Steve came out to check my ac unit that was making a weird noise earlier in the week.  The blower stopped working and Steve told us the motor was broke/frozen, said we needed a new blower mower for $800+.  He was rude, talked super fast and then left. He was in and out of my home in 10 minutes.  My husband figured he had nothing to loose and tinkered a bit with the fan, and low and behold... it started working again! (and we have no mechanical skills what so ever!)  Still making a weird sound every now and then, but we have someone else coming out to check on that.  We used County Wide years ago and were happy with them but now, never again! Can't trust them.

A C and Furnace Repair
During the massive heat wave on Thursday around noon we turned our a c unit on and realized it wasn't working so we contacted 7 companies and finally called our neighbor friends who recommended this company. We left a voicemail and the owner immediately returned our call. Said he had his best technician working in our area and he would be in touch once he finished the job. At 3 pm a phenomenal young man, Brandon Nelson came looked at our units and advised us both needed replacing we had them 23 yrs. He talked about furnaces being available but a c unit not so easy,  due to supply chain issues. He was thorough, a true professional and was here Saturday at 9 am sharp. He did an amazing job with our 47 yr old home and replaced the floor, insulated the closet and we have a two story and completed all the work superbly. He then proceeded to the side yard to begin the A C repair.which he finished to perfection.
The bundle package was simply a great deal and the workmanship amazing! I highly recommend this company, the professionalism, and the laying down of tarps to protect our entryway and home! Thank you Brandon for your outstanding service!

Right off the back the man shows up and throws his cigarette out of his truck, while it was still lit. So disgusting. His name is James and he wasn't professional at all, his pants were barley on him, they were really baggy. He was fixing my shower head and was grunting and said some words. He then came back out and said he might have to charge me more because he couldn't get it off, when he already have me paper work to sign for the amount he was going to charge. He was wearing the Beats by Dre head phones the whole time so I couldn't ask questions and I'm just overall dissatisfied. I would not recommend his service to anyone.

From start to finish this was by far the best experience I have had with any contractor I have ever dealt with. The installer comes to your home, not a salesman, so he knew exactly what was needed and there were no hidden charges or 'unexpected complications.  I dealt with the owner of the company along with the installer and they are indeed fine gentlemen with impeccable manners and afforded me all courtesies. The owner even gave me his personal cell phone number and the communication was superb. Start to finish the whole process took 5 days. They were neat and tidy and my upstairs is so nice and cool and the new unit only runs half of the time the old one did. I will use County Wide for all my heating, plumbing, and air conditioning needs from now on.

I have had this company out to our house twice now and both times they have send a man out that was inexperienced. He quoted us a very high price and could not find the problem last time I had a water heater go out and he quoted $2200 for replacement. Got a second opinion from the gas company in all it was was an $18 part which they replaced and only charge me $125.
I don't suggest for anyone to use this company as they are very untruthful about their diagnosis of your problems. They charge high prices and require a deposit. They charged me $25 for the incorrect diagnosis of my water heater problem. I will never call them again

I am extremely pleased with County Wide Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning's work installing air conditioning in our home last week.  The work was completed to perfection, despite a number of significant flaws with my home's old HVAC system and ancient faulty electrical infrastructure.  The two technicians worked tirelessly to make sure every aspect of the work they completed was flawless.  They were working at top speed the entire time they were here.  They were very respectful to me and my home while on the job and left all work areas clean and neat, removing all debris.  They even put a drop cloth under their truck to protect my driveway.

Their expert attention to detail in properly configuring and leveling the new equipment, sealing all openings, thoroughly securing connections and double checking everything for efficiency and quality was beyond impressive. They showed me problem areas they encountered and carefully explained everything they recommended, presenting options when appropriate.  It is apparent that this company takes pride in proper and high quality installation and service.  I enthusiastically recommend County Wide Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning for HVAC installation!

I have been a long time - 20+ years customer. Absolutely love their employees. Knowledgeable, nice, and know their stuff. Unfortunately the company appears in the last couple of years to be engaging in price-gouging. Both my 2 recent visits cost me SO much I was shocked. Charged me over $300 to replace a $13 part in less than an hour. Figure that out for yourselves. So will have to scout around for a new provider as with an old house, always need help, even for and avid DYIer.

