I called Mountain View pest control because I had a huge bee problem. They came out the same day and removed the honeycomb that was huge. About five days later they had to come back to respray. I was very happy with their service.
The pictures show where the honeycomb and bees were. Now I have to find someone to repair my pillar.

Do NOT use this company.  I called for wasp removal on a Sunday.  They came out same day! Gentleman was nice, and cordial. Listened to our needs, and then spent 30ish minutes focusing on the area we noted.  We were quoted $150+ depending on the difficulty of removal.

At the same time My landscaper was here and unearthed ground bees.  My husband ask the bee guy if he was able to handle those too.  He said yes.  He never noted how much he would charge.

50 minutes later the man gave us our bill over $350+.  I asked about the fact that the activity of wasps hadn't gone down. He stated, give it 7 days.

At day 5 when the activity was the same, zero increase I called and spoke with the owner, and he noted, I needed to give it 7 days.  On day 12, I called back, and he noted he would have someone come back out and would call me when he had a day/time.  He never called back.  I called again around 3 weeks out, and got his after hours answering team, who took a message.  No call back. I tried several times in between and no one answered.

I called today, and got the owner 9 (after hiding my number).  Explained why I was calling again, and he noted that Wasp removal is not guaranteed, and he could send someone back out but it would cost another $150.  I explained that I had already given him $350+ for less than an hour of work, and that I wouldn't be paying another $150 for him to come back out, and he explained he wouldn't be able to help me and hung up.

He never mentioned a fee to return upon my other calls.  Regardless if he wanted to charge an +add for a fee he may have charged the same day to get all the nests, this would have been fine with me, but he refused to discuss.  Spending less than a half an hour in a large back yard with massive activity is unacceptable service, only to claim no guarantee and want to charge a whole new visit fee!

AVOID.  They just want your money, with zero follow up or customer service!!!

Customer  ware! They tried to charge me 350 dollars plus 100 dollars per nest and after talking to them they dropped the price to 350 complete. They found 10 nest and did the job within 30 minutes and missed a number of nest.

When I called back they told me to give it a few weeks. With COVID-19 I waited due to quarantine and just called and talked to the owner Kendall. He told me it's been over 30 days and I would have to pay full price. When I tried to explain and told him I am willing to pay something, but not full price as they didn't do a good job he told me there is nothing he was willing to do. I told him that I am trying to be fair, but if that's where he stood I would make sure to let y'all know about the terrible customer service.

His reply was to hang up on me.  ware of this unprofessional organization

I originally contacted Mountain View Pest on 5/4/19.  They show up the next morning to provide service to 'remove' bees from my yard, A positive start...but that's where it ended!

They came to my home with a roll of duct tape, (2) 2 x 2 square repellent strips and a 8oz. container of mysterious chemical that they proceeded to dump into my swimming pool.  NOT A GOOD SIGN!

They did not even know if we could swim in the water after placement of the chemical...I watched as the owner scramble to pull up technical information on his cell phone...scary. They had another gentlemen that sparsely sprayed another mystery chemical on the area where I was having issue.  They told me they were going to 'fog', but did not.

It is important to highlight, that they were only at the home for a total of 12 minutes, with a total material cost that could not have exceeded $25-$50 MAX.  They charged me $645 for a service that was completely ineffective, then refused to come back out to remedy even though their contract states and includes follow up visits.

I was extremely patient and polite, waiting the 5-7 days that they claimed it would take for the chemicals to take effect.

On Sunday 5/12, I contacted Kendall (part owner) via cell as he had asked me to do.  He told me that he would be out Monday, 5/13 between the hours of 12-4PM.  He did not show up nor call to reschedule.  I followed up with their office on Wed. 5/15 around 2PM, and spoke to a gal who's name I did not obtain.  She told me that Kendall was on another phone call and that he'd contact me by the end of the day.  He did not.

At 6:02PM on 5/13, I left Kendall several TXT messages requesting that he call me, and his VM was conveniently FULL.  Next I attempted to call their main office number, and the phone simply rang out upon multiple attempts, with no answer.  It is important to note that this company boasts a 24/7 emergency service and had taken my original call immediately. So, in other works, they answer for first time suckers like me!

Feeling like they may have been screening my calls, I proceeded to wait for 10-15 min. then phoned from a blocked number.  Joe answered immediately.  Joe told me he was also part owner with Kendall.  He acted confused, shocked and seemingly knew nothing about my home/treatment.  I let him know I felt like I was getting the run-a-round and not happy with their service and lack of response.  He told me he would have Kendal reach out to me first thing the next morning.  I never heard back.

THIS COMPANY IS A COMPLETE FRAUD!  Nothing but a bunch of scam artists, and as it turns out, they know absolutely NOTHING about bees, their patters nor behaviors!

If I could have given them a negative rating, I would have, 1 star is too nice.

IF YOU HAVE BEEN A VICTIM TO THIS COMPANY...FIGHT! Get (2-3) alternate quotes (which will be SIGNIFICANTLY less) and present them to your credit card and/or banking institution along with detailed description of the materials they used, costs, and time spent at the property and open a dispute claim to get your money back!

Most banks also LOVE Yelp and BBB complaint information as support documentation!

If I could give them ZERO stars I would.

DO NOT...I repeat, DO NOT use Mountain View Pest Control for any services ever! We just used them for bee removal and it was a completely horrible experience. They are a fraudulent scam of a company and should have their license(if it's even real) revoked. The so-called technician(Kyle) provided the service before getting our consent and the amount for the service was asinine. He literally fumigated a gap in our roof for 5 minutes and it was $695! All of this was done without even letting us know cost beforehand, and we never approved of him providing the service. He just started doing it. To make matters worse, the manager Roger, was very unprofessional and rude. When I asked to speak to someone higher, he basically told me no one exists. I was hung up on 3 times. Twice by Roger, and once by Michael. We do not recommend them to anyone, ever.

We have filed complaints with the BBB, The Attorney Generals Office and The Federal Trade Commission.

This company is TERRIBLE. We had a swarm of bees starting to gather near our outside storage area, we were worried that they were trying to find a new home. The guy was hear for 10 minutes, sprayed Inside our outside closet. They didn't take anything out, they didn't offer any price and they tried charging us $495. I was beyond pissed and threw a huge fit. We still have bees flying around and I didn't want them to be KILLED but removed. We can't pay that money right during this economy either, they are straight ripping people off. I told him I would pay him $50-$100. They charged us $100 and left. I called the company to complain because I am very upset with the overall service AND end result. The guy on the phone was awful, he has 0 customer service etiquette and he was not helpful in clearing up the issue. I ended up hanging up because I was simply getting angrier by the second. I got a call back and they told me I would be refunded my $100, I guess we will wait and see. They told me I was not worth it and they don't want to hear from me ever again.

Having a swarm of bees starting to congregate near your home is scary, but I also didn't want them to die just removed. There was no hive either. PLEASE do not use this company, I am a person who is usually very understanding and kind toward others but I also will stand up for myself when I feel I am getting scammed. This company should be ashamed of themselves and the amount of money they are stealing from people. Terrible terrible company and service!

We were totally taken advantage of. We had bees under a shipping container and the truck to move it was attached. Bee Hive was under the container and when the truck started to move it, they went wide. We called a few companies but only Mountain View was able to get there. Too bad for us. They totally took advantage of the situation.
The service person made a weeks wages on us.

As with others on Yelp, it pains me to the core to have to give them this egregiously and preposterously overrated 1 star review. Let me cut to the chase- charged us $450 to get rid of some bees. The guy who came out started DRILLING INTO OUR STONE IN OUR BRAND NEW BACKYARD WITHOUT ASKING. Alas, the bees are still here and when we called them they wanted another $250 to come out again, and then essentially hung up on my wife. Will be contacting the BBB to have this pathetic puppet show of a business fined. Miserable in every regard.

(Yelp, please institute zero stars for criminals like this. )

Don't be fooled by this scam.  I usually research products and services before I commit however I reacted out of urgency and it cost me, a lot.

I was quoted 2200. to remove bee's and hive from under a shed which I declined and told them it was too much. They then quoted me a lower amount of 1400.  I thought odd that they would immediately reduce the quote by 800. and felt scammed in that moment, however I accepted anyway.  They also provided a guarantee for one year 'If honeycomb is present and is removed' (in the same location).

Three months later the bees are back under the shed, Mountain View was courteous when I called and they went to my property to check the shed.  After they checked and called me back the guy told me there are more bee's and a hive for which there would be an additional charge of 1200.  I told him no because I felt like I was being ripped off.  He said I wasn't being ripped off because even thought it's under the shed, it's not in the same location under the shed.  I responded no to the additional charge and that I would also be writing them a bad review.  He asked me not to write the review and I responded that I would.  He then called me a loser before he hung up.  I have never before been treated in such a disrespectful manner, to be called a loser by the company owner was the epitome of unprofessional behavior.

Another gentleman called me back and was courteous when he explained again that the guarantee did not apply because the hive was not in the 'exact' same spot.  I told him I understand however I was not going to pay another 1200. to his company particularly after how I was treated by the guy on the phone who went to my property.  He told me he would go back and exterminate the bee's for no charge but not remove the hive.

Update: After I wrote this review I read other reviews here and many other sites including BBB complaints, all 1 star and to no surprise.  Every review is the same story.  Mountain View Pest Control runs a scam that they unfortunately get away with over and over again, literal, legal stealing from consumers for 24 years.  How they are still in business is a mystery.  I just find it odd that in my experience the owner appeared concerned when I told him I would write a bad review?  All of their reviews are bad.   I let my guard down, fell prey to their scheme and got fleeced, and a hard lesson learned.  At least I didn't fall for it when they tried the second time.

Mountain View Pest Control  is without a doubt  the worst company to deal with  .
We had bees swarming around  a Wishing Well Planter..not difficult to get at,just under  the planter tray, which was filled with artificial flowers.
I called  Mountain View, explained my situation, and they told  me they could be at my residence shortly..(very fast talker, no price  quote)
Techs arrived about 90 mins later,my wife answered the door, I had been in my yard working.
She told them that she would get me,they said, tell him not to come out..
Well,I did...they had already  started to spray  and vacuum up the bees..I didnt have a chance to talk to them about price, until they were finished.
There was no honeycomb and one tech told me there  was 50,000 bees..really..overnight..I don't think so !!
So,1 tech is cleaning up,the other is scribbling  on a receipt..
He tells me its $995 for the removal..
I asked for what..15 mins of work..?
Then I asked him why so much..he said because of the amount of bees, the sprsy, and then the powder, which the cost was in the price ...$300..(Delta Dust..you can get it on Amazon for $22.00 a lb)
So,they are ripoffs,terrible service,and they left a mess.
DON'T USE THIS COMPANY !!!
I couldn't  post my review until I picked a star rating..there wasn't  a negative star rating ,so I had to pick 1..disregard that rating..these guys suck !!!

I just moved into my new house and have a swarm of bee's that appear when the waterfall is turned on. Mountain View Pest Control was my first phone call. After asking a few questions regarding how to find the hive and what they do to repel the bee's, the man who answered the phone (I didn't get his name) quickly replied, We won't be able to do business with you, and hung up on me! When I processed his response and tried to call back, no one answered the phone.
I definitely won't be using or referring this company to anyone for obvious reasons!

Very disappointing. I was charged 400.00 three days ago but the owner did not kill the bees. I called today and was asked to pay an additional fee to kill the bees even though I already had paid 400.00.

I'm at fault for not reading the reviews before calling the business for help. I would not recommend this business and if I could give the business ZERO stars, I would do it. Please read the reviews before calling this business. Do not spend your money on this disreputable, dishonest, cunning, devious company

I'm very sorry that I asked this company for help.

This company is a rip off.  We wanted the bees removed as in removed from the property alive.  Christian was the tech with no safety equipment and in his shorts went up on the roof and sprayed the entire area where the bees seemed to be but the tree branches blocked the vision so he just exterminated the ones he saw.  He told me that these were transitional bees and and moving to other places.  He was told that we wanted the bees saved and removed but he felt the treatment which he denied exterminated them, was the right choice while never giving the price which he stated was $395 after the treatment.  When I called the company to complain, the representative told me the price was usually $695 for the 2 minute spray extermination.  This place is unethical.

