Established in 1999.
At Tiger Plumbing, Heating & Air our priority is customer service. We've built our business on happy customer referrals not high cost mass marketing and overpriced yellow page ads. That means we can deliver personalized service at a reasonable price. As the owner of the company I personally see to it that every customer is treated fairly and honestly. If there is ever an issue you can ask for me by name, Dustin Mix. Most companies won't even give out the owners name let alone let you talk to them. I invite your phone calls and comments as we are always striving to improve our overall service and keep pace with technology and these economic times!

They are life savers!! Amazing amazing!!

I called Centerpoint energy and another highly recommended company and both told me that my Lennox AC unit was irreparable and I would need to buy a new one. so I called Tiger to get a quote on a completely new system. At this point I was without AC for over a week in 80+degree weather. Dustin came out to my home, he took a closer look and instead of selling us a new unit he was able to actually fix my unit and having it up and running in less than a few hours! I could not believe it!!

Needless to say I will only be using Tiger going forth! Dustin was able to fix a problem that no other company was able to fix in the 3 years we have lived here.

Thank you guys! I would give you ten stars if it was an option.

Waited around all day to receive neglectful service from this company, whose employee could not identify leaks in system when specifically requested, so their 580$ fill up leaked out again in 2-3 weeks.  Posted bad reviews instead of contacting the company because we had been told by the technician who could not find any leaks and the receipt that there was no guarantee on how long the fill would last.  Was contacted and told that we would be sent a check the same day in the mail for changing our reviews.  Nearly two weeks after doing so and emailing repeatedly we received no check as agreed upon.  Good luck not wasting your money and your time with Tiger.  We recommend seeking service elsewhere.

It's been a while since tiger plumbing came out to our house. But their name popped up on next door so I thought I would take a look and see what other people's experiences were. I have to agree with the ratings, they're nice enough people and they came out in a timely manner but their service is hit or miss.
Whatever you do, for sure get a second opinion.

I hope this review does not harm this company because I believe the owner is a nice guy and means well. He did a great job on my Flying Cloud Hanger, but a horrible job on my home in Eden Prairie. Unfortunately his choice of personnel (Brian) was not a good selection.  I have paid this company thousands of dollars.  Some was worth it and a good chunk was not.  All the result of the owners personnel choices.

My electric water heater stopped heating water. They changed me 99.00 just to come to my door. All they did was look to see if there were any water leaks and turned the breaker off. Then they wanted another 239.00 dollars just to troubleshoot so 339.00 just to find the issue. Then they would charge me for parts and labor. They then proceeded to try to sell me a new water heater and told me that they would charge me over 3300.00 for a new 80 gal tank. I did my own troubleshooting. the water heater just had a bad fuse. The fuse was 25.00. This company tried to pray on me in my time of need. I have a baby and can not be without hot water. I will never be contacting this company again. Please stay away.

The most unprofessional  and unpleasant business I have ever worked with.
They have workers who have no idea what they are doing but will charge you anyway.
The owner only cares about money and not about customer satisfaction. They will lie to cover their poor performance. BEWARE.
We had a terrible experience with this company.
1. They were 6 hours late
2. We were charged a late fee, when they said they would be there on time
3. They told us they couldn't find a leak in our AC even though they have admitted to us (we have email evidence) there was one.
4. They said they would refund us immediately if we changed our review (we updated our reviews with our agreement and raised our rating of them), but they didn't. Eventually through Facebook we found out they changed their mind on our refund due to our slanderous reviews. I guess they don't want everyone to know the quality of their business. A respectable business owns up to their mistake. We called a different company (McQuillan bros) who said these leaks were obvious and were able to point out many more details than the technician from this company.

Also, in response to Dustin, why would we call back a company that didn't do the job correctly? We wanted it to be actually fixed and not just wait for someone who didn't know what he was doing to fix it again.

I would like to give a better review because Dawn at the front desk is so friendly and the 2 plumbers who came out were very polite. BUT.... the bathtub shower plumbing was not aligned straight. And just to be safe we asked them to stop by to give us a heads up before we added our tile but they brushed us off and said everything was fine and just call them back after we were done tiling. When they came out to put on the trim pieces for the shower valve and faucet they said the the valve pieces were inset too far in and we had to rip our tile out! WELL WE HAD SPENT HOURS PLACING 2 x 4 ft tile in place and decorative pencil tile vertically.  They ended up ripping out the back adjoining wall which happened to be the shower in our master bath and found the installer who put in the backer board    (another nightmare) attached the copper pipes to the back wall which pulled the plumbing in so not their fault BUT WE FOUND THE ELBOW VALVE WAS LEAKING WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN THEIR FAULT AND THEY FIXED.  Now the tub spout leaks continually and they will not come out without charging $159 device charge .... We are very disappointed in them not taking the time in the first place to come out and inspect when we asked and then to recharge us for the leaking tub spout.  I feel they are too much in a hurry and not really geared to homeowners who do some work themselves like ordering Moen parts etc for the plumbing job.  They are not fixing our adjoining torn out shower wall either. I just feel they hurry for the money and don't take a few extra minutes to make sure everything is in check. Nice people but a lot of money on our end and we could have used a plumber maybe a bit older and wiser who had come out before the backer board was installed and gave us the right measurements that the pipes were supposed to be inset that would have put us on alert when the backer board guy screwed up.