This is my second yelp for County Wide Plumbing and Heating. They say things happen in threes and I really hope there isn't a third. I had a very leaky ,actually flowing water problem with again, an  ancient tub faucet. I called Rick again and he was able to schedule me the next day for repair. I met Eli, a very personable guy who went right to work. The valve was stubborn and Eli had to muscle it without breaking it. He worked quickly and very neatly and replaced the part  in no time The knob glides smoothly and water pressure has inproved. Again, County Wide to my rescue.
I would also like to say Rick takes great pride of ownership and he will work with you to make sure you  understand  everything from billing to repair. He is truely one of the few who puts his customers first and makes sure they are one hundred percent satisfied. Thank you all at County Wide for another great experience.

5 stars, for absolutely great service. Nick made fixing the kitchen sink on one of our properties look easy, he was like a surgeon. Rick was equally pleasant on the phone - and I particularly appreciate his genuineness in how he described their approach to carrying out their mission. I had unknown issues with my A/C for over a year, but never called because I was afraid of getting taken advantage of. I spotted one of their trucks on Lake Forest and took down their phone number on a hunch.
I finally called a week later, just before noon, got an appointment that same day between 1:30 and 3:30 that afternoon.
Nick showed up around 2:00, quickly diagnosed the problem, informed me of the alternatives, and fixed the problem right away at a great price. He was friendly, professional, and thorough.
I'm definitely keeping their card for future problems. Thank you Nick, and thanks Country-Wide! -Robert W.

This was the place that I called when my hot water heater went out the last time, so I figured I'd call them again. Well, that was 12 years ago and for the exact same job it was way more this time because come to find out the first guy didn't create a emergency drain through the wall properly which was illegal, so they created one this time. Woops.

And then come to find out the next time I wanted to use my garden hose in the backyard, they used it to drain my old water heater and then removed the gasket between the watering wand and the hose. When they screwed the wand back onto the end of the hose, it was so tight I couldn't remove it, the damn thing leaked and was spraying all over the place. I had to throw away the hose and the wand and buy new ones. I was so pissed off!

Payment is either by check or they will take your credit card, but only if you are available to sign the charge slip. They absolutely will not accept your credit card as payment over the phone like other places.

Just a little on the high side but the plumber new his job and was professional. He cleared a clogged bathtub drain in my condo.

Rick was pleasant on the phone and setting an appointment was simple.
He communicated  regarding when he would show up with a call that he was on the way.  Nick arrived on time and was clean, friendly and very professional.  We needed some hose bibs replaced in our laundry closet in a kind of tight space.  He looked and saw that we actually needed to replace some of the pipe in order to make sure we would have no leaks in the future.  He was quick, and cleaned up the mess from under the washer.  He was friendly so it made it a very good experience from start to finish.  I highly recommend County Wide for any plumbing or HVAC needs.  I will definitely be using them in the future.

I've used County Wide Plumbing in the past and they were ok.  This time we called them out for a stopped shower drain.  Nick could not get it -- blamed the Y in the pipe because the snake kept going up the air vent, not down to the clog - he claimed.  Said person who remodeled 8 yrs. ago did it wrong (though they did NOT change the pipes when remodeled!)   Said next step was to tear into the wall to get to the pipe, but recommended using Liquid Plumber first.  Charged $169.95 for his hour of trying, less the 20% discount since we had a coupon.  We then called Jim at Plumbers Rooter Co. who I had intended for my husband to call first -- he came out and had the drain clear in FIVE MINUTES!  He called County Wide and explained the situation and exactly what he did, what snake he used, and they refused any refund or discount.  When I called and told them to take my address off their mailing list because I would not use them again, they said That's not very nice and that the other plumber just got lucky.  Well even if he was just lucky -- I'll take my chances with the lucky plumber and not waste money on the other guy!

What a scam company.
$200 to fix a clogged sink? The plumber said nothing was wrong with it and still charged us $200.

Our kitchen sink developed a leak and our neighbors (The Suzukis) recommended County Wide.  Said we should ask for Nick.
We did and couldn't be happier.  Nick immediately spotted the problem and had the part needed to fix it quickly. He also came in under the quoted estimate.
Doesn't get any better than that!

