Dial one put in a new HVAC system , put one in my install couldn't take than they said we needed to redo all the ducts , there manger called and said it was there fault and they give us a good deal , called another company to see qoute . dial one prices with the discount was x2 the other company major rip off and the installed and wired the Hvac system wrong. They just came out did there free check on it a year . The system was working just fine the guy said 2 words to me and email me some qoute of just pure random things that they claim to need to be fixed over $3,200. .. Stay away from this company unprofessional scammers.

We had our water heater serviced yesterday by Zay and he did an excellent job...clean knowledgeable and professional...Thank you.
Our sink was cracked and needed to be replaced, my grandma got a hold of Eric and he came out for an estimate and told her it would be $1,000 dollars. Too me that is a bit ridiculous to replace a sink that only cost $40 bucks. (Mind you this is a 91 year old lady, pretty sure he was just trying to take advantage of the her age) When Eric came back to do the job he took out the sink and told my grandma that the sink he had was still too big and needed to find another one that would fit,!so I saw him making calls and eventually he left.( while he was at our home taking the old sink out he was coughing up a storm and it sounded terrible mind you I have a newborn baby) I figured he will be back tomorrow to fix it. Nope, it's been almost two weeks and he still has yet to return our phone calls or anything. This is the worst service i have ever experienced. If you've come to do a job you at least fess up that you can't commit, you don't just leave and not respond. It is unprofessional.

Dustin took care of the annual maintenance check for my heater. He is very professional - asking if it was okay to come in/out when he went to his truck without knocking. His personable style and courteous demeanor is a plus.
I've been a customer if Dial One for more than 20 years - very reliable company!

Eric Young is a rock star! He is prompt, well informed, and made sure we understood what the job requires, including worst case scenarios. Eric is friendly, knowledgeable and is able to convey his work in layman's terms. I would highly recommend him for any job.

I was very satisfied with Dial One. Our AC unit was making a terrible noise and Tyler arrived right on time and quickly diagnosed the problem. He was then able to correct the issue right then and was so polite! I would definitely use them again!
Gary fixed the plumbing that was done incorrectly by another employee quickly and professionally!!
Horrible service, promised they would come out to my house with a trained technician. Technician arrived nice guy but had no idea what he was doing. When he called the office to ask that another technician come out they said no. Basically my time valueless. WOW, how is this company in business. Please don't waste your time with this company.

I think there should be standard residential prices that are quoted over the phone. I understand that there is a $69 trip fee. But, I knew what my problem was. So, having someone come out to give me a quote could have saved both my time and money and the technician's time (there was no way I would have paid $300+ for the service needed). I agreed to the trip fee only because I was under the assumption that my problem would cost $99 as stated in the online special; only to find it didn't apply to a main line clean out. I was truly disappointed in the lack of communication between the dispatcher and the technician. Because I think the wrong person was actually sent out. All I wanted was someone to do a standard clean out of my main line. Not the specialized hydro-clean out that cost $500. These are crazy, ridiculous prices!
On a positive note, Eric, the technician very polite.
Dustin M was very thorough in the multi-point inspection. He was courteous and professional.
John did a great job explaining the problem, was prompt and very polite. Unit is working great and I would recommend them anytime.

Finding somebody reliable, timely, and most of all HONEST is hard to find. I had the opportunity to utilize Dial One for two plumbing issues (one of them turned out to be a false alarm) thank goodness! But the service operator Jack was just great! I put this company on my speed dial as I know I'll need them for my rental units and own unit at some point. I'm also, a property manager, therefore, I'm definitely going to recommend them to our community members for service! Thanks!

Trevor was a great tech! Honest and nice! Hard to find these days! Gave my a free estimate! Came to clear a toilet. Works perfect now!
PAR EXCELLENCE! Installed new water heater and furnace. Positively satisfied EVERY step of the way. Great communications always, technicians fabulous. The work and cleanup, fabulous! Friendly, patient with all my questions, thorough, extremely professional. I highly recommend this company. Jonathan and entire team I cannot thank enough for such excellent work.

I scheduled appointment for air conditioner repair, I specifically asked if they were positive they could keep appointment and they assured me they would arrive between 3pm and 5pm.....we have toddler with serious health issues. I called at 5:02 and again they assured me they would arrive soon. At 5:36 I received a call that they would not be able to make it. Not reliable....
Great company! I would recommend to my family and friends. Technicians name was John. I was nervous to be in my home without my husband but after finding that the company was Christian based and had been in business for 30 years I felt safer without my husband home. He wore shoe covers which I thought was courteous and he explained the issue to me and the cost. I went ahead with the work and was very pleased. My husband and I thought the price was ok but because of the level of service we were given and because they are a Christian based company we would use them again.
Had problems with my Takagi tankless water heater not providing hot Water. Called Dial One and requested an estimate on checking it out. Johnny B. and his coworker Jesse came over.
Johnny checked my entire system and discovered the tank had a slow leak. Amazing guy he was explaining the whole proscess to me.As a new home owner he requested the receipt to see if it was under warranty unable to find it he took photos to document the problem and requested I get a certificate of occupancy to show when the unit was installed. He took upon himself to contact Takagi and got me a new tankless water heater. His professional and knowledge in doing his job was incredible when you get service like this why would you want to call any other plumber. I will definitely recommend him to my friends and relatives when they need a plumber.

UNTRUSTWORTHY COMPANY
On two occasions, Dial One Sonshine gave me false and misleading information (in writing) and offered me services I didn't need.
- The first appointment was an AC tune-up.
- Tech told me my AC and furnace were 6 years older than they were. I was told, and it is on my work order, that the units were manufactured in 2008 and they were manufactured in 2014.
-Tech suggested I purchase the Rejuvenation Package at $467 per unit so they would last longer.
-I declined the service and said I would think about it.
-Tech leaves and I go to the manufacturer's website with the model, make and serial numbers (found on a sticker on the units) and find the true manufacturing dates.
Two weeks later, Dial One Sonshine CONTACTED ME and offered me a COMPLEMENTARY flush of my water heater - no strings attached. What could it hurt? I agreed.
-I took half a day off work.
-The tech located my unit. He told me he didn't want to conduct the flush because it was in an unfavorable location.
-The Tech advised if I still wanted it flushed it would be with the understanding that if anything went wrong (e.g., the draining valve gets stuck open) I would be responsible for the cost of repairing and/or replacing the unit.
-The tech told me my water heater was manufactured in 2014 and was out of warranty. HOWEVER, a check on the manufacturer's website advised the water heater was manufactured in 2016 and still under warranty (I also have the installation permit that states the installation date and showed it to the tech).
-The tech told me and wrote on my work order water heater has a lot of sediment within the tank, not allowing the water to boil properly, and possibly get clogs or slow pressure to faucets. Highly recommend to replace the water heater with a brand new 40 gallon Bradford White.
-Research tells me that I have none of the tell-tale signs of sediment in my tank, my water heats quickly, and my water pressure is excellent in all locations in my home.
-Tech also conducted a water quality test and told me I had so much chlorine in my water that I might as well be drinking from my swimming pool.
-Tech tried to sell me a water purifying system.
Bottom line I was really mad. I contacted the President of Dial One Sonshine, Ken Elow, and calmly discussed the information above. Ken Elow was nice and apologized. He asked me to send him pictures of the manufacturing information on all my units and he would look into it. He emphasized that he would call me back in a day or two. I sent him pictures and copies of both work orders. It's been over a month and I haven't heard a peep from Ken Elow or anyone at Dial One Sonshine.
P.S. I am a single mom. I am not stupid. I do my homework. I DO NOT like to be taken advantage of.
I hope this review helps someone out there from being scammed.

Didn't get a chance to compare Dial One to another competitor. The agent that arrived one minute before the time window (2hours) scheduled told me to go with the cheaper bid because they wouldn't come close. He didn't even pursue the review of the work to give a proper proposal. They didn't need to waste my time, they could've given me a quote over the phone.
We have contracted Sonshine to perform annual preventive maintenance for several years now. Their service has been very responsive and reliable. Last Saturday was time for our scheduled periodic Hvac cleaning and safety inspection. Ivan, the technician arrived punctually and conducted a detailed check efficiently. He explained his work to us afterwards clearly, in easy to understand terms. He was personable and knowledgeable.
As promised, Dial One came first thing in the morning. Dannon is not only professional and polite, but a real gentleman. He quickly diagnosed the problem, obtained the necessary parts and expertly installed them.
He also gave us tips on avoiding problems in the future, and offered options for replacing discontiued bathroom sink trim. We will definitely call Dial One for that project, as well as for any other plumbing needs.
Thanks again, Dannon!
P.S. We called Dial Obe again this morning - one day later - for another repair, and once again Dannon was excellent. He brought Chris with him, and together they finished the second job promptly.

