Anderson installed 2 split-level AC units, a gas line for a gas stove, and has been out to our home on service calls. Professional awesome service. Technicians use hand held iPads and give you immediate quotes for services. They offer Veteran discounts, limited time interest-free financing. Anderson has high standards for all technicians who wear pink shoe covers and lay out their tools on a mat they bring in; they also clean up before they leave!

I am giving Anderson Plumbing a low rating because they never came to do my repair. When I made the appointment, they said I would get a call at noon or after when they were on their way. At 2:00 they called saying they over booked so could not fit me in today but could they come tomorrow. I was very disappointed and because they do not honor all of their appointments, I will never contact them again. There are plenty of plumbers needing work who can effectively manage their scheduling.

I just called anderson and needed my kitchen sink snaked. I leasing the property. But they wont do the work unless the home owner sets up the appointment.. I'm leasing I'm responsible for all repairs and problems. Home owner doesn't want to be bothered that's why she's leasing it. So anderson refused to do the work. I think because it's not a very big job.

I have been a VIP customer for a number of years, and Anderson has handled most of our needs in a professional manner. Their customer service is excellent, and their employees are knowledgable, polite, and clearly well trained.

In the last couple of years, my opinion has changed. When our 30 year old furnace went down, they sent out a comfort specialist. She did her best to up-sell me on a state of the art system, but ended up getting a basic unit. I live in Del Mar so we don't have much use for a furnace.

Next, our A/C unit went down after 15 years. They sent out a very knowledgeable guy who did a very thorough inspection of our house, and proposed a $16,000 system for the upstairs only. His basic system was $14,500. I got a second bid for $8,000 from the original installer, and it works perfectly.

Next a plumber came out to do an annual inspection (part of the VIP plan) and he ended up recommending two new toilets. I bought those.

Finally, the week before Thanksgiving, we had an outside area drain that had clogged. There was rain in the forecast, and it needed to be addressed. Anderson sent out a very nice guy, who attempted to cleanup the drain, and got his auger stuck. A second truck came, and they couldn't get it out. They cut the line, and left it. The next day, they sent out a supervisor, who proposed a $7,800 job to dig out the entire pipeline and install a new one. He was very matter of fact, and I thought a bit arrogant. I was not happy.

I called another plumbing I had used in the past. They removed the abandoned auger, cleaned out the drainpipe as far as they could. They assured me the rain would not be a problem. The plumber recommended I have my gardener dig a new trench for the last ten feet of the pipe. The total cost of his visit was $800. My gardener completed the job yesterday. Total cost $1050.

Anderson's customer service is great. Their prices are high, and they tend to upsell to their most expensive option. I would highly recommend getting a second bid on any major job before you commit to their bid.

After months of having one over priced, scamming, unreliable plumbers, Jorge was able to easily fix what other plumber who disappeared wasn't able to! As a new resident of San Diego I really didn't know any good reliable plumbers and I thought we couldn't find one. Our hopes were down the drain lol I wish we could of called this company the first time so we didnt have to loose so much time and didn't have to pay so much!! I 100% recommend! They got here in within 1 hour of calling them, they had an Amazing price and they fixed so fast! Thank you I had lost my hope in humanity!

We were pleasantly surprised how affordable Anderson's service was. Chris, our serviceman, was quick, professional, and prompt. We thought a large company would be expensive, but instead Anderson's price for unplugging a drain was very competitive and there were no surprise extra charges. We would definitely use Anderson again.

Our issues began with a clogged drain. We called Anderson because of their $69 or its free clogg deal. We paid nothing because they could not fix the issue by simple means. They sent out a drain specialist, James. He went under the house and identified the major issue of our pipes degradation. After looking for myself and seeing the pictures taken, we decided to replace the entire drainage system on our 1956 home. The team was very thorough in their discussion process to ensure I understood what they were going to do and that I had no questions. The team I was assigned was amazing and I could not have asked for more. Between the drain specialist James and my two techs on sight doing all the work Daniel and Steve, they executed the work in a professional manner and actually seemed to enjoy their job. They kept me up to date with all aspects of the work and gave me an end of work status each day. I will be using them again just because of these three men.
The only thing we had any concern with was that the price seemed high; however, after getting competitive quotes from 3 other companies, Anderson was the perfect balance for getting what you pay for. Highly recommended.

Called Anderson Plumbing to come out for a simple drain snaking at our home. After arriving at our home, from the beginning of our interaction with this employee, he didn't seem to understand what we were looking for. Showed the tech the clean out at the front of the house, ground floor. Took the cover off the readily accessible clean out and showed him the clean out. It is approximately 35-50 feet from the front of the house to the street. After doing a bunch of calculations on his tablet, he stated I could have a drain specialist come out for you. Really, could you? And I bet you can charge the heck out of me too. Besides, that is exactly what We thought we were getting when you sent someone to our home. After all, that's what we asked for when we called you, someone to snake our drain from a clean out. Get lost Anderson, you certainly don't live up to your claims of wowing clients.

I paid for an enzyme treatment that ai never receive. I called the office multiple times and no one got back to me nor Would they refund my money.

I decided to give Anderson a try to repair my malfunctioning air conditioning system which was only 8 years old. Dan came out to assess what was going on and he found that my Freon needed a recharge and that I may have a microleak in the system. Since the prior repair company that serviced it two years ago didn't actually fix the problem, I was skeptical about getting an actual professional. But Dan was happy to explain what he discovered and gave me reasonable options considering the system was only 8 years old. I could see he really wanted to help and not just stick me with a stock service charge and call it a day. We decided to add some leak detection into the Freon charge and find the leak over time. Dan has recently been back as a courtesy call to look for the leak. Nothing yet but when it's time to actually fix the AC I know Dan will do it right! Thanks Anderson!

It's been a little over a year and no cold air was coming out of my AC. I figured it was time to give Anderson PHA a try at doing the job right and installing a proper AC and heater where it would get the job done both quietly and efficiently. Dan came by and got us cool until the new AC installation designed by Kathy took shape in the attic. The old garage installation simply could not move enough air through the house, so instead of a simple replacement, we did it right. Once we settled on the system, everything was covered! Electrical, roofing, drywall, all new insulated ductwork, vents, the works! No hassle installation and the teamwork of Poly and Enrique kept everything professional and clean. I'm looking forward to many years of service and support and highly recommend Anderson PHA to anyone ready to add value into their living space!

Our kitchen sink clogged Thursday and I tried the Harry the Homeowner route with Drano. No joy. Called Anderson that evening after normal business hours and was greeted on the phone by a lovely woman who scheduled us for service the next morning. On Friday morning, after a call from Anderson alerting me that my service tech was 10 minutes away, Chris arrived. He took a look at the sink, went to the trap clean out, snaked it and was done in 15 to 20 minutes. Great work and nice guy. Best $63.00 I've spent in awhile. Would highly recommend this business.

Tony was fantastic, did fantastic work, communicated everything very well. His service was 5 Star. The company as a whole, I have to drop a star for. I feel like there are too many people you have to communicate with, and time got confused a couple different times. We were also quoted $800 for a mini jet...that was changed at the last min to just a more powerful snake. Which cleared our clog it at a fraction of the cost. Wish that had been offered in the very first place.

I'm writing this review because I was very impressed with my interaction with the people who work for Anderson plumbing and heating! Our entire HVAC system went down, leaving us to find someone to help us replace them. Anderson first send out a technician to see if repair was a possibility. Sadly it wasn't. Michael Gaskill showed up promptly following the text message announcing his arrival 30 minutes prior. He throughly inspected all aspects of our system, and then in detail explained in layman's terms what was what. He went on to educate me in the mathematics of moving air through our building, and how an efficient system should operate. His knowledge was quite impressive. Given we were looking at replacement he made a call for an estimator to come work their magic. Same text message 30 minutes prior plus a phone call, and the lovely Eden Teklu arrived! Like Mike, she was efficient, friendly and effective at her job. She too educated me, this time in matters of compliance to code for the required inspection which would happen when the work was completed, placement of equipment etc. When everyone was finished and left I felt confident we had called on a company with quality people in their employ. I felt this was worth my time to review, and recognize jobs well done. I was truly impressed by this company and would recommend them to anyone in need of their services.

That said, full disclosure, I was not able to hire Anderson for our project, as the quote was outside our parameters for this procedure. We're the case different, they would have gotten my business...

Do not trust these guys. We had a leak from our furnace. They came out three days ago and quoted us $800 to unclog part of a pipe and install a new switch. This sounded outrageous to me so we did our own research. My husband ended up replacing the switch and unclogging the pipe himself IN ONE HOUR WITH AN $18 PART. To think we could have paid $800 makes me sick. Get lots of quotes and if something sounds too high, it probably is.

I had a big mess at my home yesterday, my bathroom outside drain was backed up and I don't mind telling you I had one horrible mess. I checked on yelp for drain cleaners and called Anderson. Within 10 min. I received a call from Michael and within 30 minke was on his way to my house. A short time later my drain was unclogged he hosed down the area outside and he was on his way. Problem fixed, he was very professional and explained everything he was doing. I will make sure I call Anderson with all my plumbing needs from now on. I would give them 10 stars if I could. We had gotten a very high estimate from another company, That company tried very hard to upsell us more than we wanted or needed. A friend who is a contractor suggested we call Anderson. Michael was our technician, very friendly, polite and professional. After he inspected our AC/Heating system he recommended common sense repairs based on our needs with our aging system. NO UPSELLING. He helped us figure out the most economical way to get our system to do what we need it to do. He did the repairs the same day as the estimate. The final cost was less than half the estimate from the first company we called. They've earned our trust and we will call them again.

Our shower backed up after the kids bathtub was draining, nasty filthy water with a horrendous smell began to seep into our master bedroom. I sent a request to Anderson plumbing and they got back to me within minutes! They explained how the whole process would work, answered all of my questions, and it sent out a technician within hours. Christine arrived in a very clean Well marked Van, so we knew it was Anderson plumbing. Christine came to the front door, very kind, polite, and respectful. She made sure to wear clean booties anytime she was in our house, and did a very quick assessment explaining everything she was doing as she was doing it. The clog ended up much worse than I anticipated, but Christine was amazing and with her quick thinking, teamwork, professionalism, she gladly accommodated our need for further assistance. I will definitely go back to them for any future needs.

Tim showed up the night before Thanksgiving and took care of our clogged drain. Plumbing can be messy, but he was thorough, careful and clean. This business was the most straightforward and honest about pricing after calling multiple plumbing companies after normal hours. Nobody wows clients like we do is correct, I had them come out to fix a leaking toilet and water heater that caused damage to the dry wall. They changed 2 pipes to a flexible copper one that cost $662. And they also changed a vent pipe that cost $490 and the pipe only costs $20 a piece and took only a short amount of time. I was overwhelmed with the water damage to the drywall and also had a leaking toilet that had to be replaced which ended up being $1179. The first quote he gave me was $1679 and then he had to come back another day to finish and the price when he was finished ended up being $2160 and he added it to the original invoice with the same date was when he first came. I can honestly recommend to everyone to not use Anderson plumbing after this terrible experience with them.

My kitchen sink and clothes washer were completely backed up and when I called a separate plumbing company to snake the line, that company shattered my cast iron pipes and left without telling me which cause a leak under my house. Same company came out and gave me an estimate to re-route the line to prevent destroying the inside of my house. I called Anderson Plumbing to get a second estimate and they gave me an estimate at half the price of what the other company quoted me, for the same work.
Their employees were professional and extremely helpful. I will go to Anderson Plumbing for any issues in my future. Only reason I did not give them 5 stars: they told me the work would take 3 days and it took longer which caused a slight headache with my hotel accommodations for my family. Thanks for the great work and honest pricing.

