Fast response and fair price  gave me an estimated price based on job description I gave them and it was accurate at the end of job.

Called these guys to get a quote on new sink, disposal and plumbing install. Was able to work with them on a price within my budget and they were able to come out sooner than other folks I had called. Abraham was great to work with, positive attitude and answered all my questions. He did good work, but we did have to ask him to test the disposal before he left, only to find out it had been damaged and needed replacing. No big deal, was an easy reorder and swap for us, but he was great in letting us know the next steps. Also after he left, we found the new plumbing joints hadn't been tightened down all the way and we had major leakage until we hand tightened it down further. Overall, good work and would hire again if needed.

Tried calling this service multiple times after having done business with them previously, no response. Not even to call back and say I am sorry, we cannot fit you in our schedule. Terrible responsiveness after such a responsive attitude before. Maybe if you can actually get a hold of them...
Customer service though is really half of any business. I am sorry that this is no longer the case. See other reviews that say similar.

The city water utility let me know that I needed to install a check valve on my water main due to pressure fluctuations increasing the risk of backflow ...so I called a few plumbers.  Bruce from Aptos Plumbing came out and was very informative about the possible causes of the fluctuations and my install options.  He completed the check valve install within an hour and at half the cost of one of the other quotes!  In the same time Bruce also helped determine if an unused circulating pump was working properly, and he explained where and how to troubleshoot further if hot water wasn't making its way quickly to different parts of the house.  I will be calling these guys in the future if I need more plumbing work.  Bruce was experienced, honest, and very helpful.

This is the second major job with Aptos plumbing.

I called Bruce and he found out what my problem was and his team installed a new drain and Toto toilet.

Bruce is great at explaining things. He is very trustworthy. I had an earlier issue and Bruce came out of this way and checked my water pressure and readjusted it. I would wholeheartedly recommend Aptos Plumbing for your plumbing needs.

Hi-I have an update to the review posted below from a few weeks ago. After I posted it, Todd, one of the co-owners reached out to me. He said that my review was the first that he learned of the situation, and he offered to get Ariel to do the work. I appreciated his directness and Ariel came and finished the job. So I'm changing my review from 1 star to 3 stars. They still misdiagnosed my leak and I shouldn't have had to deal with all of the hassle to get the contract honored, but Todd came correct and I want to acknowledge that. Final note of constructive criticism: everyone needs to wear masks at all times when inside people's homes. I know many people who have gotten very sick from COVID and a couple who have died. This pandemic is no joke and we have to be 100% on point until we get this fully under control. Anyway, that's my update as of Sept. 18, 2020.

I've used a lot of contractors and services in Santa Cruz over the years and I've never had as bad an experience as I did recently with Aptos Plumbing. Without boring you with the details, here's the overview.

I had a leak from my upstairs shower that was coming into the room off the garage below. I hired them to come open up the ceiling downstairs, search for the leak, and fix it.

They came and opened the roof and then 2 guys sprayed water all over the floor up above and told me that water is coming out of the shower onto the bathroom floor and that's where the leak is. That was wrong.

I finally got a friend to figure out what the problem was--what I needed was to apply silicone to the perimeter of the shower and now everything is fine. Aptos Plumbing charged me $525 to cut the sheetrock and incorrectly diagnose the problem, but at least they were going to come back and fix the sheet rock. I figured all would be ok once that was done.

I called Bruce multiple times over the last month, and also texted him multiple times. At first he told me he didn't have the invoice saying that they would finish the sheet rock (how does a company lose an invoice from a couple months ago? You can see it attached below). But I had it and I texted it to him. After that, nothing but crickets.

So I'm done trying to get them to actually honor the contract in writing that they made with me. I have too much stress and other stuff to worry about. But I am reporting them to the County and warning you: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH Aptos Business. They ripped me off. If I had extra time on my hands, I'd take them to court for the work that I paid for that they refused to do.

Bruce came out and put a new water heater in at my rental. He was polite, quick and efficient.  I will deffinantly be using them again. I also spoke with Sabrina in the office, one of the best customer service experiences I've had. I also love that they are local and family owned.