We have been using Dial One Sonshine Plumbing for years and their customer service and the finished work is what keeps bringing us back. A big thanks to Johnny and his team for getting it all done so quick and clean

We had a total HVAC re-do on our house- furnace, a/c, attic ducts and vents- earlier in summer. Everything was done by the book, according to code (asbestos removal, city permits, etc.) and cleanly done. They even swept out the garage area every day and didn't leave any mess in the house, we were surprised. The price was on the high side, but work was done to code with all the required permits, and within reasonable rates for a total HVAC job. (Cheaper places sometimes bypass some of the expensive code requirements and permits and special lead and asbestos abatements. And they may use substandard materials or cut corners in the attic, so you get what you pay for when you go cheaper.) If you want this job done right and done well, we believe this company is good that way.
We had a mainline stoppage that started at 5pm...Dial One was able to come out within an hour and begin fixing the problem.
Customer service was great, our technician Johnny was very professional.
He also explored all options for future prevention and found best rate available to help with our budget.
Loyal customer from now on (plus they off HVAC service too)!

Shawn G. was very professional and knowledgeable when he came out to assess our air conditioning unit. Melinda was very good with her follow up calls and I would definitly recommend this company to anyone.
We always call Dial One Sonshine when we need services. Unfailingly prompt, professional and courteous. This time was no exception. Johnny provided great service. Still hate having to call a plumber, but have great confidence turning to these folks when we do.
Unfortunately, the tech never made it to my house to complete the service. I waited during the appointment window, and received a call that he'd be late. He missed his window, then both times provided by the customer service rep, even though the tech was supposedly already on the way. I eventually had to cancel after waiting several hours with for a tech that never showed up. Other reviews on here seem positive, but pretty frustrating to waste half a Saturday waiting around and not even getting the job done.

I've used Dial One in the past and liked the service I receive from the techs. I had a tech come over today to service my hot water heater. Juan was on time and very pleasant. He was very patient in explaining what needed to be done and why. I had no idea the hot water heater even had an anode rod in it let alone that it had to be replaced every 2-3 years to extend the life of the unit. I've had my HWH for 11 years and never replaced it once UGH. I appreciate all the time he spent with me to explain what needed to be done. He was also very quick. I think he was finished in about 30 min with everything. Thank you for the great information and for educating me. Much appreciated.
Dial One replaced our furnace December 2022. Did a great job, so we thought. Went to use the A/C today. Wasn't working. Called an A/C company we used in the past. Dial One techs never tested the A/C after installing the furnace, otherwise they would've known that they had mis wired the A/C at both the furnace connection and on the outside A/C unit. Cost me $200.00. Just called Dial One to try to get reimbursed. SOL on that one. So, I'm out $200.00 for a wiring issue that the Dial One techs should've caught.

Luis and Jason just did a great job installing a new air conditioner and furnace system at my house. Those guys and the company itself are awesome. I've been using Dial One Sonshine for about 8 years now and they are an important part of keeping my house in proper working order.
Overpriced plumbing service. $400 to replace a toilet and $250 to unblock a sink. Unless you win the lottery, there are places much cheaper.

Highly recommended. They have a friendly staff and great service. I get reminder calls for my service which works for me because I always forget. On top of that they never keep you waiting. Tyler came to service the air condition and he went above and beyond. Thank you for being so efficient! You guys are amazing!

Ruben Manrique did a terrific job today on a plumbing problem. He came to my home thinking it was going to be a quick, little 30 minute fix...but surprise...it was all day. He was polite, gracious and friendly. Thanks to Ruben for being so good at what he does. He deserves kudos from Dial One Sonshine...who I highly recommend.
I was pleased with both the service and the cost.
My service technician, Arnold Espindola is an excellent Technician, through and very customer service oriented. In fact I would like him to do my next service work on my heater before Winter.
Arnold was through, and an asset to Sonshine as a supportive employee and was considerate of both my husband and myself.
I was pleased with the whole process with Sonshine from the appt setting, arrival time and the concern for my equipment and completion of the job.
We purchased the $99 special, that included my other two pieces of utility equipment. He explained the services and need to service them and that was also appreciated
Jeromey was so informative and explained in detail the condition of my water heater. Was so polite and friendly.
I am getting a new water heater installed I would love Jeromey to be the technician that installs it

Regarding Juan Sanchez
What a sweetheart. I loved that he came with PPE, was very professional, friendly, respectful, and listened to me about my air conditioner issue. He went above and beyond his normal duties by thinking out side of the box to find a solution as to why my air conditioner wasn't working properly. He is very eager to learn new things, and as such he will definitely be one to make something of himself and rise to the top. JOB WELL-DONE JUAN! Please send Juan next time to service my air conditioners.

We LOVE John!! Such a joy to have in the house for a service call, we laugh the whole time and he is such a stand-up guy...nothing better than a service tech with a ton of integrity to back up his incredible knowledge. Thanks Dial One!
Tenant said he had a plumber out to fix/replace the kitchen sink disposal that has been recently installed. They replaced my 1 3/4HP American Standard disposal w/ 3 years warranty with a Home Depot 3/4HP only disposal and charged the tenant $400 Then told my tenant that the brand new kitchen faucet installed is old and leaking and that he would charge extra to fix. Told my tenant to please consult me in the future. My regular plumber wasn't available so I called John w/Sonshine Plumbing and he came out and he quickly said there's nothing wrong with the faucet. Faucet is brand new, seal ring is new, faucet was probably loosened because tenant was rough w/the handle so he tightened the faucet. Thanks for being honest John. His team was very efficient and kept me updated on what was happening since I'm a landlord in TX. Thank you & I will definitely use them again. best.
Our AC went out last week and with the heat, we were desperate and did not do our research. DO came out, made one fix that the technician said would band-aid it for the short term, but diagnosed that we needed a new compressor and coil for $7500. As said, we were desperate and so didn't research or question. We scheduled them to come out and do the work in 3 days. In the mean time, my daughter yelped them and warned me against using them as many reviews said they had been ripped off and DO did not respond to any of those reviews. We cancelled our appt and scheduled another diagnosis with Service Champions who came out, spent 1 1/2 hours thoroughly diagnosing and explaining and left with our AC working, a bill of $300 AS OPPOSED TO $7500 and also left with our confidence the work had been done right, honestly and efficiently. Thank you, daughter, for saving us A TON of money.
Service was great and tecnician was very nice . However,I needed to replace the bathroom fan light in my kids bathroom and I just purchased a new unit for that. So all I needed was installation of the new fan Unit. I was quoted $490 and was told this standard price for this . The technician did not have to go in the attic and was done in about an hour .
I felt that this was overpriced for what I needed but payed anyway . I have been doing research all day and even called a few other places and found out that was charged way too much for the service . All I needed was somone to install the fan for me . Before you sign with this company do your research because us homeowners really have no idea of the cost . Ive had to learn the hard way today and will be extra cautious before I hire another company .
After 11 years of no contact from this company, I received two postcards and then a telephone call saying it was time for my annual furnace maintenance. I was also told that it was time for my annual water heater maintenance. Both would be free. 11 years ago, one of their technicians did the first A/C maintenance check. He was totally unprofessional and recommended $8549.00 of repair work. I said I would rather replace the A/C unit. He kept trying to have him repair it. I finally told him to write it up and get off my property. This company did not install my furnace in 2008 but somehow became involved.
This time, the A/C tech was very nice and professional. However, he recommended replacing all of the ducting in the house due to leakage ($7,895) and the variable speed blower motor ($1746.36) because it was leaking oil and about to fail. He also said it would be better to replace the entire furnace because it was old (2008). From my records, the blower motor was replaced in 2019 for $775 by my long time A/C company. After the visit, I cancelled the free water heater maintenance appointment (different tech). I would never do business with this company! They are shady.
These guys take care of two of my properties and they are legit. Low quality and cheap are not in their vocabulary. What you will get, is the best work at a fair price. Anything else would be uncivilized.
I've used this company about 10 plus years ago and they were good then I guess times have changed couldn't even get them to come out try it on the phone talking to the lady on the other end but unfortunately seem like my business wasn't important to them pretty much just got blown off guess I won't be using them anymore
Should of read all the reviews for this Dial One business because I could relate to some of them. The last time I used Dial One, they did a good job, so I thought this time it would be the same. I didn't realize that there were other Dial Ones, but this one was the one that popped up online. The work was ridiculous, a worker came to repair a pile which cost $384.85, but less than a week and it's already leaking again. That was awful of them to do such an awful job and should be embarrassed about it. They wouldn't guarantee the job since they told me that I needed a $2800 job done. And was very pushy about doing that job, even calling to remind me about it, too. I guess when it is individual owned you don't get the same quality service.
These guys are straight up scammers! I had them come out to fix my air conditioner. They told me the capacitor was blown and wires were burned. I was then told that I needed a new air conditioner. Then they told me I didn't have to pay for repairs because the unit was not salvageable. They are trying to get me to pay $1078 for repairs!
I got another estimate from Dragon Fly Air and they told me that the Dial One Sonshine tech ripped out all the wires and the capacitor to make it look like the air conditioner was no good.
Dragon Fly fixed the capacitor and the cut wires. It cost me $1052 to get the damaged fixed, but my air conditioner is fixed. Dial One is trying to get me to pay $1078 for repairs when they damaged my air conditioner. I wouldn't be surprised if the five star rating are fake. If they scammed me, they will scam you too. WATCH OUT!
Have used their services many times and will continue to do so. They are very professional and go the extra mile to make sure the house looks exactly the same as when they came in. Very quick call time to service. THANK YOU!

