100% recommend this store they met all of our needs! My girlfriend and I ran into some carpet trouble and had called all over the valley before finding this wonderful place. We called ahead inquiring about the material we needed and had a great conversation with the lady who answered. After explaining our situation she gave her advice which was more helpful than most of the other carpet sellers we had contacted. The location on Apple Maps led to their warehouse but the pictures on their page allowed us to find the store. Walked in and a pleasant man by the name of Frank offered his help. Frank was amazing and fulfilled all of our needs with a tremendous attitude. He was very knowledgeable about the products we needed and even found us a better option. I could not have asked for a better service! I went in feeling stressed about the situation and Frank's expertise and customer service helped put me at ease.

Yelper friends, while my new home was being built I could not stand the standard floor material  provided by the builder and they made it financially impossible to upgrade utilizing their services. With that said, Uptight Flooring in Avondale not only solved the problem but earned a customer for life.

Upon my first visit, staff at Uptight treated me like a friend. I can not say enough about the friendly staff. From Sarah and Frank in the office to Eddie in the field, they were all great people to work with and never missed a beat in providing great customer service.  

Uptight was given the responsibility of demoing the floor the builder forced me to put in. Their pricing for this task was good and the work was great. As dusty as this project can be, they covered everything and kept the project as clean as possible. As for laying the amazing new floors, the crew did exceptional work. Every visitor who knows anything about flooring install makes comments about the quality of work and how good the floors look.

If I have not expressed it enough, Uptight Flooring is awesome and I would recommend them to all and already have. They have a huge selection of flooring options at every price point. Their labor costs are inline with other installers, but you are  getting the best service in the field.

After careful research and a recommendation from a good friend, I contacted Uptight Carpet to request a quote for new flooring for our home. They were one of three companies from whom I requested quotes. Frank Chavarria was assigned to come out for measuring. Not only did he arrive early for our scheduled appointment, he brought some samples and promptly delivered a written quote. After a small negotiation, Frank was able to provide answers to all my questions. I decided to go with them, mainly because they were able to provide the porcelain wood-look tile I wanted while remaining within my budget. Another plus is they were willing to move large furniture.

Within a couple days of signing the contract with Frank, Eddie (project manager) was calling to schedule the start date. Frank originally set expectations that they were about 4-6 weeks out for starting a new project. While this was within my timeline, Eddie was able to give me a start date only about 2 weeks out. What a pleasant surprise.

It gets even better. Eddie called me a week before the project was to start, saying they finished another project early and could start that day. Since I was hosting a July 4th party, we agreed they would start July 5, instead of the originally scheduled July 9.

On the morning of July 5, Edgar and Hector arrived on time. They did a brief walk-through of the home and gave me an outline of what to expect. They saw we would need to live in the house during the project and wanted to be sure I understood there could be a lot of dust from the tile removal. Then they promptly set to work moving furniture so they could begin tearing out the old tile and carpet.

During the nine days it took to finish the project, Edgar and Hector were extremely conscientious. They even took time to play with our three-year old son. Eddie checked in on a daily basis, either with a phone call, text or a personal visit.

Upon completion of the project, there were just a couple minor adjustments. Eddie was right there to fix everything. There was no pressure for the final payment the moment the installers were done, rather, Eddie wanted to be sure I was completely satisfied with every last detail. Later that day, Frank called to check that I was happy. I truly am.

Experienced amazing customer service from very professional organization. I was moving from out of state to Arizona and was able to efficiently work with Sarah from Uptight Flooring throughout the entire process.  brand new laminate and carpet throughout my entire house before I even moved in! When I arrived with my family from out of state, we were extremely satisfied with the results including the amazing laminate job they did on the stairway.

My husband and I couldn't be happier with our new carpet from Uptight Carpet.  Frank did a wonderful job educating us on what would be appropriate for our needs. When it was time for the installation we were thrilled with care the installers took in not only laying the carpet beautifully but cleaning up during and after the job. When it was completed it was just as beautiful as Frank had promised me it would be. Thank you very much!

Worst customer service. The rude lady working there all but refused to order a cabinet piece I needed. She even told me that since we are trying to sell our house I should just get some particle board and woodlook contact paper from Walmart and call it a day. Very unprofessional and made every excuse not to order the piece I was requesting. I left without the piece I went in for.

Completely satisfied with Uptight Carpet.  Sarah worked with us on finding a product within out price range and the installation went extremely well.  I am very happy with the sales and service delivered.  Everything from quoting, to committed dates and times, and execution on the installation was perfect.

Now that our installation is completed and he have had a chance to enjoy the new carpeting, I look back to see if there was anything that could have gone any better, and the answer is no.  Very satisfied!!