The might be good if they ever show up for the job.
Called about a plugged kitchen drain Friday after Thanksgiving and were very glad to get an appointment between noon and 3pm same day. The plumber never came in the scheduled time.

Called them again and were told the plumber tried to call us. This is not true. My wife and I were both home all day and if for some unforeseen reason we missed his call our answering machine was on and  we have caller ID. The office said they would call us back if they needed to reschedule.

Never got the promised call back, so we have a plugged kitchen sink all weekend because they could not fulfill they commitment and bother to show up or call us back.

Bruce and his team are incredibly helpful and honest.

He also has deep expertise, esp in the area of tankless water heaters. He saved me hundreds of dollars in an unnecessary installation that other plumbers assessed. He really knows his stuff!

His approach to helping the customer with solutions the customer needs (not just a solution that makes money foe the business) is refreshing. I will call him again for future problems.

Called to have some gas line work done and Bruce came out. He explained everything that needed to be done and what needed to be corrected from previous work. He thoroughly explained the principles behind what needed to be done and why. I totally could see what he was talking about. His demeanor, attitude and knowledge shows he is a professional and that I wasn't just another appointment because he advocated for me. Aptos Plumbing is my go-to now. We are remodeling and definitely feel I have a friend on our team.

Horrible customer service. Reached out to get a quote and never head back from them. Reached out again about a month later and was provided with a very high quote. When I asked for only partial services to be completed they denied and said it was a waste of time for them and they weren't interested in working with us. Would not recommend this company at all.

I'd recommend finding a better plumber if you're reading this.

I've used Aptos Plumbing twice.  

The first experience was great.  Bruce quoted and Tony did the work.  I had a leaking bathtub and they diagnosed the situation and replaced the valve.  As is typical with plumbers they didn't fix the drywall (I did this myself).

The second experience was part of a major remodel which changed direction for no fault of Aptos Plumbing.  I'm currently waiting for a call back from Todd about getting a refund for payments I made ahead of completion of work.  I fully expect Aptos Plumbing will continue to be professional and will update this review if I have a different experience.

I had requested a quote and received a call a day later (most plumbers told me they were too busy)  We had unfortunately started working with another plumber to meet our accelerated timeline.  The estimate that was provided was inline with others and very pleasant.

We will consider them for future plumbing projects.

Super happy with the professional installation, knowledgeable personnel, responsiveness, and attention to detail. Bruce was very helpful and never rushed. Not the least expensive bid, but was the most comprehensive and explained. That's why I went with them. I had a new water heater and water softener installed and I'm excited to see how they perform. I will check back in after I see these two appliances in action. Thank you Aptos plumbing for being customer friendly. I recommend them.

We needed a new sink and garbage disposal put in ASAP. Bruce and his crew came in, replaced our sink and disposal no problem. Its amazing how it looks. The only part that required patience was making sure to let the caulk dry 24 hours after. Once that time passed game on. Sink is awesome. Disposal is church mouse quiet. (OK, I may be exaggerating some.) Quality job! Wife has stop complaining about the sink. Headache is gone. Hope she doesn't see this. I will be calling Aptos Plumbing for any future needs. Thanks!

These guys were quick to respond when a flooded toilet. They give you an honest update on your situation and advise best course of action.  They actually fit us in earlier then planned as they didn't get a delivery for another job on time. I appreciated them thinking of us. We ended up having them install 3 new toilets in our townhome. Also they helped us with a DIY faucet install that my husband was stuck on. They told us what part to buy so he could finish the job himself. Buy 3 toilets get free sink advice!

Todd and Bruce and the whole crew are great plumbers. Responsive and thorough.  I would recommend them anytime!

Bruce and his team were very responsive and ready to work. We had decreased hot water pressure throughout the house with our galvanized pipes. He suggested we replace a few connections and that should fix it, which it turned out not to solve the issue. He then suggested to replace all the old pipes under the house, which in fact solved the problem. Way more costly than anticipated, but it is what it is. Where my experience went south was when he called to tell me that one of the pipes going to the bathroom had broken in their repair and they would have to replace it in with new pipe. I OK'd the fix (not sure what caused the break), but did not discuss the repercussions of the repair. Instead of cutting a workable hole in the wall-paper (old and not easily replaced) and drywall that could be patched back, they left a hack-job hole and is going to cost close to $800 of repairs. (drywall and new wallpaper since the old one cant be patched). They cut a 6x12 hole and there was no consideration for the patch work, only to get their job done.