WE HAVE NO WATER. Had to shut off water to the house due to a broken sink shutoff valve. Called Dial One at about 6:15pm, told them the situation. Dispatcher gave us the service call quote and said the technician (Shawn) would arrive in 60-90 minutes. Called again two hours later, dispatcher did NOT pick up. WE STILL HAVE NO WATER. Called every 1/2 hour until 10:30pm. AT NO TIME did the dispatcher pick up. NEVER! Note: THIS IS A 24 HOUR EMERGENCY LINE. Our last call was to cancel the failed service call.
We COULD have, and would have, called another plumbing service if they had just been honest and told us they couldn't provide service to us. But no, they had to flake out on an emergency call. Well now it's too late to call anyone tonight; have to sleep. AND WE STILL HAVE NO WATER.

What a great experience. Our AC went out with guests on the way two days later. My regular service company said the first appointment I could get was two weeks later. I found these guys and they came in less than 24 hours and the whole problem was fixed and our guests are coming to a nice cool house now. Dustin was really professional and personal. I completely trusted them and they did a great job.

Update: Spoke with the owner regarding my experience. Appreciate the effort and time it took to understand my concerns and clarify their service package. I updated my review below to give a clear understanding of my recommendations/experience.
----
This rating of the review is due to marketing and lack of clarity regarding what the service entails after speaking to a representative.
----
I received a mailer from Dial One Sonshine for a tune-up/maintenance service for $59. I decided to schedule it after speaking to a representative on what this entailed (cleaning & diagnostic) I decided to go ahead with it.
Pros:
+ The technician that came out seemed very honest. He assessed my system, showed me photos of what he found, and successfully made me concerned about the chances of the leak from my HVAC system soaking the floor/ceiling above the bedroom and falling through weakened ceiling.
Cons:
- Lack of clarity on the mailer about what a tune up entails. Clean up for this business is light cleaning without taking the other system apart whereas other companies will charge $40/50 more to take the system apart to clean.
- Tune-Up/Maintenance service is not the same as what other companies' tune up service included.
- Light Cleaning Job Quality - There was no cleaning supplies taken into my home so I'm not sure what light cleaning what done and how it was done. The motor and system still has leaves and was covered in dust.
- A deep cleaning was not mentioned at all during my initial phone conversation when I called to ask what the tune up entailed. Only advertised to me when I asked if the technician was going to clean the system as well.
------
I recommend getting a clear understanding of what they mean by cleaning/tune-up and compare this against other companies. Through this process, I learned a tune-up/maintenance is different for this business. It's a light cleaning and diagnostic without taking the system apart for cleaning.

RIPPED US OFF!! NO STARS!!!!!!!!!
We had other plumbing issues afterward and asked the plumbers to quote the work Dial One Sonshine did. Both came to $400 less!! And these plumbers were worth the wait (hence a clue of a good business).
Since then I have called the company several times to explain the extreme charges. No one returned my call. What cowards.
Tyler was on time and very professional. Informative, fast, and helpful. Appreciated his expertise and advice.
I was in a bind and needed someone to come out the same morning. I made the appointment just after 8am and they were able to get a technician to the house by 10:30am. Shawn was very polite and used booties without me asking whenever he came in and out of the house. He was able to fix the problems in a timely manner and also took the time to change the filters for me. I highly recommend this company and Shawn.
I do not recommend this company. My AC stopped blowing cold air. I had just received a coupon from Dial One Sonshine in the mail for $100 dollars off of any service. I saw they had decent ratings and I decided to give them a shot. They arrived, one tech climbed up on the roof, said he needed to call his supervisor. Then the second tech arrived and said our system is shot and needs a complete replacement to the tune of $14K. Huh? We just replaced it 8 years ago, it should last 11 - 15?!
They charged us $89 for the visit. I asked for a complete and detailed estimate... and never received it. I received an invoice for the visit.
I called a second company. They came out and fixed our system for $300. They said the fuses were removed and that someone had released the coolant from the system. The cap was off?! They replaced the fuses and added coolant and did some maintenance stuff.
Now I'm not accusing Dial One of doing this... BUT you would think they would have noticed that the fuses were missing and the coolant was drained. The AC unit is not exposed to the public, it's on our roof. And isn't super bizzare that we received this coupon the same week that our AC went down, out of the blue?
I called Dial One Sonshine and talked to a manager and I complained about it to him, he apologized and said he would give us a refund and was going to check into it. We never heard back from them again. This was several months ago. I waited... and now I'm leaving an honest review.
Stay away from these people. I can't trust this kind of business practices. At least return the call. Two thumbs down for this franchise, period.

over 500.00 for a capacitor on a wednesday afternoon, with a special needs person in the home. do not use !! they get your credit card before going to your property
This is probably the worst experience ever. ERIC Young tried to rip off my 91 year old grandma. She got an estimate on Thursday or Friday. I get it, an undermount sink is going to cost 1300 minus 300 discount... so they quoted 1000 for the sink install. Which is extremely expensive let's say 3hrs maximum. Sink is about 39.99 at home depot. Silicone tube is about 8 bucks. So enlighten me as to why the labor is 952.01. This is not a slab leak or an extreme install.
Scheduled for Tuesday. Mr. YOUNG showed up to our home Tuesday about 10am or so. RIPPED the sink out then proceeded to try and install a sink that was the incorrect size. Keep in mind on his estimate he took measurements and noted them down on his sheet of paper labeled contract ..he proceeded to say I'll be back , I have to get the proper sink .....days went by and Mr Young was no where to be found. On Friday we continued to contact and leave voice-mail and he kept saying he would be here the next day, followed by some bogus excuse. So next week passed and we still hadn't heard from the lying Master Eric. Plus this guy took the sink with him and never returned it( thief) ... probably broke it in his truck.
As crazy as this sounds I'm kinda glad he bailed on us and left us hanging only bc we literally saved 1000 bucks. On the down side I had to install the sink for my grandma. I got it from Craigslist for 5 bucks in awesome shape. Paid 8 bucks for the sealant that attached the sink to the counter, re used the mounting brackets, sure I broke a sweat but it was all worth it.
This guy looked like a straight up thief when I gusty saw him. Call me judgmental but it's my opinion. I mean he did take our cracked sink without permission?? How bout I take his tools without his permission.
The man man could have easily said he couldn't handle the task instead of leading us on for almost 2 weeks.
Total waste of time. Don't see this company going far with this customer service or employees on hand.
I think most the reviews on here are fake. They quoted me WAY to high just to replace a sink faucet. And they couldn't even give me a quote on fixing a fiberglass crack in a shower/tub, when the lady over the phone said they would be able to. Terrible. Do more research that I did, don't trust their review ratings.

It started with Ashley and ended with John and Jono. Ashley is an absolute delight and makes you feel special. Then comes along John and Jono and not only do they do a great job in keeping me up to date on everytheing they're doing and then do exactly what they said they would do. They're both the kind of guys that you want to have over for dinner. We'll done dial One Sunshine, it all about the people and you have the best.

