At DustSharkz we are all former tile and stone installers who have over 25 years in the flooring side of residential remodeling. We are extremely familiar with the problems associated with the tile removal process and have been dealing with it for years. This experience gives us an edge when it comes to knowing whats needed for a successful installation of new flooring as well as DUST FREE tile removal and how we would like to see it if we were to install the new floors.

My name is Rich, founder and owner of Set-N-Stone and DustSharkz Inc. We are proud to be a family owned and operated, and local Phoenix business that offers a unique and completely DUST FREE tile removal service for the Phoenix metropolitan area.
The DustSharkz team has over 30 years in the flooring industry. With this much time, we have seen it all, the good and the bad. With this experience, we know there is nothing worse than installing new flooring in a home that is completely coated in dust from your last tile removal job.

We had 1,500 square feet of ceramic tile and baseboards removed and they did an amazing job - all completed in ONE DAY! A really hard working crew - the lead was easy to communicate with and each person worked incredibly hard and diligently. Lance answered all of my questions up front and everything was left smooth and clean for my new floors. Worth every penny. No corners cut and my newer cabinets and other things were left in fine shape.
We tore up our tile and discovered cracks in the slab. A 'handyman' filled them in and poured a not-so-levelling compound, which was a disaster. For months I could not find anyone to just repair the floor- we got the tiling covered.
A general contractor recommended DustSharkz. They came out and fixed the floor in LESS THAN A HOUR. 10 points.
Really- they did a great job- no mess to clean up and I would definitely recommend them to anyone who has a floor problem that needs attention.
The only downside is that I no longer have an excuse to put off the tiling.

DustSharkz we're very quick to reply to my inquiry and scheduled someone to come out for a quote within a few days. Lance was kind and courteous as he measured our space and had a proposal over to me within 24 hours. Their pricing was very reasonable, and they had our project scheduled within 2 weeks. Day of, the crew arrived on time and were extremely considerate during their time in my home. I have an 8 month old baby and they called me upon arrival to ensure they didn't wake her by knocking on the door, and then made sure I left prior to starting the demo as I had expressed concern about the dust affecting her. They completed the job very quickly and did an excellent job, with very little dust considering the work that was involved. Highly recommend.

DustSharkz did an incredible job removing the tile in my home. I've always heard horror stories about removing tile because of the crazy amounts of dust that get throughout your home. I was blown away with how little dust there was when it was all finished. Not to mention they got it all done in one day. Very impressed and highly recommend.
I hired DustSharkz because of the high reviews here and they lived up to every positive review! I am remodeling a home as a new single mom. Although I have been part of many remodels in my past I have always used a GC and have never hired my own trades. When I met Rich the first time I immediately felt like I could trust him. He made suggestions I had not thought of and helped me understand where I could save money and what could stay and what needed to go. I hired him with no other quotes because of how much time he spent with me at our initial appointment. Rich called me the day before they were scheduled and advises they could start early. Exciting to start on such a positive note. I was told it would take 5-7 days (they basically gutted the place and removed 2500 sq feet of Flagstone). They got done in 4 days! I have never seen a more hard working crew with such attention to detail in my life! I am very impressed with how clean it looks how little damage was done to the drywall. Rich and team just cut my drywall repair budget in half!! I am beyond impressed with the company. Wish they did more cause I would hire them to do the whole house remodel if I could. If there were 1000 stars I would give them here!

Dustsharkz did a fantastic job removing my ceramic tile. They were incredibly easy to work with and true to their word. They showed up on time, sent a crew of 3 guys and were done in the amount of time they promised. The crew were so courteous and conscientious and really care about Customer Service. I can't believe how clean they left the room and very minimal dust. Will definitely use these guys in the future.

