Do not go to these guys! Quoted a different price on phone then at home. Did not use any attachment on very small cable and left with the drain more stopped up then before. Seemed to want to sell me a more costlier job. Workman talked constantly and  promoted other fixes.

We had a major clog in our drain. The plumbers did an incredible job for a really good price. Our plumber named David Robertson and his helper were very courteous and did a thorough job. They went above and beyond. I highly recommend this company.

Long term smell under the house? Garage being turned into an ADU leads to trenching and discovery of massive plumbing problems that the contracted general contractor didn't 'plan for'. They wanted an additional $50,000 on top of the contracted amount ($196,000) do the plumbing work. Mr Rooter completed the work for ~$22,000. It was the cleanest, most polite, on-time group of crew I've ever had the pleasure to work at my home. Explained everything that was going on!

One possible question? I didn't see any female crew members in any of your pictures or ads. I'm sure you must have some, they were just on other jobs. Right? When we have so many Plumbing Business to choose from, some women crew members may be what makes some people lean your way.

WOW, I purchased an undersink water filtration system and called around to get it installed. The technicians came the next day... quick service! After looking under the kitchen sink for about a minute they came to the conclusion that the cost would be $785 to install the system. Lucky for me I am a contractor and new I was about to get hosed. I said I wanted to get it done but not at that price, so he asked what I was willing to pay. I new right there that this wasn't the company for me. I called a few more places and the going rate for this sort of installation is $175 - $250. So long story short, different company, professional install, perfect system all for $200. And Mr. Rooter said $785 was the going rate!!!

Ismael was the technician and was impressed with his workmanship, Ismael solved three problems for our facility, Ismael was able to pull toilet and run cable pulling back roots clearing our line. Ismael also was able to fix leak located in wall area and finally Ismael was able to dig in front of house and replace broken pipe and putting pipe coming up from ground to run cable for future. It's like nothing happened to the garden in front of the house, he puts everything back to where it should be. Ismael finished at 3 am in the morning, so impressive and dedicated to completing job tasks.  Ismael for your hard work.

Every year (for thee last 5) we have Mr. Rooter come out and rooter from the house to the street as preventative maintenance.
They are always polite and willing to share ideas.
We've had NO drain problems since.

1.5-2x the price of others but they have more guys available for emergencies if that's what you need. You'll pay for it

I would like to start off by saying that my mother paid 90$ for Ismael to check the water heater. He then said that the owner said it wasn't even worth repairing and that they would be happy to replace it for 2,500$ my mom declined and said that she was going to look into the water heater, since it was only a little over a year in age. The manufacturer sent the parts for free since it's under warranty and has a friend that's an honest plumber. He replaced the part on our water heater for 125$.
My mother wanted to leave zero stars and felt upset that she paid 90$ to get lied to. She originally hired Mr. Rooter because she didn't want to bother her friend who's a plumber with driving from apple valley for the job. This was a disappointment for my mom.

If I have to give them a star at all...its a big zero. Made appt for one sink to be cleared. The advertisement said, CLEAR ANY DRAIN $65.00. I mentioned that we had the coupon from the Laguna Wiods Globe for $65.00. When the plumber got here, he took one look and said it would cost $178.00 to clear the drain. This is false advertising. This is a bait and switch. This is taking advantage of seniors.
I called their office and spoke to the same person that made my appt. She asked if I wanted to speak to the manager and told me he would call me back. He never did.
I ended up clearing the drain myself. Took all of 10 minutes.

David Robinson is very friendly & he explained everything to me about everything that needs to be done. I would definitely use him again.

David is by far one of the best tradesmen I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. The culmination of years of experience this man has proved to be what was needed for my water heater issue.

When I opened the door, he introduced himself with great a big smile and a firm handshake; a fantastic thing to see nowadays.

From explaining how the water heater works for future knowledge to showing me first-hand what each part does, not only has he resolved my issue quickly, but taught me a lot of things to watch out for along the way.