I called Dial One for regular maintenance on my heating and AC system. My system is getting older and im trying to prolong the life. JR came over and was professional and courteous. He explained to me my system, how my system could operate more efficiently, and how my system worked. A lot of information, but i appreciated it and learned something new. We had a good conversation and he is very knowledgable. He also went over my water heater and some concerns he had. I appreciated that he wasnt forcing me to get additional work done, as ive experienced with other heating & AC companies in the past. Overall, great experience with JR and Dial One!
I didn't even get to have them come in to do an estimate on the thousands of dollars they would make for installing air/furnace/etc/in our home. We had an appt window from1-3 which is terrible in the first place. Anyways they called at 1:40 saying it would be closer to three/for me to do something I needed, etc....So I leave my house for 45 min and am back by 2:30, ready for them to come close to three. They left a message at 2:10 saying that if I didn't call back they would probably have to go somewhere else. WHAT????!!!???!!! Why even give me a window/and why even call saying I should do an errand/and why even tell me they would be here closer to three???????? This is totally jacked up/obviously they book too many apps in a day/and it's a blessing I never had them come to do a lot of work in my home if this is the run-around I get. Thank god but buyer beware.

We've had chronic issues with backups and clogs in the line from the kitchen sink and laundry. A previous rooter company had told us the problem was under our driveway. Before breaking out the driveway we had Sonshine run a camera down the line and they immediately determined that the line doesn't even go under the driveway. It actually is 180 degrees the opposite direction and the problem is a sag in the line under our bedroom.
We opted not to repair it as we can have it jetted as needed probably the rest of our lives for less than the trouble and cost of the repair, but it saved the cost of tearing up and repairing the driveway for no reason.
Stay away from this company. They triple charged us for work that was done in our office building. (We called the manufacturer of the parts and they informed us we were over charged.) When you call the offices to talk to a manager you are informed they are too busy. when you continue to call them the person at the front desk tells you they are scared to talk to you. I originally called a different company but Dial One showed up. They are miss representing them selves on the internet so people don't see these comments till it is too late. The positive comments must be written by management. I would stay away from this company. They are bad news!!! Scroll down and read the real comments that tell you about them over charging.
Do not use this company. Their service is to inspect yearly your furnace or water heater. Their entire effort is to upsell you on one new item each time. Usually these items are around $400. Recently I had them come out to look at a water heater problem. All they wanted to do was replace the water heater. I saw an error code on Electronic igniter and figured out that it was a simple $50 fix. They wanted to charge me about $4000.
If you sign up for their annual service. They just continue to charge you even if you want to drop the service.
Highly recommend this company for Heating repairs. Our technician John Renteria (J.R.) was prompt and professional walking me through every step of the process.
My gas furnace was repaired quickly and JR was able to point out other areas for preventative maintenance to avoid bigger issues.
I am very happy with my service and would recommend Dial One Sonshine for your HVAC needs!
The gas company shut down our entire block and when they went around to turn everything back on, they said would not turn on our water heater due to a smother burner. I expected the worse but needed hot water so started calling plumbers Sunday afternoon. This was our third call - and we definitely saved the best for last. The dispatcher Dave was incredibly nice and helpful and was able to send a driver within 60 mins. Dave even called us back to let us know when he was 15mins out. Shawn was also really nice and knowledgeable and all it took was a good cleaning and a replacement of one wire and we were back up and running. For a Sunday afternoon call, price was extremely competitive and we are able to take a hot shower tonight. Thank you Shawn!
I called this company to come out in October and they were great.
Then on New Years eve! our upstairs bathroom decided to drain into the downstairs bathroom shower, and the seal around the toilet to leak as well! =[
I called around 10:00 pm and the person answering the phone tells me that they will come over but it will be an hour and a half , the tech is on a service call .I was just excited that the plumbing would be working again!!! I said Okay and waited and waited. No call ever came and when i called back at 1130 No one answered the phone!!!! so i had a floor and hallway full of toilet water and poooo!!
To make matters worse by that time i called other company's they didn't answer cause it was to late!
I ended up calling some other plumbers the next day, most were not working,
if they were i had to pay time and a half. which i ended up doing.
Thanks dial one Sonshine plumbing for flaking and costing more time/energy/ having to pay more money because of you business ethics. i had to pay time and a half because your not honest and a bunch of incompetent people answering/booking the calls and flakes for employees and for Thanks for the Crappy New years!

Recently I had a main line stoppage (which i did not know at the time due to my limited plumbing knowledge) In my bathroom. I am new to the area and found dial one in an online search. I called and spoke with Jono who immediately diagnosed the problem and set up to have a plumber come and look at the problem. He was upfront about the service call and that it would be applied to the cost of the work if I decided to use the company. The plumber came at the time he was scheduled and was able to walk me through the whole process. I decided to have the work done and was pleased with the end result. Jono even sent me a follow up call to gauge my experience with the plumber. I would absolutely recommend dial one to anyone in need of these services and was very surprised to read some of these negative comments since I had completely the opposite experience.
Not sure how I can't be in the system when I received an electronic invoice from your company after charging my credit card.
WARNING!
On 10/13/17 my wife and I experienced the sudden break of a 2 cast iron kitchen drain line in our home. We hired a restoration company to manage the plumbing, abatement and restoration process. The restoration company's primary plumber was not available, so they went with their backup, Sonshine Dial One (SDO). SDO performed an assessment of the sewer line, including running a video camera down the line, and concluded that the sewer line in the foundation of hour home needed to be replaced . Replacement could only be done by jack hammering into the foundation through the tile flooring. A second opinion was requested from the restoration company's primary plumber. This plumber also videoed the sewer lines and determined that the line was not seriously damaged, and were in fact, in very good condition for the age of the house. This plumber was able to easily repair the break without jack hammering through our tile flooring.
On 11/28/17 I received an email bill from SDO requesting payment of $1,199.93 for their services. SDO's bill did not provide any details regarding the services they actually performed. I made a reasonable request to SDO that they provide me with a detailed itemized report that clearly described the actual work they performed, including the number of hours they were at our house. SDO's only response was to send us a copy of their email bill in the regular mail.
On 12/18/17 I received a letter from SDO's attorney stating that we had 10 days to pay SDO to avoid the cost and expense of litigation, all of which will ultimately be borne by you. In addition, the letter included a Claim of Mechanics Lien seeking a court-ordered foreclosure of the real property on which the lien is recorded, i.e., our home!. Finally, the attorney's letter stated that , For your convenience, I have included a copy of the written contract. No such copy was included. All that I asked for was a report from SDO detailing what, specifically, they were charging me for. What I received was a possible appearance in court and a threat against our home. In order to avoid the time, potential litigation, cost and hassle, I paid SDO; but I still have no idea what exactly I paid for, or if it was a reasonable fee for services rendered.
Given my experience with SDO, I strongly recommend that you conduct your own investigation into SDO's prior services and their business practices before you consider engaging their services.
If you read my first comment carefully you would see that your employee was threatening me so we did not have him do any work on our pipe. We told him we were calling Proserve, that's why he acted inappropriately and turned off our main water supply out of spite. Our neighbor and the HOA scheduled for him to come out to fix our pipe in the neighbor's garage, without informing us. There was no invoice because he was dismissed, he only cut the hole in the wall. He left quickly because he knew he illegally turned off our main water supply. In the State of California it is a felony to interfere with a water meter. Only the water company can turn it on and off. Your employee committed a FELONY. You state that you have no records of service at my home, you have neither my name nor my address so how could you determine that you haven't done any service. It's cowardly of you to lie about this incident. If this happened to us it probably happened to several other people. That is what Yelp is for, victims like me giving my testimony about how we were attacked by your company. This incident did truly happen and the public has the right to know about the criminal offenses your employee perpetrated upon my family. If your employee Shawn would like to give his statement to the Orange County Sheriff's department their non-emergency phone number is 949-425-1800 and he can ask to speak to Deputy Gregor , he was the person to take our statements for the police report.
I want to thank Jason, Chris and Mat for their professionalism and hard work. They came right on time and replaced my water heater. They replaced the line valve, connector and secured the unit for earthquake safety. They also replaced the forced air heater and air condenser. I was so impressed with their efficiency and attention to detail. They answered all of my questions and cleaned up behind themselves including the removal of my old appliances. I must say it is refreshing to see a company with employees who take pride in their work, and treat their customers with respect. Well done Dial One!
These guys basically scammed my parents of $59.
They sent my parents a postcard saying it's time for an AC tuneup and annual maintenance, which will increase your system's efficiencies, extend the lifespan of your equipment, and improve overall comfort. It's true that this postcard doesn't specify exactly what a tune-up is, however I'm pretty sure it should be SOMETHING.
The actual visit involved the technician Andy opening the cover, showing my parents some dust and rust inside the unit, and then suggesting a replacement. The replacement was verbally quoted by the supervisor, Manny, at $5,000-6,000, but when the actual quote came, it was $19,000-$32,000. Apparently there are some rebates that some customers once got, but Manny didn't have time (apparently he was hungry- I guess it was around lunchtime) to let my parents know what these were. Andy didn't clean anything and put the cover back on the unit. Put on the spot, my parents gave him $59.
My parents later tried to call the owner to ask for a refund. He said our unit is too old to tune up and $59 is a service charge paid for the visit. Again, while tune up is not exactly defined, I feel it should involve something besides staring at your unit and telling you to get a new one. This tuneup seems like a marketing visit masquerading as a service. Beware of your discounted tuneup postcard!!

