on him again in the future.

The gas company found a leak by my meter during a routine check of the neighborhood. As a result, they disconnected my service until the leak was fixed.  I needed someone reliable and available relatively quickly. I found Jacob on Yelp and I'm glad I did. He was here in a couple of hours and my problem was fixed in less than a hour. As a bonus, his pricing was very reasonable. I had a home inspector point out that there was a possible water leak at the sprinkler lateral and I needed a plumber to take a look.  I found Jacob and sent the photo to him to see if this is something I needed to address right away and for an estimate.  He was able to look that the photo and responded back right away and told me this doesn't need to be fixed.  It all looks good.  He said, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.  Because of his honesty and quick response, I wanted to write a review.  Thank you Jacob!

We used Jacob's rooter service a few months ago, and he pulled some tree roots.   Another clog happened a couple of days ago and this time he snaked from the roof vent and then a sink drain but was hitting something hard.  Uh oh.  He suspected a broken cast iron drain and recommended a two-way drain to make any future snaking much easier, won't have to go into the house or up on the roof.  After working several hours in a BLISTERING heat wave, he and his buddy Joe had things flowing again!  We lost a bit of concrete in the process but peace of mind knowing the real problem was fixed!  Both guys were nice, worked quickly and explained everything as they went along, and cleaned up afterwards.  Highly recommend Plumbing by Jacob!

Don't waste your time calling other plumbers. Plumbing by Jacob is the only plumber I will be calling from now on. I have had multiple plumbers come out in the last year and they seem to wanna charge the plumber money but don't really wanna do the plumber work. Jacob is excellent!! It started out with clogged kitchen sink. 2 guys from Cole Heating and Plumping came for 2 days in the row. They used the snake and said the snake got stuck and claimed that my pipe was corroded and needed immediate repair which might cost up to $11250 to re-route the pipes to prevent future issues. Jacob came later to give second opinion. He was very up front and honest. It took him 5 minutes to snake my kitchen pipe and got everything worked again then charge a very reasonable price for the job. He saved us from being rip off by another company. It's so hard to find honest professionals these days, so I'm glad I found him! Jacob was introduced to my 1942 plumbing in the house and the work of people who did not know what they were doing prior to him.   He installed a new toilet and fixed the leaking around it.   Then he looked under the kitchen sink to see a pipe with a hose going into it.   That led to the sewer.   My hair stood on end when I saw that.   Then Jacob took the the pipes out from under the sink.  None of them were glued together or screwed together!!!   He fixed that totally!  He even made sure the pipes for the dishwasher were up to standard.   Then he had to cut holes in a few places in the wall to bring the pipes up to code.   Then he went into the crawl space and found where there was no pipe in a place....   but just some rubber.   He fixed that, also.  Outside, he got rid of my galvanized piping and changed it to copper!   Wow!!!   Everything is working wonderfully!!!   I was very happy with how prompt he was, how clean, and how he explained things and gave me the price of each job.   I couldn't be happier with the job Jacob did!!!!

Had a downstairs ceiling leak due to a broken shower drain.  Jacob was recommended by a friend with a good recommendation.  He was at my house in 15 minutes and diagnosed the leak in 10 minutes.  I had been struggling with the leak for a month.  
Jacob was efficient, honest, and very knowledgeable.  He returned that next Monday, and replaced the cracked PBC for a fair price.  He helped me understand the potential plumbing issues with my 40 year old home.

