I recently reached out to several electricians for a quote on installing a 240V with a 40Amp outlet, and after comparing estimates, I decided to go with Green Star Electric, owned by Jorge. Armando, who visited my property to provide the final quote, was very professional and respectful of my home. He explained everything in detail and answered all my questions patiently.

Despite being busy with other projects, they communicated with me to ensure that I was okay with waiting for a few more days to schedule the installation. I appreciated their transparency and willingness to work around my schedule.

On the scheduled installation date, Armando and another electrician arrived on time and took great care to keep the inside of my home clean during the installation process. They laid down plastic sheets and made sure to clean up after themselves when they were done.

One thing that stood out to me was that they installed a pipe that was wide enough for future scalability. As someone who may need another set of 240V for another appliance in the future, I appreciated their forward-thinking approach to the installation.

Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with the service that Green Star Electric provided. They were prompt, efficient, and left my property clean. I plan on reaching out to them for any future electrical work I may need and would highly recommend their services to anyone looking for a reliable electrician.

Jorge is very responsive. He answered my request for quote right away to swap out our hardwired 240V built in microwave to a 120V one. He asked me to call him for some additional information this AM and was able to dispatch an associate Eric.

Eric was very professional, friendly and helpful. He was able to diagnose our issue and come out with a solution and give an assessment.

Jorge determines the final costs and the work was completed quickly and Eric was great.

Their business is verified licensed and they do good work. Not the cheapest, but good work so reasonable. Highly recommended.

I had a mixed response with this company unfortunately. I used them for an outlet repair.

Positives:
- arrived on time
- respectful of being quiet when my kid was napping
- worked quickly

Negatives:
- didn't clean up completely-- left a little debris around the work area
- the main reason for deducting stars is that they asked for $60 above the initially quoted rate because they had to leave to get a part. I was not counseled about this up front when booking them, and they had an opportunity to do so over the phone. He settled for $20 above asking without having to consult with his boss, which made me wonder- are they instructed just to come and try to get any more $ they can?

Jorge @ Green Star Electric did several complicated jobs for us over a two day period.  He came with his crew first to evaluate what we needed done and give us a price ( that was fair compared to most ). I wish I could give them MORE than five stars.  Both days they came exactly on time.  They did an amazing job.  They installed a new circuit breaker box, a Ring device and installed new outlets in our kitchen area.  Jorge explained everything he was doing in detail.  He and his crew were very professional and accommodating.  Very pleased with their work and would recommend them enthusiastically.

Jorge is always the best to work with, my family and I have been calling him every single time we have an electrical issue that we can't deal with ourselves. He always makes it a priority to make sure that every service he does for us, goes as smooth as possible whether it's big or small! This year we decided to move forward with getting solar panels installed but we really needed to upgrade our electrical panel, called up the only professional I know! Green Star Electric got that handled for us, always impressed with how efficient they are! Been using this team for almost a year now!

So disappointed with these guys. I hired them for some work and they took forever to get permits (they never got them). Turns out the process to get a permit takes one day and not weeks like they were telling me. They weren't very communicative with me on the process. They didn't tell me I needed to get a meter spot and have Edison come out and unlock our meter. I had to fire these guys because nothing was getting done. I hired another electrician who quoted me 1800 less than what they did and has been in contact with me and walking me through the process. I'm a new homeowner, I don't know a lot and I've been learning as I'm upgrading my home but I do know how to see red flags when getting work done.

I needed to get an outlet installed quickly on short notice.  I called several places but Green Star actually answered the phone.  Juan arrived the next day, was very pleasant, understood what was required, and did a great job installing the outlet.  I then asked for a larger job replacing a distribution box.  Jorge quoted a good price, allowed for easy payment, and got the work done by Juan the next day.  This was very helpful for me as I needed the work done quickly.  I was impressed with the quality and quickness of the work.  Jorge was very responsive whenever we needed to communicate.  I will definitely call Green Star first the next time I need electrical work done.