All I can say is heed the advice of the other reviewers and do NOT use this company. They were on our property no more than 10 minutes, they sprayed and killed the bees, and presented a bill for $695! Talk about feeling violated. Initially we paid it, but after a few conversations with the owner they finally agreed to charge $350. Our fault for not doing more research but when you find a swarm of bees in your backyard you're not necessarily thinking about all that. However they never volunteered a price quote either. F rating on BBB. Just stay away folks.

DO NOT USE THEM!

I called them and asked them to come out and see a new bee nest in my back patio.  They said they couldn't give me a price until the saw the issue. They came out and put some insecticide into the column where the bees were without giving me a price. They should have looked at the situation and told me the price.  They were at my house for less than 15 minutes.  They said the price was $1,000!

Rip off!  Bait and Switch!

This review is posted late because I was involved in and distracted by large remodel project but I have been meaning to post this review ever since the incident occurred.  I agree with Karl H.  I would give them a '0' star if possible.  DO NOT USE THEM.  On April 20, 2019 I noticed a few bees around an opening near my front door.  I sprayed an 'over the counter' Bee & Wasp solution in the opening.  A few hours later there were more bees.  Suspecting that these were of the 'killer' bee strain I searched for bee removal services on the internet and decided to call Mountain View Pest Control - not checking the reviews first.  Bad move on my part - I should have known better!!!  The person on the phone said that they had a truck nearby and they would be at my house within the 1/2 hour.  At that moment, I thought this was my good fortune and that they were providing excellent customer service. I did not ask and they did not offer any discussion about price.  Because I had paid less that $200 for a bee removal service several years prior on another house, I thought that this call would be something less than $300. Their technicians came out, fumigated the opening, covered it with 'grey' tape and presented me with a bill for $695!!!!  I was in total disbelief!  Their reasoning was that it was so 'urgent' that the call was considered an 'emergency' - which justified the horrendous bill.  This company is a TOTAL SCAM.  I REPEAT.  DO NOT USE THEM!  If you don't believe me - just read the other reviews.

This business is NOT accrediitied by the Better Business Bureau!  The reason's are as follows:

** Advertising issues found by BBB
** Failure to respond to 19 complaint(s) filed against business
** 19 complaint(s) filed against business

I called for a bee removal last month. It went from a $150 quote to a $1000 charge to remove a honeycomb that was in my wall on the side of my house by the roof.  He cut open the side of my house. I asked if they would fix that hole they left on the side and he quoted me $400 to fix it - way too much for that small size hole and after already paying $1000, so I declined that repair. Well what they failed to tell me was that they had also made a huge hole in my roof all the way down to my ceiling. It wasn't until this week that it started raining that i had a contractor come out to figure out why my roof is leaking and he sends me a picture of the nice big hole they left on my roof. Never at any point did either of the two techs tell me they made these holes on my roof. They only showed me the one on the side where the honeycomb was. I called the company and was going told they weren't responsible. He offered to send someone out to quote me for repairs and I advised him his techs and said $400 to make repairs so I would assume they meant to repair everything. He proceeds to tell me the $400 was just for the side hole me not the holes on the roof. How does that make any sense? He is arguing that the techs would have told me about all the holes but yet they only quoted me for the small hole? Mind you, the holes on the roof are no where near where the honeycomb was. This is the worst experience I have ever had with any company. Horrible customer service. The guy immediately got defensive and had no interest in helping me out. Please do not use this company. Biggest regret of my life.

If I could give a negative number I would.  They just out right lie and a coward not to call me back or take my calls. Absolute pathetic company.

Contacted them for bee removal. I told them exactly what are problem was, 2 hives, where they were, etc, etc.. He quotes me a price. I asked about a guarantee.  He says yes and asks for the address.  When my husband meets the technician he asks where the hives are and then charges us the quoted price per two.
When I call the office, he says to me he wasn't aware of there being two. Obviously, he did not listen to my detailed description when I initially called, just to then find out from my husband that the technician asked about the 2 hives.  When I called again to let him know I knew he knew the coward would not take my call.
Horrible way to do business, I will never use them again.
To put the icing on the cake, they don't guarantee unless you pay an additional $1400.00 for them to remove the honeycomb. This was in small print on the invoice.

Horrible!!!  My wife called because we have some old cottonwood trees that are going to be coming down.  There was some bees in them and we wanted them gone.  She called and the person on the phone said they could be there in two hours.  Unfortunately, my wife did not look at the reviews!!  They showed up and I took him to where the bees were.  I thought I was getting an estimate.  No one on the phone conveyed any pricing to my wife.  The tech when he arrived did not talk about any costs.  So I just assumed it was an estimate.  Then after about ten minutes of spray, the tech shows up at my door and says the charge is $695.00.  This business is the biggest scam!  Do not use them, stay far far away from them.

HORRIBLE....  This company is unethical.  I failed to look them up before hiring them to treat bees and wasps in and around my pool.  I was quoted a price and when the gentleman got here, he charged me more saying my pool was too large.  He also stated that the warranty was only good for 30 days.  I challenged him on that because I was not told that.  I would have never paid $250 for a one month treatment. I was then told they would give me 4 months until the end of the swimming season.

I have called them three times in the last couple of days.  Voicemail is full.  Wow, I have learned never to hire someone so quickly in the future.  MY BAD!!!

I don't understand all of these negative reviews except for people just not wanting to pay their bill! It takes a lot of knowledge and skill to safely and correctly remove bees and their hive. I had a great experience with this company! I called and within the hour 2 team members arrived. They were friendly, fast, and efficient. They explained prices before proceeding and the work order receipt states the work is warrantied for a year. They removed a massive killer bee hive that was in a partially underground valve box. I hope future clients realize that the price over the phone is an initial quote until they come out and assess the situation. It's just like when you go to the mechanic ...

DO NOT HIRE These guys are scammers!  READ THE REVIEWS.  While I signed papers at my front door for 5 minutes the other guy supposedly sprayed the bees.  He put on the suit, sprayed, and took off his suit, and drove away all within 5 minutes!?  Scammers!  They did nothing and told me to wait 5 days to call them.  They would not talk to me, actually hung up on me-that's rude.  They wanted $395, when I said no, I can't do that, he drops it $100 in two seconds flat.  They also wanted an additional $995 to guarantee the job-what the heck?  The worst part is that they did not even spay.   I agree with Donna W. very unprofessional, plain rude.

We called this company Easter weekend, now I wish we didn't. The boyfriend wrote a review, which wasn't even nasty, it simply stated how this company didn't stick with their quoted price and up charged some more of 1500. 2-3x what other companies will charge to spray and remove a hive or honey AND do the repairs with a warranty! I called 10 other companies the day after getting quotes from them to compare. Understandably so, they came out on Easter to get rid of a swarm we had by our front door. We are grateful for that! However, once we did our research and saw the BBB rating of F we wished we did better research before calling. 250 for a 20 min service call and no warranty? Then tell us 1500 to remove something out of our drywall and not fix it?

What lead me to write this review was the fact that the owner called us on our personal number 2 days after our service to harass and yell at us on the phone for a negative review we had posted. What kind of company does that!? Please do your research and DO NOT go with this company unless you've got money to waste.

I selected 1 star because there is no lower rating.  DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

The owner totally took advantage of my elderly parents, quoted $150 to remove some bees, spent 15 minutes spaying chemicals and pressured them into paying $300 without removing the hive.  He even told them to use a credit card if they didn't have the money!

$300 dollars for 15 minutes work to spray chemicals into a hole is a $1,200 an hour billing rate, heck doctors and lawyers don't even charge this much, these people are criminals preying on senior citizens

They aren't even a real business, they scam people from their house in Glendale

They have a long track record of the same thing with other folks in the area, please do not use these people.

I was even shocked to find a YouTube video from a gentleman in Glendale who was scammed by Mountain View

AVOID. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. These people are nice on the phone when booking an appointment, but, on the phone, they lied about the price of their service. I was quoted between $150 and $200 for the service. The worker showed up and told me it was going to start at $250. I raised an eyebrow and told him this isn't what I was told. He said this job was bigger (even though he hadn't seen the job yet). He started at $250 and I said, Is that it? After he looked at the job he said he didn't see a hive or honey but for $850 he could saw into my roof and look. Note, he wasn't going to repair my roof and tiles for that $850, but he 'knew a guy' who could fix it up -- for even MORE money.

After demanding $350 he left, stating there is no warranty on their work and won't return if the bees do.

AVOID THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE DISHONEST AND LIE.

Also note -- their truck is unmarked, they don't have uniform or shirts or ID that identify them as from this company. Very unprofessional.

This company is a professional scamming company.  They came to my house, told me i had killer bees, charged me $595.00 to eradicate the bees.  i later found out, from an inspector from the department of agriculture and a professional bee company that i never had bees -- never.  TOTAL SCAM.

In fact, i have wood termites that i now have to spend more money to have treated.

When i called Joseph Mcdermott to complaint, he was rude, unprofessional, and non-compliant.

i am going forward with a complaint against them with the BBB, the Attorney General's office, the Department of Agriculture and am filing a lawsuit against them.

As many others have said, we should have read the reviews before calling to see all the red flags. We called about a month ago to have them spray for wasps that were going into our 2nd story wall and when the person arrived, they charged us for 2 nest removals without actually removing any nests or getting on the roof itself and used a distance sprayer. We were told to give the poison at least 5 days to be effective and that we would stop hearing the wasps, but a week and a half went by and the problem persisted. We called back and they sent a second person to spray once again and even though he went up to the roof and sprayed, once again they continued to come back a mere day later. We called once again to ask why the problem continued to persist and they said to give the poison a few more days. Once again, about 2 weeks later of no change, we called to have them come out a 3rd time (they tried to charge us extra money for returning even though they STILL had not removed the 2 nests that we were charged for). And, just like the last 2 times, the wasps immediately resumed their business the next day (FYI fogging does not leave any residual impact, meaning that it's only effective on contact). No nests were found, no problem fixed.

It makes sense as to why this group is not accredited by the BBB and why they have so many complaints filed against them. Again, we should have checked here first before hiring them for a month of no results.

Super fast and effective bee service. We woke up to a swarm of bees outside and INSIDE our bedroom this morning. Got their number from Google, and they were literally at our house within 10 minutes of our call.  They went right to work and were done within an hour.  Good job, guys.
Edited to add: we did not call around for additional quotes. I see a lot of other reviewers complaining about the cost, but I was not about to sit around for days making phone calls while the bees built a hive in my bedroom. I was happy to pay for immediate service, and it was worth every penny.

DO NOT USE!! If I could give a negative I would. DO NOT EVER use this company. My mistake was in not asking for the cost up front--which is on me.  I needed immediate Bee removal. They came out and sprayed, and left traps (which did nothing).  AFTER they sprayed they told me $1295. Again, my stupidity. The following day, the bees had doubled.  I called and they said give it 7 days.  I called the following day and insisted they come back.  They did, sprayed 3 applications (after the guy said he couldn't believe how many bees there were). Three days later, there are THOUSANDS of bees. They refused to refund my money, saying they would come back out.  No thanks.

STOP!!! - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I called when I noticed bees all over my backyard and had a prompt response. However, the gentleman that showed up to my house looked at the corners of the structure and nothing else. He did not go into the attic or inspect my backyard fully. He then proceeded to tell me the only way to prevent the continuation of bees at my house was to charge $500 for some stickers that are to be placed around my yard. Swiftly, the technician demanded payment and was on his way after ten minutes of being at my home. Very rude, VERY arrogant - this company does not deserve what they charge.

