Carlos was a pleasure to work with. He was wonderful with my family, even letting my 4year old help him, he was able to give me a great deal on the work I needed doing (replacing the pipes under my house) beating the other quotes I had, he worked over the weekend and kept me updated in arrival times when weather had put them behind schedule.
What a great family company - I have finally found our plumber! I would happily recommend them to anyone!

I think I figured out the MO for this company.  From reading the reviews you see a pattern.  When they show up they do a great job, but getting them to show up is the problem.  I phoned them in the morning and described the problem.  They said they'd get back to me at 1pm.  They didn't.  I called again at 4:30 and was asked to leave a message which I did.  I waited the next morning for a call which never came.  
I found another plumber who answered the phone, set an appointment, and cleared the pipes.  If you have too much business just call back and let us know.  It's professional.

I was not in my right mind when I thought it was okay to put grits down the garbage disposal. The sink instantly clogged up and the pipes started leaking! I called 805 Plumbing and spoke to Carlos. He was friendly and willing to help me ASAP. More importantly, he was honest and told me that he wouldn't be available to come fix my sink until the evening but I would be charged an after hours rate. I appreciate Carlos being so forthcoming about the after hours rate, he was trying to save me some money. Then he suggested the following morning and that was perfect. The next morning he texted me updates so I would know approximately when to expect him. That is great customer service and put me at ease to know that he hadn't forgot about my appointment to fix my kitchen sink. Anyway, he evaluated the problem, got the parts, and fixed it quite quickly! He also explained what he fixed and provided me a few suggestions. Thank you 805 Plumbing!!

We got in touch with Carlos from 805 and he was outstanding. He made time to help us when we needed someone in a timely manner. In addition to addressing a leak, he provided us with significant information about other plumbing matters. Carlos has 30 years of experience and it showed as he confidently and efficiently addressed our issue. I found Carlos to be easy going, enjoyable to speak with and very good at explaining things to the lay person. I highly recommend 805.

Excellent service again! Called Carlos to fix our bathroom sink after my hubby unsuccessfully fixed a leak. He came out asap and fixed it in under 30 minutes! Awesome.

I came home from work to discover that my precious little son try to flush some toys down the toilette. I had water everywhere !!!!!! I called 805 plumbing  and Carlos showed up in minutes. I wanted to thank the team at 805 plumbing. I had a problem at one of my rentals and after having 3 other plumbing company's come out, none of them were able to fix the problem. I called 805 plumbing and they were out the next morning they new exactly what was wrong and took care of the problem. Carlos to the rescue! It's Labor Day Weekend and of course disaster decides it's time to strike. A pipe burst in the crawl space of our home and water gushed for hours! Carlos was at our home within an hour of our call. He also helped us navigate our next steps. It took Carlos hours to locate all the necessary materials as many shops were closed as it was Sunday but after 3 or 4 stops he was able to collect what he needed to get the job done and returned promising me we would have our water back on the same day.  He did! Carlos was kind, respectful, knowledgeable and genuine. We would definitely recommend him.

I called them the day after Christmas in the afternoon and I was pleased that they would be able to help me that day.  We had a very bad drain problem, as someone had flushed a lot of wipes down the toilet that should have been discarded in the trash.  Carlos was able to get it cleared.  Carlos was personable, professional, and competent.  He explained what he was doing as he worked.  Will definitely call 805 the next time I have plumbing / drain problems.

I called this company multiple times to try to set an appointment to have someone fix something at my  house. The owner is very nice and told me he would come to look at it before the end of the weekend one time, and then, naother time, by the end of the day. Never heard from him either time, finally contacted him one third time and never heard back. i wanted to work with these guys, but I guess they didn't want to work with me!

We had a flood at our house and Carlo's was amazing, the repairs were done quickly and professionally and he helped me with the insurance company and remediation company. I can't express how much I appreciated his expertise during the difficult situation.