Highly recommended from my next door neighbors! Requested a quote and got answer right away, I was inquiring about getting two recessed lights installed in the living room and in our open area open upstairs along with a outlet install in one of the bathrooms. When we agreed on the price which was well within our budget and looking at other quotes it was competitive against others we knew we were working with an electrician we would use for years to come! Was referred to Green Star Electric by my daughter and decided to give them a call! I told them I needed outdoor lights for my new carport, as well as a new ceiling fan for one of my rooms. Ricky and Christian came by and were able to finish the project in just a few hours. Throughout the project they were very neat and easy to communicate with. I reached out online and Jorge was quick to respond. He was courteous and was able to quickly to set up an appointment the next morning for my small job.  

Christian and Juan showed up on time. They got to work right away and were courteous. They made sure the connections were good and everything was working before they left. They left the job site clean and cleaned up the mess from a different electrician.  Even though this job was small, I'll reach out first to this company for future needs.  Overall they are easy to book, professional, reliable, polite and the prices are very reasonable.

Jorge responded immediately on the weekend, and was able to send his technician Juan out early Monday to replace three (3) GFCI outlets that were damaged by a water pipe leak in our kitchen.  Rapid and thorough service for even such a fairly straightforward job was truly appreciated, as it is a pacing item to repairing the other water damage to walls and cabinetry in our home.  Very pleased with the work and the pricing was fair.

Right from the jump I was happy I went with Jorge at Green Star Electric! Needed an electrical repair, and I called him around 10am and he told me he had an open window from 4-6pm same day! He came thru around 4:30 and even made sure to call us before he arrived. Don't really know what was wrong with my electricals but jorge did some wiring and re-wiring! Green Star Electric was great! I had them come out to upgrade my electric panel from 100amps to 200amps. They were very attentive to detail, making sure that the work would be done correctly. When the electric company in my area gave me contradictory information about proper placement of the panel, Green Star made sure to follow through and find out the correct information so the work would be done correctly and at the best price. Unfortunately, it took quite a long time to get a permit for the work, but that was an issue with the city, NOT the company and Green Star was fantastic throughout the process. Jorge kept in touch with me constantly about what stage the permit process was in, and did all the hard lifting of acquiring the permit for me. I never once had to worry that they had forgotten about me or my project, as Jorge checked in with me consistently and regularly to let me know the status, even when there was nothing to update other than an assurance that he was continuing to check in with the city about the status of the permit. With patience, we got it done! Everyone I encountered at the company was easy to talk to, helpful, kind, honest and knowledgable. Highly recommend!

I had an electrical surge and Gorge helped me through the process of understanding why my appliances weren't working. He educated me on what was going and consulted me through the process of working with my electrical company. He was super friendly and honest and I will definitely use them for my electrical needs in the future!

Happy I got the chance to work with green star electric, I did my online research, getting estimates and finally reaching to green star electric because of how kind and professional Jorge was over the phone. Told them the problem with my light bulbs and how I went thru so many just to find out maybe it was an electrical problem. He said that was most likely the case. Green star electric sent out Chris who came to look at the problem and immediately knew what was the issue. They noticed the holder was completely depleted which made a lot of sense cause I've been in this house for 10 years and never really got my electrics replaced. Green Star provided super excellent service when my main breaker went down in Inglewood. They were very responsive - Chris and Juan came out on a Saturday to check my issue, arrived right when they said they were going to and sourced the needed part that day, and were available to come back that day, but my community can be sticky with rules so I chose to have them come fix it on Monday. Juan was here first thing Monday morning making the repair, with Jorge helping troubleshoot over the phone. It was a complex issue and they stayed on the job until the repair was complete, testing everything, and communicating everything with me. They're on my speed dial now - - Thanks very much!!

My doorbell wasn't getting power so I called Jorge to take care of the problem. He sent Rick who arrived on time, was easy to communicate with, and repaired the problem quickly. Rick even went the extra mile to run to the store and replace a flood light I was having trouble with.

Jorge and his team did an outstanding job on our new construction build. We built a permitted ADU and would not have been able to meet our projected timeline without Green Star Electric. Jorge and his son, Ricky, came out to see the plans, the build area and to give us a quote. Jorge got us the quote within a couple days, which we really appreciated. We got about 5 quotes, and Jorge's came in at the most reasonably priced and itemized, which we really appreciated.