Next, I called the office and informed them of the employee's demeanor towards their clients and he apologetically offered a discount on the bee shield, which was nice, but I had to decline because I felt it was still unnecessary. Here's the kicker... I called back a second time because after talking to a couple friends I was convinced that the work was unsatisfactory and not worth a $95.00 service call. The gentleman on the phone refused to send the tech back to look in my attic and refused to offer any sort of assistance. I proceeded to tell him that I will be informing the BBB of this companies practices. With a large - gasp - the gentleman exclaimed, TAKE A NUMBER! and hung up the phone.

I'm not sure if this company finds it funny that they are basically robbing people by charging extreme prices for minimal service, but customers need to know that this company will not deliver satisfactory work, period.

zero stars if i could.  it's been three days since they screwed me and i'm still ticked!!!!
liars...cheaters...scammers all rolled up into one.  my experience is like the other reviews...5 minutes of spraying and they wanted 695.00!!!!
i refused.  called the original number and spoke my mind.  then the onsite guys said there was a misunderstanding.  they would cut it in half? 347.00
i asked what was the misunderstanding?  a communication breakdown was the answer.
no dipshit...i caught you in a scam. get off my property.
they are playing peoples fears and the bees.

Add us to the long list of Phoenix residents that got ripped off by this company.   Called for bee removal (no hive, just a few dozen bees around the pool).   We were in a hurry so we didn't look at their reviews as we normally do.  One tech came out late in the day and put a few small strips around the pool.   Gave us the same story about they should be gone in a few days.   They weren't.  We called to get them to come back out but they quickly jumped to the no-warranty clause that must be well memorized by them.   Called them back again to see if their management would make it right.  No chance. So for $300, which was quoted as $150-200 over the phone before they showed up,  I have 4 useless strips and plenty of bees.

I am usually too busy to write reviews but I sat down today for a moment and decided that I should at least warn my fellow hard working Phoenicians about Mountain View Pest Control.  They aren't accredited by the BBB, keep changing addresses and phone numbers, and don't use their name when you call the 2526 number.   They just say Pest Control when they answer their business phone.   Too ashamed to say your company name?   All clues about an organization that doesn't stand by their work and is happy to take your money.    The only solace here is that companies like this are usually destined to be out of business shortly.

Had a bee issue today. Went to Google and Mt. View Pest Control had good website. We asked how much approximately and person on phone said $150-200.  When they got here the first thing out of the service man's mouth was you will need the 'extra' super spray which is $300.!!!!
Then to get rid of the bees it's an extra $1500. We told them to use the regular spray and paid $200.  Caleb S. is right they did not seal the hole, they did not remove a hive. They just said they sprayed it. Maybe it was just a machine that made noise and no spray??? Definitely don't use them. Flim Flam.

Don't ever use this company. They are scammers. Quoted $150 on the phone. Got to my home and started working on it before I approved. Charged $300 for spraying some swarms of bees. They did not seal the hole that the bees were coming in through. They did not remove the hive, all they did was spray it. When I called the owner Joe, all he did was argue and say he did tell us the price beforehand. Then he said I was misinformed and didn't know what I was talking about. His company is a total fraud, and I will be getting my money back. Stay the hell away from this horrible company.

If I could give this company a minus zero I would. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I had an emergency situation with bees and unfortunately, it was the first company that came up on Google. I called and someone named Joe answered and said someone would be there in 45 minutes and hung up. Before I knew it a serviceman showed up. He suited up and I took him to where the bees were. He started spraying without letting me know the fee. He then said it would be $695 and it would be higher because he had to go through the roof to collect the hive. I was charged $1845 for the dusting, and hive removal. They said it would be an additional $695 to repair the roof.  I felt pressured to make a decision on the spot. I didn't want to kill the bees and asked about removal not killing, but was told that wasn't possible. I later called the owner and had a heated discussion, letting him know that I hadn't seen the numerous negative comments on Yelp where people had the same feeling of being scammed, that I wanted to cancel any plans to repair my roof,  and that I will report them to the BBB. He agreed to fix my roof without charge. The next day I got quotes from two other companies for the same services, which were less than half of what I was charged and their fee would include the roof repair. AVOID USING THIS BUSINESS. SCAM!!!!!

Actually zero stars, but I couldn't post this until I offered a rating,
I have to say, these guys are the worst in my opinion. They actually made the problem measurably worse. They sure arrived quickly and talked the talk. But they did nothing, As I sit here, the bees are still swarming -- now in greater numbers than ever before -- and I am having to deal with a bigger problem thanks to their supposed work. Then, when I called, they said they couldn't and wouldn't make it right. Oh, and when I mentioned another bee removal person, they said he was a hack. Classy, very professional. I will be complaining to the Better Business Bureau and telling anyone I know. Stay away from this company!

Would give zero stars if I could. HORRIBLE!!!! They started spraying without telling us and then said it would be $700 just for spraying and that it would be $2200 to spray and take the honey comb away. My husband told them that price seemed outrageous (we've had bees removed before) and that he wanted to call a couple other bee removal businesses and check their pricing before we paid that. As he was doing so, the tech called his manager and asked if they should CALL THE POLICE ON US!! Scare tactics to get us to hurry and pay! My husband, who has been to law school, reminded them there was no contract signed and in fact, we didn't even approve the spraying or agree to anything verbally. They were willing to lower the price to $1000 to spray and remove the honey comb and we were happy just to have this company off our property. BAD BAD BUSINESS. I wanted to call the  POLICE ON THEM!!!

You pay for what you get. We were quoted at $95 but I'm wishing we went with the $150 company. Passive aggressive employee made us feel guilty for having bees for him to remove. Job was done but now we have hundreds of dead bees scattered in our yard and still some lingering in the tree. We called two days later for advice how to clean up or when it's safe and were hung up on. Do not rely on amateurs when it comes to your home, especially if you have kids or pets. Do not recommend.

I feel totally taken advantage of by this company. We discovered bees swarming near our front door right after lunch and were in a bit of a panic because we were having 20 people over for dinner the following evening.  I was so relieved that they could come out within an hour that I forgot to ask for a price quote. One hour later the bees were killed, rather than removed, and we were billed $995 for the removal and some preventative dusting.  Buyer beware. Don't act in haste; do your homework first.  Whatever you do, don't fall for the first ad on Google and don't call Mountain View!

Rip off. My mistake for not reading reviews first? My mistake for assuming this company was at least halfway credible. They said they would remove the bees and not kill them, different story when they showed up. They did arrive quickly. They killed the bees and did remove the hives. At first, when I balked at the prices they quoted, the owner got on the phone with me and put the pressure on, trying to scare me. I knew then I should have told them to go, but I had other workers doing repairs near the beehive and needed the bees removed immediately.  They charged me, I am embarrased to say, 2000 dollars to saw open two colums and remove the honeycomb, so that bees would not return, a 25 minute job, and they left 450 dollars of needed repairs to the columns. They only saw them open and do not repair the damage that they do. Call anyone else and save yourself money and worry.

I was out of town and my wife noticed many bees in the backyard and called Mountain View pest control. They said they would come right out (they did). After the employee said you have a major problem and we have to take care of this today!  He then killed the bees without getting permission and never talking about price.  He was there less than 30 min total and then demanded $495!  This is more than 3x the normal price. I feel he took advantage because she was a female alone at home. I called the owner and he refused to do anything. It is my mission to drive them out of business. I'm filing complaints with every agency possible.

I had a bee problem developing near my front door made the mistake of calling Mountain View pest control .. I was quoted $ 350. when I said that was too much I'll call someone else he said since he was there and has his equipment out he would charge me $295 I was leaving town so I had to get it done.. He gave me the whole song and dance,  how he uses the best chemicals available, warranty for 90 days  Blah blah blah.. That was 4/6/15 today 7/6/15  the bees returned in the exact same place when I called him he said it would be $200..NO THANKS.
I would not recommend Mountain View Pest Control he doesn't  even deserve a one star.!!!
I can't believe  he's still in business with all the poor reviews, obviously he doesn't read them..

This company is a TOTAL SCAM  that  takes advantage of the fear of bees.  If you call for an estimate, they have someone in your area to come check it out within the hour (very nice).  However, when they arrive they tell you to stay inside for your safety and they will let you know what is going on.  They then start spraying  for about 10 min. and as one guy loads the equipment in the truck, the other guy tries to extort $2195 to finish the job (which means leaving all the limbs in your yard and the stump for you to deal with).  If you decline that service, he gives you a $695 bill for the 10 min. spray of what it appears to be 2oz of a $62 a gallon chemical?  According to all other companies I called after this, the cost should have been between $115 and $200.  Next day I called the owner (who said he was there for the service) and he would not be reasonable and became very belligerent when I told him I had not approve the service and would dispute the charge with my bank.  I tried twice after that to resolve the issue to no avail.  Today, when I told Mr. Joseph McDermott (the owner) I was filing a complaint with the Att. Generals office and the Better Business Bureau and working to get on Chanel 3 and 15 to expose his business his reply was my technician told me you were old, mean and smell like eggs?  VERY PROFESSIONAL AND CUSTOMER ORIENTED - NOT!!!!

First ever review. I signed up for Yelp just because these guys were SOOO Bad. They got me for $495.00 to spray for bees, but did not kill them. they came back the same day, I called and they said it takes up to 8 weeks. 6 weeks later I called them back to say it was getting worse and could they come out to reapply based on the inflated $495.00 charge. He told me NO WAY!

I called Dobson Pest Control, he came out and dusted the bees and they were all gone in 15 min, total charge, $150.00!

do not use these guys, they are terrible and do not even do the job.

Called this company to come out for an emergency service to mesa to remove bees in our condo. Shortly after calling I called back to cancel service as it turns out our condos HOA would cover cost with their vendor. I spoke with Joe both times. After requesting to cancel Joe told me because it was 30 minutes since my call ( which my call logs show otherwise) he would need to charge me a $95 service fee. I disputed the fee and told him I wouldn't pay it as its an emergency service, and I called to cancel out of courtesy to them. Joe then sarcastically said you can't pay $95? I said I wouldn't and Joe told me to F*** off and hung up the phone. Excellent customer service from Joe and your company. Keep up the great work it sure looks like it's working here on yelp.

All of the negative reviews ring true. No stars! I had bees at the waterline in my pool. Two technicians arrived.  One knocked on the door, took my credit card information and wrote up my bill while the other guy put two pieces of wood (6 inch 2 x 4's) on the cool deck above the bees and hung two 50 cent sticky insect traps in a nearby tree.  The bill handed to me was for $995. I went immediately to the backyard to see their work but they left as soon as I closed the front door.  And again, I was to wait for 7 days for results.   I knew I had been scammed and called my bank to put in a claim. The bank suggested I call the company.  I did and indicated I was not satisfied and wanted a refund. It was bit of a run around with Kendall who said the owners are not in the office. I called the bank back and submitted my claim. Several  days later the nicer sounding of the two technicians called to let me know they were refunding my entire bill. I called the bank to reverse the claim when the funds were deposited in my account.  I got out unscathed. Since I got my money back I debated about writing a review. But here it is.

We just had a swarm starting to form on top of our chimney to the fireplace of our master bedroom.  I could hear the swarm in my bedroom and it sounded scary so I called the first ad I saw and their response on the phone was eager and prompt but I never thought to ask for pricing.  We expected around $450 at the most (from my husband's previous experience and looking online) and when they got here, it was not as bad as we thought and the bees were just starting to build so they killed it right away.  That was $695 service call which I think is pretty high (I did not ask when I called in panic but they did not advice either) especially for the 20 minutes they spent here.  And they said they killed them all including the queen bee which I was surprised because aren't they supposed to save it?  Then they charged us $400 (which was not included) to spray all the wooden eaves around the house. I would have called around first knowing what I know now about swarms. I should have read the reviews but panicked. It's a pity because they seem to be efficient but they should manage their pricing and balance it out with the fact that they would get more business if reviews about them would be better.

Total crooks.  Had a swarm of bees on the base of a little tree in our yard yesterday.   Called our HOA they gave me the number to Mountain View.  Didn't feel like I needed to check anything.  They came in 5 min. Said how dangerous it was. A guy started spraying something on the swarm on the base of the tree while another guy rang the doorbell.  Had us sign a paper then asked for address so he could fill out the sheet.  THEN he said it would be $495.   We were shocked and felt so very stupid.  We paid they left.  DONT EVER USE THEM FOR ANYTHING.  This kind of bee removal should cost no more than $150 - $200 at the most.  Call The Bee Man!   Get an honest quote and service.