We used County Wide to repair a drain pipe, sink leak and install a water line. Excellent work. Very professional and great prices. The technicians are also very professional and care about their work. Awesome job!

If I could give these guys a lower rating I would. I had a gas line leak on the south side of my house. The Gas Company shut my gas off. I called Country Wide to come out and repair the leak. Their plumber had me sign a contract before any work could be done. The Country Wide plumber left and said he would be back the next day.

The next day the Country Wide plumber broke opened the concrete around the leak and found the problem. He said he could only fix the line by running pipe over the top of my house. I said why don't you simply remove the broken line and splice in a new pipe. He said he already had all the materials on his truck and he would, instead, run new pipe across my roof in order to connect the new gas line to my on demand water heater located on the north side of the house. If I refused Country Wide would put a lien on my house.

Reluctantly I gave the Country Wide plumber and his assistant the OK to do the job...I had no alternative. The Country Wide plumber and his assistant finished the job in about three hours. He then handed a bill for $5500! By all means, stay away from these guys.

Been reading reviews on County Wide. They are mixed like many other establishments. Remember, every business has it's problems but how the customer is treated is what we always remember.
I recently had them install an American Standard gas heater in my rental home. From the beginning, speaking with Rick whom I believe to be the owner I felt comfortable and his price was better than most. Installation was half a day as expected which meant my tenants had minimal disruption. They were careful and cleaned as they worked. Later that day when the daughter came home from work she thought she smelled gas and called the gas company. They red tagged the system and shut of the gas. The next day James the installer was out there bright and early. I met with him as he diligently tested all possibilities for a leak. None were found. Neither of us could smell any gas. I called the gas company and spoke with a supervisor who sent out another technician. We arranged a time where both myself, the installer and the gas man would all look it over together. Almost two hours were spent by both men collaborating and working well together. Oddly, they could not smell gas but proceeded to test all the components involved with this heater installation as well as factory components. Rick even called the American Standard Co. to see if there were any service bulletins on any problems. None. In the end, the gas company removed the Red Tag, told the tenant the heater is safe to operate and we all went home. County Wide took full control were timely and fallowed the problem to the end. Exceeded expectations and very happy with service. Brandon was very professional and knowledgeable. Arrived early, had problem diagnosed in 5 minutes. Would recommend highly to anyone needing A/C service.

We called County Wide on Wednesday and had our new furnace  by lunchtime on Friday. Their expert/installer, Brandon, was personable and very knowledgeable about the heater and the installation. Best for us, he also knows about performance and made some critical improvements to the ducts and vents to balance airflow and ensure our whole house is warm. He even moved the thermostat closer to the return for a more accurate temperature reading.

Our house has never been this comfortable! We are very pleased and highly recommend County Wide for their responsiveness, friendliness, expertise and value pricing. Thank you, Brandon and the rest of the County Wide team.

My experience with County Wide was great from start to finish. Rick was very helpful over the phone, very informative and was able to send someone out right away. Nick came out to look at my broken A/C unit, gave me a more thorough quote than the other 2 bids I received and was then able to replace my A/C the very next day. Good price, very helpful and reliable!

NEVER, NEVER use Country Wide Plumbing Heating and Air.  We used them and they are total RIP OFF's.  They replaced a drain pipe under our bathroom sink and cleaned out the drain.  The also replaced a garbage disposal.  They charged us the exorbitant amount of $999 plus!!  I couldn't believe it.  I should have checked on Yelp before we called them.

Great service from start to finish.  Our water heater died and they came out the next day and had it replaced super quick and very well priced.  Our technician Nick was super helpful and even fixed an additional plumbing issue while he was out here.  Now all our heating/AC/water heater stuff is all done through County Wide and I couldn't be happier

We have been using this company for over 10 years.  The same man answers the phone and the service is excellent.  We found out our air conditioning broke after we got home from work and gave them a call.  Within two hours  the air was fixed at a very reasonable price. No extra charge for coming in the evening and we didn't have to miss work.  Thank you County Wide, we will continue to call you first when we need our air conditioning fixed!