This is the second time I've used Aptos Plumbing and I couldn't be happier. Bruce is a pro that provided great pricing and hunted to the ends of the earth to get me what I wanted. I highly recommend this locally owned business.  

Being a woman I'm very aware of tradesmen that can be condescending or off putting. I really appreciate the honesty and respect shown by all of the employees at Aptos Plumbing.

This is the best Plumber in all SC. Honest, affordable, professional, accessible even on weekends! I've tried several outfits in our area, Todd is THE BEST ! Most plumbers try to rip ppl off, but not Aptos Plumbing. I was impressed, and will definitely call again if needed.

Real Estate Agents do not call Aptos Plumbing! They refuse to work with realtors. And I need the job done right away! Oh well they just lost out on $1100 of my business!

My garbage disposal started leaking and I was unable to fix it myself. Another business told me the garbage disposal would have to be replaced and quoted me a very high price to do so. Aptos Plumbing came out quickly, communicated professionally and clearly, and fixed the problem with a minor adjustment and extremely reasonable price tag. I will be using Aptos Plumbing for anything that comes up in the future!

I just had a hot water heater installed from Aptos Plumbing after my basement flooded when my old one died.  They worked me into their busy schedule to accommodate my emergency; the owner Bruce came out personally the same day to stanch the water flow and get it draining properly and explained the whole process to me.   His crew had the new one in the next day.  All at a very fair and reasonable price! Their customer service was courteous and professional as was their installation.  After a bad experience a few years back with one of their competitors, I am thrilled to find a plumbing service that I can trust.

After getting ghosted from a plumber I had worked with before I needed someone new and I needed them fast. I was pleased with the response I got from Todd, the detail of the bid and the follow up of the work.
It wasn't the most inexpensive job but I feel good about the whole experience.

We had a kitchen sink issue as the garbage disposal had stopped working.  Todd at Aptos Plumbing set up an appt for the next day. The guys showed up on time and immediately decided the disposal was jammed and set about fixing it. Unjammed the unit and we ran a few cups of ice through to clean out the gunk. All works perfectly now and we didn't have to buy a new disposal!

We were pleased with the promptness and quick diagnosis. Price was fair. Did not try to upsell us things we didn't need. Will definitely call them again if we have plumbing issues.

My kitchen sink faucet went from a tiny leak to a waterfall leaving me scrambling to pull the disorganized mess of cleaning products and stuff that shouldn't have ever been under there (don't judge me) out and shove a bucket that I hoped was lined up with the torrential flow of H2O. Now comes the fun part. Call the landlord, wait for a reply...can't get anybody there for like a week. Seriously?! Wait, it gets better. So when they finally send someone, it's a handyman with new boxed faucet under arm and none of the right tools. I spent the next two hours listening to some rather colorful explitives, and excuses as to why he couldn't seem to figure it out. Finally he concedes and after another volley of phone calls with the landlord, an actual plumber arives at my door a couple of hours later. I should be at least irritated, perhaps apoplectic, but I've grown accustomed to these drawn out repair jobs. So I greet the plumber with a casual hey come on in... . I have to say he was extremely professional and courteous. He explained to me why what the other guy did hadn't worked, showed me parts, even made sure I didn't accidentally toss out the clip-on- tool (which looks a bit like something you'd see on a guess what this is game show) conveniently clipped to a hose under the sink  which can apparently sometimes fall off (who knew?). He went on to replace the faucet lickety split, stayed long enough to make sure it wasn't leaking, cleaned up his mess (what?! They never do that), left me a business card in case there were any problems, and simply let me go back to my life with a now working kitchen faucet. Seriously, I cannot recommend this company strongly enough. If you're a renter, I may go as far as to ask you to demand that your landlord call this place. Just do it!