He came to my house in under 30 minutes of me calling him, man handled my toilet that wouldn't flush and after a lot of snaking the toilet he fished out a pair of cotton boxer briefs complete with buttons still attached. Jacob came out pretty quickly after I contacted him. He had clear communication. Him and Sean were very friendly upon arrival. Very sweet people. I had an old gas line for my pool heater that failed. It was located along a narrow strip of dirt along my property line, where thick roots made digging challenging. Jacob trenched through the entire 65 feet of this nasty trench in two hours. He's a machine! After the dirty work, he installed a replacement gas line quickly and professionally. Loved that they played reggae music the entire time! It shows that they are true to their marketing and what they offer! Jacob was very educational and made sure that we knew what was going on. We called Jacob in to fix/replace our broken water main shutoff valve. While others quoted us hundreds more, Jacob came in at the best price. When he got here, he took a look and assessed the condition of our plumbing and gave us several options that we might want to go with. Ultimately he suggested a cheap DIY approach to the situation and to just get this fixed at a later time so as to not risk a larger problem. I was looking for a plumber to service a house we just moved in to in the city of HB. Went on a FB group local to HB, and I saw Jacob's services recommended over and over. I gave him a shot to fix my kitchen sink drain. He communicated on the phone and text of all updates, easy to speak to and explains the situation. Just found my new go to plumber. Jacob is awesome! Very honest guy. You don't find many contractors willing to save you money, usually they try and hit you for every little thing. Instead of charging me for the labor of exposing my leaking pipe, he showed me exactly what I needed to do for him to just come in and replace the pipe in half the time which meant half the cost. Plus, he's just an all around cool guy to talk to.

So we had a water heater leak like in the floor area and so I called jacob and he came looked and like literally he was the master he just pointed out all the places where it would need to get fixed quickly and also thought of the future of the plumbing so no future problems will happen so he mostly put in new pipes cause the ones we had in our place was alll old so im glad he was lookin out for us and he gave a good deal with my grandpa and just did everything perfect! One of my restroom was giving off a sewage smell so I found Jacob and sent him a message and received a response almost immediately. We scheduled an appointment for the following morning and he showed up with one of his employee as promised. He told us what needed to be fixed and quoted us a price before starting the job. Once the toilet was pulled off he showed us why my toilet was rocking back and forth and the loose bolts which caused some leakage. Before putting the toilet back on, he made sure the area was sanitized and clean. Super cool guy and definitely works fast.

If you're looking for a reliable and honest plumber this is your man. Called Jacob and he answered first call. We spoke briefly about the issue and he was able to get me in next day as I called late in the day. He showed up when he said he would and got to work. Jacob is very personable and tells you up front what to expect. He got to work and was able to fix the problem. He checked a few other things at no cost to make sure everything was right. He noticed a few other issues that may present a problem in the future but did not pressure me at all to do those things now. He told me what to look out for so that if I see a problem it can be addressed early on. He also gave me some ideas to make things more accessible for easier cleaning (since whoever did it before I moved in did it half @ss) I highly recommend Jacob! Had him come by to snake a few drains at my house in Long Beach. Roto Rooter quoted me more than 3x what Jacob ended up charging. Jacob is awesome! He helped us fix a leak that we had in the garage and he traced the leak back to the master bedroom... We thought it was going to cost us over $500 to get it fixed but he charged us a very reasonable price. He even went out of his way to help us setup an appointment to get our drywall fixed that was damaged from the water leak and we also had to get the vanity pulled out and put back in for the pipe fix, how great is that? That being said, he is a hard worker, on time, and we would definitely recommend him to our friends and family for repairs. He's the best at what he does, thanks again Jacob!

Jacob answered my initial call and booked me right away. He arrived on-time and got right to work checking my hot water heater.

Unbeknownst to me, my HWH is somewhat different than other residential units and Jacob was not able to service it. However, he was willing to call the manufacturer and get valuable information for me by asking the right questions.

What an awesome couple of guys they are! Jacob was so quick to respond to my message at 0630 in the morning! He gave us a quote right away and a time frame we were able to work with. Even better was he was able to stop by 1 hour earlier! He was able to fix our kitchen sink and his cleanliness was great! I saw Jacob twice in one week.  He reseated a leaky toilet for me.  He came the same day I called and worked quickly and efficiently.  Six days later I stopped up my kitchen sink, big time.  I tried Home Depots drain cleaner two times the same night and the clog didn't budge.  So, I called Jacob again.  He came out the next morning and cleaned it out from under the sink so he could use a larger diameter snake.  He was able to go 75 feet and thoroughly clear the line.  My house is 60 years old so he suggested installing a kitchen clean out valve behind my sink which could be accessed from outside so future problems would be easily taken care of.  I will be doing that in a few weeks.  No one else ever made that suggestion.  He really knows what he is doing and his prices are honest and fair.  I would recommend Jacob for anyone that needs a great plumber.