805 plumbing has the best customer service I have yet to experience when dealing with plumbing issues. Carlos installed my water heater and brought it to Code. He was very quick and reliable in his service. He is so polite and explains everything thoroughly and his work is perfect. He gives the best deal Possible and gets the job done quickly.

I had a sewer pipe break in my house and Carlos came to the rescue.  He did an amazing job at a very affordable rate.  Carlos was very professional as well as efficient in his work. I had water pipe leaking in craw space yesterday evening.  I called this company and they said they could come out 8am next day.  They ask my phone number and address.  This morning I texted two messages reminding appointment at 7:30am, then called two time at 8:15am left them messages that if they can not come please let me know.  No response, and did not show up for appointment.

I had an awful experience with another local plumbing company ., I was recommended to Carlos from 805 plumbing by a few others hands down Carlos 805 team did an amazing job I called him frantic immediately Carlos and his team came to my home ., he answered all my questions took care of my plumbing leaks the same day got to work within 2.5 hours everything was done ., great affordable price ., great service San Diego area highly recommend..

The owner was able to respond to me within 7 hours of this review but can not return a text or call?  To say that I am nagging proves your lack of professionalism. Communication goes a long way. I was not having any sink issues until after my shower repair. It is obviously connected. All I was requesting was help with this new problem. Instead of being defensive, a little empathy goes a long way. I will take this experience as a lesson learned as should you!

My shower head was dripping and my old school 3 knobs on my shower weren't tightening. He came out and replaced my old 3 knobs to 1 knob and replaced shower head. No more leaky knobs! Yay!! Fast forward a couple of months. My son pointed out that since the replacement of my shower knobs, now my sink is giving out a weird smell and the left handle doesn't produce any hot water or any water at all. I called him and brought this to his attention. He was in the middle of a job so he asked me to text. No response. I called and no answer. Disappointed with the communication and service provided. I do not recommend.

Carlos was very friendly, professional, and considerate about following social distancing. I called him about a leak and he was able to come within an hour for an estimate. He genuinely wanted to make sure that I was taken of and charged a reasonable price. I highly recommend.

Due to several copper pipe leaks in our walls over the past few years, we opted to have our entire house re-piped. I got several bids, and 805 was well under the other local companies. Carlos arrived on time, he was knowledgeable, fast and efficient and the quality of work was excellent. He went above and beyond, and even fixed a leak in the water heater for no additional charge. I highly recommend this company and will definitely use them again

We had back flow into our bathrooms and Carlos, the owner, answered right away (which is more than I can say about the other places I called), diagnosed the problem right away over the phone, came over within 15 hours, communicated with me regularly over text when he was a little delayed from a previous job that morning, was friendly, polite, & genuine, give me advice on how to prevent the problem from happening again, and fixed it 100%. I would absolutely recommend this company and use it again If I should need any plumbing issues in the future.

I had no hot water for the second time in a month. My landlord had called her plumber the first time and he took care of the problem.  When it happened again last Monday, I contacted my landlord and she told me that a new water heater would be delivered the next day (her plumber had told her that it needed replacement). Well, that same evening, I received a notice of foreclosure on the property. The next day as you might have guessed, I didn't receive a new water heater. I have the worst landlord (i have stories), but knowing this, I realized that there was a better chance of Taylor Swift waking up one day with talent than my landlord worry about my no hot water situation. I definitely needed to take care of it myself. Since I'm a tenant and am also about to be out of my house, spending a whole lot of money is not an option.

I found 805 here on Yelp. I called Carlos and explained that i needed my water heater fixed to work at least 60 days. So he came over and proceeded to light the pilot. He tested it a couple times and it remained lit. He explained why it may have not remained lit before and what I probably did wrong when I tried to light it. He only charged me for the service call, which was minimal. I will recommend him to my friends who are looking for plumber services. I'm writing this review seven days after I had no hot water, the landlord hasn't called me, thinks I still don't have hot water, and probably doesn't give a rats butt.