Jorge is always quick to respond and very organized. With such a big project, it was really great to be able to count on Jorge and his team. When we changed our minds on a few things, Jorge was patient and walked us through the pros and cons. He was always very flexible, understanding and NEVER pushy.

The team passed all inspections on the first go and the inspector even commented that he had never seen such a well done panel. Everything was super neat and organized, and everyone on the team that came out to do work was so professional.

I'm a little bit of a perfectionist, which I told the team, so I really appreciated when that they kept me in the loop at every step of the way. They got everything 100% the way I wanted and also provided their expertise and advice.

Truly a really awesome team to work with. We worked with over 5 contractor teams over the course of this project, and Green Electric was by far the best. When some of the other contractors had to shift their schedule due to inspections or team availability, Jorge was nice enough to flex around our schedule so our overall finish build date wasn't affected. His team even came on weekends to accommodate us, which we truly appreciated.

New build construction, especially in the timeline we had, was a stressful experience overall. But when we do it again, there's no doubt that we will be going with Green Star Electric. Jorge, Ricky, Christian, and Eric and the rest of the team are true professionals and so great to work with.

I originally contacted Green Star when I had a circuit breaker fail. They came out the same day to replace. They saw that the bus bar on the panel was damaged so I decided to have them bid on installing a 200 amp panel so we could install solar panels also. Jorge has been working with me and the solar company for a couple of months. They have recently completed the new panel installation. Their work is excellent for a fair price. They showed up when they said they would and completed the work in the time stated. Jorge responds when contacted. I would highly recommend them also as others have stated.

I had an issue with one of the circuits in my home and requested a quote from Green Star Electric.  Jorge at Green Star Electric quickly replied to my request for quote and asked me to call him.  I described my issue to him.  He said I think I can save you some money and he asked me to take a look at the circuit breaker for any breakers in the middle position.  There was one, but it wasn't labeled for the area of the home that was affected.  He instructed me how to reset the breaker and that fixed it. Thank you Jorge! Would definitely call Jorge at Green Star Electric for any electrical issues or work I need in the future!

I had another contractor that failed city inspections multiple times.  Green Star Electric gave a fair and reasonable estimate to bring project up to code.  They showed up when they said and completed the work in one day.  They showed up for the final inspection and walked the city inspector through the repairs.  I would hire them for any electrical work in the future.   Thank you for your expertise and professionalism.

Most of my power went out, but not all. The breakers were on but most of the house was still powerless. I called Jorge and explained the problem to him. Based on my description, Jorge suspected that it was actually a partial outage at Edison -- not an issue with my electrical system. He told me to call Edison first.

He could have made a house call and charged me $200 or $300 for a Sunday night house call, but he chose to tell me his honest opinion and save me money. Honest people are precious. Jorge seems to be honest.

Wow! Talk about a rapid response team! First contact at 3:30 pm, problem resolved by 4:45 pm. Jorge was quick, professional, and sympathetic to our plight. Jorge, Ricky and team were all so very helpful with our project and we couldn't ask for a better team. We needed to get our main panel upgraded and also replace knob and tube wiring. Green Star Electric is the best! I called two days ago and Jorge answered the phone right away. He sent two of his guys (who were super polite) to our house for a quote. They told me they would be able to start the job right away instead of making me wait. We had a gate doorbell fixed along with two garage lights. His guys had no problem going to the store and buying the lights for us. They were in and out quickly and cleaned up after themselves. And the best part was the price. We had a quote from someone else come in double to what Green Star did it for.

Green star came out and diagnosed the issue and did a temporary fix until the next day.
Then came back the next morning and installed 3 new dedicated circuits for the kitchen with no other issues

The electricians, Chris and Juan came out an hour after we called.  They checked everything thoroughly to determine why 2 lights in our bathroom had no power.  Happy to say they found the issue and fixed the problem.  They were both very capable electricians and personable.  We will call them whenever we have an electrical question or problem in the future.  Response, work and pricing exceeded our expectations!