Bruce and team (Ariel & others), came out and installed a tankless water heater, whole house water softener, entire new set up of PEX to replace all our pipes under the house and removed our old water heater tank. It was a big job and they a fantastic job. Ariel was the lead on our job and he was great. Easy to work with and very good at their job. Bruce was great, you can tell he knows what he is doing and cares about doing the job the RIGHT way and having employees that know what they're doing. Sabrina the front desk is prompt at returning calls and getting urgent service if needed. I highly recommend this team, they are a small business but do an excellent job and only have high quality great staff that know how to do plumbing. We will work with them in the future for sure! Price was also reasonable, probably helped that we did everything at once.  PS: this project was installed 6 months ago (our previous system was causing all kinds of clogs weekly - so much money spent on drano over the years). Everything has been working beautifully! So happy we finally were able to do this project and that we found outstanding folks to do it.

Never showed up to our appointment and instead called an hour after. After some back and forth, concluded that my water heater needed replacement, which was based on no evidence of the unit needing anything more than descaling. Just went on to say that my relatively new unit was hard to work on and that I should pay them $4k to get a new one installed. Catch is that it's some brand that they work with and I'm assuming get a cut of all sales from. I searched the brand online and cannot find a single review or mention of this unit outside of the company's website.  I would not recommend working with this company because they are clearly just going for cash grabs and do not want to actually help out

Rapid response, rapid repair, friendly service, laid out our options and super honest. What else could you ask for??

I thought the bath tub was leaking and after the poor plumber came out in 5 seconds he reviewed it and showed me that there was in deed hot water coming out. The previous plumber didn't know what he was talking about. These guys are smart and knowledgable. Highly recommend.

I reached out to four plumbing companies to replace my water heater and just based on the quoting process alone, I will be moving forward with another company. Aptos Plumbing was quick to respond to my quote request, but after coming by to look at my water heater and setup, I received a call stating that it would cost between $3600 - $4600 (and this is for a mobile home!). Although the assessment was done a week ago, I didn't receive anything in writing and was told that the price is always the same and I shouldn't waste his time in wanting a paper quote. I explained I would need to get approval from the property management and would like to show the work that was to be done.

Aptos plumbing came to the rescue when we had a major septic issue / blockage. Bruce and his great crew of guys came in force and had all the right gear to isolate and repair.
Kept areas of work clean given they were digging major deep pits to find the issue, replaced my pavers ( and did a good job at it)
I added riser extensions (their suggestion) since I was deep into the project and am glad I did.
While I've seen posts about possible higher costs from Aptos, you get what pay for, I paid for urgent need, excellent service and got it.

Really great people, very personable and knowledgeable-- tried to save us money and didn't charge us for a little side thing I needed done. Showed up on time and was eager to explain what was wrong. Reasonably priced. Earned our business tenfold. Highly recommend this company.

Toilet leaking.  Just what you need during Covid.  No problems coming out, and easily replaced the toilet, without us having to go shopping for it.  Very happy, they were very professional.  Thank you Aptos Plumbing!

Super unexpected and positive experience with Aptos Plumbing! Thanks to Bruce! They were working at a residence on my street and I stopped by to ask questions about drainage. Bruce provided lots of valuable information and tips. No charge and was enthusiastic about it. I mentioned I was doing a DIY hack until my plumber could repair my shower next week (which included taking out a wall). Bruce offered to see if he can fix it WITHOUT taking out a wall. AND HE DID! Saved me hundreds of dollars! Even without this gesture, the information I got regarding my initial inquiry was above and beyond. I'm truly grateful for my experience today with Bruce and Aptos Plumbing! I highly recommend and will hit them up for any future plumbing needs!

Aptos Plumbing came out and replaced our gas lines the same day we called. It was a major fix, and they were fantastic: professional, thorough, and efficient.. I highly recommend them!!!

I had little success with other plumbers regarding problem I had with water issues. Bruce immediately diagnosed it and returned within a week to fix it. He was personable and most important, he did not talk down to me because I am an older woman (like the others did). This is your go-to plumber!!