I called to ask for a FREE estimate on plumbing problem. Was told $89 fee required fore estimate. I told them I was a long time customer and looking for a free estimate but would call another plumbing co.
Few minutes later receptionist CALLED ME back and said her boss would waive THE ESTIMATE FEE!
Tech arrived 2.5 hours LATER than promised and said I owed $89 for the estimate. Told him fee was waived by receptionist's boss but Tech said the paperwork did not say that. He called the office and they too said fee not waived until I explained to the owner the circumstances of the free estimate. He proceeded to lecture me on the costs of sending someone out for the estimate etc.
I guess they're not aware that it's customary to get 2-3 estimates before getting work done especially in this economy!
He didn't like what I had to say and texted his Tech to BLOCK ME AS A CUSTOMER FROM NOW ON!!!!
I guess they don't need the work that badly??? Good Riddens!!
I am very satisfied with the service provided by John M. He was,on time, explained all that he was doing. He is very knowledgeable. Keep up the great work.
Thank you,
Anna J.

I don't leave many negative reviews but here goes...these guys are clueless.
I was having issues with my AC-- not blowing cold air, blowing hotter air as the day progressed and shutting off randomly. I described these issues to the tech. After he spent about an hour tinkering, he advised that my 3-yr old AC unit was fine, that a new filter would help and that I was expecting too much considering the age and condition of my home-- 1971 stucco with original windows and insulation.
I asked him if there was anything I could do to increase the performance of the unit and his only suggestion was to change the filter monthly vs quarterly as I had been doing.
This service visit occurred late Spring of 2016 after I had been in the home for only several months. Since then I have been in a few neighbors' homes with same 'vintage' windows and insulation but their AC's worked great and they weren't spending a fortune on air filters and utility bills with little relief from the heat.
I had another AC company out yesterday and within a few minutes he determined that my unit was completely out of refrigerant. He even described EXACTLY how the unit has been working including the mystery leak I had a couple weeks ago.
When I told him about what the previous tech said, he diplomatically told me that the tech should have know I had a coolant issue and recommended a leak detection service.
In hind site, I am glad that Dial One isn't going to be doing what is going to be major work on my unit.

Incorrect Diagnosis - they wanted to charge a flat fee of over $350 to replace a gas valve. They told us that we need to have an asbestos abatement company come out to put a 1' x 1 ' whole in our drywall (in addition to the $350) - he had the number of a guy that could do it. He told me that he couldn't tell me to make the hole myself, but if he stepped outside and I did it, well that would be okay. The guy had this baby face and looked honest, but the whole thing sounded fishy. They were also pushing some sort of a service contract - give me a break!
We called San Clemente Plumbing. They came out and correctly diagnosed the loose nut on the valve and fixed it in less than 10 minutes for $75! Before they came out they told us that if we needed to replace a valve it would likely be $100 - $200.
Sonshine has refused to refund the $69 charge for their misdiagnosis.
Heat wasn't working when we tried it for the first time after moving in. Called Dial One as I had used them regularly in a previous location (mainly for plumbing, for which they did good though expensive work): they sent a tech who couldn't figure out the problem exactly and quoted me thousands of dollars for several possible fixes, or $4000+ to $6000+ for a new system, while speaking tech-babble and trying to scare me. One example I remember: tech was freaked out by an unfinished area of ducting in a wood box under the furnace and insisted that it desperately needed a fix.
Called Dynamic Air Services for a second opinion: tech was certified specifically on heating systems; he immediately discovered the system was working once he turned the gas on (it had been turned off at the pipe). Found several components beginning to get old, but NONE needed replacing or even repair. The tech clearIy explained the system, the aging components and the likelihood that some may eventually fail, but asserted none needed repair until they actually failed...and they may last a few more years (for these components, failure would not cause any additional damage or safety problems). The most likely component to fail was a flame sensor that he said would be $80, if and when it failed. I was charged nothing but the basic service fee minus 10% for mentioning Yelp! He had the golden opportunity to sell me various problems/solutions, but said I needed nothing and if and when anywhere near the extensive repairs quoted by Dial One were needed (I showed him their written quote), he could install an entire new system for less (about $2800). FYI, the unfinished ducting box mentioned above was explained by the tech as a normal building practice (it's designed to be sealed and contain the air within the wood structure in that portion of the ducting; nothing was significantly wrong with it).
(Note, I was previously quoted well over a thousand dollars by Dial One to replace a water heater; went with another company who did it for about a third of their quoted cost.)
I have used Dial One Sonshine for my heating system for the past year. Shawn G. is very knowledgeable and able to explain what my furnace needs to run trouble free for the heating season. Would definitely recommend him!
Don't trust. They get in and then sell you. Act like you have a previous relationship with them.
A really big shoutout to Rick Will and Jason they are for sure dedicated team players and work well as a team.
So the other day I went into the bedroom and the floor was wet. Hmm looked up no leak started looking around and sure enough the A/C was leaking , found this out at 2 am in the morning. So the next day figured better call and see what it's going to take to repair it. So we called Mike diamond, a few other a /c companies and started the process of getting estimates. We'll after 2 or 3 estimates they were all pointing there fingers at the same root cause. Clogged drain. The a/c unit we have is small anyways and it seemed to always be working and the house never really cooled. Dial 1 and the team really took the time to look and see what was wrong, what we had, the pros and cons of the unit we have now, what it would cost to fix the old 1. The old unit was over 15 years old and was starting to have issues.Long story short- they gave us an incredible deal with exceptional customer service on a brand new 4 K unit and all new ducts. Very happy with the price and the house is cold now. The team I mentioned above was in at 8 am and out at5:30. Wish we did t have to upgrade but the dial 1 team defiantly made us feel comfortable that they would not only do the job right the 1 st time but we appreciate the great deal they gave us compared to the other estimates. If you need heating or a/c work done , don't hesitate. Just call them they are good. Also- they were very respectful as far a booties inside they swept the floor when they were done and vacuumed upstairs and down stairs. Very nice group. If the boss is reading this you need to take the boys out for drinks. Did I mention they got the system installed in 1 day? Thanks dial 1. You did good.
I had my air-conditioning maintenance done and was super impressed with my technician Luis Rios. He arrived on time using COVID precautions. Very personable and didn't seem to mind my husband following him around. Great at easy to understand information about what he was doing and was very thorough. Luis is an asset to the company!!
I have used AirWest HVAC since they designed and installed a new system in my home about 8 years ago. I recently called AirWest for a repair because my heat stopped working and learned they had merged with Dial One Sonshine to expand their services. Dial One came out 5 weeks ago and their technician, Oscar, quickly diagnosed that a switch in the furnace had gone bad. An order was quickly placed for my part and unfortunately, due to supply chain issues caused by Covid, it took 5 weeks to get the part. My technician Oscar stayed on top of the parts supplier however and if he hadn't it might have taken two months to get the part instead of five weeks. I'm happy to say that as of today, my home is warm again and all is well thanks to Oscar and Dial One Sunshine. This company seems very fairly priced for the quality services they offer and I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of HVAC service. No I'm not a paid advertisement for the company or related to them in any way. I just truly believe it's good to post a review when things are great and not just when things are bad. It's hard to find ethical companies nowadays that care about providing quality service at a fair price and I think Dial One is such a company! Thank you Dial One and thank you Oscar!