They refused to give a quote over the phone, showed up, and quoted literally twice what everyone else quoted. A shower valve install that should have been $500 was $1100 apparently. It was an egregious price, trying to take advantage of a demo'd bathroom and someone who needed work quickly. I wouldn't in a million years recommend this company.

The lady on the phone wanted to send 2 separate workers at different times to address the 3 leaks and drain problem and broken disposal. I cannot in good conscience give them even one star. This all started about two years ago with having them reseat our toilet. The first time they repaired the flange and put in wedges. Fast forward a few months, the toilet leaked so they came to reseat the toilet again. Most recently, we noticed some cracks in our tile. And again, the toilet was moving. Called Anderson and it was still under warranty. The tech came out and repaired it yet again. Within a few days the caulking was coming off and the toilet was moving again. One of the flange studs has corroded off. In the meantime, more tiles cracking. Called our insurance company. Turns out there is a leak. Our bathroom had to be completely demoed. All tiles had to be removed. We are now on week three with no bathroom and are waiting for repairs to be completed. It will be another week. I would not trust them to do the repairs. And now I'm stuck with my insurance deductible as well.
If I could give zero stars I would. You did not wow this customer and I don't want a humble pie.

We had an old water heater that started leaking. Anderson was able to come first thing the next day to give a free estimate. We had several companies come out and provide us quotes to replace it with a gas tankless water heater. Anderson came in at a reasonable price but the technician, Drew (Andrew), included additional incentives that persuaded us to go with them. Drew had everything with him and was able to get us the appropriate water heater that same day. He relocated and installed the water heater outside of our garage by the end of the day. We were impressed by how efficient and clean he was with his work. We had previous copper plumbing done in our home before and Drew was impressively quicker than the other guys. He had to come back another day to finish up other work to our house but was equally as efficient and clean with his work. He also set us up to have our drains scoped for free. The technician, Brent, came out to scope our drains and was equally efficient, timely, and customer friendly. I would highly recommend Anderson, Drew, and Brent for future plumbing/heating projects.

horrible customer service! plumber came out to my apartments i own and all he did was say he was there advised my contractor is there. he did what he came to do left no call saying what he had done or anything i had to hear it from my contractor! the next time i heard from anderson plumbing was in the mail for the bill!!!

I want to give Anderson Plumbing 5 stars as they deserve it! The sales rep was knowledgable and thorough. She spent the time to go over our options and answered all our questions- and I had a ton of questions. Even when they ran into an issue replacing our ancient unit, the team stood by their word. The technicians Blake and Christian that installed the HVAC system were amazing- I can't say enough good things about these two guys as they went above and beyond. They were professional, kind, patient and kept us informed all the way. Not to mention, they left the place spotless when they left.

The reason I'm giving Anderson 4 stars is due to the lack of rebate options comparable to local competitors. The two other companies we were working with offered the TECH and TECH partner program where you can receive up to a $3k rebate. I wasn't aware of this program until after the fact and Anderson was up front so shame on me for not doing my research. I hope Anderson decides to join the rebate program as it's a great benefit for their customers.

Candidly, I'm not even slightly wowed. Here's my brief story. I filled out their online estimate request form on Friday (March 19th) and received a call from their representative at 7:30AM Saturday morning (March 20th). I pleasantly requested a call back anytime after 9:00AM, he agreed and the call ended.
Today is Wednesday night (March 24th) and I'm still waiting for the call back.
(I want to replace my entire central HVAC system)

I just had Anderson HVAC and Plumbing out to replace a thermostat/controller for my AC that had stopped working. I called on a Saturday and they very politely put me down for a Monday afternoon appointment.
Katie arrived, a very knowledgeable and polite young lady technician. She investigated all of my HVAC equipment, from the attic portion of the system to the outside condenser unit.
There were many many problems found. I had a proposal for almost $5,000 from Katie.
When the thermostat/controller was replaced (15 minute task) I was politely informed of the cost as I presented my credit card. It was $784 for a Honeywell T6 Pro Programmable unit. I checked Home
Depot for their retail price on this unit and was shocked to see it was $85.
The overhead on this job was bizarrely high! What could've been a quick task of connecting the power wire to the unit's on wire (which Katie did to see if the unit was operating correctly) and the new ($85 retail) T6 Pro Honeywell was accomplished in half an hour.
All further time spent was in noticing parts that were wearing as expected over its 10 years operation.
I decided not to have Anderson quote me on the price of a new replacement for my exterior condenser unit, which is a 3 ton top of the line Trane unit.

So, our tub was clogged. I called and they had someone come out for a $53 drain snake. After walking around and not finding a main sewer line to snake, he came in and told me instead of $53.00 it would be $1000.00 to go through the toilet. I told him to leave. I called Carini and they came out right away and cleared the lines from the tub inside for $79.00. This Company is dishonest, liars and thieves!!!! - do not call them and use Carini Plumbing Heating and Air!!!!

I've had VIP maintenance contract with them for years, in July I called to schedule regular maintenance on my AC system and was told Summer was a black out. Yesterday I receive a text stating that they will disregard the black out and that I was owed my maintenance and ask if I want to schedule (see attached screen capture) Today I call and they tell me that it had already be done in April, it has not and to disregard the text If it had been done it would show as a schedule in my outlook and I would have receipts, I don't).
On another subject also related to my AC. After a previous maintgenance when they removed some of the refrigerant one of my units started making a loud sound when starting, they came back twice and could not fix the issue so they decided it was normal that one of my units did that loud sound and not the other. They also recommended the addition of a hard start capacitor (over $400) A year later I had a different local contractor I met at a networking meeting come for a second opinion he looked at the other unit, it already had a hard start capacitor. he did not think adding one on the other unit would fix the issue, I decided to give it a try anyway (he charged me half of what Anderson quoted me) and he was right it did not fix the issue, the refrigerant was a little low and he thought that would improve the isse and it did. I had a similar experience when they quoted me twice the other quotes on my water heater.

In a matter of months we've had to work with Anderson Plumbing & Heating. In every experience we have had outstanding service and support. Everyone we have had interactions with have been truly warm and respectful. Use of masks and safety was important to us. We met Kathy Szeyller when we purchased a new heater. She was professional and succinct in her presentation. We were able to schedule our appointment within a few days! The installers worked tirelessly first, to remove the old heater. Then, installed the new one efficiently and swiftly. This week we needed them to stop a gas leak in our kitchen. The associate that was sent, James Partridge, went above and beyond to help us get our issue resolved. He returned a second time to ensure we had our new stove up and running. That's service that we appreciated beyond words! I'd give James10 stars! We would highly recommend them to anyone needing their services. Once I had to call this company because I needed to change the faucet in the kitchen sink, when technician came he said it going to cost $550.
I asked why so much? After all I have the new faucet !! He said we charge by the job. Really!!!!
I said thanks but no thanks.
I called another plumber and they did the job for only $99. I never called this company again and had my money offered to a honest plumber.

We had a clogged drain and we called and received service within an hour. Amazingly fast service and so courteous not to mention the price was the best! Would highly recommend you call them for your plumbing needs. Art was super nice and very courteous and professional. Definitely will be using them in the future.

Charles did what was on his list. He turned on all of the faucets in the house, let the water tun awhile and said there were no problems.
He gave me a bottle of enzymes and instructed me how to use them. He was polite and quick.

Anderson Plumbing is suspect act at best and ruthless in tactics.
I am very familiar with my house and plumbing from top to bottom as I built it and, no, I am not a weekend warrior. I'm skilled at structural and mechanical design, framing, plumbing, and every phase of building and maintenance work. I was hesitant to speak poorly of any company for many reasons, but truth is truth.

The tenant renting our house had very slow kitchen sink drain and I made an effort to help clearing it prior leaving town. I ran the sink for several minutes and checked the 2 clean out immediately outside the sink and had water backing up. I checked the next clean out in line (also outside the house) that is roughly 50 ft downstream and had no water present, so line very clearly plugged in the first 50 feet, most likely in an extended length under the raised foundation with a less dramatic fall (slope in the drain). I also checked under the house (crawlspace and things looked ok too.

Layout: There is a 2' clean out right outside the house below the sink at the base of the foundation and a convenience 20amp electrical outlet immediately adjacent and even a hose bib for such issues This should be a straight forward evolution with a proper 50 half inch snake. I just didn't have the luxury of time as I have a noted travel commitment.

I did however, before leaving, run a (1/4 inch) 25 foot hand snake and didn't get the issue. So used a larger 1/2 inch, 50 foot MANUAL hand snake and ran into a grease accumulation at about 40 feet judging by what looked much like a 'grease eraser' (think along the lines of an old school pink eraser in a #2 pencil...but impacted with hardened grease) jammed into the helix of the hand snake. Between a time crunch and how challenging a 1/2 hand snake gets at 40 plus feet... I told the tenant this would require a proper 1/2 50 foot electrical service to get it squared away properly. The drain was indeed running a bit better, but slowly. But an electric 50 foot snake would make quick work of it. I'd estimate 5 min set up. 5-10 minutes labor and a painless clean up, So maybe 20-25 minutes start to finish for most any weekend warrior, much less a pro. The tenant chose Anderson Plumbing because of their tremendous San Diego marketing for $63 clean out guaranteeing a low price drain service and 'you don't pay if they can't clear the drain. NOBODY WOWS CLIENTS LIKE WE DO.

Upon looking at their reviews and considering their out of this world advertising budget... I cautioned the tenant (a college professor and prior homeowner) to watch for a hard upsell and to call me with any questions.
I took the time to explain the house mechanicals and even show him the additional inline inspection access that was clear when the drain was filled with water.

Upon contacting, Anderson Plumbing, they needed to speak to me (homeowner) to get verbal authorization to perform the service. Their phone sales answering service was prompt and their sales staff was professional, so I was cautiously optimistic. This was a Thursday am and they said they weren't busy and could could get a tech out later that afternoon. So far, so good.

Their 'tech' arrived in the afternoon. As I'll explain in detail, if you have a basic understanding of plumbing, or mechanics in general....you'll come to understand that their 'techs' are either complete idiots, or as I more strongly suspect, are complete criminals in cahoots with their flagship brand full of false promises and flat out lies robbing unwitting clients.

So he 'tech' shows up and there is no water in the sink as the drain is slow and not fully plugged and has emptied. He opens the 2 clean out access immediately outside the kitchen and runs the water momentarily and then informs my tenant that since there is no water coming out of the clean-out... that he need to start replacing parts of the plumbing and the 'repair' it was going to be $475. Uh...what repair?

There is 40+ feet of 2 line that needs to fill and back up before water would come out of the clean out as water shouldn't come out of a clean out with the sink running unless the pipe is completely backed up. Mr. Tech, this is a properly installed clean out and not directly in line.. So no thank you to your proposed 'repairs. My tenant respectfully declines repairs and requests him to please snake the the drain as he was hired to do. The technician wouldn't wait for me to be contacted, refused to provide service and promptly left.

I contacted Anderson Plumbing the next business day early and very professionally requested to speak to a supervisor and was informed, not were available and if I left a message, the soonest I would be contacted was 2-3 days. It has been 3 days. So, yes...I've been WOWED alright.

