This is a hard review to write because I can't quite word how I feel about what Paul Rene did to my home. I also have a hard time taking the pictures that would best showcase the work they did.
So I'm just going to do my best.

1- My library is absolutely and insanely beautiful. The lines, the wood, the feeling, the craftsmanship are all one of a kind and special to my wife and I.

2- The sturdiness of the install is exceptional. There is a rolling ladder that actually rolls around a corner. That is not normal. It is beyond what you would expect, and just amazing to use. The track system that the ladder slides on is super unique and low profile. It is sturdy and functional. I love it.

3- The creativity Paul Rene employed to design and manufacture this library was beyond what I could have envisioned. He sat with my wife and I and listened to us. We are lifetime collectors of books and avid readers. Every book on our shelves have been read at least once.
When we sat down together he asked about our personalities, what we loved about books, our personal taste.
A few weeks later he came up with a draft design. We worked back and forth for a few more weeks adjusting lines and adding more curves until we have the library you see pictured in the review.

4- Paul Rene worked hard to install the library. The team they used to install everything were courteous, and incredibly professional.
After a month, I asked them to come back to look at a part of the ladder slide system and they were here adjusting it in no time.

I can say this honestly- Paul is an artist without peer. My photos barely capture what he designed., and what I have the joy of living with. His partner Rene is a technical master at construction. Bringing the vision to a function that is delicate and sturdy enough to hold thousands of well loved books.

I hired Paul to do design and build a custom office furniture set up as we've got an odd sized room to serve as our office.

I needed something that was very functional given the limited space but would also help make it very aesthetically pleasing given the amount of time I spend in my office.

Paul's got a great eye for design both for use of space and materials and his process made it easy to get the most from his creative capability while capturing the ideas I had.

We're so pleased with the office build-out that we decided to do two more pieces of work with Paul right away.

A long story of a long battle only to discover a kindred spirit and a soul sharing.
We have high praise and a lot of emotion for designing, building, and installing a Custom Home Media Wall.
We came to Paul Rene out of frustration and bile-wrenching anger. We had a year-long mess trying to get a custom home entertainment center designed, built, and installed by one of Phoenix's most reputable furniture builders. After many redesigns, installation delays, and finally successful litigation, we were after five years of humbling saving and waiting for that Right Piece, that piece of furniture that screams us. We were looking for simple elegance, a look, and functionality. We wanted a substantial understatement, a unique look, a texture, and a feel.
Paul Rene delivered In spades.
After our legal victory over the prominent custom furniture manufacturer, Frustrated and not feeling so victorious, we began our search for a replacement custom furniture manufacturer. How wrong we were to think of fulfilling our desire with a replacement of a failed want. I thought or sheepishly believed we wanted a home entertainment wall. What we wanted was an expression of our souls embodied in pieces of furniture. The prominent custom furniture manufacturer did not understand this nor even attempted to understand us nor take the time to listen to us.
Paul delivered beyond our wildest expectations.
It's all about The Process.
Paul Rene is not a Brick and Mortar place. At two in the wee morning, my wife, Michele, determined that we would not endure another year of my high-end electronics spread out in the family room resting on boxes and a card table, continued with her marathon web searches. Michele did not like that college student bachelor look and vibe that had occupied the family room for the last five years.
She struck Gold.
She found the PaulReneFurniture.com website. Within a week, we were exploring Paul's workshop and working our due diligence. We found his store compelling and his Process invigorating. We reserved our home visit and paid the retainer.
We are not the average Paul Rene Client. We don't live in a mini-mansion nor spend idle hours at our country club. What we are "idem animarum" same souls (Latin). Paul's story is our story. His struggles and alienation are our struggles and alienation. His defeats and victories are ours.  idem animarum"
We selected Paul Rene because we feel connected. We feel that he understands that furniture is not just furniture but an embodiment of an expression from our collective souls.
Yes, Paul Rene is not a knock-off or Chinese Copenhagen clone. His furniture fills the space in our home but more importantly, his work our commission fills a place in our souls.
The Basics.
Paul made two house visits. You pay a retainer with 50%  of the retainer should you decide not to move forward with the Process. This part of the Process is fair because Paul is actively designing your furniture for your space. He is working to please you, the client. He does not spend countless hours designing for you for free. Paul gets paid. Pay him for his enormous talent. Pay him for dragging out of you what you want even when you don't know what that is. You pay Paul of Paul Rene furniture for making all the Processes go so darn easy.
There were no surprising issues. Paul had to suspend his business to appear on a well-known syndicated TV program, but our furniture's build work continued. Some deadline supply chain delays occurred, but a pandemic slowed down the supply chain, impacting everyone.
Paul Rene can do many things
In summary, if you want the same home entertainment system wall as everyone else has, STOP turn around. Paul Rene furniture is not Status Quo items that need sales to survive. By signing with Paul Rene, be prepared for a journey of stimulating dialogue. You will be architecturally and mentally challenged. Welcome to the Paul Rene.

A great place for custom furniture with artistic flair.  We could not be any more pleased with the artistic design and craftsmanship.

Paul Rene was the best choice for our floor-to-ceiling book shelf.  We had gotten a quote from a previous business and it was the basic shelves and cabinetry that one could find anywhere.  For practically the same price, we received a true work of art:  a one-of-a-kind, custom piece that we helped create.  Paul not only took in our own thoughts on the project, but kept the design of our home and styles in mind.  The book shelves (complete with ladder) is  a dream come true!  Definitely worth more than 5 stars!

Paul Rene Furniture and Cabinetry just finished installing a wardrobe/desk combination in our guest room.  Paul together with our interior designer created a beautiful custom piece which is elegant, functional and high quality.  Paul is very creative, detail oriented, patient and his designs  are very unique and complement our transitional and contemporary elements in the home.  The installation was finished just in time for our guests to arrive.  The installation team is very professional and did an excellent job.  We are very pleased with our first custom design piece.