Long story short: Jacob was quick to respond, polite, reasonably priced, thorough and very knowledgeable.
I would highly recommend him. He was patient with my landlord. He did a clean job. Awesome communication as well. We'll definitely be hiring him in the future. 

Long story: We moved into a rental and when the gas was finally turned on we smelled gas for a while. The gas co. came back out to check and they had to shut us off.  Turns out we had a gas leak and would need to call a plumber. I called Jacob via Yelp on 12/26 at 9am and he said he could be over within 2 hours. He then text me at 9:30 to say he'd be over in 30 minutes, he got there in 20 =). He explained what was wrong and what needed to be done. We then called the landlord and he explained to her and gave her options. One was inexpensive and quick, yet permanent fix. The other was slightly more expensive and could take up to 2 days. Gave Jacob my garage opener and he arrived the next day early morning and was  done by lunch time. He also fixed my dryer b/c the handy man we had install it did it wrong.

Late review, but much deserved. Jacob was very knowledge and chill dude who is all about no nonsense and gets the job done. He provides good insights and recommends things that are only needed. I had asked him how much it would cost to replace a toilet fill valve since I got that done a month ago. Another company would have charged me $400 to replace a fill valve. That's a $10 part and a 15 minute fix. Jacob told me that it's something that I could easily do myself and he wouldn't want to take it as a job, which is what I had done. Jacob's an honest guy and does his job well. I highly recommend him.

Unfortunately, I would not recommend this gentleman's services.  I own a few rental houses in HB and was looking for another plumber who I could have on my rolodex.  He was very prompt in returning my call and also went out the very next day early to diagnose the problem.  However, when he called me to discuss the probable issue, to say he was condescending and rude would be a HUGE understatement. From the beginning of the call, each question I asked was answered with a very snotty short answer- to the point that after a minute speaking with him I felt very uncomfortable with this person.  After telling me the pee trap by the bathtub was probably causing the issue, he stated he'd need to cut into the house's outside stucco to see for sure.  When I asked if he is the one to repair the stucco when he is done, he stated, I'm not a general contractor.  Regardless, he said he would not be able to fix whatever issue it may be until the next day (which I had no problem with).  When I stated that I needed a few minutes to think about this before giving him the go ahead, he hung up on me.  Now I understand time is money but if you are going to be a Plumber and want people to literally make major decisions like cutting into the stucco on your house, on the fly, you are unreasonable.  I was not saying I'd call back in an hour or two, I was saying I needed 5 to 10 minutes to try and process what I should do.  Unfortunately, this gentleman did not even hear that as he had already hung up on me.  I have no idea if his plumbing skills are good or bad, but I do know his bed side manner and client interaction is absolutely horrible and to me that is as important as the actual work.

Jacob is a LIFE SAVER! My wife and I were just 2 days away from closing on a new house in Garden Grove. Being a diligent person I didn't settle for just the general inspector's report but decided to get a full plumbing inspection done. Jacob didn't just snake a drain and give a simple thumbs up or down he checked the house from top to bottom. He found a TON of issues, over 20k in necessary repairs for the plumbing alone! Today, Jacob came charging like he was from the 1st Cavalry.  Not that he is ex-Cavalry, I didn't ask him.  Nevertheless, he came in, over 24 hours sooner than expected, immediately assessed the problem, which was tricky and complicated, and fixed it post haste in less than an hour.  A job I was worried would take days and days and days.  I was mentally preparing to go move into a motel if need be.  But it wasn't.  Jacob saved the day.  He is amazing, intelligent, honest, kind and fair; generous in fact.  I can not recommend him highly enough.  He deserves a 1000 stars in my book.