'Nobody Wows clients like we do'. Wow! You would be well advised to look elsewhere.

First time getting a service from Anderson Plumbing. I called expecting to get an appointment in about a week, but they had an appointment for me the same afternoon! Mr Danielson was very polite and evaluated the problem right away. He was very knowledgeable. Price for the job seemed fair but we wanted to shop around. I had a furnace tune up maintenance done this week. Not happy. Tech was here for 10 minutes, max. I don't know what he did or whether he even changed the furnace filter. Due to pandemic, I did not watch him. I know he did not change the return filter because he did not come in the house. $49 tune up price? I guess you don't even get what you pay for.

Until recently, I would have given this company five stars, but not anymore. I have heating and air conditioning from Anderson's and their products are fine. It's their yearly maintenance service that has become a royal pain. I pay for their VIP service plan, but I certainly DON'T get VIP treatment. I'm sitting here waiting for a technician to do my yearly AC check which was supposed to have been between 7 a.m. and noon (pretty big window. . .way too big!). . .It's noon right now. I've been home waiting for five hours. I just got a text from a dispatcher saying the technicians were running late but I was next in line (whatever that means). I might understand the running late excuse, but this is the second time in a row that they've done this! My appointment was originally scheduled for two months ago and that time they no-showed!! After waiting for five hours, I got a text saying we're running behind because we've had too many emergencies today, so we can't make it to your house. Please reschedule. Sooooo, here we are at the rescheduled appointment time and they aren't here again. Obviously they think their time is more valuable than mine -- and obviously they are overbooking like crazy. That's not fair to customers, and I, for one, am very dissatisfied. I've paid for this service and it's not available. Believe me, at Anderson's, the customer does NOT come first. I no longer recommend them to anyone.

Our drains stopped working on NYE, right before the holiday! Syn S. came to the rescue and did a great job. Although the problem wasn't totally resolved, he did a great job explaining what the issue was, what we need to do to fix it, and why the equipment he had wouldn't do the trick. He even got us on the emergency waitlist for the next day specialist on a holiday! Five stars even without a resolution, give this guy a raise.

Called to ask how much it would be to attempt replacing a cold water inlet filter for my tankless water heater. The person who took my call wouldn't give me a price, but said another person would call.

The next person said they would do a complete inspection for $360, after which they would tell me how much it would cost to repair the water heater. I passed. Sometime later I was able to convince a different plumbing company to attempt to replace the filter, which they did; completing repairs for $100.

Also they have been spamming my email ever since, even though I have requested they stop doing that five times before finally giving up. Not respecting customers' wishes or the law should give a person pause before hiring such a firm, I would think.

Terrible experience. They came to my elderly parents (94 & 87) home. I was present. They did an inspection. Wouldn't give us an estimate. Said they needed to have their estimator come out. This was from the guy who bragged that he had 42 years experience with every type of heater, yet he wouldn't even ballpark it. They sent an estimator who was actually a sales closer. Said the heater needed to be replaced as it was orange/yellow flame which was emitting carbon monoxide. The flame should be blue. Called Bill Howe Heating. They showed us that the flame was in fact blue. The heater was working fine, but the home needed new ducting (Andersen also said this). We had Howe do the ducting. They were professional, timely and professional. Use Howe. Avoid Andersen at all costs

I wouldn't use Anderson Plumbing. They wanted to charge me several hundred dollars more than two competitive plumbing companies. What's worse is they worsened the clog while inspecting my drain to the point where dark black sludge overflowed into our sink. At that point they wanted to overcharge me because they had me over a barrel. I declined their estimate and called another company that come out and unclogged my sink for $300 less.

I was grappling with the cover to my water meter, trying to see if I had a leak (I'd received a very high water bill) when Julian Castorena and his partner, Michael, arrived to take care of my neighbor. They asked me if I needed help and I told them what my problem was. After they'd taken care of my neighbor they came over to my house and set about trying to find the source of the leak. They took tHeir time and eventually found the source of the problem. They gave me an estimate of what it would cost to fix it, but encouraged me to shop around, if I wanted to. I decided to let them do the job since they had already spent time solving my problem. They came back the next day and fixed it for me. They are very courteous and competent young men and they are great representatives of Anderson Plumbing.

I hate writing a Yelp review like this, but we had a ~28K HVAC job done and while it seemed like that was great, all the ending details (i.e. the last 10% of the job) have been beyond disappointing. Really seems like once they got our money they were out.

(***We choose this company because we appreciate that it is female owned, and that they support local charities and sports***).

Don't get me wrong, new HVAC is amazing, all the early work was great... but when it comes to following through on really minor things, like the AC control UNIT was clearly not installed correctly and wouldn't work unless I pressed 2MM above the button, the dry-wall (literally left HOLES), finding cigarette butts, pieces of metal, screws all over our lawn, contractual obligations to install lights (not installed), and one room that seems to have just been ignored totally etc. etc. it's been a battle.

I work from home and we've had them back 4 times to finish up which is offensive to me (I AM WORKING) and a waste of my time.

One of the follow-up technicians was amazing (he came twice), the other two made me feel like I was being difficult about things we all signed off on together. We have two other jobs we planned to do in the first 5 years of owning this house, but will 100% call another company.

And (in defensive of this review when I could call direct) I'll say when people have been in your home, it's extremely uncomfortable to call a company and complain about them.

I am not expecting a reply, I didn't want to name names, I just don't really think anyone should use Anderson unless they want the big work done and don't care about the details that make you happy at the end.

(and as a sidenote: at my old house, I had a horrible experience with an Anderson tech who ripped me off on a plumbing issue. Anderson did their best to make this right after, which is also once the reason we tried again but I guess... fool me once... fool me twice...)

I requested service for a bath redo project I'm in the middle of. I explained Exactly what I needed. I was told that there would be a mandatory fee of 49.99 just to show up and look at it. Two nice guys showed up and said they would be unable to take care of the problem because they needed to send their drain specialist. They scheduled me for the next afternoon, a Friday. Then they call late Friday afternoon to say they can't make it after all. UPDATE: They were able to rectify the whole situation by having someone come out the next morning. Estimate was completed and the work was able to be scheduled. They came out and completed the work to my satisfaction. I was very impressed by the level of professionalism displayed by four different people that came to my house. Each person was very courteous and polite. I would use Anderson again because evryone i dealt with was pleasant and professional.

I woke up in the morning to find our furnace had failed during the night. I work 12 hour shifts and would be working for the next two days.... so I called Anderson to see if they could get a service tech out to fix the furnace that day. The service tech ultimately made it out after several delays and my 85-year-old father was there to greet him. I came home that night expecting to find the furnace repaired, but instead found a note stuck to my furnace saying check my email! In my email was a summary of needed repairs with the recommendation to buy a new furnace. Why did I need a new furnace? Because the blower motor for the engine was dirty, there was a compromised heat exchanger (By this he meant there was a small hole in the side of the box that had been covered with tape for years but could easily be covered with a metal plate to repair it), and a $35 switch had gone bad. These are things I figured out later. At first I tried to contact Anderson to see why they were recommending a new furnace when it look like repairs would be relatively inexpensive and despite promising to call me back it has been two days and nobody has called me back. Meanwhile the furnace doesn't work. Ultimately I decided to dig into it and figure it out myself. That is how I know that the cost of the switch is only $35 the box is easily repaired and I've already clean the motor! I think I've dealt with more respectable used car dealers!

Called Anderson as we were told a part on the tankless water heater froze and it would cost $1000 to fix it. I wanted a second opinion so James from Anderson came out and opened it up and said that a part was just stuck. $42 later it was fixed. I will never use anyone but them again!!

Anderson reached out to me immediately after I posted my yelp review, and they scheduled a technician to review the leaking drain. The technician was very knowledgeable, detail oriented, professional, and friendly. He spent time to fully disassemble the drain, identify the issue, clean all parts, install, and check to ensure it was working properly.

The first time Anderson Plumbing, Heating & Air fixed a plumbing issue they wowed me. I came to learn their business model is to do good work on your first encounter with them, then rob you blind in every encounter afterwards. They are the most dishonest company I have used for any household repair.
1. They came over to do a 'complimentary' heater check in a rental, and told me my heater needed to be replaced. The home warranty company checked out the heater and found the only issue was the pilot light was out.
2. I had another rental where I was told (after another 'complimentary' heater check) that the heater (which was not very old) was not installed correctly and was very dangerous. I couldn't take a chance so I had the heater replaced. It was winter and needed to be done quickly so I did not shop around. It was very $$.
3. Same issue with water heater: it was not very old but was leaking. Anderson told me it had to be replaced.
4. Kitchen drain was clogged. I had the hydro-jet cleaning done instead of just snaked to make sure to get it cleaned properly. The tech said the clog was cleared. Later the same afternoon the camera tech said the pipe was broken and needed to be replaced. I didn't believe him after all the previous experiences. 2 days later the drain was clogged again. I called Goetel's who came out and fixed the clog and confirmed the pipe was not broken. It took 5 phone calls to get my money back from Anderson and the reimbursement has still not shown up on my credit card.

My mother had a slow clearing drain. It was a Friday. She had already set an appt. with Bill Howe on Monday. I convinced her to try Anderson because they had advertised a very low price for clearing drains. She decided to give Anderson a try, cancelled Bill Howe, and set an appointment for Monday. They gave her a very wide window - 7:30am - 12:00, which seemed extreme, but we were willing to give them a try, figuring they would likely arrive early in the morning. But no - not the case. They didn't arrive until 12:00. Who gives a window of 4 1/2 hours starting at 7:30am? That's worse than Cable Guy! After a lost morning waiting for them to arrive, they couldn't clear the drain. They wanted $299 for the work - not the $63 they had advertised. The reason? They said it was because they had to bring their snake in the house. My mother, disgusted, declined to have the work done and set an appointment for Bill Howe - which we have always thought was expensive, but reliable. The appointment was for 2 days later, but they ultimately were able to squeeze her in a day sooner and for only $120!!! Anderson took the prize for late, unreliable, and outrageously expensive - plus, it seemed they were trying to scam my elderly mother into thinking that her clogged drain required special equipment to be brought into the house to clear it. That was the one and only time either my mother or I will every give them a try. The hot pink plumbers were of no help whatsoever.

Spent 22K on a new unit and nothing but problems since then. I've had to make at least 4 service calls for the same issue and they cant seem to fix it. I got the VIP service because we have a family member with congestive heart failure called Sunday and they tell me they cant get anyone here until Thursday....its 90+ degrees all week.

Extremely overpriced. I called about low water pressure in my showers.
They quoted me 1600 to replace the cartridges. I found another plumber who fixed the problem in a couple minutes by simply removing the clogged flow limiters.

Anderson plumbing, heating and ac has great customer service. The receptionists to the technicians were all professional, compassionate and helpful. My technician, Michael P., was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. I received a call before he arrived confirming I was home, a text message with a picture, bio, and a link to track his arrival. After the job was complete he stayed in his truck for 10 minutes and sent a report with pictures of the problems and solution as well as checking in. The company has been around for decades and you can't deny their reputation. The office is based out of El Cajon but I live in San Marcos and there was no problem servicing North county.

The kitchen sink backed up with water, dirty water.
I phoned my usual plumber, Anderson Plumbing, Heating & Air. When the plumbers arrived I reminded them that the house has a septic system. Very quickly
they checked the area in the backyard that contains the septic system & discovered that the system needs to be emptied. Arrangements were made for that, only to discover that the pipes were broken in the septic system. Why?

