J&J saved our Labor Day! Saturday afternoon my kitchen sink drain snapped out of the wall and left my family stranded for what I assumed would be the entire holiday weekend. I know the large chain plumbers charge a huge premium for holiday weekends and I didn't personally know any independent plumbers that I could trust, so I checked out yelp and sent an email over to J&J around 6:45 pm. I received a call within 25 mins and set up an appointment for the next morning.

Kerry Chase and his son made quick work of the rusted out pipe and found a very reasonably priced solution that did not involve a jackhammer and a new kitchen! My wife is up and baking her amazing cupcakes as I type this and our Labor Day plans are back on track.

I have used JJ Drain & Sewer twice now and can't recommend them enough.  We had new countertops and sink installed and they hooked up the disposal and faucet and combined two drains to one.  They were on-time, friendly, and fast!  They charged me exactly what they quoted me as well (which was extremely reasonable compared to others I called).  Will do business with them again!  Thanks guys!

Not happy with service. First impression on 4/10/14, Hector came in to do an estimate to clear my drains at work (non emergency-free standing water at the top of the drains. The water never floods or drops). Hector came across as a solid professional. He quoted me $85 to attempt to clear 2 adjoining drains. He had informed me that the normal charge would be $85 per drain and I was saving $85. Called my boss and got approval.

On 4/11/14, Jason and Hector show up for approximately 15-20 minutes and attempted to clear one drain (allegedly, I was not partnered or shown what was going on), immediately after, handed me an estimate for $2,600 to repair a possible broken pipe. The explanation given did not make sense.  I asked, If the pipe was broken, wouldn't the water level drop after a 12 hour period of non-use? Another explanation that did not make sense. I asked if he tried snaking the other drain. He said no, he didn't need to. I asked for a price break and they said, No,$85 is their minimum charge. I called my boss and he was not happy that I paid in full for a service that was not rendered.

I will say that J&J plumbing (or J Chase Plumbing as noted on their invoice) pricing appears to be the norm or lower than other plumbers (I did get an estimate of $356 to clear 2 drains from a competitor!).

I did find another plumber that will attempt to clear the drains for $80. If not, I won't not be charged for a failed service. If anyone wants to know the name of the other plumber, ask.

Jason was on time and very quick with his work. I called for a quote and he was here the next day. I would recommend him to anyone needing plumbing help.

I had been having some issues with some drains for a while and have had a couple plumbers attempt to clear them. Unfortunately for me, they had been unsuccessful and not to mention; not free! I called J & J Drain & Sewer who are now J Chase Plumbing.... I read some of their reviews and even though I did see some unhappy customers had posted on Yelp, they were outstanding! They cut me a break for snaking multiple drains and were significantly less expensive than the average local competitor. Jason and Hector were thoroughly professional and wasted no time to get to work. For the first time I can say that I will write a review for a GOOD plumbing company.
They do better than most to go the extra mile and communicate any issues possibly foreseen in the work they are conducting. I recommend you call these guys, they are legit! I have had zero symptoms of mediocre maintenance and everything is draining better than I can recall.

We had a leaky bathroom faucet. We tried doing a quick fix ourselves with no luck. It's 9pm, and faucet is leaking like crazy. So we call these guys up, and they're able to come an hour later!  They have extremely reasonable prices as well. They're timely, professional and friendly. I HIGHLY recommend them!

JJ is amazing. I'm the son of a general contractor, and a homeowner with a family. This means two things I know are good craftsmanship vs inexperience or crappy work, and someone making a living vs a company trying to rip you off. When we had some blockage in our 60+ year old cast iron drain line, my wife called some other National rooter companies. They came out with mediocre equipment and jumped straight to the conclusion of replacing my drain line at a whopping $7,000.00. Luckily my own son-of-contractor experience helped me know that was a total rip-off, and that we probably didn't need the whole line replaced. A call to JJ Drain introduced me to Chase and his Son. They had the right pro gear to not only visially show me the blockage in my drain, but scan through concrete with a special gun and pinpoint it. I opted to dig myself and expose the problematic section, and once that was done, they stepped in and repaired it for a fraction of what I might have paid. These guys are classy all the way. If you want someone who will treat you with respect while helping you out, make the call.

We called J&J to fix a few small plumbing issues around the house, and to see if we needed a new hot water heater.  They were available, on time, and honest.  The guys (father & son) did good work, and took every opportunity to save us money, not pad their bill.  They didn't recommend extra work, and actually showed me how to make one repair myself, to get better hot water flow in my kitchen.  The charge was very reasonable, considering there were two plumbers on the job for 90 minutes.  