With new counters installed, none of our old double sink plumbing lined up and our new gas cooktop needed hooking up. Bruce from Aptos Plumbing gave us a very accurate estimate, then came out and installed the new cooktop, garbage disposal, sink strainer and all the required under sink pipe work to match.

Called in to get a quote on a recirculating pump for our tankless heater.   Aptos Plumbing came through early and was able to give us some ideas on the best way to move forward and with hot water in our house.  They were very honest and I never felt like they were pushing unnecessary changes.  Looking forward to working with them in the very near future!

From the beginning Aptos Plumbing was so responsive. We contacted many companies for quotes to fix our flow issues. The other companies were slow to respond and seemed shady in their quotes. Aptos plumbing came and gave us a fair quote with multiple options for us to choose from. In the end it made sense to re-pipe the whole house. They gave us a great deal and the before and after water pressure is incredible. They also got it all done in a day which is great as not to disrupt the house water supply too long. I highly recommend working with them if you need some plumbing done.

I needed a garbage disposal replaced These guy were great, quick response to set up an appointment on New Year's Day, communicated well day of appointment worked with my schedule. Once they arrived checked out the disposal confirmed it was shot and with in an hour I had a new disposal. Great experience would recommend them

Bruce installed a replacement waste disposal unit with great professionalism and care. Gave tips on how to keep it in good condition and what to do to get repair/warranty service. Great service and highly recommended.

These guys are awesome!!! Family member needed some help over the hill so I called and spoke to Todd who assured me my family would be in good hands. Let me tell you, not only was the job done right the first time at a great price, Todd called me as soon as the job was finished and let me know exactly what was done and the warranty info. Never had an experience with a plumber like this before. Will definitely be using these guys again.

These guys are awesome! They snaked my shower drain, and gave me a heads up about a potential issue with the plumbing under the house.

Karma- I can't wait until the bubble pops and the local service industry gets a taste of reality. Because presently? They have all of the power. And often abuse it. That being said. I called Aptos plumbing urgently. They had a major well crisis and hadn't had water for over a week. Four people living in our house in thousands of dollars in landscape dying. They got Bruce to come out the next morning which was the next afternoon. Fair enough that's how it goes. He was extremely knowledgeable yes. He actually found issues that we weren't aware of.And knowing the critical nature of our situation said he was coming back the next day. And emailing me the quote for the several different issues and potential repairs for the job. Then I had to call and leave my email for that potential quote? Which was supposed to be there that evening? Never received a call the next day his wife said the next morning or evening? Cut to3 days later and I have not heard a word. And this is how you treat a customer in crisis? No phone call, no email? No communication at all. Just string them along and expect them to what? So I hate to tarnish their unchallenged five star review. But Aptos plumbing was a huge disappointment for me. They basically left us high and dry without even a common courtesy of telling us when or if they were going to do the job. Which is unprofessional enough when you don't approach a business in an already critical situation. But basically cruel and rather heartless given our situation.

So my water heater went out recently and I contacted the plumber my landlord suggested.  Unfortunately they could not come to my house for a week- I have 4 dirty kids and really need hot water so I called Aptos plumbing and they came out the next day!  
The tech seemed to know what he was doing and he replaced a part (which often go out on water heaters) that same day.  I am kinda handy but since I rent, I have to go through pros for work like this.  I felt that I was treated fairly, with an accurate diagnosis of the issue and not well, we are gonna have to order a bunch of parts and hope it fixes it kind of situation.

These guys made room for us on short notice and made repairs on the same afternoon. Very pleasant to deal with, very knowledgeable, and they kept us informed all along the way as to what was going on. We even asked about them installing a replacement kitchen faucet that we had and they did that also. We will always call Aptos Plumbing first and have already recommended then to our friends and neighbors

I have been fighting a problem with water hammer for quite some time. Called Aptos Plumbing and was visited the next day. Less than two minutes into the call, the problem was diagnosed and fixed! So much for YouTube and the Internet. Take local knowledge and personal service above all. It's worth every cent. This company will be my go-to guys for years to come. Very knowledgeable and honest.