My two experiences with Green Star Electric have both been stellar.

1. I had an emergency issue and called in a panic. Jorge was so kind and understanding and worked on routing someone to my house immediately to help. His responsiveness and how he jumped into action is much appreciated. Very grateful to have had his contact that day!

2. We were looking at doing extensive work and panel upgrade so of course I called them again after the first experience. Jorge came out to see the house, provided sound advice and even spoke directly with the electric company to come up with the best plan of action for us at a reasonable cost.

I found this company online and scheduled an appointment to have somebody help me install a dimmer switch and figure out some circuit breaker issues. The dimmer switch Andre installed somehow cut off power to another light switch which was supposed to be fixed at a later date. Along with the additional power issues, the second appointment was going to be covering a second dimmer switch but after being told I would be contacted for scheduling,  It was a very bizarre interaction, see pictures posted. Jorge asked me if I had picked up the equipment yet but I had clearly texted saying I'm not sure exactly what I needed to buy and asked advice when someone came by to look at it and let me know. He said he would contact me the next day regarding what time somebody could come by in the afternoon and I didn't hear from him again until the following Monday. I told him we were supposed to have scheduled an appointment on Friday to which he only replied, ok. Which was bizarre. Then I sent him a screenshot of the conversation to which he also replied, ok'. It was extremely unprofessional and I can't figure out why this went from an okay service to no communications and then simply, ok. This company is not reliable and installing one switch pulled power from another set of lights so in the end, I'm actually glad I didn't hear back so I can find somewhere else.​

Our solar representative and their auditing crew were impressed not only by how fast we were able to get the repairs done but by the quality of their work. Greenstar did a very good job this week. Their work ethic and organization made a week long job turn to a 3 day job. We are very pleased with the communication and work performed by Green Star Electric.  They installed two ceiling fans and the necessary wiring as the rooms were not previously wired.  They also added 3 electrical outlets.  Jorge immediately responded to my request for a quote.  Ricky impressed us when he came to do the estimate.  He was very thorough in investigating the situation in our house to give an accurate quote and he was very friendly.  We went with Green Star because of the attention to detail displayed during the quote process and we felt the price was fair.  Ricky and team were friendly and courteous throughout the installation and a great job.  They covered everything in the rooms with drop cloths to keep plaster dust off our things.  They also did a nice job of cleaning up.  I would definitely call Green Star again for any electrical work.

I sent multiple requests to different vendors to install a 240v outlet for my Tesla.

Jorge was very responsive and scheduled to come and take a look the next day. Among all the vendors, he was the one who came up with the most economic way to solve the problem.

Wow, these guys are an efficient, no nonsense outfit, period. They found a faulty breaker in my main box, and replaced it with a higher quality breaker. I also need a hallway switch replaced with a switch with night light. Boom, done. Reasonable.

Great introduction to Greenstar. We are new to the area and had two switches/outlets not working. Spoke with Jorge Monday, Chris and Juan were here this morning and in an hour the job was complete, area left clean, I was kept informed, and prices reasonable. Will be calling again!

Half of my lights and power went out at my house this morning. This never happened before. I called about 7-8 electricians going down the Yelp list choosing the best rated and closest electricians to me. I called right when they all opened and no one picked up except for Jorge from Green Star Electric. The others went to voicemail. Jorge was the only one that picked up and he gave me tips to trouble shoot my problem. I told him I already checked the circuit breakers and they were all normal. After some discussion, Jorge thought it might be an issue with the connection from the transformer and suggested I check with my power company. Jorge was right! Before I called the power company, their technician already showed up to work on the bad connector on the transformer. Thanks to Jorge for helping me out over the phone. He said if it wasn't the transformer problem, then he was willing to send someone right away to fix the problem. Please consider Jorge the next time you need electrical help.

Jorge contacted me quickly when I sent out multiple requests to different vendors. He told me he will be able to help but have to get back to me the next day morning. Got a message the next day am as promised and he was able to send his crew to me around noon. They arrived on time and were able to do the work right away. Jorge quoted me a very reasonable price and I am happy about the result. His crew was courteous and was able to resolve my issue which the previous contractor was not able to. Highly recommended and definitely will use them again!