Based on all the past positive reviews, I was hoping Jacob was the plumber for me.  Unfortunately, mine was a negative experience.  I left voicemail and text on 2/13, but did not hear back from him.  Again, based on great reviews I decided to give him a second chance.  2 days later on 2/15 I reached out to him again and finally spoke on the phone, he apologized, he was very busy, he was grateful for another chance.  On 2/15 we booked an appointment, he sent text confirmation for 2/21 at 3:30.  2/21 came and went.  He was a NO SHOW!  Never called!  I would have preferred he responded unable to service, I'm booked at this time.  That would have been an honest response.  Sorry but can't recommend him at this time!

Wow! So impressed! I called Plumbing By Jacob to help fix and repair a tub/shower remodel today. Both my consultation and work appointments with him were prompt showing up exactly on time. Our old plumbing was a mess behind the old shower wall. Jacob knew exactly how to repair as well as set us up with our new faucet set. Such a relief to know that the work it done correctly. Pipes are all set and secure, and now I can continue our tile work without any fear of future leaks. Whew! And his price? Let's just say Jacob was more than reasonable, hundreds less than two other price quotes we received for the same job. Thank you, Jacob. We WILL be calling you again for our home and apartment repairs!

We had bad odor in the bathroom. We called Jacob. He showed up right on time. He found the cause of our problem and he fixed it.
Jacob was professional, knowledgeable and friendly.

I have a leak around my water meter that the water company said I have to fix.  They said it was  the main line connecting to the water meter.  Jacob came out , saw that the meter wasn't moving for at least 10 minutes, which points to the leak not coming from the main line.  To save me money, he gave me some tips on how to troubleshoot this leak.  Jacob was very knowledgeable, and very professional.  I highly recommend him.

My experience with Plumbing by Jacob was above and beyond any of my expectations. He was able to be onsite immediately to respond to our emergency and provided care and concern, along with his unparalleled expertise and knowledge, throughout the whole process. He was always available when we needed and was very flexible, working with our schedules to coordinate appointments. Our needs were always given the highest priority, and he always gave us his undivided attention. When going through difficult plumbing emergencies, being able to have someone you can trust is so important, and Jacob always valued our trust and worked to develop and maintain it. From the beginning, he maintained excellent communication, always returning our calls and messages. His explanations were clear and presented to me in a way we could understand, and he always took the time to listen to and answer all of our questions, even referring us to other services and contacts he believed were helpful given our situation. We always felt supported and knew Jacob would be there if we needed. It was like having an expert teammate in your corner!
When going through plumbing situations, cost is always a worry. But, Jacob provided so much support and service at wonderfully low costs. Came by right away to fix a leak we had in the front yard. Gave us a quote and when we got the money he came by to fix it and honored his quote. At the same time we had a toilet with the water running constantly, he gave us a quote for that but said I can fix myself and save some money. Gave me some instructions and saved $130. This man has a lot of integrity and his work is top notch. Every repair he has done for us has lasted and he will always find a way to save us money. This is the only plumber I trust.

-Professionalism: Stellar! Jacob was punctual, in fact he arrived 5 minutes early. He was friendly, kind, and approachable. When you invite people to work in your home you just hope that they are professional, clean, and not creepy. Jacob seems to really take pride in his work and to maintain a strong business reputation. I was quite impressed.
-Honesty: Really honest, which is rare in today's world, and so appreciated.
-Price Quote: Extremely fair and once again, honest. He does not try to upsell a subscription based service. Will be straightforward about what is a simple fix you can just do yourself, suggest how to fix something in the most cost-effective way, or if something does not need to be fixed at all.
-Informative: Not only can he fix your plumbing issue but Jacob took his time (no extra charge) to teach my husband and I on how to maintain our plumbing on our own in the long run to avoid any big costly issues in the future. He made reliable brand recommendations, tools, and products that are inexpensive and realistic to use.

