Modern City Solar

Modern City Solar is a great company! Very easy to deal with, they were so helpful from start to finish.
This was one of the best overall experiences I've had with a vendor.  The sales agent that came in was so informative and the way he did the presentation sold us right away. Payments, loan terms and warranty information were easy to understand. No hidden figures or small print. The approval for the lease was done on the spot. Signing up for it was a breeze.
The installation process quick and clean. They kept us informed throughout the whole process and answered all my questions. They kept me updated  on the status and informed me what to expect. Very flexible with my schedule. Their answering service is always available and return calls right away, they won't leave you hanging. The girl who answers the phone is knowledgeable and gets things going right away. Modern City Solar people have it together. If you are looking for a solar company and want the best possible experience be sure and choose Modern City Solar. I would recommend them to manage your solar installations

I was told if I wrote a review, I would receive a gift card. I have not got it as of today.
I still stand by my review, but I did not get what was promised.

As a Solar Analyst with Modern City Solar I can say the friendly, family environment has been the best I have come across in my career.  This is a great company to work for and I would recommend this job to anyone.

horrible. We were made promises that did not happen. I live on a budget. I was promised this would save me money. What a line. Now I'm paying double for power I was paying before. This whole experience from Bobby McGlure To Somonia To Alan has been a nightmare. I totally believe in solar I just should of picked a better company.

We signed up with modern city solar in September. Daniel our solar specialist was very knowledgeable on the solar panels and made the process easy for us. Skylar was super helpful with turning on our solar power and helping us thought the process! The whole company was super quick and kept up informed on everything through the process. We highly recommend modern city solar!

I worked with this great group of people recently, and the energy and level of professionalism they bring with them every single day is second to none! They are enthusiastic and don't let any obstacle stop them from delivering anything short of excellence! At Modern City Solar, working hard at understanding the product, service, and industry is not only encouraged, but it is individually sought out and shared between the teams. I can't say this has been a good experience since I signed the contract a month ago.  Maybe a week or two after signing, a surveyor from Triton Solar came out to look at my roof and after going on the roof and breaking several tiles (he didn't even tell me he broke the tiles, just left them on top of my garbage can), he comes down and tells me that they don't install solar panels on tile roofing.  After I notified Modern City about the damage, representatives from Triton came out at 715am one morning without notice and were up on my roof making repairs.  I would have been happy about that had they not left my side gate open when they left.  When I let my 2 dogs out, they escaped and I had to track them down in a panic.  Now I get an email from the "project manager" informing me that they will be leaving and my project has been assigned to a new person.  I am doubting that this will ever get finished and feel I chose the wrong company to do the job.  Not a happy customer.

Pick a different company for solar.  Expect insults if you don't want to do business with them.

I call for a free quote set up a day on Friday between 9-12 no one showed up. They called a week later and I told them no one showed up so they asked if they could come again so I agreed.  Shane R. came out and did a long display about there company. I said I was interested in it but had to speak with my wife. I asked for the information he was giving me on paper or email he said his computer cant do that but I was ok to take a picture of the info and saving I would be having. Then he had me sign some paperwork, some on city approvals, aps waives, hoa approvals, and penalty's if I cancel after start up. So I did, then the next day Shane texted me at 7am asking if I had time to  talk with my wife and sign the credit application. I Told him I did and that I would like a copy of the documents I signed with him. Then he stated those don't matter until after I sign for the credit application. I said I get that but I would like a copy of the documents before I sign the credit application. He said sure. I have not got any copies of the paper work. Nor have I been contacted since that morning. This was back on October 20 now its the 31 and have received nothing. I will not do business with a company that will not give you paper work I have asked for, that's a bad sales man/ company standard. Stay away from this company