I was very satisfied - until I went into the bathroom and found that the sink wasn't draining, at all.  All J&J had done was change the stopper, which obviously wasn't the problem, but I called them anyway.  They were back at house within an hour, and discovered that the sink drain pipe was clogged with rust.  Even though this wasn't really their responsibility, they spent an hour replacing the pipe for free.  They wouldn't even take money for the part.  

Support your local businesses, especially when they're as good as this one.

Thank goodness for Yelp and J&J.  I had some shower clogging issues at my house which I believe was related to other plumbing in my home.  I got on Yelp saw the reviews from others and made a decision to go with J&J.  I made the right decision.  
The problem was determined, explained to me and fixed in a timely manner.  The customer service was awesome and I truly appreciate that!  Whenever I have an issue I will use these guys and will refer them to anyone who needs them.

Have used ASAP Plumbing for several repairs at home and our restaurant. New owner is great. Always get job completed on time. Great clean-up.

As mentioned by others,  Jason and Kerry are very friendly, upfront, and down to earth men with which  to conduct business. They completely emphatized with my plight, and offered great insight to my specific issue. Their assessment and service to snake a camera into the drainline of my unit saved me from a potentially lengthy he-said she-said between me and the builder of my warranted new home. Jason emphasized that any challenges from the builder I receive should be rerouted to him directly for my defense. Talk about getting more than I bargained for in service and support- it happened today.

These guys ...are so NICE. They remedied the situation pretty much as soon as they arrived. It was disastorous and water was flooding from the floor with the most heinous odor. We thought it was a city problem - but you know how quick the city is to respond to disasters. They fixed the problem and agreed to contact the city for the payment. Met their little grandson - SUPER CUTE kid. Totally love family owned businesses and i surely hope everyone tries them out before choosing to go with a national commercial plumbing chain.

J Chase was fantastic when we got our water filtration system installed. They had never seen the system before, but that didn't stop them when it came to installation. Instead of giving an I don't know how to do this answer, they were looking at the system online, the guidance online, etc. they were awesome about working with our schedule and when they could come install. Definitely recommend!!

After waiting all day for another drain service who came out, climbed on my roof, ran a snake 75' out (twice), then left saying they couldn't fix the problem, I read the positive reviews on Yelp for J&J and gave them a call. Kerry answered the phone personally and came out within 90 minutes with his son Jason and another plumber JR. The three of them were knowledgable, pleasant, professional, and VERY quickly solved the problem for much less than I had expected, instructing me every step of the way. They gave very expert and professional advise regarding future interventions, and offered to talk to our property owners to explain the problem. Obviously I cannot say enough good things about this family owned business. I will definitely use them for all my future plumbing and drain needs, and would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone. Thank you Kerry, Jason, & JR, you saved our Thanksgiving!!! Sad to say with all these stellar reviews, but my situation was less than stellar. I called for two quick fixes in my house and set up an appointment. I was referred to another plumber, who was a partner to do the job. The partner (drain solutions), canceled just before the appointment. I rescheduled for two days later in the morning. He never showed. I called to see the hold up and he said he was on his way. The guy never showed and never returned my call. A complete waste of my time, and completely unprofessional.

Honest, Helpful and Excellent Workmanship!  Mr. Chase and Jason were very professional, friendly and genuine about the quality of work.  The price was very reasonable, therefore if you are looking for plumbing work these are the folks.  Efficient, fast and great service!

My plumbing problems aren't even fixed and I could not wait to get on Yelp to give these guys the recognition they deserve. There is no wheeling and dealing with this crew. They give you the play-by-play of what's going on, they have the high-tech equipment for any diagnosis, they give you honest advice, they lay out your options, and their prices are more than fair. You won't regret this phone call.

My problems started with what I thought was just a clog in the main line... long story short the entire sewer line is a big mess. But despite the problems with the sewer, J&J kept me involved with the process of diagnosing the problem and openly discussed my options with me. I just can't recommend them enough; as long as they're around they will be my plumbers for projects large and small.