When our water heater in our 1939 bungalow bit the dust, we opted to upgrade to a tankless water heating system. After reading the reviews on Yelp, we were impressed by the comments about Aptos Plumbing.

I gave them a call, and they were able to send out their estimator that afternoon. Bruce was super friendly and knowledgeable and laid out our options for the new system. He also gave us a quote on costs. Tankless conversions are not cheap, but I knew they had their work cut out for them on this elderly home. It was only a couple days later that they sent out a team and dove into the project.

In order to pipe-in the new system, they needed to send a couple of their team under the house--into the crawlspace from hell. Working in mud and water with less than two feet of headroom, they completed the entire job in one day. Everything was done properly, neatly and to code. At the end of the day, they cleaned up all traces of mess and hauled away the old heater and any debris. We had unlimited hot water that evening. No corners were cut, and in the end, we were billed at exactly  the lower end of the estimate. No tack on charges or surprises in the bill.

Everyone on the site was friendly, highly skilled and hard working, and we are totally pleased with the result. We now have all the hot water we need and can check off one more thing we won't have to worry about. I would definitely recommend Aptos Plumbing to a friend or family member.

Replaced existing (and expired) shower and tub fittings. Old fittings required the wall to be opened to insert modern cartridge-based fillings.

The work was completed neatly and cleanly.

We had a hot water burst in our living room concrete slab that surfaced to the top and flooded our entire downstairs of our condo. We received 2 quotes from 8k-13k to re-pipe the downstairs which I thought was excessive. Long story short, Aptos Plumbing was the last estimate which came in at $3600. Granted, I started some of the work before they gave me the estimate but it was still way more reasonable than the other quotes plus they were responsive, professional, and worked with us to get us back to normal. They were also clean which is hit and miss with contractors. I would highly recommend this company.

Bruce was right on time and did the job quickly, neatly and efficiently.  It is a pleasure working with these guys.  They are clean,  and on time and the price is right.  I'd call them again anytime.

Their 5 Star Review Rating is well deserved.  They came out the same day we spoke to them and gave us a free estimate (i.e. no charge if we didn't accept the proposal).  Then, they charged $200 less than the estimate they gave us for installing a new garbage disposal.  Who does that?  They were very professional and friendly.  We will use Aptos Plumbing for all of our Plumbing needs in the future, and you should too!

It was 8 at night. Bruce is still working.  He was professional, hardworking and amazing. I'm very impressed with his knowledge, attitude and work ethics.  I am very happy with his service and feel confidence that he will take good care of people.  He has been a plummer since he was 14!   Wow!  A trooper!  Great guy!  I feel blessed to find him.  Thank you for your great service!

Needed a faucet replaced. Todd (phone), Bruce (diagnosis) and Justin (repairman) were all friendly, prompt and knowledgeable. It's great to find a reliable, small, local plumbing company to have on speed dial in case of future problems.

Thes guys were great!! We needed to have a p-trap put in on our washer hookups to prevent a bad odor problem. They came out and quoted me the projected a couple days after I called. Then scheduled just a couple days out once I accepted the project. They showed up on time to fix it and were communicative about pricing and what work they were doing. We had some really funky plumbing happening, and they made it all work. They even fixed a plugged bathroom sink while they were around. Definitely recommend these guys!

Aptos Plumbing is Awesome! I woke up Wednesday AM having discovered my water heater had turned into a fountain! I called several places but Aptos Plumbing was able to send someone within 3 hours so I booked an appointment. 45 minutes later, I received a call that they could come by immediately, for which I was very grateful. They not only fixed the immediate problem, a leaking water supply line, they came back the next day ON TIME and replaced my 30 year old tank. They did a fantastic job, completing it exactly in the amount of time they said and provided me with an excellent price that was exactly what they had quoted. They explained everything they needed to do and answered all of my questions. They wore masks, socially distanced and were both friendly and professional. It can be difficult to find reliable, dependable people in this town. Also, as a woman living alone it can be worrisome to let strangers into your home but I felt completely at ease with these gentlemen doing their job. I will always recommend the folks at Aptos Plumbing. They are just the best!

