R & R Restoration

I was looking for a company to stain some of my furniture. When he came to look at my pieces he was friendly yet professional with an obvious passion for woodworking and restoration. Unlike other companies, Marc educated me on the proper process of staining my furniture and why stripping the wood was necessary (he is the only business that strips wood in the valley). Marc was reasonable for the value and ultimately stained: 2 mirrors, 9 dining chairs (which we had reupholstered by him), 2 dining tables, 1 entertainment center and a large 4 piece bookshelf. He completed the job in two groups but had everything completed in 3 weeks. Today he delivered and set up my new (looking) furniture and I couldn't be happier. I would highly recommend R&R Restoration and will definitely use him again if the opportunity arises.

We wanted to paint our kitchen cabinets, without a clear idea about color. We talked to multiple painters. Marc with R&R Restoration was the last person we spoke to. In a very thoughtful approach, he helped us select an overall color palette for not only our cabinets but also our walls. We knew that with his obvious passion for what he does, and his technique for prepping and painting cabinets, he would be, hands down, the best person for the project. Throughout the process, he set expectations, did exactly as he said he would do, communicated well, and was pickier about the result than I was. We could not be happier with the result! It is not often that I make a recommendation without reservation. R&R Restoration is just that business!

Marc is a wood wizard!  My maple cabinets were from 1957 and he beautifully turned them to a luscious, darker color, updating my kitchen and bathrooms to 2020.  It took four samples and a lot of patience on Marc's part, but he hit the nail on the head with the fifth sample.  Part of the problem  was my ignorance on the ways of wood and what I really wanted.  Punctual, professional and meticulously done in four days. No overspray, missing pieces or mess when he left.  I could stay in my home during the process without bad smells.  He went beyond, like closing a 1/4 inch gap between my cabinets, putting scribe where he thought necessary, reinforcing a loose piece, putting cushion spots where necessary, and leaving me with some extra stain for later touch-ups.  Plus, he  traveled cross-town several times to meet with me. Neighbors have labelled  my cabinets with words like stunning, beautiful, amazing, and a simple Wow!.  Marc is easy to work with and considers his work to be part artistry, part chemistry, part instinct. I agree.  He takes pride in the finished product and leaves nothing undone.  Reasonably priced.  Don't hesitate, call for an estimate now!

We had completely updated our home and one major problem remained...the kitchen cabinets no longer matched the new look. After much research we discovered Marc at R & R and WOW!

We needed to redo our kitchen cabinets and wanted to change the color from natural maple to a much darker color. Our contractor contacted 3 companies; one of them R & R Restoration. We carefully interviewed all 3 and chose R & R after Mark was able to convince us that we would be happy with the outcome.

Mark detailed the process and it went as planned. The outcome exceeded our expectations. Mark scheduled a follow-up visit to make 1 or 2 final touch-ups and verify our satisfaction.

I absolutely recommend this company. Marc listened to my vague request and immediately understood what I was looking to do. I had my VERY outdated cabinets redone in the kitchen and master bathroom. They are simply beautiful now. Great customer service, very professional team. Will definitely be using again when I am ready to do other rooms.

We are selling our home and we needed some cabinet touch ups to make them look new again. They did an excellent job and quoted me a fair price beforehand which I appreciated, so there were no surprises. Would 100% recommend them and will be using them again to refinish a kitchen table.