Excellent service by John Renteria on our HVAC system. Provided tips on how to keep system running at maximum efficiency.
Very happy with dial one, in particular John McEwen. I have him service my A/C every year since the previous home owner had this company install a whole new system in 2010.
Great company, reliable and professional.
Dial One Sunshine has been my service provider on my house for 15+ years. Are they expensive? Yes. Is it worth it? Beyond worth it!!! They come out 2x a year to service my system and provide recommendations to keep my system and plumbing running. I use them because I know they will do the job right, are reliable and know what they are doing. Yes I might pay more, but having gauranteed work and reliable service is worth it. The service men, Shawn, Nick, etc., have been nothing but great and knowledgeable about what they are doing. Again, not the cheapest, but always worth it.
Jono,
I understand what you wrote here, but I don't still agree with you. I am a first home buyer and I have no idea how much cost things are. That's why I wrote 'I should have searched more...'. My wife authorized what you quoted because she had no idea how much usually other company charged. Let me talk more about cost later.
1. You said that your technician was at my home for 4 hours to find leak, but that's not true. Two guys came in the morning and they(well, actually one. more explanation later) left around 4:30pm. Do you think that's 4 hours? In addition, there was tension between them(your two guys) because one couldn't find leak and he left and never came back. That's very unprofessional. The other guy said he might come back next day. But, thanks God, he tried one more time and finally found leak around 4:30 pm. That's the story.
2-3 days later, I hired another company and he found 2 leaks(what your guy found and another one) within 30 minutes. They charged less than 1/2 price of yours.
Your guy spent whole day and found one leak, and the other company spent 30 minutes and found 2 leaks.
If you were a customer, what would you feel? What company do you recommend?
2. You said, You have paid us for the services we charged for so I don't understand.
I have paid you because your attorney sent letter to us and said if not paid, your attorney would file a legal action to collect the debt. You called this 'excellent customer service'?
My wife and I were waiting for you to respond what you could do for this charge. well, that's our mistake. We should have called you and talked about it.
But, you didn't contacted us for about 3 weeks and just sent us a letter that we should pay the principal and 3% Month late fee. Well, that's very convenient for you, but as a customer, I don't see any 'excellent customer service'.
3. The costs you estimated were all expensive than the other company I hired later. (that's why I said I should have searched more.)
Some examples besides 'locating leak'
- 1 Pressure Regulator:
You-$478.34
The other-$300.00
- Repipe Single Story Residence(Our House)
You-$13,750.00
The Other-$6,000-$7,000
So, after all these, as a customer, what would you think?

Dial One Sonshine sent Shawn out for a routine maintenance today. Shawn was very professional and he was also conscientious about putting on shoe covers every time he entered the house. Shawn explained everything in detail and answered all of my questions. I highly recommend this company as they are friendly and very easy to deal with.

Had an emergency when our water wouldn't turn off from the tub, but they were able to dispatch Sean in a timely manor. Sean was great & helped us to get our 'emergency' taken care of right away. Very friendly & professional. Highly recommend & also recommended that people ask for Sean by request. Will definitely use their services again.

I had them do a check up on my AC. During the check up they blew out my AC breaker. They told me it was $350 to replace the breaker that they broke! They left my family without AC during a heatwave. I ended up going to home depot and bought the $13 breaker. DialOne don't abandon your customers over a $13 part, I will never do business again with this company.
Our Office AC unit was not working properly during this super hot week. I have tried and called so many places and no one can come till next Tuesday. I'm so glad I found Dial One Sonshine, they come on the same day and fix the problem right away. The technician named Tyler is extremely friendly and works everything in detail. He came in time to solve our problem! Thanks!!

We are very satisfied with their service. Erick is very easy to deal with. He constantly update us regarding his arrival time. We had a floor leak to which he is supposed to detect the slab leak. At the moment he arrived at our place, my husband already found the leak so we don't need his services. We are willing to pay Erick a dispatch fee but he said don't worry about it. He also gave us some advises about how to deal with our leaks. He is very professional. Will definitely use Dail One Soneshine again.
Danny and Morrisey were top notch! We received a call letting us know when they would arrive and they were actually early. We had the water heater, installed in 2015, replaced. They did a fantastic job! They did more than just take the old one out and put a new one in. They had to do a lot more to bring everything up to code; replacing ball valves, copper piping where needed, relocating the gas shut off valve, replacing the old platform with one that was much more stable and new straps. They stayed until the water heater came up to temperature and then checked all the household faucets to insure we not only had hot water but good water pressure. Danny went over everything they did and explained the annul maintenance, which is included When they left you would never know they were there. Not a piece of trash was left behind. All we have to show for all their hard work is a beautiful new water heater.

I had Dial One Sonshine come and fix my leaky air conditioner a couple of months back, and I was referenced by a friend of mine to use their services. The individual who came was very professional with everything and my air conditioner was up and running again without any leaks within a couple of hours. I would recommend Dial One Sonshine to anyone.... I'm actually kind of surprised with all of the negative reviews on them

I was searching for a different company and dialed them by mistake. When I noticed that I called the wrong company, Jonno was insisting that their company is a great one and he can help me with a second opinion on the estimate but I refused and he said he would be an assessment for free. He sent out Johnny and he said he never heard anything from Jono.
So they wasted my time over one hour to schedule this and Johnny said he won't do a leak detection for free, even though I had an estimate from another company. I was just looking for a fair price and a 2nd opinion not to pay $300 something more out of my pocket to hear the same thing the other company had already told me about.
Will NEVER again do business with Dial One Sonshine. 2 of their top people told us 3 different parts on our furnace needed to be replaced, estimating it would cost over $3,600 so we contemplated replacing the unit, but first we got a second opinion. This other company cleaned off the sensor and that was ALL that was needed! The cost? A $98 house call and our furnace is working great! Note: Airwest is now part of Dial One.
I needed a estimate for replacing AC furnace and ductwork (all of it). I thought a company would be happy to get my business. I called them to schedule an estimate they sent a tech for $89 non refundable if I didn't use their services.
20 minutes after posting, the owner called me and left me a message with his cellphone number. I called him back and he was nothing but business with a great attitude. He said he was going to send me a check for the $89 that I was disputing. Thanks so much appreciate it.
I tried to get an estimate. They sent me a partial estimate. The salesperson only called me and emailed. No in person sales meeting.
I tried to get more information to go forward with the project but was left with no response to my inquiry. They stole my $89 fee with no possibility of excepting the partial estimate. Very disappointed.
To all of those needing help, go elsewhere. Goettl helped me out greatly after this company was an utter failure.

Very pleased with the thorough work Ruben did diagnosing our plumbing problem. We were Ruben's last call for the day but he never rushed he checked and re checked ever issues and took a ton of pictures. He always wore shoe covers when entering the house and was more respectful to our home than any plumber has previously been. I would not hesitate to call him anytime to get the work done right! Thank you for looking out for potentially harmful issues in our house; as our family grows our health and safety are of upmost importance! Highly recommended!!!

Juan came around to help us with our yearly maintenance on our water heater. Incredibly friendly and informative. It was like hanging out with someone i've known for years. Always great service from this company, can't recommend enough!
Dial One Sonshine has been serving numerous household needs for many years now.
Most recently, I discovered a water main leak. Very stressful. Zay (Isaiah) was very understanding. He walked me through multiple options, and helped me set up financing. Zay and his crew ran into some unexpected complications, but figured out how to get the work completed, same day, as promised. Replacing that entire water main ought to give me peace of mind for decades to come. I truly appreciate everything they did!

I called Dial One based on the good reviews here and what I thought was a fair price on having a plumber come out to look at a leak.
Unfortunately for me that is where the good news ended. The plumber that they sent out to me was extremely unprofessional and he quoted me an absurd amount just to identify the leak that I had. I sent him away and had another company come out that was able to ID and reroute the pipe that was leaking for only a bit more than he wanted just to find the leak.
To add to that, the plumber that came out started ranting to me about how Obama has infiltrated the white house and 60% of the country knows that he is muslim and trying to destroy the country from within. I could go on about his views about government tracking, how he is an Oath Keeper, and more but I think that you get the idea.
I can not believe how unprofessional this was, and that he did it in front of one of my tenants as well. I will never be calling this company again.
Andy came out to service my HVAC system. He was on time and very knowledgeable about my system. He explained everything throughly and did the job with a friendly smile. Dial One always gives great service.