BEWARE!!! We had over $8000 worth of work done that came with a 25 year installation warranty and a 50 year manufacturers warranty. This company is not honoring either warranty. Corporate is not standing behind this warranty either. This local franchise said that they would redo the work at a discounted price and.... warranty the work - WHAT??? They won't honor the original work warranty so why would they honor a new warranty.  Sad that we now have to get a lawyer involved to help us with this. (1 star only because no stars wasn't an option)

If I could I would give them a 0 rating I would. Shane said I had a leak in pipe and had to drill holes in my tile in my house and it would be @12,00!! All I had was a stopped up toilet! They charged me $890. to unplug toilet but that I had a brojen pioe so all the tile flooring would have to be dug up! I felt I was scammed because I'm an elderly lady. I arguedcw/ them and recieved $300 back. I called a friend's plumber he came out and pulled a small towel out and said there were no broken pipes just clogged from towel! They wanted to charge me $12,000. They are scammers and take advantage of the elderly!

Mr. Rooter delivered with quick professional service. Customer service was fantastic- Shane hooked it up quickly scheduling a technician to fix our drain issue after our recent hurricane.  Ishmael arrived in the agreed upon 2 hour window and quickly went to work.  I'm glad I took their advice and got the a hydro jet service instead of going the snake route.  Their pricing is competitive and we couldn't be more satisfied. Hopefully not anytime soon but we know who to call for great plumbing work.  Bravo Mr. Rooter Team!

Had an backed up kitchen drain.  Ismael and Pedro responded with an hour, giving me a phone call and a text to keep us informed of their estimated arrival time, en-route.  They quickly diagnosed the issue, provided reasonable estimates for a couple solutions to our blocked line, and quickly got to work.  Really happy with the responsiveness and the professionalism.

The two guys that came out were very nice and helpful.  I was very happy with the plumber.  The reason I gave them 3 stars was because of the mess they left. I wrote the check and said thank you and good bye etc not even thinking there would be wet rags left in the planter.  Seriously there were two guys a plumber and a man in training how hard could it have been to pick up the rags.  As I said I did like the plumber and he was very easy to work with.

Do you want to have a $1200 hole in your front lawn? then call these guys.

Mr Rooter came fairly quickly for a back-up in the main drain in front of the house (not a life or death scenario). Here's a history after that:

- The original quote for just coming out to see the house was around $300.
- Doing a basic rooter job to see if that would clean the line: around $600.
- Digging a hole and cutting a 1 foot segment of pipe and replacing it with a temporary fix: $1200. That was without even filling the hole. No joke.

Mr Rooter actually offered (attempt to scam me) a $4500 fix to replace the entire line (approximately 30 feet of pipe). I stopped after reaching the $1200 point luckily.

After going to several other companies and getting an update on a quote to see if it would be necessary to do a $4500 job, they all told me no, and that a simple cleaning of the root system/patch would be sufficient.

I called back Mr Rooter to get them to come back out to finish the job. They said they wouldn't do it for less than an additional $1200. (total for the job would be $2400). I told them that they hadn't finished the original job, and that according to all the other companies that it shouldn't be more than $600. Mr Rooter refused to complete the job AND hung up the phone on me (manager would only identify himself as J.C.)

* Followup - The city came out and inspected the work, and let me know that Mr Rooter did not pull a permit (as they should have and therefore are legally in breach of city protocol). I am currently pursuing the company for malpractice through the city, public works division, better business bureau and contractor board.

BOTTOM LINE: Save yourself a lot of time and money by checking around with a few other companies. There are plenty of 24/7 plumbing companies - don't use these guys.

Requested a difficult drain clear, Ismael worked on it for 40 mins, then recommended hydro jet clearing, after another 40 mins of labor, drain finally flowed freely. Woulda taken me 6 hours. He arrrived in  less than an hour, kept my hall and bathroom clean, kept my cost down, worked hard to get the drain flowing and at a reasonable price.
Appreciate his efforts.

We had a emergency plumbing issue and had no water coming into the house. We called Mr Rooter and spoke with Supv Shane who promptly came to our house and assessed the situation. Subsequently the company owners son John arrived as well as tech Ismael. Mr Rooter clearly described the trouble and advised what was the resolution. We authorized the work to be completed and we're completely satisfied with the price. Mr Rooter wasted no time and immediately began to trench the troubled area which was repaired in a timely manner. If we had another plumbing issue we would undoubtedly call Mr Rooter again.

We had our plumbing done by Ismael, he was very thorough and very professional. He did a good job. Before someone else was doing it but every time and then it breaks, now I have peace of mind not to worry about coming to the restaurant  with leak faucet or anything . Thank you Ismael.

Ozzy is he best! Asks for him! He is a no nonsense plumber, great work. Super friendly. Very inexpensive. I highly recommend them.