DustSharkz did a great job on my home. The men worked there butts off all day long. However it is not dustless. They did dust some things before they left, but there is small tile pieces all over. I'm not complaining but it is far from dustless. Would highly recommend!!!
Couldn't recommend this place enough for truly dust free removal.
1. On time for the (free) estimate. When he said he will be here at 1pm, our doorbell rang at 12:55pm. When they said crew would be here at 9am, crew was here at 8:45am. This is beyond appreciated and has just been rare as we go through remodel projects and have no shows, cancels, or extremely late teams without any courtesy calls. the fact that Dust Sharkz kept their word made this an a stress free start to a huge project day.
2. The crew worked freaking hard. They took a small break and were working before and after without any lag in time. The 830+ sq ft job was done by 5pm. They were kind, respectful of us and our home, and above all PROFESSIONALS.
3. The quality of their work is unmatched. Our friends have gone with other "dust free" companies and it seems 50/50 on if all thinset was removed or if it was truly dust free. No question with this company, what they say, is what will happen.
Side note: we had a concrete refinishing company come by today and they walked in and we're amazed by Dust Sharkz work and how prepped and clean the concrete already was. He said "I don't have to do a single thing to prep, they did awesome". Which shaved us money and time in the end when we stain our concrete.
4. Cost. Dust free removal can be a pricey choice, we got other quotes from other companies and one wanted us to sign a contract that our estimate could have a 25% variance by the time the job is done if they deemed necessary. What?! Dust Sharkz said the quote you get is what you pay unless there are a bunch of floor layers they don't know about, which Rich could already tell was not the case. The investment and headache-free process was worth every penny to not have to clean after.
Would recommend this company 100%. Trust us, we had about 4 bids from other companies. We made our decision within 5mins of meeting Rich and not a single regret or disappointment. We waited a couple days to see if there was anything we would uncover or need to call them back for... nope. They did it all.
After our original contractor bailed last minute we called Dust Shark on a Saturday and they showed up the following Wednesday. They did a fantastic job and would highly recommend, you get what you pay for and we got high quality service and work!

Rick and his company did tile removal in 9/2020. When the work was done, we had to start hounding the company for follow up and completion- most of the texts I still have showing the lack of care and follow up on their part. Our island kickboards were not reinstalled and left in a pile (we had to send Rick pictures before he finally sent his brother to fix those) and our carpet was torn and burned. The workers did not tell us they had damaged the carpet. We notified Rick who said he has a lots of carpet repair knowledge and would do what it took to fix it-
If it couldn't be repaired it would be replaced. But when he saw the rug in person and where the damage was, he tried to get us to agree to change our tile plan and add a border tile to cover the damage. He also tried to convince us to tile that whole area. When we said no he was visibly frustrated and left before my husband could finish talking to him. He sent a separate company over on multiple visits to fix the carpet- the first guy said the carpet was too old to stretch and would rip more, the next guy said he could stretch it fine but when he did it started to tear and he stopped saying it was the best he could do- it still hadn't pulled past the main tear. The next guy said he knew how to work with this and stretched it more. In the end we were told they put down so much glue if we ever replace the carpet it won't come up. We are still left with an area where the carpet doesn't touch the tile leaving a visible gap in high traffic area. Also the stretching has left the carpet with obvious seam lines and puckers. These were not as evident on the last carpet repair day but as the glue dried the carpet puckered and pulled back. Rick was unimpressed with our concerns, ask for pictures, and them would not return our calls/texts. We are left worth damaged carpet- not worth the savings for this company's dustless work.

I have been coordinating a remodel of my house and of all the trades I have been working with, I am most impressed with the communication of this business. Very easy to schedule and answered all my questions. They are very busy so schedule ahead. Unfortunately all my plans had to change and I had to cancel, I will definitely keep their number for when I do need them just because of the ease of communication and they sounded like they actually cared about getting my business. Much more than any other trade or tile removal company I have talked to on this project.

DustSharkz was fantastic from start to finish and we highly recommend them! We had 850 square feet of tile removed (our entire downstairs) and it was very reasonably priced! My husband worked in flooring for years and knows how difficult, expensive, and messy tile removal can be so when we found DustSharkz dust free tile removal company we were extremely pleased. The only prep we had to do was move our furniture out of the way and they did the rest! We came home to a completely tile, grout, and thinset free downstairs with just the tiniest bit of dust on the counter (only had to use one paper towel to clean up the dust)! It was amazing!
Not only was the process and job done well, the whole staff was a pleasure to work with! The office staff was very friendly and quick to respond to any questions. Rich was helpful and quickly measured and priced out our floors and stayed to answer all of our questions. The DustSharkz crew was also very skilled at removing all of the tile down to the concrete and left the house looking great after only 5 hours! Now our lamination installation will be easy with zero prep work involved!
We have already recommended DustSharkz to several of our friends who are looking into having tile removed. Anyone who is looking to have tile removed the best and cleanest way possible for a reasonable price should call DustZharkz!