They discovered that I had neglected to add the chemicals necessary for a septic tank. The pipes blew up because of that. To make this a short story.....the plumbers replaced all the pipes for a price of about $10,000. and gifted me a supply of the right chemicals for the septic tank. I continue to call my favorite Heating, Air & Plumbing company---Anderson.

Anderson followed up on our initial awful experience and took a number of voluntary steps to make things right. They refunded their $514 plumbing charge, fixed the toilet seal that the plumber broke and replaced a water damaged floor board next to the toilet. Unlike the initial plumber, the follow-up workers were very careful about covid, suggesting that our initial experience was isolated. I still feel we dodged a bullet with the initial plumber, but I'm impressed to see a company stand behind their work. Raising my review from one star to three.

I recently had an issue with my tankless water heater. I purchased the water heater from Anderson Plumbing in approximately 2015. Anderson plumbing went above and beyond to take care of my concerns by sending a technician out within a few days to diagnose our system. Our technician Fernando was very professional, knowledgeable and made the experience a positive one. He ran his diagnostic checks and was able to assure me that our system was running properly and made sure our hot water was flowing as advertised. Fernando also de-scaled our system before packing up and heading out. All this quality and professional service was done at no cost to me since nothing was going to need to be replaced. This is the kind of service all companies should strive for. From my initial contact with Erin (who was also very professional and helpful) to Fernando's quality service I'm glad to have chosen Anderson plumbing for our water heater needs.

I am very disappointed with the service call recently performed at Mission Ridge Condos, Unit 120. I assisted the 85 year old owners of the condo in discussion with the Anderson techs. I am the board president at Mission Ridge and am VERY familiar with the complex. They insisted they could not access the condenser on the roof even after I told them exactly how and where it was. Said they could not access air handler without opening the ceiling or the floor of the unit above for which I know is completely incorrect. The tech said the only thing they could do is send out another rep to give an estimate on replacing the entire system.
I waited until they left and asked the senior owners if I could put them in touch with another vendor that I have used often. Today that vendor came out only to find the power had been turned off at the condenser on the roof. When he turned it on the system worked fine. Only needed a bit of freon. He saved these elderly owners thousands of dollars and resolved much stress they were having as the unit is listed for sale.

Service is good but their pricing structure is ridiculous. They provided us with a quote before starting the job and without knowing what would be required to fix the problem - a small pipe leak. The quote was for over $1000 which we had no choice but to accept since we had had to turn off all the water to the house. The job took just over an hour and the repairman then took another 30 minutes to create an invoice followed by an hour sitting in his truck outside our house. He gave us an additional estimate of over $5000 to replace the pressure reduction valves going into the house. We rejected this since other estimates were all less than $1000! I'd use these people in emergencies only.

Wanted to use their $53 drain special. When I called she said there was a $42 service charge. I said your website and commercials say there isn't one. Ok she said. Really? If I didn't say something you would have charged me? They came out next day. Technician said the clean out was not easily accessible so there would be additional charges. $100 more!! We declined and were told there was a $42 service charge then. I was not pleased. The technician called supervisor and they waived it. The technician was very polite. The supervisor was quick to waive. However, feel very misled and still have to deal with backed up drain. Had the price been clear from the beginning I would have paid, I get it, that's what you charge. Really feel it is false advertising and felt like it was a bait and switch situation.

Josh came yesterday to take a look at our unit that stopped blowing out cold air. He was at my house for a good 2hrs. I greeted him at my garage and he had a smile on his face and was so cheerful even after finding out that his service vehicle had no AC. Wth??? It was hot as hell yesterday. I would have been miserable. Then I felt bad for the guy even more because I live in a 3 story townhome. Still had a smile on his face and explained what was going on every step of the way. I had a very good experience today. I called and the receptionist was very friendly. She called me several times to update me on the plumbers eta. They were out in about two hours. They charged me 53$ to clear my line and offered a camera service for free on another day next week. The plumber was a very nice guy and you can tell he was not trying to rip us off. I called Roto rooter and they wanted to charge me 300$ for just the camera. I will definitely use them again if I have plumbing issues.

Josue was able to use an existing clean-out under the sink to use the electric snake and cleaned it out like a pro! Unfortunately, the first two gentleman who showed up were just there to 'assess' the issue. Neither would open the clean-out to use the snake from there, so I did and that's where Josue took over and did what he needed to do with excellent results. He used his strength and snaked up and down the line, complementing our pipes along the way, keeping it all very clean. He gave tips on how to keep them clean and was both proud and confident in his work. The other two guys from Anderson plumbing were more interested in referring me to the $700 Hydrojet service that would have to be on another day. The office told me I was given options, but the only option I was given was the $700 Hydrojet service. I was the one who had to ask for the $53 or it's free drain cleaning service. $650 cheaper and a day sooner, this was the work that needed to be done. All three people Anderson sent out were prompt and friendly. It should also be noted that there is a current offer from Anderson for $199 Kitchen Hydrojet Cleaning. Neither of the first two gentleman mentioned this when trying to sell the same service for ~$700

They really do wow clients
We had a new furnace and ducting installed and they were so great! From the beginning of having a technician come out to evaluate the problem to the crew that was here doing the work. We have a 20 month old baby and the crew was so great working around his nap time and being respectful of his space. They were clean, fast, respectful (and so great around my son). Everything seemed professional up to the point we're the technician started the service of my AC units. First thing was to swap out the filters without checking the need to exchange (I had replaced them recently and they were not used). The next step really threw me off. The technician literally refused to service the compressors because he could not reach the Freon line intakes into the units. I could and the original installer of the units could. So he just left, maybe he did not want to get his uniform dirty.

Anderson Plumbing attempted to clear two blocked bath room sinks. The tech said he could not clear the drains without removing the wall in both baths and replacing the pipes. The tech also recommended conducting a hydro-jetting of the main sewer line. The bid for the bath sinks was $3,000.00, and for the hydro jet, $1,000.00.

I got a second opinion from A.S.A.P. Plumbing and Drains. They cleared the sinks by using a snake, not requiring any opening of the walls for the reasonable sum of $250.00. They did conduct the same hydro-jet cleaning of the main sewer line, as suggested by Anderson Plumbing for a substantially less expensive $450.00.

Anderson Plumbing are guilty of incompetence, price gouging, and possibly fraud in attempting to sell me on work that was not required to solve the blockage. Their prices are astronomical compared with A.S.A.P. 'S

Needless to say I will never call Anderson Plumbing for any services.

Original en suite toilets (2) were 25 years old and needed to be replaced. Chris from Anderson assessed the situation quickly and was back 3 days later to do the install. I called them out to replace a bathroom sink faucet. I bought the faucet, so the quote was only for the labor to install my new one. The quote was $514. I was shocked as it was pretty simple work. So I denied the service and did it myself. It took me all of 15 minutes for a non-professional (myself) to install the new faucet. I also needed a new pop-up installed in another bathroom and that quote was $323. Very unrealistic & disappointing pricing. One note, the plumbing technician was absolutely the nicest & most professional guy.

I recently had the Plumbing division of ASI come out to give us a quote after having a pinhole leaking in a pipe caused by calcium repaired. They looked at all bathrooms, kitchen sink, washroom sink and the water heater. The water heater was replaced in 2019 and was missing a part that falls under code. ASI gave me an estimate for $17k worth of work that included repairing the code issue.

Anderson Plumbing came in after and noted the same code violation. They showed me the Job Number, Date of Repair, and Phone Number on the Heater. They also shared I should call the company that did the work and have them come back out and fix the code violation. They came out this week for the price of the part ($49) and did the work for free.

Haven't awarded the business yet but Anderson won reputational points for the way the addressed the Water Heater issue!

Extremely overpriced. Found out too late. They told me furnace was free, but now I know I paid more than double what others charge. Replaced whole AC in 2018, and have had problems with system every 6 or 8 months. First year. Oh , they said installation was done wrong. Then furnace not working, something about faulty installation. And on and on. Right now again AC not working. And service is terrible. Please find out about other companies, dont use them. Just had a great experience with Anderson Plumbing. I had an issue with a leaking faucet of a built in wall bathroom room sink. Two other plumbing companies came out to my condo, assessed the situation and said they would be unable to do the job - as the shut off valves were frozen and behind this awkward ceramic add-on part of my sink. And I didn't like having this running water from the leaking faucet, worried it may get worse. Luckily the technician from the 2nd plumbing company recommended I give Anderson Plumbing a call for this type of issue.

Well let me tell you, Mary Jean Anderson and her team don't play - they really did wow me by resolving this situation that had 2 other plumbing companies befuddled. Dylan David and his assistant came out to my condo and efficiently diagnosed the situation and took the steps to repair it / replace it that same day. I am so relieved to have this situation taken care of. Thank you Anderson Plumbing! I most definitely shall repeat business with this company.

I called for a toilet that was not flushing-and not good timing as I had company visiting. At first they were good and had a plumber out that day. The plumber was out and used an auger about 6 feet and couldn't get the toilet to flush down. She said she needed to remove the toilet to snake farther for around $500 but if I bought a new toilet from them ( which she recommended because the toilet was old)-they'd wave that.
I called them and they guaranteed me someone would call me that same day to schedule the final fix or install for the following day. Never got a call.
I had a different company come out the next day and they fixed my problem in 5 minutes by snaking the toilet about 3 feet. He told me my toilet was in good shape and there was no calcification in the water line that provides the power for the flush. All fixed. Second time Anderson has tried to over charge us in addition to not fixing the problem.

Since purchasing our new home in June, I had Anderson to our house twice for some repairs to HVAC and some other minor things, to the tune of about $6K. I'm now realizing how much they overcharged for this work, and how much more they almost bled from us. They were trying to tell us we needed a new water heater, even though the one in the house is working fine and is only 7 years old. I've had 2 other plumbers look at it since then, and neither one recommended replacing it. Anderson charged over $900 to install a water pressure regulator valve and $575 to install a new garbage disposal. For obvious reasons, I'm now not convinced that I needed either one. The Anderson plumber said he could tell we needed a garbage disposal because the one we had was so loud. The new one is much louder and also causes the sink to vibrate. We just had another plumber do an excellent job fixing a pipe fixture on our patio--Anderson's estimate was $1500. The job cost us $450. The Anderson plumber said we needed a new toilet in our guest bath. The honest plumber fixed it for almost nothing and it's working perfectly.

They were super responsive and professional. My neighbor had them out just when I needed a service, and so I had them visit me after they finished. It is pretty corporate in that I had to call into the appointment center and talk to the dispatcher to ask if this person that was already there could come over for an estimate. He was super professional and good experience, cut open some drywall as part of the $49 visit free, plus the $7 fuel charge which was a little silly for driving 10ft...but whatever.

Quote was $710 for a simple 2'' pipe repair. I ultimately got it done by another plumber for $210. Looks like their pricing is really high and very glad I got the other quote.

We spent over $10000 on a new heater and air conditioner. When the heater was installed, they left a large hole in the ceiling above the heater. Had to do another appointment to get it fixed.
Came for a scheduled (included) maintenance call and did not have the filters that fit the furnace they installed. Came again and filters would not fit. Were going to bend the furnace door!!!
My opinion of this company on a scale of 1 to 10 is a minus 7999. Would most strongly recommend against them.