Called for bee problem like so many others , I did not read reviews ahead of time or I wouldn't have called . Quoted $150-200 maximum and i gave a very detailed description over the phone of where they were . Guy gets here and says oh it's gonna be $300 ( sounds like the same garbage they pull on everyone ) they drilled a hole sprayed into it and left . I had to take care of everything else all clean up and removal . Never got a call from the business owner about taking care of this situation which makes me feel it's the way they do business . I have been a contractor for 25 years and have seen other companies do business like this it's dishonest .

Well, my story is like all of the other scam stories that I just read.
I own a car stereo shop in Glendale, and I was working Saturday, when a queen decided to fly into my shop and within 25 minutes, I had about 1,500 bees flying around and the numbers were growing by the minute!
So, I googled bee removal and they were the first on to pop up, so being stressed out, I had them come by. He said I'm five minutes away. when they arrived he had me sign a paper so they could get started He never discussed price with me. the other guy went in my shop and sprayed some pesticide in the air and it literally took him five minutes. Then the first guy said okay that'll be $595.00... I almost crapped. them come to find out, it's usually around $250.. I was angry because I was taken advantage of. So (negative 10 stars) for this company... do yourself a favor and call someone else, you might be able to eat that week if you do!

Their name should be changed to CON ARTISTS, INC. Called them on May 5, 2020 to exterminate an infestation of bees near the A/C unit outside. Two guys came and after a very quick look at the situation, told me there was a huge hive in my abutting garage wall. The bees will keep coming back unless they cut out a section of sheet rock and completely remove the hive and exterminate. The cost $2195. No cameras, no proof of what was possibly in the wall. When I refused, they lowered the price to $1495. I refused again and was asked what price would work for me. I told them this is no way to do business and would be seeking other opinions. They told me they started exterminating and would finish up. I never authorized that without a price first. They charged me $295. When they left they gave me a receipt saying they would remove the hive for $700 with a one year guarantee. Prior to this they guaranteed the bees would NEVER return with hive removal. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE RIPPING OFF INNOCENT CITIZENS.

There is no lower rating for an initial appointment I made with Matt and he was a no show with no call and no response to my message. I tried calling 30 minutes after the appointment and when Matt heard my voice he hung up and would not answer when I kept calling. Please do your homework! This company should have a class action lawsuit filed against them. I wanted zero star but not an option. So outrageously expensive! We assumed they would be between $100 to $250. No, $495. Shocked beyond belief. I just wish we would have read the reviews before we called them. They also have a very poor rating on BBB. Was out of town and house sitter found a nest.  Father called them, they came out and $1650 later they removed the bees and the honey comb.  They did a great job on the removal, HOWEVER after doing MUCH research, these guys are overcharging by over $1000 dollars.  Even in an emergency situation, the most it should have cost was $350-$800.  They are way over priced so I would not recommend them because of this.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! !!!!  They will pretend to spray poison to kill the bees, but it's all a front.  They quote you a price to get in the door and then bump it up when he gets there.  We tried to communicate with the owner, but he didn't care and just hung up on us.  We have 4 small children who cannot go outside into our backyard to play.   I will say that the owner did say he would come back out for more money (In the hundreds) and spray again.  This company has poor ratings with the BBB, which I am sorry I didn't check out before hand.   I work extremely hard for my money and it's sad this guy/company has no problem stealing it away.  Horrible owner, horrible company, horrible experience! !!!!!  Don't be the next victim.

My 91 year old Aunt in Scottsdale used this company over the weekend. As with the other reviews I have read she was desperate and called on off hours. They charged $2395 without repairing the hole they left after the removal, but they could recommend someone. The company they recommended (Valley Pro Pest Control) charged an additional $4175 to repair the hole, which took less than 6 hours to repair. They also had her pre-pay for the repair and could only accept debit. Both prices after getting additional quotes were outrageous! These guys are both a SCAM and should be ashamed for taking advantage of an elderly woman. Beware!

CONSUMERS BEWARE!!!! THIS COMPANY WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU!!! I WAS CHARGED $595 for what should have easily only been $80-$150 Bee Extermination!!!!! They took advantage of me in a desperate situation. No hive nor honeycomb was found, they only fumigated with 2 fl.oz. of their pesticide and charged me $595.
My husband was not home at the time of service so I'm convinced they used that to their advantage!! When I called around to three competitors this am they told me their price would have only been $80- $150 and that I CLEARLY WAS RIPPED OFF. They also warned me that  This crooked company has an F Rating on the BBB.
THIS COMPANY NEEDS TO BE RUN OUT OF BUSINESS.
I called them to tell them I wanted a partial refund and he refused, so I said then I will be disputing it with my Credit Card Company and he said  Good Luck!!

Wow, this company stung me today. They asked for over $700.00 + dollars to remove the bees and their honey,   AFTER they started the work. When I said no way, they came back with $300.00, but said no honey removal, and the bees will come back. They were here 15 minutes max. They said no guarantee on bee removal because i refused to pay the $700.00 plus amount.! was expecting a bill of less than &150.00 and more like the going rate of $75.00. I resented paying $300.00, it was not a fair price, it was way to much for their quick unprofessional service. They also drove off quickly with not a care that I was upset;  not a care at all. I knew that I was STUNG!  Before the drove off, I told them I was going to write a bad review but did not expect that I would be in COMPETITION with so many BAD REVIEWS one after another. I FEEL SCAMMED tonight!

EXPENSIVE, POOR CUSTOMER TREATMENT. Called them for leaf cutter bees. They came out within 90 minutes, but that's where the competence ended. The guy that came out was nice and admitted he knew nothing of the species his boss suspected I had when I called. Why send a young guy out without experience in the species? He called his boss for what to do. He then sprayed a natural repellant, which apparently needs up to a week to work. The service rep did not explain that on site. I only found that out when the spray seemed not to work and I called the following day. The manager I spoke with seemed bored or irritated with my follow up questions about the EXPENSIVE spray treatment--$295. I find out after more research this species is hard to get rid of and several applications of an inexpensive dust insecticide available at home stores/Amazon does the trick: DeltaDust. Live and learn!! DO NOT USE MOUNTAIN VIEW unless you like spending money for unclear results and poor follow up service.

Showed up, sprayed some bug spray, didn't remove the hive as stated.Took advantage of my elderly mother in law. Up charged to $300. After complained, lowered to $250. Small hive still there with no guarantee. I had to respray two days later, because since the hive was still there, the bees came back. I ended up removing the hive myself. Also doing business as Same Day Bee Removal - Total scam in business for one year - working harder on getting Google rankings than their actual stated profession.  Very bad service basically exploded chemicals everywhere and left.  I had bees swarm inside my walls and house for a week afterwards because they drove them inside instead of taking proper care of the problem.  No clean up whatsoever - started the upsell from the ridiculous $695 to an even more ridiculous quote of $300 more before they had finished.  I quickly declined seeing that their method was not like other companies I have used in the past.  Too bad I didn't keep that info, but I def should have done some research - was distracted with corona stuff in my family and just wanted help fast.  This is a grab for cash - this is not a company that takes care of clients for an actual business to develop - they are churn and burn - mostly burn...your money.  Stay away if you want to be able to pay for your kid's college credits this semester.

Excellent company! They came out 30 minutes after my call. The technician explained everything he was doing and what necessary steps needed to be taken to remove hive. They also guarantee their work. I will definitely recommend them in the future.

This company is simply here to rip off unsuspecting homeowners.  We discovered a bee hive at our home and when we searched for humane bee removal, Mountain View Pest Control came up as a sponsored company.  We called and they responded quickly stating they'd be here in 30 minutes.  When they arrived, they stated that it would be $500 to kill the bees in the hive.  We reminded them that they advertised humane bee removal- they stated they didn't provide that service and it would be over $1000 with another company to have that taken care of.  We told them that this was not what they advertised and that we were not interested, they stated it would be a $95 service charge for the visit.  We told the techinicians there that we would not pay as they do not offer what they advertised they did.  We called the office again to complain to which the person who answers the phone said - you googled it you fu**ing idiot and hung up on us.  This person and their company should have any license they have revoked and no one should ever give this classless hack any money.

ABSOLUTE SCAMMERS!!!!  DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!  I called this company out for Bee Removal.  Kendall (if that's his real name) is a nice guy who will tell you everything you want to hear and swipes your card right away while distracted by the other guy while asking you to stay inside for your protection.  They arrive in a short amount of time and start getting things set up before you have time to say yes or no.  They want a lot of money for something that doesn't work!  After repeatedly talking to them and asking a lot of questions because I was concerned about the neurotoxins by my sons room and their guarantee, they said they would come back out if the bees weren't gone by a certain day.  I called them today and they won't, now they say it wasn't guaranteed.  Buyer beware for liars and crappy service people that don't do the job and just looking to scam innocent people out of a lot of money!!!  Look at the reviews, nothing good from this company!

Horrible!!!!!! Do Not call this company. They lied and said that it would be a maximum of $200 to remove a killer bee hive under my house. Then when they came out they said $500.00 because they were aggressive bees. Which they already were told before coming out. Then they said it would kill any all all pets inside and outside of the home because they would spray poison under the house! When I called the company number, the man started screaming at me demanding a $100.00 house call and threatened to take me to court if I didn't pay. They NEVER said there would be a $100 fee for just coming to the house. I never let them do anything, just told them to leave.

Bee careful you guys!  (I like to use buzz words to remember things like on a test or if I want to remember something important!!) but this is really sad. I had some bees one late afternoon in March.  I called the first company that popped up on the internet late on a Sunday afternoon and called. Joe took my address and said someone would be there within an hour and hung up abruptly. Before I realized it, there was a guy spraying around the eaves of my home and before even talking to me. I had no chance to ask for assessment or price. He told me afterward about a white powder chemical they can add for $395 and that for that amount, I was also being given a warranty that the bees would not return and if they did, they come back free of charge.  $395 I thought was high and I even told the guy, but I'm not a confrontational person and since he had already sprayed, I thought the powder and the whole warranty idea sounded good, and so I agreed to that. Here's what's so incredible. At the end, he ran my card for $995. As soon as I realized it on the paper receipt I signed, I noted where the amount was written in, and I thought it was an honest mistake that he wrote it in wrong. When I pointed it out, I was told to call the office because that was what my card was charged.  So I called and after talking with Joe, I was left feeling sick. He said the $395 is above the $600 they charge to come out and spray. This was an intentional act to mislead, misdirect, and then defraud.

I would be give this place a negative star if I could. I will start by saying that thank God this company did not come out to my home. I initially called needing for someone to come out to my house quickly to possibly get rid of a minor bee issue at the front of my home on which I was told that they would be there in 20 minutes. My daughter in the mean time was looking this company up on the Internet, thank God. I had some concerns so I called the company back to get some questions answered. At one point in time, the man on the phone said that I sounded annoying and to call another company and hung up on me!  I just had some basic questions based on what I found out about online. Thank goodness he hung up on me based on these reviews the Internet rocks!

Do not use this company.  Wanted to charge me 495 to remove bees and another 800 to get rid of the honey.  I Told him that it was way to much and other company's were half that price after I looked it up.  I told him never mind but he said he already did it.  So.... A ten minute min job is going to cost me that much?!? Never asked me or quoted me a price until after he did it.  Total rip off company!!!!  Only called them because they said they could make it out same day.  Called my regular pest control guy and told me they are a joke!  Do not do not use them!  Rude and try to trick you into spending money!  Should have yelped them before I called.