Bruce, Todd and Justin were great people to work with on fixing our plumbing and replacing a toilet. I would highly recommend this conscientious company. Very professional and  they personalized the job to my needs.

Our water tank had reached end of life and we decided to install an on demand water heater. They are very knowledgable, thorough and accommodating. I would highly recommend them for any of your plumping needs.

Was having issues with my septic and was so happy to have found Aptos plumbing! Living off summit makes it very hard to find people to come out but this company was happy to the next day, even with the easy way closed due to a complete loss of road due to rain. They used the more rustic route but still made it here fine. They were able to repipe and flush system that day in a few hours and it was fixed at a responsible price. They were very respectful, honest and I will be using them again for any plumbing needs. Highly recommend.

Your comment is not true. There are 50 people in Seacliff Mobile Hones that had legal extra connections for irrigation and water systems that the park knew off and approved. We had numerous meetings concerning the Water Meters and the board said that Aptos Plumbing solicited business . Even the manager Art Alfaro recommended that we NOT use Aptos Plumbing because of their bad work. 50 people were complaining of the bad work, leaks, and messy clean up. Some people complained that workers took pipes out and left gaping holes which they did not have permission to take the pipes out. How could they forget something so simple to turn on the valve.??

Update: The owners have spent more time responding to my review than they did getting back to me with an estimate. I did upgrade the faucet to Grohe as they recommended. I called my contractor, who unearthed his paperwork with appropriate county sign-off on the water heater installation. When I asked about the cost of hydrojetting, he said he'd put it in the estimate, which I never received. He specifically warned me about viagra and birth control hormones in the water, and that only an RO system could remove them. I was amenable to most of the work that was suggested, but needed an estimate to make an informed decision. This is a she said/he said situation, obviously. Bottom line, the guy shook my hand and said he's send the estimate in the next day or two, and I never received it. When I called and texted about it, I was left hanging and heard nothing more until I saw the response to my review.

Not a good experience at all. Needed a basic plumbing fix and fixture replacement in the kitchen. Got a quick response back via Yelp, and even had an owner and helper visit to give me an estimate. Never got the estimate, despite a follow-up phone call and text from me. Must be because I declined their upsell tactics for hydro jetting, adding an RO filtration system, and moving and replacing my perfectly functioning tank water heater for an on-demand one. Did not appreciate the scare tactics about pharmaceuticals in my water supply either. After waiting in vain for an estimate, went with a long-time local plumber who fixed everything for $225. It's nice that others got 5-star service from Aptos Plumbing, but I absolutely did not and cannot recommend them.

Thank you, Bruce, for a job well done, on time, and fairly priced. You'll be my first call the next time a plumbing issue arises!

Our condo water heater was leaking and we contact Aptos Plumbing they were able to go out the same day and make an evaluation, send me a bid.  The next day they installed our new water heater.. Very friendly fast... Need a plumber call Aptos Plumbing.

So appreciate Todd coming out to my mom's house.  He was so understanding of our special situation and came when scheduled.  He was able to repair our garbage disposal rather than replace it which saved us money for sure. Amazing business!  My water heater died so I called several plumbing companies. I left messages but didn't get any returned calls. When I called Aptos Plumbing, within 5 minutes I got a call. By the end of the day I had a new water heater installed. The installers were very nice, worked hard and fast. Cleaned up so nice after they were done. The owners are very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I wouldn't hesitate for a minute to recommend this company. Five stars doesn't seem like enough!

I had a sprinkler head that was leaking in my front yard and did everything I could think of to fix it.  When I didn't fix the problem, I started researching companies to call.  Aptos Plumbing had such great reviews that I decided to message them.  Todd responded within 15 min and tried to fix my problem over the phone.  Our house is older and so the issue wasn't a common one.  He made time in his schedule to come out 1st thing the next morning to help me out.  So friendly, knowledgeable and wanted to make sure our issue was taken care of.  Will always call Todd when we need anything.