I'm a plumber, I was unavailable to assist my customer with a water heater install. She called Anderson. They did a great job. Plumbing is a difficult trade. There was a warranty issue with the heater. It was producing air bubbles in the system. I work the problem and Bradford White sent out the part. The manager at Anderson named Gary agreed to make it right, so they sent out their technician to replace the part and covered it on the original bill. They stand behind there work.

Most recently Brian Blanchard (plumbing) and Chris Boulais (camera/jet drains) were out and did an absolutely fantastic job diagnosing several complicated plumbing issues. I especially appreciate that they took the time to really address underlying issues, not just address a surface problem-that is the kind of service that I love in a great company! Michael Probst also did a great job with cleaning and maintenance of my heating and air conditioning system, and Robert Baker was awesome attending to all of my phone calls at various hours of the day and evening to coordinate all of those services. Very nice technician, seemed to be very knowledgeable and really concerned about the condition of our furnace, which was certainly no surprise. He left behind a piece of equipment and also told me that he would send me an email with a thorough report of all that needs to be done to replace the furnace and make the furnace site safe. A second person showed up to write the general estimate. Today I was told that I, the potential customer, had to call this second person for clarification...Me the potential customer was instructed to call one of their employees on a separate telephone number to get more information that I needed...Me the potential customer.

Well, the report I finally received this afternoon after almost a week and two follow up calls is missing vital information and did not include the pictures it said it had. I called a third time to get a complete report, nothing yet.

This company presents itself very professionally and claims to want to make its customers smile. After almost a week of waiting for an email, my smile has faded.

Called them Friday. They gave me an appointment window for Sunday. Their window was pretty open... from 12:00 until whenever.... They had a $53 or it's free drain clearing special so I made sure that was going to be their rate after I explained the issue.
Sunday I Called twice during this window just to confirm and the second time they said we were next on their schedule. Around 6:00pm on Sunday we get a call from the plumber saying they cannot make it before 8:00pm and probably finish around 10:00. They said because it is after hours (their fault because they never showed up for our appointment) they would have to charge a minimum of $199

I'm glad to see that so many people have found this review helpful. I have now had Andersons plumbing out 3 times and although they are able to unclog my bathtub from having standing sewage in it they never seem to get to the root of the problem. Currently having another plumbing company review their work and make recommendations. More to follow

I made an online appointment so I assume they came from this location, which is closest the my home. They called me right away and had someone at my house in less than 2 hours of online appointment. Michael responded and was very helpful. I took advantage of the August drain special for three drains and Michael was very professional and told me how to fix two blockages (or what I thought were blockages) and fix the other himself. Who knows if another plumber would have charged me to unclog all blockages but Michael didn't. Was only charged the one he unclogged. Thank you Michael!

Our water heater broke and we were in a pinch. Our usual plumber had been purchased by someone else, and the new folks were horrendous (their estimate was ridiculously high, and they tried to upsell us rather than dig into the problem at hand).

I called Anderson Plumbing, and they provided me an estimate for the work which was clearly a fair estimate. Additionally, they were ready and willing to come out that day. We ended up not using Anderson for the job (we later learned that we had a warranty), but we were very appreciative of Anderson's willingness to provide a fair price and jump in and do the job quickly.

I would definitely use Anderson in the future.

It was a horrible feeling knowing my plumbing wasn't working and I had exhausted all I could do by myself. When I called Anderson Plumbing I was delighted to speak to a person and not a recording. They sent out Syn, who took the time to make sure we had a solid understanding of the situation and then he got to work. The following days the repairs were made by other fantastic specialist. The price was fair and I felt more knowledgeable of my houses plumbing than I did before. I have a go to plumbing company with Anderson. Would strongly recommend.

I've only had good experiences with Anderson. They are easy to schedule, prompt, and their technicians are knowledgeable. I never feel like I'm being over sold or ripped off, in fact, I find that every service technician has given me tips and tricks to keep them away!

I recently had Loren come by to help with a routine plumbing issue. He was awesome. He helped me understand a bit more about my current situation and gave me a few solutions to consider moving forward. Overall he was prompt, knowledgeable and kind. 10/10 service.

We had a drain issue on a Saturday morning. Our typical plumber wasn't answering their phone and our back-up was closed, so we decided to give Anderson Plumbing, Heating & Air a chance. They were open and got us an appointment for mid-afternoon. Andres showed up on time and was great. Courteous, professional and made sure our drain was working as it should - he didn't just snake it and leave like so many other plumbers. We'll definitely be using Anderson again.

Wow...talk about over priced.
My quote was almost $2000.00
For an outdoor pvc pipe that separated, To top it off, I did the digging and located the area.
INSANE!
I called a local licensed plumber and was fixed in a half hour for $200.
This should be illegal!!
I don't know how anyone can agree to these outrageous prices.
How are they still in business???
Say no, it's a major rip off.

We had a slab leak diagnosed as total system breakdown due to age of pipes. Joseph Cuevas (Jo Jo) analyzed the situation and among the options, we chose above ground repiping with a combo of copper and pex. He jumped in and was very mindfull to do what he could to make it affordable for us. Jojo and his Co tech Alphonso, got this pretty major job done as promised in 3 days and make an efficient, friendly team. I also commend Anderson for their mentorship program training servicemembers about to get out for new careers. Thanks for bringing integrity back.

Spoke with Erin and Debbie VIP Supervisor this morning and they were understanding, both sincerely apologized for the whole ordeal and were quick to investigate the break down in communication and to correct it so that future mishaps don't happen. I can't begin to say how happy I am with the team I had, Jorge and Bernard. Anderson Plumbing was the 3rd plumbing company I called. All the other plumbers took one look at the Toto toilet and left without doing anything because they didn't know what to do. This team came in started right in, found a significant issue and just stuck with it till it was done. I highly recommend them!!

Anderson came to the rescue when I had a plumbing emergency!

Basically, I had a blocked mainline and was having major problems with all of our toilets and showers /bathtubs. I called another big local company the same evening, and was told it would take a couple of days unless I wanted to pay the night rate on the following day, which was very high.

I called Anderson the next morning and they had Chris, a really good tech, arrived by midday. Outstanding!

Chris was friendly and communicative, telling me everything he was doing along the way. He snaked the line unsuccessfully but was able to get a colleague to come by and put a camera down the line which showed very clearly what the problem was. The blockage was then cleared, and everything worked once again!

Needless to say, I was very pleased with the quick response and good attitude that Anderson showed. You have a lot of choices in this business, so why not choose a five-star company!

Buyer beware. I had these people install a kitchen faucet a few months ago. I supplied faucet yet they charged $600 to install- it took the guy 15 min. Im writing this review because it still makes me angry. I was shown an estimate but it was zoomed in on a different portion of the page. The guy even acted strange like he knew he as ripping me off. Ugh. I should have known.

I would never recommend these people. Women owned does not mean trustworthy.

Visit total waste of my time. Called about clogged cooling drain. Katy arrived I explained her the issue. She went through a few voltage checks on the compressor then looked at drain. Yep clogged, she agreed. She said most likely needs to be rebuilt or possibly new unit. Never got up in attic to check and verify. She said her speciality was electrical. When asked about new unit, says not my department, call and ask. So unlike most companies who will try to at least clean it or get some ac for a customer, she did absolute nothing. She even sat in her truck with ac running while filled out report. 10 min after she left saw the truck sitting around the corner. Will never use this company again. The vehicle sat around corner longer than entire time she was in our house.

I call for them to chec my Hvac as it is cooling down the house but not as before, and a guy came and told me that the system is woring ok but my condenser is to old and recomend to change it, the next day anothe guy came to my house and quote me $32,000 to change the unit.

They do something to my HVAC that now it do not cool down at all

Tech was on time + gave us a quote for cost, but he never really said what the issue was or what he was going to do. Then he had to go + buy the tool he needed. We never received the invoice, so I had to call for a copy to be emailed. Invoice was a flat rate item, no explanation of parts vs labor. I called for itemization and was told we don't do that. I tried to explain this was a rental property and it was easier if we turn in itemized billing. Girl just repeated, we don't do that + read back the line item we were charged for. Had to call them back to fix they're work, as it left a leaking shower head behind them.
Pretty sure we ended up paying for the tool, but it wasn't left behind.
Won't use them again.

The two plumbers they sent over were highly skilled and walked us through the changes they were making to the job.

They made things right very quickly. I am very appreciative that Anderson Plumbing worked very hard to get the job right. While the original job was an unfortunate nightmare the fact that Anderson Plumbing worked so hard to make things right tells me they value their customers and care about their reputation.

I have no complaints, but the only reason for the 4 stars if because I think they're way overpriced. I got estimates from other 5 star companies that were half the total price of a full gas line replacement.

From my initial phone call through the end of the service call, the customer-focused service was exceptional. Scheduling an appointment was easy. The texts with updates and introducing our technician (Donny Bueno) were excellent. I really appreciated the email with Donny's photo and background, as well as the link to track his location prior to arrival. ***Beware of this company's lack of transparency and HUGE mark up. ***

They attempted to charge an outrageous markup on a thermostat.
My dad is a 4th generation HVAC guy.
He wasn't available so we called Anderson to help with a glitchy thermostat,
I was quoted $1400 to replace a nest!!!!!!
***literally a 10 minute job and max $250 cost of a new unit. ***
THERE WERE NO OTHER ISSUES BESIDES THE NEST NOT HOLDING A CHARGE.
This is something that industry standard says for labor could be any where from $176-$250 for instal so max to customer should have been told $500.

I was given no explanation for this mark up of OVER $1000 other than that's just what we charge, sorry. On top of that they try to sell you on dirty ducts and other issues that having a dad as an AC for over 40 years I can assure you were made up issues!!!!
Your units have filters, this is completely unnecessary and these people will most likely damage your duct work while attempting to clean them.

After patching my dad in on a three way call with the technician and having him ask some questions I got a call back from the technician that our current nest actually was able to charge.
So it was our lucky day I guess...... smhhhhhhh.

The next day I called the office to get a range of what they may charge to replace a thermostat and explained the situation and they were COMPLETELY unwilling to help and unconcerned with my experience, she talked over me the whole time. It was the cherry on top of an over all BAD experience. ZERO transparency.

Your business is best left with a local company that is small and honest.
** Please proceed with caution. ***

In a time where life is hard enough as it is you don't need these extra mark ups, lack of transparency and unhelpful contacts.

( I dont believe in slamming businesses. Everyone makes mistakes but this wasn't a mistake it was an outrageous money grab and it's our duty as members of a community to keep eachother informed. )

The worst experience ever from a company that claims we wow customers. Well my wow goes like this. 1) Their service technician Bernard Bonner spoke directly to my tenants - not me. Gave THEM his verbal recommendation as well as showed THEM photos which prompted an early lease termination! How dare he! 2) I spoke directly to Mary Jean Anderson about the incident who promised a next day response. Nothing! 3) Two months later I wrote a detailed letter substantiating my complaint with tenant documentation. What I received was a templated answer from customer service denying all responsibility and ending in we wish you the best and are here if you need service. I was told by a contractor Anderson tries to scare people into paying for their high priced services. I received Anderson's bid to power jet for $969, to spot repair for $4082.50 and to reline for $9791. Their competition bid the same work for $600 (jet), $1500 (repair), and $6500 (Re-line). I saved $2582 by NOT choosing Anderson to spot repair. The definition of wowing customers is to respect them, provide fast response and exceed expectations. Anderson provided none of these.