When we arrived home after three months from CA, our water shut off valve was stuck shut. Dustin from Tiger Plumbing was able to come to our home and fix the issue. This is a very stressful time for everyone, and he was very kind. He also checked the water softener and there was a lot of sludge and no salt. He cleaned it out and then went to Home Depot for us (really above and beyond!) to get salt and brought it back that evening. I really appreciated his caring nature (when I was obviously stressed from just driving across country during the pandemic!). We have had Tiger do other plumbing jobs for us and they are great... and nice people! I would highly recommend.

We had a great experience with Tiger Plumbing.  I discovered water coming through my dining room ceiling from my bathroom.  We called Tiger Plumbing and Brett...who was awesome...arrived within the hour.  He did a great job and was extremely helpful.

Very poor communication and customer service. Scheduled a time for them to come to check on a furnace not working. They scheduled for a time 11-1 with 30 min. Calling prior to coming.. At 12:20, received a call that the service person was traveling from Southern Illinois and it would be between 2-3:30. Received a voicemail call about 10 min. later that said call at my earliest convenience with no other info. Since I didn't see the voicemail and respond to their call, they cancelled the appt totally ...however... NO notice or call back was made to notify me. Only after sitting waiting for them to come ( in a 39 degree home) did I call and they indicated they cancelled. The receptionist said there was supposed to be a preset charge made and since I hadn't paid ( this requirement was Not mentioned when I set up the appt.) they cancelled. Wasted 4 hours of my time. Totally ridiculous.

I could not be more appreciative for Tiger - its been super cold and our kitchen drain had froze and started backing up. Although many companies were super busy and unable to help, the owner Dustin added me onto his schedule and was able to come the same day I called. He was kind, friendly, explained things in a way that I could understand, and he not only un-froze my drain, but also was able to figure out exactly the spot in my home that was causing the problem (the frozen drain had happened last winter too, and the company I worked with then brought a big, expensive machine to unfreeze the pipes, but had nothing along the lines of suggestions for a more permanant fix).

A little over 18 months ago, my water heater went out and I needed to purchase a new one. I did some research and was sold on buying a tankless water heater. I called around and had several companies come out to provide me bids. Talking with Tiger Plumping and Heating, they provided me the best pricing and availability for installation. The installation went very well and the technicians were very professional. During the year, when the water heater would go into alarm mode and I had technical questions regarding the reset of the system, the technician was always available to answer my questions. This past winter, I started doing some research on the yearly maintenance and flush of the tankless water heater and didn't get any direct answers. Every company I called wanted to charge me just to ask questions regarding the maintenance and flush of the tankless water heater. I did call Tiger Plumbing, Heating and Air and they returned my call.  They signed me up on the VIP maintenance plan and we scheduled a technician to come out to complete the yearly maintenance and flush of the water tank. On Feb. 15, 2022, The technicians arrived and this is when everything went off the rails. The lead technician looked at the tankless water heater and told me they can't do a flush on the water tank because a shutoff valve wasn't installed.  So we couldn't do the flush. I also wanted to replace the thermostat to a wifi thermostat and was told a transformer within the water tank would need to be upgrade due to not having a C-wire. When I went upstairs to get the new thermostat and returned to the basement, I observed a technician coming out of my theater room. After the technicians left, I talked with my wife about the situation and we decided to call the manager at Tiger Plumping to voice our concern. The owners wife called me back and discuss the situation. I received a call back from the lead technician and he explained why they were in the room. I was comfortable with his explanation and everything was resolved. That was on Feb. 17. I waited until Feb. 28th and called Tiger Plumbing to ask why I having received a call back regarding the status of valve. I was told the technician would call me back. The technician never called me back. On March 1st, I called Tiger Plumbing back again and was told the managers were all in a meeting. I requested that the manager call me back the next day and still didn't receive a return call. Now I need to look at hiring another plumbing company to install a valve so I'm able to flush my tankless water heater.

The guys took good care of us.  We have a 20+ year old boiler that we wanted to have checked out.  The company which installed it has since changed hands; their tech said without even looking at it, that if it was that old it probably needed to be replaced. Well! With that attitude I tried someone else. My nephew who has his own heating and air business (not plumbing tho) recommended Tiger. They came and checked it out and the tech seemed genuinely relieved (he said he was very happy) that it only needed a new expansion tank, which we already suspected. It has been a week now since they came back and replaced that and the boiler has been running just fine and we've had to have the heat on because the weather turned cold early so I am glad.  I'll use them again.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!  My tenants called Tiger because of a frozen pipe in the garage.  Dustin showed up and shut off the water to the pipes in the garage and noticed a pinhole leak in the main line by the water meter.  He replaced 2' of pipe with a new valve (not needed) and he charged $1200 for the visit.  This did not include the repair to the original frozen pipe.  He stated that he would need to come back and give a separate estimate for this repair.  The tenants informed him that I was the owner and gave my phone number.  I was not called until the repair was completed.  When I called the office I was told that $600 of the cost was for future repairs and I could be refunded this amount.  Dustin refused to send me the itemized bill and I had to request a copy from my tenant.  This bill was sent almost 3 weeks later (no receipt at time of repair).  When I did receive the itemized bill, the future repairs were only $385 of which my tenants received  a refund check.  Dustin told me that the repair he did perform was only temporary.  He did not have a brass union and charged the fee of $385 to re-repair the leak.  Overall, he charged $800 for a repair that should be $200-$400 based on local averages for this type of repair.  This man and his small company have a history of overcharging for repairs (see other reviews).  I have instructed them that they will not be welcome in my house in the future and my tenants will not be calling them either.

