Roadrunner Custom Remodeling

I met Patrick, the owner of Roadrunner Custom Remodeling, eight years ago when I joined the National Association of the Remodeling Industry. I found him to be proactive at helping other remodelers improve their businesses and a leader of the organization. He encouraged me to participate in leading the organization and has resulted in my personal and professional growth as an owner of another remodeling company.

Over the years I have never known Patrick and Roadrunner Custom Remodeling to represent anything other that the most professional example of how our industry should perform. I don't think you will find a more honest and trustworthy person to work with remodeling your home.

These guys looked good based on their reviews, so being in the market for a bathroom remodel, I sent them a message through their website.  Week later, no response.  Emailed them at the email address that was listed on their Facebook page.  Nothing.  Sent them a FB message and another message through their website.  Nothing.  

Customer service is important.  Companies are busy, I get it.  But somewhere along the line, respond to your inquiries.  Even if you have to say "hey, we can't get to you right now, but we'll respond when we have an opening."  That would be a much better (and much more appreciated) first impression to make.  

If they can't take the time to reply to potential customers, I worry what communication would be like during the actual job...

I am planning a master bath remodel so I called Roadrunner because of their great reviews. Patrick called me back and left a voicemail even though he was booked out quite a while. We didn't end up using Roadrunner because of our timing and their availability but I appreciated Patrick's transparency and helpfulness.

This is the second bathroom remodel Patrick has done for us.  Both jobs were within budget and the stated time frame.  Compared to others I interviewed he was the most personable and professional.  His crew is always respectful and friendly, taking care to be as unobtrusive as possible.  They always covered all necessary adjacent furniture, rug or cabinets and meticulously cleaned up each day. The most recent job done by Chris turned out even better than I had envisioned. Unlike other companies you may hire who have a few jobs running at a time and disappear and appear without explanation, Roadrunner only does one job at a time. It really pays off with the least amount of aggravation and a stunning finished product. We will not hesitate to hire Roadrunner once more when we put an addition on our home next year.

I selected Roadrunner after interviewing several other contractors, and I certainly made the right decision. Roadrunner remodeled two bathrooms and a kitchen in my 28 year old home. I received expert advice and ideas, and I was kept informed of every step along the way. Dan always showed up as planned and had great suggestions to address every problem. And his tile work is simply the best. Patrick is very organized and did his best to keep me on budget (always a challenge with me).

In a job as big as mine, there are always a few loose ends. Roadrunner provided prompt and effective follow up on these even several months after the job was complete.

This job was approximately $13,000 in overall remodeling costs.  I expected the owner/contractor to be more involved and hands on" and aware of what was occuring on the job site.  A worker, who at the time said he'd been with the company approximately 4 months, was the primary person on my job.  While the work was completed in a timely fashion there was damage to my tub, which was not present when the remodel work began!  However, the owner only had a "chip" fixed in the tub,  but would not fix the crack in the tub which was not there before the work started.    The owner, Patrick Benkowski,  denied responsibility for the damage.  Also, as tile was being cut, the water and debris from the water used on the job was poured into my grass and my grass died.  The owner denied responsibility, indicating that they had not killed my grass.  I would not recommend this contractor.

We had Roadrunner Custom Remodeling remodel our two outdated bathrooms. We are very, very happy with the work that was done and with the cost. Patrick and his employees were always very conscientious, professional and polite. Everyone went out of their way to do a good job. Our two bathrooms look so much better than we had anticipated. We're so pleased that we are planning on having them update our kitchen as well.