Fantastic job!! Twice now we've used Carlos at 805 Plumbing and both times he has gone above and beyond to help us. Most recent was this week - we woke up to find a burst outdoor pipe leading to a hose bib spraying water all over our side yard. Called Carlos and within 2 hours he was at our house and working on the repair. The repair was tricky and he needed to head out to the hardware two different times because the plumber who originally installed it had done a poor job, but Carlos fixed it!!

The first time we used Carlos was 3 years ago and I should have reviewed him then - my bad!  We had a water leak in our kitchen and it ruined our hardwood floors. The pipe had a slow leak and had been leaking for 3 days before we saw it and by that time the floors were were ruined and we just needed the water to stop so we could begin ripping up the floors. Carlos arrived and repaired the leak and by that time it was 6PM. He was getting ready to leave, our house was a mess, and my young daughter came out of our garage and said she thought she heard water running in the garage. Carlos walks in the garage with me and our water heater had also developed a leak! Carlos calmly went out to his truck to get his tools again, went to Home Depot to buy us a new water heater, and installed it that night so we would be able to have hot water again! Superb customer service and we will definitely be using Carlos for all of our future plumbing needs!

My mom had a leak in her bath tub and definitely wanted a good Plummer. We heard about 805 plumbing from a friend. We're sure glad we listened! Carlos and his workers were amazing guys with great prices and very quick! They re did my moms whole bathroom to pristine condition. Couldn't be happier with out new shower and tile. Don't go to those big plumbing companies that'll charge you an arm and a leg! Give 805 the job to do it RIGHT!

My plumbing overflowed into my front yard during my housewarming party!  I called Carlos and he was there within minutes.  Turns out plumbing from 1928 and tree roots in the pipes do not mix.  Carlos worked all weekend to make sure I had working plumbing.  He replaced all of the pipes down to the street and made sure everything else was clear, all for a great price.  He was very professional and up front with all of the options and worked around my schedule to get the job done as quickly as possible.  I highly recommend this company!

Carlos is quick to respond, knowledgeable, and he does an excellent job maintaining quality while saving cost. We are very satisfied with the plumbing he did for us in our bathroom. Carlos couldn't have been nicer, honest and more accommodating.  He worked with me with scheduling the same day appointment around my work commitments. When the plumbing issue could not be replicated despite his tireless attempts, he didn't charge us since he didn't do any work. The issue has also not reoccurred since!.  I would absolutely use Carlos for any plumbing needs in the future.

Carlos came out to help us on a Saturday morning, with just a few hours notice. We had some roots that got into our main service line, which caused water backup in one of our bathroom toilets. Let's just say that bathroom floor was flooded with some not-so-great smelling water, and we could not use any water in the house until the issue was resolved.

Carlos was extremely professional, and immediately diagnosed and explained the problem great detail. Quick fix, and our water was back up and running smoothly in no time. He even gave some valuable tips on preventative measures we can take now, to avoid similar issues in the future.

Carlos is great! Needed to get rid of old plastic piping and replaced with copper piping. Carlos took a week to do the job just as he had mentioned and we are happy with the result. Very nice guy and workmanship was top notch. Would recommend again. This guy knows his stuff, great plumber, called him for this job because was so impressed when he came to fix a leak I had about 3 weeks earlier.

So you need a plumber and here you are on Yelp hating that you have to pick someone at random on the recommendation of a stranger. I have been there!

I picked 805 plumbing at random, because it was a plumber in my neighborhood. I'm so glad I did. Carlos and his crew are legit and do outstanding work. It never fails that when you get into the plumbing of your house, you discover awful things about slip-shod construction and poorly done repairs from before you owned the place. This has been the case for us, unfortunately and Carlos has uncovered some truly disheartening things about my house.