The owner and his step-son just left my house and did an awesome job.  Both of our toilets and bath tubs were backing up and it was disgusting.  I did all the husband stuff I could before I got mad and let my wife call somebody. J&J had good reviews so we called them around 6pm on a Saturday. They said it would take about an hour to get over to our house and 30 minutes later they showed up. The owner was a really nice guy, and walked around looked at everything and started walking me through the prices in a what if style: if he has to do this it would cost this much, if he has to go through the main there it will cost this.  We started talking and when he learned I was military he thanked me for my service and gave me a discount. He told me about how his sons worked with him, and when one of his step sons showed up to help you could tell the family loves working with each other.  They wre in and out in about an hour and a half it could have been 30 minutes but we talked outside in my front yard for a long time. It's nice meeting other people that enjoy working hard and earning an honest dollar.

I would highly suggest you stay far away from these plumbers.  Over the course of their work at our house they stole our tools (which we had to ask for them to return), tried to over-charge us without receipts to back-up the work, forgot to glue pipes together resulting in a huge kitchen tear-up (which they refused to fix claiming it wasn't their work), and left us with some major code violations that we now have to pay to fix because again, they are not taking responsibility.  If you have any interest in having the work done right the first time call someone else.  These guys lack integrity and left our house worse off then when they came.

I don't know about you, but it's tough for me to find a plumber who will answer the phone, let alone one who will actually show up and do a good job. I found all that with J&J plumbing!

I had a busted pipe flooding my garden by my house yesterday. I couldn't get it to stop leaking except by turning off the water to the whole house. I was worried because it was Friday and I didn't want to live without water for 3 or 4 days until a plumber showed up.

J&J was one of the plumbers I found online. When I called, Kerry (not sure if that's how you spell his name) actually answered the phone! I explained the problem to him and he was really nice and promised to stop by that same day. Then he showed up early! He said the leak was really coming from the inside of the wall and not from the pipe itself, so repairing the pipe wouldn't fix it. I was so glad that he really looked at it instead of just assuming that I know what I'm doing - because I don't!

He ran to the store and got parts and took care of the problem all in one day! And his fees were totally reasonable -- no emergency charges! He even came all the way out to Ramona to help me, even though he was working in Chula Vista earlier that day. And he was cheerful, nice and easy to talk to. What are the odds?

My husband and I were very pleased with the service we received.  They were very professional and friendly and got right to the job.  And did an AWESOME job. And the best thing about this whole experience is we only paid what we were quoted at and no more. No hidden fees. Now that is service. We will be calling on them for any plumbing we need and will recommend the to our family and friends. We are now new client's.

These guys are great!!   They came over quick, they're friendly, reasonably priced and they got the job done.  What more could one ask for?  I plan on using them for all of my plumbing needs.

Our water heater broke twice the last few years and each time we called JJ Drain , Sewer & Plumbing. This family owned business (Chase and son Jason) have been helpful, courteous, listens to your problems and needs but most of all they just get the job done. In addition, they're repair prices is less compared to other plumbing companies. I will have no hesitation referring them to my family and friends. Keep up the good work guys!

Great service.  I called on Thanksgiving weekend my rental unit in El Cajon had a clogged drain, and my usual go to plumber ws out of town.  Well JJ plumbing came right out and unstopped my drain at a fair price.  Would definately use in the future.  Thanks guys for keeping my Tenants happy.

OK I have to start by saying JJ were the friendliest bunch of guys I have ever done business with. Which makes for great customer service!

I have had so many plumbing issues in my new home that I called JJ twice to fix them! First out dated pipes were leaking everywhere and clogged up in the bathroom and kitchen, causing us to use a hose outside for water until we called JJ to our rescue. I called JJ after my mom, a real estate agent has been using them for years for her home and listings, recommended them. They came out and fixed the kitchen and bathroom clogs and installed some new piping and faucets that were much needed in my older home. They were clean, fast and efficient!

They later replaced our old rusted, leaking water-heater with a new one, as well and fixed a leak in my garage. Since I was unable to be home during the installation I was very happy that during the process they called me and kept me informed of the progress. By the time I got home I had hot water YAY :)

The prices were reasonable and service was fast and friendly. Thanks guys for the great service, now I know who to call for plumbing issues and who to recommend to my friends!

I had a leak in my bathroom and wasnt sure where it was coming from. I called Kerry At J & J and within 30 minutes him and his crew were out there to diagnos the problem. Come to find out, the problem was just an untightened supply line to the faucet. Not only did he tighten it for me and also checked the other supply lines in the bathroom, he didnt even charge me. I would recommend them to anyone and i have now found my new plumbers for life. Thanks J & J!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Customer service is important to me and it's definitely important to JJ Drain.  They repaired a rusted out water heater that started leaking last Friday, the same day.