Overall, I am very happy with this business can't recommend Plumbing By Jacob enough! I already texted my close homeowner friends to tell them about Jacob. I am very grateful to find a local & honest plumber.

Jacob was the third call on a Saturday afternoon, after first calling two other (highly rated) Yelp-listed plumbers who did not answer.  Jacob answered, and was nice enough to come out to my home on Monday as I requested.  He took a look at my shower leak, and instead of just trying to sell me on the parts he had brought with him, he took the time to try to get me the replacement parts that I wanted.  He genuinely seemed like he really wanted whatever I wanted.  Putting my interests first, rather than just what was easier for him.  He got on the phone and after holding for a very long time, he was able to talk with the plumbing supply store about the item that I was looking for.  They didn't have what I wanted, but he said he'd follow back with them on whether they could get it, and would let me know.  He left without even wanting a payment from me for his services - and he was probably at my house close to an hour diagnosing the problem - and on the phone trying to hunt down the specific part that I wanted.  He contacted me first thing Monday morning with a response back, and we talked about my options.  I offered to pay him something for his time on Saturday, but he didn't want anything from me.  I tell you this, Jacob is one of the nicest, and friendliest person I've ever dealt with.  Very honest, and reliable.  Does what he says he'll do.  Follows up.  Puts the customer's best interest above his own (how often does that happen?!!).  Going forward, I will not call any other plumber than Jacob.  I've used other plumbers on Yelp before (some with over 300 reviews), but I tell you, this guy is better.  He's more honest.  And you can trust that he's going to put your best interest ahead of his own.

Jacob is now my new plumber. He came by and replaced an old, beat up 40gal water heater for a tankless one- and I am SO glad he came to do the job.
Jacob was on time, worked really hard, did a great job and was really a pleasure to be around. He also treated my grandpa as if he was his own which put a smile on my grandpa's face.

UPDATE: Not taking away from anything I originally wrote (except that I won't be calling him back), I dropped two stars because of a dangerous gas pipe that was not permanently capped off. I called him and let him know that the gas line is dangerous because it's not connected to anything and the only thing keeping gas from coming out into the house is a valve. If the valve is accidentally turned, gas would pour out into the air of my house. Jacob wouldn't fix it because it wasn't part of the original bid .....safety precautions and any work that ensures the work is not a dangerous setup does not need to be specified in the bid... that should be assumed.

Very disappointed that he wouldn't stop by and cap off this gas pipe that's in our pantry. I don't think it was unreasonable to do so.

Kitchen sink piping cracked. Gave Jake a call he called me back right away. Gave me the option of doing it myself and he'll provide the knowledge. Went to homedepot myself got the parts he said I needed after sending him pics of the damage. He even offered to facetime him if I get in a jam and he'll walk me through it. O ya NO CHARGE!!!

Prior to finding Jacob I received two quotes from other plumbers, one of which is constantly seen on TV during the Price is Right.  In anycase, Jacob gave me a quote that was HALF of what both other competitors offered.

Jacob arrived on time and was very pleasant!  He finished the job in the quoted amount of time and that was with some minor adjustments he had not planned for.  Even with those minor adjustments to the job he did not charge me extra and stayed within our agreed upon price.

I have to say, to find an honest plumber these days is hard.  Jacob is honest and his prices are more than fair.  His work and craftsmanship are second to none!  I highly recommend Jacob to anyone with their plumbing needs and will be giving his card to some of my friends who are contractors.  Great Job Jacob!  Your work was greatly appreciated!

Very nice guy that showed up on time and did good work except for dripping sink sludge on hall carpet. My problem is that he tried to double the bill to $300.00 for a job that took him 30 minutes from when he stepped out of his truck to when he left. As a contractor I told him no way and he accepted his original quote. Get the price set in stone before he starts. This was over two years ago. I was sort of intimidated and afraid to leave this review. I have since moved.

Honest , helpful people are hard to find.