We've spent the last two weeks with Uptight's installation guys practically living in our house with us and we couldn't be happier with them.

We decided to replace the builder-grade carpet/linoleum/tile in our 1,900 square foot house with tile. Yes, every square inch.

We happened upon a beautiful tile at a tile distributor's store and were in need of someone to install it. Thankfully a friend recommended Uptight.

Their quote was fair and they were able to get the tile we had chosen for a dollar a square foot less than list price.

Knowing we had to live in the house with two pets through the entire installation, not to mention both of us work from home, Uptight worked closely with us to make the two week installation period as easy as possible for us. They reorganized how they would typically work through a house to allow us to always have living space. They even moved our furniture around a bit more than they had probably expected to, just to make sure we had the space we needed.

The installers (Polo and Wilbur) arrived on time every day and didn't leave until the job was done for the day. That's very unusual for contractors! Their tile cuts were nearly perfect and they took the time to make sure the pattern was laid exactly as we wanted it laid. (Note, I'm quite picky, so this is a huge compliment to them!)

We would HIGHLY recommend Uptight to anyone looking to add new tile to their home. In fact, I've been telling anyone and everyone about them since they got done. Oh, and ask for Polo as your installer. He's amazing!

So happy that we went with Uptight! Recently moved into a home that desperately needed new flooring and cosmetic upgrades. From picking out the products to getting everything done, Frank was so helpful and made the process easy. The new floors and kitchen backsplash look amazing!

Was happy with the whole experience of ordering and getting carpeting installed about 9 months ago.   Followed up recently when I needed some tile repaired.   Don't think they are interested in repair / small jobs.   Took a long time for call backs and follow up.

Uptight worked with us to select the perfect counters and backsplash when we redecorated our home this summer. We love the work, the design is perfect (including the changes in the island shape and size) and they even helped us select a new sink, brought it along and installed it, and provided an excellent plumber to install our new faucet and garbage disposal. Many thanks to Sarah Minshall-McCain and Eddie Sapien for all their help, expertise, design sense, and oversight.

Up Tight did outstanding work in the home we recently purchased in Goodyear, Arizona.  From beginning to end they were helpful, considerate and very professional.  In our home they laid tile and carpet throughout the first level of the house.  Although this was a major undertaking in a 3000 sq. ft. house, the workers, who are truly craftsmen at what they do, went out of their way to inconvenience us as little as possible  During the process, supervisory people would stop by to see how the work was going and to ask if we were happy the way everything looked.  We always were.  The work was finished as promised and on time.

We recommend Up Tight Carpet without reservation.

Very professional. Honesty and ethics are very much alive with this company.  Get your three estimates like you should, but include this company; they weren't the lowest bid, but their materials are a higher grade and better product.  The carpet install was clean and the installers were meticulous.  I recommend you talk to Frank; he makes things happen and he follows up with you throughout the process.

We had Sarah come out to get measurements for laminating stairs. She was kind enough to call and confirm appointment time that day which though was nice. However, that was the last we heard from her. She said she would get us a quote with the measurements she took. I waited about a week or ten days and sent an email to them asking where our quote was. I still haven't heard back from them. I guess our business isn't needed.

Me and my wife were shopping for tile and carpet for a full bath remodel and new carpet in a few rooms.

First impression:  

I was very impressed with their showroom and supply of samples.  The salesman was very helpful to find the right tiles/colors.  Me and my wife were very happy with the salesman.  We pretty much came to the conclusion that we were going to go with them.

After several phone calls and trips into the store, it looks like they don't want to sell anything.  I was completely sold with this company, and all I was waiting for was a quote.  THEY WOULD NOT GIVE ME A QUOTE.?.?  

I politely asked several times for a quote (in person and over the phone), and even provided all my measurements.  

How odd is that?  Usually companies are eager to take your money, but not this place.  

At this point, even if they call us with my quote, three weeks later, we will not go with them.  If they cant even call us back in regards to a quote, imagine if there was a problem with the work.  

We like to support small businesses in our neighborhood, but when they don't produce, we are forced to go to the big box stores.  What a shame.  

We will need to find another tile place.  Hopefully they will have the same tiles/carpet.

Terrible place to get a bid on carpet. I had a 10am appointment Sara calls at 10:30 and said she was tied up on last bid. Which was fine she wanted a 11am which I was unable I actually had another bid at 11am. She then says she'll check her schedule and call me back.
     12pm she calls and asks me when I'm available for the day. I say anytime after 12:30pm because I'm getting lunch and then she says how about tomorrow morning then. So obviously she wanted to come right at that moment! I told Sara we had a appointment for today not tomorrow and I will not be needed her services.

    Whenever a flakey company starts balking on the first day never go with them because its not going to get any easier after signing a work order !