My wife purchased a new water heater at Home Depot while I cleared out the garage and left it at Will Call for them.  The father (dispatch) was extremely friendly answering mine and my wife's questions.  They (Jason and Jerr) uninstalled the old heater, picked up the new one at HD, and installed it all within an hour or so.  While Jerr was installing, Jason had offered me some great tips for plumbing noise, water pressure, and even how to handle a new plumbing problem that arose the same time my water heater crapped out.  Jerr then demonstrated how

I love this company! I have used J & J  three times in 3 years and I couldn't have been happier each time. They come out in emergencies and get done whatever needs to get done for a reasonable and honest price. They're not afraid of getting dirty. They are the only ones I will call for all my plumbing needs.

Called this morning because i have been having problems with low water pressure that i was almost positive was due to my water softner.  I called to get an estimate for someone to come out and either service my water softener or put it in bypass.  Gabriel told me that if it was due to the water softener putting it in bypass was simple and just a matter of turning the lever into bypass mode.  Well i looked into it and watched some youtube videos, and whala...water pressure has been restored!!  I really appreciated how he offered me assistance before even coming out here!!  That a person that you want to do business with.  Thanks Gabriel!! Any plumbing issues tha i can't figure out on my own, I will definitely be calling you!

They started out great, but ended up disappointing.  The toilet in our bathroom started to backup while I was in the shower the other day.  We had people coming in to stay with us in a few days so I called that night.  They came over right away to look at the issue and suggested a snake or some sort of hydro cleaning.  The next morning they arrived and tried the hydro cleaning, but water started coming out of the bathroom and kitchen sinks, so they stopped.  Next they tried the snake but couldn't get past a certain spot of the pipe.  They were very rough while using the snake and caused a slight crack in my bathroom wall.

When the hydro cleaning and snake did not work, they continued to investigate and discovered that the main line under the house was in bad shape and had holes in it.  They said they could replace the 30 foot line for $2350.  This seemed high, so I asked some questions but eventually agreed and they went to work.  When I came home they said they discovered that most of the piping from the house to the sewer in the alley was also rusted through.  They said that they could replace it for $5500.  This is a huge amount so I told them I need to get another estimate.  At that point they pressured me a bit and told me that it was going to back up again in a few days.  I decided to risk it and try to get through the next few days since I had friends coming in.  Once the guys from JJ Drain left that first day I discover that they left me quite a mess.  Cigarette butts were littered across my lawn.  They even threw an empty cigarette pack in my lawn.  I also found some plastic gloves hanging from the roof and a few more pairs in various spots in the lawn.  They used my hose to spray off, but didn't turn it off all the way.  Unfortunately I didn't find this for several hours so I'm sure my water bill will be a nice surprise.

A few days later I get a new estimate to replace the piping in the yard.  The estimate is $3000, almost half of the $5500 quote that JJ Drain & Sewer quoted me.  At this point I know that I most likely got ripped off for the work they did under the house.  Anyways, at least I didn't agree to do the $5500 of work.  It sucks because now I'm in debt.  Hopefully the plumbing work they did under the house holds up so I don't need to change this to 1 star.

I love these guys!  This is a father and son team (Chase, Jason, & Justin) and they have been wonderful to work with. They always answer the phone, and are typically available within 36 hours, if not the same day.  I have two older homes here in San Diego, and it seems that something is constantly in need of repair. J&J has replaced two hot water heaters, a faucet, a garbage disposal, an outdoor spigot, and a water pressure regulator, in addition to numerous other repairs.  Their customer service and prices are the best I have seen, and I recommend these guys to everyone.  I agree with the previous post, as I too have found my plumbers for life!! Thank you J&J!

Fast, friendly and much more reasonable than the other companies I had quote a hot water heater replacement.  I will be using them again!!  awesome.

If you want to turn a small problem into a big hassle, be constantly lied to, wait for hours over and over again and have your plumber never show up I would suggest you use Jason Chase. I have never had such a horrible experience and dealt with so much dishonesty in any dealing of my life. I have never written a bad review of anyone but it is my responsibility to try and save other people from this crook.

I noticed a leak in the basement on Friday night... when it was still there Sat morning I went to yelp and starting calling.  When I reached Chase he walked me through some simple self-diagnosis and told me to call back if I still had a problem (that was nice)... well, I wound up having to call him back and Chase and J.R. came out and found a nasty pin hole leak in one of my pipes... they had to tear up a couple of walls, but boy am I glad they found that leak.