Both of our toilets clogged, with one overflowing and leaking water all over the floor. We called Mr. Rooter's and they sent someone out immediately! Ismael came to help us, called to let me know when he was 20 minutes out, and was able to figure out the issue quickly. He was very helpful and informative and and provided us with excellent service and a resolution. We appreciated the great service Ismael and Mr. Rooter's provided!

It's Sunday and the shower won't drain and the toilets won't flush.  I see an ad for Mr. Rooter in the paper for $55 line cleaning so I call the number.  A guy comes out and says it will be $113 to cable the shower drain and the toilet.  He ends up only cabling the shower but still charges me $113.  The toilets still would not flush ... he said the sewer main line was the problem.  He recommended digging up the sewer pipe and installing a ground level clean out and hydro-jetting the line for $2200.  After a reluctance on my part to approve the job he offered to install a sewer clean out with a senior discount for about $1300.  I told him I needed a second opinion.

I ended up calling another plumbing company (well rated on yelp) who cabled the sewer vent on the roof for $100 and the problem was solved.

Had a minor plumbing job opening a clogged drain in my condo. First they quoted $120, but brought all excuses and jacked up the price to $400. In the process they broke the restrainer basket and caused a slow leak. We called them again, first they came and said we forgot to tighten something, did it and left but the leak continued. They came a second third time and asked for $125!!!
I do not trust them at all. They jack up prices, break stuff and refuse to fix it! No more business form me!

Ismael was my technician and helped me solve my leaky shower. He was able to replace my shower cartridge and solve the problem. He was both professional and clean. I highly recommend Ismael of Mr. Rooter!

I needed to replace the cast iron drains under my 1961 era house because of constant leaks and water backing up behind my washing machine. I went through a major sewer back up in my property today and I had to do a review due to the great service I received from them. This is actually the second time I use them, but the first time in OC. The person who provided the service was John and he worked super hard! He was here for hours trying to clear the pipes and he successfully did it. If you are reading this review, you probably know how hard is to find a professional service with good price, well they did it! they were very professional and cordial at all times, I highly recommend them!

I had Mr. Rooter to my house on a Saturday afternoon due to a clogged kitchen drain. I was told there was no additional fee for the weekend. Their response was prompt and David the plumber was friendly, however, no amount of friendliness could prepare me for what I was charged. With a senior discount that he said was $100 off, I was charged $500.00 for hydro jet cleaning. He also told me that I needed to have the P-trap replaced, which I assumed would be included in the original price. I was wrong. I was charged an additional $249.00 for that. It is upsetting that David did not inform me of the additional cost before doing the work. He was there about one hour and my total bill was $740.00. Everyone is telling me that I was ripped-off and I believe them. I do not recommend this company.

Had as good of an experience as you can for having no water. Mr. Rooter came by within the hour to help get our water back on. We had a tree root bust through our water line. They quickly got the parts needed and worked outside through a rainstorm. Oscar was amazing and they were reasonably priced. He put in more time than he may have thought he would and honored the quote. Thank you!

The tech, Ismael Kabigting that was sent out to rooter our sewer main line was extremely professional, explained everything he was doing and why . He worked well into the night to get our clog problem resolved in not only the main line but all the toilets and drains connected to it. I highly recommend Ismael and this company.

Juan Alberto of Mr. Rooter Plumbing came and cleared my upstairs shower drain.  He was  punctual, polite, and very professional.  Charged just what was estimated, $55 (with a coupon from the newspaper).  Totally recommend him for customer satisfaction!

I had David and Isidro take care of a water leak and replace my broken toilet with a new one. They were very helpful, polite, and fast. I will definitely call again if I need help.

I used Mr. Rooter Plumbing for the new home I just got. They re-plumbed my main drain and took care of other drain issues the house had. They do great work are very quick. A big thank you to James for coordinating the work and Ismael and team for handling all the labor. I really recommend them for any plumbing work, there is nothing they can't handle.

DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY.  Our kitchen sink was running slowly and we were expecting house guests so we thought we'd get ahead of any potential problem and have the lines snaked.  The technician came on Monday and snaked the lines from the kitchen and one bathroom and said they really needed to be hydro-jetted, that 50 years of gunk and grease had been built up....and that will be $1400.  We said we'd think about it.
About an hour later I tried to use the kitchen sink and the water wouldn't drain at all.  Called the company back and they said they couldn't send anyone until the next day.  Same tech came out, tried to snake it again, offered the hydro-jetting again but with a senior discount to $1100.  We said no thanks.
We called another plumbing company who did hydro-jetting (@$199 per line!!).  They came out the next day and said that if we had hydro-jetted the line the kitchen would have been flooded.  Oh, and by the way, we didn't need hydrojetting.  They snaked the lines from the roof and cleared the clog...for $150.  
I have tried contacting Mr. Rooter since I had paid them for work that they didn't do but no one will call me back.