Homeowners beware. Do not use this company, scam artist overcharging massively . very pushy it makes you feel like you have nowhere to turn when they arrive. After paying $300 for nothing I did my research and found out that for $360 I could have had bee hive removal and all honey removal done for that price. This company wanted to charge over $1,200 for the entire job. If you see this review, do yourself a favor and just move on to another company and ask as many questions as you can. In addition, called management and they didn't seem to care about how I felt about the service, based on other reviews that I'm seeing it doesn't surprise me. These are probably just a group of guys that run around town spring smoke making it appear that they're doing their job but in reality they're just a bunch of scam artist trying to take every nickel-and-dime away from you.

I wish my mother had read these reviews before calling mountain view pest control to remove a beehive from a tree. It would have saved her a pretty penny! Her experience was much like the first review I read...no quote and when the guys were finished 5 min later they told her it would be $500 and told her it would be an extra $100 to remove the actual hive! Isn't that what you're there for?!! Anyway, I've had several HIVES removed from my home in tempe and have never been charged that much. I promised her I'd write this review and she's filing a complaint with the BBB.

Do not use this company!!!! They charge way to much and do not warranty their work.  Had a bee hive and wanted to charge $900 to remove after charging $475 to kill the bees.  We didn't want them to cut our roof open so declined the bee removal.   Didn't realize they didn't seal the hole the bees were accessing until we called another company that charged  $150 and sealed the hole and haven't had a issue since.  Also a  red flag when they have you write the owners name on a check instead of the compnay. Very shady.

Had a wasp problem around my pool, called and they quoted me 150 to 200, they said they had a person in the area and he would be there within the hour, he explained the service to me and said the service was 300, should have known then, but had them do the service.  The service person said to call if nothing is better in a few weeks because it takes times to work, guess what the service did nothing called back, said they would check and return my call, but I had to call back and they say it is preventative and they do not warranty that, worse people I have ever dealt with no customer service.  Do not stand behind what they do, would think that at least they would have come and tried to retreat.

I was out of town and my brother was watching house.  He called me the day after I left and told me we had some bees building a hive in the awning.  Told him to call a pest service a quote.  He called when Mountain view they came out.  He called me while they were on site and told me it was going to be $595.00 for removal.  I told him to hold off that was way too much money, when he went outside to let them know they had already started working and the bees were removed.  He had given credit card so it was too late. When I returned home I made several attempts to contact owner with no reply.  A week later we still had some bees I left another message and they sent someone out so spray. They did not knock and let us know they were back and when I confronted them about how they took advantage of the situation they just took off and told me the owner would call me.  Still waiting.

They are totally unethical and should be put out of business.

I was surprised  to see so many bad reviews. Here was my experience. I came home to a massive amount of bees, I am highly allergic and have a dog that spends a lot of time chasing birds out of the tree where the hive was being built. I googled bee removal they were the first to show up with an ad stating 1 hour response time. I didn't hesitate, I called.  The guy who answered the phone was friendly. Yes, they are expensive and maybe with less panic, I could have called around and got a better price from someone who may show up in a few hours or the next day. I had zero time to spare. These guys were at my door in 15 minutes, they were super friendly and professional. They explained everything to us and I felt were knowledgeable. They weren't selling anything, they were there to get rid of the bees. The bees are gone, did I pay more? Possibly, however I have zero regrets, and I would probably use them again if necessary. I just may try to negotiate a better deal.  I didn't read the fine print, because I didn't care at the moment, but they guy did say there was a guaranty for a certain period of time. I don't recall if it was 30, 60, or 90.

They quote you a price on the phone, raise on arrival, and once they kill the bees tell you that if you don't let them cut out the honey from the house in the next 24 hrs your house will be ruined. They try to scare you after putting you in a bad spot. And they charge like $2,000. And they don't fix the hole they make in the roof/wall. It's clearly how they run their business. I used them based on a strangers referral, I assume it was someone that worked there rather than a real customer. Wish I'd not trusted a stranger I just was having a crazy week. Totally regret the whole thing.

Wow, these guys are the WORST!  I had to call the police on them to get them to leave my property.

Like everyone else, they quoted me between $150 and $200.  When they showed up Joe (supposedly his name) immediately told me it would be $300 because there were a lot of bees.  Within 30 seconds of Joe beginning to fog (saw a sprayer and heard a pump but never saw a fog as they called it), Joe's partner came over and told me there was a problem.  He said they had to climb on my roof, remove tiles and cut a hole in the roof to get rid of the hive.  I told him they would need to give me a detailed list of everything they needed to do and I would relay it to my husband and have him call them back.  Then Joe came over and becam aggressive and nasty.  He wouldn't answer my questions.  I told him he was not a roofer and I would not allow him to cut a hole in my roof.  He started yelling at me and trying to scare me saying if I didn't that all those bees would be in my house (after he had already assured me no bees could get in my house) and there was 100 ponds of honey in there.

I looked at him and told him he was a a dishonest con man and he needed to leave my property.  He refused.  I told him I would call the police and he said go ahead.  Then he quickly said he would leave but only if I gave him 300 bucks.  I told him I wasn't giving him a dime and called 911.  Once the police were there, they said they would accept $75, I told them they would have to follow me to the bank at the the grocery store so I could give them cash beacause I would not allow them to see my bank account number.  Joe's partner said he could run my card and I said I wouldn't allow them accessi to my card information either.  His partner got mad and said forgot it, I'm leaving.  He evidently wanted my bank card information a whole lot more than he wanted the $75.  I have no doubt they would have tried to run it a second time once they got the info.

I'm going to send a more detailed complaint to the AG's office and post more complaints with the BBB warning people to stay away from these crooks.

SCAM! Bait and switch. Quoted 150 shows up wanted to charge 300 because it would require more work. Sales guy Shane got me to pay 250 since they were already there while they started work. By the time he swiped my card, the tech had squirted bug juice into the hole where the bees were and proclaimed all done!  I looked at sales guy at a loss and said 100 dollars more huh? He chuckled and said yep and left smiling. I encourage everyone else who has had them steal money this way to file a bbb complaint asap!

Negative stars!! Called for a quote and Joe said he had someone in the area and they would come by. Once they arrived I couldn't get an exact amount and was looking for live bee removal so I decided to go with another company. I was just the latest victim of this Mountain View pest control scam. I called them on a Sunday and they quoted me $150-$200 then when they got here all of a sudden it was $300. ( Sound familiar ) Minutes later I have another tech telling me for an additional $1000 they need to rip apart my BBQ area and get rid of the hive. They went from $150-$1300 in 2 minutes!!!
1. I have had this process done before and it usually runs $300-$400 for the entire process.
2. WHAT HIVE ???? You couldn't show me a bit of evidence ( a picture, honey, something. ) I don't pay $ 1000 for your hunch. Show me proof of a hive.
None the less after I said that they are performing shady business practices the techs were gone within seconds. The one collected $300 from me and said he need to suit up to help his partner and walked out my front door, 30 seconds later his partner was out my gate and they were GONE ( unlike my bee problem ) They got me for $300 bucks for 10 minutes work. WOW!!!! So I called and asked about my warranty and why they didn't come in and go over follow up instructions with us. I was told there is NO WARRANTY and that they discussed everything with my wife ( which they DID NOT ) . The only thing he told her was we couldn't use the BBQ for a few days because the bees would hang around for 4-5 days( LIES LIES LIES ) Properly done there are a few bees for 1 maybe 2 days. I told them that I was going to the BBB and AZ ROC on them I was hung up on. As I can see now after doing my research on Mountain View Pest Control that won't do any good because they have been doing these kind of business practices for years and they are still in business.
I do take part of the blame because I was desperate and failed to do my homework.
I will be checking to see if there is a legal recourse I can take against the owner and his employees. If it can be proven with all these post about the same con-man practices that Mountain View pest control has been playing on the public maybe there is a criminal case to be filed. Who knows.

This company should be put out of business. All of the reviews are right. This company charges three to four times the going rate for bee removal services. We have used a reputable company on three previous occasions and were never charged more than $140. On a recent Sunday we had bees coming into our home and ended up calling Mountain View because our regular source was out of town and suggested we go on the internet. I wish we had checked the reviews first. For a simple 15 minute spray job they wanted to charge me $595.
I called the owner, Gary McDermott the next day and he reduced the charge by $200 but that was still way out of line. He had no apology. This company just tries to take advantage of people facing emergency situations.

Called them late yesterday afternoon. the tech arrived just at dark in about an hour and a half. Quoted $495, and when I protested at the price, said he would do it for $200 if I paid cash. I didn't have $200 laying around, so he said they would take a credit card.
The tech hooked up a spray nozzle with duck tape to the end of a painters extension pole and sprayed the area for about 10 minutes. He stayed on the ground and didn't go on the roof to examine where the bees were under the eve on the second story. He advised that if a comb existed they would eventually come back. I told him I had the same problem in the same area 7 years ago, they treated it and the bees haven't returned until now. He said he believed they probably didn't remove the comb and that's why they returned. I asked him how he knew the comb was still there without examining the area, and he said he has been doing this a long time and he just knew.
The next morning the area was just as it was before having the bee treatment except with dozens of dead bees laying on the ground in the driveway directly below the treated area. I called the company and an individual who identified himself as Joe said this was normal as it takes a few days for the bees to abandon the area after the treatment.
Two minutes later this Joe called back and advised there was no warranty as I didn't have the comb removed. I politely asked him how did they know if there was a comb when no one went up on the roof to examine the area, and if the treatment would not be effective why would they do it and charge me $200 to do something that they knew wouldn't work. He hung up on me without answering. I didn't know if we were disconnected accidently and called back. As soon as he heard my voice he hung up.
What horrible service and I believe I was ripped off.

As with most of the reviews I have been able to see regarding the 'service' provided by MVPC, I would rather leave a 0 star rating, negative numbers would actually be my preference, but such is the state of the Yelp rating system.

I found them online and read that they would provide what I thought made perfect sense, which was an on-site evaluation and estimate for bee removal service, so I called MVPC for an estimate the following morning.  I work from home and agreed to an appointment the following morning, but when the techs arrived my wife met them at the door they went to work immediately.  I was finishing up a conference call when they arrived, and was delayed no more than five minutes, but when I went to speak with them, assuming that they would be in the midst of the evaluation, my wife met me in the hall indicating that they were asking for $500.00 for the work they had already performed, and were 'estimating' another $1700.00 in hive removal charges.

At this point I went to the back yard and asked for an explanation of charges, one tech was waiting on our back deck and the other was busy 'spraying' the bees, and I was told that the charges were as my wife had informed me.  When I pointed out that they were supposed to evaluate and provide an estimate before proceeding, they said that my wife had 'authorized' the charges, which is not hardly the case.  I asked them to stop all work immediately, then agreed to pay them their outrageous fee, and called their office number immediately, which of course was not answered, and left a message for the owner 'Gary', asking that he return my call to discuss the 'service' performed that day.  I knew at that it would be pointless to argue with them, and decided to let my credit card company do the leveraging for me, so I paid them and sent them on their way.

After thirty minutes, the bee activity in my back yard was so bad that we could not go outside, which is odd when you consider that they were supposed to be dying by this time, so we called around and located another service that took care of the bees immediately, for much less than MVPC's initial charges that day.

Stay away from this business, they do not provide good service, and they operate with questionable ethical standards, to say the least.

I arrived home and noticed a large basketball sized bee hive under the eves of my home. I went to Google and typed in Bee Removal Services. I was lead to a website that listed the top 10 Bee Removal Services in Mesa, Arizona. I selected one that had 5 stars rating called BeeTech. A box came up saying someone could be here within the hour and the cost would be $95.00. I dialed that phone number and had the company come to my house. They arrived within 45 minutes but the company was NOT Bee Tech!!! I am absolutely sure there was a scam to highjack the phone number I intended to call. It turned out that the company that came to my house was Mountain View Pest Control.
Instead of paying $95 for the bee removal, I was charged $645!! On top of that, I was told they had to enter by the roof in order to reach the honeycomb and the roof repair would be an extra $450!! I foolishly had them go ahead and cut a hole in the roof to access the honeycomb. They never showed me the honeycomb and I even wonder if there was one.
I was upset that they killed all the bees. They should have used a product to make the bees go somewhere else and not kill them. Instead there was a huge pile of dead bees on my driveway. The workers scooped up most of them but ultimately left hundreds of dead bees on my driveway. I took photographs but there is nowhere to post pictures on this site.
My message is BEWARE of Mountain View Pest Control!! I would NEVER use them again.