We have a leaky faucet in our master bathroom sink. Created a project on Yelp at 7am. Got requests for more information from 3 plumbers. The first to reply was Anderson. They said that they could not give me a quote over the phone that a plumber needed to come out to evaluate the situation and would then be able to quote the project. They said the could not give me an exact time but it would be in the afternoon. The plumber showed up at 5:30pm. He looked at the sink for 1 minute. He got on his iPad and quoted me $1,000.
$1,000 FOR A LEAKY SINK!!!

Now it's late and I have to find another plumber. Day wasted.

Amazing company. I don't normally write reviews unless the company is terrible. But Anderson Plumbing, Heating, and Air have amazingly honest manager. I asked a competitor company to go out to give us estimates on a furnace heater. They gave us a quote and it seemed reasonably priced. I call Anderson to come out and give a quote as well. Their sales manager come out and saw we had a ductless air system. We didn't even know it had a heater as well. The manager from Anderson showed my parents how to turn on the heater using our ductless AC system because it had both heating and air. Saved my parents thousands of dollars. Now that's a company I can trust. He could have just given us a quote and tried to make some money. I'm also a real estate broker and I sell a lot of home in San Diego. Charles arrived at our home on time and with a friendly attitude. showed him our clogged drain issue and asked questions to help with diagnosis. He gave us the estimate and had him work the problem. Fixed our drain issue quickly and tested the drain a few times to make sure it works. Very clean and cleaned up and verified before leaving. He's very personable and he gave some recommendations to help maintain our drains. Would highly recommend Anderson Plumbing.

When they gave an estimate for HVAC $10,000 higher than a five star rated competitor, it became clear we are going a different direction for future needs. Anderson has great people from the sales rep who explained their various options to the crew who installed our system. We got bids from the other companies, and some offered slightly less expensive options, but Anderson came across as more professional. They worked with us by removing the existing system and waited several weeks while we took care of some mold remediation. Their installation crew made several improvements to our air return system and placement of a Wi-Fi digital thermostat. The new system is quieter and more efficient -- and just in time before our next heat wave.

Great job in replacing toilet flanges that had not been installed properly when the house was remodeled in 1993. It took a couple days to get it all scheduled and the parts available but it looks great and I was able to get the toilets that I wanted to replace seated properly. This company gave us the shortest wait time to Get the estimate and start work of the other companies that we contacted.

The customer service model this company provides in terms of providing pricing is outrageous. We had a dishwasher install and the price ended up being 2x what we paid for the dishwasher itself.
The sales model is similar to a time share. They get you onsite, then share the price after you've waited a week. If you are in a time crunch to get the work done, you have a choice- pay their fee or say no, pay a service charge, and then start from ground zero. General pricing ranges should be provided upfront with the disclaimer it is an estimate. If we had any idea it would have cost $1100 to replace our old dishwasher I would have surely gone elsewhere.
My advice: unless you're willing to roll the dice, go elsewhere.

Excellent service and value, highly recommend Anderson! I called them to clear a drain that another plumber, CSR, could not. The experience with Anderson was fantastic, from the initial call through the follow up. Chris Espinoza did an amazing job --fast, professional, helpful, and he even advised me on how to prevent future issues. Making the appointment was so easy and they fulfilled as promised every step of the way. The other plumber, CSR, quoted $700+ to clear the drain, but Anderson easily did it for $53. I will definitely call Anderson for future service.

Don't pay these guys until the job is complete, good work but lots of hangups, a guy fell through my ceiling, things did not get done when promised, they pumped insulation in my attic after the install, then insulation started coming out one of the vents, because they didn't replace the vent box as promised, So the old one pulled loose from the ductwork, they are supposed to replace it all in a couple of days, then I will send them the balance That I owe them. I wish I hadn't given them any money yet. I like the warranty 10 years parts and labor, thank God for that because I think they will be coming back more often

Awful experience with Anderson Plumbing and their questionable charges/estimates. They insisted upon charging $42 to come out and do an estimate. OK fine. But then the plumber arrived and estimated an amount that was 2 1/2 times more than anyone else. The Anderson guy then took a cash payment. Refused to make change. They had a great phone reservation system that promises to Wow you. I thought I would be wow'ed in a positive fashion. Instead I left the experience thinking Wow what a rip off.

First off our problem. It's end of Aug and beginning of Sep 2020. It's hitting over 100 here in Scripps Poway area. Our AC unit went out. Schedule an appointment. It was within 7-9 days of scheduling as I figured everyone in San Diego with a non working unit was trying to get an appointment. It was a hot few days, but we managed.

I had the pleasure to meet Michael. He is very polite, professional and the amount of knowledge he has is amazing. He taught me a lot about the AC unit, how they worked, what to look for as a home owner, recommendations, and was able to diagnose the problem quickly. He resolved the issue in no time. He gave me options to the problem which was helpful.

The issue was the capacitor which got replaced and added I think a booster to allow the unit to work better when it's hot. The unit started and was loud which I thought was normal. He showed me how the fans needed to be balanced. Before I know it the unit is pretty much silent and working great.

I can't not be more pleased with the work done and the professionalism. I can remember what he said to me before he left. His 3 rules for everything: treat the home like it's my own, give info/knowledge that is beneficial to the home owner, and treat everyone like it's their mom. What a great and knowledgeable guy.

I will for sure be recommending this business and especially Michael to help with any AC issues to my family and friends.

Called them for a kitchen drain clog. Website mentioned $69. Responded quickly, however once at my home said the $69. But the cost to manage the water flow from the sink due to clog would be $300. Called another company that did this for $79. No issues on the water that is bound to flow out once the clog is cleared.

Suffering through a clogged kitchen sink during quarantine is frustrating to say the least. Huge thanks the Anderson Plumbing and Josue in particular for getting things back to normal. Booking was simple and they even called 45 minutes before the technician arrived. Josue was professional and personable. He provided me with an upfront estimate, including worst-case scenario since my condo has a complicated setup, $53 - $240. He attempted snaking the line without any luck so I prepared myself for the worst, but he said he would try one more option before disassembling the pipes. Josue ran downstairs to his truck for a shop-vac and then next thing I know...good news, the pipes were unclogged. Oh and the best part, it only cost $53! Thank you Josue and Anderson's for being efficient, honest and effective!

The best experience I've had. I've used all of the SD big 3: Bill Howe, ASI, and Anderson and while they each of mostly good workers - Anderson's had all good workers! They stood up to a very big job, that went south on them, they came back 3 times and never charged anymore even for equipment that had to be switched out. They stuck to their original estimate. It was impressive. And the guys are easy to have around.

I have used Anderson Plumbing in the past so it was a simple decision who to call for help in an emergency: We found a large leak in the house water supply line (coming into the house from the meter) . I knew it wasn't going to be simple so I called the best and they came out within hours and started to fix the problem. The plumber who helped us was Joshua and we were so happy he was there. He was professional and reassuring that everything would be ok. He worked with the S.D. City water department to get them out to turn the water off at the meter.and had the problem fixed within the day. The job was clean and I felt we were good for another 50 years with the parts he used. Yes, it was an expensive job but I felt a reasonable fee for the service provided.
I recommend them for any job - either plumbing or sewer line.

We had to replace our HVAC system. I called Anderson plumbing and HVAC. scheduled an appointment. The Staff, Scheduling, sales, installers, and dry wall repair team were always on time with the window of appointment. I received a text and or a call when they were on their way. The quote was a bit higher then the quotes I had received but I must tell you that after the installation the cost included the third party inspector and the City inspector whh is required by law if and when you need to sell your home. The inspections would have been an extra cost with the other companies but with Anderson it is all inclusive. The staff at Anderson assisted with all of the Scheduling, so grateful We deci to go with Anderson. As some of the other companies did not even call us back to get a quote. I highly recommend this quality provider. It is peace of mind The Whole Job Was Done Right!

If I could give them 20 stars I would. Blake, Troy and Will did an amazing job. Blake and Troy worked so hard under horrible conditions and went over and above the work they needed to do. My husband has health conditions and they helped us every way possible. Will got us an air conditioner to use while ours was down, he explained everything they were doing along the way, they had great recommendations to solve other issues we had. Incredibly disappointing experience..i contacted them and told them I needed new water heater and installation. The rep could not and would not answer a question as to whether I was responsible for sourcing my own water heater for their installation or whether they would provide. Basic question. Refused to find out for me and said they could only make an appointment and talk to the tech then. I wrote customer service and shocker: zero response. Despite the massive ad campaign, first impressions count and they lost my business in perpetuity.

Anderson is responsive on weekends which is a huge plus. I had an issue with my rental unit. They update you and let you know when they are on their way. And they send a brief bio of who you should expect to show up.
The bad: they quoted me $700 to reset a toilet and $2200 to replace a closet bend. They told me it was an ALL day job to justify the cost.

I called around and other plumbers quoted me 600-800. I called to let them know what other plumbers quoted me and they offered to reduce the cost to 1650.

The job took my plumber 45 mins to complete. I would never recommend a company that wants to rip me off so bad.

Have to say that this was a very good experience. We have actually used Anderson 2 or 3 times over the last few years. Depends on the guy that gets there. Once we had a guy that did two drains (when we really needed only one - so we had to pay double). then recommended a replacement toilet for like $800 to $1200. Once before, my wife had a guy that was awesome - got her all fixed and didn't try to up-sell or any of that.

Today, I called a couple other companies that were more expensive and they couldn't get out till maybe tomorrow or the next day. Anderson was less than 1/2 hour (and I didn't call till like 1:30 or 2:00!). The guy was there before I could get back from an errand! He had us fixed really quickly. Gave me a good tip for making that toilet work well. And he was a great guy to boot. I will have to edit and add his name but this was a great experience and I am a happy customer. Good price with nothing extra.

So, it all started with a clogged drain in the bathroom sink. I can fix it with Drano - I thought! Well, it ends up that my a/c unit has a condensation pipe that feeds to the same drain. Long-story-short, the a/c condensation backed up, leaked all over the hard floors blah blah blah. I called Anderson, they came out the same day. And tah-dah!! All fixed! Since they were on-site, I also had a new garbage disposal installed (I requested this on my initial call). Jorge was a gem! Super nice, very knowledgeable, met my very shy cat for a brief 3 seconds. All in all, Anderson and Jorge are the best!

Called at the beginning of November to have someone come out and give an estimate for a new AC and furnace. Female customer service seemed to question ownership of the property for some reason. After she spoke with a supervisor for whatever reason, 5 minutes later she schedules me for an appointment 3 weeks later!!! WTF.
Yesterday I was called for a follow up on the appointment and was told that there was no reason for a 3 week wait and that someone could of possibly came out the day I called.
Its unfortunate because I called 3 other companies for estimates and all were within 2 to 3 days. I did install a new AC and furnace and still cant figure out what the hell the female customer service reps issue was. Good luck.

They came out 3 separate times and did not fix my clogged tub. The supervisor came out and misdiagnosed the issue. They wanted to charge me 969.00 for not fixing it. The next day they said I would be on the schedule for the morning. I specifically called at 9am to get confirmation that they would be out in the morning since no one called me and I had some place to be at 2pm that afternoon. I got confirmation that I was in fact on the schedule for the morning. Noon comes and passes. I call. Apparently I was bumped to the afternoon without a call to let me know. The customer service representative tried to find someone to find out why. No one was available. He sent an email to call me back. No one called and no one came all day. Luckily I called another plummer who came out right away, snaked my drain and cleared the clog in minutes. Cost me 98.00 total. Had I waited for Anderson to come my drain would be clogged for another who knows how long. This issue had been going on since last Sunday when they started trying to fix this. So much for 40 years of experience. Thank God I did not pay them. Horrible customer service to solve this and capture a potential long term customer. First and last time I use them. I guess they have so much business and money that my business did not matter. Thanks for the headache guys!!