John and his son Tyler both very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable about their jobs. They repaired my A/C unit quickly and reviewed what they had done and the current status of the unit. My only disappointment was reviewing the bill afterwards. My wife and I spent the last three days in a house with temperatures well over 85+ degrees so we were grateful for the repair and at that point weren't concerned so much about the cost. But reviewing after the fact, being charged $425 for the service call and capacitor replacement which took just about 30 minutes seems a bit excessive. Understanding the $89 dollar service call and adding in the cost of the capacitor which averages between $25 and $35 the additional $300 for the work performed seems very excessive. I should have questioned it when they were day and it is my fault I did not. My recommendation to others is to get a breakdown of costs.
I would give this company a rating of 0 or lower if the system allows. Do not use them for anything! This company blatantly overcharges for services and employs technicians with low competence. I recently had an issue with an air conditioner unit. They sent over a technician who quoted $1000 to fix the issue and offered a guarantee of workmanship for 6 months. The technician spends 10 minutes working on the unit and calls me back saying it is fixed. The next day, I report that the AC unit is still broken. The same incompetent technician comes up and quotes another $500 to diagnose the issue. Their guarantee of 6 months is worthless as they refused to fix the issue the next day!
I found another reputable company that came out and eventually fixed the AC unit for $500. I recommend that you use Marina Heating and Air which is also based in Orange County.

Great service! Very thorough check of system and very polite. Explained everything clearly an was on time.
Our shower handle broke off at 7pm Sunday evening and we couldn't turn off the water. We had to turn off the main water line and I searched online for emergency plumbing and came across Dial One. In the mean time, we took a photo of the damage and my husband went out to buy the part. He showed the pic to the hardware store to see if it would be something that we could just fix. They recommended calling a plumber since the cartridge snapped and part of it was still stuck in the wall. Shawn came within 40 min and was able to replace the part, and we were happy with his work.
I was more than happy to leave him a great review and was planning on using Dial One for future work requesting Shawn. Ironically though, after reading the other reviews, it seems like Dial One may be quite pricey compared to other companies. I would really like to use Shawn again, but will have to definitely get other quotes. If Dial One is competitive in their pricing I would not hesitate to request Shawn for future projects.

Dial One Sonshine has excellent service. Upon calling they were able to send someone out to diagnose the problem and called 20 minutes before the technician arrived. Our service provider was Eric Young. He was the best technician I've worked with. Knowledgeable, friendly, and fast. He explained everything, answered all of our questions and was professional. I highly recommend Dial One and Eric, specifically.
John r came out Tuesday and diagnosed a bad pressure switch on our furnace and ordered the part. Came back Thursday morning as promised and installed it.
Second time with this company and both ended in a great experience.
Thanks john

2 years ago we had a new furnace installed by a different company and it made a horrible screeching noise every time it came on. The original company was never able to fix it. We contacted Dial One to get a different opinion of the problem and JR was magnificent. He was able to figure out that the gas pressure was what was causing the problem and finally resolved our issue!! JR was able to figure out what no one else could. Thank you so much JR and Dial One

Do not use these guys. They are a rip off and their technicians are not very competent. They quoted a price of $12,000 for a new HVAC system in a 2,000 sq ft house and others are quoting $7,000.
Hi, I didn't actually use your service, but I helped a neighbor out who has been out of work due to the covid restrictions. Your guy, Jesse, came over and fixed her kitchen clog perfectly. It's good to know there are good, local businesses like yours. Will highly recommend your company to others.
Thanks again.

Very pleased with service today from Dial One Sonshine. Johnny B was knowledgeable and got the drain cleared in no time. I appreciated the protective gear he wore, especially with the pandemic. I would not hesitate to call this company in the future.
Thanks Eric and Jason!!!
Dial one came to our house to repair a cracked pipe under our kitchen sink. They were both professional, friendly, communicative and most importantly showed empathy to our situation.
Our landlord had put off the work that needed to be done and both Eric and Jason stayed on top of scheduling and working with our landlord to speed up the approvals. They handled our plumbing issue as if it were their own house.
They had to break through concrete to access the pipe and repair. They completed the job quickly and efficiently sooner than what was predicted. For that I thank them, and give'em two thumbs up!

I just had my HVAC system replaced, including removal of old parts and asbestos residue and installing new ducts and vents and other system parts. It was interesting to watch and listen to the men work. You could see they were good at what they were doing and they enjoyed working with each other as if they were part of a happy family. They left me with happy memories of a very big project. Diane H.
Please do not hire this company. I had Dial one come to my home to fix my air conditioning unit which was not fixed in addition caused water damage to my home . They are over priced for what service I needed I could have bought a new unit. Please look elsewhere for service.
John M showed up on-time to diagnose our a/c system. He's a funny guy! Helped pass the time by telling a few jokes as well as offering basic recommendations of maintenance. The dude knows his stuff and was able to explain clearly what the issue was with no [fine print] involved. He's straight up and does not sugar coat the assessment. Doesn't try to upsell anything but keeps it on the real.
We have used Dial One since 2014. We liked them so much we bought their service maintenance contract. This week we called them for a leak and found out from Isaiah all our pipes were bad (mobile home from late 90s). Within 2 days we had a complete re-pipe and drywall job DONE (1700 sq ft home). The re-pipe contractors (2 of them) were super efficient and fast! Couldn't believe how fast the 2 of them worked! They protected our floors and belongings and did an excellent clean up job when done. Today we had the drywall contractors come out and except for us needing to paint you can't even tell the walls had holes! Again protected all our floor and belongings and worked quite efficiently. Then had a final inspection from Dannon who was just as courteous. You can't go wrong with Dial One!

I have had the pleasure of working with Dial One Sonshine Plumbing on multiple plumbing, heating and air conditioning related projects. They provided exceptional customer service and great communication. The owners and Eric Young have made working together an excellent experience with our customers. I will continue to use Dial One Sonshine for my plumbing, heating & air conditioning needs on all my future projects. They are courteous, friendly, well experienced, knowledgeable and professional in there field.
I highly recommend using Dial One Sonshine Plumbing because they can handle any plumbing, heating or air conditioning needs at a reasonable price. If you have a leak they can fix it, have a clogged drain they can clear it. If you have difficulties trying to locate leaks they can perform a leak detection. They also perform HVAC duct cleaning which reduces allergens while you are using your heater or air conditioner.
Worst experience every with a plumber. They came out for a pre-paid maintenance of my water heater. After 5 minutes of flushing the guy decided to stop because supposedly the drain valve was too small to let sentiment through. He did not bother to check the anodes or anything else on the unit. So, I ask him to check the A/C unit, to which he basically washed it down with a garden hose. I could have done that. Then he wrote a proposed maintenance bill for the water heater totaling over $2,000. The parts quoted would have cost from $200 to $300. I looked up the prices on-line and found that these were about $20 items. Do not use these guys. They will rip you off.
Very polite technicians, definitely will keep having service with this company.
Thanks Tyler - everything was smooth and professional from the first panicked phone call at 8:30 on a Monday night when our AC gave out. We were told that someone would arrive between 10 and 12 am the following day - and guess what? Tyler showed at 10 a.m. with a confirmation text 1/2 hour prior to arrival. It doesn't get better than that. Oh, yes, he fixed the problem quickly at a reasonable price and courteously but not aggressively let me know of the range of services the company offers.
Dustin quickly diagnosed the problem, but, unfortunately the solution required an expensive induction motor replacement. Dustin located the correct part and promised to return that day. True to his word, he returned that day and replaced the faulty part.
This is the second time I've used Dial One. Previously, Shawn had performed the service. In both cases the service guys were knowledgeable, polite to the point of solicitousness, and were genuinely interested in solving the problem and delivering top notch service.
I Initiallty had a misunderdtanding however this has been resolved quickly.
The employees and ownership CARE about their clients, quality of work and it is evident when speaking to them and the ownership. My rxperience was good and i find the team knowledgeable. I would definately recommend them highly. The warranty tect, Chai was great, arrived early and explained the whole system to me !
I called Dial One Sonshine on the weekend when my A/C fan stopped working. They schedule a technician to come out on Monday after noon. Juan Sanchez diagnosed the problem that the fan was a goner. He ordered the part and I asked for it to be expressed since is was pretty out out. The part showed up on Thursday and Juan came out on Friday and installed the fan and we were up and running. I'm not sure how this could have gone any better. Defintelt a 5+
I cannot recommend this company enough! Our HVAC broke on Tuesday, Saul came and took a look Wednesday, Matt and Chris installed our new HVAC all day Thursday, and Chai and Matt came and did some last adjustments early Friday. Our condo is old, and it caused some issues during installation that no one could have foreseen, but Matt and Chris were dedicated to doing the best job they could. They ended up working for nearly 12 hours and we still had a drainage issue (again this was the fault of our old, previously ill-maintained condo). But the company called us early the next morning and sent Matt back along with Chai, who handily fixed the drainage issue, triple checked that it was fixed, and double checked that there were no additional issues before they felt comfortable calling the job completed. All of the team were professional, friendly, and dedicated.
On a personal note, I have cats that are not allowed outside and all of the technicians made sure to close the door every time they went out. My cats never got out! They were very respectful of this, where some previous folks (not from this company) were not as careful. Matt, Chris, and Chai were so nice, it felt like having friends over. We spent a long time talking as they worked, and would be happy to use their services again, though with the thorough job they did, I doubt we will need to!
Thank you for our new HVAC and the great conversations!