I was totally scammed. I call their number post on their website someone answered on the first ring. He told me they where in the area and would stop by and take a look at the bees I told him about. Showed up an hour later told me it was going to be $595.00 to remove the bees. I told him no and then he was going to hit me with a $295.00 trip charge. There where no honeycomb the hive was only a few day old. They never mentioned a minimum charge or any rates on the telephone. Most companies tell you there is a trip charge up front. I am going to report them to the BBB. I can't believe they are still in business since all the review on yelp are pretty much the same.

If I could give no stars I would... I My Gardner noticed a swarm of bees in front of my home. In a panic I called the number off of a Google Search and talk to a guy named Joe that said he could take care of the whole job for $150. When the crew arrived the price jumped up to $300 with the explanation that it was some special type of bee that is very aggressive and they charge more for it. If the bees were so aggressive why is it that The Beekeeper pest control guy only wore a mask he was wearing shorts short sleeve t-shirt and flip-flops. After forcing payment before service I had no choice but to give them the payment. Five minutes later they came back with all sorts of new charges adding up to almost $1,200 to $1,500 to complete the job and remove all of the bees. The people made me feel very uncomfortable, as a woman I was extremely uncomfortable with these men being so aggressive on pricing and making me feel uncomfortable. Please, just move on and make another choice if you need bee removal do not make the same mistake I did and rush to the first Google search that pops up. My bee problem still exists, I actually have more bees swarming around my home now and they're ending up in my backyard. I called another service company and they did the whole job and removed every single bee plus all of the honey which came out to almost 60 lbs underneath my home for $360.

I don't write reviews but I must in this particular case. I was out hanging Christmas lights and noticed I had allot of bees around my water meter at street. I called Mountain View Pest Control and they said they could be there within 30 min. Upon arrival the young kid did a great job. Entire job may of taken 15 min. I even let him use one of my extensions cords i had out. Afterwards he told me that it was going to be $495. i thought he was kidding because i had 2 other bee removals done in last few years and they we allot harder job. Those previous jobs were no more that $200 each. When i complained and asked about a discount he said I already gave you a discount..I said wow are you kidding. I told him that i would not be calling him again or recommending him to nobody!!

The mistake i made was i should of read Yelp review and asking for a quote before the job was started. but again this is the third time i have had bees removed in last few years.

If there was a zero star I would choose that. I had bees buzzing around a recirculating bird bath and was afraid to lift the base of the fountain incase there was a hive. i called Mountain View and they came promptly. They looked at the bees and said that it could be a hive or just bees looking for water. I asked them if they were going to get bee suits and look under the cover and they headed to their truck to get their equipment . They came back and plugged in some equipment. I asked them if they were not going to suit up and they told me i should go in the house for my protection. I moved a way a little distance and they pulled out a sprayer and sprayed the whole area including the water reservoir. They then peeked under the dome and told me there was no hive. They advised me to shut down my feeder. They wrote up the invoice for a whopping $495. i told them that was a lot considering there was no hive to remove. and they said that cost at least $2000 dollars. Since i had not pre negotiated a price I paid up. After they left I discovered that the spray was oil based and was on all over my potted plants and within the pump in my reservoir. It took me two hours to clean everything and discard the chemical in a safe place. When I called to complain the owner, who was one of the guys who came, was very defensive.
This is a scam and I would strongly advise everyone to stay away from them. They are NOT professionals and their charges are out of proportion to what they do.

I called them on Saturday in a panic because I have a bee hive.  I was told the cost was between $150-$200, when they got there is was $300 and another $200 to cut the branch. They were there about 15 minutes.  They were two young guys that looked like they just woke up.  He also said that my landscaper would not cut the branch down and they did.  I kind of panicked and should have used someone else.  I called them today to check on the hive to make sure the queen was dead and they wanted another $90.  I learned my lesson and should have shopped around.  I still have bees,

Do not use this company. They came out to remove a small wasps nest and assured me that they would spray so that the wasps wouldn't come back. Less than a month later, wasps in the same place! When I called them about this I was told that when they said that the wasps wouldn't come back, what they meant was that they killed the six that they found,  so how could they come back? Seriously? Funny how other companies I have called today after getting shafted by Mountain View have said that their residual spray keeps wasps away for at least 3 months and yet today, Mountain View said that it wouldn't guarantee any time that new wasps wouldn't set up camp in the area they sprayed.
I couldn't be there when they knocked down the tiny nest so, after reading other people's reviews, it wouldn't surprise me at all if they just didn't spray anything. Not only was I lied to over the phone when I hired them but it clearly states on their website that . We finish the process by treating the area with a residual insecticide that will eradicate the bees over the following days ensuring that they will never return. How misleading can you get?
Bad, bad business.

Be careful. They told us over phone the charge was $295 for bee and honey comb removal. They came out and directly asked for the credit card without going through the work items or terms and when asked for the receipt, they said that they will provide receipt after the work is completed and charged $295 /-, and started spraying for bees before they even told us the option we have chosen or other options and what they would cost even after asking for it.  After spraying, one guy came in and provided receipt and no guarantee was tick marked without we being made aware of that. They were in property for  less than 15 min!  I tried calling the owner to discuss this, but he hasn't returned my call.

Don't use them !!!

Actually, no stars. Shame on us, a total rip off. The quote kept going up, for 10 minutes worth of work. From $140, to $300, to $600, and finally it was $900. Should have read the reviews, and also noted the F rating from the BBB.

Do not use this company. We asked how much it would be on the phone, they said they would need to see the bees.  They got to the job, we asked how much, they said they would need to spray 1st.  They were here a total of 5 min. Gave us a bill of $595.00.  This company is a fraud. Stay away from them.

OMG. What a rip off. They are the kind of business that has only 1 time customers due to the customers ignorance of Mountain View's practices. I don't know how these people even sleep and night. Jesse James had a gun for heaven's sake.

We had a terrible experience with this company.  Prices were excessive and service was ineffective.    Only when we called them back to try again to fix the bee problem that the first attempt did not fix did they disclose their service was 'non-warrantied.'  Translation:  they are not interested in performing the service.  I encourage you to do some research before selecting a bee removal vendor.  Yelp and the BBB can provide valuable information.

Not impressed at all. Called the number on the website due to it being Easter Sunday and were one of few open around 5:30pm which I can appreciate. Spoke to someone who didn't identify himself and told me the price would be between $150 and $200. When the tech arrived, he immediately got out of truck, quickly looked to the problem just says well this is going to be $250, I can already tell, and failed to provide an explanation at first. There was no hive like one sees in trees or plants, etc. they were just around the fascia board in a small area. He sprayed for a few minutes in two areas, got off ladder and came back and goes you are all set. He also told me there was honey in the wall, that is what is attracting them, and that he has been doing it for 6 years and he just knows and that it will continue to happen. Again I asked why it was higher than was quoted on the phone, and was provided no further explanation. He then said that I am not eligible for a guarantee/warranty due to the honey. Said they will keep coming back, and that if I want his company to do the repair work needed, it was minimum $1500, and they wouldn't be responsible for any home damage or repairs to the house nor the repairs to fix the house and that would be out of pocket additional with another company. He then told me to save money to start cutting into my own drywall to help locate the problem before calling for the removal as we couldn't exactly pin point the problem on which wall it was. I would recommend go elsewhere. I get it that it was Easter Sunday and I can appreciate the prompt response, but $250 for being out there for less than 25 minutes, and not even honoring the price quote on the phone is wrong. How could you provide such limited service, yet charge more than what you said over phone, and also not give any warranty when you didn't even have to remove a hive.

And to further the negative experience, I don't appreciate a direct phone call with an aggressive tone, using profanity and calling me a liar multiple times two days later based on my yelp review. Telling me I wrote a sh***y review. I have every right to voice my experience.  That is now how you handle business. Clearly other reviews share similar thoughts as I do, and after speaking to multiple companies since, they all apologized that I went through Mtn. View, and one even hit the nail on the head and knew it was your company directly based on description of what I said to them. What does that tell you? Tech told me to not call them again when the problem re-occurs. This is not an exaggeration. Not a way I would do business. You don't get satisfied customers when you act that way, and I should have looked first to notice your current F rating on BBB. DO NOT CALL MY NUMBER AGAIN AND IF YOU DO I WILL REPORT IT TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AS WELL AS THE MARICOPA COUNTY GOVERNING BOARD FOR ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES.

Called this company yesterday because we suddenly had a swarm of bees in the upper level of our home.  Will say they came out within the time frame quoted, but after no more than 20 minutes going through the house and spraying the areas where bees were found, we were charged $495 for the service.  In conversations with others who have had bees exterminated, we learned that we paid 4x what most other services charge.  Shame on me for not checking their BBB rating, which is an F!  Note that bee removal does not mean they remove them, they only spray and you are left with the mess of removing the dead carcasses, which in our case are thousands of bees.  Absolutely do not call this firm if you have a bee problem!

If you have a Bee problem do not call this company. They kept calling me to increase the price for bee removal which they did not do. Started at $ 195 and ended up paying $ 395 and the Bees are still there. The final call was they wanted $ 1,000 to break my wall and remove the bees. I would up calling another company that was rated 5 stars on yelp. This is not the company you want for your service.

Do not use this company. I recently called to have them remove some bees that had started a 'nest' the previous day. Since I caught it early the gentleman quoted a charge of $150 - $200 to kill them. The guy arrived and put foam on the bees and then presented me with a bill of $300!!  I complained to him and called the company and complained about their unethical practices. He refused to honor his quote!  DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY'S QUOTE!!

After reading the reviews, I feel compelled to share my similar experience that took place this year (4/2015) when we had a bee swarm in our backyard.  At first I was impressed because Joe set up for a technician to arrive at my house within the hour.  Joe gave me a quote and I clarified the quote with the technician upon arrival to my home.  The technician agreed with the price quote and then I showed him the bee swarm in the backyard.  He told me the price would be $100 more.  It was a bait-and-switch situation.  I was upset, but I had bees flying around so I paid the price.  I told him that if the rate was variable they should have told me that over the phone or when I asked upon arrival to my home.  The technician treated the bees in the backyard for 10-15 minutes and left.  I called the next day because I still had a bee swarm in the backyard.  Joe told me that I needed to get in touch with Gary the owner.  It took several messages to get a return phone call.  The technician came back two days later.  The second treatment worked and the bees are gone, but I will not use them again for future services or recommend them to others.  The price increase made me feel taken advantage of and the customer service was poor.

SCAM Company! Quoted me no more than $200 on the phone to remove a small bee hive from my home and then tried to charge $350. Dropped it to $250 when we complained.  They had us sign the invoice and for the charge before telling us they didn't remove the hive, just smoked out and stunned the bees. They told us we needed to step on them before they woke up!?  - which I did for 20 minutes that evening.  I called the office to complain and they said it would be another $800 at least to remove the tiny honeycomb (1/3 basketball size). F rating with the BBB. Their website says they are the officially recommended bee removal service for the City of Phoenix and Phoenix Fire Department and THIS IS A LIE! I called both and they said they didn't know who they were and would contact them to take that information off their site. They also say they are affiliated with the Peoria Chamber of Commerce and THIS IS A LIE. I contacted them and they emailed me back and said they are contacting them to have them remove their name from their website because they do not want to be affiliated with them. I have complained to the BBB, Attorney General, Chamber of Commerce and Channel 12 News. DO NOT USE THESE SCAMMERS! BAIT AND SWITCH ALL THE WAY!

Wish I had seen these reviews! I had them come out as there were bees swarming my tree and wasps. They sprayed for a few mins and charged me $350. Bees were less for a day or two then came right back. Called to tell them and they said they would call me back and never did. They also have a contract that guarentees swarm removal for up to 90 days but told me that there were no guarentees and they couldn't predict what the bees would do.

