Roberto and his company were great. They were super reliable, had great communication, and were very responsive. Our main water line started leaking, and Roberto and his crew came right away to advise on the situation and provided recommendations. Part of the project involved getting permits from the city, and Roberto was on top of it and managed the process effectively. Roberto was also very attentive and able to address all of our questions/concerns.  We will definitely call them again for any future plumbing work.

It wasn't an emergency, but had a bathtub that was draining slow.

Roberto was responsive, on-time, and got the job done really fast and clean.  I needed to replace a pressure regulator.  Messaged him through Yelp, and within one minute he responded.  I sent him photos and videos of the problem, get a quote, and appointment all within less than 15 minutes.  Very friendly and professional.

On the day of the appointment he arrived on-time, and get right to the job.  It was done fast.  After it was done, he took the time to explain how to adjust the pressure.  I am really happy with the service.  Fast, easy, friendly, professional.

It's 11pm on a Thursday. Your 20 guests have gone home, the kids are asleep, and you're ready to put your feet up, when you suddenly notice that your kitchen sink has water in it that seems to have Risen From The Deep. You reach for the disposal and the water goes down, until you notice that it's now rising in a prep sink 15 feet away. You shrink back in horror as both sinks now start to fill with brackish water as a foul stench fills the room, and you realized something is happening that is definitely beyond your ability to fix.

Oakland Drain Cleaning stood out in the crowd of Yelp reviews. Roberto wrote me back within 5 minutes, and was able to swing by this morning (after A+ communication, and an on-time arrival), and had everything snaked and fixed (!) within the hour for a perfectly reasonable price. We now have a for-now fix and a sense of what needs to be fixed to keep this from happening again (old house, old pipes, nothing surprising - we knew we'd have to replace a few parts eventually, and now we know the time is now), and we are just so immensely grateful. Our double sink kitchen drain with garbage disposal backed up on a Monday afternoon.  I called two other companies I previously used. The first company referred me to another company because they were booked solid. The second company indicated the earliest they could come was Thursday.

I checked Yelp again and decided to call Oakland Drain Cleaning after reading the reviews; I was keen about checking more recent reviews. At this stage it was 4:30pm so I knew I needed to call sooner than later if I wanted any chance of getting an appointment for Tuesday since many plumbers close shop by 5pm.

I called and Roberto answered! After explaining our situation Roberto indicated he was on a job but could likely come by the next day (Tuesday). I received a text at 4:47pm confirming an appointment for 8:30am Tuesday. Tuesday morning at 8:02am I received a text indicating Roberto was en route. Roberto arrived at 8:20 being sure to put on shoe covers before entering my residence. The drain was cleared by 8:35 including drain flowing freely and Roberto double checking to insure there were no leaks.

Roberto was courteous and efficient. I will definitely consider his services for any future plumbing needs!

I recently had an issue with a leaking toilet connection and was fortunate enough to find Roberto at Oakland Drain Cleaning. It was late in the evening when I called, but Roberto still made it out within 45 minutes to check out the problem. He then gave me an estimate and we agreed so he went ahead and completed the job first thing the next morning. The whole process was great, Roberto's communication was top notch, he was also very laid-back and the overall experience was excellent. Highly recommended!

We had an emergency issue in our condo when water from the upstairs unit's sink flooded our laundry room. On very short notice, on a holiday weekend, Roberto answered our call, and was over within 30 minutes. We accidentally hit a plastic pipe when we were gardening that connected the water to our backyard. Water was leaking and it meant we had to close the water main since we didn't have any valves  to individually closed them.
Roberto at Oakland Drain Cleaning was the first to reply and the one that had the shortest timeline to assess and fix the issue.
In the end he fixed both the pipe issue and also proposed adding valves to the lines connecting to the back.
We'll definitely look for their services again!

Roberto was amazing. I had a complicated sump pump install that required some research. He was able to come up with a solution that will give me peace of mind despite how much rain comes our way. He installed a dual pump system with battery backup that will cover even the most severe situations. I can't recommend him enough. He was also the first to respond and came out right away to give me a quote.

Roberto responded and was able to scout the issue at 9pm at night. Then he came first thing the next morning and dug to identify the issue. He shared photos so I knew what was going on. He found a 14 tree root so I called in a tree service and then will follow up with Roberto to finish the job.

