Chase provides a great reliable service at a great cost! I had a few quotes, he was the only one who showed up to provide the quote in person and it was much better than any one else's. He and his crew are very professional and did an amazing job! I am so happy I found a reliable professional company.

We had been working with Chance and his company for about 5 years. At first his caliber of work was fantastic! We was responsive, have great quality control of his team, and we were very happy. Over time his quality had faded. There seems to be a lack of attention to detail. Essentially we are just paying him to come and cut the grass and use a leaf blower. Occasionally we will see that bush maintenance has been done but not regularly, and we have noticed that there is watering issues. We have communicated the water issue and it has yet to be resolved. There is flooding constantly in our yard, and sprinkler heads are never checked unless we ask them to come back to fix it, but by the time they return, other sprinklers are broken and there is zero communication about it.

For me, the biggest issue is that the crew keeps leaving gates propped open. I understand that accidents can happen, but I've had to communicate this issue in the past. Lately, for months now, I have come home to discover our gates propped open and our dogs trying to escape. We have two small schnauzers, and they are older dogs, and it seems that Chances team does not listen when we beg them to be more careful.

Today, our dogs were nowhere to be found and again the gate left wide open. It's a self latch gate, so the yard guys had to move our rocks around to force the gate to stay open. I texted the owner, Chance and stated that we cannot have people working here that do not respect our home and family and that our pets are missing and that among other issues, our missing dogs was reason enough to no longer work with his company.

His response: my apologies, I'll remove you from the schedule.

We found our dogs, thankfully! My frustration mainly stems from a perceived lack of empathy, customer service, and own ship of the problem that this company has caused. I would have hoped that after years of work, there would be more of a response to the compromised safety of our pets. To be fair, I did respond to Chances text in a rude manner, and then he texted back expressing concern for our pets, but I felt it was too late.

At the end of the day, there is both good and bad in working with this company.

Good: he is professional when he responds to our concerns. He has competitive pricing. His workers are reliable by showing up when scheduled.

Needs improvement: lacks control of his workers quality. Lacks follow through on our flooding issue that has lasted almost 6 months. His service is not standardized such as trees/bushes are not always trimmed. Does not ensure our feedback is followed, hence his workers continued to let the watering go unfixed and compromise our dogs safety.

Overall, we felt that we were just paying for regularly scheduled grass cutting and leaf blowing, while we believed that more could have been done. We wanted to have a service where we didn't have to worry about yard maintenance, and we felt that we were not getting that on top of the team not being careful with our pets safety. I know other companies can be unreliable and cancel last minute. Chance's company always showed up, and if they couldn't, it was communicated. So, it's a balance of what you want from your yard maintenance company. Unfortunately, this wasn't a good fit for us any more.

Still one-star. Owner is lying in his post to save face.

While I was sent a list (via text - we never spoke verbally), items on the list were not performed. Weeds were not treated, rocks were not raked, debris still remained. Bushes, that were overgrown and being choked out by weeds, were left untouched.

He only addressed his natural look to bushes after the fact and said he only trims bushes once a year. He said he would try to do a small trim on the bushes next time as an exception for me and then would trim again in 2022. (That's a big assumption that there would be a next time after such poor work.)

He was also not there 45 minutes. I was in a 30 minute meeting with my boss when their crew arrived. They did not call or text before hand like I had requested (wanted to make sure my dog was inside). They were gone before the meeting was over.

The price is $120 a month. He billed me immediately for the first service  ($60) after ignoring much of his list.

He and I never had a conversation outside of text. and kept coming up with excuses why things weren't done.

He offered no solutions other than to wait and see if the weeds disappeared from the supposed treatment (they didn't!) and to see what he would get to next time.

After the review, he said to ignore the invoice.

He then tried to guilt me to remove the review and pestered me more than once about it.

This is not a good business man. This is someone who poorly performs and then tries to manipulate the review system with guilt.

He doesn't care how his poor performance hurts people and caused them stress. I had a special event planned, and I was left with a really poor looking yard (new purchase, so i hadn't lived in the home long).

Leaving my review up to warn others as I don't think anyone else should have to go through this.

I paid this unprofessional business to get them to stop harassing me for a payment I DID NOT OWE.  Small price to pay.

I gave them a few months in hopes things would improve but it was obvious it was just a quick couple of bucks for this company.

After 8 years with my previous landscaper, we ended our relationship because new home required a lot more frequent care than he was able to provide.  Enter Rockwell.  I'm surprised this company doesn't have more reviews... They are really amazing!

Our new home was vacant for about 3 months before moving in and the greenery was growing wild.  Rockwell cleaned it up beautifully and we are now on a bi-weekly maintenance schedule to keep it nice and tidy.

I feel that their prices are great (and affordable!) for the quality of service they provide.  Owner Chance is very easy to communicate with and is such a pleasure to work with.  I hope to be a long time client for many years to come!

Chance and his crew have been amazing. They are professional, reliable, and we love the results. Definitely would recommend!

This is the first landscaping service I am happy I do business with. I love my yard, but I travel a lot and spend too much time working these days to waste a Saturday a month in the yard. Rockwell has put my mind at ease for a reasonable price.