I called County Wide Plumbing of Orange, CA when I had a problem with the shower on my rental property in Buena Park on August 19, 2014.  The diverter in the shower is not operating properly.  When the plumber from County Wide Plumbing,  arrived he immediately diagnosed the problem and recommended a solution.  He said that not only that the diverter has to be replaced but also both controls for the hot water and cold water has to be replaced.  He completed the repair in approximately 45 minutes or less than 1 hour.  I was charged $431.40 for less than 1 hour work.  Outrageously expensive for less than 1 hour work !!
I checked with Lowes Home Improvement for the price of the similar plumbing kit that was installed by the plumber.  The Lowe's price for the kit is $59.99.  I also understand that contractor's also get a discount.  Subtracting $59.99 from 431.40 equals $371.40.
Which means that the County Wide Plumbing labor cost for 1 hour is at the exorbitant rate of $371.40 !!!

Although the estimate of $431.40 was disclosed prior to the repair, I think this is only an estimate and the actual cost should be adjusted according to the hours spent doing the repairs.

Called County Wide this morning when I discovered I had no hot water. They sent Nick out 45 minutes later. He replaced my Hot Water tank within 3 hours solving my problem. He was very knowledgable and courteous and highly recommend this company.

We have been customers for 20+ years.  However, the later years, in the last few years, their quality of service and recommendations went down.

Our old water heater leaked  in Dec 2016.  It was old and needed to be replace. We called them to replace it.  The guy that helped us was so snotty.  I wanted a tankless water heater but he said that it will be expensive because I have to replace the parts every few years.  So after some convincing, we agreed to NOT to do tankless water heater.  He chose the water heater brand, Rheem, and said that is the best brand blah blah blah.....  He installed it.  That costs us almost $4000.  I thought they high-priced us.  Really $4000?    Unfortunately, we did not compare prices with other company because we trusted this company.

Well time passed, that water heater that he said will last a long time (for years he said) and the best brand leaked last week.  This is  April 2018, less than 2 YEARS!  So we called them again.  The same guy came and he was hard to deal with.  Complaining a lot about the position of our water heater which is in the corner (that is why I wanted a tankless, MORON!).  We were able to return the heater tank without extra cost to buy the new water heater.  However, the labor to replace is is $2000.  If we have gotten the tankless water heater in the first pace, we would not have paid so much money that the guy said we will spend so much money if we have gotten the tankless one.  My brother got the tankless water heater 2 years ago and he have not spent so much money like we have in the last 2 years.

I do not trust this company anymore.  Will call someone else the next time we have a plumbing problem.   They just lost 1 customer.

I highly recommend this company, and their technician Ed. I had a plumbing emergency. My backyard hose bib broke and my husband was out of town. Water was gushing everywhere and I made an emergency call to them. They were here right away. They replaced it and sodered it. Their technician Ed was very efficient, knowledgeable, and pleasant. I will definately call them again.

This is my first time reviewing a business but, I am compelled to warn the public.  This company is a RIP OFF!  Their $24.95 service charge is a gimmick to get into your home.
Our appointment was for this morning between 8 and 10 am.  At 9:45 we received a call that our repairman would be 30 - 60 minutes late.  Okay, not a big deal.  Nick came to our home to replace a shower handle and a tub spout diverter.  He did not have the parts with him and left for about an hour.  What professional doesn't have tools needed to do the job???  I think he went to lunch on our dime. Total time from initial contact until completion was less than 2 hours.  TOTAL charge was $675 and this was supposed to include the 20% discount because we were previous customers.  We asked him to replace another tub spout diverter and were willing to pay the retail price for the part but, he would not do it without charging an additional labor charge.  He had already gotten several hundredths of dollars for the brief time he was actually at our home!!!
WE WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN unless they are the LAST COMPANY in O.C.
SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY and CALL SOMEONE WHO IS HONEST and FAIR!!!!

My Ac was making noises and I noticed some leaks coming from it. I called County wide at 8am and within 30 minutes Nick from County Wide shows up.First I must say he was friendly,courteous and knew exactly what he was doing. My husband and I had Nick install a complete HVAC System. We've had Nick come back a few times since then to fix minor leaks here and there around the house. I will definitely refer County Wide to my Friends and Family

We have used Country Wide for a number of years and have always had excellent service at a very reasonable price. We have rental units and they are the one company we can trust to provide service.

They just completed an install of a new AC unit at our house that is working perfectly and just in time for the heat wave :)
