Moon Ornamental Iron

Me Moon was Awesome! We designed two gates and he made them and installed them Perfectly and on time.  He works had and is super nice and easy to work with.  I'd recommend Mr Moon

mr. moon made me beautiful gates--however--did not seal them--did not inform me they were not sealed--months later--im still looking for someone to help me fix them--you should inform your buyers--your the expert on iron--that gates need to be sealed!!!

Moon Ornamental did a beautiful job with my courtyard gate.  It was faded and the handle and lock no longer worked.  I called and they came out the next day and gave a fair quote. They removed the gate as they were leaving and gave me the target date for completion which was about 2 weeks!  It was just installed today on the target date and I could not be more happy!  They had it refreshed with a new powder coating and created a new box area for the new lock and handle.  It looks prefect and they left no mess behind!  I highly recommend them!

On March 15, 2015 Mr Moon and I agreed on terms and signed a contract to complete two courtyard gates for my home.  One of which was to be modeled exactly as the gate we loved on a house a block away.  He took measurements and pictures and set his target date for completion a month later on April 15.  The target date passes, I didn't hear from them so on April 22nd I followed up and called to check on the status of my gates. They told me they needed another week.  Being reasonable and understanding some parts of the process (Powder Coating) were out of their control, I accepted the delay.  We agreed on May 1st for installation.  

May 1st rolls around and they show up as promised and begin installation.  I immediately notice issues.  

1) The iron across the arch of the top of our main courtyard entry gate is bent crooked rather than a continuous arch.  

2) The center slats on the side gate appear to have extra pieces that were glued together at the bottom to fill the space rather than using single pieces.  

3)  The main Courtyard gate is completely missing the 44 round Nail head details that I told Mr Moon I definitely wanted when we discussed replicating my neighbors gate.

I was willing to accept and live with the first two issues but asked him if he would please figure out how to get the nail head details figured out.  He said he would look into it and contact me once he figured it out, but it would come at extra expense.    

Several days passed and I never received a phone call so I called to ask him and he said he's still looking into it.  After following up and calling Moon ornamental at least 10 more times to let him know one of the slats is now loose and to ask if he would finish the job that was started over 4 months ago he is not responsive.  

I am disappointed in the quality and craftsmanship in the work and am even more disappointed in the lack of follow-up Moon Ornamental has as a business.

We hired Moon Ornamental Iron to replace our aging side gate.  I called for an appointment to discuss our options and Mr. Moon arrived on time as promised and was very professional.  Once we decided on a the type of gate we agreed to a date and time for installation.  Again, Mr. Moon arrived as promised and did an excellent job installing the gate.  I would highly recommend Moon Ornamental Iron.

Over the course of 6 years we have used Ornamental Moon for all our gates. Each is more beautiful then the next. All were custom designed to meet every issue of the space. The prices are outrageously great. We could not be happier.  Additionally, Mr. Moon is a pleasure to work with.

From start to finish Mr. Moon and his team did an impressive job installing a new fence for us (and on a 107 degree day in late July no less).  Their work ethic and craftsmanship were impeccable.  It's such a relief to work with someone who does the work themselves and takes pride in a job well done.  Thank you, highly recommend!