Each time, while my heart is still stuck in my throat as I contemplate what it will take to set it right, Carlos is already explaining the easiest, most cost-effective way to set it right and explaining how to ensure that they problem will be gone. And his repairs are rock solid. They will out live me. He had to rebuild the floor of my bathroom once and he had to cut away a major section of drywall, remove insulation and treat my beams for black mold. The work was ugly and grueling, but he didn't cut corners--he just got it done. Fast, clean, safe, solid. These are real guys who really know their trade. They live in the area and they want your family to be as safe and well cared for as their own. Call them. Email them. Leave a message if you have to, call back if you have to. They are the real deal and you'll be glad you're working with them because you'll know the work is being done right.

I have used 805 plumbing on numerous rental properties. They are always there to answer the call when an emergency pops up. I cannot tell you how many times they have saved me from having severe damage at rentals by getting there so quickly and figuring what's wrong. There prices are reasonable and the work is exceptional. The owner is always so nice and professional, I highly recommend using them if you have any plumbing needs.

Carlos and his team fixed a rather complicated issue with our bathroom pipes. He had to jackhammer through several inches of concrete and dig down into the dirt a few feet to find and fix the issue. He is obviously very experienced in dealing with the old pipes that are in so many of San Diego's neighborhoods. They went above and beyond, and worked closely with our insurance to solve the problem 100% and make sure the vast majority of the work was covered.

I'll definitely be calling Carlos the next time something inevitably fails in this old house.

We love Carlos from 805 Plumbing & Drains! We are not very trusting people, but Carlos was professional, reasonably priced, and reliable. Our drains had not been cleaned in more than 25 years, so we ran into a few issues. He took the time to explain the problem and to recommend preventative measures. He also cleaned and cleared our pipes within a couple of hours. We are very blessed to have found a trustworthy plumber. We look forward to working with them for all of our plumbing needs!

I had some issues at home with my drains backing up and I called 805 plumbing and explained my issue and Carlos was extremely knowledgeable and knew what my issue was. His company has a very quick response time and I appreciated that. The problem was fixed within an  hour !! I will definitely be using his services in the future!

We called Carlos one night when our toilet stopped flushing. I had noticed that water had been leaking out of the side of the house for a while, so we were really worried that this would be a major problem and cost a lot of money. He came over right away and was able to diagnose the issue very quickly. He explained what was going on and gave us a few options. He was great at explaining everything and calming us down in the process and luckily was able to resolve the problem without costing much at all.

We will call him in the future for any other issues we have because of how fast, friendly, and professional he was to deal with.

Carlos was an exceptional contractor.  I had my water heater replaced and Carlos was timely, cost effective, and courteous.  I would recommend him as he was communicative and reasonable. He came in under the estimate and left the area super clean.

Carlos was a lifesaver! We had a yucy emergency at around 11:00PM at night, and although he had informed us that he had just got home to relax and eat something, he came out to help us anyway.  He was professional personable and courteous. What I liked about him, was that he provided us with an approximate price range, when others I called either didn't answere, gave me the run around and / or would not give me a emergency late night call out price range. One other thing I liked about him was,  he had his picture on his website, so when he showed up, I knew it was him.

Had a random toilet / shower issue and our apartment complex's emergency maintenance doesn't work sundays, so we found this company. Carlos came out within an hour, fixed the issue that apparently was going to affect the entire complex within an hour.

Carlos came in to repair work another plumber had done -- he was knowledgeable and explained what had gone wrong the first time and fixed it quickly, efficiently and at a reasonable cost.  We will be calling Carlos for all our plumbing needs.

I'm tired of hiring people to come over to my house in Serra Mesa ( built in 1973 ) just to overcharge , not finish the project or flat out make things worse .
I called 805 after getting a very positive review from a friend ,( still skeptical ) I made the call anyway ... I had two other plumbers come to give estimates for a complete repipe . 805's Carlos came out and was the most knowledgable  and his prices were fair .
They were clean , clean , clean . My place is immaculate.