Chance and his crew have been phenomenal. I have nothing but spectacular things to say about them. Chance is easily reached via text and is always responsive. He turned my backyard which once a zoo that was littered in weeds, into something sightly. Highly recommend them!

These guys are the best! They always show up on the day they're supposed to, they always do a fabulous job, and the owner is very easy to work with and is very responsive. I have never had any issues. I'd recommend them to anyone that needs landscaping services!

Chance and the folks at Rockwell are great. He responded quickly to my request for an estimate and got me scheduled shortly after. Their prices are fair and Chance does a great job of communicating and answering questions. I recently moved but I would not hesitate to use them again in the future. Great service!

I don't post much on Yelp, but felt I should bases on my recent experience with Chance and this company.  

I like this guy and his employees/partners were good as well.  We hired him for a big job and their work was great, thorough and professional.

The job was in Glendale, I myself live out in Gilbert and was kinda bummed he can't do my landscaping as well (I think he only does west valley).

We've gone through a few landscape companies and individuals. Rockwell is BY FAR the best we've ever worked with!  Our yard looks amazing now and we can finally enjoy going out in the backyard without worrying about all the prickly weeds! We highly recommend Rockwell!

Great affordable service!  I started using Rockwell about a year ago (maybe more) and there service has been nothing but exceptional.  They were priced as good, if not better, than the others I had give me a quote.  Since using them, Chance has been great at getting back to me quickly and taking care of any special requests I have asked for.  The crew always comes when scheduled and I've never had any issue with billing or any other part of the service.  I highly recommend them.

I am thrilled by the work done by Rockwell Landscape Maintenance. I contacted Chance because my yards were a mess when I bought the house. There were a lot of bushes and trees to cut back, dead plants to pull out and debris everywhere. Chance was very communicative and quick to respond. Chance got our yard in shape this past spring and has kept it looking great ever since!  

He offers the full service (lawn mowing, shrub trimming, weeding, fertilizing and setting the sprinkler schedule) for a better price and higher quality than the other companies we have tried.  

We especially like that he's very responsive via email or text (even when we have lots of questions!) and never misses a scheduled day.

PROFESSIONAL PLUS!!  I had issues with a number of landscape companies, especially being out of town and owning a property in Glendale, Arizona.  When I hooked up with Chance and Rockwell Landscape Maintenance, it was like night and day compared to ALL the others I have dealt with over the years.  Communication was exceptional.  

As the property was approaching close of escrow and sale, I had some special needs that Chance rearranged his schedule for.  At the commencement of our business relationship, where others did not trust my payment (as I was out of town), Chance made this situation so simple.

Communication was great.  Quality of work is, and has been outstanding.  I wish I would have found Rockwell Landscape Maintenance and Chance years ago.  

My only disheartening concern is that when this property changes ownership later today, the new owners have elected to perform their own landscaping and not to continue the service.  Oh well.  That is their loss.  Perhaps they will come back to Chance once they realize that landscape maintenance takes time and effort in the extreme heat which accompanies residing in the Valley of the Sun.

My advice for anyone reading this review is... if you are in need of reasonably priced and excellent quality landscape service, USE CHANCE AND ROCKWELL LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE.  I promise that you will only be disappointed if you do not allow this man and his company the opportunity to bid your project or work.

I have been looking for a long time for a Pet Friendly landscaper who does a great job and who would keep my little boy safe and Chance and crew are those landscapers and they do a fantastic job keeping the whole place looking great too but my main concern is my pup, and I feel that Chance and Crew understands how I feel...Rockwell to me is The Very Best at everything they do keeping your Pet Safe and Landscaping...Eddy and I both Thank You ...

Give Chance a CHANCE!  I doubt you will be disappointed.  

After many years of disappointing and frustrating experiences with several Landscape companies, I found Chance, and he has truly been a life-saver!  

I first hired him to do my previous yard which had a  xeriscape setting.  He made it look beautiful for almost 3 years.   I received many compliments and he was so easy to work with.   He returned my calls promptly and worked around my travel schedule.  

So when I moved, he was my first call.   The new property had a huge lot with tons of (dead) grass, plants, trees.   The landscape had been severely neglected and it was a huge project to bring it all back to life.  I decided to get a few estimates, but Chance gave me the best quote and he got the job done in just a few days.  

He now does a bi-weekly maintenance for me and his price is beyond comparable to other companies.    He has worked for me for almost 6 years and I would recommend ROCKWELL LANDSCAPE MAINTENACE to anyone.  

They always respond quickly to my calls / texts and Chance pays attention to the little details, which is wonderful.   He is also helpful with tips and is mindful of my budget.

So if you need any landscape services, Call Chance!   I think you will enjoy working with him.   He is reliable, professional, fair, knowledgeable, flexible, and trust-worthy.

Rockwell Landscape was amazing. Incredibly detail oriented, fastidious, and professional. Not only took care of what we agreed to during the initial walk-through, but went above and beyond with the level of work that was completed. We had them do major cut-backs on many of our bushes that had been neglected by the previous owner of the home. A few weeks have passed and our yard looks amazing. Thank you Chance.