I had put off replacing the tile in my house for years because I couldn't overcome the thought of the mess & how filthy everything would end up having the tile removed. I can say I'm literally shocked at how my home looked afterwards. There was SO LITTLE dust, it was like I had my front door open a few hours. They left the house very clean. The staff was wonderful, kind, pleasant, in great moods! I would hire them again & again & if I knew it would be this easy of a process to get my tile out I would of replaced my floors years ago! Job well done!. We were grateful to have these guys on board to remove the tile from our home and the dust has been barely noticeable. I didn't have to plastic anything off order do excessive prep work. We just removed any furniture that was in the way and our house is not any dustier than a normal Arizona day. The company was quick to respond to our inquiry and we're one step closer to getting our new floors. This was no easy task! The tile was very difficult to remove and I can't imagine trying to do this on my own. Again very pleased with the quality of work as well as the friendliness of the employees. They were done in a day and a half, despite this job being more difficult than they anticipated. They remove just under 800 ft.² of tile.Would recommend them to anyone!
The people at DustSharkz impressed me from the initial phone call to when the crew left. René answered all my questions on the phone and actually sounded like a normal person, rather than a salesman which I appreciated. (Another company I called to get quotes went on and on about patents and how there would be half a million dollars worth of equipment out front. Was this supposed to impress me or validate their higher price? Didn't work...)
When the team of 4 arrived, they were very courteous and protected my new floors and carpet in other areas of the house. Altogether about 850 square feet of tile was removed in a single day. The job was very well done with only typical patches needed before installing my new floor. It also was dust-free as advertised.
What really sets a company apart in my opinion is how they handle problems. When resetting one of my toilets, the tank broke. Without any argument or confusion, they kindly replaced my toilet with an equivalent the next day. I've worked in the construction industry before and I know things can and do go wrong regularly. A company like DustSharkz that handles problems professionally and quickly is one that I would recommend to any of my friends.

They did a fantastic job and there was zero debris when they left. They are extremely affordable and efficient. Super nice crew and Rich couldn't be anymore responsive. He was on time and quick with estimate. Thank you dustsharkz.
We replaced several hundred square feet of tile after we had already remodeled the kitchen and baths, so we were worried about dust and damage. The concrete slab also had black mastic on it under the old tile and thinset, so this needed to be ground off too to ensure good adhesion of the new tile.
DustSharkz did a great job protecting the kitchen counters and cabinets, removing all the old tile, and grinding off all the thinset and mastic. They have high-power vacuums and a system that captured virtually all the dust. They were very detailed and thorough with the grinding and cleanup and got the job done quickly. The cost was similar or not much more than the tile installers would have charged, but we had several tile installers tell us DustSharkz did a better job than they would have and made less mess.
We're having them come back to do another room.
We had DustSharkz remove about 800 sqft of tile. Price was very fair. They did the work as advertised. Floors were clean, dustless and ready for new tile. Staff are very professional and courteous. They came in and knocked the job out in an afternoon. We were considering doing the job ourself but thought twice about the work involved. So glad we called DustSharkz. I highly recommend using their service.

This review is long overdue. In Oct 2020 DustSharkz removed 1200 SF of tile from my house. These guys are awesome. They were in by 8 and out by 5. They did in 9 hours what my other bids said would take 3 to 4 days. The place was pretty much spotless when they were finished. The floors were ready for the new flooring immediately. My hardwood flooring contractor did a walk through the next day and said DustSharkz did such a good job that is would take one day less to install the flooring since they would not have to come in and do any prep work. I highly recommend DustSharkz if you need tile remove.

I put off having our tile removed because I just couldn't deal with the mess it would leave. Then I heard about dust free tile removal so I immediately started doing the research. DustSharkz was referred to me and now I know why. They were great! Arrived on the day they scheduled and two days later, all the tile in my home was removed. They did a great job!! Even though it wasn't 100% dust free, it was 97% dust free and that was good enough for me. And we didn't have to cover everything or move all of our clothes out of the closet, only the ones that were hanging just above the floor. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend DustSharkz!!

We recently had approximately 500 sq. feet of tile removed from our house. DustSharkz did the work and we couldn't be happier. Nothing is 100% dust free, but when they left our house it was 99.5% dust free, and it doesn't get much better than that. These guys were professional, friendly and knew what they were doing. They were in and out in one day. Not only do I recommend them, but I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. Call Rich... he's/they're the best!!!

Rich and his team did an excellent job with our tile removal project. The workers showed up on time and proceeded to complete the work as requested in a clean and timely manner. Afterwards there was follow up to ensure we were satisfied. Our floors were left in good clean condition for the tile installation project that followed. this was my third remodel and having previously removed saltillo tile, now facing travertine and porcelain I researched the "dust free removal" companies. there are a few, a couple far more costly. Rich and his team were responsive, professional, polite, on schedule and if any minor issues came up they were addressed and resolved. Pricing was far better than the other "dust free" companies and DustSharkz equipment does work. When I removed the saltillo tile from a prior home I actually used a leaf blower to try to remove the dust that seemed to never go away. With DustSharkz the amount of dust that was on any furniture that I didnt cover was no more than what one would have if you didnt dust for a week. I would highly recommend Rich and his team.