DO NOT BOTHER TO CALL(657) 549-1984 .  Paid $78 after discount for the kitchen clogging only with 30 days guaranteed.  Same night my bathroom is flooded and the kitchen, which they do not snake it long enough to push 20 feet to the main pipe.  Calling in the next day, then wait 1 more extra day, advising to do the whole house cleaning $2200+, or $469 the same pipe.  Same pipe which they snake the first day, with voided 30days guaranty now 1 year, HOW? Paid to do the same job with 1 year in question.  HELP YOURSELF CALL SOMEONE ELSE, PLEASE.

David and Shane were a pleasure to deal with. The installed a whole house water purifier.

They answered the phone quickly and scheduled David to come out and fix ruptured water line right away. He showed up on time and was knowledgeable informative experienced and friendly! Great experience given the situation!

We had a slow running toilet that could only flush liquids. This was a unique situation and while I normally am a confident DIY person, i knew this needed a pro. David did a great job assessing the situation, laying out the options and diligently worked through the issue. Between his expertise, 30+ years experience and top quality equipment, he solved the problem nicely. David is very honest, transparent, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend David and his assistant for any plumbing job. What a great team!!

I called Mr. Rooter on Saturday and they had someone come out within an hour. David was able to immediately asses the issue and clearly explained and demonstrated it for me. I was extremely happy with his quick service and will definitely call Mr. Rooter again if I have any issues in the future.

False advertising ALERT!

Told us it would cost atleast $500 to clear out kitchen line (that has its own cleanout) and RUN CAMERA (Free Camera coupon NOT honored).
David Robinson explained that the pipes need to be prepped and specially cleaned (for $$$) for FREE camera inspection.  They do arrive quickly and are very friendly, UNTIL you question the CRAZY pricing and false advertising. He also said that all the coupons are for veterans and elderly (even though it does not say that on the coupon). Very shady and unethical business practice.

We were helped by Ozzy. He was clean, courteous and professional. We had a major soft stoppage and he needed to use two different snakes to get it out. He advised us that we could use a pipe cleaning with the jetter and explained everything. My father-in-law happens to own a plumbing franchise in Northern California, so I was well aware that we needed it. He gave us the quote, and it came with a three year guarantee. It took Ozzy most of the day due to the horrible condition of the pipe, but we only paid the original amount.

That is the best thing about Mr.Rooter. Set prices. Thanks again Ozzy! You are awesome!

This company charge you way too much!! They were at my house for prbly 5-10 min and not emergency situation, charged me a few hundred dollar... wouldn't recommend

Pricey. They left a mess. A leak occurred due to the work performed. Tech returned saying the leak would cost me when in fact they caused it.  Every time tech needed a quote he had to talk to supervisor...it reminded me of going to a car salesman.  Never again, It was a ripoff .!!!!!

Gas Line Repair.  Mr. Rooter was called out to get us an estimate to repair our gas line. Had a technician come out the same day. Mr. David Robinson was onsite within the hour of the service call placed. Found the issue, explained the work that needed to be done clearly and replaced the line with help of his partner Ernesto. Work was completed same day. Pricing is fair and quality of the work is fantastic. We highly recommend Mr. Rooter.

I called Mr. Rooter on a Saturday morning after another company didn't show up for an appointment to fix my garbage disposal. David came out the same day and replaced the unit in about an hour. He was very thoughtful and knowledgeable!

My disposal drainage didn't work so I called Mr. Rooter 2 days ago because I had a Valpakcoupon for 65.00 for the job and 15% off for seniors.  WeWell , my bill was $295.00!!!

I could understand double the price due to inflation and gas for a bill of $150.00 but quadruple increase is unheard off!!!

I am also in touch with Valpak for incorrect advertising.

Please be extremely careful in dealing with Mr Rooter Plumbing as well as using Valpak coupons.  Don't be like me!!!

Professional and they adjusted their time to my schedule. Work was done competently and price was very competitive. I will be calling Mr. Rooter again.