Called Jake after my sink in garage which is used as drain out for washer machine  fell off the wall

He told me take a picture , he called me back said you have p trap and 2 inch pipe

Just go to home Depot and buy slip on , glue for it and a pipe - make sure it's 24 inch min rise (I believe) and your done !!

Saved me literally 800 to 1200$

Jacob came out to our home to unclog our kitchen sink piping which was backing up. Jacob was very personable and honest. He did not upsell anything and did not try to sell us additional services that we did not need.  He focused on the problem at hand and remedied it efficiently.  It was clear in his examination and diagnosis of the problem that he is very knowledgeable in his field. His pricing was very reasonable.  Finding an honest and affordable plumber is a rarity. We will happily use Jacob for all future plumbing jobs.

Our toilet flooded Saturday afternoon, 2 hours before guests were expected to arrive for our Friendsgiving. I had a big emergency at my rental.  Drains were backed up and clogged to entire house.  Jacob came within the same day and put a camera through my drain and identified where the clog was.   He was able to come the next day and fix the problem up to my property line. It was a big job that involved digging a trench 4 feet deep because the clog was was located outside.  He was very reliable, friendly, patient and understanding. He took the time to explain to me what was going on with the drain and what he would do to fix it. He even invited me to go up my roof and look with him at the camera that he used that basically accessed my drain from my rooftop all the way down and through my house and underground through my front yard towards the Main Street drain.

Jacob was great in providing a good honest business as he advice what the issue was with the work needed to be done. He came twice because we had purchased the disposal that needed to replace the old. After installation, there was a leak on the new disposal, so he advised that he will return the following day with a better disposal that he installs for his previous work done with customers.

After completion, he did other recommendation for future work needed. I like to support small businesses especially if they do great quality work. I definitely would refer Jacob to friends and family.

Jacob is an absolute class act. I inquired about service from him for a clogged / seized garbage disposal. He called me up and told me he was going to save me some money and walked me through how to fix it myself over the phone.

He could have easily charged me to come out and do it but he chose to be a true bro. I will be calling him for any Water / Waste / Gas in the future. What a stand up guy!

I want to thank my fellow Yelpers for leading me to Plumbing by Jacob.  I had what I thought were 2 relatively minor jobs - a hung up disposal in the kitchen and a worn out flapper valve in the bathroom.  I called Jacob due to the recommendations on Yelp, and could not be happier.  Both jobs turned out not to be as quick and easy as I thought, but Jacob was able to overcome the obstacles my lack of knowledge presented.  The disposal had to be replaced - luckily he had one in his truck - and my great toilet parts purchased from Home Depot turned out to be not so great, but Jacob made it work.  In both cases, he used experience and ingenuity to get me back up and running within the hour's time he quoted.  And all the while having the sunniest disposition I have ever seen from a plumber, and most other folks.  Plumbing by Jacob is a real find, and again I want to thank him for his honest and quick work, and all of you for the suggestion.  Happy holidays, and keep safe and well.

I had the opportunity to need a plumber. I checked Yelp and Jacob's name kept popping up. I was getting ready to sell my house and wanted to have him fix a shower that wasnt running right, and replace a couple faucets. I spoke to Jacob about the job and he went over my options and costs. I never met with him in person, I had a lock box on the house and he was fine to come and work on the place without me there..huge help for me and my family!!! He sent me pictures and called me to make sure we were on the same page. I was able to pay over the phone, which made the whole process so easy for me. I came after everything was done, and all I can say if Jacob does awesome work!!

More than pleased with the service today!! I know we will use Plumbing by Jacob for all future plumbing needs big or small. Work is done by owner and done right. Very pleasant to deal with. I had our corroded gas line replaced from gas meter to shut-off. He explained everything including how he would bring it up to code with proper pipe material, depth, grounding and what the gas co. requires for locating buried pipes. He encouraged pictures for home records. Work was finished in one morning and he came on time. He checked for any gas leaks and made sure all gas appliances in home working correctly afterwards. I felt the cost was reasonable and likely less than if I had called a mega-company with high overhead. Very happy I have a plumber I can call on now with total confidence!