I would NEVER recommend Anderson's Plumbing. Not only did they nickel and dime me to death, it took two men 9.5 hours to replace two toilets. The WOW factor was the Final cost over $3000.00 they wanted to charge and extra $1000.00 to replace a flange. I looked up the cost of the flange $30.00, toilet was already off so where's the additional cost?
I called to talk to a manager, they said someone would call me in 24-48 hours. Still waiting over a week for that calI. I quickly spread the word at work don't EVER use Anderson, unless you are prepared to get ripped off and horrible service.
I was totally taken advantage off.

Had been having issues with my water in my bathtub not draining for a couple weeks now until finally it stoped draining & was starting to get filled up. Did a few quotes on Yelp & this company was the most affordable & had a special going on! Was skeptical at first to be honest but was glad I picked them.

A few years ago we went with Anderson to install Air Conditioning and all new duct work. We have had issues since and were guaranteed work. We have had 4 different technicians and 2 warranty technicians come out to review and were told the design of the duct work was poorly done. We had to pay an additional $400 try to fix the issue. We were finally told that to fix our issue we would have to purchase a split for another $6,000. Ridiculous!
We tried to call the warranty technician and was told he left and that Anderson did not have a warranty department. I do not recommend Anderson for this type of work, it has been a non stop headache.

I have used Anderson 39 times in the last 21 yrs. My 1966 house has had major plumbing problems because of the old cast iron pipes. They have replaced or lined all the pipes from both bathrooms & the mainline to the street, where there was major root intrusion from my neighbor's hedge. Now hopefully, the cast iron pipes from the kitchen & garage can last a while longer before they need to be replaced. Look for the great deals they offer on their website or receive them via texts and/or emails. I have never had any problems with their work & have encountered numerous employees who have gone above & beyond to get you the best deals possible.

I needed a new water heater and called Anderson Plumbing since I've had good service from them in the past. Samuel Marquez and Justin Moreau were the technicians who came to my home. They were professional, friendly, courteous, respectful of my home and most importantly, very knowledgeable in their field. My water heater looks great, heats great and since I signed up for the VIP membership, Anderson Plumbing will service my water heater on a regular basis. That is one less thing for me to worry about. I've never drained a water heater in my life, and now I'm happy to know that it will be looked after as it should be. I recommend Anderson Plumbing because they are so professional and very responsive to your needs.

Good service, although pricing seems to be on the high side. My shower was making a loud banging noise when the handle was turned close to the midpoint. The first three or four plumbers I called were all booked for more than ten days, but Anderson was able to send someone out the next day. The technician, Donny, was very professional and up front, and explained everything clearly. The shower problem was diagnosed as a bad cartridge. The technician went out to procure a replacement and did the repair.

All in, it cost $555, which as noted seems to be on the high side for this type of job, according to the Internet. But they were able to send someone out and the other places I called weren't, and they were clear enough about the pricing -- I don't feel like I was tricked. Their communications in general are very good, and I also appreciate that they showed up early in the appointment window instead of 30 minutes after.

I have used Anderson for many jobs and am very disappointed with the last one. We needed a bathroom faucet replaced. I purchased the new Moen faucet with all necessary hardware - so the job was purely labor. Remove the old faucet - install the new one. I was quoted $710 for the job. I was stunned, but since I've trusted Anderson many times before with good results, I went ahead and accepted - my mistake. The plumber did a very good job removing the old faucet and replacing it with the new - I have no complaints about the work - BUT.... I couldn't help thinking that I was being ripped off at that price. Imagine my surprise when after a little research I discovered that I'd paid roughly THREE TIMES the going rate for this job. It is my fault for foolishly accepting the bid - but it's unfortunate that I can no longer trust Anderson for my plumbing needs. Lesson learned - always do your homework before trusting a plumbing company.

*Edit - I was contacted (promptly I might add) about this situation and a resolution is in progress. I'm still unhappy that this happened, but I am impressed with Andersons quick action and resolution. They will still have to earn my trust in the future, but now I believe they deserve the chance. I'm increasing my star rating to 3 (ok). I will repeat that I am happy with the work itself - Anderson has always done a good job for me which is why I always call them.

Anderson was given the usual 4 HOUR WINDOW to come and provide service. As noon approached, I called them to get a status and was told they may not be there by noon. Since I had already waited all morning, I asked when I could expect them-I was told they did not know. I called again at 12:15 and asked again when I could expect someone. We do not know. Since I was never given another status update by Anderson's I finally went to walk my dog at 1:30. Apparently, they arrived at 2:00. Apparently, they left without doing the work. Consider this company if you like waiting half a day and nobody showing up.

To have the thermocoupling replaced on my hot water heater it cost $480! Found out other places it's about half that price! I told them before they came that's what it was, so no genius involved in that. It took about 25 minutes to do $48 in part... got totally ripped off. And they were so late in their arrival... very disappointed!!!! No likes feeling ripped off!
Home Advisor says it should be no more than $150 labor and $48 for the part. I called a five star Plummer and his quote was $180-$220...I guess they are laughing their way to the bank! My fault for thinking they were a reputable business... not a ripoff business! I paid 150% higher!!!

We has out A/C unit installed by this company nine years ago. The unit still works just fine.

Scheduled the check up of the A/C unit yesterday. The scheduler, Daniel, was very courteous and accommodating, and we've able to schedule a service for the next day.

The technicians - Ben and Loui - came today, on time, were very thorough, checked up everything, cleaned the unit, shared the feedback, showed the pictures of troubled spots, gave an advice about maintenance.

Our bathrooms both flooded and we needed help asap because the toilets wouldn't flush. I called and made an appointment and Tony was here 35 minutes after the call.

Tony was poised and professional. Everything was well explained at a pace anyone would be able to understand.

We weren't able to remove the blockage from the clean out, and Tony suspected that we'd be able to get to it from the toilet. He was right.

We called Anderson plumping on a Monday and Chris was at our home to unclog our sink drain. This was not you typical clog as someone accidentally dumped about a pound of dry rice and tried to wash it through the garbage disposal. Instant clog and water made it even worse. Chris new exactly what to do and had our drain working in no time. He was responsive, courteous, professional and knowledgeable. He even advised use of what is not recommended to be put down the disposal. We've lived in our home since it was new in 1984 and we have never needed a plumber until this mistake on our part. This company does a great job with the customer service from my experience. For starters, they'll let you know 30-45 minutes when they are on their way to your house. And you can even track them as they are making their way to your home.

They recently installed a brand new HVAC system and their expertise in air conditioning is top notch, and knowing exactly what type of furnace and condensor unit to use for our size house.

They are friendly, professional and they had no hesitation with wearing shoe covers and masks inside our home. Great job!

We had, what we thought, was a routine clog and so we called the after hours line to make sure we could get an appointment for the next morning. A technician named Syn came out the next morning and was kind, courteous, and took his time explaining the problem to us. It turned out to be a much larger problem than we anticipated. I panicked. My partner and I have had a few very tough months and this was the last thing we needed. Syn took everything in stride and helped us figure out what we needed to do to move forward without losing the remaining bits of my sanity. We needed this. A plan was made and the problem was fixed. We paid a very reasonable fee and they were exceptionally clean. I can't thank Syn and this company enough for turning a traumatic situation into something manageable. They have a customer for life, and I'll sing their praises forever.

Michael came to my home to do an annual drain check. He has been here before and is always professional and efficient. No real problems today, but he did notice a slightly bent pipe under my kitchen sink which was making the drain slow. He fixed it quickly. He snaked the main drain and checked all of plumbing. I had called Anderson Plumbing to replace a kitchen faucet.
The plumber came, looked at the faucet that I had purchased and gave me a written quote to change out the faucet. The quote amounted to 870.00.
Since this was so ridiculously expensive, I asked the plumber if this was a joke. He said the quote came from the main office. I sent him away. I found another company that came out and spent about a half an hour doing the job and charged me 40.00.
I can not imagine how a major company that claims nobody wows clients like they do, could be so corrupt. They wowed me alright. This is the worst case of grossly over charging that I have ever experienced.

Came to my house Iwanted my hot water heater flushed Which would've been $79 and I ended up with a $1100 bill they added a new Spicket they forgot to turn the pilot back or reheat the water-heater I had to get a high-pressure water valve which wasn't needed They quoted me $800 and change and I ended up with another $600 fee because They forgot to add on a water heatersvalve Which I had replaced a year before that they came into my house to get my heater checked out and it ended up would've cost me $25,000 and it needed only a thermostat on the heater replaced might've been old and it probably needed to be replaced but I wasn't gonna put out $25,000 but I just wanted it inspected they did a asbestos test which I didn't need they asked to put in a new Vents which I didn't need because I had another company come in and gave me a quote and it said I didn't need any of that I didn't need new ducks I didn't new new vents and I didn't need a new air conditioning unit so be careful if you get these people in your house they're going to try to get you for everything you got

I called and asked if they could come after 2 or 3 the scheduler told me that's not how their apts work it's either 8-12 or 12- until end day ! So obviously they won't be flexible with me. Have used Anderson for literally decades for all my AC needs and am a VIP customer with two VIP accounts to have both our AC units and 2 tankless water heaters serviced yearly. Their customer service is exemplary and why their prices are so high.

HOWEVER, This review is not based on those past experiences with them.

Recently, they put a camera thru my 100 year old sewer lines and found it was time to replace or line all of it. Part of the job required four 2' X 2' holes in the drywall which I was assured they would fix. It's been two months and I still have these plastic and blue tape covered holes. Not the sort of service I expect from them.

As far as their pricing goes, every time I think OK, I'll get an estimate from them for a faucet or toilet issue I am astonished at their crazy prices. Most recently, I was quoted $600 to reseat a toilet and replace the wax ring. This is a $200 to $250 job by the majority of plumbers. I don't have a gold plated toilet that would require exemplary service to reseat and wax rings are about $3.

Their pricing structure should be flexible enough to accommodate the fact that sometimes a Toyota will do the same job as a Rolls Royce.

Anderson Plumbing wasn't the first place I called, but other places would not help me. Anderson Plumbing's customer service was so nice and told me she could get someone out, no problem. Jim Partridge and Matt Struman came out and from the moment they entered my home, I knew I was in great hands. Not only did they fix my leak, they fixed a number of other plumbing issues I had on my list. Had a blocked toilet that I had just paid a private plumber for just 4 days earlier. Plumber wanted to charge me to come out and needed to rent expensive equipment. Andersen came out on a Sunday, no charge to come out ( Roto Rooter quoted $150 to come out during regular hours and an extra $78 for after hours)
They said I needed a camera inspection so no charge until they fix it and then only $67 with a smile , kindness and excellent customer service. I will definitely recommend to everyone!

Awful about sums it up. In addition to making the mistake of allowing them to come on Sunday when no manager was available, it ruined my day waiting. In short, they quoted an outrageous $500 for two flappers and a toilet water fill. Parts are about fifty dollars and the tech said he'd be an hour....how the heck you get to $500, I give up. So the tech called the office but came back with $420...seriously?! I tried to talk to a manager, but no one would respond. they said they'd have the manager call Monday. Big surprise, no call. Save your money as I think they enjoy keeping the service fee and not doing the work. Anyone's guess how they stay in business.