Uptight just finished our tile demo and laminate install. I could not be happier!  All work crews were on time, worked full days and were polite and informative if I had questions.
In the showroom, Matt and Sara were very helpful and friendly. Matt was honest about how messy tile demo was so we were prepared for the mess, but we were pleasantly surprised at how great the crew cleaned up after tearing out 1100sq. feet of tile. Our job was finished ahead of schedule, another nice bonus.  I will not hesitate to contact them for all our future flooring needs.

Love my new carpet! Frank was great with helping me pick the perfect carpet for our new home, went above and beyond to make sure it was installed within the timeline I needed and we couldn't be happier! Very professional and comparable in price.

We had used Uptight Carpet before to re-floor a foreclosure we had purchased and were very happy with their work and price.  When it came time to rehab a rental home for sale, I decided to get bids from a couple of different places.  I don't live local anymore and was flying in for a day to get the ball rolling.  I contacted Lowes & Uptight.  Both returned my call, but Lowes said they didn't have anyone available who could measure and provide me a quote (oh, and it would be a $35 fee to come out).  On the other hand, Frankie from Uptight responded and was able to meet me at our property that afternoon to take measurements.  Later, we looked at samples for carpet, tile, and granite so he could work up a quote.  Frankie helped pick out the perfect wood-look tile that updated our 15 year old rental and stayed within a tight budget.  When time for installation came, Frankie & the Uptight crew were very accommodating of our need to schedule the install in stages to permit painting and other interior work between tile, granite, and carpet.  The finished product was incredible.

Uptight is a great local business, I give them my highest recommendation.

Sarah was amazing! She had the patience to go through countless samples and knew all the technical information about the different carpets. She clearly wasn't trying to upsell us and was trying to find the perfect fit for our family. Fantastic selection at great prices. I've been telling everyone to go there.

I highly recommend Uptight Carpet for all your flooring needs.  I primarily worked with Frank Chavarria who is awesome to work with as well as the others on staff.  We had carpet replaced and hardwoods installed in a bedroom and the job was done perfectly!  This was done in a new home we purchased.  Closing was tricky but Uptight Carpet was very flexible.  Big thanks to Gerry as well working with the schedule!  I'm looking forward to working with this company again on my next project!

Uptight recently replaced nearly all of our carpeting and tiled the master bath.  They were wonderful!  Frank was so helpful and patient especially regarding the choice of color for our carpet, even coming to our home a second time to make sure I was completely at ease with our choice. The installers were on time, courteous, and professional. The carpet installers, Danny and Victor were exceptional. I cannot say enough about these men and their work ethic. They arrived early and didn't leave until the job was totally done to our satisfaction. We will not hesitate to use them again in the future.

We had outstanding service and installation! Sarah was a pleasure to work with and stayed on top of the project from beginning to end.  If you want "Nordstrom" type service, this is the place to go.

We were so happy to have Frank help us with our tile. He explained in detail all the different types of tiles and planks and other flooring. We picked out the initial plank tiles and then had to go back three weeks later for the grout. As soon as we walked in he remembered us and actually remembered the specific plank ceramic tiles that we chose. Once again he was able to help us match the perfect color of grout for our tiles. It's this type of wonderful customer service and family style business that will make us come back here over and over again.

Uptight Carpet has done carpet, wood floors and tile in my home over the years.The workmanship is top quality. Sarah is an expert on design to help with your own personal taste. All the installers are true professionals. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Wonderful family run business. We are building a home out of state and stopped in to compare some carpet samples and prices and Sarah was extremely helpful - even though we are not buying any materials from them. She was happy to talk pros and cons and even help us price match for our floor space to see if we were getting a good deal. She never rushed us and was very pleasant. My only regret is we won't be here to work with them directly as she was fantastic!

We had a few issues that were not of their doing, but Matt took personal responsibility and got the work done.

My family has been using Uptight for years so I had high hopes. The communication has been terrible. I was thrilled with our flooring  choices, but it took longer than expected to get the quote and longer than expected to have it installed. The carpet installers were annoyed with me that their work order didn't specify that they'd have to move a little furniture - a crib, baby dresser and book shelf - something I discussed with the salesman. They spoke uncertainly about putting carpet over the existing tile even though I was assured that would be fine. We were prepared to demolish it. I was even told that I might have to contact Uptight directly if (when was the unspoken sentiment) the carpet starts peeling from the floor. The installers left my front door wide open with the heater working and both of them at the back of the house so they'd have never known if somebody came inside. I saw this when I came to check on progress. Also, they left the toilet seat up and the toilet unflushed. The best was the exterior door they left open and off the hinges. I'm glad I noticed and said something. *the guys left after telling me they'd have to come again to finish a couple seams that are currently just taped - nobody from Uptight has called me to schedule that. We also found nails all over our driveway. It has been kind of a nightmare. I'd try somewhere else before I'd use Uptight again. Update: I called to schedule having the carpet finished because, again, nobody called me. It took a week for the guys to finish and then the salesman called me the very next day to collect the rest of the money. I'll officially never use Uptight again.