If I could give a negative star I would, they came out & sprayed for a couple of minutes to remove bees then told me for $450 that they would remove the hive but if they didn't there might be a few bees left over. The day they came out there were double the number of bees, my husband called them & they stated that within a day there would only be a few left. It's now a day later & there are so many bees that we can't go near our front door. The bees have started a second hive on our eve & when we call the tech that was out here he changes his story! DO NOT use this company!!! We only used them because they were as seen on channel 12, now getting 12 on our side!

Absolutely the worst company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with and that includes used car salesmen.  I had a small swarm of bees on the side of my house with no hive present.  Being that I have a toddler I decided I would call and have it evaluated to ensure they weren't building a hive.  I went outside to quickly show the technician the location and went inside to feed my son breakfast.  The technician went ahead and sprayed chemicals without quoting me a price or even saying he was going to spray.  10 minutes after I went inside he knocks on my door with a bill for $500!!  I contacted the owner of the company who could not have been more rude and told me that even though other companies charge on average $150-200 he charges $500 and to take him to small claims court.  Well I'm going to do that and I've already contacted the BBB to file a complaint as well as the office of pest management.  They are well aware of this shady character and encouraged me to tell everyone that deals with him to file complaints.  I will be contacting the Arizona attorney generals office to file a complaint with them as well.  Hopefully if enough people contact the ag they can shut this place down so they can't prey on the residents of Phoenix anymore.  I also contacted abc15 and channel 12 news and both of them already had complaints on their desks about this company!! If anyone has had similar experiences please post it on Yelp, Facebook, etc. I'll be posting on Facebook as soon as I'm finished with this.

Be very careful with this company; be sure to read all reviews about them available online and see their BBB rating before deciding to go with them. Unfortunately, we did not read reviews and see their BBB rating before we called them to our house and now we are short of $95.

Here is what happened.

We have bees on our roof. Googling for bee removal brought up Mountain View Pest Control. On the phone we asked for an estimate and we were told we would be provided with an estimate once their technicians come to our house. They come very quickly, which was good. We talked to them and asked for an estimate; they told us they would first have to check the bees/hive and then would provide an estimate. They lied. Instead of providing a cost estimate like they said, they got up on the roof and sprayed the bees. Then they came down and told us to pay them $395 for bee removal. Not only is this an outrageous price (other companies charge less than $100, based on my research) but they never asked for our permission nor did they bother to tell us how much they would charge before actually doing the removal.

We haggled with them and they agreed to invoice us for $95 for inspection and estimate. They showed us receipt and asked for payment. We paid them... and then they ran off with receipt, telling us we would get the receipt after we paid the whole $395.

I tried to call their company number but the guy on the other line -- who identified himself as Gary -- said his technicians told him that they (the technicians) informed us of the price to remove bees, received our permission, removed bees, and now we are refusing to pay. That is not how it happened and I tried to explain this to Gary; however, he said he would not talk to us and closed the phone. He is now ignoring our calls.

To top it off, I walked outside after Mountain View Pest Control left and found the bees (and hive) are still there! I'm not sure what Mountain View Pest Control did but they surely didn't remove the bees or the hive.

We are now out of $95 but I'm glad we didn't pay these guys the full $395 they were asking for.

I'd recommend everyone take away from this company.

They have an F rating from the BBB for a reason.  They charge approximately five times the amount charged by others for bee removal.  They upcharge for honey removal.  They only stayed at my house for ten minutes.  Bees still remained.  And I noted bees in a new area in my yard.  They advised via phone that this was normal.  I made them come back, and they reported there was nothing they could do.  I called a different company who had to redo what Mountain View did because they did a sloppy job and left behind wax which would attract more bees.  In addition, new company informed that given what they saw there would have been no honey to remove.  Furthermore, there was a second hive in a location Mountain View inspected, but claimed nothing was there.  Mountain View charged $590.00 for incompetent work, other company charged $165.00 to take care of hive, repair roof, AND fix problems caused by Mountain View.  I complained to Mountain View with no response.  I filed complaint with BBB. NEVER use this company!

ZERO STARS!!!  Shame on Channel 12 for having this company on their channel and leading the rest of us to believe in it based on the Channel 12 name!  My next email will be to Channel 12.  What a frickin' rip off this company is!!!  Everyone else is in the $80-$150 range, so, shame on me, I made an 'assumption' it was similar.  Yes, I get it, buyer beware - my fault, but it hit me a minute later that I signed an iPad without seeing a total.  Wow, again, shame on me!  LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.  FIND THE SAME SERVICE FOR HUNDREDS LESS!!!  CHANNEL 12, YOU ARE NEXT!!!

!!!!BEWARE!!!!
I had Mountainview come out yesterday to take care of a hive I had inside of my roof. A gentleman came over within an hour and I showed him the problem. Without giving me a quote or having me sign anything, he went up with his ladder to check for a hive. When he came down and informed me that there was a hive that had to be removed, he told me that the extermination was going to cost $495 and then it would be an additional $400 to remove the hive. I had to call my husband at work to see if we could even get that amount of money. I went back outside to tell him to hold off on the extermination, and he said that he had already done it and I owed him $495. He wouldn't leave until I paid him.
My husband found a way to pay for that and the hive removal. A whopping total of $895! And that does NOT cover what it will cost us to repair our roof now that the hive has been removed!!!
Update:  2 days later, bees are congregating four feet from where they originally were.  They either didn't remove all of the hive, or they installed a second one.

After reading these reviews, I am considering legal action.  This company is utterly fraudulent and does not deserve to be in business.

BEWARE!!!! This company is a huge scam. I had them out for Bee removal in our Arizona Room, they came out and sprayed the chemical to kill the existing Bees but not removing the nest.Charge was $495. To remove the nest would have been $1800 more. I ask why soo much, and the response was the chemical used is very expensive. Their entire time here was about 10 minutes. After they left, I Google'd the company and found all these other negative reviews and realized I had been taken for a fool. I called my bank and asked to cancel the check. Well, guess what, they immediately cashed the check just after leaving my home. This company should not legally be in business.

Do not use this company!!! They have an F rating with the BBB and they deserve it.  They came out and started spraying for bees before they even told us our options and what they would cost.  After spraying, one guy came in and told us the charge was $200, but there was no guarantee because the hive was under our water feature.  He told us they would dismantle and remove the water feature for an additional $900, which I thought was high, but my husband is extremely allergic to bees so we said to do it.  Fifteen minutes later they were done.  They moved 2 boulders, removed the honeycomb and left!  They were there less than an hour!  I tried calling the owner to discuss this, but he hasn't returned my call.  They need to be put out of business.

Don't be fooled by their professional website & recommendations. Me thinks NOT, no way. I dealt with JOE, who was the worst. He quoted me a couple hundred dollars to handle a hive in my 93 year old friends home in west phoenix. After the job they jumped the bill to 500, bait and switch. They just smoked the bees for a few minutes and then gave another quote of 1,500 to remove the hive! Saying that they wouldn't repair the wall or wood just remove the hive for that. My 93 year old friend on social security could not afford that, or the rest of his overpriced bill. They called to threaten me and my friend. Joe is a schmo, unprofessional, and overall just an donkey. My feeling is this company preys on retired people and is overcharging everyone. Do not call Mountain view pest control, their address is different on the website than it is on yelp, my guess is they are trying to hide. They have like 4-5 numbers, seems shady because it is. The do not care about repeat business, they only care to make a quick buck. Just awful, the owners should be ashamed to have a schmuck like Joe representing them in this manner.

SCAMMERS - DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY. Although they may have a license and pretty website - they are scammers. Their response - We have been in business for over 20 years - fantastic - so you have scammed thousands of people over the years - congratulations.  They take advantage of people with their outrageous prices. They will come to your home, overcharge you, damage your home and then refer you to another company (who they are clearly in cahoots with) to fix your roof. This secondary company is another pest control company (who isn't licensed in contracting and/or roofing) and they also come with outrageous prices. If you speak with ANY other bee company in the valley - these folks are known for overcharging by 30 - 60% and even show nests/honeycombs that they didn't even find on your property. They will be hearing from us in the near future - I will NOT allow our family to be treated like this. Scum Bags.

NEGATIVE STARS ----DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!  Total Scam. Tell you an an initial quote and then use scare tactics.  They gave me a quote for extermination ($495) and then another $600 to have the honeycomb removed (plus the money I'd have to pay to have a contractor come out and repair that).  I told them I needed to call my spouse to see what they said.  I came back outside and told them we wanted to wait.  They had already started spraying and told me I owed the $495.  I should have told them I wasn't paying  - but with tons of bees swarming around - I didn't know what to do.  They were in and out within 15 minutes - and I'm out $495 - and still have bees. Painful lesson on my part.  Will not happen again. THIS COMPANY IS HORRIBLE

TERRIBLE COMPANY!  I wish I had read the reviews before hiring Mountain View Pest Control to come remove bees.  I was charged $499.00 for bee removal compared to $120.00 from other companies.  The bees never left and when I called regarding their Guarantee they were rude and reluctant to come back and take care of the problem. They said it would cost an additional $500.00 to resolve the problem because the honeycomb was not removed when they exterminated the first time.

I would give a negative star rating!!!
We had a bunch of bees swarming around the corner of our house and I called this company. Shane and Joe came out and looked around and said there was honey in our roof. When they came and told me about it, they said it was going to be about 1500.00 to remove the hive, kill the bees and rip apart our roof. I asked them if they looked around the house to make sure there weren't any more bees around since we noticed a bunch swarming around the front of the house too. They said yes, which they clearly did not! Because a week later, we had to call another bee person to come out since there were a ton of bees out front. My husband wasn't home so I called him and he knew how freaked out I was so he said for the guys to do it. They did and ripped apart our roof for 1500.00!!! So of course we had to get the roof repaired which cost another 1200.00 to fix the mess they left. The other bee guy that came out said Shane and Joe made a huge mess and didn't need to be done the way they did it. Totally got ripped off!!! We will not be recommending this company to anyone, and we will be contacting the BBB!! I cannot believe we let your guys rip us off to do this job!!! What a huge disappointment!!

My husband called the company and told whoever it was on the other end how you all ripped us off. Then the two guys had the nerve to show up wanting to take care of the other bee problem we had!! Was going to charge us a price and then lowered the price when my husband told them to leave. Your company is a disgrace!!! Very disappointing!

I only wish I would have checked yelp first, as now I see many 1stars given to this rip off business...... this company does not deserve one star..I called, as over a period of 40 years I've used maybe 4 different bee guys, as the bees love the columns in the courtyard..I go many years w/o bees, but they work their way back..mother nature..I have never been charged over 150.00 ever.,so...I didn't even think to ask, how much, thought everyone was in a competitive price range... I didn't say it was an emergency, they came in a short period of time, I thought that was cool, little did I know it would cost me 495.00 for a 10 min job...15 at the most...& to put tar over the top of the hole, well, that would be an additional 300.00...I'm like WHAT???? 500.00 for a bee call..it's just now been told to me I'd been taken to the cleaners....& after a major debate w/the serviceman, & then calling the boss, to be told that is their standard fee, just to start to eliminate bees..anything else you'd have to mortgage your house..........DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU HAVE MORE MONEY THAN BRAINS...I got nailed this time...I have been in business over 28 years & it does not fend well to gouge clients... it's too bad you can't give zero stars....that's where this rating should be...

If I could do no stars, I would. I'd like to start by saying that I didn't actually use their services because my short experience on the phone with their unprofessional and unfriendly employee made me think twice. I called at first just to ask a question and once I asked my question, the man answered my question with a short oh that won't work but I can send someone out and the second I said I don't have any money, he cut me off with ok then goodbye and hung up! I called back and said we must've gotten disconnected (giving them a chance to make up for being so unprofessional) and I started explaining my situation again and this time they just hung up. I was just shocked at how unprofessional this person was so I also left a bad comment for the company directly on their website. I called another bee exterminating company, Bee Logic, and the women that answered was more then helpful and I ended up hiring them and they'll be here within the hour. She listened to me, explained why what I was doing won't work, then offered her services at 50% off because they were running a special for regular exterminations. Don't go to this place, go anywhere but this place. If they couldn't even answer a question without me making a purchase, they don't deserve to be in business. Customer service is a huge part of sales and bee exterminator's rely on sales just as much as any other business involved in sales and this mountain view place knows nothing about customer service or how to take care of future customer's.

