HISTORY


Established in 1989.
I started my air conditioning business out of my home and my only vehicle was my service truck. Today Red Mountain Air Conditioning has 8 service trucks and 6 install trucks. We are a family owned business and look forward to another 30+ years of air conditioning servicing for our customers.

Terry and crew were the most Knowledgable technicians I have ever met in this industry. They diagnosed and resolved many original shortcomings
and incorrect components installed along with
5 brand new high seer Trane units from several years ago by REEis and overlooked by other companies. This is a company of technicians not just servicemen. Smart, capable and honest.

Let me just say, the last time our AC went out, my husband and I nearly got divorced. I don't tolerate heat well, and trying to find lodging for two senior citizen dogs and a one eyed cat is just plain stressful. So, after spending all night on the phone after the storm with every AC company in the valley, I was relieved when Red Mountain called me the next morning to schedule same day service. Luis was my technician. Not only did he show up hours early, he fixed the problem quickly and was very reassuring. Luis was so personable and his smile was infectious. And as grumpy as I was, I couldn't help but smile back. Thanks!!

They fixed my AC unit by replacing one part (total was $327)
Another company was quoting $6000 for repairs or $7000 for replacing.
What a difference an honest service makes.
I'll definitely use them when it's time to replace my AC (it's getting old).

I would highly recommend Red Mountain for all of your heating and cooling needs. I recently purchased a new heat pump system from them and am very satisfied with it, all the way from dealing with Tim in sales to Thomas the head engineer. They were prompt and professional in the entire process. Would not hesitate to use their service again

If we could, we'd give Red Mountain Air Conditioning 10 STARS!  The young man James who came to our home was very polite, obviously very knowledgeable in his craft, quickly accessed and solved the problem with our air conditioner.  Perhaps the big guys can advertise more , be more visible, but from our experience with Red Mountain Air...our recommendations are to call them first!

One of our units began to pump out warmer air. Red  Mountains after hours service works! James, the professional, attentive tech came out on a Sunday. His intent was to impart HVAC knowledge and fix what was needed. So many techs in this industry push products for more revenue and not solutions. Not James, he's a pro. Red Mountain did the job right and I was happy to pay a premium for after hours. Great work team!

Tim was my salesman and Ernie, his brother and JD did the install. I'm a salesman as well and can spot, in the first 10 seconds,  if a guy knows what he's doing. Tim does, which is why I went with RMAC. He answered all my questions, worked with me on the price and added services, met and exceeded expectations.

Ernie and his team did a seamless job of installing the unit. No issues and I would have no problem referring him on anyone's job. They were thorough in their preparation, execution, and clean up.

I'll look forward to future services from RMAC

Thoroughness + timeliness + knowledgeability + reliability + economical = professional.  Bought a condo in Fountain Hills and while original Trane (20+ years) ac/heater was working we decided to replace it.  

Had several estimates done.  Tim from Red Mountain came out and his input, questions and inspection outshone all.  He was the only one to take the time to inspect the interior and exterior units, return air and grill and to walk around the complex to look at the other units and their upgrades.  With Tim's insight and at a nominal cost,  we also enlarged the air return which was one of the best decisions we made.  Interior sound was significantly decreased.  

While it took a full day, replacement and installation was without an issue.  Follow up was done by Tim.  It was thorough and provided back up information along with warranty information.  Would highly recommend Red Mountain. I will go through them for future maintenance and I will also look at them when water heater needs to be replaced.

After spending a night in uncomfortable heat, they responded to an A/C service request in quick order at 7 am (the good). My unit was running but not blowing cold air and we, understandably, wanted a quick resolution.

Upon arrival, the technician, Paul, quickly identified that the
capacitor was dead and had no charge. He then tells me these parts typically run $240+ but you're in luck, since it's under warranty it will only be $68. Not bad, I thought at the time. After a quick replacement (it took longer to walk to his truck to get the part), he told me to check inside to ensure that cold air was blowing. It was indeed and he did not bother with any additional inspection of the unit.

This weekend, in an effort to try and educate myself on A/C units, I did some research ... turns out a replacement capacitor is a $10-20 part on Amazon. I can understand an upcharge, but why blatantly lie about the cost?

Plus, my A/C unit is only 1 year old so it's still certainly under warranty but I'm not sure if that part replacement should have been covered.  

I will not be calling them again and certainly do not recommend.

Met with Tony Carter from Red Mountain Air Conditioning.  Company is experienced in commercial and custom residential heating and air conditioning installation as well as commercial and residential repair and maintenance.  They pride themselves in doing high quality work at a competitive price.  They also do residential replacement systems.  I met Tony through the Gilbert Chamber where I also have met some customers of Red Mountain.  I hear that they are prompt, courteous, professional and do excellent work.