We recently purchased a home in Goodyear and upon closing realized new carpet was a must.  We were on a short timeline to get everything worked out as we had not yet relocated to the area and were only in town a few days for closing.  Sarah at Uptight was wonderful.  She was able to come to the house, measure, and provide a rough estimate all in one day.  The next day we went to the store to make a final selection and the carpet was scheduled to install the following week.  There was a slight delay and it didn't install until a few days later than scheduled, but since we weren't moved in yet it wasn't a big deal for us.  Once installation was complete, Sarah personally went to the house to take photos to send to us so we could see the results.  We are finally moved into the house and the new carpet makes such a big difference.  Thank you, Sarah & Uptight!

First off I want to say that I am not getting or receiving any discounts or freebies for writing this review. My wife and i purchased a new home and wanted to replace the carpet in the home. Our real estate agent had recommended a wholesale contractor carpet and tile place and we did get a quote from them, however, we decided to go to Uptight Carpet because it was local and had very good reviews and boy are we glad we did. We worked with Frank at the show room and he was awesome. Their product and customer service is terrific and their prices are competitive and probably better than what you can get from the big box stores.It's one stop shopping and their own employees do all the work. We replaced carpet in all the bedrooms and decided to tile our den versus carpet. The installation of both the carpet and tile went flawlessly and they did a fantastic job. i am very particular and would give the entire team from start to finish, sales, scheduler, carpet and tile men a total 10 if I could.  This company is the best and there's a reason they have been around all these years!

Wish I could give higher rating but here's the scoop. They get high marks for good selection of carpet & tile for west valley. They showed up "on time" scheduled appointments to measure and then install. Installers did a good job-efficient & timely. Here's where the marks go down sales rep never called to see how I like carpet, not timely on getting credit card again to charge the other half or send me a receipt w/ details on entire cost, how much carpet was purchased and name of carpet on receipt or give me warranty info on carpet.  I had considered using UPTIGHT for 2 other rooms but think their customer service is lacking and they are unorganized.

My husband and I were putting all new floors into our 2400 sqft home. We stopped into Uptight and was exretmely impressed with their showroom. There was so much selection and the staff was extremely helpful. So we had them come and do some measurments to get a quote. This is were our expereince went downhill. I had done a lot of research on how much the flooring should cost before they came for a quote and the quote the gave me was astronomical. I really really liked the floors we had picked out so we tried to negotiate. Originally my husband gave a price that we would be willing to work with (still far above what I thought it should cost) and the sales woman said "done". The following Monday we get a call and they said that they could do that price (the one they already agreed to). But could not really give us a reason. Nor would they give a detailed quote showing part, labor, etc. For a week we tried to negatiate more, including asking if we did part of the labor of removing the old floors if it would bring down cost. I began getting really suspious when they said that we could take $150 off our bill per toilet if we remove and reinstall them oursleves. I COULD GO BUY NEW ONES FOR THAT PRICE. Also they mentioned labor cost for removing our bathtub....ummm why are you taking my bathtub out? there is not tile under there??? .... So finally we went to get a quote from another local business and we actually got a better quality laminate and tile and the same exact carpet for about $4000 less than what UpTight wanted (and right in the ballpark all my research said to expect) .... and they only charged for $75 to remove  and reintall all three toilets... and they didnt remove my bathtub lol ...

Uptight just finished tile installation and new grout / cleaning on the existing flooring in the 3,000 SF house we just purchased.  From the moment we engaged with Uptight Carpet, it was a completely organized and stress free situation.  Frank was our main contact throughout this entire process, and he is terrific.  He helped us with tile selection.  He was able to get our work scheduled ahead of the initial date.  The flooring looks beautiful.  The crew finished on time. There were no issues.  We would highly recommend Uptight Carpet & Decorating Center.  We will also become a repeat customer for all our related future needs.

Had carpet and tile installed by Uptight.  Service was delivered as promised which was very important because we were working with a deadline. Excellent prices, huge selection, quality products and fantastic job on the install.  Matt had some great suggestions on product for our needs.   I would highly recommend them for your next project!

Started at a box store thinking they would be cheaper due to just volume and as you might have guessed.......ended up at Uptight Carpet. Best customer service, family owned, and professional in every manner. I could not have asked for better service. Found the exact same carpet Lowe's had-- Matt was great to deal with. Customer service is still alive and well.