Jorge and his crew have come out to my place to perform four separate jobs, and on every single occasion, they have been polite, professional, and effective.

When I had them come out to upgrade my circuit breaker sub-panel and install a 240v outlet (so that I could install a Level 2 charging station in my garage for my electric car, they were quick about it, flexible in their dates (it required the power to be turned off for a period of time, so we were able to arrange the work to be done on a day when we wouldn't be home), and they installed the outlet on the wall via a flexible conduit (in case I ever needed to change the position of the outlet). This last point was key, as I did indeed need to move it almost immediately due to it being installed over the studs where I needed to mount the actual charging station (which was my fault, since I told them where to mount it).

When they replaced a burned-out 120v outlet in my garage, they had it done quicker than I could have even asked for.

When they added an outlet in a room that required them to run power from an adjacent room, they did everything that they could to minimize damage to the drywall and repaired whatever damage they could.

Finally, understanding that, sometimes, things just go wrong, Jorge and his crew came out to fix an outlet that had very old wiring and had stopped working after they came in and did a previous job. The wiring was old enough that it would have broken no matter who did the previous work. But Jorge and his crew, after I told them what had happened, came back and fixed it free-of-charge.

The coup-de-grace on all of this is that, for every single job, they came in less expensive (one time by about $1,000) than any other electrician in the area.

I can state, without a doubt, that I will be using Green Star Electric for all of my future electrician needs.

These guys did a great job installing some new outlets in my house for a washer/dryer hookup and for replacing my old outdoor light boxes. They gave me a competitive quote, and were able to take care of everything in just a few hours despite a challenging installation through my old house's tight crawl spaces. Highly recommend!

Jorge and his team were great. Jorge showed at my house shortly after I spoke to him over the phone. Took notes and measurements of my project and left. Shortly after, he contacted me with a fair quote and promised to start the work after few days. I got a call later that he was able to assign the job to some members of his team and that they will be at my place the next day early morning. Indeed, they were here on time the next day and they got straight to work. Half a day later and they were done. The work looks perfect and working as expected so far. Throughout the whole project Jorge was very reachable and responsive even though it was during a weekend. Thank you guys!

Of course, everyone wants their problems fixed immediately. Sometimes that happens and sometimes it doesn't. Green Star Electric responded to my Yelp request quickly and I was lucky enough to be able to schedule them to come out within a couple of hours after contacting them. I was also lucky that my problem was an easy one. Because of their service, I'll be reaching out to them for some projects that I have coming up in the future.

I had the pleasure of working with Eric.  He is a very bright and skilled electrician.  I called them in the morning and they responded by the afternoon.  Green Star Electric is a now go to for me for any further electrical issues we have in our new house.

Our power went out on half of the house on Labor Day. Fortunately, Green Star Electric was able to come ASAP to fix our issue and they didn't even charge us because it was a simple fix. Definitely recommend if you want quick and reliable service!

I required an electrician, and a friend referred me to Greenstar Electric. She used their services and was extremely pleased with them.
I called for an estimate, and I spoke with the owner, Jorge, who scheduled a day to come to my home and see the work that I needed to be done. That included; running power for the electrical hook up of an exhaust hood in the kitchen area and replacing the on/off switch in the dining room. Jorge explained to me that his son Rick would be doing the work.
Once I was able to find an installer, I contacted Jorge and advised him that I was ready to have the work done. He coordinated with the hood installer and scheduled a day when they could do the job. Before the installation day,  Jorge returned with his son Rick to show and explain what needed to be done.
On the day of installation, it was seamless. There were little to no interruptions; they worked straight through with the hood installers until the electrical installation was complete.
Everything I asked for from the estimate was completed and was excellent. I was more than pleased with the efforts and performance of Rick, the electrician, and the final results. If I need any electrical work completed in the future, I will definitely call Greenstar as I am happy with the cost and results.
Again, both electricians were well-qualified and professional. I would highly recommend them for any electrical service you may need.