Roberto (the owner operator) is an excellent plumber, great to work with, and provided fair upfront prices. He helped us with an urgent fix for a backed up sewer lateral late on a Friday and rerouted it for a permanent fix before Sunday was out. Friday at 5pm is a tough time to find someone to help when sewage begins flowing up your aging parents' bathroom, but it comes with the territory of older houses in the Berkeley Hills.

Roberto was available and came by in about an hour. He was well-equipped and got everything flowing quickly and capably, clearing some accidentally flushed unflushables and identifying the underlying problem root incursion in the sewer lateral with a video camera through the piping. After we decided to reroute the line, Roberto was able to get a crew out to help him with the job Sunday and get the house back to full function at a fair price. The work was done carefully with minimal disturbance of the garden and they left everything clean and tidy.

We didn't use them for some work we needed but Roberto was very responsive and we would definitely consider them in the future.

Roberto did a great job replacing the valve for my toilet water supply so I had him come out to look at my busted water heater too. He diagnosed the problem and gave me a few options to fix it. He scoured the east bay for the part and within a few hours my water heater was working good as new at a reasonable price.

He even corrected the toilet flange and wax ring on my toilet for free!

Oakland Drain Cleaning and Roberto are wonderful! I'm so glad we found them. We had an acute issue where we noticed standing water in our backyard along one side. We also had a sump pump pipe leaking. I inquired in a Friday night and Roberto was out the next morning right on time to assess the issues.

He asked great questions, was knowledgeable, and didn't try to upsell me on services. In fact, of the three plumbers we brought in to initially assess, he was the best and most comprehensive, and most reasonably priced. We needed to have our bathroom plumbing converted from a single sink to a dual sink vanity.  Roberto tackled this complicated job and did an outstanding job.  He is very talented and has a genuine passion for his work.  I'm glad I found a plumber who is trustworthy and has reasonable prices for his work.  I feel like I finally found a plumber that I wouldn't hesitate to call for future work!

Tenant reported their gas bill increased dramatically and they could hear water running in the pipes continuously. I needed a plumber immediately.  Two plumbers I normally use were unavailable.  Found Oakland Drain Cleaning on Yelp and contacted them. Received an immediate response from Roberto and he quickly came out to the property.  He found a breakage in the line to the hot water heater need fixing.  Due to galvanized pipes existing throughout the unit, decided to have the whole unit re-pipe with copper. They made every effort to minimize any inconvenience to the tenants.  Roberto has good work ethics.  And his main helper, Nelson was also great.  Work was completed to my satisfaction.  Planning to use them again for any future plumbing needs.

He used this sophisticated camera to scan the sewer line ans find out exactly the location of the problem and was able to provide a reliable solution. After that, he made sure he cleaned the mess. He was able to fix a problem in a clog that was probably 40 to 50 feet down - a clog that the previous plumber could not fix. We had a great experience with Roberto, who owns the Company.  He responded immediately to our request to look into a leak with one of our kitchen pipes.  Even before coming out, he wanted to understand the nature of the problem and even asked for pictures of the leaky pipe.  He visited early the next morning and quickly diagnosed the issue as a crack in the p-trap.  He secured a new p-trap and installed it in a timely manner.  Great service!  We will definitely keep Roberto in mind for any future plumbing needs!

Roberto saved our lives! Our sump pump had failed during the NYE storm, and he came out faster than any other plumber could, identified the problem (yikes! our pump was ancient!), helped us pick out a new pump, installed it immediately, and even came back out -- at midnight!! -- to check when we thought it was having trouble pumping. We had a broken pipe that was leaking water. Roberto immediately went to work and revealed the sprinkler valve from our main water line had broken. He replaced the valve and repaired the broken pipe. Roberto with Oakland Drain was very responsive. We had a sewer later clog on a Wednesday night and Roberto arranged to come inspect and give us an estimate first thing the next morning. The price was reasonable, and they had it completed quickly. Roberto also went through the effort to do a detailed inspection of our plumbing to give us some informed options to repair the issue and prevent us from having to repeatedly clear the old clay pipe. I called Roberto at 9am on a Saturday to repair a clogged kitchen drain, by 2:00 he had diagnosed the problem, talked easily about how to fix the situation before he started work, gave me a fair price, replaced pipe, and added a J junction, repaired poor work from previous plumbers,  ran a camera down the rest of the drain system to ensure it was in good shape, and then removed the debris that had been left by previous plumbers doing a bathroom remodel.  It feels good to know that hand shake deals are honored and then memoralized in writing with a warranty.