Plumbing problems can be difficult and even expensive to fix. We had 50 year old, cast iron pipes, that backed up every month or two. We finally called Anderson for an estimate on cleaning out the cast iron pipes and lining them with fiberglass. They found that our 3 1/2 inch pipes were now closer to 1 1/2 inches in functional diameter. UGH! Halle came, reviewed, took measurements, and gave us an estimate to reline the main drain. It wasn't cheap, but doable. The next day the work began by opening concrete to access the necessary pipes. Emilio was particularly polite and effective at dealing with the problem and with us. Once open, cameras were inserted to be sure where the work needed to be done. The next day, another truck of skilled plumbers arrived and they used their equipment to route out the pipes to nearly the original 3 1/2 inches, and the lining material was inserted and set in place. Testing the flow took place several times. Once the relining was completed, Luis and his crew began to replace other pipes and junctions within the wall to make everything work together. Then, just as we were about to declare the job done, the showers and toilets backed up again. Quickly Anderson responded to locate the difficulty and correct that problem. Finally the job was complete, warranted, and everything was put back as if nothing had ever happened, but we knew otherwise. Our drain issues were over. We had better than the original situation drain wise. Halle returned to seal the deal, sign the bills and warranties, and conclude the project. These guys were gentlemen and skilled professionals throughout. This is what you would want when the need arises. We even got to look at the camera shots to see the finished product. We would recommend Anderson Plumbing for sure.

Update:
Erin, Anderson's Client Relations Manager reached out via email and explained their policy of flat rate per type of the job. She offered 15% off on the water pressure regulator job and removed the charge for accessing the valve. While I recognize the effort to provide good customer care (along with multiple text, email and phone call asking for feedback) I cannot say I'm remotely happy about this flat rate charge that's 3-4 time higher than being reasonable.

Anderson Plumbing's charge is absurdly high! I had a technician come to fix a leaky waterline going into the fridge. while doing that he also found the water pressure was high and I agreed to have the water pressure regulator replaced.

He had to cut a small hole on the drywall to access the pipe, which took him 30 seconds, and the charge is $323. Note this is only for cutting the hole, not including any repair work, and they will not fix the drywall afterwards. The actual repair work of replacing the water supply line's connection valve is another $323, which I'm ok with, since at least the technician spent 30 minutes on it.

The most ridiculous one is the $1,485 charge for replacing the water pressure regulator. The part is $180 according to the technician, and it's a quick job taking him literally less than 10 minutes using only a plumbers plier. I found out afterwards a reasonable cost for this should be in the $300 range including the part, and feel quite bad not doing enough research and being an informed customer beforehand. I wish everyone else considering calling them have the chance to read the reviews beforehand and be aware of their practice of overcharging to an outrageous extent.

I do agree that it was easy for me to make the appointment, and the technician came on time and finished the job quickly in a professional manner. But I'd not be able to recommend their services to anyone due to their extremely unreasonably high cost.

I woke up to water coming out from underneath my kitchen floor (eek!). I called Anderson, who arranged someone to come to my house that day. I was really pleased with the communication and update on timing. The technician they sent (Josh) seemed extremely knowledgeable and was friendly and explained everything to us. Based on his experience, he suggested we skip an expensive ($800) leak diagnostic, as he was sure we had a slab leak and needed to re-pipe the entire house (approx $20k). I never engage in housework without a second opinion, and had another plumber come out the next day. This plumber looked around a bit, moved our fridge and found a leak from the hose going into the fridge. He patched it on the spot (total cost $75). Be careful not to let Anderson's sales techniques get to you- always get a second opinion!

The appointment scheduling was the efficient and quick end even on a Sunday morning. Follow up communication was excellent with text messages and phone calls. Ample notice of arrival.
The plumber Josue was efficient at quickly diagnosing the main drain blockage backing up my toilet, shower and bathtub. He go his big power drain snake out and set right to work on the blockage. It took several passes to clear but he didn't give up and finally got it cleared. To everyone's applause and great appreciation. He did great. 5 star. Very reasonable price. Definitely first class. Completely satisfied and pleased.

Against our better judgement we used Anderson Plumbing for the 2nd time. Such a major disappointment in so many ways. Tech came out to the home and told us we needed a new water heater. We paid a $49.00 service fee and a $7.00 flue charge for them to come out to the house. We were told we would receive a receipt and estimate for the new water heater needed. The repair tech took our email address and contact info. We wanted to get the job done, but two days later we still have not had any emails come through from Anderson Plumbing. So I call and explain the situation to the rep answering the call. Her response is we have no email for you on file I told her that it was given to the repair tech and then I said if you don't have a contact for us why didn't someone pick up the phone and call us?' I said good way to piss off your customers before they have even reviewed an estimate! Fast forward - we did receive an estimate to replace the existing water heater - 40 gallon - and remove the old. $3600.00. This company is so off the mark on their prices!! Maybe if the owner Mary Jean would do a few less commercials her prices would be a bit more reasonable! We got the job done with another company for $2400.00. BIG DIFFERENCE!

My tankless water heater stopped working after a power outage and I had no idea what to do. I went to the Anderson Plumbing website and was easily able to start chatting with a representative. Once it seemed like they would be able to help me, I called them up and within minutes was speaking to a live person who was so knowledgeable and helpful in getting a tech scheduled to come to my house. In just over an hour, I had a call alerting me that a tech, Fernando, was on his way to my house, followed by a text message with a personal introduction from Fernando, which I found to be a pleasant surprise, as I haven't seen a business do that before and I really liked. Also in the text was a link to a map where I could see how far away he was and anticipate his arrival.
Once he arrived, Fernando and the other tech with him (I forgot his name - sorry!) were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and patient.
My entire experience with Anderson Plumbing was 5 stars across the board! At every step of the way, they are truly dedicated to providing top-notch 5-star service to each customer and it shows. I will definitely be using them for all of my plumbing and HVAC needs in the future!

I recently called this company for repeat service at one of my properties only to be told by a very young Hispanic male (18-21 years old) that my account was flagged. Then, he placed me on hold for several minutes, returned to the line, & abruptly said, Don't call us anymore! and hung up the phone. I've never had a more unprofessional and disrespectful experience with a corporation in my entire life. I was genuinely curious why he would say such an outlandish thing, so I called back thinking it was some sort of prank.

This time, I spoke with a female employee who tried to find out why my account was flagged. She stayed on the phone with me for nearly 30 minutes trying to investigate and read the notes in the computer for all of my previous service call requests. She even consulted with management, but she couldn't provide an answer for what was going on. I asked her if it was something that one of my tenants potentially did at one of my properties, but all that she could provide me with was a phone number to speak with a Supervisor. She transferred me and advised me to leave a voicemail, and she said that she would leave a note to have a Supervisor call me back. However, no one ever called me back... So much for the pink glove treatment. It is more like the Jerry Springer treatment!

Unlike their comment below Anderson Plumbing is not resolving anything. I've left a dozen messages with management and client services Erin and NO ONE HAS CALLED ME BACK!!! SINCE BEFORE THANKSGIVING!!! I've called and left a dozen messages and everyone is either out to lunch or somehow out of office. No one has contacted me and no one is resolving any issue. Our AC was not pushing out cold air during this horrible heat wave and we called to have it looked at and fixed. Anderson Plumbing took days and days to get someone out and we were told it had to be replaced and someone would come look at it again later that same day. Nobody called or showed up that day. We called the next morning and they couldn't fit us in as it was the weekend and we had to wait until Wednesday. Come Wednesday, someone came only to take photos for 10 minutes and we were told they might be able to install a new unit Monday or Tuesday when we were promised it would be replaced today. This is horrendous customer service in my opinion. I understand it is a busy time but they should have fixed their own mistake as soon as possible and now it will be over two weeks for us to get cold air.

The technician was just a little late; but, courteous with mask and credentials in hand. Now the below did concern me; but, with it being an emergency repair @ 4pm yesterday I did not have time to shop around.

But; as a 62 year old senior citizen with my senior citizen and retired military (43 years of service) discount applied by the Anderson Plumbing Technician; I was surprised at the $964.00 charge to remove (unsweat) and (braze) one foot of one inch copper pipe and two fittings.

With the arrival of the technician to departure being approximately 90 minutes; that comes to $600+ dollars a hour for labor. Now; that did seem quite expensive especially with the previous two discounts applied.

The two stars are for the overall quality of work; but, at $600 an hour you would expect that I believe.

Not only did they do the repairs I needed, but went out of their way to check on the water heater another company had installed. Although they were polite and pleasant he broke the drain in my tub requiring a $400 repair when he was hired to fix a slow draining tub He then offered to snake the sink in my master bath for free but broke the drain assembly which I then had to replace as well Coincidence maybe or clumsiness. I've not used my garbage disposal for over two years and wanted to take it out and replace with pipes (no new disposal).

After reading about doing this myself online, I decided to call a plumber - despite many online warnings of price-gouging. Plumbers themselves stated that such a basic job should not cost more than $200 - about $25 for parts and an hour labor.

A plumber representing Anderson came out and bid $497 - a total rip-off! - and I informed them I thought that was ridiculous and refused service.

The plumber was considerate and stated that he understood, but was obligated to offer such a quote for his employer.

Given the number of reviews stating these kinds of problems, I would search for another plumbing service ( I did, and got the job done for under $200).

We had a shower drain that was clogged. Called Anderson today and they had a technician out in about two hours. The tech (Charles) was professional and very helpful. He quickly resolved the issue and explained the process. He made some good recommendations for future consideration. Recently had a kitchen sink and line cleared. The clog was significant and handled by the Plumber Mike H. What was even more notable is Mike's knowledge and customer service skills. Over 300% the national average price to replace a shower cartridge.

Shower Cartridge: Anderson: $ 662; National Average: $210

Additionally, their cost for temperature spindle replacement (alone) is $1,456.

I informed the manager, that prices which are 300% higher than the national average was alarming to me, and that she might want to look into it. The manager assured me that she is really comfortable with their pricing. She informed me that Anderson's prices are aligned with Bill Howe, and ACI.

Is price fixing unlawful?

I went to a small business, and am quoted $500, including the spindle and cartridge.

This company is an absolute JOKE!!!!! They advertise 53.00 dollars or FREE drain cleaning. REALLY? My kitchen sink is clogged. I called Anderson today, July 14th, 2020, to unclog my kitchen sink. I got excited when I received a call that the plumber is in my neighborhood and will be coming shortly instead of tomorrow morning. Well, the plumber came, examined my clogged sink, then started blurting out it'll be 193.00 because he has to remove/replace the pipes to unclog the drain. I have PVC pipes. They're very easy to remove/replace, and no tools required. I said ok, but when I asked what's the warranty, the plumber said NO WARRANTY. REALLY? When I asked the plumber why, he said there's no warranty. I then told him I want to call his company to find out why there's no warranty. I was on the phone talking to someone in the office, and the next thing I see is the plumber leaving. SOOOO RUDE!!!! Then to add to that issue, the office lady couldn't tell me what the company policy on warranty. She then said I don't know why he told you no warranty. I told her I'll have the job done, but I want warranty. That conversation went nowhere. The office lady put me on hold. She told me she'll try and locate one of the managers to talk to me, but came back to the phone and told me they'll call me tomorrow. She also told me I can send an email if I want.

BEWARE EVERYONE!!!! There are many plumbing businesses in San Diego. Stay away from Anderson's.