WARNING!  DO NOT USE THIS PEST CONTROL Service, unless you want to get Stiffed. CHECK OUT THE BBB  BEFORE YOU HIRE THEM, Wish I had done that.   I called and they immediately responded.  I thought they would show me what the problem was and give me a quote or option to do the service. The bee guy told me to go inside while he checked the problem.  He proceeded without my approval to do the work, They DID NOT, give me the option of accepting or denying the service, he just did it.  CHARGED ME $495.00 for 5 minutes of work. When I called the Office and spoke to JOE, He was argumentative and threatened me with a lawyer if I did a charge back on my credit card. He said read the print on the paper at the bottom of the page.    Your reviews speak louder than words.  Tell me what you did for $495.00 in a 5 minute time frame, while you told me to go inside?  You didn't speak to me about the problem or got my approval on ANYTHING,  you didn't cut or remove any boards.  Like you said JOE on the last phone call, your calling your lawyer, I will wait for his phone call and I will fight it in court.  Your a scammer and unprofessional to say the least.    And yes this work was done by Mountain View Pest Control  602 494-2526  and the reason I'm stating this is because you seem to deny this on some of the reviews in this website.  Stating that we must have the wrong Pest Control Service!

If i could give a negative star rating it would be off the charts.  This company is absolutely horrible!! Now here come the facts.  I called them to come and remove some bees on 7/6/2013 and to their credit they did show up quickly.  They sprayed for the bees and said that I will see some bees for the next few days but they should die down Well 2 days later 7/8/2013 the bees are still there and are even worse!! When I asked for them to come back because they never killed the bees in the first place, they said There is no warranty and you have had honey in your walls for over a year so we will not come back I explained that I understand the Warranty however, that would apply IF you ever killed the bees in the first place.  This is where he called me negligent and that he would not come out.  The technician even told me that the bees would be gone at least until next season.  This did not happen.  I strongly recommend that you stay far away from this company.

This company is overpriced and took advantage of my wife today.  She saw thousands of bees swarming in the back porch and was concerned for the safety of our three yound children.  Mountain View Pest Control was the first company that came up on the internet.  She said that they answered the call and hung up before she had a chance to get a price quote.  They came out within two hours and killed the queen bee.  They said that there was no established hive.  They charged my wife $595.   This price is highway robbery!  I looked around and most of the companies that have prices listed on their websites are $125 - $200.  If you are in a jam and need to have bee's removed, call ASAP Bee Removal or one of the other companies that have positive reviews and charge fair prices.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. LOST FAITH IN MANKIND. The ad says that they will show up within 1 hour of calling them. They did. They showed up 15 minutes later. They went out to the pool area to see the bees as I herded the children inside. Back they came 5 minutes later, informing me that they had fogged the entire area, the pool cover and everything with pyrocide. $400.  Did they give me an estimate? No. I did not ever think that 2 minutes of work by two men that couldn't have had a lot of professional training in anything could cost that much! Should I have paid them? NO. I wish I was not so naieve. Live and learn.  The BEES are still there. AND, they won't return phone calls, they even hung up on me when I called the workmen number after having little success with the office number and upon hearing that I was having frustration calling the office number, they promptly HUNG UP. I was not exactly being rude. But I WOULD NOW.  NEVER, NEVER, use these guys. If your insect problem clears up, you didn't have one to begin with.

I would give them 5 Negative stars....what a rip off....an attempted rip off in my case.  I called them to come out to remove what I thought was an easily accessible hive about the size of a basketball.  When they arrived I took them to the tree next to the side walk and what I thought was the hive was gone.  They explained it was a swarm...no hive.....there was only a few dots of a yellowish substance on a branch....no bees.  They assured me the bees would be back however and that they were going to spray the approx. 4-6 inches of branch.  As they were preparing to spray I said by the way how much will this cost expecting it to be maybe $50......then they told me $595.00....SERIOUSLY I thought they were kidding.  I immediately said no thanks and yet they insisted on charging me a $95.00 service call fee.....THANK GOD I stopped them before they started a 5 second spray.
When I called initially no one told me about any of their charges.  They prey on the unsuspecting and take price gouging to the highest level.  NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!

This business is terrible.  I had them out to spray for bees which took them all of 5 minutes and managed to charge me $200.  They said the bees should be gone after 3-4 days (their website says 1-2).  I called after days to reschedule another spray because the bees were still present and the owner, Gary McDermott, said it can take a week for the bees to be gone.  So now I have 1 company giving me 3 different time frames.  I called them again after a week and they said they would have to charge me again to come out.  So much for a guarantee.  This explains why Mountain View Pest Control has an F rating with the BBB.  There are many other companies that do the same service for half the cost.  Don't use Mountain View Pest Control.

I have thought long and hard about this and I don't think there has ever been a company that is more dishonorable than this one. I had a very small bee problem so I called the first company that popped up on a Google search and when I called, they asked for my address and said they could be here in 15 minutes. No questions, no price quote, no communication period. Two men came out, one who said that it was no problem and that he could take care of it right away and started to walk quickly to his truck to get his bee suit with again, no price quote.I yelled out to him about what the cost was going to be and obviously disappointed, he walked back and said that it would be $495.00. I had my bags packed to go out of town and was already running late so I bit the bullet and said to go ahead. (My bad). Then the 2nd gentleman followed me into the house to look at the ceiling in my laundry room to see if we could hear the bees in the attic and after the other guy outside has started spraying, he tells me that the treatment isn't going to work unless I let them tear a hole in the ceiling to get the honeycomb that the bees have surely started to form. His contention was that even though the spray would kill the current bees, the poison would wear off and bees that flew by in a week or so would surely smell the honey and the problem would start all over again. To tear down the ceiling and get the honeycomb could be done for a mere $1000.00! That however would not cover the cost of putting up a new ceiling. That would be my problem at my additional expense.  I then realized how stupid I had been to use these people at all, said no, paid them and haven't stopped cursing by stupidity ever sense. I did however, buy some spray foam when I got back into town and sealed up the bees point of entry. I have not had a problem since.

I had Mount View Pest Control out to spray for Bee's; the quote for this was to be between $150-$200 dollars; since the bee hive was bigger they charged me $300 .  They came out on 6.10.16 and sprayed and I was told that there was a bee hive with honeycomb present; they could remove the hive and honeycomb for an additional $1500, which I just didn't have the money to have this done.  I was not told by the employee that by not paying to have the honeycomb removed that they wouldn't guarantee their work.  As of today 31 days later the bee's are still there and the company will not honor their work.  I asked them what would the price be to have them back and and he (Joe) said the same price as before which was the $300.00.  They would cut the price or offer any other scenario to help with the situation.  I would not recommend this business to anyone.  They are just money hungry and not willing to help out their customers.  Terrible customer service.

If I could have put 0 stars, I would have. Company charged us 300.00 for what was originally quoted 150.00 and was only a 10 minute job to smoke out the bees. They drilled two holes in our column on our house and told us there was a massive 20lb beehive to be removed, quoted us $1400 to just remove the hive and not repair. We had another company come out the next day for a second quote and told us that there was not a beehive in the column. The man spent 30 minutes of his time (NO CHARGE) to make sure the bees were gone and there was not a hive in our wall. He said, You guys have been charged way over price already, I would not even think about charging you more. I called the company to request my $ back for the lies and the owner Gary said, My guys don't make mistakes. Has he read the reviews on his company? He does not even respond to the BBB complaints, so why would he care? Do not be scammed by this company.

OK called to have them come out to assess the bee issue I was having. Their tech Joe showed up and I asked him to check it out. He suggested I go back inside while he checked it. After about 10 min he said that we would have to rip out our roof at $800 to remove the hive. This did not include roof repairs! He then said I owed $200 for killing bees but the bee swarm was as bad or worse than when he showed up. That was allot of money for an evaluation. Today the swarm is worse than ever. When I called the owner he didn't answer and went to voice mail and stated to call Joe for an emergency. Absolutely not happy at all. Recommend you do not use this company!

Very disappointed in the service.  They removed one hive, left another.  When I called them about it, they called me a liar.  Felt they took advantage of me as an out of town owner.   Called the owner who didnt return my call but did charge me $200 for the service.

I usually read reviews before I contract anyone but was in a hurry. Contacted Mountain View Pest Control and they promptly responded. I asked for a quote before they started work and was told they first had to assess the problem and then let me know. the guy put on his bee suit and starting spraying some kind of white powder on where the bees were entering the house. After about a minute he comes over to me and tells me it will be $495 to kill the bees and $950 to open the ceiling and remove the honey comb. I balked at the price and said I needed to get a couple more quotes before I would decide. He said that he had already treated the nest and killed the bees so I already owed him the $495.00 To make a long story short, I refused to pay him anything because I had asked for and was expecting a quote up front. Instead they tried to shake me down and strong arm me into paying for something I never agreed to. It's clear these guys use this tactic all the time which is a deceptive, disgusting, and unethical practice. After a bit of discussion, he said he would take $95.00 which I finally agreed to pay just to get these guys off my property.

If I could give NEGATIVE stars I would! This company came out to remove bees from our roof and quoted me $150-$200 over the phone. The tech, Joe, came out and killed the bees and then told us there was 20-70 lbs of honey that had to be removed immediately or it would begin seeping into our house within the next 24 hrs! That would cost us $900 (a total of $1100!!!!!!). Because we felt under pressure to make a decision right then and there without shopping around at all, we agreed. Then he told us we would have to have a contractor come out the next day to do the repair . . . no idea how much that would run us. Afterward I started calling around and checking them out on-line - ALL negative reviews! F rating with the BBB! AND I called a A+ rated company who told me I hate to say it, but you got taken. I am sick to my stomach. Called Mountain View to express my disgust - They stand by their business practices. It is disgusting! DO NOT USE MTN VIEW PEST CONTROL!!!!!!!!!!!! It's a scam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I could give them a negative star, I would. Don't call them for pigeon control they over charge and say that they will come out if we call them back if we still have a problem. I have called more then ten time and spoke to the tech and they keep saying they will come out but don't. Don't bother even calling and leaving a voice message because they don't call back. When you do call the same tech, they forget your number and address and pretend to take it down again. I am so disappointed by them. Their website looks so good and honest but trying to get them to do what it right, doesn't happen.

Their Web site states, BEE REMOVAL IS OUR SPECIALTY so we called them for a bee problem under the eves of our roof. They came out and and charged us $395 for 15 minutes of the technician's time. The next day the check had already cleared and bees were back in force. Despite the audio recording on their Web site saying they were available 24 hours no one answered the phone number on their invoice. We called a number of times and left at least 2 messages around the 6 and 7 pm time frame. When I called the number on their Web site that I'd called previously someone answered and said, Let me give you the office number. He then gave me the number that no one was answering. When I pointed that out he said, That's because we're closed. So much for them being available 24 hours. So much for bees being their specialty. Steer clear unless you have $400 to throw away. They are not BBB accredited and have negative reviews there as well. I have not seen a good review on this company.  Unfortunately I didn't make the time to research them before calling.

This is by far the WORST company I have ever worked with. Had bees removed about 2 months ago and was assured there was a warranty- when they returned two months later they told me since it was in a different area (about 4 feet from the previous area) that it would not be covered. First guy told me it wasn't nearly as big as the last one and that it wouldn't be nearly as expensive, next guy who shows up tell me after staring into the sky for a few minutes that it will be 900 dollars because he has to cut my roof. This company is full of crap. Oh, and on top of all that they charged me 75 dollars to come out for 5 minutes and tell me that even though I was a returning customer. I am a dental hygienist and see 8 people a day- and I can assure you I will tell each one of them what a horrible company this is and TO NEVER USE THEM. First guy at least apologized, second guy was completely rude and is totally into ripping people off.