I had this company completely replace my AC unit at there recommendation, I had operated the unit for 9-years and wanted the air to be colder and the unit to operate more efficiently. The unit replaced outside and inside where my furnace was was over $6,600 for full replacement (6/5/21). 10 months later (4/16/21) I had a $399 repair charge for something that should have been caught at the initial install and then again had and additional charge (8/1/21) $750 charge for a short and fuse. that's a total of $7,767. I now 10/1/21 have to call another repair company because the new system is not working, again. So... I had an old system that worked flawlessly for me for 9-years and the new one keeps breaking down. I have to say... this sucks. When you completely replace a system, you don't want to keep fixing stuff related to it. Of course they like to say that its not related to the new unit. But when you buy a car, you don't want to go back a week later to get new tires, or a new fuel pump. Do it right the first time. Will not refer them or use them again.

Dial One Sonshine was wonderful. They scheduled me for air conditioning service the same day and gave me a two hour window. They then called and said they could come earlier and gave me a half hour window. Shawn the technician was on time, professional, and explained everything and showed me pictures of what he found inside and parts to be replaced. He got the job done quickly and was friendly and kind. I would recommend this company and ask for Shawn Greany to be your technician. Unlike most companies that try to get you to buy a new unit, Shawn was able to fix my unit and offer services to check up on it in the future. I am so happy now - it is so hot out and I am nice and cool inside. Thanks, Shawn!

Called a technician to finish an already mounted mini unit AC installation. He he came up with a quote of 1800$!!! When I asked him how many hours of work, he said 2-4 hours work (parts are neglect-able). I don't think that is reasonable, usually it is around 80$/h and not 600$/hour (if it takes him 3 hours). His manager was convinced that that is a reasonable price, so I paid the $125 estimate price and I'll move on to another company.
I have to say working with these guys has been a great experience. Very knowledgeable of their work and professional. They finished up and made sure everything was cleaned up. Shout out to
Matt , Jason, Chris, Mauricio and Chai. Keep up the good work and definitely will be referring you to my friends and family!!

They came to our house to fix our air conditioner decided the capacitors were bad and needed to be replaced, after looking at it for a while another guy came out and replaced a circuit breaker, and said that was probably our problem, then the first tech came back to install new capacitors, and my husband observed the tech watching a utube video. He then replaced the capacitors with something he thought was compatible and fired it up and blew the fuses. Then he gave us prices to fix the one we had by replacing the compressor at about 6 thousand and then gave us prices for a new unit 8-10 thousand. We said we needed to get a second opinion and we were billed 508.00 to replace the breaker! The next day we had Trane come over, found the wires had been cut, fuses gone, and a bundle of wires on the ground. Trane rep said it could have been repaired but now we need to replace it! We feel we were ripped off by paying 508.00 for one breaker. We have contacted the company the next morning (Wednesday) and told them about the situation, they replied they send out their service manager but not until Friday! Extremely disappointed with Dial One, would never use them again!
Manny and Jose came to service my HVAC today and were extremely helpful, nice, and knowledgeable. For any future issues with my system, I will be contacting Dial One Sonshine. Thanks for the help today!

Ozzy and Ivan serviced my furnace today. They are beyond knowledgeable, professional, and very friendly. Highly recommend them and plan to use them again in the near future. You have one very happy customer!
I went back to a four-star from a one star. The owner did finally call me after the install was complete. I understand that he's busy, that's a great problem to have. I appreciate that and all he had to do was call last Friday as I was told he would. I am very grateful that it's done and completed. He called this afternoon, apologized, took ownership of the situation and assured me it is not how he usually does business. I'm very grateful for that. His installer, a young man by the name of Jason Garcia is tremendous!! I would've given them five stars but for poor communication and requiring multiple days off of work due to that poor communication.

I've had 2 experiences with them. First an AC unit. They recommended expensive parts since the AC was old. It's not old. Or replace the entire thing for thousands of dollars. I ended up getting this done for $500 and has worked fine since. It's a fairly new AC and had trouble buying their BS.
2nd time they were out; they called me for a free water heater flush. Brand new water heater and I had forgotten about these people.....until they showed up. First thing, I said the water heater is over there and they said well, we want to do an inspection on your plumbing. (It's the old auto spill with you get a free checkup so they can find issues).
I let them in, now I knew what was going to happen. 2 toilet repairs and the quote was $1288 if I used new parts. BUT they always suggest total replacement, which is what they did the AC. Total replacement for 2 toilets was $1582. I got all this done for under $300.
I don't know if these guys are on commission or independent contractors with Dial One Sonshine but the BS and OUTRAGEOUS quotes. People, people.... PLEASE get more than one quote.

Osvaldo and Joel came out for an AC maintenance. They explained they found a problem that could have caused a lot of damage if not repaired. I appreciate their thoroughness in the inspection. Matt and Chris came out the following week for the repairs. I have confidence they did a fine job and assured me I can call if I have any problems. I've had Dial One Sonshine do a lot of work on my condo and I've been very pleased. Thank you Osvaldo, Joel, Matt and Chris for a fine job.

The Dial One Sonshine technician charged me $375.95 for a 45MF Running Capacitor as the test shows 41MF which is lower than the +/- 5% rating. I was given the impression that it may fail soon anytime if I don't replace it. and so I agreed to have it replaced. I later checked the market price of the capacitor and found that it is less than $20. The price given by the technician is just the part cost as the cost of labor is covered by the service call.
I called their office for there could be an error. I was given a run around answer.
I then called the owner who told me in short that that was the cost of busines. $20 cost of part would go up to $375!!! wow!!
i don't know, I think I got scammed.
Watch out guys when you call these outfit. You'll be offered a discount but somehow they'll kill you somewhere.
I researched the HVAC situation thoroughly since I needed to replace a 1985 furnace and install an AC for the first time. Got 4 quotes ranging from $6000 to well over $12,000 for comparable systems. Johnno from Dial One Sonshine came out and gave me a thorough and fair quote of $9000 and explained everything, including the importance of matching the size of the system to the existing ducting since the completed HVAC would need to pass the required HERS test. No other company quoting me even mentioned that issue. Bottom line is the install was done quickly and efficiently, the crew was on time, friendly and courteous and the system works great. What really impressed me in the follow-up that Johnno provided to make sure the city inspector had done his job to inspect and sign off on the job. Getting the city to finally come out was the hardest part of the entire job but all was signed off and I'm good to go. As far as I'm concerned, any bad reviews you see for Dial One Sonshine are not at all accurate because they rate a 5 star in my experience.
Made an appointment 5 days in advance . Confirmed my appointment yesterday. Called at 2:30 today as they were supposed to be at my daughters condo at 3:00 pm. They stated appointment was for tomorrow! I said no way confirmed the appointment twice completely unreliable , irresponsible and they are liars ! Do not schedule with this company ! Horrible customer service.
A huge thank you to Rick, Will, Marisio and Vaugh. I hope I spelled everyone's name correctly. But this team did an incredible job replacing our AC system. They were informative of what steps were taking place and were quick and efficient. I also want to say thank you to Manny who was also helpful in the beginning of the process:) I highly recommend anyone is interested in getting their AC sorted to use them!
This company over charges do not use them. They like to scam you. They charged us $900 to fix a toilet. Big projects they will charge you $$$$ Stay way from them.
Super shady company. Tried to scam my 92 year old grandma. Overpriced, tries to sell things unnecessarily, pretends you've had service with them and are overdue. Went around me, Gmas care taker and contacted gma after i told them I'm uninterested. If it weren't for me, my grandma would have spent over 500 on unneeded services.
EDIT: this was over a year ago and I addressed it with the manager at the time. I was hung up on and then manager proceeded to call grandmas house phone after hanging up.
Also, purpose for leaving this review now is because I received mail with a deal for service. The ad itself was scammy just like this company