I selected Red Mountain AC after talking with a number of companies based on experience, skill and knowledge.  While pricing was competitive, what set Red Mountain apart from the other companies I spoke to was their ability to install a new HVAC system in an extremely challenging space requiring reconfirguation of the space.   Moreover, on the day of the install I had to leave to handle a family emergency.  When I returned they were finishing a day long install.  They exceeded all my expectations in their knowledge of selecting an appropriate system for my needs to providing me with a HVAC that is efficiency and provides greater capacity.  Thank you Tim and crew.

We researched many AC companies in the Phoenix area for a complete new HVAC system and Tim Friederich of Red Mountain Air Conditioning was always quick to respond to our many calls and questions. He clearly explained the pro's and con's of the many systems on the market and on his advice we decided on the Trane XR17. We scheduled the installation date which was promptly installed in one day. Tim was extremely professional and recommended we balance the system with some extra ductwork to ensure maximum efficiency. Tim inspected the installation and instructed us on the Thermostat settings. The installation work was all completed in a timely fashion and Tim's follow up was impressive. I would highly recommend this AC company and Tim Friederich. Thank you for a cool summer season.

Woke up to a 90 degree house, the air conditioning had stopped working through the night. Red Mountain set an appointment right when I called. The other company I contacted had to call me back with a time. When the service tech arrived he took no time in diagnosing the problem, telling me the exact cost and it was up and running in no time. He was polite and checked the whole unit over for me. I would recommend this company to anyone. I was very pleased.

UPDATE: Repair didn't even last 90 days and they would not come back out unless I paid another service call fee.

I built my first owner-builder home.  After talking with 4 companies I went with Red Mountain.  I explained that I wanted a high end system with separate temperature controlled areas, humidity control, Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV), solid tubing for main runs and a Mini Split for the workshop.  Red Mountain did not disappoint!!  It has been 18 months since I built my home and my highest electric bill was $177 for a 3,700 sf home.  Sweet!  Thanks Red Mountain!!

My main a/c went down late afternoon Aug. 30th.  I spent too much time trying to self diagnose the issue.  Finally decided to call Red Mountain A/C approx. 7:00 p.m. - Much to my surprise I got a 'live' person who answered the phone and said she could have a tech out to the house at 7:00 a.m. in morning...
Pete G. called at 6:30 a.m. to let me know he was on his way.  He arrived at 6:55 a.m. He trouble shot the system and within 10 minutes knew it was the (damn) run capacitor.  He replaced it, checked the refrigerant levels and showed me how to hose down the condenser coils.  He was gone by 7:50 a.m.
Pete G. is a seasoned A/C technician, good to talk to and he was able to answer all of my laymen questions.  Highly recommend him for his knowledge and professionalism and I appreciate Red Mountain following through on their commitment.  Give them a shout - you've got nothing to loose and they'll keep you nice and cool...!!!

Our AC was not working in the middle of the night Saturday; after spending most of Sunday trying to self diagnose the issue, we finally called Red Mountain Air. They set up an appointment for an hour away from my call and Bill arrived right on time.  Fortunately our issue was not too big nor too expensive. Bill was very knowledgeable and informative and answered all of our questions. We will be recommending Red Mountain Air from now on.

I had 2 other companies give me bids for a new unit before calling Red Mountain.  They each could not schedule an install for 7 to 10 days out.  Red Mountain sent Tony out to my house with an exact time for appointment and Tony was on time.  He obviously has a lot of commercial and residential experience.  Helped me figure out my AC requirements.  Worked with me on pricing and was able to schedule install 3 days out.  Install crew was exactly on time.  Got the unit installed efficiently and left my property cleaned up beautifully.  Tony came back to my house 5 days later to make sure the equipment was working properly I was happy and to review my warranty information.  I will definitely be recommending Red Mountain to my friends and family!!

It was a pleasure to work with an outfit that prides themselves on being high quality professionals.  Tim worked with me for several hours to come up with the right combination of A/C parts to fit the space available.  The installation took less time than I expected, and was beautifully done.  I am confident the units will work perfectly for many years.

I've had Red Mtn Air come out to perform routine maintenance and deal with a condensation line leak in my air unit.  They've always been professional, prompt and very helpful.  No complaints and I continue to use them.

Very disappointed!  Do not recommend.  Phone calls are not returned in a timely manner.  They don't stand behind the products they sell by admission but yet still sell them to the consumer.    Brand new unit, less than 4 years old, serviced 4 times and never covered by warranty.  Not trying to bash, just being honest.  Did not work for me, will not return!