Aptos plumbing is the best! I could not believe how committed and professional, not to mention how knowledgeable they were. My Radiant heat system went down and Bruce, one of the owners responded to my call right away. When diagnosing the problem, he looked into several scenarios and came up with a fair price. Bruce did a great job helping us with getting our gas dryer connected, in Spring of 2017.  These guys got back to me, quickly, and helped us BIG TIME!

Very courteous and professional. Todd fixed a toilet leak in under an hour at a very reasonable cost. I highly recommend them.

We had personally tried replacement of our toilet wax ring only to have it fail two times.  We called Aptos Plumbing and they determined that there were plumbing issues in the pipes below the toilet and the adjacent toilet in another bathroom.  They arrived around noon and worked steadily to repair the waste plumbing below both of our toilets until they completed the work at around 8pm.  Justin, Jose and Bruce did an excellent job of evaluating and repairing the failing plumbing.  We had company coming to stay with us that evening and Aptos Plumbing stayed with the project until it was done so that we would have functioning toilets.  Good work guys!  We are very appreciative of their abilities and professionalism.  Thanks to Todd, the owner, also for coordinating the job.

Our water heater had some corrosion on the pipe fittings.  I had 4-5 quotes from other companies who all wanted to do a full replacement costing $$$.  Aptos was the only company that offered a short and long term solution.  Bruce was very knowledgeable, professional, and pleasant, they all were.  We really felt we could trust this team.  Big thanks to Todd, Bruce, Justin, and Jose.  Highly recommend.

Our water heater went out the day after Thanksgiving.  To our surprise, a representative from Aptos Plumbing agreed to come out within an hour at which point he diagnosed the problem, went out to locate the part that was damaged, and proceeded to fix the problem for a fraction of the cost of a new water heater.  Bruce was cordial, professional and efficient.  Would recommend without hesitation.

This company is absolutely fantastic!  We have been having septic issues for the past 3 years and we finally found someone who was able to resolve it. Bruce and Todd are both incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and kind. They both took a lot of time to explain everything clearly to us and to answer all of our questions. All of the people who worked on our project were very kind and helpful as well. They worked very hard to finish our project in a timely matter and left the property clean once they finished. I highly recommend Aptos Plumbing as we will definitely be using them for all of our future plumbing needs!

My experience with Todd and Bruce was excellent.  Happily, no emergencies, but regardless, they were totally responsive, on time and completely competent about my water heater issue.  I'm happy to know they are close by and can be there at the drop of a hat.

I highly recommend Aptos Plumbing. We were on vacation, the toilet was plugged. Bruce one of the owners showed up in less than an hour. He worked hard, troubleshot the problem with his camera and specialty locator device. In an hour or so he had the line unclogged and problem solved. Cheers!

It is my pleasure to write a review about Aptos plumbing.  The immediate issue was a gas pipe leak (scary and dangerous).  Not only did Aptos plumbing show up immediately(during a busy time of the day), but they explained the process to me and conducted the work in a timely and cost-effective manner. Within one day, the project was completed with very little interruption. After the job was done, I could not figure out how to light the pilot on my water heater and the furnace.  They quickly came back to the house (no charge) to take care of it.  When they were here, they also put a small gadget on my propane tank so that if there was ever an earthquake, the propane would shut off.  The gadget was a bit sensitive and so when it triggered for another reason, they quickly came up, re-set it for me and re-lit all of the pilot lights.  This means that they came back 3 and maybe 4 times for follow-up each time on the same day I called.  That's pretty extraordinary.  I should also mention that we live WAY up in the hills of Aptos and it's not a hop/skip/jump to get to my house.  Aptos plumbing took care of me better than any plumbing company ever has.  They are fast, friendly and efficient and I am so happy to have found them.

Todd from Aptos Plumbing took my call after hours on a Friday. He was helpful troubleshooting my problem to the point that I could safely get through the night. He came over first thing Saturday morning and solved the problem quickly. As a bonus, he was super friendly and patient enough to explain everything he was doing to me. It is clear that he knows his stuff and he had actually researched the proprietary fittings used by a national water softener company (that refused to support their own problem). Todd has saved the day twice for us in the last year. He will come at off hours if need be as well. He charges way better prices then the competition yet is as competent.