These guys certainly know what they are doing - without a doubt. I was happy with the analysis, and the work that was performed. I think my problem is fixed. The issue I have: I was overcharged. I paid $495 to have a capacitor installed ($10 at Home Depot), and a heat sensor installed (another $10 at Home Depot). I understand they had to run some tests, etc., and that a person has to make a living, but what I paid for these materials and services was extremely steep for an analysis and 2-1/2 hours of work (we can debate whether the job needed to take 2-1/2 hours). Even still, $235 an hour after subtracting $20 for parts and a simple installation is borderline ridiculous. Will I call them again? No. I will, however, do my homework before hiring anyone to do work at my home. Lesson learned: Don't trust anyone. Even nice people hired for repair work.  It's the world we live in...

Two stars: only because they knew what they were doing and were able to come to my house, same day. Otherwise, I'm disappointed.

Update: I see Tiger issued a response to my post.  Tiger seems to suggest premium parts were used, therefore, the cost is reasonable.  Really?  Come on, we are talking about $10 parts!  A condnser is a condenser is a condenser, and a sensor is a sensor is a sensor.  I'm thinking the public is much more savvy and can spot a fluff response from a service provider a mile away.

The only thing that came at a premium was the bill!  Bottom line: Tiger is good, but charges way too much . . .

We called Tiger in when our furnace was not working. While they came out at 10 at night, he originally quoted us a $60 ($199 total) surcharge for after hours, and once he looked at the part that was needed, he quoted us $120 for the part.  Then the service tech went out to his truck to see if he had the part. Good news was he came back in and said he had the part- but the BAd news was- that apparently he  had misquoted us and the price for the part was $330- not $120.  We looked it up on line and could get it at walmart for $15. When we asked the tech about that he said that that was the competitive price they could offer for after hours work. We reminded him that he was already charging us a $60 surcharge for after hours. He didn't let down- said that he didn't set the prices. He said he was sorry. Said it was competitive. We paid him the $199 service fee and sent him on his way.
RIDICULOUS!   RIDICULOUS!

It has been over one month since first visit and nothing has even been done. I had someone sick understandable but waited the next week, finally had someone come out on a Monday/Tuesday.

I was told the owner would be coming that Friday and no show, no call. I believe someone was sick again in this case or went overtime with a last job. I had to call them the following Monday to schedule an appointment again scheduled it and again no show. called them right before closing spoke to Anna, was extremely apologetic and very nice apparently my appointment was cancelled and no one called me.

I was very disappointed and extremely upset over this. I'm getting my refund for charges from services check out my AC/Heat. Staff was extremely friendly but at the end of the day just doesn't cut it when you need work done.

I suggest more training for staff on making sure to call all clients and communication with all associates on what's going on for daily scheduling.

I would have rather had someone call me twice in a day then not at all. I wish all friendly employees matched the service. I have to rate a one only because nothing was done, no effort until the very end when I couldn't take the stress of this anymore.

Called for service on A/C unit on hottest day of the year. $59 for service call. $185 for diagnostics. $395 to remove and replace a simple capacitor. I told them to leave as that was outrageous. I found a Capacitor on Amazon ($5.95) watched a YouTube video and did it myself in less that 15 minutes. I need to replace my A/C and furnace because of age soon, but Tiger lost a sale and customer for life.

we are very upset with our overall Tiger plumbing experience as customers. We have been loyal customers since moving to bloomington and have spent so much money with you guys around $10,000. We just had a water heater replaced by you guys in the last year and a half and when it broke last week we were disappointed. We had a week old baby and a toddler in a house with no hot water for over a week and the fix in that week was to put it on extra hot which is very dangerous.  I understand that's a manufacturing issue but to then be charged $500 plus $180 for initial call was crazy! I know we can get a brand new water heater for less!!!!!

We were never quoted a price before this and feel that is very very expensive. We knew tiger is on the higher end price wise for things but continued to be loyal customers. If we knew this fix in a new machine would be $700 I would have gotten other quotes from other companies. Unfortunately after this we will not be customers again.

New to MN from CA, didn't know to winterize our pipes when moving into our new home, and unfortunately a pipe burst . Called Tiger, and they sent Sam and Justin the next morning. They quickly diagnosed the problem,  got to work, replaced the pipe,  and educated us on how to winterize pipes for next season in our home. Our go to plumbers for future plumbing needs- thanks guys!
